*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Satan's technique of reverse logic

Satan uses a very foul and cunning technique; he attempts to influence
people by using "reverselogic." He seeks to use that method to turn
people away from the communication of religious moral values, the
struggle against atheism and the spread of moral virtue. In doing
this, satan approaches people who listen to himwith very
reasonable-seeming justifications. Those who go along with this
cunning technique of satan's have a great number of pretexts, excuses
in other words, for not worshiping, for not communicating the
religion, for not undertaking difficulties for Allah's (God's) sake,
for not living for His approval and for not striving against
hereticalbeliefs. Satan's technique is so sly, so base and so
deceptive that people who harbor doubts about striving forAllah's sake
have not a moment's hesitation when it comes to putting these excuses
to use. Some portray themselves as genuine Muslims, but, consciouslyor
otherwise, actually adopt satan's reverse logic. They regard
themselves as preferential, and insteadof striving for Allah's sake
they devote themselves to maintaining their prestige in other people's
eyes. They are hesitant when it comes to obeying Allah's commands, and
try to pull those people who endeavor in this path into the same trap
they have fallen into themselves. In that way, they ease their
consciences and seek to convince themselves they are on the right
path. But their own lower selves bear witness that their consciences
are uneasy because they do not live for Allah's approval.
Some of the false hopes that satan instills in these people who do
notlive by their consciences are as follows:
1. The idea that "Do not expose Darwinism as a lie, that just makes a
further propaganda for Darwinism":
Darwinism is the worst corruption, the most heretical religion of the
last two centuries, whichhas spread across the world and inflicted
atheism, oppression, suffering, wars, immorality and degeneration upon
it. It is the Dajjal's greatest mass deception that has taken in and
spread across the whole world. The intellectual struggle against
Darwinism is the struggle against atheism, and against all ideologies,
corruption and scourges developed to oppose belief in Allah. And this
intellectual struggle, of course, needs to be a very excellent,
intensive and determined one for Allah's approval.
Some people know in their hearts they should be involved in this
struggle. They are well aware that the worst corruption of the century
has to be eliminated and that belief in Allah and proper moral values
must prevail once again all over the world. But they avoid that
struggle. Striving on behalf of Allah seems very arduousto them. As
Almighty Allah reveals in the verse" If it had been a case of easy
gains and a short journey, they would have followed you, but the
distance was too great for them ..." (Surat at-Tawba, 42), they are
reluctant to shoulder such a burden. For that reason, they follow the
reverse logic developed by satan and attempt to misdirect the
struggle. They suggest that the struggle against Darwinism actually
propagates Darwinism. They make the claim that"Darwinism is dead, so
why are you struggling against it?" They put forth the claim that
"Youare giving the impression that an already dead theory is still
alive." Based on this reverse logic, they maintain that the fact that
Darwinism is a deception should never be mentioned. In line with
satan's reverse logic they avoid taking part in the struggle
themselves and also try to prevent others taking part.
The fact is, however, that this heretical religion is still active,
and there needs to be a determined campaign inorder to put an end to
it.Ignoring the way that Darwinism leads to atheism and massacres
issomething that no sincere Muslim can accept.
2. The idea that "If you disseminate Islam, your name will be known
everywhere and you willbecome famous. You must avoid propagating Islam
in order to avoid fame":
Deceiving people with his reverse logic, satan tries to prevent the
communication of the faith. With this false suggestion, satan gives
people the idea that by communicating the faiththey are aggrandizing
themselves and spreading their own renown, and that this is
undesirable. Using a weak and villainous logic, he suggests that the
more people who communicate the faith describe the Islamic moral
values, the more they spread their own fame, for which reason they
must stop communicating the faithforthwith.
But this is a deception.
In the same way that he misled unbelievers in thepast, satan also
tries to employ the same corrupting technique today. One must be on
one's guard against this indoctrination of satan's and respond with
open conscious, sincerity and the Qur'an. Although the same
accusations were raised against the prophets in the past, they never
made any concessions on describing their belief inAllah or
communicating the moral values of the faith, and never hesitated to
tell the truth. They acted in the light of the Qur'an, not of satan's
deceptive techniques, and broughtthe truth with them. If a Muslim is
sincere he must immediately detectthis ruse of satan's and assume the
responsibility of communicating the faithin the light of the Qur'anand
his own conscience, in the knowledge that this is Allah's command.
3. The logic of "Do not struggle against Freemasonry and
atheistZionism. That just makes further propaganda for them."
In order to maintain his own system and to prevent the spread of
belief in Allah, satan wants all the heretical religions he has
imposedas scourges on communities to be very powerful. Freemasonry and
atheist Zionism are currently satan's main tool, that have brought all
countries under their influence, have spread atheism and Darwinism and
are the main causes of wars and oppression. The struggle against these
will turn all the satan's efforts up side down and eliminate all his
delusions. For that reason, satan approaches people with what seem to
be perfectly acceptable arguments, though his intention is to ensure
the survival and spread of these perverted beliefs. In doing this, he
suggests the following: "Do not struggle against these heretical
beliefs, because to do so just helps propagate them."
Satan claims that the exposure of the covert activities, immorality
and irreligiousness of Freemasonry and atheistZionism just keeps them
in the public eye and strengthens them. He therefore suggests that the
best thing is for the secret activities of these people struggling
against belief in Allah not to be revealed. He continues with his vile
delusion by saying, "Let them do what they want, as long as you never
mention it."
In one verse our Lord says:
" What reason could you have for not fighting in the way of Allah –
for those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, 'Our
Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give
us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You !'?" (Surat
an-Nisa', 75)
As revealed in the verse, in order to strive in the name of Allah, one
must strive against all superstitions and ideologies that have emerged
to oppose belief in Him. Everyone who genuinely lives for Allah knows
that this is compatible with Allah's approval, and that sitting back
as atheism spreads and people being ruthlessly oppressed is not
compatible with the Qur'an and conscience. The only thing that needs
to be done is to immediately expose satan's cunning reverse logic and
think in the most honest way, according to the Qur'an. When one thinks
according to the Qur'an, one will immediately seethat these heretical
movements set up to deny Allah must be eradicated for His approval and
a strong and determined strugglemust therefore be waged against them.
4. The logic of "Do not communicate the faith, as it has already been
communicated in the time of our Prophet (saas)"
Almighty Allah says in one verse:
" He (satan) makes promises to them and fills them with false hopes.
But what satan promises them is nothing but delusion ." (Surat
an-Nisa', 120)
Satan offers many excuses even when it comes to not communicating the
faith, one of Allah's greatest commandments. So much so that he seeks
to suggest that the communication of the faith is a task for prophets
alone, that the faith was communicatedby our Prophet (saas) 1,400
years ago and thatthe commandment in the Qur'an has thus beencarried
out. Moreover, he also proposes the logic that institutions such as
Secretary of Religious Affairs have today taken over that
responsibility and that their activities are sufficient for everyone.
For that reason, he tries to give the impression that there is no need
to constantly communicate the religion of Allah in spoken and written
form, and thus seeks to prevent the faith being preached.
But this is a terrible deception and mistake.
Everyone has a responsibility to communicate the moral values of the
faith, as Almighty Allah reveals in the Qur'an:
Let there be a community among you who call to the good, and enjoin
the right, and forbid the wrong. They are the ones who have success .
(Surah Al 'Imran, 104)
At a time when people are being oppressed under the administrations of
atheist ideologies and when irreligiousness rules the world, the
mosturgent thing for everyone who lives by the moral values of the
Qur'an and has a joyous and loving attachment to Allah to do, is to
communicate the moral values of the faith. Such people know that the
most urgent task is to tell others of the moral values of the Qur'an,
in compliance with the Qur'an and their own consciences. They are
certain that societies under the influence of atheist ideologies can
only be saved when theycome to know the moral values of the Qur'an and
to believe in Allah. For that reason, they assumethe task of
communicating Allah's religion with all their might. It ill befits a
genuine and honest Muslim to suppress his conscience by going along
with satan's reverse logic. The communication of the religion of Allah
is one ofthe main religious obligations needing to be observed in the
current climate of oppression. The responsibility for denying this and
heeding the delusions ofsatan may be a very burdensome one in the
sight of Allah.
Our Lord describes how satan deceives people in another verse:
I will lead them astray and fill them with false hopes. I will command
them and they will cut off cattle's ears. I will command them and
theywill change Allah's creation.' Anyone who takes Shaytan as his
protector in place of Allah has clearly lost everything . (Surat
an-Nisa', 119)
If someone fears Allah and is a friend of Allah, ifthey live by the
Qur'an making no concessions and aim for the Hereafter rather than
forthis world, then they must always behave in an honest and
conscientious manner. It is obvious what a sincere person needs to do
for Allah's approval. Ignoring these things forvarious reasons can
only be a ruse of satan's. All peoples over thousands of years have
gone along with these deceptive tactics of satan's by one way or
another, and have fallen into a grave error. For that reason, the duty
of all genuine Muslims is to learn from the peoples of the past and
immediately oppose satan's delusions and vile methods. The
communication of the faith and in the prevention of atheist ideologies
has taken place with a powerful struggle, taking the Qur'an and the
prophets as a guide. There is no doubt that it is Allah Who will make
His faith sound and strong. And there is no doubt that Allah is mighty
enough to do this when and how He wills. Allah is He Who needs nobody
and nothing. (Allah is surely beyond this.) It is a blessing from
Allah that He makes genuine Muslims His instruments in this sacred
duty. For that reason, honest people must see this truth and perform
their duties in the most determined manner, communicating Allah's
religion and striving against atheist ideology to the full extent of
theirmeans and paying no heed to the delusions of satan. As our Lord
reveals in one verse, " He[satan] has no authority over those who
believe and put their trust in their Lord ." (Surat an-Nahl, 99)
Almighty Allah has made a promise to all Muslims:
"Allah has promised those of you who believe and do right actions that
He will makethem successors in the land as He made those before them
successors, and will firmly establish for them their religion with
which He is pleasedand give them, in place of their fear, security.
'They worship Me, not associating anything with Me.' Any who
disbelieve after that, such people are deviators ." (Surat an-Nur, 55)

The miracle of fire and wood that cannot be obtained artificially

Have you thought about the fire that you light? Is it you who make the
trees that fuel it grow orare We the Grower? We have made it to be a
reminder and a comfort for travellers in the wild.So glorify the name
of your Lord, the Magnificent! (Surat al-Waqi 'a, 71-74)
One of the chemical substances mainly responsible for the structure of
wood is "lignocellulose." This substance is a compoundof the materials
known as "lignin" and "cellulose" that give wood its hardness. In
terms of chemicalstructure, woodis made up of 50% cellulose, 25%
hemicelluloses and 25% lignin. 1 An analysis of these substances'
chemical formulae reveals three vital elements: hydrogen, oxygen and
carbon.
Hydrogen, oxygen and carbon are the building blocks of millions of
substances in nature. Butas a miracle from Allah, these three also
combineto give rise to the substance "lignocellulose" found inplants.
Although scientists know that theycontain these substancesthey are
unable to reproduce this special material in plants. Although these
elementsfound in large amounts in nature can easily be obtained,
scientists havebeen unable to obtain a single piece of wood by
artificial means, despite having countless examples before them. Yet
all the trees we see around us have been ceaselessly producing this
compound for millions of years by combining oxygen, carbon, water and
sunlight.
One of the compounds inlignocellulose is water, expressed by the
formula H2O. The fact that wood is one of the most flammable materials
despite containing a large amount of water is a most special state of
affairs. The above verse is very wise in noting that wood cannot be
made by human beings, by fire. Thanks to these compounds and the water
it contains, wood is one of the most important fuels of fire.
Trees are an important sphere of scientific research, and inspire
scientists, who are still struggling to grasp all the details in their
creation, in a number of areas. The complex structures of the cells
that constitute trees have still not been fully unraveled, despite
advances in technology and intensive research. The Forestry Commission
of Great Britain, one of the world's leading forestry research
institutions, says the following under the heading "Lack of
Information on the Chemistry and Structure of Wood Fibres":
Despite the knowledge resulting from earlier and ongoing research,
there still exists a lack of information on the chemistry and
structure of wood fibres. Large variations can be found within a
single tree, from the pith to the barkand from the base to thetop of a
tree. Often the chemistry and structure of a wood cell are extremely
heterogeneous and difficult to investigate with conventional
techniques. 2
A paper in the scientific journal Plant Physiology titled "Our
Understanding of How Wood Develops is not Complete" describes the
limited knowledge of the subject that scientists possess:
Considering the important role that wood is foreseen to playin the
near future, it is surprising to see that our understanding of how
wood develops is far from complete. With a few exceptions, very little
is known about the cellular, molecular, and developmental
processesthat underlie wood formation. Xylogenesis represents an
example of cell differentiation in an exceptionally complex form. This
process is controlled by awide variety of factors both exogenous
(photoperiod and temperature) and endogenous (phytohormones) and
byinteraction between them. It is driven by the coordinated expression
of numerous structural genes (some of known function) involved in
cellorigination, differentiation, programmed cell death, and heartwood
(HW) formation and by virtually unknown regulatory genes orches
trating this ordered developmental sequence. The presence of gene
families and the extreme plasticity of the metabolism involved (as
exemplified by the unusual behavior of plants with transformed cell
walls; for review, seeFagard et al., 2000) add a further complexity to
our understanding of the process of wood formation. 3
The extraordinary creation in wood is emphasized thus in another
scientific journal, Annals of Botany:
Wood formation is a highly complicated process involving an
unbelievable variety of metabolic steps in the roots, stem and crown
ofshrubs and trees. At the centre of these processesis cambial
activity which results in the release of young woody cells that
undergo maturation until autolysis of the protoplast, indicating the
final developmental stage. Later on, in various tree species, woody
cells become further modified by an additional process calledheartwood
formation. The properties of wood that make it an appropriate raw
material for many purposes are largely determined by the specific
architecture of the cell walls. Difficulties in investigating these
many developmental stages appear when routine techniques, which work
well for soft plant tissues, are applied. Therefore, in most cases,
these techniques need modification or the use of completely revised
protocols to yield good results for woody tissues. 4
These details in the creation of wood remind us, as set out in Surat
al-Waqi 'a, that wood cannot be made by human beings. Just a few of
the inimitable features of wood, which cannot be produced
artificially, are as follows:
Wood, a Resistant Material
The hard and resistant nature of wood is the result of the cellulose
fibers it contains. Because cellulose is hardand insoluble in water.
Itis this property of cellulose that makes the use of wood in
construction so advantageous. Cellulose, described as a "contractible
and incomparable substance," has for centuries been used a great deal
more than other materials in keeping wooden buildings standing, other
buildings, bridges and many other structures.
Wood consists of parallelcolumns made up of convex cells laid end to
end. These are surrounded by cellulose fibers in spiral form. In
addition, these cells are contained in "lignin," a substance made from
a complex, polymer structure resin. These spirally enclosed layers
make up 80% of the thickness of the cell wall and are the part
bearingthe main load. When a wood cell collapses internally it absorbs
the shock of a blow by detatching itself from the surrounding cells.
Even when such collapses causes a crack along the length of the fiber,
the wood remains unharmed. That is why wood is strong enough to bear
specific loads even if it is broken.
In terms of absorbing the energy of low-speed blows and reducing the
damage therefrom, wood is a most important material. The Second World
War planeknown as the "Mosquito" was made bycompressing wood between
strips of fiber board, making it the most damage-resistant plane of
its time. The hardness and resistant nature of wood make it a very
reliable material. Because wood breaks or cracks slowly enough to be
visible from the outside, and that gives people enough time to take
the necessary precautions . 5
A material based on the structure of wood can be up to 50 times more
resistant than other synthetic materials in use today. 6 This unique
structure of wood is today used in materials developed to protect
against the impact of high speed and destructive fragments such as
bombs and bullets. But scientists have never been able to replicate a
piece of wood with all its many attributes. Every detail inthe
creation of wood, - the thickness of the internal layers, their level
of compression, thenumber of vessels, their layout and the materials
inside it, have been specialy created to resultin that resistance.
The Hydraulic System That Raises Water Many Meters against the Force of Gravity
The dead part of wood, the "xylem," contains hollow channels. These,
also known as "wood vessels," consist of inanimate cells that
gradually lose their nuclei and cytoplasms piled one on top of the
other. Long, thin wood vessels form when the membranes between
thecells dissolve and disappear.
Roots spreading out beneath the soil carry the water and minerals the
plant needs upward through these tissues and transmit them as far as
the leaves. The way the roots absorb the water in the ground is
literally reminiscent of the test bore technique. The roots have no
engines to initiate the water absorption process. Neither do they have
any technical equipment with which to pump water and minerals for
distances of up to several meters. Butthe roots absorb the water in
the depths of the soil by spreading over a very wide area.
This lifting process that the plant performs so flawlessly is in fact
an exceedingly complex one. Yet this system has still not yet been
fully understood, even in these days of high technology and space
travel. The present of a "hydraulic system: in plants was determined
some two centuries ago. But we still do not know how this action in
defiance of the force of gravity takes place. The superior technology
squeezed into such a confined space is just one of the examples
demonstrating the incomparable knowledge of our Lord the creator of
the system. Like everything in the universe, AlmightyAllah created the
transportation system in trees.
7
As seen in the picture to the left, wood consists of tube or
straw-shaped cells. By combining one on top of the other, these cells,
which make up the roots and trunks of plants, serve as channels that
carry water and minerals right through the plant. This tisue, known as
"xylem," also constitutes a powerful structure that enables the plant
to remain upright. To the right can be seen a slice of dry wood in
cross-section. Whendried out, the tube-like channelsbecome hollow, as
shown in theillustration.
Roots Capable of Selecting Minerals from the Soil:
Plants draw all the mineral nutrients they need, such as
potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and sulfur, from the soil.
Since the substances are not found seprately in the soil, they absorb
them asions (positive/negativelycharged atoms). Of all the many
inorganic ions in dissolved state in the soil, plants absorb only the
14 they need.
The iron concentration inside plant cells is 1,000 times greater than
that in the soil outside. 8 Under normal condition, an exchange of
matter from a high density region to a lower density one will take
place. But exactly the opposite happens in plant roots, and the ions
in the soil are easily ableto pass into the root cells. 9
Because of this state of affairs that operates contrary to the
pressure system, the plant uses a high level of energy in the pumping
process. In addition, in the plant roots' taking up ions from the
soil, there needs to be an identification system that attracts only
the wanted ions and repels the unwanted ones. This shows that the ion
pumps in the root cells are no ordinary pumps, but possess the ability
toselect between ions. Bearing in mind that thecell in the plant roots
aremade up of atoms devoid of any intelligence or consciousness, one
can better see what an extraordinary process ion selection truly is.
Photosynthesis: The Superior Technology in aMiniature Factory
It is not only the wood and root parts of trees that cannot be
obtained by artificial means, but also the leaves. Most important of
the features that make leaves inimitable is their ability to make
photosynthesis. Photosynthesis, one of the systems that scientists
still do not fullyunderstand, may be summarized as plants
manufacturing their own nutrients. Thanks tothe structure in plant
cells that makes them able to make direct use of solar energy, they
store solar energy, at theend of various complex processes, in the
form of energy that can be used by human beings and animals. In
addition, the photosynthetic energy stored in trees is also given off
during burning. For example, the energy emitted by wood burned to heat
a house is actually energy from the Sun stored during the formation of
wood. 10
The photosynthesis system, which operates like a miniature factory,
takes place in an organelle known as the "chloroplast" inside the
plant cell that gives the plant its green color. Chloroplasts are just
one-thousandth of a millimeter in size, for which reason they can only
be seen under the microscope. When solar energy falls on the leaf they
transmit it to the layers inside it. Chlorophyls inside the
choloplasts in the leaf cells convert this light energy into chemical
energy. The plant obtaining this chemical energy immediately usesit in
obtaining nutrients. It took scientists until the mid-20 th century to
obtain this information summarized in just a fewlines here. Pages of
chain reactions are written to describe the whole process of
photosynthesis. But some links in the chain are still unknown. Yet
plants have been performing these processes uninterruptedly for
hundreds of millions of years, thus providing theEarth with food and
oxygen.
The chloroplast shown magnified in the illustration above is in fact
just one-thousandth of a millimeter in size. It contains many
organelles that assist with the process of photosynthesis.
Photsynthesis, which takes placein many stages, not all of which are
yet understood, takes place at high speed in these microscopic
factories.
The fact that not a singlecell constituting wood can be made by
artificialmeans, and human beings' helplessness in the face of dead
wood cells, shows the presece of a sublime Creator. Theproperties of
wood, about which many volumes could be written, their countless
aspects that so inspire scientists, all reveal the sublime knowledge
and intellect behind the creation of wood. This intelligence and
knowledge manifested in wood belongs to Almighty Allah, the Creator
and sole Lord of all things.

The wisdom behind the prohibition of blood in the Qur’an

He has only forbidden you carrion, blood and pork and what has been
consecrated to other than Allah. But anyone who is forced to eat it –
without desiring it or going to excess in it – commits no crime. Allah
is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat al-Baqara, 173)
The wisdom behind Allah's prohibition of blood emerged during the 20th
century. By carrying vitamins, hormones, oxygen and substances such as
protein, sugar and fat absorbed during digestion to the cells, blood
makes it possible for life to survive. On theother hand, it also
carries various toxins and waste products that need to be expelled
from the body. One of the most important tasksperformed by blood is
totransport substances such as urea, uric acid, keratin and carbon
dioxide that need to be removed from the body.
Therefore, in the event that significant quantities of blood are
consumed, the level of products in the body that should be expelled
will rise considerably. That will increase the levels of urea, harmful
substances transported to the kidneys for expulsion from the body. This
can impair brain functions and even result in coma. That is why,
because of its very nature, there will alwaysbe harmful compounds in
blood, even if taken from healthy animals. If it is taken from a sick
animal, various parasitesand germs will also be transmitted in it. In
that event, the germs may multiply and spread throughout the body. And
that is the real danger. If someone consumes blood, all the germs and
waste products in it may spread through the bodyand lead to such
diseases as kidney insufficiency or liver coma. In addition, most of
the microbes carried in the blood may cause other diseases by damaging
the lining of the stomach and the intestines.
What is more, blood is not a sterile environment; to put it another
way, it is ideal for germs to grow in. i Since microbes have excellent
opportunities to feed in blood, it represents an ideal environment for
them. When in equilibrium with the functions of theother fluids in the
body and the immune system, blood does not support micro-organisms,
and therefore disease. In a healthy individual, thesemicro-organisms
live by making use of one another inside the body. When that
environment is seriously impaired, when the internal equilibrium is
damaged, in other words, they mayturn into micro-organisms that cause
disease when they find the appropriate surroundings.
For example, when the blood pH level (acid and alkali balance) is
imbalanced because of poor nutrition or harmful chemicals, harmless
microbes can change into ones that cause disease. If the body is to be
healthy, the pH level of the blood should be around 7.3. Even small
variations in that level may cause thatbalance to be impaired and
cause micro-organisms to become more harmful in order toadapt to their
surroundings. Blood being sterile may be compared to milk going off
when left outside. Microbes already presentin the blood exhibit
harmful effects by adapting to their new environment. ii
In addition to all this, blood is not suitable for use as a food
product. The level of digestible proteins such as albumin, globulin
and fibrinogen is low; just 8 grams in 100 ml. of blood. The same
applies to fats. In addition, blood contains a high level of
hemoglobin, a complex protein that is very difficult to digest and is
unacceptable to the stomach. When blood clots, the protein fibrinogen
gives rise to aplate containing erythrocytes (red blood corpuscles) by
turning into fibrin. Fibrin is one of the hardest proteins to digest,
thus making blood even more difficult to digest. In conclusion, health
experts agree that bloodis unfit for human consumption in any form.
After saying: "Unlawful for you are carrion, blood and pork, and what
has been consecrated to other than Allah, and animals which have been
strangled, and animals which have been killed by a blow, and animals
which have fallen to their death, and animals which have been gored,
and animals which wild beasts have eaten – except those you are able
to slaughter properly – and animals which have been sacrificed on
altars, and deciding things by means of divining arrows – that is
deviance…." Almighty Allah goes on to say…" But if anyone is forced by
hunger, not intending any wrongdoing, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most
Merciful" (meaning that an exception can be made.) (Surat al-Ma'ida,
3) People of the time were unaware of the wisdom behind it, but were
protected by abiding by Allah's prohibition. Those who believe and
trust in Allahand comply with His commandments and prohibitions will
enjoy auspicious lives in terms of the Hereafter and alsolive under
Allah's protection and infinite mercy.

Fathwa, - 'Aqeeqah meat may be kept and served later

Question
As salaam o alaikom. Thanks for answering myprevious question. I am
presently pregnant Alhamdulillah and would like to do the aqiqah of my
child on the seventhth day Insha allah. Can the meat be preserved and
used for giving a feast after a couple of weeks, as I will not be able
to attend to guest due to ill health? It is a practice in our family
to give gifts to newborn irrespective of the fact that the aqeeqah is
performed or not. So they inquire if aqeeqah will be done or not. If
done they bring gifts along with them in the invitation and if not
done they come and giveanyday. So I will not be able to stop them
bringing gifts. Can the gifts be accepted for the fact that it is
given out of love and not as an exchange of aqeeqahs invitation?
Please answeras soon as possible as there is only a month left for my
delivery. Jazak Allah Khair.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
It is permissible, Allaah willing, to slaughter an 'Aqeeqah on the
seventh day after the birth of the child and serve it at a Waleemah
(banquet) on another day; the matter in this regard is flexible. It
should be noted that it is permissible to distribute the 'Aqeeqah as
meat, and it is also permissible to cook the meat and invite the
people to it. Ibn Qudaamah said: " If one cooks it [the 'Aqeeqah] and
calls his (Muslim) brothers to it, then this is good. "
On the other hand, it is permissible for you to accept the gifts on
the occasion of the birth of the newborn whether or not the 'Aqeeqah
is held, as the teachings of Islam urged people to accept gifts and to
recompense for them. Abu Hurayrah said the Prophet said: " Exchange
gifts, as this removes the spite from your hearts towardsone another;
and a Muslim woman should not look down upon the gift sent by her
she-neighbor even if it were the trotters of the sheep ."

Fathwa, - This method of reading Soorah Yaa Seen is Bid'ah

Question
Someone told me to readSurah Yaseen after 2 rakhas of Sunah prayer in
fajr in such a manner i.e " start yaseen and read till 1st mobeen,
thenstart again and read till 2nd mobeen...so on till the 7th mobeen"
after this pray 2 rakhas of fard prayer of fajr. Do this for 7 days
and whatever need we have from Allah swt it will be fullfilled. Plz.
let me know if above mentioned way of reading is correct.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
The method which you mentioned in the question is an innovationwhich
has no basis in the Sharee'ah, so you must not do it as the Prophet
said: " Whoever introduces into this matter of ours (Islam) that which
is not a part of it; it will be rejected. " [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
Imaam Muslim narrated this Hadeeth with the following wording: "
Whoever performs an act which is not in accordance with ours [our
religion], it will be rejected from him. " [Muslim]
Imaam An-Nawawi said in his interpretation of Saheeh Muslim: " One
should learn this Hadeethand use it in invalidating evil
[innovations], and one should spread the information about using this
Hadeeth as evidence….. "
Whoever worships Allaahwith anything other thanwhat Allaah has
legislated, his act of worship will be rejected from him and Allaah
will not accept it from him. Furthermore, as far as weknow, neither
the Quran, nor the Sunnah nor the acts of the Companions support this
method, so you should be keen onasking the scholars aboutanything
which you do not know and not take knowledge from any oneyou like.
Allaah Knows best.

Fathwa, - Inheritance of father andtwo wives

Question
Assalaamu 'Alaykum; Please calculate the inheritance according to the
following information -Does the deceased have male relatives who are
entitledto inherit: (A father) -Does the deceased have female
relatives who are entitled to inherit : (A wife) Number 2
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
If the deceased did not have any heirs except those mentioned, then
his two wives will get one-fourth of inheritance, to be divided
equally between them, because the deceased has no children. Allaah The
Exalted says (what means): { And for the wives is one fourth if
youleave no child } [Quran 4:12].
The remainder of the inheritance will be given to his father by
Ta'seeb (by virtue of having a parental relation with the deceased and
not having an allotted share, so he gets what is left after the
allotted shares have been distributed) asthe Prophet , said: " Give
the prescribed shares to their due recipients and what remains would
be for thenearest male relative. " [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
Based on that, the estate should be divided into 8 shares, one-fourth
(2 shares) of which should be given to the two wives; one each, and
the rest (6 shares) will be given to the father.
Allaah Knows best.

*Belief in the Angels

* Every Muslim must believe in angels. We know from the Quran (that
which means): "…Whoever disbelieves in Allaah, His angels, His books,
His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray."
[Quran: 4:136] In the Hadeeth (narrative) of the angel Jibreel when he
came to the Prophet and asked him aboutIslaam, Eemaan (belief), and
Ihsaan (sincere and true faith in Allaah), the Messenger of Allaah
said about Eemaan: "Eeman isto believe in Allaah, His angels, His
books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in the Divine
decree, [both] the good and the bad thereof." [Muslim]
The angels have been present throughout all the stages of our
creation, performing some duty. When we were in our mothers' wombs, an
angel was there, breathing a soul into us. They arethere everyday
reporting to Allaah our deeds. They are there every second recording
what we whisper and speak. When the time of our death comes, they are
ready to take our souls. Whenthe Day of Judgement commences, an angel
will blow the Horn that will mark the commencement of the Day of
Judgement.
Allaah has created the angels from light. The Prophet said: "The
angels were created from Noor (light), the jinn were created from fire
and man was created from what has been described to you."
Angels are honourable slaves of Allaah; they obey Him and execute His
commands. Allaah describes them with what means: "They do not disobey
Allaah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded."
[Quran: 66:6]
Allaah created them to worship Him, and only Allaah knows how many
they number. Among them are:
Jibreel, who is charged with delivering Divine revelations to the
Prophets and Messengers of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention.
Meekaa'eel, who is charged with the delivering of the rain and
subsistence (provision, etc.).
The angel of death, who is charged with extracting human souls,
The bearers of the Throne of Allaah.
The guards of Paradise and Hell.
Besides these, there are angels who guard humans, others who record
people's deeds and utterances and still others who are charged with
various other duties and tasks.
They do not eat or drink; they arecharacterised by neither femininenor
masculine attributes, and they never tire. Some spend their entire
existence in Rukoo' (bowing) and others in Sujood (prostration). When
Judgement will be called, they will raise theirheads and say: 'Glory
be to You, our Lord! We did not worship Youin a way befitting Your
Majesty.' They are a creation of Allaah, a creation that took place
before the creation of our father Aadam .
The Messenger of Allaah told us about their characteristics andduties.
Amongst these characteristics are the following:
Firstly: They are huge in size. The Prophet said: "I saw Jibreel in
the fashion that he was originallycreated in. He had six-hundred (600)
wings, with each wing filling the (entire) horizon (i.e., the east to
the west – as far as the eye can see)." This event was mentioned in
the Quran where Allaah says what means: "And he [i.e., Muhammad ] has
alreadyseen him [i.e., Jibreel] in the clear horizon [to the east]."
[Quran: 81-23]
Secondly: They have the ability to change their shape, as we know in
the story of Maryam, may Allaah exalt her mention, and in this Hadeeth
of Jibreel when all the Companions saw him wearing an intensely white
garment and having intensely black hair.
Thirdly: They live in the heavens, from there they descend to carry
out their appointed duties. Allaahthe Exalted says what means: "The
heavens almost break up from above [by the Grandeur of Allaah above
them], and the angels exalt [Allaah] with praise of their Lord…"
[Quran: 42:5]

The Angels and human beings - II

The emissaries of Allaah to His Messengers and Prophets:
Allaah has told us that Jibreel (Gabriel) is the only one who carries
out this mission through the verse (which means): "Say [O Muhammad]:
'Whatever is an enemy to Jibreel (Gabriel)-it is [none but] he who has
brought it[i.e. the Quran] down upon your heart, by permission of
Allaah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good
tidings for the believers.'" [Quran 2:97]
Revelation may be brought by angels other than Jibreel, but
thishappens rarely – as stated in the narration that was narrated by
Ibn `Abbaas who said: "Whilst Jibreel was sitting with the Prophet he
heard a creaking sound above him, and he raised his head. He said:
'This is a door in the heaven which has been opened today, and it has
never been opened before today, and an angel has come down through it.
This is an angel who has come down to theearth, and he never came down
before today. He [that angel] gavethe greeting of Salaam and said:
'Rejoice, for you have been granted two lights which have not been
given to any Prophet before you: the Opening (chapter)of the Book
(chapter Al-Faatihah) and the closing verses of chapter Al-Baqarah.
You will not read even one letter of them but you will be granted
reward."' [Muslim]
According to Huthayfah the Messenger of Allaah said: "An angel came to
me and greeted me with salaam – he came down from the heavens and he
had never come down before – and he gave me the glad tidings that
Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn would be the leaders of the youth of Paradise,
and that Faatimah would be the leader of the women of Paradise."" [Ibn
`Asaakir]
Not everyone to whom an angel comes is a Messenger or a Prophet:
Not everyone to whom an angel comes can be counted as a Messenger or a
Prophet; this is anillusion. Allaah sent Jibreel to Maryam (Mary), as
He sent him to the mother of Ismaa`eel (Ishmael) when she ran out of
food and drink. (And it is known that neither of them wereProphets).
The companions saw Jibreel in the form of a Bedouin. And Allaah sent
an angel to that man who visited a brother of his for the sake of
Allaah, to tell him that Allaah loved him because he loved his
brother... This happened a lot, and the reason was to make a point.
How did the revelation come to the Messenger ?
Al-Haarith Ibn Hishaam asked the Messenger : "O Messengerof Allaah,
how does the revelation come to you?"
The Messenger said: "Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of a
bell, and that is the hardest for me. Then it departs from me, and I
understand what has been said. Sometimes the angel comes to me in the
form of a man who speaks to me, and I understand what he says."
[Al-Bukhaari]
Jibreel used to come to the Messenger in his angelic form. This was
difficult for the Messenger . At other times Jibreel would change from
his angelic form and take on human form, and this was easier for the
Messenger .
The Messenger saw Jibreel twice in the form in which Allaah created him:
Three years after the beginning of the Prophetic Mission:
The Messenger of Allaah said: "Whilst I was walking, I heard a voice
from the heavens. I raised my head and saw the angel who had come to
me in (the cave of) Hiraa', sitting on a throne between the heavens
and the earth. I was scared of him, and I went back (home) and said
(to his wife), `Cover me!'" [Al-Bukhaari]
When he was taken up into the heavens (the Ascension)
This occasion was mentioned in chapter An-Najm, where Allaah Says
(what means): "(The Quran was) Taught to him (i.e. Muhammad) by one
intense in strength [i.e. Jibreel] — One of soundness. And he rose to
[his] true form. While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon.
Thenhe approached and descended. And was at a distance of two bow
lengths or nearer. And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed
[i.e. conveyed]. The heart did not lie [about] what it saw. So will
you dispute with him overwhat he saw? And he certainly saw him in
another descent. At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary — Near it is
the Garden of Refuge [i.e. Paradise] — When there covered the Lote
Tree that which covered [it]. The sight [of the Prophet] did not
swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit]." [Quran 53:5-17]
The mission of Jibreel:
The mission of Jibreel is not restricted only to conveying the
Revelation from Almighty Allaah. He used to come to the Prophet every
year in Ramadaan, on every night of that month, to teach him the
Quran. According to Ibn `Abbaas : "The Messenger of Allaah was the
most generous of people, and he was at his most in generosity during
Ramadaan, when he used to meet Jibreel, and he used to meet him every
night during Ramadaan, to study the Quran with him. The Messenger of
Allaah was more generous in doing good than the strong windwhen it
blows." [Al-Bukhaari]
His leading the Messenger in prayer:
Jibreel led the Messenger Muhammad in prayer, so that he could learn
the prayer as Allaah wanted it to be performed. According to Ibn
Mas'ood the Messenger said: "Jibreel came down and led me in prayer,
so I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, thenI prayed with him,
then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him" — and he counted them
off on his fingers five times." [Al-Bukhaari]
The Messenger said: "Jibreel led me in prayer at the Ka'bah twice. He
led me in praying Thuhr(noon prayer) when the sun had passed its
zenith by the length of a sandal-thong, and he led me in praying Asr
(afternoon prayer) when the shadow of every object was the same length
as the object itself. He led me — prayingMaghrib (sunsert prayer)— at
the time when the fasting person breaks his fast. He led me in praying
'Ishaa' (night prayer) when the twilight had ended. And he led me in
praying Fajr (dawn prayer) at the time when food and drink become
Haraam (forbidden) for the one who is fasting.
On the following day, he led me in praying Thuhr when the shadow of an
object was the same length as the object itself. He led me in praying
'Asr when the shadow of an object was twice as long as the object
itself. He led me in praying Maghrib at the time when the fasting
personbreaks his fast. He led me in praying 'Ishaa' when a third of
the night had passed. And he led me in praying Fajr when there was a
fair amount of light. Then he turned to me and said: `O Muhammad,
these are the times (observed by) the Prophets before you, and the
time (for each prayer) is anywhere between these two times (mentioned
in each case). "' [Abu Daawood]

The Angels and human beings - I

1 – The angels and Aadam
When Allaah, the Most Exalted, wanted to create Aadam He informed His
angels of that. They asked Him the reason behind that, because they
knew that the sons of Aadam would cause corruption and shed blood, and
they would disobey Allaah and disbelieve in Him. He told them that
there were reasons for the creation of Aadam which they did not know.
Allaah Says in the Quran (what means): "And [mention, O Muhammad],
when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth
a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who
causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your
praise and sanctify You?" He [Allaah] said, "Indeed, I know that which
you do not know." [Quran 2:30]
Their prostration to Aadam when he was created:
Allaah commanded His angels to prostrate to Aadam when Hehad completed
his creation and breathed His soul into him, Saying (what means): "[So
mention] when your Lord said to the angels: "Indeed, I am going to
create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and
breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in
prostration ." [Quran 38:71-72]
They responded to the command, except for Satan, as in the verse (which
means): "So the angels prostrated — all of them entirely.Except Satan;
he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers." [Quran 38:73-74]
How the angels taught Aadam :
It is narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah said:
"Allaah created Aadam in his image (i.e. without progressing through
the stages of a normal human, starting froma sperm until the
completion of his human formation), and he (Aadam) was sixty cubits
tall. When He had created him, He said, `Go and greet them – a
group of angels who were sitting– and listen to how they respond, for
that will be your greeting andthe greeting of your descendents.' So he
said, 'As-Salaamu `Alaykum,' and they said, 'As-Salaamu `Alayka wa
rahmat-Allaahi. So they added thewords wa rahmat-Allaah."
[Al-Bukhaari]
The angels washed Aadam when he died:
When Aadam died, his children did not know what they should do with
his body, so the angels taught them. Ubayy Ibn Ka'b narrated that the
Prophet said: "When Aadam, died, the angels washed his body with water
an odd number of times, then they buried him in a grave with a niche
(land), and said: This is the way of the sons of Aadam." [Al-Haakim
and At-Tabaraani]
It is narrated in an authentic narration that the angels
washedHanthalah Ibn Abu `Aamir who was martyred in the battle of Uhud.
The Messenger said to his companions after Hanthalah was killed: "The
angels are washing your companion" – meaning Hanthalah. The companions
asked his wife, and she said that he had gone out when he heard the
call to Jihaad, and he was in astate of ritual impurity following
marital relations. The Messenger of Allaah said, "That is why the
angels washed his body." [Al-Haakim and Al-Bayhaqi]
2 – The angels and the sons of Aadam :
The connection between the angels and the descendents of Aadam is very
strong. They are there when a person is created, they guard him/her
afterhe/she emerges into this world. They bring the revelation from
Allaah and they watch over people's actions and behaviour. They bring
a person's soul forth from his body when his appointed time (of death)
comes.
Their role in the creation of man:
Abu Tharr said: "I heard the Messenger of Allaah say: `When forty-two
nights are passed, Allaah sends an angel to the nutfah (embryo) and he
gives it shape, forming its hearing and sight, its skin, flesh and
bones. Then he says: `O Lord, male or female?' Then your Lord decrees
whatever He wills and the angel writes it down.'" [Muslim]
It is narrated that Ibn Mas'ood said: "The Messenger of Allaah who is
the most truthful one, told us: "Each one ofyou comes together in
mother's womb for forty days, then becomes an 'Aalaqah (clot) for a
similar period of time. Then he becomes a Mudhghah (chewed lump of
flesh) for a similar lengthof time. Then Allaah sends an angel to him,
who is commandedwith four things. It is said to him:Write down his
deeds, his provision, and whether he is doomed (destined for Hell) or
blessed (destined for Paradise). Then the soul is breathed into him.'"
[Al-Bukhaari]
The Prophet also said: "Allaah has appointed an angel over the womb,
and he (the angel) says, 'OLord, a Nutfah (embryo from the mixed
discharge of male and female); O Lord, an 'Alaqah (clot); O Lord, a
Mudhghah (chewed lump of flesh).' And when Allaah wants to decree his
creation, he says: `O Lord, male or female? Doomed or blessed? What is
his provision? What is his lifespan?' All of that is written when he
is in his mother's womb." [Al-Bukhaari]
The angels guard the sons of Aadam :
Almighty Allaah Says (what means): "It is the same [to Him] concerning
you whether one conceals [his] speech or one publicizes it and whether
one is hidden by night or conspicuous [among others] by day. For him
[i.e. each one] are successive [angels] before and behind him who
protect him by the decree ofAllaah. Indeed, Allaah will not change the
condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And
when Allaah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And
there is not for them besides Him any patron." [Quran 13:10-11]
Ibn `Abbaas has explained that what is meant by"successive angels" is
the angels whom Allaah appoints to guard aperson from before and from
behind. Then when the decree of Allaah comes, which Allaah wills
should befall him, they withdraw from him.
Mujaahid said: "There is no person who does not have an angel
appointed to protect him when he is asleep and when he isawake, from
the jinn, other men and savage beasts. None of these come to him, but
the angel tells it, `Keep away!' except for that which Allaah has
given permission to befall him."
A man said to 'Ali Ibn Abu Taalib : "A group from (the tribe of)
Muraad want to kill you." He (`Ali) said: "With every man there are
angels guarding him from whatever has not been decreed for him. When
the decree comes, they move away from him and letit reach him. Your,
fixed lifespan (decreed by Allaah) is a protection for you."
[Al-Bidaayah Wan-Nihaayah]
These guardians are sent by Allaah to protect His slaves until the
decreed time of death comes to them.

Social Problems - His wife torments his daughter from another wife, and he has a son from her, and he is confused as to how he should deal with her.

I got married two years after my divorce, and I told my second wife
thatI had a daughter, and I hoped that she would seek reward with
Allaah by raising her, but I was shocked to find that she treats my
daughter badly, and she torments her. On one occasion shemade her fall
to the ground, and she injured her face -- she was two years old --
and she always threatens her because the girl cannot control herself
when sheneeds the bathroom. As a result of that, it generated hatred
and resentment towards her in my heart, and I have divorced her twice.
I have a son from her whois 1½ years old. I can no longer put up with
her bad treatment of my daughter, especially since I am far away
frommy family, and my mother is elderly and does not have the strength
to raise my daughter. Her mother left her with me when she was three
months old. Today I came home and she said to me: I burnt your
daughter's leg and stomach with a spoon that I heated on the fire, so
that she will learn to go to the bathroom by herself andnot -- excuse
me -- relieve herself in other rooms. I am fed up and all of my life
is worry and fear for my daughter, who is now 4½ years old. I can no
longer trust this woman, but I'm thinking of this poor child (my son).
Please tell me what the Islamic teachings are and advise me, may
Allaah bless you. I have suffered, and am mentally and physically ill
as a result of this.
Praise be to Allaah.
It seems that the series of sufferings that you are facing with this
woman will continue, and the list of her bad deeds will grow longer.
Her bad treatment of your little girl will never know any limit; if
your daughter was an animal it would not be permissible for her to
dowhat she has done to her.
We are certain that if your son from her were to suffer as your
daughter is suffering because of not being able to go to the bathroom
by himself, you would not see him being treated as badly asshe is
treating your daughter. This -- unfortunately -- happensa lot with the
wives of fathers, and many, both male and female, suffer from this.
What we advise you to do is:
You must deal with the matter seriously and quickly, try to instil a
sense of love, mercy and compassion in her heart,in the hope that she
will stop what she is doing. Ifyou succeed in doing that, then you
will have achieved what you wantand she will still be your wife.
If you do not succeed, then you have no choice but divorce. We do not
advise you to be hardhearted and harsh, because that will only make
her more cruel towards your daughter, and she will find more ways to
harm her, whilstconcealing the evidence of her misdeeds. Hence ifshe
does not respond to you and change her behaviour, and mend her ways in
response to kindness and persuasion, there is no solution that will
put an end to your suffering except divorce, sooner rather than later.
You are aware of your daughter's suffering, and you hear her cries,
and you see the injury toher face and the burns on her leg and
stomach, yet despite that you're still confused because you have a son
from her.So how would it be if there were more children then?! But we
will not hide anything from you, and we will tell you frankly that
witha woman such as this, whom you have divorced twice yet it has not
stopped her wrongdoing and aggression, there is no hope for much good
in her, and it cannot be expected that she will bekind to your
daughter, because mercy cannot be instilled by means of threats or
warnings in the heart of one whom Allaah has deprived of it.
If you think of divorcing her for a third time, or she sees signs of
that in you, do not leave your daughter with her, rather leave her
with one of your relatives or with trustworthy women among your
neighbours or friends, because she might try to take revenge on her
because of your divorcing her. We do notknow how you are going to deal
with the matter, because women vary, hence we are afraid that she may
do something to your daughter. With such women there is no regret in
separating from them.
We ask Allaah to relieve your distress and worry, and to reward you
for your calamity, and replace it with good from Him.
And Allaah knows best.

- Social Problems - Advice and guidelines for someone who cannot mix with people and prefers to stay homealone.

I cannot bear to mix with people and I prefer to be alone. I feel that
I am in a state of distress when I mix with others. The Messenger
(blessingsand peace of Allah be upon him) commanded us to pray in the
mosque. What should I do? I would rather not pray than pray in the
mosque.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
The situation you are in does not only have to dowith praying in the
mosque, rather it has to do with other duties which require you to go
out of the house, such asupholding ties of kinship, earning money so
that you can live, seeking knowledge, enjoining what is good,
forbidding what is evil, and so on.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The fact of the matter is that mixing may sometimes be obligatoryor
mustahabb. An individual may be enjoined to mix with others sometimes
and toremain alone sometimes. That depends on the purpose. If mixing
with others is for the purposeof cooperating in righteousness and
piety, then it is enjoined; but ifit is for the purpose of cooperating
in sin and transgression, then it is forbidden. Mixing with Muslims is
a kind of worship, as in the case of the five daily prayers, Jumu'ah,
Eid, eclipse prayers, prayers for rain and so on. This is something
that Allah andHis Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
have enjoined. The same applies to mixing with them on Hajj and when
fighting the kuffaar and rebels, even if the leaders of that are
evildoers and even if there are some evildoersamong the people
involved.
The same applies to being involved in gatherings that increase a
person's faith, either because he benefits from these gatherings orhe
can benefit others, and so on.
Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 10/425
Thus you can see that the way you are is something that is not
pleasing to the Lord of the Worlds, and you have to look again at
thesituation and realise thatwhat you are doing is a trick from the
shaytaan who is making your situation and your bad deed look good to
you. Beware of him and his tricks, and get ready to fight him, and
trust that your Lord will help you by granting victory against him.
Secondly:
If you feel distress when mixing with people, then we can be certain
that you will never be better off on your own or in isolation. Rather
the wolf eats the sheep that wanders off from the flock and the
shaytaan overpowers those who are solitary and do not have helpers to
help them obey their Lord or supporters who will support them against
the shaytaan and his troops. Even if you find some annoyance in mixing
with people, that mixing, if you bear it with patience, is still
better than not mixing. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon him) praised the one who mixes with people and bears their
annoyance with patience.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allaah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "The believer who
mixeswith people and bears their annoyance with patience will have a
greater reward than the one who does not mix with people and does not
put up with their annoyance." Narrated byal-Tirmidhi (5207) and Ibn
Maajah (4032).
Moreover, there is no reason for your isolationand you do not have --
as far as we can see -- any justification for which we would encourage
you to remain like that. We feel that any isolation which results in
you not praying jumu'ah for prayers in congregation is not acceptable
and wedo not encourage it.
Some of the reasons for isolation include total corruption of people,
lack of people to supportyou in adhering to the truth, each person
admiring his own opinion, and lack of benefit in sincerely advising
people. By Allah's grace, none of these are applicable in Muslim
societies or even in kaafir societies. We have heard of thousandsof
kuffaar who are entering the religion of Allah all the time, and we
hear of others like them, sinners who have begun to follow the pathof
guidance. Indeed we find that people are thirsting for those who will
quench their thirst and they are hungry for those who will feed them,
in spiritual terms of goodness and guidance.
As for your justification for isolation, namely shar'i knowledge, we
donot think this is the case. You are preferring isolation to the kind
of mixing that is obligatory, so if you are neglecting Islamic
dutiesbecause of this isolation of yours, what kind of sha'i knowledge
do you have so that we could tell you to keep away from people and
focus on obeying your Lord and preserving your religious commitment?
Hence Abu Sulaymaan al-Khattaabi (may Allah have mercy on him)
said:Isolation only benefits scholars and wise men, but it is the most
harmful of things for theignorant. And he narrated from Ibraaheem that
he said to Mugheerah: Acquire deep understanding of Islam, then you
can isolate yourself.
See: al-'Azlah by al-Khattaabi, p. 225
Thirdly:
As you have written to us -- and we appreciate that -- this means that
you are still holding on to a thread and the beginning of the right
way to bring you out of this fatal loneliness. You have entered the
world of the Internet, which is millions of times greater than your
small world that you have forsaken. In this vast world there is far
more evil than in your forsaken world. So beware of that, for how much
temptation it has caused to righteous people and how much evil it has
caused to righteous and chaste women.
Strive to do the acts of worship which Allah has enjoined on you,
first and foremost among which is praying in congregation in the
mosque. In the answer to question number 120 you will find the
evidence for this duty. You also have to earn permissible income so
asto protect your dignity and spare you from having to ask of people,
and so that you can honour your parents and take care of them and help
them to buy what they need or help them to get to the placesthey want
to go, and uphold ties of kinship with your family and relatives.
You should remember that this world will never be free of hardships,
worries and distress. If you want a place where there is none of these
things, with complete happinessand ease, a good life and the pleasure
of Allah, then you will find that in the Paradise of Allah in the
Hereafter. Sostrive for that Day and rid yourself of that which may
cause you distress in this world by reducing your involvement in it;
ask Allah to help you to attain that, and remember that isolating
oneself is nothing more than being alone with the Shaytaan, and it
will only bring you more worries and distress. Do you not see that the
punishment of imprisonment is painful for the free man, and the worst
form of it is solitary confinement? Sohow can you prefer for yourself
that which prisoners would sacrificethat which is most dear to them in
order to escape?
We ask Allah to guide you to the truth and to help you to follow the
path of the righteous among His slaves; were itnot for the fact that
Allahdecreed that they shouldmix with people and establish acts of
worship, we and you would not have known Islam or had the honour of
belonging to it. So become one of the troops of Islam, wield your
weapon in the face of your shaytaan and make up for what you have
missed by striving hard and doing acts of worship on a solid basis.
And Allah is the source ofstrength.

Social Problems - He said to his fiancée: If you conceal anything from me, you will be haraam to me after marriage.

My fiancé knows that I was in a relationship with someone else before
I met him, and the other person is his friend. There took place
between me and this person some things which did not go as far as
major immorality, but they are haraam. Now I have repented and I ask
Allaah to forgive me.
The problem is that my fiancé is not sure about what happened in the
past with his friend, and he has heard some of hisfriends say bad
things about me and that this friend has told them what took place
between us. My fiancé made me swear to him that I would tell him
everything that happened and he himself swore that I would be haraam
to himafter marriage if I concealed anything fromhim or told a lie. I
swore with the Mushaf in my hand and inside the mosque and upon the
Qur'aan that I would be haraam to him if I concealed anything fromhim,
but in fact I did conceal what happened to me in the past. Please note
that I am going to get married soon, if Allaah wills, and I am afraid.
Am I sinning withregard to him, knowing that he always tells me that
he will never forgive me and will never be pleased with me before
Allaah if I conceal anything from him. What should I do, may Allaah
reward you with good?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
The fiancé or husband has no right to ask abouthis wife's past. It is
sufficient for him that she is righteous and is known for good at the
time of marrying her, and there is nothing wrong with her religious
commitment orchastity. As to whether she did anything haraamin the
past, but then repented from it and became righteous, it is wrong to
ask her about that and make her choose between telling lies or getting
divorced, or make her tell her secrets and disclose that which Allaah
had concealed for her, then if she tells him the truth, that opens the
door to doubt and suspicion.
What some people call for, of each spouse being frank with the other
and telling them of things in the past thatAllaah has concealed, is
wrong and ignorant. Rather they should be pleased that Allaah has
concealed it and they should praise Allaah for it.
Secondly:
A wife or fiancée is not obliged to tell us what happened in the past
that Allaah has concealed. Rather she must conceal herself, because
the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: "Avoid
this filth that Allaah has forbidden. Whoever does any such thing,
then let him conceal it with the concealment of Allaah." (Narrated by
al-Bayhaqi; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah
al-Saheehah, no. 663).
And Muslim (2590) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased
with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him)
said: "Allaah does not conceal a person in this world but Allaah will
conceal him on the Day of Resurrection."
If her husband or fiancé persists in asking, then she may use a double
entendre, such as saying:Nothing happened between me and that man --
meaning that nothing happened todayor yesterday, because she is
enjoined to conceal it and there is no interest to be served in
telling him. So it is prescribed for her to usea double entrendre, and
in fact some scholars said that it is permissibleto tell a lie in that
case. For more details on that please see the answer toquestion number
83093 .
Based on that, we hope that there will be no sin on you because of the
liethat you told, although itwould have been better to use a double
entendre.
Thirdly:
If a man says to his fiancée: You will be haraam to me after the
wedding if you concealed anything fromme, then she conceals something
from him, shewill not be divorced and no zihaar will take
place, because divorce and zihaar can only take place after marriage,
and the fiancé is saying this before the marriage contract has taken
place. So no divorce or zihaar takes place.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: It should
be noted that divorce can only take place after marriage, because it
is the dissolution of the marriage bond. So before marriage there is
no divorce. Even if a mansays to a woman: If I marry you, then you are
divorced, then he marries her, she is not divorced. Or if a man's wife
said to him: I heard that you want to take a second wife and I do
notagree to that, and she put pressure on him, andhe said to her: Will
you be pleased if I say that if I marry a woman, she is divorced? And
she said: I am pleased with that, then he said it and did not get
married, and if he did get married she would not be divorced, because
that took place before the marriage. Endquote from al-Sharh al-Mumti'
(13/7).
We ask Allaah to accept your repentance and to set your affairs straight.
And Allaah knows best.

Islamic Stories - Army of Elephants

The following incident ismentioned in Surah Feel of the Holy Quran and
it happened during the period of the birth-year of Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him). Abraha Al-Ashram was the governor of Yemen on
behalf of the king of Ethiopia. He (Abrahah) thought to build a
house(like the Kabah at Makkah) in Sana (the capital of Yemen) and
call the Arabs to performthe pilgrimage there in Sana instead of the
Kabah in Makkah, with the intention of diverting the trade and
benefits from Makkah to Yemen. He presented his idea to the king of
Ethiopia who agreed to it. So the house (church) was built and he
named it Al-Qullais; there was no church of its like at that time.
Then a man from the Quraish tribe ofMakkah came there and was
infuriated by it, so he relieved his nature (stools and urine) in it,
soiled its walls and went away. When Abrahah Al-Ashram saw that, he
could not control his anger and raised an army to invade Makkah and
demolish the Kabah. He had in that army thirteen elephants and amongst
them was an elephant called Mahmud which was the biggest of them. So
that army proceeded and none amongst the Arab tribes that faced them
(fought against them) but was killed and defeated, till itapproached
near Makkah. Then there tookplace negotiations between Abrahah
Al-Ashram and the chief of Makkah (Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim, the
grandfather of the Prophet), and it was concluded that Abrahah would
restore the camels of Abdul Muttalib which he had taken away, and then
he (Abrahah) would decide himself as regards the Kabah. Abdul Muttalib
ordered the men of Makkah to evacuate the city and go to the top of
the mountains along with their wives and children in case some harm
should come to them from the invading oppressors. Then that army moved
towards Makkah till they reached valley Muhassir. While the army was
marching towards Makkah, in the middle of the valley, suddenly it was
overtaken by flocks of birds, flocks after flocks, air-raiding that
army with small stones slightlybigger than a lentil seed. There never
fell a stone on a soldier except it dissolved his flesh and burst it
into pieces. So they perished with a total destruction. Abrahah
Al-Ashram fled away while his flesh wasbursting into pieces till he
died on the way (back to Yemen). Such was the victory bestowed by
Allah, (the All-Majestic, All-Powerful) to the people of Makkah and
such was the protection provided by Him for His House (Kabah in
Makkah).

Islamic Stories - A World of Smile

About ten years ago when I was an undergraduate in college, I was
working as an intern at my University's Museum of Natural History. One
day while working at the cash register in the gift shop, I saw an
elderly couple come in with a little girl in a wheelchair.
As I looked closer at this girl, I saw that she was kind of perched on
her chair. I then realized she had no arms or legs, just a head, neck
and torso. She was wearing a little white dress with red polka dots.
As the couple wheeled her up to me I was looking down at the register.
I turned my head toward the girl and gave her a wink. As Itook the
money from her grandparents, I looked back at the girl, who was giving
me the cutest, largest smile I have ever seen. All of a sudden her
handicap was gone and all I saw was this beautiful girl, whose smile
just melted me and almost instantly gave me a completely new sense of
what life isall about. She took me from a poor, unhappy college
student and brought me into her world; a world of smiles, love and
warmth.
That was ten years ago. I'm a successful business person now and
whenever I get down and think about the troubles of the world, I think
about that little girl and the remarkable lesson about life that
shetaught me.
