*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

The idea that 'mutations cause evolution' is a falsehood

Mutations are dislocations, breaks and impairments as a result of
radiation of chemical effects in the DNA molecule in the nucleus of
the living cell and thatcarries all the information about a human
being. The information in DNA is setout by 4 separate nucleotides,
symbolized by the letters A, T, C and G, laid out in a special and
significant sequence. But an error in a single letter in that
sequence will damage the entire structure. The leukemia observed in
children appears because one of the letters in the DNA is incorrect.
The reason fordiseases such as cancer appearing or subsequent
generations being deformed as a result of the radiation leakage in
Chernobyl of the atom bomb droppedover Hiroshima is harmful effects of
this kind caused by mutations in people's bodies.
Almost all mutations are harmful, and they are generally lethal to
living things. Examples of mutations that are not harmful generally do
theorganism no good, and are at best neutral. Scientists have
concluded that not a single one out of all those that have been
studied has had a positive effect on a living thing's life. 1
But the theory of evolution is based on fictitious mutations that
produce "new" living things and work miracles. Darwinists maintain
that species emerge from one another through structures and organs
appearing as a result of countless fictitious and beneficial
mutations. This claim, a source of terrible shame for Darwinists, is
put forward by Darwinist scientists who know thatmutations always harm
an organism. Moreover, although Darwinists are well aware of these
harmful effects of mutations they still pointto a mutant, four-winged
fruit fly subjected to mutations in the laboratory in support of their
claims. Darwinists portrayed theextra pair of wings produced in a
fruit fly as a result of carefully performed mutations as the greatest
evidence that mutations could lead to evolution. But the two wings in
question actually damaged the creature rather than benefiting
it,leading to its losing the ability to fly. The University of
California molecular biologist summarizes the position as follows:
In the 1970s, Cal Tech geneticist Edward B. Lewis discovered that
bycarefully breeding three mutant strains he was able to produce a
fruit fly in which the balancers were transformed into a second pair
of normal-looking wings.
At first glance, this mightseem to provide evidence for Carroll's
claim that small developmental changes in regulatory DNA can produce
large evolutionary changes in form. But the fruit fly is still a fruit
fly. Furthermore, although the second pair of wingslooks normal, it
has no flight muscles. A four-winged fruit fly is like an airplane
with a second pair of wings dangling uselessly from its tail. It has
great difficulty flying or mating, so it can survive only in the
laboratory. Asevidence for evolution, afour-winged fruit fly is no
better than a two-headed calf in a circus sideshow. 2
Jonathan Wells continues:
Disabled fruit flies with extra wings or missing legs have taught us
something about developmental genetics, but nothing about evolution.
All of the evidence points to one conclusion: no matter what we do to
a fruit fly embryo, there are only three possible outcomes-a normal
fruit fly, a defective fruit fly, or a dead fruit fly. Not even
ahorsefly, much less a horse. 3
As we have seen, the four-winged mutant fruit fly that is the only
evidence that Darwinistspoint to in support of their warped claims is
in fact nothing more than adisabled fruit fly. No matter what effect
mutations may have on a life form, they do not possess the miraculous
property of bestowing a characteristic belonging to another life form
ontoit. But Darwinists want to believe the lie that miracles occur in
living things by way of mutations.
The interesting thing is that although Darwinist scientists know that
the fruit fly in question is defective, attempts are still made to
depict it as the greatest evidence for evolution by mutation in school
text books. The molecular biologist Jonathan Wells writes:
According to Peter Raven and George Johnson's 1999 textbook, Biology ,
"all evolution begins with alterations in the genetic message… Genetic
change through mutation and recombination [the re-arrangement of
existing genes] provides the raw materials for evolution." The same
page features a photo ofa four-winged fruit fly, which is described as
"a mutant because of changes in Ultrabithorax , a gene regulating a
critical stage of development; it possesses two thoracic segments and
thus two sets of wings."

Adding to the confusion, textbook accounts typically leave the reader
with the impression that the extra wings represent a gain of
structures. But four-winged fruit flies have actually lost structures
which they need for flying. Their balancers are gone, and instead of
being replaced with somethingnew have been replacedwith copies of
structuresalready present in another segment. Although pictures of
four-winged fruit flies give the impression that mutations have added
something new, the exact opposite is closer to the truth. 4
Even if we assume that the "fictitious first cell" that Darwinists
claim represents the beginning of life and that cannot possibly have
come into being bychance did actually emerge spontaneously, even the
smallest stage of the imaginary evolutionary process that would have
to take place to give rise to man with his complex structure would
require an astounding amount of information to be produced and
countless mutations to take place. "All" of these many mutations have
to be beneficial to the life form or else bring about the appearance
of something "new." Because a single error inthis fictitious
developinglife form will cause the entire system to go wrong and
collapse. Ninety-nine percent of mutations are harmful while 1% are
neutral. It flies in the face of both reason and science, therefore,
to suggest that every single one of these mutations that would have to
take place according to the theory of evolution can be beneficial.
It is therefore impossiblefor a brand new organ or characteristic that
didnot exist before to appear by chance as the result of mutations.
Mutations have no power to bestow new information on a life form that
does not belong to it, or to turn it into a different organism. The
idea of mutation represents the greatest manifestation of the
falsehood and illogicality of Darwinism.Because the idea of evolution
is based on these illusory "beneficialmutation" that do not in fact
exist.
The Infinite Amount ofTime Needed for Hypothetical Beneficial Mutations
Even if we hypothesize that beneficial mutations could take place, the
idea of mutation is still incompatible with the theory of evolution.
In a paper titled "The Inadequacy of Neo-Darwinian EvolutionAs a
Scientific Theory," Professor Murray Eden from the MIT (Massachusetts
Institute of Technology) Faculty ofElectrical Engineering showed that
if it required a mere six mutations to bring about an adaptive change,
this would occurby chance only once in a billion years - while, if two
dozen genes were involved, it would require 10,000,000,000 years,
which is much longer than the age of the Earth. 5 Even if we assume
that mutations were effective and beneficial in complex organs and
structures requiring more than onemutation to occur at the same time,
mathematicians still say the problem of time is an acute dilemma for
Darwinists. Even Professor of Paleontology George G. Simpson, one of
the most unrepentant Darwinists, clearly states that it would take an
infinite length of time for five mutations to happen at the same time.
6 An infinite amount of time means zero probability. And that is a
probability applying to all the structures and organisms possessed by
living things. There is thus no possibility of theglorious variety of
life we see in our daily lives coming about through mutations.
The evolutionist George G. Simpson has performed another calculation
regarding the mutation claim in question. He admitted that in a
community of 100 million individuals we assume to produce a new
generation every day, a positive outcome from mutations would only
take place once every 274 billion years. That number is many times
greater the age of the Earth, estimated at 4.5 billion years. 7 These,
of course, are all calculations assuming that mutations have a
positive effect of that new generations gave rise to. But no such
assumption applies in the real world.
Why Is the Body That Is Supposedly EvolvingProtected against Mutations?
All evolutionist scientists know that the probability of a replication
error taking place in a living thing's DNA for no reason is verylow.
Research has revealed that there are protective elements in the cell
that prevent genetic errors arising. The information in DNA cannot be
copied in the absence of particular enzymes that protect one another
against errors. These include doubt-filter enzymes for ensuring that
the right amino acid binds to the right tRNA. One filter rejects amino
acids that are too large, and the other those that are too small.
This is a very sensitive and rational system. There are also enzymes
that do the final checks against the possibility of any error arising
in this intelligent system. Scientists have concluded that there is
abetter cellular control and protection system aimed at maintaining
the integrity of DNA thanthey had ever imagined. 8
Pierre Paul Grassé, who spent 30 years as professor of evolution atthe
Sorbonne, wrote thison the subject:
The probability of dust carried by the wind reproducing Dürer's
"Melancholia" is less infinitesimal than the probability of copy
errors in the DNA molecules leading to the formation of the eye. 9
Darwinists ignore this miraculous system in DNA and avoid going deeply
into the subject and coming with any explanation of it. But they
construct a scenarioof the history of life builton replication errors
with an almost zero possibility of coming about. This once again
reveals the nonsensical nature of Darwinist logic.
Following the realizationthat Darwin's idea of natural selection very
definitely did not constitute an account of the so-called evolution
and the emergence of the laws of genetics as a lethal blow to
Darwinism, the claim of the "evolutionary effect of mutations," which
had been the main weapon of neo-Darwinism, was seen to be no more than
a deception. It is absolutely ridiculous to claim that a mechanism
such as mutation, which damages, destroys and kills the living
organism, as well as sometimes harming all subsequent generations, can
give rise to whole new living things.
But masses of people were taken in by this lie for years. Darwinist
scientists of course knowthat mutations have no such miraculous power.
Even Richard Dawkins, one of the present day's most fervid Darwinists,
admits that "most mutations are deleterious, so some undesirable side
effect ispretty likely." 10 The reason why Darwinists still propose
this discredited claim as a mechanism for evolutionis their devotion
to the superstitious religion of Darwinism.

Darwinists' efforts tocover up living fossils is fraudulent

Darwin was amazed when he found a fossilized Gingko tree leaf during
his research. An identical counterpart to something living today was
found with exactly the same appearance as it has today in strata
dating back millions of years. This fossil, which on its own
represented a serious dead-end for his theory and which caused Darwin
enormous concern, was described by Darwin in person as a "living
fossil."
If Darwin were alive today, there is now doubt that his alarm on this
subject would be even greater. Because the gingko is not the only
living fossil to have survived. Some of the more than 250 million
fossils that have been unearthed to date belong to complete and fully
formed entities, while the majority represent living fossils. Fossil
specimens dating back millions of years from very many species living
today have been discovered and put on display. (For details see
http://www.fossil-museum.com/fossils/ and
http://atlasofcreation.com/index.php ) The horses, giraffes, fish,
dogs, birds and reptiles alive today have all left traces dating back
millions of years with the same states and appearances that they have
now. The fossils illustrated in the Atlas of Creation and those on
show at various exhibitions and on the Fossil Museum website represent
just a few of the specimens in question. There are so many of these
specimensthat nearly every life form alive today is represented by
membersof the same species dating back millions of years. And these
fossils are in complete harmony with the organisms around today.THERE
IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOSSILS DATING BACK MILLIONS OF YEARS AND
CONTEMPORARY LIVING THINGS. LIFE FORMS HAVE NEVER CHANGED. THEY ARE
THE SAME NOW AS WHEN THEY WERE FIRST CREATED.
Niles Eldredge, the well-known evolutionist paleontologist and
director of the American Museum of Natural History, summarized their
helplessness in the face of the reality that living fossils are one of
the greatest dilemmas confronting evolution:
...there seems to have been almost no change in any part we can
compare between the living organism and its fossilized progenitors of
the remote geological past. Living fossils embody the theme of
evolutionary stability to an extreme degree.....We have not completely
solved the riddle of living to an extreme degree. ....We have not
completely solved the riddle of living fossils. 1
Although Eldredge attempts, in his own eyes, to conceal Darwinists'
despair by the use of the term "evolutionary stability" and seeks to
give the impression that as if "an evolutionary process really did
take place in the past, but then underwent stability" the fact of the
matter is this: The fossil record proves that no evolutionary ever
happened at any time. All living species appeared in a moment with all
the characteristics they possess today, and have never changed over
the course of tens of millionsof years. Fish have always existed as
fish, reptiles as reptiles, mammals as mammals and human beings as
human beings. That is that what the fossil record, Darwin's greatest
hope, in fact reveals.
There is no doubt that this state of affairs constitutes a huge rout
for the theory of evolution, which is unconfirmed by even a single
transitional fossil. That is why Darwinist circles cover up the
existence of living fossilsand never bring them up, despite their
being well aware of the true position. Someone looking at evolutionist
references will form the impression that there are only a few living
fossils. Because only a few living fossils are ever brought up by
Darwinists. These references also attempt to give the impression that
it is miraculous howthese few fossils have remained unchanged and that
they are an "exception" among all the countless imaginary "proofs" of
evolution.
But this is a deception.
The American paleontologist S. M. Stanley describes how the Darwinist
dictatorship that dominates the scientific world ignores and conceals
this fact revealed by the fossil record:
The known fossil record is not, and never has been, in accord with
gradualism. What is remarkable is that, through a variety of
historical circumstances, even the history of opposition has been
obscured… "The majorityof paleontologists felt their evidence simply
contradicted Darwin's stress on minute, slow, and cumulative changes
leading to species transformation." . . . [but] their story has been
suppressed. 2
But no matter how muchthey try to keep it hushed up, one fact can no
longer be concealed: there are millions of living fossils. Darwin's
theory of evolution is currently in a state of total defeat in the
face of the facts revealed by the fossil record. Scientific findings
have demolished Darwinism. Darwinists cannot conceal these fossils
thatprove the fact of Creation. The facts are out in the open and the
collapse of Darwinism has been broadcast by the fossil record, once
Darwinism's greatest foundation.
The Darwinist ploy has failed. The fossils that Darwinism expected
would confirm the theory have actually, by Allah's leave and will, put
an end to it. People have thus seen the truth that Allah creates all
living things from nothing. Once they have seen this, no contrary
claim can have any valueof effect. Almighty Allah has created the
system of the dajjal already in a state of collapse. This can be
irrefutably seen by one and all. Our Almighty Lord reveals in verses
how He has created all things from nothing:
How can you reject Allah, when you were dead and then He gave you
life, then He will make you die and then give you life again, then you
will be returned to Him? It is He Who created everything on the Earth
for you and then directed His attention up to heaven and arranged it
into seven regular heavens. He has knowledge of all things. (Surat
al-Baqara, 28-29)

Fathwa, - Determining the reward of the woman’s prayer inside her home is boundto Sharee‘ah texts

Question
Would a woman attain the twenty-seven fold reward if she offered the
prayer inside her home like the case of men who offer prayers in the
mosque?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
There is no doubt that offering prayer in a congregation is better
than offering it alone. However, the prayer of a woman in her home is
superior to offering it in the mosque. Hence, the less virtuous deed
takes precedence over the most virtuous deed if it isdone in its
optimum timeand place. For example, reciting the Quran is more
virtuous than reciting the mere remembrance of Allaah The Exalted.
However, reciting the regular remembrance after the prayer in its due
time takes precedence over reciting the Quran as it occurred in the
proper place and time. The superiority of a woman's prayer inside her
home does not necessarily mean that it is equal to the prayer of men
in congregation. Hence, thismatter is not based on human opinions but
requires authentic proofsfrom the Quran or the Sunnah. The Prophet ,
mentioned that the prayer of a woman in herhome is better for her but
he did not determinea specific reward.

Fathwa, - Waking up then falling asleep without performing the prayer on time

Question
The Messenger of Allaah , said: "There is no negligence when one is
sleeping." Sometimes, I sleep for a long time even though I wake up
for seconds so that I know the time and then Igo back to sleep for
somemore hours. Therefore, I miss one prayer or more. What is the
ruling?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
It is incumbent upon you to wake up at the prescribed time to offer
prayer in congregation and to adopt the proper means in order to wake
up at the prescribed timeof the prayer so as to reach the prayer. Upon
waking up, leave the bedquickly so that you do not fall back asleep.
Otherwise, you are considered negligent andsinful.

Fathwa, - Ruling of the Imaam and those praying behind him if he offered an additional Rak‘ah

Question
Upon offering the Maghrib prayer, the Imaam stood up for a fourth
Rak'ah and we notified him (by saying Subhaan Allaah) but he went on.
Then, all of us prayed the fourth Rak'ah with him and we prostrated
twice after the Salaam. Is our prayer valid?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
If the Imaam stood up to offer an additional Rak'ah, those praying
behind him have to say 'Subhaan Allaah' loudly so as to notify him.
However, if he resumed the additional one, then they must not follow
him as they know that it is additional. Any deliberate addition to the
prayer nullifies it.
We hope that your prayer is valid because you were unaware of this
ruling, as well you are not obliged to make it up.
However, it would be better for you to make it up so as to stay away
from the difference in opinions pertaining to this ruling. As for the
Imaam, if he did not recognize the notification of those praying
behind him, thenhis prayer is valid.

Origination of Sunnah from the Prophet

"Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It isnot but a
revelation revealed." [Quran 53:3-4]
It is necessary for complete understanding of the meaning of the
Sunnah to appreciate and understand the way Sunnah originates from the
person of the Prophet . In essence, this took place in three forms or
ways:Through sayings, actions, as well as his physical characters and
personal attributes and his approvals of others' acts and sayings:
Sayings: This includes everything he said. 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab said
that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Indeed, all actions are based on
intentions, and surely, every man shall have onlythat which he
intended. Therefore, whosoever immigrated for the sake of Allaah and
His Messenger, then his immigration is for Allaah and His Messenger."
[Muslim]
Actions: All of his actions and deeds. For example, 'Aa'ishah said:
"He used to fast so much that we would say he would never break the
fast, and he used to abstain from fasting for so long that we would
say he will never fast." [Bukhaari]
Approval: This happens when someone does something in front of him, or
in his absence butit gets reported to him then he approves of it
either by being silent andnot commenting on it (Tacit Approval) or by
saying something that would indicate agreement or endorsement of it
(Explicit Approval). An example of the tacit approval would be the
incident reported by Sa'eed Ibn Abi Awfa that he went with the
Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, on seven expeditions, and we
ate locust with him (while he was watching)." [Bukhaari and Abu
Daawood] An example for the explicit approval is reported by Abu
Sa'eed Al-Khudri that two men were traveling without water, so at the
time of the Prayer they made dry ablution (Tayammum). Then sometime
later, they found water and one of them repeated ablution and Prayer
but the other did not. When they told the Prophet he told the one who
did not repeat: 'what youdid is the Sunnah,' and said to the other: '
you will get a double reward.' [Abu Daawood]
Descriptions: This includes everything related to his character like
Ibn 'Abbaas description of him as being, "The most generous of all
people." [Bukhaari], as well as his physical attributes, as in the
Hadeeth, "He had a face that was morebeautiful than all people's, he
was best in character, and was of an average height: not too long or
short." [Bukhaari]
Comments:
It is recommended that one keep in mind, for general purposes, the
definition used by the scholars of Hadeeth, mentioned before, as well
as remember that rulings derived from the Sunnah may vary in their
implication and weight as do the rulings derived from the Quran such
that some of them are obligationsand prohibitions while othersare
just recommendations (Mustahabb) or dislikes (Makrooh). All, however,
must be revered and applied. Anas narratedthat the Prophet said:
"Whoever avoids following my Sunnah does not belong to me."
[Bukhaari] Also, Talhah Ibn Auf stated that once he was praying "
behind Ibn 'Abbaas in a funeral prayer, when he recited Al-Faatihah,
the opening chapter of the Quran, then said: 'I have recited this
chapter for you to know that this is the Sunnah of the Messenger of
Allaah ." ' [Bukhaari] - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Ambition

A wise person should not be satisfied with his or her present
circumstances; rather, he or she should continually aspire to achieve
noble aims and seek self-improvement. If he or she attains a certain
status, he or she must look forward to achieving an even higherone.
Undeniably, this has to be done without demonstrating an inclination
to this worldlylife or contradicting the Sharee'ah of Allaah The
Almighty. If he or she follows such a way, he or she will not settle
for anything less than Paradise.
'Umar ibn 'Abd Al-'Azeez noted about himself: "I am ambitious. At
first, Istrove for the position of emir and when I gained that, I was
determined tohold the title of caliph. When I attained even that rank
now, I am still motivated now to reach Paradise." This is what true
ambition is – the soul longing for what is more perfect and sublime.
The Prophet, , used to guide his Ummah to be ambitious for noble
causes and rise above all that is petty, when he said: "Allaah
TheAlmighty loves the things that are most exalted andhonorable, and
[He] hates all that is mundane."
Difference between ambition and determination
In our context, both ambition and determination share the same
purpose: seeking noble things; however, they differ in terms of
motivation and means.
For instance, a determined person may be motivated by an aversion to
apathy that iscaused by humiliation or to ward off the shame of
imperfection. On the other hand, ambition is driven by the desire of
one's soul to achieve a higher goal.
However, in terms of means, a person motivated by the latter may go to
extremes in pursuit of his or her objective, while a person with
strength of mind usually makes use of noble ways that conform to the
Sharee'ah of AllaahThe Almighty.
Yet, undoubtedly, if one does not exert his or her utmost to achieve a
goal, his or her aspirations are nothing but mere wishes.A truly
ambitious man is he who does his best to achieve what he wants and may
tire himself for the sake of his ambition. That is why many poems
speak of this, such as some of those that state that a person who is
afraid of risks and failure, and is overly cautious cannot attain
glory, just like a rose cannot exist without thorns.
Indeed, the path to all that is noble is unpaved and suffused with
hardship, which is why Mu'aawiyah once advised'Amr ibn Al-'Aas : "A
person who seeks something great must risk something significant."
Similarly, thelatter would say: "You [people] have to pursue decisive
and critical matters."
Ambitions of the noble and eminent
Great people are typicallydriven toward achievement of honorable aims
and far removed from petty gains. Hence, one would usually find them
ambitious in:
1- Seeking knowledge: Having realized that knowledge is the worthiest
acquisition, both morally and spiritually, and the most honorable
objective of allnations, they sacrifice their time and wealth forit.
Then, their wisdom saves them from being led astray. Hence, they
endure hardship, lead an austere life, leave behindtheir homeland and
families and do not bother with rest and entertainment for its sake.
One of them would depart from his country to another place in pursuit
of only one Hadeeth. This is only done with infinite determination and
great care to make the best of every moment.
2- Achieving martyrdom: When those of great willpower learn of the
reward of one who dies a martyr for the sake of Allaah The Almighty,
they race each other to it, not favoring others over themselves in
this respect. Ibn 'Umar narrated that his father said to his brother
during the battle of Uhud: "O my brother, takemy armor", but he
replied: "I want to die as a martyr just as you do." Therefore,
neither of them donned the armor. [At-Tabaraani] It was also reported
that Ja'far ibn Abi Taalib hit his horse [urging it to gallop faster],
while he was fighting, saying: "How nice Paradise is when it comes
near; it is good and [like] a cool drink. The Romans will be subjected
to torment; they have rejected belief and are of ignoble ancestors;
when I meet them [in the battlefield], Iam required to kill them." He
remained in this spirit until he was killed.
3- Attaining Paradise: When, it was once said toAl-'Attaabi :
"So-and-so is an ambitious person" , he replied: "Then he must have no
aim but Paradise." Indeed, any goal that is less than that is meager
in comparison. Yet, this does not mean that a person is forbidden from
having ambitions in his or her worldly life; that isokay, as long as
he or sheadheres to the Sharee'ah of Allaah The Almighty, observes His
limits and has a righteous intentionbehind all deeds. - - ▓███▓

Faith in Qadhaa` and Qadr - Predestination

Definition of "Qadhaa' and Qadar"
When mentioned separately, either one means the other; but when stated
together, they differin their meanings e.g.: when it is generalised,
Qadar encompasses Qadhaa' and vice versa. But when it is stated:
'Qadar and Qadhaa', then Qadar means the predestination of things and
when the predestined matter occurs then it is Qadhaa'.
Predestination and the responsibility of man
Decree and predestination by Allaah (Qadhaa' and Qadar), is a subject
that has been a point of contention for scholars throughout the ages.
The Messenger of Allaah, Muhammad once found his Companions arguing
about Qadar. He forbade them from indulging in such a debate and told
them thatcommunities before them had been destroyed for that reason.
The issue of 'Qadhaa' and Qadar' stems from the Unity of Allaah's
Attribute of Sustaining (Tawheed Ar-Ruboobiyyh/ the Oneness of
Allaah's Lordship). This is one of three kinds of Allaah's Unity,
which are:
1. Unity of Divinity (Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah), which is to direct
all forms of worship to Allaah alone.
2. Unity in the matter of Sustaining the whole universe (Tawheed
Ar-Ruboobiyyah), which means to believe that all creation, sovereignty
and planning belong to Allaah alone.
3. Unity in the matter of Allaah's Names and Attributes. Imaam
Ahmad said that Predestination is the power of Allaah and no one
except Allaah knows it. And that we don't know what Allaah has
destined, either for or against us.
Regarding this issue, there are three groups:
1. The first group says that man has no independence but is coerced
into doing all that he does and he is at the mercy of fate.
There is no doubt that this groupis wrong. By using our powers of
reason and the tenets of our faith, we know that there is a difference
between the things that happen without our will andthose in which we
play an active part.
2. The second group goes to the extreme to attribute complete
power and freedom of choice to the individual, denies Allaah's role
and says that Allaah does not know of an action until after it has
occurred! This view is also mistaken.
3. The third group (the correct one) believes that everything
thathappens falls into one of the following two categories:
A. The things that Allaah does and in which no one else has any power
of intervention.
B. The actions done by all the creatures that have the power of will.
These actions are a consequence of their efforts and their choice, a
power that has been given to them by Allaah. Allaah Says in the Quran
(what means): "Among you are some that desire this world and some that
desire the Hereafter." [ Quran3:152]
Man knows very well the difference between what he doesof his own free
will and what he does because of external force. Certain actions are
done by choice and others by compulsion.
Some certain actions are from the voluntary power of the individual
but are recorded as if they are not, and so he is not held answerable
for them in suchcases as forgetfulness or during sleep. The Prophet
said: "The one who forgets while fasting and eats and drinks, he
should complete his fast because Allaah is the One who feeds him and
gives him drink." [At-Tirmithi]
Thus, actions done in a state of forgetfulness are attributed to
Allaah Himself. The first group mentioned earlier distorts the facts.
We would not be able to praise someone for his good actions or
castigate someone who voluntarily does wrong, because we would have
attributed all their actions to the will of Allaah. Another
dangerousimplication of this argument is that Allaah Almighty behaves
unjustly if He punishes the disobedient and rewards the good, as He
alone is the source ofall these actions. Not only is such reasoning
nonsensical, but contradictory to the Quran as well.
Allaah clearly states that His punishments are not cruel but just,
since He has already warned His creatures and sent them guidance, and
defined the paths of piety and disobedience. Man, thus, has total
freedom to choose either path. Allaah Says (what means): "Messengers
are bearers of good news as well as warning in order that mankind
should have no plea against Allaah after the Messengers" [Quran 4:165]
The Quran and reality also refute those who go to the other extreme of
giving man complete freedom of action, leaving no rolefor Allaah. We
are told that the will of man follows the will of Allaah Who Says
(what means): "…to whomever among you wills to go straight. But you
shall not will except as Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds, wills." (81:
28,29)
Those who hold this view reject Allaah's Omniscience, one of His
essential Attributes, by effectivelyclaiming that in His Kingdom,
there are many things which He does not wish or create. If Allaah
wishes a thing, it is only that He Says unto it (what means): "'Be!'
And it is (there)". Allaah guides those who want to be guided, and
misguides those who do not wish to receive guidance. Allaah Says (what
means): "Then when they turned away (from the Path of Allaah), Allaah
turned their hearts away (from the Right Path)." [Qruan 61:5]
In other words, the wish to be pious emanates from the individual
himself, and Allaah guides him because of this. Allaah has decreed
everything, but this doesn't mean to sit at home and wait, rather, we
should work hard. Thus, there are many routes open to the discretion
of man, and it is up to him to choose the one he wishes to follow.
Man does what he wants, but his will follows that of Allaah. Allaah
decrees guidance for the person who wants guidance. For the onewho
doesn't want to be guided, Allaah decrees misguidance.
Divine Decree and Predestination consists of four components:
1. Knowledge: Man must believe with total certainty that Allaah is All-Knowing.
2. Writing: Allaah has written all His knowledge of the fate of His
creatures in the Preserved Tablet,as He Says in the Quran (what
means): "Know you not that Allaah knows all that is in the heaven and
on earth? Indeed it is (all) in the Book (Preserved Tablet)..." [Quran
22:70]
3. Will: Everything exists with Allaah's Will. Allaah Says (what
means): "…to whomever among you wills to go straight. But you shall
not will except as Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds, wills." [Quran 81:
28,29]
Thus, our faith is not complete unless we believe that Allaah's Will
is total and all-embracing.
4. Creation: Allaah is the Creator of everything, even Death, although
it is the absence of Life.
A difficulty arises: how can we claim that our actions and words are
products of our own free will when they are in fact creations
ofAllaah? The answer is that our actions and utterances are the result
of our ability and desire to do them. Since Allaah alone is theOne Who
created us and gave us the ability and the will to distinguish, choose
and act, our actions are His creations. He created the cause which
generates the result, so He is the creator of the result as well as
the cause.
But, this does in no way belittle our choice and will. For example,
fire burns. The One Who gave thispower to fire is Allaah, as fire on
its own does not have the capability to burn. Allaah Says (what
means): "We (Allaah) said: "O fire! Be you cool, and safety
forIbraaheem (Abraham)!" [Quran 21:69]
Allaah gave man the power to choose and act according to his
decisions. - - ▓███▓ Translator:-> http://translate.google.com/m/

Rulings on Tawbah, - Sinning Intentionally and Intending to Repent.

I was just wondering if someone says he will drink and do zina
(fornicate) and do haram (unlawful stuff) stuff and then he will
repent, will his repentance be accepted?
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
This questioner – may Allah guide him – does not realise that he has
already disobeyed Allah, may He be exalted, by saying this even if he
hasnot committed the sins that he stated clearly he would commit.
(a)
It was narrated from AbuHurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that
the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah,
may He be glorified and exalted, will forgive my ummah (followers) for
whatever crosses their minds so long as they donot act upon it or
speak of it." [al-Bukhaari, Muslim].
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
(The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) has told us
that Allah forgives whatever crosses a person's mind so long as he
does not speak of it. So a distinction is made between thoughts that
cross the mind and words that are spoken. And he told us that he will
not be blamed for a passing thought unless he speaks of it. What is
meant is unless his tongue utters it, according to scholarly
consensus.
End quote from Majmoo'al-Fataawa.
(b)
It was narrated from AbuKabshah al-Anmaari that he heard the Messenger
of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: People of
this world are of four types: a man to whom Allah gives wealth and
knowledge, so he fears his Lord concerning it, upholds ties of kinship
with it and realizes that something is due to Allah for that. This man
will attain the highest status. (The second is) a man to whom Allah
givesknowledge but He does not give him wealth, buthe is sincere in
intentionand says: If I had wealth,I would have done what (the first
man) did. He will be judged accordingto his intention and their reward
will be the same. (The third one is) a man to whom Allah gives wealth
but does not give knowledge, so he squanders his wealth without
knowledge and does not fear Allah concerning it or uphold ties of
kinship with it, and he does not realize that something is due to
Allah for that. His will be the lowest status. (Then there is) a man
to whom Allah gave neither wealth nor knowledge, but he says: If I had
wealth I would do what (the third man) did. He will be judged
accordingto his intention, and their burden of sin will be the same.
[Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah]
This questioner also has to pay attention to the fact that he may not
be able to repent because of being overwhelmed by his whims and
desires, his regarding sinas permissible and his persisting in it. He
may not be able to do that because his time has come and his soul is
taken. Let him listen to the words of Allah, may He be glorified and
exalted (interpretation of the meaning):
"And We shall turn their hearts and their eyes away (from guidance),
as they refused to believe therein for the first time, and We shall
leave them in their trespass to wander blindly" [6:110].
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This is part of greater understanding: that a man fears that his sins
may cause him misfortune at the time ofdeath and keep him from a good
end. Imam Ahmad narrated from Abu'd-Darda that when he was dying, he
would lose consciousness then he would come to and recite: "And We
shall turn their hearts and their eyes away (from guidance), as they
refused to believe therein for the first time, and We shall leave them
in their trespass to wander blindly" [6:110].
Because of that, the early generation feared sins, lest they kept them
from a good end.
End quote from al-Jawaab al-Kaafi by Ibnal-Qayyim.
Secondly:
This questioner has to ask his Lord for forgiveness and repent to Him
for having said this and having resolved to commit sin and persistin
it. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, has enjoined
repentanceupon His slaves. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may be
that your Lord will remit from you your sins, and admit you into
Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)" [66:8].
Allah, may He be exalted, has told us that He accepts repentance
fromHis slaves and that He will pardon them; indeed He will turn their
bad deeds into good deeds. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And He it is Who acceptsrepentance from His slaves, and forgives
sins, and He knows what you do" [42:25]
"Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do
righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good
deeds, and Allah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful" [25:70].
Sincere repentance, according to the scholars, is that which fulfils
the following conditions:
(a) Sincerity in repentance
(b) Giving up the sin
(c) Regretting the sin
(d) Resolving not to go back to the sin
(e) Repenting in time, for Allah does not acceptrepentance when the
death rattle sounds before the soul is taken, or after the sun rises
from its place of setting
(f) Restoring people's rights if the sin had to do with the rights
of other people
We give our brother the glad tidings that if he has not done what he
intended and spoke of, and he refrained from that out of fear of Allah
and respect for His sacred limits, then Allah, may He be exalted, will
record one good deed inhis record, instead of thebad deed that he was
thinking of doing.
It was narrated from AbuHurayrah that the Messenger of Allah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah says: 'If My
slave thinks of doing a bad deed then do not write it down for him
unless he does it, then if he does it write it down as one bad deed.
And if he refrains from it for My sake, write down one good deed for
him. If he wants to do a good deedthen he does not do it, write it
down as one good deed and if he does it, write it down tenfold up to
seven hundred fold." [al-Bukhaari, Muslim].

Rulings on Tawbah, - Reviling Islam and Doubting Due to Whispers.

I reviled Islam on many occasions, Allah forbid, but when I repent he
says to me: you were angry and you did not do that deliberately. Then
I doubt myself: wasI angry or not? Was it deliberate or not? What
should I do?
Praise be to Allah.
Reviling Islam is kufr (disbelief) and apostasy from Islam, according
to scholarly consensus. The one who does that has to repent to Allah
sincerely, by regretting what he has done and resolving not to go back
to it. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. Allah, may He
be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Say: O 'Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves
(by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the mercy of
Allah, verily,Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft‑Forgiving,
Most Merciful" [39:53].
It was narrated from AbuMoosa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the
Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah holds
out His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who have
sinned during the day, and He holds out his hand by day to accept the
repentance ofthose who have sinned at night – until the sun rises from
its place of setting." [Muslim]
You have to repent and do a lot of righteous deeds. With regard to
thinking about whether this was done in a state of anger or not, this
comes under the heading of waswasah (whispers from the Shaytaan), who
wants todivert you from repentance or weaken your fear of Allah and
your efforts to do righteous deeds. If you understand the abhorrent
nature and seriousness of what you did, that impels you to strive to
do good and to instil in your heart humility before Allah; it makes
you pin your hopes on His grace, kindness and pardon. But if your nafs
(self/ego) makes falsehood attractive to you and detracts from the
seriousness of the crime by claiming that it happened in a moment of
anger, then this will weaken your resolve and distract you from
turning to Allah.
It should be noted that anger is not an excuse inall cases; rather the
anger that may excuse a person is anger in whichhe loses his ability
of discernment to the extent that he does not know what he is saying.
If this happened once, it does not happen repeatedly. Many of those
who have the problem of reviling Islamcould never revile their fathers
or someone they hold in high esteem or the father of an opponent in an
argument and the like, no matter how angry they become, but they do
revile the religion because their hearts are devoid of faith and they
are lacking in respect towards Allah, His Messenger and His religion.
We ask Allah to keep us safe and sound. If there was any faith in his
heart it would prevent him from reviling religion.
So ignore this waswaas (whisper). You have committed a grave sin, but
you have a Lord Whois Most Merciful, Most Generous, Who accepts the
repentance of the one who repents, forgives sins, and replaces evil
deeds with good deeds. So prepare to strive hard, fill your heart with
veneration and respect towards Allah, may He be exalted, and His
religion, read a lot of Quran and do a lot of righteous deeds.
We ask Allah to accept your repentance and forgive your sin.

Rulings on Tawbah, - Reviling Allah and Insinuating Whispers.

On one occasion I was riding behind my friend on a motorcycle and he
"popped a wheelie" (lifted the front wheel off the ground), and I
reviled the Lord, Allah forbid. Then I repented from that but waswaas
(satanic whisper) comes to me telling me that because the incident
took me by surprise, I was not thinking and I will not be brought to
account for that. Similarly, this waswaas comes to me about
manyoccasions on which I have reviled Allah, Islam and the Prophet,
Allah forbid. This has made medoubt myself: did I do it deliberately
or not? Especially since these incidents happened to me a number of
years ago and I do not remember the details precisely, so I say: O
Allah, if I did that deliberately and with intent, then I repent from
it.
Praise be to Allah.
Reviling Allah or reviling Islam constitutes kufr (disbelief) and
apostasy from Islam, according to scholarly consensus. The one who
does that has to repent sincerely to Allah, by regretting whathas
happened and resolving not to go back to it again. If he repents,Allah
will accept his repentance. Allah, may He be exalted, says
(interpretation of the meaning):
"Say: O 'Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves
(by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the mercy of
Allah, verily,Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft‑Forgiving,
Most Merciful"
[39:53].
It was narrated from AbuMoosa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the
Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah holds
out His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who have
sinned during the day, and He holds out his hand by day to accept the
repentance ofthose who have sinned at night – until the sun rises from
its place of setting." [ Muslim].
So you have to repent, turn to Allah and do a lotof righteous deeds.
As for thinking about whether this reviling was done deliberately
ornot, this is whispers from the Shaytan who wants to distract you
from repenting or weaken your fear of Allah and your efforts to do
righteous deeds. If you understand the abhorrent nature of what you
did, and its grave seriousness, that will make you strive to do good
and will generate in your heart feelings of submission and humility
before Allah; it will make you pin your hopes on His grace, kindness
and forgiveness. But if your nafs (self/ego) makes falsehood appealing
to you, and makes the offence seem less seriousby claiming that it was
done in a state of anger, then this will weaken your resolve and
lessen your desire to turn to Allah.
You should understand that the kind of anger that causes a person to
lose his mind, that a person may be excused for, is that which causes
him to lose the ability to distinguish matters to such an extent that
he does not know what he is saying. If this happens once, it does not
happenrepeatedly. Many of those who have the problem of reviling
Islam, or reviling Allah orreviling His Messenger (blessings and peace
of Allah be upon him) would not be able to revile their fathers or a
person whom they hold in high esteem or the father of his opponent and
the like, no matter how intense his anger is,but he can revile Islam
because of the lack of faith in his heart and his lack of respect for
Allah and for His messenger and His religion. We ask Allah to keep us
safe andsound. If there were any faith in the heart of sucha person,
it would prevent him from speaking in this abhorrent manner. Hence we
say: Ignore this waswaas, for you have committed the greatest evil,
but you have a Lord Who is Most Merciful and Most Kind; He accepts the
repentance of the penitent, forgives the sinner, and turns bad deeds
into good. So make your resolve firm, fill your heart with respect for
Allah, may He be exalted, and respect for His religion, and reada
great deal of Quran and do a lot of righteousdeeds.
We ask Allah to accept your repentance and forgive you your sins.

Islamic Stories, - The way he moved from here to there

Sahl Ibne Adbullah Tusturi Rahmatullah alaihe used to spend liberally
in the path of Allah Ta'ala. His mother and brothers complained to
Abdullah Ibne Mubarak Rahmatullah alihe that Sahl wanted to spend
everything and they feared he would becomea pauper. Abdullah Ibne
Mubarak Rahmatullah alihe enquired from SahlRahmatullah alihe about
the matter. The lattar asked Abdullah Ibne Mubarak, "If a person
wanted to migrate from Madinah to the city of Rustaqq in Persia,
wherehe had already purchased land, would he leave anything behind in
Madinah?" Thereply was that nothing would be left behind. Sahl
Rahmatullah alaihe then said that was his real purpose. While the
people thought he was going to migrate to another place, he had
actually meant transfer to the next world. In these days, people have
personal experience of itthat when people who wish to move permanently
from one country to another (eg. England to Canada) by their own
choice, they try to transfer all their belongings and property,
buildings, etc, by exchanging with those at the new locations, before
actual migration. This is exactlythe state of affairs of every single
person leaving this world. As long as he is living, he has the power
to transfer his property andbelongings, etc., to the next world
(Akhira).

generous in giving charity. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Islamic Stories, - The ruler and the ruled

There have been many rightly-guided khalifs in the past whose
qualities were far more refined and noble than those of today's kings,
prime ministers and presidents. They lived very simply and spent very
little on their own personal comfort. One of these great khalifs was
called Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz. He followed the teachings of Islam with
sincerity and served the people whom he ruled with humility.
One hot summer's night, Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz was lying awake in bed,
too hot to sleep, but cooled a little at least by the fanwith which a
maidservant was fanning him. Thanks to her efforts he at last fell
asleep. After a while, however, she began to grow very tired and then
finally she too fell asleep, the fan slipping from her fingers and
falling to the floor.
The khalif awoke from his slumber, and seeing that his maidservant
hadfallen asleep, he picked up the fan and began to fan her gently.
After a while she woke up and was startled and dismayed to find the
khalif fanning her. She was meant to be fanninghim - what would happen
to her now?
"Do not worry." Said Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz with a smile, "you are just
as much a human being as I am. When I needed to sleep, you kept me
cool, and when you needed to sleep I kept you cool. What's wrong with
that?" - - ▓███▓ Translator:-> http://translate.google.com/m/
