A Masjid goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and
complained that it made no sense to go to masjid every Friday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard
something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember
a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the Imaams
are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."
This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column,
muchto the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone
wrote this clincher:
"I've been married for 37 years now. In that time mywife has cooked
some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire
menu for a single one of those meals, But I do know this… They all
nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my
wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today.
Likewise, if I had not gone to masjid for nourishment, I would be
spiritually dead today!'
SubhanAllahu Ta'ala who says in His Glorious Book:
•►"O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when
he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah
intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be
gathered." [Surah AlAnfal, 8:26]

-
Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Alcohol is't safe for Indians?
An Exclusive post on HealthHazard of 'Alcohol' by Lumhs Online
Clinical Discussion Forum
Read it and check them out..
Alcoholism is the term i should use as a health hazard that would
would be more appropriate. whatever people who are addicted to alcohol
should know what Health risk Alcoholism cause to their Body.
Alcohol - The risks (courtesy : BBC.co.uk)
Low risk :
Drinking small amounts of alcohol can be a pleasant social activity
for many people. Indeed drinking small quantities of alcohol can
reduce the risk of heartdisease for older people if it does not
conflict with any medication being taken.
The following information is based on units of alcohol. One unit of
alcohol contains about 10g of alcohol and is roughly equivalent to:
1 bottle (250ml) of ordinary strength beer (4 - 5 % alcohol)
1 glass (100ml) of wine
1 small glass of vodka (25mg of vodka)
But beware: Drinks often contain two or more units in a single glass!
If you drink up to two unitsa day of alcohol free from impurities
there is little chance of any risk to your health.
If you regularly drink more than two units a day there is an
increasing risk to yourhealth.
If you drink more than fourunits in any one day there is an increased
risk of injury and accidents as wellas an increasing risk to your
health.
High risk:
As the amount we drink and the number of times we drink increases,
then so do the risks.
The risks to you:
Raised blood pressure which increases the risk of Stroke; stomach
disorders; depression and emotional disorders; cancers, particularly
of the mouth, throat and gullet; hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver;
malnutrition; accidents, at home, at work and on the roads; suicide.
The risks to your family:
Violence, accidents (perhaps influenced by you); less to spend on
food;poor role model for children; increased risk of divorce. If you
are pregnant you can harm your baby by drinking alcohol....

Mowlid
Observances
Mawlid is celebrated in most Muslim countries, andin other countries
where Muslims have a
presence, such as India, Britain, Russia[16] and Canada.[17][18]
[19][20][21][22 ][23][24][25] Saudi Arabia is the only Muslim country
where Mawlid is not an official public holiday.[26] Participation in
the ritual celebration of popular Islamic holidays is seen as an
expression of the Islamic revival.[27]
Where Mawlid is celebratedin a carnival manner, large street
processions are held and homes or mosques aredecorated. Charity and
foodis distributed, and stories about the life of Muhammad are
narrated with recitation of poetry bychildren.[28][2 9][30] Scholars
and poets celebrate by reciting Qaṣīdaal-Burda Sharif, the famouspoem
by 13th century Arabic Sufi Busiri.
During Pakistan's Mawlid celebration, the national flag is hoisted on
all public buildings, and a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and a 21-gun
salute at the provincial headquarters arefired at dawn. The cinemas
shows religious rather thansecular films on 11th and 12th

Rabi' al-awwal for Mawlid celebrations , this is the worlds biggest
gathering for Mawlid celebrations.[3 1]
Among non-Muslim countries, India is noted forits Mawlid
festivities.[32 ][33][34] The relics of Muhammad are displayed after
the morning prayers in the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir at the
Hazratbal Shrine, on the outskirts of Srinagar. Shab-khawani
night-long prayers held at the Hazratbal Shrine are attended by
thousands.[35]
Other non-Muslim countries noted for its Mawlid festivities are Kenya
and Tanzania where it is known as "Maulidi". In Kenya, the most famous
place is the coastal island of Lamu[36][37][38 ] and Malindi. In
Tanzania the largest celebrations are on the island of Zanzibar.[39][4

In many parts of Indonesia, the celebration of the Mawlid al-nabi
"seems to surpass in importance, liveliness, and splendour" the two
official Islamic holidays of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.[41] The
Indonesian Javanese week-long Sekaten ceremony commemmorates Mawlid in
the Sultanate of Yogyakarta.

Islam says?
On the authority of Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari (Radhiallahu anhu) from the
Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), is that among the sayings he
relates from his Rubb is that He said:◄
►"O My slaves, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it
forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.
►O My slaves, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so
seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you.
►O My slaves, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so
seek food of Me and I shall feed you.
►O My slaves, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so
seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you.
►O My slaves, you commit sin by night and by day, and I forgive all
sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you.
►O My slaves, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you
will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me.
►O my slaves, were the firstof you and the last of you, the human of
you and the jinn of you to become as pious as the most pious heart of
any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything.
►O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of
you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of
any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything.
►O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of
you and the jinn of you to rise up in oneplace and make a request of
Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not
decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put
into it.
►O My slaves, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then
recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah, andlet him
who finds other than that blame no one but himself."

"O Allah, help me to say words of truth in the face of the mighty….
And to refrain from speaking ill in order to gainthe applause of the weak…
And do not let me accuse my adversaries of treachery because their
opinions oppose mine…
O Allah, should you give me wealth, do not take away my happiness…
And should you give me might, do not take away my wisdom….
And should you give me success do not take away my humility…
And should you give me modesty do not take away my sense of dignity…
O Allah, teach me to love others as I love myself…
And teach me to judge myself as I judge others…
And teach me that forgiveness is one of the greatest step towards strength…
O Allah, do not curse me with arrogance should I be successful…
And neither with despair and hopelessness should I fail…
O Allah, remind me always that failure is the trial that precedes success….
Should you take away my wealth, do let me keep my hopefulness…
And should I fail, do let me keep the power of determination…
And should you take away the blessing of good healthdo let me keep the
blessingof faith…
O Allah, should I have harmed others give me thecourage to apologise…
And should others harm me, do bless me with the courage to forgive…
And should I forget You Ya Allah? I beg that You should not exclude me
from Your compassion and clemency. For You are the Greatest, the

A very famous Arab singer has pronounced his retirement from singing
and wrote on Twitter: "Thisis my advice for the youth: Never dream to
be like singers (celebrities) because their hearts are filled with
hurt and worries, they are faking happiness in front of the world but
they are sad inside.. and that's because they have turned away from

ALLAHU AKBAR! There have been many professional singers who have
accepted Islam and given up music. One of them wrote in his biography
that after accepting Islam, his love for music has been replaced by
the love for thewords of Allah!
Why do we need music when we have a treasure whose wonders are never
ending for common Muslims like us and scholars alike…nobody is ever
satisfied of it…the more we listen and read a particular chapter of
the Quran the more we like it and stronger we get in our faith.
Allah Ta'ala says,
"Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is
reiteration. The skins shivertherefrom, of those who fear their Lord;
then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance (i.e.,
mention) of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides
whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray; for him thereis no
guide." ♥ (Al Qur'an, 39:23)

A hint
Most of us are concerned with our bellies and the souls of others;
when we should be concerned with our own souls, and the bellies of
others. The first thing the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said when he
arrived in Madinah was, "Spread peace, and feed the people."
Instead of judging others, care for them. Feed them, help them, and
spread peace. That is your representation as a Muslim, your da'wah, and
your salvation of the world. In the process, you save your own soul/
