Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
Once the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) remained behind us in a
journey. He joined us whilewe were performing ablution for the prayer
which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (and not
washing them properly) so the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice: "Save your heels
from the fire."
Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 57

Nabi'(sallAllahu alyhi wasallam) said,that
“I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee ahome in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.”

A man said to al-Hasan al- Basri (RaHimullah): " The people sit around you so that they may find fault with you!". So al-Basri(RaHimu llah) replied: " Indeed, I encouraged my soul to aspire for Paradise, so it aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for salvation from Hellfire and so it aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for salvation from the people, but I didn't find a way to that. Indeed, the people were not pleased with their Creator although He provides for them, so how can they be pleased with another creation like themselves?"

"O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning".
The Qur'an states that these words were recited when Yunus (A.S.) called upon Allah from the belly of the fish. Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated in a hadith that when any Muslim makes this dua via these words to Allah, then Allah surely accepts his duas.

It is stated in a hadith that
لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
is the medicine for 99 ailments, the least of whichis depression.
(Baihaqi in Dawatul Kubra)
It means that these words are so beneficial and usefulthat big/great grievances, depression and sorrow are easily removed in its stride.
Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated that if a person constantly makes "Astaghfar", then Allah removes every difficulty, frees him from every sorrow and makes a means for him to receive sustencance from places that he never thought of/

Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting by Whom all subsist, there is no god but He.
Neither slumber seizes Him, nor sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth.
Who is there who might intercede with Him save with His leave?
He knows what lies before them and what is hidden from them, whereas they cannot attain to anything of His knowledge save what He wills them to attain.
His Dominion overspreads the heavens and the earth, and their upholding wearies Him not.
He is All-High, All-Glorious/
