*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

(Miskhaat)
Other supplications to be recited in the morning & evenings
Uthman (R.A.) reported that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) has said that
(nothing will harm) the servant who recites thesewords three times
every morning and evening.
We have made (started) the morning (and night) in whose Name nothing
in the skies and the earthcan harm and He is the All-hearing, the
All-knowing.
(Tirmidhi)
It is narrated by Abu Dawood that if one recites this dua in the
morning, no unforeseen calamity will come to him.
(Miskhat)
Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said that if a person recites three ayatsof
Surah Rum (Para 21) and if he misses his normal recitation of the day,
he will still be rewarded for it. This applies to the night as well.
"So remember Allah in the evening and the morning. To him is the
praise in the Heavens andthe Earth and in the last hours and when it
is noon. He brings forth theliving from the dead and the dead from the
living and He revives the earth after it is dead. And even so you
shall be brought forth".
Abu Huraira (R.A) narrated that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said that

Ayatul-Qursi in the morning, then he will be protected from calamaties
and ploys till the evening and whosoever recites these in the
evenings, will be protected from calamitiesand ploys till the morning.

All-Mighty, the All-Knowing, The Forgiverof sins and the Acceptor of
repentance, Severe in retribution, Bountiful there is no ilah but He,
Unto Him is our return".

Allah! There is no ilah (deity worthy of worship) but He The Living,
The Eternal One. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him
belonges whatever isin the Heavens and on the earth. Who is he that
can intercede with Him but by His permission? Heknows what is before
and what is behind them. They encompass nothing of His knowledge which
He will. His Throne extends over the Heavensand the Earth, and the
preservation of both does not weary Him. He isthe Exalted The Immense
One.

Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated that a person who has recited (the
underlying) in the morning, he has pleased (praised, glorified) Allah

has thanked Allah for His favours of the night.
(Abu Dawood, Nisai)
Translation: "O Allah, whatever favours You have bestowed upon me and
all other creations is only from you. You are One, You have no
partners. Praise and Shukr (thanks) be to You".

Muslim servant recites (the underlying) three times every morning,
then it becomes the responsibility of Allah to satisfy him on the Day
of Qiyamah.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ السَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِمِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
in the morning the last three ayats of Suratul Hashr then Allah
delegates 70,000 angles to send mercy onto him till the evening and if
he dies that day, he will die as a martyr and if he recites these in
the evening then Allah delegates 70,000 angels to send mercy onto him
till the morning and if he dies that night, he dies asmartyr.
(Tirmidhi)

وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ *
"He is Allah, there is no ilah but He, He is the knower of the unseen
and the witness He is the All-Merciful, the All compassionate. He is

Safety. The Taker-in shelter the All-Mighty, the omnipotent, the
All-Sublime. Allah is Pure and Pure of what they associate (with Him).
He is Allah, the Creator, the One who is Perfect. To Him belong names
Most Excellent. All that is in the heavens and the earth, glorify Him
and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise".

said that the person who recites Suratul Waqia (para 27) every night,
will never be poverty stricken (hungry) (Baihagi in Shabatul Iman)
Uthman (R.A.) states that a person who recites from
إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ

you, I lean on you, desire yourboons and fear you as there is no other
salvation besides you. I believe in the kitab (Book) you have
revealedand in the Rasul(Prophet)you have sent.
Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) showed (taught aSahabi) this dua and
said:"If after reading it you die in the night, then it isas if you
have died on 'Natural Deen' and if you awake in the morning alive then
you will have good fortune".
(Mishkat)
Anas (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said that if a
person retires to bed on the side and recites Surah Fathiha and Surah
Ikhlaas (Qul huwa- AllahoAhad) he is immune from everything besides
death.
(Hisnul Hasan from Albazr)
Sahabi (R.A.) requested Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) that Prophet
Mohammad (S.A.W.) teach him something to recite at the time of
retiring to bed. Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said:"Recite Qul Ya Ayuhal

Ask Allah, He WILL HelpYou

If you ask Allah for guidance sincerely, believing in Him and trusting in Him, he WILL guide you. If you approach Him with humility and faith and ask Him for help, He WILL help you. "And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer you." (Quran 40:60). I personally have experienced this in my life again and again. Allah is real and miracles do happen.
I remember one time when I was deeply confused about something that mattered very much to me. I prayed to Allah late at night, and began crying. After my prayer, I laid down right there on the musalla (prayer rug), andfell asleep, and BAM, herecomes one of the most powerful dreams I have ever had, with a very clear answer to my problem. Then the next night I'm outside and feeling some doubts again, and all of a sudden I see a tremendous meteor go flaming across the sky right in front of me. I wasamazed and I laughed out loud because Allah could not have made it any clearer.
I'm not promising you a dream and a meteor (smile). But Allah's promise is true. He WILL answer you, maybe in ways that you see clearly,or in ways that you don't.The answer might be to protect you from harm, or to give you something better than what you requested. Or the answer might only be a feeling of faith and tranquility inyour heart that allows you to move forward confidently. He WILL help you.

Story - , Moons Peak [FINISHED]- Alpha Mine (chapter 26)

A/N: Sorry, it's a little choppy. But forgive me? Iwrote this in the
wee hours of 4am. :):) So if it doesn't make sense, please tell me.
----
MY HEART THRUMMED violently through my body, as I raced toward the
sound with Derryn right behind me.
I ignored every screaming part of my brain that thought of the
possibility of Satchel's death, and I held on to the glimmering hope
that maybe he was still alive. But every thought that summoned in my
mind, I couldn't help but feel a little numb inside every time I heard
his guttural howl.
Of course, his howls made certain that he wasstill breathing, but it
was the way he sounded—as if the unearthing shudder that escaped from
his mouth was painful—and may well have been the last breathhe was
going to take.
I sucked in my breath, as a gray wolf jumped out, obscuring my path
and I cowered back in surprise.
No! I silently screamed, backing away from the gray speckles that
glowed in front of me. I shook my head, when I couldn't hear Satchel's
howls no longer, and my heart constricted violently.
Snow White, you're just in time, Trench puffed out of his muzzle, as
he smirked in triumph. Half of the scruff was covered in candy red
liquid, and he was limping…but that wasn't what surprised me. It was
the fact that he was still alive.
I slowed to an abrupt halt when I reached the clearing, my eyes
casting over the shrubbery as I sought out any other threats besides
the one in front of me. When the dreaded words came flitting through
his mind to me.
He's dead, Snow White. Gray wolf stalked toward me, and I mirrored his
moves stepping farther away, shaking my head in denial.
No! My mind exclaimed.
He nodded, eyes wide with victory. It's true, ask your Grandmother,
she's the one who killed him.
I didn't want to listen to his impotent threats. But the only threat
was whenI saw the black lump lying forlornly by a nearby tree, when my
eyes found Black Wolf. The threat of finding himdead.
He wasn't moving, and I couldn't stomach the thought that he was gone.
Grams dragged his limp body toward the other kills she'd conveniently
piled together. Apparently they'd found another pack, and killed them.
The scent was foreign, so I didn't recognize any of them, but Satchel.
Satchel …my eyes stung from the sight of him.
I swallowed down a whine of my own, my whole body stricken fromthe realization.
He looked smaller in his disheveled and limp statelike that. My pain
and sorrow roiled inside me, and brought the most animalistic sound
out of my throat, echoing through the forest.
The asphalt shuddered beneath me, and my claws grew along with my
canines as I pegged my eyes on Gray wolf with blood lust. Snarling,
until I saw red seeping from my glowering eyes.
Stand down, Snow White. He ordered.
I stalked forward, inviting the challenge. I should've killed you when
I had the chance. I bit out.
Trench stood his ground, and I should have been scared out of my wits,
but the induced rage I'd succumbed to, had me pouncing toward him.
He dodged the attack, and nipped my tail. Neverbreaking the skin.
I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to, he sent back.
I growled, snapping my hungry jaws, clinging onto his leg. He howled,
ripping his leg out of my greedy bites.
Now you're pissing me off! He growled.
I panted, spitting his blood out of my mouth, and smiled. I didn't
give him the satisfaction of stalling, as I charged at him. He dodged
to the left, but I saw it coming as I snapped my jaw overhis ear and
ripped it out of its socket.
The howl coming from him was just like I remembered it, when I'd
bitten his neck all those weeks ago.
Hearing it again, was likemusic to my ears. I reveled in his pain, and
suffering for Satchel's sake. Avenging him was anatural instinct of
mine. But I was going to play dirty this time, no playingaround.
Although, I couldn't just submit to him so easily. My instincts didn't
recognize Trench as my Alpha, and bowing downto him willingly would
beimpossible.
We couldn't control them, but I sure knew how to trick them. I cast my
eyes up into gray ones, and mentally my mind conjured up green ones.
His gray fur in my head changed to black as I tried picturing him as
Satchel. My lover, my alpha, my mate: Black Wolf. The perfect image of
Satchel clouded my mind, as I rolled on to myback in submission.
An act that I'd given my trust and securities, baring my neck in the
process, as a welcome treat.
Trench stunned in his place, as I did so—that was the kind of reaction
Iwas looking for. He neared my body and I kept Satchel's image, as
ifit stained my mind.
That's more like it, Alpha Female. Trench muttered in his head, and
the sound of his voice snapped the band of my perfect image, as he
lowered his muzzle to myface.
Big gray eyes stared down at me. Before he could wrap his mouth around
my neck to complete the mating he'ddone, I latched on to his neck in
stead and locked my jaw around the thick skin, and growled.
His guttural howls lost onhis lips, as I bit into him as hard as I
could, letting the taste of victory seep in the cavern of my mouth.
The light finally dying out of his eyes, as his heart stopped beating.
Letting him go, I stared down at the lifeless body.I don't know how
long I was standing there, but Derryn's whimpers snapped me out of my
stupor.
Black Wolf, wake up! she pleaded.
My eyes fell sad, as I watched Derryn nudge her brother in the side,
but there was no response. Licking my lips,I cleared the rest of
Trench's blood off me, and stalked over to where Derryn's whines only
got louder. The pain hit down harder, and I squeezed my eyes shut
toblock it out. My heart breaking along with hers, clenching and
twisting to the point of oblivion.
Satchel…?
Surveying his wounds, not one of them looked like a bullet wound. All
bites from a wolf, and I couldn't stand the look ofhis front foreleg.
It was almost hanging from its limb.
Trench's wounds looked worst for wear. He'd been ripped beyond
recognition now that I got a better look at him. Iwas surprised Trench
hadmanaged to stand on his own. It's probably why it was easier for
him to be killed.
I blinked away from him, and focused on Satchel, ignoring the clear
stick needle I stood on, and saton my haunches. Licking his face, to
spark a nerve.Anything to get a response.
I padded a paw on his face, but it only bounced back…lifeless.
I whined, and I whined again, but still he couldn't hear me.
You broke your promise, Satchel. You said you'll come back.
I nudged my muzzle under his face. You promised.
I joined in with Derryn's howls as we both mourned beside him. In
between howls, I licked at his wounds, but the top ligament looked
like too much. It needed emergency care.
"Willow, that's you isn't it?" I turned to the voice of my Grams.
I snarled back at her. "My God! You look just like him. Like your
granddad." Her wrinkled hands cupped over her mouth, as her gray-blue
eyes stared in distress.
"The eyes, the coat. You even have the same brown tip on the end of
your tail. Exactly like his."Her eyes started to water,as she dropped
the shotgun.
"Oh William. What have I done?" She slowly approached me. And I bared
my teeth at her, warning her away. Protecting my mate, and his sister.
Her hands shot out in a calm down gesture, and approached me in slow
subtle strides.
"I'm so sorry, William. I never meant to hurt you. I just…didn't
understand at the time. I do now. Please, forgive me."
My ears perked up, and so did Derryn's. A whirr of sirens sounded in
the distance, and a team full of uniformed people trotted through the
woods.
Automatically I thought that Grams' poaching team had caught up
withher, but I was wrong.
Satchel, we have to go. Come on, get up.
I whined, licking his muzzle.
Get up, I told him as a tear escaped from my eyes and found its way
tohis muzzle.
I prodded him again withmy paw, nipping him over the nose, the ears
anywhere that would geta response from him. Satchel? Get up, for me.
My teeth caught the frontscruff of his neck and I letmy scent mark
him. Of course, it only worked when a male did it, but I was
determined to mark him as mine. Like I was his.
The sounds of footsteps grew closer and my panictold me to run, but
not without taking Satchel.
I pulled on his neck to drag him further into thebrush, but he was too
heavy. He was four times the weight of me in wolf form. My eyes
swiveled, and pushed Derryn to go hide but she just stared in shock.
Come help me. It was a feat, because we failed tomove him. He was a
lot heavier than I thought. By then, the sounds of footsteps were
almost near, and if we didn't run, we'd be caught too. I licked
Satchel on the mouth, and dropped my eyes to his lifeless body.
I love you, I licked his face savoring his musky scent, and leaped off
toward the trees. Derryn and I hid behind some overgrown wild rose
bush, just as the first sight of a human foot appeared.
"Ma'am, is this your shotgun?" The man in a black jumpsuit addressedmy
Grams, skimming his flashlight up and down her body.
"Yes," said Grams. Her shocked face never allowing a single glance at
the ranger, but she was staring through the trees. Looking for me, I
presumed.
The guy surveyed his surroundings, as the lightof his torch flickered
overGray Wolf and then over Black Wolf. He noticed the bullet wound
instantly, and then narrowed his eyes on Grams.
"And I suppose that killing is yours?"
She nodded at once. "It is, but—"
The ranger unclipped a set of silver cuffs from hisbelt. His thick
white mustache bounced as he addressed my Grams formally.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but we have no choice but to arrest you for illegal
poaching in this private area. Wolves are protected under law herein
the state of Colorado, there's signs posted everywhere."
"But you don't understand, they're not wolves. They're
people—monsters—that turn into these predators. They kill innocent
children; they take away your love ones."
"Please ma'am, it would help if you calmed down, you'll make your case
worse from resisting."
The officer read her rights, as he clamped the handcuffs over her wrists.
Apparently, Grams had made her wealth from killing wolves, poaching,
and selling their coats to potential marketers in New York.
They'd been trying to track her for years, and I couldn't help but
feel bilein my throat, knowing that most of my clothes—my material
possessions came from blood money.
One of the other rangers grabbed for the shotgun, stuffing it in an
oversizedclear plastic wrap, while another knelt down beside Trench
and Satchel.
After he finished with Trench, they wrapped him with a similar plastic
and hauled him in the back of a carriage.
Kneeling beside Satchel, he put a finger in front ofhis muzzle to test
his breathing. Picking up a clear stick on the side of him. He slipped
the unidentified object into aplastic bag, and called one of the
rangers over to him.
"We've got a live one over here."
My body froze, as the orange light of his torch illuminated Black Wolf.
A live one? But…that's impossible. Another set offootsteps sounded, as
one of them knelt beside him.
"You're right. Make sure Dr. Levvy gets a look at this ones leg, too.
It's almost off the bone...and be sure to inform him to not use any
anesthetic. That dart did enough to put him out for days."
All I could do was watch them leave down the dirtroad, with unblinking
eyes as the words We've got a live one ring in my head.

The effects of arrogance on the soul

Arrogance leads people to sickness of mind and incorrect behavior.
People who live in a state of pride and deception inhabit a
darkinternal world.
A pitch black world full of a sincere dread of losing, making a
mistake, being disgracedor humiliated, stress, doubt, hatred, anger
and passion…This state of mind wears people down and ages them; it has
a severe impact on their psychological and physical well-being. These
people, who are spiritually weaker than others, are cold. It is
barely possible to expecta pleasant gesture, a sign of love or
appreciation, or an encouraging word from them. It is hard to laugh or
enjoy oneself in their presence. Sudden outbursts are common wherever
such people are present. Arrogant people's behavior is always intended
to make them appear morevaluable and superior in the eyes of other
people.
For this reason, they have an excessive fear ofmaking mistakes. They
seek to ingratiate themselves with others for which reason they keep
every moment under control and are careful to behave in a determined
manner at all times.
Whenever they attend a meeting they try to be the most impressive
speakers, the best dressed, to come up with the most
intelligentsolutions, and to draw the most attention to themselves.
They are therefore constantly "on tenterhooks." Their behavior is
never sincereand genuine. They always dread the prospect of behaving
incorrectly. They think they will never make a mistake. When told that
they have made an error, they immediately try to absolve themselvesof
any blame. The situation of such people is described in these terms in
these verses:
Do you not see those who praise themselves for purity? No, Allah
purifies whoever He wills. They will not be wronged by so much as the
smallest speck. (Suratan-Nisa': 49)
Do not be like those wholeft their homes in arrogance, showing off to
people and barring them from the way of Allah–Allah encompasses what
they do. (Surat al-Anfal:47)
Being subject to criticismis something an arrogant person dislikes
immensely. When criticized, their facial muscles tense up, and their
expression dulls. They are dismayed by concern about damage to their
prestige. They assume that, if they are criticized, they will be
ridiculed or humiliated by others. Their gesturesare no longer
natural, and sudden rises and falls can be heard in their tone of
voice. They therefore live in a constant state of discomfort.
Ultimately, they never find peace and contentment. Arrogant people
engage in exaggerated and attention-seeking behavior in the way
theywalk, talk and look. In the Qur'an Allah has stated that arrogance
is a great failing:
Do not strut arrogantly about the Earth. You will certainly never
split the earth apart nor will you ever rival the mountains in height.
(Surat al-Isra': 37)
As for those who believe and do right actions, He will pay them their
wages in full and will give them increase from His favour. As for
those who show disdain and grow arrogant, He will punish them with a
painful punishment. They will not find any protector or helper for
themselves besides Allah.(Surat al-Nisa:173)
As for those who deny Our Signs and are arrogant regarding them, the
Gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, and they will not enter
the Garden until a camel goes through a needle's eye. That is how We
repay the evildoers. (7:40)
Arrogant people imagine that every characteristic they possess belongs
to themselves. For example, they imagine that their intelligence stems
from themselves. Instead of realizing that it is a blessing bestowed
on them by Allah and givingthanks for it, they regardit as something
to be proud of.
By overestimating this attribute in their own eyes they belittle and
disparage those around them. As a result of this behavior, their
associates find them unattractive and repellent. That means that
arrogant people never have true, honest friends who feel a genuine
affection for them. They also find it difficult to demonstrate
affection for others.
They always want to be the object of love and affection, because in
their own eyes they are superior to everybody else. This state of mind
leads to another behavior defect: envy. They envy the beauty,
intelligence, reason, moral values or worldly goods of others.
They regard everything those people possess with a jealous eye. If
someone with superior features to their own is present, they
immediately want to leave. Their envy means they are invariably unable
to get along withothers.
Allah has given a troublesome mood to these people who are grabbed by
the sickness of pride. In the same way that arrogant people gain
nothing but trouble, sorrow and unhappiness in the life of this world,
they also forego the Hereafter and, most important of all, the love of
Allah. Allah has revealed in oneverse that He does not love the
arrogant:
Do not avert your face from people out of haughtiness and do not strut
about arrogantly on the Earth. Allah does not love anyone who is vain
or boastful. (Surah Luqman: 18)

Leaving groups wherepeople speak against Allah

No matter where they may be, believers never make concessions about
their faith, since every believer is a representative of Allah and His
religion.
For a believer who is conscious of this fact and the responsibility it
entails, it cannot be fitting for him to remain in an environment
where people talk against Allah and His religion.
In the Qur'an Allah forbids such an attitude:
It has been sent down toyou in the Book that when you hear Allah's
Signs being rejected andmocked at by people, you must not sit with
them till they start talking of other things. Ifyou do, you are just
the same as them. Allah will gather all the hypocrites and unbelievers
into Hell. (Surat an-Nisa; 140)
The main attribute of the members of ignorantsocieties is their
failure to appreciate Allah's majesty and their heedlessness of
Allah's superior power.
With the arrogance they derive from their unthinking state,
unbelievers speak against Allah and His religion. It may be in theform
of an explicit assault or merely implications or ignorant comments
about religion in general.
In any case, it is obligatory for a believer to leave that place if he
is unable to intervene. Remaining oblivious to itand being a member of
such a group is unlawful for a believer. Allah reveals this fact in
another verse in the Qur'an:
When you see people engrossed in mockery ofOur Signs, turn from them
until they start to talk of other things. And if Satan should ever
cause you to forget, once you remember, do not stay sitting with the
wrongdoers. (Surat al-An'am; 68)

Does the intention of offering ‘aqeeqah count for the udhiyah as well, and vice versa?.,Sacrifices - , Dought clear - ,

Is it acceptable to have the intention of offeringthe 'aqeeqah and
udhiyah together on Eid al-Adha? Is the 'aqeeqah valid or not? Please
tell me which of these actions is closer to the Sunnah?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The fuqaha' differed concerning this issue and there are two views:
The first view is that the udhiyah may also count as 'aqeeqah. This is
the view of al-Hasan al-Basri,Muhammad ibn Sireen and Qataadah, and it
is the view of the Hanafis, and one of two views narrated from Imam
Ahmad.
They regarded this issue as being like when Jumu'ah and Eid fall on
the same day, and offering one of the two prayers counts for the other
one too, because they have in common the number of rak'ahs, the
khutbah and the factthat Qur'aan is recited out loud in the prayer, so
the actions are the same. The same applies here, the act of
slaughtering the animal is the same.
They also said: It is like when the Muslim prays two rak'ahs intending
them to be both greeting the mosque and the regular Sunnah.
The second view is that the udhiyah does not count as the 'aqeeqah
too. This is the view of the Maalikis and Shaafa'is, and it is the
other view narrated from Imam Ahmad.
These scholars said that the udhiyah and 'aqeeqah are two different
sacrifices offered for different reasons, so one of them cannot count
as the other one too, just as if the sacrifice offered by the pilgrim
doing tamattu' and the sacrifice offered as a fidyah are combined, the
one cannot count as the other too.
And they also said that the point of offering udhiyah and 'aqeeqah
isto shed the blood of the animal in both cases, because they are two
rituals with the aim of shedding the blood of the animal, therefore
one cannot count as the other too.
Ibn Hajar al-Makki al-Shaafa'i was asked about slaughtering a sheep on
the days of sacrifice with the intention of both offering a sacrifice
and offering 'aqeeqah: does it serve both purposes ornot?
He replied:
What is indicated by the words of our companions and we have been
holding this view for many years, is that they cannot be combined,
because both the udhiyah and the aqeeqah are Sunnah and each is done
for its own sake and is done for a reason that is different than the
other. The purpose behind one is not the same as the purpose behind
the other, because the udhiyah is a sacrifice offered on behalf of
oneself and the 'aqeeqah is a sacrifice offered on behalf of one's
child, because by its blessing one hopes that the child will be
righteous and kind to his parents and may intercede for them. Saying
that they may be combined negates the purpose behind both of them, so
we cannot say that. This is like what they say about the Sunnah of
doing ghusl for Jumu'ah and doing ghusl for Eid, and the Sunnah
prayers of Zuhr and 'Asr. As for the prayer to greet the mosque and
so on, they are not done for their own sake, rather that is done so as
not to transgress against the sanctity of the mosque, and that may be
achieved by offering anyother prayer. The same applies to fasting
Mondays, because the purpose is to fill this day with worship by
observing this special fast, but it may be achieved by observing any
other fast on that day. But this does not apply to udhiyah and
'aqeeqah, so they are not like that, as is clear from what I have
stated… End quote.
Al-Fataawa al-Fiqhiyyah (4/256).
What seems to be the case – and Allaah knows best – is that it is
acceptable to offer one sacrifice with the intention of 'aqeeqah and
udhiyah. This view was favoured by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem (may
Allaah have mercy on him).

Sacrifices - , Dought clear - , If a man or a woman wants to offer the sacrifice, they should refrain from cutting their hair and nails.

Is it permissible for one who is going to offer a sacrifice, whether a
manor a woman, to cut his orher hair and nails? What are the things
that become forbidden once the new moon of Dhu'l-Hijjah is sighted?.
Praise be to Allaah.
When the new moon of Dhu'l-Hijjah appears, it becomes haraam for the
one who wants to offer a sacrifice to remove anything from his hair,
nails or skin, because of the report narrated by Muslim (1977) from
UmmSalamah (may Allaah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When you see the new moon
of Dhu'l-Hijjah, if one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, let him
refrain from (cutting) his hair and nails." According to another
version: "When the ten days (of Dhu'l-Hijjah) begin, if one of you
wants to offer a sacrifice, let him not touch his hair or skin with
anything."
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:The scholars differed
concerning the one whowants to offer a sacrificewhen the ten days of
Dhu'l-Hijjah begin. Sa'eed ibn al-Musayyib, Rabee'ah, Ahmad, Ishaaq,
Dawood and some of the companions of al-Shaafa'i said that it is
haraam for him to cut anything from his hair and nails until he has
offered the sacrifice at the time of sacrifice. Al-Shaafa'i and his
companions said that it is makrooh but not haraam… end quote from
Sharh Muslim.
This ruling is general in meaning and applies to everyone who wants to
offer a sacrifice, man or woman.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: What is
permissible for a womanwho wants to offer a sacrifice on behalf of
herself and her household, or on behalf of her parents, to do with
regard to her hair once the ten days of Dhu'l-Hijjah begin?
He replied: It is permissible for her to undo her hair (if it is
braided etc) and wash it,but she should not combit. If some of her
hair falls out when it is beingundone or washed, that does not matter.
Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (18/47).
The one who wants to offer a sacrifice is not forbidden to do anything
else, such as wear regular clothes, wear perfume.

Sacrifices - , His father is unable to doHajj for health reasons, and he wants to do Hajj on his behalf.

I work in the land of the Two Holy Sanctuaries, and Allaah enabled me
to perform the obligatory Hajj last year. Now my father is in Egypt
and he wants to perform the obligatory duty of Hajj. He is able
financially but not physically, for health reasons. Can I perform the
obligatory Hajj for him and do Hajj on his behalf?.
Praise be to Allaah.
If your father is not able to do Hajj himself, because of old age or
sickness for which there is no hope of a cure and which makes him
unableto do Hajj, then he has toappoint someone else todo Hajj on his
behalf, whether he appoints you or someone else.
If you want to do Hajj onhis behalf, this is good, so long as you tell
him that you are going to do Hajj on his behalf and hegives you
permission to do that.
Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: If a person meets
the conditions of Hajj being obligatory forhim, but he is unable to do
it for a reason for which there is no hope that it will disappear,
such as old age or sickness for which there is no hope of a cure, or
he is too weak and cannot sit firmly on his mount except with
unbearable difficulty, or he is too old, etc, if thereis someone whom
he can appoint to do Hajj on his behalf, and he hasenough money to do
that, then he must do that. This is the view of Abu Haneefah and
al-Shaafa'i. End quote from al-Mughni (3/91).
He also said: It is not permissible to do Hajj and 'Umrah on behalf of
a living person without his permission, regardless of whether it is an
obligatory or voluntary Hajj, because it is an act of worship can be
done by proxy, soit is not permissible to do it on behalf of an adult
of sound mind except with his permission, as is the casewith zakaah.
In the case of one who is deceased, it is permissible to do it on his
behalf without permission, whether it isobligatory or voluntary,
because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
enjoined Hajj on behalf of the deceased, and it isknown that
permission cannot be sought from the deceased. End quote from
al-Mughni (3/95).
And Allaah knows best.

Fever: a blessing in disguise

Fever wipes out one's sins and rids his body from dead substances and
germs. It is a blessing in disguise.
The Prophet said: "When a believer gets sick or feverish, it is like
metal when put on fire, the bad is gone and the good remains."
[Al-Bayhaqi]
He also describes the intensity of fever by saying: "Feveris coal from
hell, get rid of it by using cold water." [Ibn Maajah]
The Prophet forbade the cursing of fever by saying: "Do not curse a
fever because it abolishes sins like fire abolishes dirt from iron."
[Ibn Maajah]
A bacterial or viral infection usually raises the temperature of a
person, antibiotics are useless with viral infections, such as the
influenza and the common cold, although the patient might sweat and
have a very high fever.
Then what is the cure?
The Prophet tells us to reducethe fever with water. The same isstill
applied today. Putting cold pads on a patient's forehead is still used
in a lot of hospitals and by doctors even though fever reducing
medicines are abundant, like aspirin, paracetamol (or acetaminophen,
which is the active ingredient in Tylenol) and others.
Using water to reduce fevers is not limited to using cold pads.
Drinking a lot of fluids is also helpful. This is also understood from
the wordings of the Prophetic narration: "cool it with water." Water
is either what the patient drinks, what is given intravenously or what
the patientputs on his face or body to cool the fever.
We have seen a lot of patients where fever reducing medicines
(antipyretics) were not effective with their rising fever. At the same
time, cold water had an immediate effect. That's why pediatricians
advise parents to take a child's clothes off and give a lot of fluids
if a fever occurs. An antipyretic might also be give likeparacetamol.
Aspirin has been banned for children under 12 years of age.
What is fever?
Fever occurs when the body temperature rises above normal (37 C).
There is an area in the brain (an area that lies over the pituitary
gland in the front of the head) which is a temperature regulator.
When a germ enters the body, it starts secreting toxins. Toxins affect
the temperature regulator causing its temperature to rise. The
substances that cause this rise in temperature are called pyrogens.
Pyrogens are caused not only by germs but also by theruined tissues in
the body after being affected with germs.
When the temperature rises in the temperature regulator, the rest of
the body has to comply. It increases its temperature in response.
Soon, the whole body feels feverish and the patient's temperature
rises. This explains the saying of the Prophet when he described the
believers in their kindness and affections like the body. If a part of
it suffers from a germ or a virus, like inflammation in the
respiratory pathways or inflammation of the urinary tracts and others,
all of the body suffers from fever and restlessness.
Yes the whole body suffers. The whole body has a rise in temperature
and not only where it is affected. When the inflammation worsens, the
germs increase and consequentlyruin the tissues. The germs and the
pyrogens will find the body's defense system ready to attack and eat
the by-products of the germs and rid the body of them. While doing
this, it releases to the body fluids a substance calledleukocyte
pyrogens or endogenous. Therefore the fever remains while the body is
cleansing itself from the by-products.
Didn't the Prophet say, when a man cursed the fever: "Don't curse it
because it abolishes sins like fire abolishes dirt from iron."
It is a cleansing of our sins, a cleansing of dead substances such as
dead tissue and the by-products of the germs, like fire cleans the
dirt from iron.
The famous book on physiology by Guyton, 1992 edition, stated that an
amount equal to one over10 billionth of a gram of endogenous is enough
for a feverto occur.
Such a small amount of a substance secreted in the body due to a very
small germ or a virus is enough to transfer a person form being
healthy, to becoming sick, feverish and bed ridden.
Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim said: "Iremember once, when I was feverish, a poet
cursing the fever, saying.
The sin purifier has visited and left.
How evil it is when visiting and when
leaving
She asked while getting ready to leave What
do you want?
I replied, to never come again.
I said, shame on him, he cursed what the Prophet forbade to be cursed.
If he had said:
The severe-sin cleanser has visited.
Greetings to it while visiting and while
leaving
She asked while getting ready to leave What
do you want?
I replied, to not leave.
It would have been better for him and it still would have left."
Recent scientific studies have shown that this leukocyte pyrogens
cause fever by making asubstance called prostaglandin inthe local
glands in the area of thehypothalamus. When the growth of this kind of
prostaglandin is inhibited, by using medicines, thefever is reduced.
This explains how aspirin reduces fever. It inhibits the growth of
prostaglandin and prevents its making.
The Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, said: "For every ailment,
there is a cure. If the cure reachesthe ailment, it is cured by the
willof Allaah." [Muslim]
That explains the known phenomena that aspirin does notreduce the
temperature of a normal person who is not feverish. That is because he
does not have these endogenous in hisbody to work on the hypothalamus.
How do chills occur and why?
The temperature level in the temperature regulator rises suddenly form
its normal level to a higher level, due to damage in the tissues, due
to the release of temperature generating substances or due to
dehydration. When this happens, the body temperature rises within a
few hours to attain the new temperature.
During this period, the patient shivers and feels cold, even though
the body temperature is high, because blood vessels in the skin
contract. The chills remain until the body temperature reaches the new
level set by the temperature regulator.
When the body temperature reaches that level, the chills stop and the
patient feels neither warm nor cold. As long as the infection
continues and the reason for the rise in temperature continues, the
body temperature remains at this new level until Allaah permits
recovery.

Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid

Khadeejahfirst was the wife of the Prophet, , the mother of his
children, the best of his wives and the first to believe in him. Her
name was Umm Hind Khadeejahbint Khuwaylid ibn Asad ibn 'Abd Al-'Uzzaa
ibn Qusayy . She was from Banu Asad , a branch of Quraysh , and her
mother was Faatimah bint Zaa'idah , from Banu 'Aamir ibn Lu'ayy , a
branch of the Quraysh .
She was born in Makkah , and grew up in a noble home. Her father died
during the Al-Fijaar war.
Before marrying the Prophet, , she was married to two Arab leaders.
The first was Abu Haalah ibn Zuraarah ibn An-Nabbaash from Banu Tameem
, who was the father of her daughters Hind and Haalah . The second was
'Ateeq ibn 'Aa'ith ibn 'Umar ibn Makhzoom , who was the father of her
daughter Hind bint 'Ateeq .
Khadeejah had a successful business and her commercial caravans
travelled between Makkah and Madeenah . She would also hire men and
give them money to invest it for her in trade. The Prophet, , was
oneof those who dealt with her in such a manner. She sent him in the
company of her slave Maysarah to Ash- Shaam (greater Syria) on a
business trip. When they came back, Maysarah told her about the
manners ofthe Prophet, , and his honesty and purity. He also told her
of the blessings which Allaah The Almighty caused to appear at his
hands so that her business multiplied in profit. As a result, she
wanted to marry him.
Soon afterwards, Hamzahibn 'Abd Al-Muttalib met her uncle 'Amr ibn
Asad ibn 'Abd Al-'Uzzaa asking for her hand to his nephew Muhammad , .
Their marriage was consummated fifteen years before he was
commissioned as a Prophet, when he, , was twenty five years oldand
Khadeejah was forty.
The couple were blessed with six children: Al-Qaasim, 'Abdullaah,
Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthoom and Faatimah .
Khadeejah loved the Prophet, , very much and would do whatever pleased
him. She even gave him her servant Zayd ibn Haarithah when she saw his
fondness for him.
One of the first examples of her support for the Prophet, , was when
he saw Jibreel (Gabriel) for the first time. He was terrified and went
to Khadeejah and said: "Cover me! Cover me!" When his fear had
subsided, he said: "I feared that something terrible would happen
tome." Khadeejah replied , "Never! By Allaah, Allaah will never fail
you. You maintain theties of kinship, you speakthe truth, you help the
poor and the destitute, you serve your guests generously, and you
assist those who are afflicted with misfortune." ] Al-Bukhaari [
She then took him to her cousin, Waraqah ibn Nawfal , who assured
himthat Allaah The Almighty had chosen him to be thefinal of the
Messengers.
She did not hesitate for amoment to accept his Da'wah (call), thus
becoming the first person to have faith in and believe in him. She
supported him in the course of his Da'wah and consequently, the
Prophet, , gave her theglad tidings of a house inParadise built of
pearls wherein there will be neither noise nor fatigue.[ Al-Bukhaari
and Muslim [
As a sign of his gratitude to her, the Prophet, , never married
another wife during her lifetime. When she died, he grieved greatly
for her. He would mention her name frequently and compliment her
generously, saying: "I have been endowed withher love." ] Muslim [
The Prophet, , was very faithful to her to theextent that he would be
extremely generous and kind to her friends, even after her death.
He, , also said that Khadeejah was the best woman on earth during her
time when he said: "Maryam the daughter of 'Imraan was the best among
the women [of the world at her time] and Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid is
the best amongst the women[of the world during her time]." ]
Al-Bukhaari and Muslim [
Khadeejah died three years before the Hijrah (emigration) and the
ascension of the Prophet, , to the heavens, at sixty five years of
age. She was buried in Al-Hajoon , leaving behind a great legacy and
an eventful life which history could never forget.

Sha'baan: A Blessed Month that People Neglect

These days we are living a season of profitable trade with Allaah The
Almighty, namely; the days of the month of Sha'baan which many people
neglect.
Here are some of the rulings and virtues of thismonth:
The virtue of fasting:
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, , said: "Allaah
The Exalted says, 'Every (good) deed of the son of Aadam would be
multiplied, a good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold
reward, with the exception of fasting, for it is done for Me and I
will give rewardfor it.'" [Muslim]
When Ibn 'Uyaynah was asked about the meaning of: 'With the exception
of fasting, for it is done for Me and I will give reward for it' , he
said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allaah The Exalted calls His slave
to account and makes him pay for wronging people from all his other
acts of worship until nothing remains except fasting. Thereupon,
Allaah pays for the remaining grievances and lets him enter Paradise
with his fasting."
'Abdullaah ibn 'Amr narrated that the Prophet, , said: "Fasting and
the Quran intercede for the slave onthe Day of Judgment." [Ahmad] [Al
Albaani: Saheeh [
Abu Umaamah narrated that he asked the Prophet, to order him with a
deed. The Prophet, , said: "Adhere to fasting as it has no equal" or
in another narration "no similar" [An-Nasaa'i] [Al Albaani: Saheeh ] [
Saheeh At-Targheeb [
Fasting of the predecessors:
Daawood ibn Abi Hind fasted for forty years without his family knowing
about it. He wasa clothes seller and used to carry his lunch with him,
but usually gave it incharity to the needy he would meet on the road.
[ Tahtheeb Siyar A'laam An-Nubalaa' [
Abu Muslim Al-Khawlaani was fasting while invading the land of the
Romans. He was asked, "What made you fast while you are traveling?" He
answered, "If we wereto fight, I would break my fast, prepare myself
and seek strength. Horsesdo not run rapidly when they are fat; rather,
they do when they are thin. Our remaining days are coming for which we
shall work." ] Tahtheeb Siyar A'laam An- Nubalaa ']
Narrations about the virtue of fasting in Sha'baan
'Aa'ishah said, "The Messenger of Allaah used to fast till one would
say that he would never stop fasting, and he would abandon fasting
till one would say that he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger
of Allaah fasting for a whole month except the month of Ramadhaan, and
did not see him fasting in any month more than in the month of
Sha'baan." [Al-Bukhaari]
'Aa'ishah also said, "I never saw the Prophet, observing (voluntary)
fast more in any other month than that of Sha'baan. He used to fast
throughout the whole of Sha'baan."
'Imraan ibn Husayn narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, , said to a
person: 'Did you observe any fast in the beginning of Sha'baan?' He
said, 'No.' Thereupon, the Messenger of Allaah, , said: 'Fast two days
instead (of one fast) when you have completed (the fasts of)
Ramadhaan." [Muslim] An-Nawawi said, "This Hadeeth contradicts the
authentic Hadeeths that prohibit fasting directly before Ramadhaan.
The Prophet, clarified that usual fasting is not included in the
prohibition; rather, the prohibition is for voluntary fasting."
The evidence of the preference of fasting it is that 'Aa'ishah said,
"I never saw the Prophet, observing (voluntary) fast more in any other
month than that of Sha'baan. He used to fast throughout the whole of
Sha'baan." [Al-Bukhaari]
"He (the Prophet ) never fasted a whole month except Sha'baan which he
combined with Ramadhaan." [Abu Daawood] That is to say that he used to
fast most of the days of Sha'baan . At Tirmithi narrated from Ibn
Al-Mubaarak that in the Arabic language, one may say "he fasted the
whole month" while he only fasted the majority thereof. Others said
that he would sometimes fast the wholemonth and at other timesfast
most of it. It was also said: from its (the month's) beginning to
itsend.

Dought clear - , Astrology vs. astronomy.

Are we allowed to read our star signs?
Praise be to Allaah.
Al-Bukhaari said in his Saheeh: Qutaadah said: "Allaah created these
stars for three purposes: to adorn the heavens, to stone the devils
and as signs by which to navigate. Whoever seeksanything else in them
is mistaken and does not benefit from them, and he is wasting his time
and effort in seeking something of which he has no knowledge." (Saheeh
al-Bukhaari, Baab fi'l-Nujoom, 2/240)
The study of the stars is divided into two kinds:
1- Study of the influence of the stars (astrology)
2- Study of the positions and movements of the stars (astronomy)
Study of the influence ofthe stars (astrology) is divided into three categories:
1 – The belief that these stars have a real influence in the sense
that they create events and evil. This is major shirk (shirk akbar),
because whoever claims that there is another creator alongside Allaah
is a mushrik in the sense of major shirk, for he is regarding a
created thing that is subjugated as a creator which subjugates.
2 – Making this a reason to claim to have knowledge of the unseen, so
from the movements and changesin the stars he deduces that such and
such will happen because such and such has happened to such and such a
star. For example, he may say that one person's life will be miserable
because he was born under this star, and that another person's life
willbe happy because he was born under that star. This person is
taking knowledge of thestars as a means to claim that he has knowledge
of the unseen, and claiming to have knowledge of the unseen is kufr
(disbelief)which puts one beyond the pale of Islam, because Allaah
says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (Unseen)
except Allaah"[al-Naml 29:65]
The grammatical structure used in the original Arabic – startingwith
the negation laa (translated here as "none") followed by the word illa
("except") – is one of the most emphatic ways of expressing
exclusivity. So if a person claims to know the unseen, he is
effectively disbelieving what the Qur'aan says.
3 – If he believes that thestars are the cause of good or bad things
happening, this is minor shirk (shirk asghar), i.e., when something
happens he attributes it to the stars (and only attributes it to the
stars after it has happened). The basic principle is that whoever
believes that one thing is the cause of another when Allaah has not
made it so, is overstepping the mark and not acknowledging Allaah asHe
should be acknowledged, because the One Who makes things happen is
Allaah alone. For example, if a person seeks healing from a piece of
string (tied around his wrist), and says, "I believe that healing is
in the hand of Allaah and this string is simply the means," we would
say to him, "You have saved yourself frommajor shirk but you
havefallen into lesser shirk, because Allaah has not made string a
clear means of healing. By doing this you have transgressed against
His position of Controller and Sustainer, by making something a means
to something elsewhen Allaah has not made it so." The same applies to
one who regards the stars as the cause of rainfall when this is not
the case. The evidence for that is the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari
(801) and Muslim (104) from Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani who said: "The
Messenger of Allaah SAWs (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
led us in praying Fajr at al-Hudaybiyah, following rainfall duringthe
night. When he had finished praying, he turned to the people and said,
'Do you know what your Lord has said?' They said, 'Allaah and His
Messenger knowbest.' He said, 'This morning one of My slaves became a
believerin Me and one became a disbeliever. As for the one who said,
"We have been given rain by virtue of Allaah and His mercy," he is a
believer in Me and a disbeliever in the stars. But as for the one who
said, "We have been given rain by such and such a star," heis a
disbeliever in Me and a believer in the stars.'" So the one who
attributes rain to the stars is saying that the stars caused the rain.
Study of the positions and movements of the stars (astronomy) is
divided into two categories:
1 – If their movements are used to define thingsthat serve a religious
purpose, this is something that is necessary. If that helps in the
case of religious obligations, then learning it is obligatory, such as
using the stars todetermine the direction of the qiblah (direction of
Makkah).
2 – If their movements are used to define thingsthat serve a worldly
purpose, there is nothing wrong with that. This is of two types:
(a) Using the stars to work out directions, such as knowing that the
pole lies to the north, and that the Pole Star, which is close to it,
revolves around the North Pole. This is permissible. Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
"And landmarks (signposts, during the day) and by the stars (during
the night), they (mankind) guide themselves"
[al-Nahl 16:16]
(b) Using the stars to work out the seasons, through learning the
phases of the moon. Some of the salaf regarded this as makrooh while
others permitted it. The correct view is that it is permissible and
there is nothing makrooh in it, because there is no shirkinvolved in
it, unless onelearns it in order to attribute rainfall or cold weather
to it, and says that this is what is causing that. That is a kind of
shirk. But simply knowing the time of year from it, whether it is
spring or autumn or winter, there is nothing wrong with that.
See al-Qawl al-Mufeed byShaykh Muhammad ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allaah
have mercy on him), 2/102.

Why is it not permissibleto wear garments on which it is written “I love Jesus” even though we believe in ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) and love him?, Dought clear - ,

Our Islamic religion forbids us to wear garments and T-shirts that
contain the phrase "I love Jesus" but even we, according to our
religion, love 'Eesa and believe in him, so why is it is forbidden to
us to wear them?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Yes, it is part of the belief of the Muslims andone of the pillars of
theirreligion to believe in all the Prophet and Messengers of Allah –
may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon them – as Allah, may He
be exalted, says:
"Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which has been sent
down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham),
Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat
(the twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)), and that which has been given to
Moosa(Moses) and 'Eesa (Jesus),and that which has beengiven to the
Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them,
and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
[al-Baqarah 2:136]
"The Messenger (Muhammad ) believes inwhat has been sent down to him
from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah,
His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say:We make no
distinction between one another of His Messengers - and they say: We
hear, and we obey. (We seek) YourForgiveness, our Lord, and to You is
the return (of all)."
[al-Baqarah 2:285].
Believing in all the Prophets means loving them, respecting them,
venerating them and acknowledging their virtue.
But this phrase that you mention, "I love Jesus", is something that
belongs exclusively to the Christians and has become a slogan or
symbol for them, because Jesus (Yasoo' in Arabic) is the name that the
Christians give to theProphet of Allah 'Eesa (peace be upon him).
They distorted the name 'Eesa to Yasoo', just as they distorted the
name Yahya to Yohanna (John), Yoonus to Yoonaan (Jonah) and Maryam to
Mary.
There is nothing in the words of Allah, may He be exalted, or in the
words of His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or
in the words of his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them),
indeed we do not know of anything in the wordsof any of the scholars
of Ahl as-Sunnah in which the name Yasoo' (Jesus) is used to refer to
the Prophet of Allah 'Eesa (peace be upon him). Rather the names that
are used are " 'Eesa" or "al-Maseeh (the Messiah)."
The Muslims say: We believe in 'Eesa (peace be upon him) and we love
him, and we seek todraw close to Allah, may He be exalted, by loving
him. But we do not say as these people say who have distorted the
religion of Allah and changed the words of Allah, "We believe in
Yasoo' (Jesus) and love him."
Similarly, the word "Yasoo'" for the Christians means "The Redeemer",
and they believe that their religion that they follow is the religion
of redemption. So the name Yasoo' and its meaning is connected totheir
false beliefs. Hence it is not permissible to imitate them in that.
The Messiah 'Eesa ibn Maryam is the Prophet ofAllah and His Messenger
in whom we believe, and we believe that he foretold the coming of our
Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him); he isnot
"Yasoo' the Redeemer, the son of God, the third of three" in whom the
Christians believe.
The phrase that you mention refers to the latter and is a slogan for a
religion of kufr. For this reason it is not allowed and it is not
permissible for a Muslim to write it or to wear a garment on which it
is written.

The mercy of the merciful Prophet, Islamic Stories - ,

A Bedouin came to Rasul Allah and told him, "Give me from what Allah
gaveyou, not from the wealthof your mother nor fromthe wealth of your
father." The Sahaabah were furious at the man and step forward to
discipline him for what he said. Rasul Allah commanded everyone
toleave him.
Then by the hand, Rasul Allah took him home, opened his door and said,
"Take what you wish and leave what youwish." The man did so and after
he completed, Rasul Allah asked him,"Have I honored you?""Yes, by
Allah,"
said the Bedouin. "Ash hadu an laa ilaaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna
Muhammadar Rasul Allah."
When the Sahabah heard of how the man changed, Rasul Allah taught them.
"Verily the example of myself, you and this Bedouin is that of a man
who had his camel run away. The townspeople tried capturing the camel
for him by running and shouting after the camel, only driving it
further away. The man would shout, 'Leave me and my camel,I know my
camel better.'Then he took some grassin his hand, ruffled it in front
of the camel, until it came willingly.
'By Allah, had I left you to this Bedouin, you would have hit him,
hurthim, he would have left without Islam and eventually have entered
hellfire."

We are extremly rich, yet we don't know it, Islamic Stories - ,

Once a person came to a Shaikh (Islamic scholar) and complained to him
about his own poverty, saying that he was in great distress and
wouldprefer death to such a life. The Shaikh said to him, "Are you
willing to have your eyes taken out in exchange for ten thousand
Dirhams (silvercoins)." He replied"Certainly not." The Shaikh said
"Would you like to have your tongueplucked out and get ten thousand
Dirhams in return?" The man said,"Of course not." The Shaikh said,
"Would you agree to having both your hands and feet cut off in return
for twenty thousand Dirhams." The man said that he would not. The
Shaikh asked"Are you willing to be made a mad man and get ten thousand
Dirhams in return?" The man said that he was not willing. At this, the
Shaikh said to him, "Are you not ashamed of yourself? You admit that
Allah Ta'ala has granted you so many precious gifts, the value
whereof, in your own estimation, exceeds fifty thousand Dirhams
(counting only afew gifts, by way of illustration) and yet you
complain of poverty!"
Source: "Fadhail-e-Sadaqaa Part II", translated by Prof. AbdulKarim.
The value of the above mentioned gifts can be fully understood when we
lose them. Let us be more thankful to our Lord.
