*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Signs to disobedience and rebellion in Qur’an

We said to the angels, 'Prostrate to Adam!' and they prostrated, with
theexception of Satan. He refused and was arrogant and was one ofthe
unbelievers. (Surat Al-Baqara, 34)
When they are told, 'Do not cause corruption on the earth,' they say,
'We are only putting things right.' (Surat Al-Baqara, 11)
No indeed! They are the corrupters, but they are not aware of it.
(Surat Al-Baqara, 12)
Those who break Allah's contract after it has been agreed, and sever
what Allah has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption on the
earth, it is they who are the lost. (Surat Al-Baqara, 27)
And when you said, 'Moses, we will not put up with just one kind of
food so ask your Lord to supply to us some of what the earth produces–
its green vegetables, cucumbers, grains, lentils and onions,' he said,
'Do you want to replace what is better with what is inferior? Goback
to Egypt, then you will have what you are asking for.' Abasement and
destitution were stamped upon them. They brought down anger from Allah
upon themselves. That was because they rejected Allah's Signs and
killed the Prophets without any right to do so. That was because they
rebelled and went beyond the limits. (Surat Al-Baqara, 61)
You are well aware of those of you who broke the Sabbath. We said to
them, 'Be apes, despised, cast out.' (Surat Al-Baqara, 65)
We made it an exemplary punishment for those there then, andthose
coming afterwards, and a warning to those who have fear of Allah.
(SuratAl-Baqara, 66)
Do you really hope they will follow you in belief when a group of them
heard Allah's Word and then, after grasping it, knowingly distorted
it? (Surat Al-Baqara, 75)
When they meet those who have belief in Allah, they say, 'We have
beliefin Allah.' But when they go apart with one another, they say,
'Why do you speak to them about what Allah has disclosed to you, so
they can use it as an argument against you before your Lord? Will you
not use your intellect?' (Surat Al-Baqara, 76)
Remember when We made a covenant with the tribe of Israel: 'Worship
none but Allah and be good to your parents and to relatives and
orphans and the very poor. And speak good words to people. And
establish daily prayer and give alm.' Butthen you turned away – except
a few of you – you turned aside. (Surat Al-Baqara, 83)
Then you are the people who are killing one another and expelling a
group among you from their homes, ganging upagainst them in wrongdoing
and enmity.Yet if they are brought to you as captives, you ransom
them, when it was forbidden for you toexpel them in the first place!
Do you, then, believe in one part of the Book and reject the other?
What repayment will there be for any of you who do that except
disgrace in this world? And on the Day of Rising, they will be returned
to the harshest of punishments. Allah is notunaware of what you do.
(Surat Al-Baqara, 85)
We gave Moses the Bookand sent a succession of Messengers after him.
We gave 'Jesus, son of Maryam, the Clear Signs and reinforced him with
the Purest Soul. Why then, whenever a Messenger came to you with
something your lower selves did not desire, did you grow arrogant, and
deny some of them and murder others? (Surat Al-Baqara, 87)
What an evil thing they have sold themselves for in rejecting what
Allah has sent down, outragedthat Allah should send down His favour on
whichever of His slaves He wills. They have brought down anger upon
anger on themselves. The unbelievers will have a humiliating
punishment.(Surat Al-Baqara, 90)
When they are told, 'Believe in what Allah has sent down,' they
say,'Our belief is in what was sent down to us,' and they reject
anythingbeyond that, even though it is the truth, confirming what they
have. Say, 'Why then, if you are believers, did you previously kill
the Prophets of Allah?' (SuratAl-Baqara, 91)
Remember when We made a covenant with you and lifted up the Mount
above your heads: 'Take hold vigorously of what We have given you and
listen.' They said, 'We hear and disobey.' They were made to drink the
Calf into their hearts because of their disbelief. Say, 'If you are
believers, what an evil thing your belief has made you do.' (Surat
Al-Baqara, 93)
Or do you want to question your Messengeras Moses was
questionedbefore? Anyone who exchanges belief for disbelief has
definitely gone astray from the level way. (Surat Al-Baqara, 108)
When they are told, 'Follow what Allah has sent down to you,' They
say, 'We are following what we found our fathers doing.' What, even
though their fathers did not understand a thing and were not guided!
(Surat Al-Baqara, 170)
When he leaves you, he goes about the earth corrupting it,
destroyingcrops and animals. Allah does not love corruption. (Surat
Al-Baqara, 205)
When he is told to have fear of Allah, he is seizedby pride which
drives him to wrongdoing. Hell will be enough for him! What an evil
resting-place! (Surat Al-Baqara, 206)
They will ask you about the Sacred Month and fighting in it. Say,
'Fighting in it is a seriousmatter; but barring access to the Way of
Allah and rejecting Him and barring access to the Masjid al-Unlawful
and expelling its people from it are far more serious in the sight of
Allah. Corruption is worse than killing.' They will not stop fighting
you until they make you revert from your religion, if they are able.As
for any of you who revert from their deen and die as unbeliever, their
actions will come to nothing in the world and the Hereafter. They are
the Companions of the Fire, remaining in it timelessly, for ever.
(Surat Al-Baqara, 217)
The religion with Allah isIslam. Those given the Book only differed
after knowledge had come to them, envying one another. As for those
who reject Allah's Signs, Allah is swift at reckoning. (Surah Al
'Imran, 19)
They will be plunged into abasement wherever they are found, unless
they have a treaty with Allah and with the people. They have brought
down anger from Allah upon themselves, and they have been plunged into
destitution. That was because they rejected Allah's Signs and killed
the Prophets without any right to do so. That was because they
disobeyed and went beyond the limits. (SurahAl 'Imran, 112)
And so that He would know the hypocrites. They were told, 'Come and
fight in the Way of Allah or at least help defend us.' They said, 'If
we knew how to fight, we would certainly follow you.' They were closer
to disbelief that day than to belief, saying with their mouthswhat was
not in their hearts. And Allah knows best what they are hiding. (Surah
Al 'Imran, 167)
As for those who disobeyAllah and His Messenger and overstep His
limits, We will admit them into a Fire, remaining in it timelessly,
for ever. They will have a humiliating punishment. (Surat An-Nisa',
14)
On that day those who were unbelievers and disobeyed the Messenger
will wish thatthey were one with the level earth. They will not be
able to hide a single circumstance from Allah. (Surat An-Nisa', 42)
Some of the Jews distort the true meaning of words, saying,'We hear
and disobey,' and 'Listenwithout listening,' and 'Ra'ina!' twisting
them with their tongues, disparaging the religion. If they had said,
'We hear and we obey,' and 'Listen,' and, 'Undhurna!'that would have
been better for them and more upright. But Allah has cursed them for
their disbelief. Very few of them have belief. (Surat An-Nisa', 46)
When they are told, 'Come to what Allah has sent down and to the
Messenger,' you see the munafiqun turning away from you completely.
(Surat An-Nisa', 61)
We sent no Messenger except to be obeyed by Allah's permission. If
only when they wronged themselves they had come to you and asked
Allah's forgiveness and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them
they would have found Allah Ever-Returning, Most Merciful. (Surat
An-Nisa', 64)
No, by your Lord, they are not believers until they make you their
judge in the disputes that break out between them, and then find no
resistance within themselves to what you decide and submit themselves
completely. (Surat An-Nisa', 65)
If We had directed them to kill themselves or leave their homes, they
would not have done so,except for a very few. But if they had done
what they were urged todo, it would have been better for them and far
more strengthening. (Surat An-Nisa', 66)
They have the word, 'Obedience!' on their tongues but when they leave
your presence, a group of them spend thenight plotting to do other
than what you say.Allah is recording their nocturnal plotting. So
letthem be and put your trust in Allah. Allah suffices as a Guardian.
(Surat An-Nisa', 81)
But if anyone opposes the Messenger after the guidance has become
clear to him, and followsother than the path of the believers, We will
hand him over to whatever he has turned to, and We will roast himin
Hell. What an evil destination! (Surat An-Nisa', 115)
The People of the Book will ask you to bring down a Book from heaven
to them. They asked Moses for even more than that. They said, 'Let us
see Allah with our own eyes.' So the lightning-bolt struck them down
for their wrongdoing. Then they adopted the Calf after the Clear Signs
had cometo them, but We pardoned them for that and gave Moses clear
authority. (Surat An-Nisa', 153)
We lifted up the Mount above their heads in accordance with the
covenant they had made, and We said to them, 'Enter the gate
prostrating,' and We said to them, 'Do not break the Sabbath,' and We
made a binding covenant with them. (Surat An-Nisa', 154)
But because of their breaking of their covenant, We have cursed them
and made their hearts hard. They distort the true meaningof words and
have forgotten a good portion of what they were reminded of. You will
never cease to come upon some act of treachery on their part, except
for a few of them. Yet pardon them, and overlook. Allah
lovesgood-doers. (Surat Al-Ma'ida, 13)
They said, 'We will neverenter it, Moses, as long as they are there.
So youand your Lord go and fight. We will stay sittinghere.' (Surat
Al-Ma'ida, 24)
He said, 'My Lord, I have no control over anyone but myself and my
brother, so make a clear distinction between us and this deviant
people.'(Surat Al-Ma'ida, 25)
We created you and then formed you and then We said to the angels,
'Prostrate before Adam,' and they prostrated – except for Satan. He
was not among those who prostrated. (Surat Al-A'raf, 11)
He said, 'What preventedyou from prostrating when I commanded you to?'
He replied, 'I am better than him. You created me from fire andYou
created him from clay.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 12)
He said, 'Descend from Heaven. It is not for you to be arrogant in it.
So get out! You are one of the abased.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 13)
He said, 'Grant me a reprieve until the day they are raised up.'
(Surat Al-A'raf, 14)
He said, 'You are one of the reprieved.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 15)
He said, 'By Your misguidance of me, I willlie in ambush for them on
your straight path. (Surat Al-A'raf, 16)
Then I will come at them, from infront of them and behind them, from
their right and from their left. You will not find most of them
thankful. (Surat Al-A'raf, 17)
He said, 'Get out of it, reviled and driven out. As for those of them
whofollow you, I will fill up Hell with every one of you.' (Surat
Al-A'raf, 18)
So he enticed them to doit by means of trickery. Then when they tasted
the tree, their private parts were disclosed to them and they started
stitching together the leaves of the Garden in order to cover
themselves. Their Lord called out to them,'Did I not forbid you this
tree and say to you, "Satan is an outright enemy to you"? (Surat
Al-A'raf, 22)
The ruling circle of thoseof his people who were arrogant said, 'We
will drive you out of our city,Shu'ayb, you and those who have iman
along with you, unless you return to our religion.' He said, 'What,
even though we detest it? (Surat Al-A'raf, 88)
The ruling circle of thoseof his people who were unbelievers said, 'If
you follow Shu'ayb, you will definitely be lost.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 90)
So he turned away from them and said, 'My people, I transmitted My
Lord's message to you and gave you good counsel. Why should I grieve
for people of disbelief?' (Surat Al-A'raf,93)
We did not find many of them worthy of their contract. We found most
of them deviators. (SuratAl-A'raf, 102)
And then, after them, Wesent Moses with Our Signs to Pharaoh and
hisruling circle but they wrongfully rejected them. See the final fate
of the corrupters! (Surat Al-A'raf, 103)
They said, 'We suffered harm before you came to us and after you
cameto us.' He said, 'It may well be that your Lord is going to
destroy your enemy and make you the successors in the land so that He
can see how you behave.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 129)
I will divert from My Signs all those who are arrogant in the earth
without any right. If they see every Sign, theywill not believe in it.
If they see the way of rightguidance, they will not take it as a way.
But if they see the way of error, they will take that as a way. That
is becausethey denied Our Signs and paid no attention tothem. (Surat
Al-A'raf, 146)
We conveyed the tribe of Israel across the sea and they came upon some
people who were devoting themselves to some idols which they had. They
said, 'Moses, give us a god just as these people have gods.'He said,
'You are indeed an ignorant people. (Surat Al-A'raf, 138)
What these people are doing is destined for destruction. What they are
doing is purposeless.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 139)
He said, 'Should I seek something other than Allah as a god for you
when He has favoured you over all other beings?' (Surat Al-A'raf, 140)
After he left, Moses's people adopted a calf made from their
ornaments, a form which made a lowing sound. Did they not see that it
could not speak tothem or guide them to any way? They adopted it and
so they were wrongdoers. (Surat Al-A'raf, 148)
When Moses returned to his people in anger and great sorrow, he said,
'What an evil thing you did in my absence after Ileft! Did you want to
hasten your Lord's command?' He threw down the Tablets and seized hold
of his brother's head, dragging him towards him. Harun said, 'Son of
my mother, The people oppressed me and almost killed me. Do not give
my enemies cause to gloat over me. Do not include me with the
wrongdoing people.' (Surat Al-A'raf, 150)
Those who follow the Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, whom they find
written down with them in the Torah and the Gospel, commanding them to
doright and forbidding them to do wrong, making good things lawful for
them and bad things unlawful for them, relieving them of their heavy
loads and the chains which were around them. Those whobelieve in him
and honour him and help him, and follow the Light that has been sent
down with him, they arethe ones who are successful.' (Surat Al-A'raf,
157)
Ask them about the town which was by the sea when they broke
theSabbath – when their fish came to them near the surface on their
Sabbath day but did not come on the days which were not their Sabbath.
In this way We put them to the test because they were deviators.
(Surat Al-A'raf, 163)
When they were insolentabout what they had been forbidden to do, We
said to them, 'Be apes, despised, cast out!'(Surat Al-A'raf, 166)
Then your Lord announced that He would send against them until the Day
of Rising people who would inflict an evil punishment on them. Your
Lord is Swift in Retribution. And He is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(Surat Al-A'raf, 167)
And We divided them into nations in the earth. Some of them are
rightious and some are other than that. We triedthem with good and
evilso that hopefully they would return. (Surat Al-A'raf, 168)
Those who are in the presence of your Lord donot consider themselves
too great to worship Him. They glorify His praise and they prostrate
to Him. (Surat Al-A'raf, 206)
Just as your Lord brought you out from your house with truth, even
though a group of the believers disliked it. (Surat Al-Anfal, 5)
Arguing with you about the Truth after it had been made clear as
though they were being driven to their death with open eyes. (Surat
Al-Anfal, 6)
And when your Lord revealed to the angels, 'I am with you so make
those who believe, firm. I will cast terror into the hearts of those
who are unbelievers, so strike their necks and strike all their finger
joints!' (Surat Al-Anfal, 12)
This was because they were hostile to Allah andHis Messenger. If
anyone is hostile to Allah and HisMessenger, Allah is severe in
retribution. (Surat Al-Anfal, 13)
That is your reward, so taste it. The unbelievers will also have the
punishment of the Fire. (Surat Al-Anfal, 14)
You who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger. And do not turn away
from Him when you are able to hear. (Surat Al-Anfal, 20)
Do not be like those whosay, 'We hear,' when they do not hear. (Surat
Al-Anfal, 21)
The worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the deaf and dumb who have no
intellect. (Surat Al-Anfal, 22)
If Allah knew of any good in them, He would have made them able to
hear. But even if He had made them able to hear, they would still have
turned away. (Surat Al-Anfal, 23)
You who believe! respond to Allah and to the Messenger when He calls
you to what will bring you to life! Know that Allah intervenes between
a man and his heart and that you will be gathered to Him. (Surat
Al-Anfal, 24)
You who believe! do not betray Allah and His Messenger, and do not
knowingly betray your trusts. (Surat Al-Anfal, 27)
Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not quarrel among yourselves lest
you lose heart and your momentum disappear. And be steadfast. Allah is
with the steadfast. (Surat Al-Anfal, 46)
Say: 'If your fathers or your sons or your brothers or your wives or
your tribe, or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear
may slump, or any house which pleases you, are dearer to you than
Allah and His Messenger and struggle in His Way, thenwait until Allah
brings about His command. Allah does not guide people who are
deviators.' (Surat At-Tawba, 24)
You who believe! What is the matter with you that when you are told,
'Go out and fight in the way of Allah,' you sink down heavily to the
earth? Are you happier with the earth than the Hereafter? Yet the
enjoyment of the earth is very small compared to that of the
Hereafter. (Surat At-Tawba, 38)
If you do not go out to fight, He will punish you with a painful
punishment and substitute another people in your place. You will not
harm Him inany way. Allah has power over all things. (Surat At-Tawba,
39)
If it had been a case of easy gains and a short journey, they would
have followed you, but the distance was too great for them. They
willswear by Allah: 'Had we been able to, we would have gone out with
you.'They are destroying their own selves. Allah knows that they are
lying. (Surat At-Tawba, 42)
Nothing prevents what they give from being accepted from them but the
fact that they have rejected Allah and His Messenger, and that
theyonly come to perform prayer lethargically, and that they only give
reluctantly. (Surat At-Tawba, 54)
If only they had been pleased with what Allah and His Messenger had
given them and had said, 'Allah is enough for us. Allah will give us
of His bounty as will His Messenger. It is to Allah that we make our
plea.' (Surat At-Tawba, 59)
Among them are some who insult the Prophet, saying he is only an ear.
Say, 'An ear of good for you, believing in Allah and believing in the
believers, and a mercy for those among you who believe.' As for those
who insult the Messenger of Allah, they will have a painful
punishment. (Surat At-Tawba, 61)
They swear to you by Allah in order to please you, but it would be
more fitting for them to please Allah and His Messenger if they are
believers. (Surat At-Tawba, 62)
Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, will
have the Fire of Hell, remaining in it timelessly, for ever? Thatis
the great disgrace. (Surat At-Tawba, 63)
If you ask them they will say, 'We were only joking and playing
around.' Say: 'Would youmake a mockery of Allah and of His Signs and
of His Messenger? (Surat At-Tawba, 65)
Do not try to excuse yourselves. You have become unbelievers after
having belief. If one group of you is pardoned, another group will be
punished for being evildoers.' (Surat At-Tawba, 66)
The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. They
command what is right and forbid what is wrong, and establish
performing prayer and give alm, and obey Allah and His Messenger. They
are the people on whomAllah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty,
All-Wise. (Surat At-Tawba, 71)
O Prophet, struggle against the unbelievers and hypocrites and be
harsh with them. Their shelter will be Hell. Whatan evil destination!
(Surat At-Tawba, 73)
So He has punished themby putting hypocrisy in their hearts until the
daythey meet Him because they failed Allah in what they promised Him
and because they lied. (Surat At-Tawba, 77)
You can ask forgiveness for them, or not ask forgiveness for them.
Even if you asked forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah still
would not forgive them. That is because they have rejected Allah and
His Messenger. Allah does not guide deviant people. (Surat
At-Tawba,80)
Those who were left behind were glad to staybehind the Messenger
ofAllah. They did not want to struggle with their wealth and
themselves in the Way of Allah. They said, 'Do not go out to fight in
the heat.' Say: 'The Fire of Hell is much hotter, if they only
understood.' (Surat At-Tawba, 81)
Let them laugh little and weep much, in repayment for what theyhave
earned. (Surat At-Tawba, 82)
If Allah returns you to a group of them, and they ask you for
permission to go out, say, 'You will never go out with me, nor will
you ever fight an enemy with me. You were happy to stay behind the
first time, so stay behind with those who are left behind.' (Surat
At-Tawba, 83)
Never pray over any of them who die or stand at their graves. They
rejected Allah and His Messenger and died as deviators. (Surat
At-Tawba, 84)
There are only grounds against those who ask you for permission to
stay when they are rich. They were pleased to be among those who were
left behind. Allah has sealed up their hearts so they do not know.
(SuratAt-Tawba, 93)
They will make excuses to you when you return to them. Say: 'Do not
make excuses, we will not believe you. Allah has already informed us
about you. Allah will see your actions, as will His Messenger. Then
you willbe returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and
He will inform you regarding what you did.'(Surat At-Tawba, 94)
They will swear to you by Allah when you return to them, so that you
leave them alone. Leave them alone, then! They are filth. Their
shelter will be Hell as repayment for what theydid. (Surat At-Tawba,
95)
As for those who have set up a mosque, causingharm and out of
disbelief, to create division between the believers, and in readiness
for those who previously made war on Allah and His Messenger, they
will swear, 'We onlydesired the best.' But Allah bears witness that
they are truly liars. (Surat At-Tawba, 107)
The buildings they have built will not cease to be a bone of
contention in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to shreds.
Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Surat At-Tawba, 110)
Allah has turned towardsthe Prophet, and the Muhajirun and the Ansar,
those who followed him at the 'time of difficulty', after the hearts
of a group of them had almost deviated. Then He turned towards them –
He is All-Gentle, Most Merciful to them – (SuratAt-Tawba, 117)
But if they turn away, say, 'Allah is enough for me. There is no god
but Him. I have put my trust in Him. He is the Lord of the Mighty
Throne.' (Surat At-Tawba, 129)
No, the fact is that they have denied something which their knowledge
does not embrace and the meaning of which has not yet reached them. In
the same way those before them also denied the truth. See thefinal
fate of the wrongdoers! (Surah Yunus, 39)
Among them there are some who believe in it and some who do not. Your
Lord best knows the corrupters. (Surah Yunus, 40)
If they deny you, say, 'I have my actions and youhave your actions.
You are not responsible for what I do and I am not responsible for
what youdo.' (Surah Yunus, 41)
Among them there are some who listen to you. But can you make the deaf
hear even though they cannot understand?(Surah Yunus, 42)
Among them there are some who look at you. But can you guide the
blind, even though they cannot see? (Surah Yunus, 43)
No one believed in Moses except for a few of his peoples youth out of
fear that Pharaoh, and the elders, would persecute them. Pharaohwas
high and mighty in the land. He was one of the profligate. (Surah
Yunus, 83)
The ruling circle of thoseof his people who were unbelievers said, 'We
do not see you as anything but a human being like ourselves. We do not
seeanyone following you but the lowest of us, unthinkingly. We do not
see you as superior to us. On the contrary, we consider you to be
liars. (Surah Hud, 27)
He said, 'My people! What do you think? If I were to have clear
evidence from my Lord and He had given me a mercy direct from Him, but
you were blind to it, could we force it on you if you were unwilling?
(Surah Hud, 28)
They said, 'Noah, you have argued with us andargued much so bring
uswhat you have promisedus if you are telling the truth.' (Surah Hud,
32)
It sailed with them through mountainous waves, and Noah called out to
his son, who had kept himself apart, 'My son! Come on board withus. Do
not stay with the unbelievers!' (Surah Hud,42)
He said, 'I will take refuge on a mountain; It will protect me from
the flood.' He said, 'There is no protection from Allah's command
today except for those He has mercy on.' The waves surged in between
themand he was among the drowned. (Surah Hud, 43)
They said, 'Hud, you have not brought us any clear sign. We will not
forsake our gods for what you say. We do notbelieve you. (Surah Hud,
53)
That was 'Ad. They denied the Signs of theirLord and disobeyed His
Messengers and followed the command of every obdurate tyrant. (Surah
Hud, 59)
They said, 'Salih, we had great hopes in you before this happened. Do
you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? We have grave
doubts aboutwhat you are calling us to.' (Surah Hud, 62)
My people! Here is the she-camel of Allah as a Sign for you. So leave
her alone to eat on Allah's earth and do not inflict any harm on her
or you will be overcome by an imminent punishment.' (Surah Hud, 64)
But they hamstrung her, so he said, 'Enjoy yourselves in your land for
three more days. That is a promise which will not be belied.' (Surah
Hud, 65)
My people! Do not let your breach with me provoke you into doing wrong
so that the same thing happens to you as happened to the people of
Noah and the people of Hud and the people ofSalih; and the people of
Lut are not far distant from you. (Surah Hud, 89)
They said, 'Shu'ayb, We do not understand muchof what you say and we
see you are weak amongus. Were it not for your clan, we would have
stoned you. We do not hold you in high esteem!' (Surah Hud, 91)
When your Lord said to the angels, 'I am creating a human being out of
dried clay formed from fetid black mud. (Surat Al-Hijr, 28)
When I have formed himand breathed My Soul into him, fall down in
prostration in front of him!' (Surat Al-Hijr, 29)
Then the angels prostrated all together, every one of them –(Surat Al-Hijr, 30)
Except Satan. He disdained to be one of the prostrators. –(Surat Al-Hijr, 31)
He said, 'Satan, what is itthat prevents you being among the
prostrators?' (Surat Al-Hijr, 32)
He said, 'I will not prostrate to a human being whom You have created
out of dried clay formed from fetid black mud.' (Surat Al-Hijr, 33)
He said, 'Get out from here, you are accursed. (Surat Al-Hijr, 34)
The curse will be on you till the Day of Reckoning.' (Surat Al-Hijr, 35)
He said, 'My Lord, grant me a reprieve until the Day they are raised
again.' (Surat Al-Hijr, 36)
He said, 'You are among the reprieved. (Surat Al-Hijr, 37)
Until the Day whose timeis known.' (Surat Al-Hijr, 38)
He said, 'My Lord, because You misled me, Iwill make things on the
earth seem good to them and I will mislead them all, every one of
them, (Surat Al-Hijr, 39)
He said, 'These are my guests so do not put me to shame. (Surat Al-Hijr, 68)
Have fear of Allah and donot dishonour me.' (Surat Al-Hijr, 69)
They said, 'Did we not forbid you to play host to anyone at all?'
(Surat Al-Hijr, 70)
With the exception of the family of Lut, all of whom We will sav.
(Surat Al-Hijr, 59)
When We said to the angels, 'Prostrate yourselves to Adam!' they
prostrated, except for Satan. He said 'What! Am I to prostrate to one
You have created out of clay?' (Surat Al-Isra', 61)
He said, 'Do you see this creature you have honoured over me? If You
reprieve me till the Day of Rising, I will be the master of his
descendants except for avery few.' (Surat Al-Isra', 62)
When We said to the angels, 'Prostrate yourselves to Adam,' they
prostrated with the exception of Satan. He was one of the jinn and
wantonly deviated from his Lord's command. Do you take him and his
offspring as protectors apart from Me when they are your enemy? How
evil is the exchangethe wrongdoers make! (Surat Al-Kahf, 50)
Father, do not worship Satan. Satan was disobedient to the
All-Merciful. (Surah Maryam, 44)
He said, 'We tried your people after you left andthe Samaritan has
misguided them.' (Surah Ta Ha, 85)
Moses returned to his people in anger and great sorrow. He said, 'My
people, did not your Lord make you a handsome promise? Did the
fulfilment of the contract seem too long to you or did you want to
unleash your Lord's anger upon yourselves, so you broke your promise
to me?' (Surah Ta Ha, 86)
They said, 'We did not break our promise to you of our own volition.
But we were weighed down with the heavy loads of the people's jewelry
and we threw them in, for that is what the Samaritan did.' (Surah Ta
Ha, 87)
Then he produced a calf for them, a physical formwhich made a lowing
sound. So they said, 'Thisis your god – and Moses's god as well, but
he forgot.' (Surah Ta Ha, 88)
Could they not see that itdid not reply to them and that it possessed
no power to either harm or benefit them? ' (Surah TaHa, 89)
Harun had earlier said tothem, 'My people! It is just a trial for you.
Your Lord is the All-Merciful, so follow me and obey my command!'
(Surah TaHa, 90)
They said, 'We will not stop devoting ourselves to it until Moses
returns to us.' (Surah Ta Ha, 91)
He said, 'What preventedyou following me, Harun, when you saw that
they had gone astray? (Surah Ta Ha, 92)
Did you too, then, disobey my command?' (Surah Ta Ha, 93)
He said, 'Son of my mother! Do not seize me by the beard or by the
hair. I was afraid that you would say, "You have caused division in
the tribe of Israel and taken no notice to anything I said."' (Surah
Ta Ha, 94)
He said, 'What do you think you were doing, Samaritan?' (Surah Ta Ha, 95)
He said, 'I saw what theydid not see. So I gathered up a handful from
the Messenger's footprints and threw it in. That is what my innerself
urged me to do.' (Surah Ta Ha, 96)
But Satan whispered to him, saying, 'Adam, shall I show you the way to
the Tree of Everlasting Life and to a kingdom which will never fade
away?' (Surah Ta Ha, 120)
So the two of them ate from it and their private parts were disclosed
to them and they started stitching together the leaves of the Garden
to cover themselves. Adam disobeyed his Lord and became misled. (Surah
Ta Ha, 121)
You are nothing but a human being like ourselves, so produce a Sign if
you are telling the truth.' (Surat Ash-Shu'ara', 154)
He said, 'Here is a she-camel. She has a time for drinking and you
have a time for drinking – on specified days. (Surat Ash-Shu'ara',155)
Do not do anything to harm her or the punishment of a terrible day
will come down on you.' (Surat Ash-Shu'ara',156)
But they hamstrung her and woke up full of remorse, (Surat Ash-Shu'ara', 157)
If they disobey you, say, 'I am free of what you do.' (Surat Ash-Shu'ara', 216)
If they had been overrunfrom every side, and hadthen been asked to
revert to disbelief, they would have done so andhesitated very little
about it. (Surat Al-Ahzab,14)
If the hypocrites and those with sickness in their hearts and the
rumour-mongers in Madina do not desist, Wewill set you onto them. Then
they will only be your neighbours there a very short time. (Surat
Al-Ahzab, 60)
We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets.
(Surat As-Saffat, 6)
And guarded it against every defiant satan. (Surat As-Saffat, 7)
Say: 'I fear, were I to disobey my Lord, the punishment of a
TerribleDay.' (Surat Az-Zumar, 13)
Were it not that mankind might all become one community,We would have
given those who reject the All-Merciful silver roofs to their houses
and silver stairways to ascend. (Surat Az-Zukhruf, 33)
Those who are unbelievers and obstructthe Way of Allah and are
entrenched in hostility towards the Messenger after the guidance has
become clear to them, do not harm Allah in any way and He makes their
actions come to nothing.(Surah Muhammad, 32)
Whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger – We have prepared
a Blazing Fire for the unbelievers. (Surat Al-Fath, 13)
You who believe! do not put yourselves forward in front of Allah and
of His Messenger; and have fear of Allah. Allah is All-Hearing,
All-Knowing.(Surat Al-Hujurat, 1)
You who believe! do not raise your voices above the voice of the
Prophet and do not be as loud when speaking to him asyou are when
speaking to one another, lest youractions should come to nothing
without your realising it. (Surat Al-Hujurat, 2)
Know that the Messenger of Allah is among you. If he were to obey you
in many things, you would suffer for it. However, Allah hasgiven you
love of iman and made it pleasing to your hearts, and has made kufr,
deviance anddisobedience hateful to you.People such as theseare
rightly guided. (Surat Al-Hujurat, 7)
Those who oppose Allah and His Messenger will be subdued and overcome
as those before them were also subdued and overcome. We have sent down
Clear Signs. The unbelievers will have a humiliating punishment.
(Surat Al-Mujadala, 5)
Do you not see those who were forbidden to confer together secretly
returning to the very thing they were forbidden to do, and conferring
together secretly in wrongdoing and enmity and disobedience to the
Messenger? And when they come to you they greet you with words Allah
has never used in greeting you, and say to themselves 'Why does Allah
not punish us for what we say?'Hell will beenough for them! They will
roast in it. What an evil destination! (Surat Al-Mujadala, 8)
You who believe! when you confer together secretly,do not do so in
wrongdoing and enmity and disobedience to the Messenger; rather
confertogether in goodness and fear of Allah. Have fear of Allah – Him
to Whom you will be gathered. (Surat Al-Mujadala, 9)
Conferring in secret is from Satan, to cause grief to those who
beieve; but it cannot harm them at all, unless by Allah's permission.
So let the believers put their trust in Allah. (SuratAl-Mujadala, 10)
Those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, such people will be among
the most abased. (Surat Al-Mujadala, 20)
You will not find people who believe in Allah andthe Last Day having
love for anyone who opposesAllah and His Messenger, though they be
their fathers, their sons, their brothers or their clan. Allah has
inscribed belief upon such people's hearts andwill reinforce them with
a Soul from Him and admit them into Gardenswith rivers flowing under
them, remaining in them timelessly, for ever. Allah is pleased with
them and they are pleased with Him. Such people are the party of
Allah. Truly it is the partyof Allah who are successful. (Surat
Al-Mujadala, 22)
That is because they were entrenched in hostility towards Allah and
His Messenger. If anyone is hostile towards Allah, Allah is Severe in
Retribution. (Surat Al-Hashr , 4)
Remember when Moses said to his people, 'My people, why do you
mistreat me when you know that I am the Messenger of Allah to you? 'So
when they deviated, Allah made their hearts deviate. Allah does not
guide people who are deviators. (Surat As-Saff, 5)
You who believe! Shall I direct you to a transaction which will save
you from a painful punishment? (Surat As-Saff, 10)
They will say, 'Yes indeed, a warner did come to us but we denied him
and said, "Allah has sent nothing down. You are just greatly
misguided."' (Surat Al-Mulk , 9)
They will say, 'If only we had really listened and used our intellect,
we would not have been Companions of the Blaze.' (Surat Al-Mulk , 10)
Pharaoh and those before him and the Overturned Cities made agreat
mistake. (Surat Al-Haqqa, 9)
They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord so He seized them in an
ever-tightening grip. (Surat Al-Haqqa, 10)
Noah said, 'My Lord, theyhave disobeyed me and followed those whose
wealth and children have only increased them in loss. (Surah Nuh, 21)
They have hatched a mighty plot. (Surah Nuh, 22)
Saying, "Do not abandonyour gods. Do not abandon Wadd or Suwa'or
Yaghuth or Ya'uq or Nasr. (Surah Nuh, 23)
They have misguided many people. Do not increase the wrongdoersin
anything but misguidance!' (Surah Nuh, 24)
Then he showed him theGreat Sign. (Surat An-Nazi'at, 20)
But he denied it and disobeyed, (Surat An-Nazi'at, 21)
And then he hastily backed away. (Surat An-Nazi'at, 22)
But then he rallied and called out, (Surat An-Nazi'at, 23)
Saying, 'I am your Lord Most High!' (Surat An-Nazi'at, 24)
When Our Signs are recited to him, he says, 'Just myths and legends of
the previous peoples!'(Surat Al-Mutaffifin, 13)
What is the matter with them that they do not believe. (Surat Al-Inshiqaq, 20)
And, when the Qur'an is recited to them, do not prostrate? (Surat
Al-Inshiqaq, 21)
In fact those who are unbelievers say that it is lies. (Surat Al-Inshiqaq, 22)
And the Messenger of Allah had said to them, 'This is the she-camel of
Allah, so let her drink!' (Surat Ash-Shams, 13)
But they denied him andthey hamstrung her, so their Lord crushed them
for their sin and flattened them. (Surat Ash-Shams, 14) - - ▓███▓

of the pre-ejaculatory fluid, including marriage for those who are
unmarriedand giving up thinking about sexual intercourse and similar
matters which make one sexually excited. You can also

Fathwa, - The rationale behind considering Istinjaa’ withthe water of Zamzam disliked

Question
What is the ruling on performing Istinjaa' (purification after
relieving oneself) with the water of Zamzam?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
Imaam An-Nawawi reported in his book Al-Majmoo' that Al-Maawardi
mentioned that Istinjaa' with the water of Zamzam is valid by the
consensus of Muslim scholars.
However, many Muslim jurists considered it disliked to use the water
of Zamzam in removing impurities, including Istinjaa', yet they ruled
that it is valid. The rationale behind considering it disliked is that
the water of Zamzam is a blessed water. Ibn Al-Qayyim said: " Zamzam
water is the best and noblest of all waters, the highest in status,
the dearest to people, and the most precious and priceless to them. It
was dug by Jibreel and it quenched the thirst of Ismaa'eel . "
As for using the water of Zamzam for ablution and Ghusl, it is
permissible without any dislike, for itwas reported in Al-Musnad and
was authenticated by Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir on the authority of 'Ali ibn
Abi Taalib that the Prophet , " asked for a pot containing Zamzam
water and drank and performed ablution from it . "

Fathwa, - Abandoning the Sunnah acts in Wudhoo’

Question
Is it permissible to wash the organs of Wudhoo' (ablution) only once?
Is Wudhoo' valid when one deliberately abandons the Sunnah acts
without a Sharee'ah-approved justification?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is permissible that one washes the organs of Wudhoo' only one time,
based on the Hadeeth narrated by Ibn 'Abbaas in which he said: "
TheProphet , performed Wudhoo' washing his organs only one time. "
[Al-Bukhaari]
In principle, the Sunnah acts of Wudhoo' should not be deliberately
abandoned. Nevertheless, abandoning such acts does not render
Wudhoo'invalid. A Muslim, however, should be keento perform Wudhoo' in
the same way the Prophet , used to do most of the time, by washing his
organs thrice and doing the relevant recommended acts. Allaah Knows

It’s all in a hug

Kids aren't mind readers, but they are capable of reading our body language
When we hear about the tragedies in the world, such as the horrific
tsunami; or about all of the people and children hurt inthe worn-torn
countries found allaround the world; the millions of children who are
starving to death or dying of AIDS ...we each should be much, much
more thankful to our Creator for all that we have been blessed with
and never, ever forget all those who are suffering in our du'aa
(supplications).
Making du'aa and remembering all those suffering should be a regular
occurrence in our households, and with our families. Our children in
the West, with all the available perks in life are completely oblivious
to the suffering in the world unless we talk to them about it and
remind them that for all that they have there are so many that have
nothing. By the same token, we need to give ourselves a harsh reminder
as well not to take things - specifically our families for granted, as
we so often do.
Our children really need us to be there for them, not just to give
them lunch – money or pay their allowances.... but to be their rockin
the shakable and unsteady world they live in. Most importantly, we
need to show them by words and actions, that we love them – at every
opportunity we get.
A single action can say, and mean, a lot
We all have clear and concise memories of our parents – clear into our
adulthood. We remember what they did, what they said, how they acted,
even how they said things... and we also vividly recall what they
didn'tdo or say. Sometimes just a single action in a particular moment
can say, and mean a lot to a child, including and especially a
teenager. Teenagers and tweens care a lot more about what we, their
parent, think, than they would like to let on. So, while they may act
like they could care less, there shouldbe no doubt whatsoever that
they care immensely.
Some kids, if they do not get adequate positive attention, act out
with undesirable behavior to get any attention in any way possible
even if it is negative attention from Mom or Dad. Something is always
better than nothing, or not enough. Make thetime, you may not have it
later aswe live our lives and get caught up in our own dramas, we
often forget that our lives here are onlytemporary.
At any given time, Allaah Almighty forbid it for us, there could be a
car accident, a burglary gone bad, an indiscriminate drive-by shooting
or let's face it a hate crime committed against any person in our
family. People pass away from house-hold accidents every day and then
there is illness, which could strike any one of us. These
circumstances are all beyond our control and are real.
Because we live with such uncertainty and because we mustrealize and
make our children also understand that they are notinvisible... we
must make the time to spend with our family and show them we love
them; not tomorrow, but today - right now, this moment, because we may
not have that time later.
We all have the habit of putting things off, publicly and privately.
It is easier, life is busy, and there never is enough time in a day.
However, we should take notice to never procrastinate with our love.
We cannot afford to take time for granted when it comes to our
religion or our family. Time spent on these two vital aspects of our
lives is valuable time that is been very well spent.
Start with a hug
I know some of you may not havebeen raised in a home that displayed
affection and the thought of it, the action itself, may be awkward and
a little strange. But even if you didn't receive it as a child, know
that your children need it from you. Hugging is a whole lot easier
than you think, and once you get in the habit of doing it several
times per day, it will become natural and a comfort to you and your
children.
Comfort in a cuddle!
I make du'aa that, if haven't already, you begin today by giving your
kids a hug each day and tell them you love and care for them. It is
such a comfort for a child, or wife or close friend for that matter,
to be held close and enclosed in loving arms.
For anyone who may be skeptical about it, you should ask yourself why
it seems scary to you. The Prophet Muhammad was known to be very
affectionate and caring towards his children and he is our best
example and role model as is featured in the following Hadeeth: Abu
Salamah related that Abu Hurayrah said: "The Prophet of Allaah kissed
Hasan ibn 'Ali while Aqra` ibn Haabis was sitting nearby. Aqra` said,
`I have ten children and have never kissed one of them.' The Prophet
looked at him and said, `Those who show no mercy will be shown no
mercy"' [Al-Bukhaariand Muslim]
After you have mulled that over for a while, then ask yourself: what
do you really have to lose? - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Draw Closer to Your Lord - I

When a person contemplates the state of people who are trapped in
forbidden lusts and those who pursue the satisfaction of their
instincts and desires, you will find that they share a common factor,
which is evident in their every movement and moment of repose, and
which is reflected in their facial features: a weak connection with
Allaah The Almighty.
How can a heart which is connected to Allaah The Almighty, a heart
that knows Himand has tasted the pleasure of being close to Him, find
pleasure or comfort in looking at nude pictures, watching pornographic
movies or stealing surreptitious gazes at what is unlawful? Thus,
everyone who has fallen into one of the sins related to sexual
desires, or returned to it after repentance and abandoning it, has
been dragged to this state due to the weakness of his faith. Weak
faith facilitates the way to his soul which is a persistent enjoiner
of evil, as well as to the accursed Satan, and thus he was trapped in
the swamps of sexual desire after being firm for a long time in the
gardens of faith.
Faith in Allaah The Almighty is theshield against falling into
prohibitions, second only, of course, to the guidance of Allaah The
Almighty. The Prophet said: "The adulterer is not a believer at the
time he commits adultery." [Al-Bukhaari]
Thus, when faith inhabits the heart, dominates the feelings, and flows
to the organs to lead them to the pleasure of Allaah The Almighty, the
person will notdare to think of committing an act of disobedience. The
eye will not dare to look at what is prohibited, nor will any part of
the body dare to disobey the commands of Allaah The Almighty. Building
faith in the heart is not easy; however, the one who insists on
knocking on the door will be let in eventually.
This is a modest attempt to help you on your way to strong faith,
which destroys the desire that may have humiliated you and caused you
to suffer one calamityafter another. It involves the following steps:
Strengthening one's fear of Allaah The Almighty
Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {But as for he who fearedthe
position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful]
inclination, Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.} [Quran
79:40-41] Fear of Allaah The Almighty is the real deterrent that
prevents you from falling into the clutches of desire, not just the
fear of scandal or thefear of diseases. In Madaarij As-Saalikeen,
Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim said, "When fear of Allaah dwells in the hearts,
it burns the places of desires in them." Below is a practical program
that helps to strengthen the fear of Allaah The Almighty in your
heart:
1. Remembering death often:
The more we remember death, the softer our hearts will be and the
greater will be their fear of meeting Allaah The Almighty. As we are
always committing sins and misdeeds, to remember death constantly, you
have to do the following:
- Visit the graves: Make a weekly plan or a plan every two weeks
tovisit the graves since visiting the graves reminds one of the
Hereafter. The Prophet said: "Ihad forbidden you to visit the graves;
now, you can visit them, for it softens the heart, makes eyes shed
tears, and reminds of the Hereafter." [Al-Albaani: Saheeh]
- Washing the dead and accompanying funerals: The sightof a dead body
being turned in the hands of the washer greatly softens the heart and
implants fear of Allaah The Almighty.
- Writing one's will and always looking at it: The Messenger of Allaah
said: "It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will
to stay for two nights without executing a written will with him."
[Al-Bukhaari] Writing a will and looking into it from time to time
keeps you mindful of death.
- Remembering the agonies of death and watching the dying people.
2. Writing down and counting your sins:
The Muslim remembers the sins that he has committed with his body. He
remembers the sins of the tongue, like backbiting and tale-bearing,
the sins of the eye like looking at what is prohibited, the sins of the
private parts like masturbation, etc., and the sins of the heart like
arrogance, pride, envy, and others. Thus, the Muslim should remember
his failure to carry out his religious duties and the rights of others
upon him, which include being dutiful to parents, maintaining kinship
ties and others. He shouldbring to mind his negligence in acts of
worship, such as lack of humbleness and concentration inworship,
abandoning voluntary acts of worship, and failing to attend
congregational and Friday prayers.
After you have written down these sins, also write down the blessings
of Allaah The Almighty that He has bestowed upon you. Then, make a
comparison between the blessings that Allaah The Almighty granted you
and the sins that you defy Him with night and day. This is sure to
fill your heart with fear of Allaah The Almighty, that He might punish
you for your sins.
Performing acts of worship regularly and perfectly
Faith requires words, deeds, and belief in the heart, and acts of
worship serve as the fuel of faith, which cause it to increase or
decrease. This is because faith increases by obedience and decreases
by disobedience.
This is a recommended schedule for acts of worship:
- Do not miss congregational prayers in the Masjid, especially the
Fajr prayer. This is a sure test of whether you can get rid of
thisproblem from your life. The moreyou perform the Fajr prayer at its
due time, the clearer it becomes that this problem is not deeply
rooted in you.
- Observe voluntary prayers after the obligatory ones. These voluntary
prayers are twelve Rak'ahs (units of prayer) every day and night,
guaranteeing the one who performs them a house in Paradise. They are
four Rak'ahsbefore the Dhuhr prayer and two after it, two after the
Maghrib prayer, two after the 'Ishaa' prayer, and two before the Fajr
prayer.
- You should perform the Witr prayer and voluntary prayers at night,
even if they are two short Rak'ahs.
- In all these prayers, always try to evoke the heart in prayer and
encourage your body to be humble as much as possible. Thisis because
prayers forbid immorality and bad conduct, and listening to a lecture
on humbleness and concentration inprayer may help with that.
- Give greater care to performing ablution and try to contemplate on
its inner dimensions. With every drop of water coming down from your
body, Allaah The Almighty forgives the sins committed by that part of
the body. Think, while performing ablution and with the water dripping
from your face, how Allaah The Almighty is forgiving your gazing at
and listening to things that are prohibited, and how He is forgiving
your watching pornographic movies or sites. When the water drips from
the fingers of your hands, Allaah The Almighty forgives you for all
the prohibited actions you did with them, whether they were
masturbation, browsing pornographic sites, or other sins that involve
your hands. When the water drips from your feet, Allaah The Almighty
forgives every place to which your legs moved to, for example to a
date with a girl, or to obtain a new lewd movie from an evil friend.
- Live in this state when you perform ablution and be completely
certain and expect everything good from Allaah The Almighty. If you
believe that He will forgive you, He, the Exalted, will certainly do
so. Allaah The Almighty Says in a Qudsi Hadeeth (sacred narration): "I
meet as much expectations of My Slave as he expects of Me (i.e. I am
Able todo for him what he expects I can do for him), and I am with him
when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me within himself, I will
remember him within Myself, and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I
will remember him ina better assembly. If he draws one span nearer to
Me, I will draw one Thiraa' (64 cm) nearer to him; and if he draws one
Thiraa' nearer to Me, I will draw the distance of two outstretched
arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I will go to him
running." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim (this is the narration of
Al-Bukhaari)] - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Draw Closer to Your Lord - II

- Keep reciting the morning and evening Athkaar (words of remembrance)
and remember Allaah The Almighty often in general. This is because if
the tongue is busy with the remembrance of Allaah The Almighty, it
will keep the mind and heart busy with it; thus, the Muslim will not
find time to thinkof something other than Allaah The Almighty.
- You should read a portion from the Quran every day with reflection
and humbleness, even if it is a single page.
- Start memorizing the Quran gradually; it is the best thing to help
you overcome this problem. This step is also one of the most important
signs of success of the cure, like performing the Fajr prayer. If you
find yourself memorizing the Book of Allaah The Almighty easily,
without difficulty, this is also an indication that desire does not
control your heart. This has happened to a large number of young
people.
- Supplicate Allaah The Almighty at all times. Allaah The Almighty
becomes angry with the Muslim who does not supplicate Him. Saythe
following blessed supplication that the Prophet used to say as much as
you can. He would say : "Allaahumma inni as'aluk Al-huda wat-tuqa
wal-'afaafa wal-ghina (O Allaah, I ask You for guidance, piety,
chastity, and self-sufficiency.)" [Muslim]
- You must give charity, particularly giving charity in secret as it
extinguishes the anger of Allaah The Almighty. Give charity every day;
it does not necessarily have to be a large sum, but give it according
to yourcapacity. Perhaps one Dirham of such charity may outweigh one
thousand Dirhams.
- Fasting every Monday and Thursday. The Prophet said:"O youth,
whoever among you who can afford the expenses of marriage let him
marry, and whoever does not afford it let him fast, for it is a shield
for him." [Al-Bukhaari] However, let your fasting be 'real' in order
to achieve the effect mentioned by the Prophet in the Hadeeth that
fasting would be a shield and a means of protection and prevention for
you.
True fasting is not only abstaining from food and drink, but also
abstaining from lust, sins, and misdeeds throughout the fasting
period. Do not say, "I am fasting", when you do not feel something is
changing in you. The problem here is not in the fasting itself; the
problem is with you. The same thing happened with the Prophet when a
man came to him and said, "My brother has a stomach ache." The Prophet
said to him: "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time
and said, "The honey increased his stomach pain." The Prophet said the
same thing to him. This happened three times and the fourth time, the
Prophet said: "Let him drink honey." The man replied, "The honey
increased his stomach pain." The Prophet then said: "Allaah hassaid
the truth, but your brother's stomach has told a lie." So, he made him
drink honey and he was cured. [Muslim]
Attachment to the Hereafter:
Free yourself from the capture and constraints of this life and rush
to Paradise that is as wide as the heavens and the earth which
contains all that the souls desire and delights the eyes, and in which
you will abide eternally. Indeed, it is folly to sell gold for dust,
and to sell the beautiful Hoors (celestial maidens), who have not been
touched by humans or Jinns, for a woman, no matter how beautiful she
is inthis worldly life. Now come with me and enjoy listening to the
Hoors, of whom the Prophet said: "The wives of people of Paradise sing
to their husbands in the best voice one has ever heard. Their songs
include: 'We are good and beautiful, the spouses of noble people; and
look with comfortable eyes.' Theyalso sing, saying, 'We are immortal
and never die; we are secured and never fear; we are those who abide
with their husbands and never leave them.'" [At-Tabaraani (Al-Albaani:
Saheeh)]
Dear brother and sister, listen to the description of Al-Hoor by Imaam
Ibn Al-Qayyim where he says, "When she appears the beauty of her face
shines like the sun, and light shines from between her teeth if she
smiles. When she meets her beloved husband, then say whatever you will
regarding the meeting of two lights! When she talks to him, what do
you think the conversation of two lovers wouldbe? When he embraces
her, whatdo you think the embracing of two branches would be like? If
she were to be revealed upon theworldly life, she would fill what
isbetween the heavens and the Earth with a beautiful scent, and the
creatures would not help glorifying, praising and exclaiming the
greatness of the Creator, and everything between the East and the West
would be adorned for her, and every eye would be shut from everything
but her, and the light of the sun would be outshone, just as the light
of the sun outshines the light of the stars, and everyone on the face
of the earth would believe in the Ever-Living, the One Who sustains
and protects all that exists.
"The cover on her head is better than the world and all that is in it,
and her contact with him is more pleasant than her best wishes. She
does not increase with age except in beauty and with living except in
love and union. She is free from pregnancy, childbirth and menses, and
pure of mucous, saliva, urine, stool and other filthy things. Her
youth never fades and her clothing is never worn out. The garment of
her beauty is not ragged, nor does the sweetness of her companionship
become boring. Her affection is restricted to her husband, so she
desires none buthim, just as his affection is restricted to her so she
is the sole object of his desire and wish. She pleases him when he
looks ather; she obeys him when he orders her; she guards his honor
when he is away from her. He is with her in utmost safety and
security, as none has touched herbefore of either humans or Jinn.
Whenever he looks at her, she fills his heart with happiness; whenever
she talks to him, she fills his ears with eloquent and well-versed
words as beautiful asa chain of pearls; when she appears, she fills
the palace and room with light; when she sings, she is a delight to
the sight and hearing; when she amuses and entertains, how great the
amusement and entertainment are; and when she kisses, nothing is more
desirous to him than this kissing."
After all of this, you allow a soul which is a persistent enjoiner of
evil or a weak devil to make you attached to a passing desire and
transient pleasure and to give up all this beauty! Respected brother,
be sure that the more your faith increases in your heart, the weaker
the power of sexual desire will be over you. Therefore, have
determination and perseverance, for, by Allaah, therecertainly is no
better endeavor you do than the endeavor to draw close to Allaah The
Almighty and attain His pleasure. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Dought & Clear, - How can the daughtersof the deceased be giventheir shares of the inheritance fifteen yearsafter the death of their father?.

If the daughters share is not paid and has been delayed for 15 yrs
since the demise of the father.Do we have to calculate the share based
upon the value at the time of demise of the father or ithas to be
calculated based upon the present value?
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
It is obligatory to give each person who is entitled his share of the
inheritance in accordance with the laws of Allah regarding division of
the estate. Ownership of the estate passes to the heirs as soon as the
deceased dies. It says in al-Mawsoo'ah al-Fiqhiyyah (24/76):
Thefuqaha' are unanimouslyagreed that the estate passes to the heirs,
if there are no debts connected to it, from themoment the deceased
dies. End quote.
Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The wealth passes to the heirs after the death of the deceased.
End quote from Fataawa Noor 'ala ad-Darb, 12/360
Secondly:
If the daughters of the deceased were prevented from obtaining their
rightful share of the inheritance throughout this time, if the estate
includes cash, they should take their share of the money as the
deceased left it, unless the one who kept the money used it to do
business with it or invested it, in which casethey are entitled to
take their share of the profits on that money, commensurate with their
shares of the inheritance.
If the estate was property or land, then they should take their share
of that, according to the shares allocated insharee'ah. If it is not
possible to divide it among all the heirs, and they need to sell it,
or some of the heirs need to sell any of their shares, then they may
take their share on the basis of the current price, even if it is
greaterthan its price on the day it was usurped, or if it grew or
developed, as inthe case of livestock, crops and the like, regardless
of whether that growth is connected to the original property or not.
Shaykh Zakariyya al-Ansaari (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The transgressor is responsible for the original property and whatever
results from it of additional entities, such as offspring and crops,
because he seized the original property unlawfully.
End quote from Asna al-Mataalib, 2/340
If any part of it has been damaged or destroyed, such as if there has
beenany depreciation in its value since the time when it was usurped,
then the usurper must give those who have a rightful share what they
are entitled to, along with compensation for the depreciation in its
value.
Al-Husni (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It should be noted that
justas it is obligatory to return the usurped property, it is also
obligatory to give compensation for any depreciation in value; it
makes no difference whether it was partially damaged or completely
destroyed.
An example of depreciation in value is if the usurper confiscated a
plump animal, which then became lean, then grew fat again. He has to
return it along with compensation for the first loss of fatness,
because the second timeit grew fat is something else altogether. And
analogies may be drawnfrom this.
An example of complete destruction or loss is if the usurper
confiscated a pair of slippers worth ten dirhams, then lost one of
them, and the value of the remaining slipper is two dirhams. In this
case he is liable for the value of the lost slipper, which is five
dirhams, as well as compensation for the depreciation in value of the
remaining slipper, which is three dirhams, so he is liable for eight
dirhams, because the depreciation in value of one of them resulted
from the loss of the other.
End quote from Kifaayat al-Akhyaar, 1/283. See also Asna al-Mataalib,
2/344; Mataalib Ooli an-Nuha, 4/10ff.
Under the same heading of loss of value due to damage or complete
destruction we may include a drop in the price or value of the item
because of a drop in its marketability compared to the day on which it
was seized; the usurper is also liable for that according to the
correct opinion.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This usurper kept the item away from its rightful owner until its
price dropped, so he is a wrongdoer. The drop in price is in fact a
kind of damage, because the price reflects the value of the item.
Hence the correct view is that if theprice drops, then the usurper is
liable for the depreciation in value. Sowe say that he must return the
item to its rightful owner, along with compensation for the
depreciation in its value.
End quote from ash-Sharh al-Mumti', 10/163. See also Kifaayatal-Akhyaar, 1/283
What the one who has committed any of these wrong actions, or usurped
the rights of others, or delayed it in such a way that it causedhim
harm or made him miss out on making profits, must do is returnit to
its rightful owner and repent to Allah, may He be exalted, from that
sin.
Al-Bukhaari (2449) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased
with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah
be upon him) said: "Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his
honour or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today, before
(the Day when) there will be no dinars or dirhams, and ifhe has any
good deeds to his credit, they will betaken from him commensurate with
the wrong that he did, and if he does not have any good deeds to his
credit, bad deeds will be taken from his companion (i.e.,the one whom
he wronged) and added to his burden."And Allah knows best. - -

Dought & Clear, - She does not have a place to live; where should she observe ‘iddah following khula‘?.

If a Lady want khula from her husband and her parents are not
supporting her on that decision.and she has notintercourse with her
husband over a year.if she took Khula from her husband.and she has no
place to live for 3 months to spend her iddah. Her husband after khula
and her parents are not willing to keep her because they were against
her decision of khula and no one in relative is willing her to stay
with them.if she recieve a marriage proposal from another guy my
question is that in this hard time when she has no place to go.Can she
marry again with another man without sitting in iddah and spend 3
months without having any sexual relation with him in his house?
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
There is a difference of scholarly opinion concerning the length
of'iddah following khula'. What we state in our fatwas on this website
isthat it is one menstrual cycle, as explained previously in the
answerto question no. 5163
If the woman menstruates following khula' then becomes pure, then her
'iddah has ended and it is permissible for her to get married; she
does not have to complete three months or three menstrual cycles
according to this opinion.
Secondly:
It is not permissible for the woman to get married during the 'iddah
at all, not under any circumstances, whether the husband consummates
the marriage with her or not. If this marriage contract is done, then
it is invalid and haraam, because Allah, may He beexalted, says
(interpretation of the meaning):
"… nor resolve on the tieof marriage till the term prescribed is fulfilled."
[al-Baqarah 2:235]
i.e., do not do the marriage contract with awoman who is observing
'iddah until her 'iddah has ended.
Ibn Katheer said: The scholars are unanimously agreed that the
marriage contract during the 'iddah is not valid.
End quote from Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 1/640
Ibn Qudaamah said: If (a man) marries a woman who is still observing
'iddah, and they are both aware of the 'iddahand the prohibition on
marrying during the 'iddah, and he has intercourse with her, then they
are zaanis (fornicators).
End quote from al-Mughni, 8/127
Thirdly:
The basic principle is that the woman who is irrevocably divorced or
separated by means of khula' should observe 'iddah in her family's
house. If that is not possible, then she may spend the 'iddah period
in any accommodation where she will be safe.
If her (ex-)husband givesher permission to stay intheir marital home
until the 'iddah ends, there is nothing wrong with her staying there,
on condition that she is safefrom him and has accommodation that is
completely separate from him.
Ibn Qudaamah said: The woman who is irrevocably separated bymeans of
annulment or divorce (talaaq) may observe the 'iddah wherever she
wants.

Islamic Stories, - Buy a kingdom for a glass of water

Once Sheikh Ibne Sammak (may Allah havemercy on him) paid a visit to a
king. It so chanced that, when the Sheikh greeted him, the king was
holding a glass of water in his hand. He said to the Sheikh, "Give me
a word of advice." The Sheikh said,"Suppose you could have this glass
of water only at the cost of your entire kingdom and you have to
choose between dying of thirst or giving your kingdom away, which one
would you prefer?" The king replied, "I would naturally prefer a glass
of water and part with my entire kingdom." TheSheikh said, "Then, I do
not understand why anyone should take joy in a kingdom which is worth
only a glass of water."

Islamic Stories, - The amazing feet

I have heard the following story from an Islamic Scholar. Hopefully,
it will be beneficial for all of us.
When a child is born, he or she usually gets some characteristics and
features from his or her parents or from other family members from the
past. For example, our eyes, ears, nose or some other organs of the
body may resemble that of our parents or forefathers. There was a
group of people in Arabia who had the knowledge of this particular
science, that isthey could tell who the baby resembles. When Prophet
Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) was still a baby, his
grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, took himto his lap and was greeting those
who came for Pilgrimage (Hajj). That specific group of people was also
present and while going around the Kabah they would stare at the feet
of young Prophet Muhammad (SAW). After going around few times, they
came to Abdul Muttalib and said that they have never seen any other
baby whose feet resemble the feet ofProphet Ibrahim (AS). Only the
feet of young Prophet Muhammad (SAW) resemble them. The footprint of
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) is preservedand placed beside Kabah. - -
