*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Da'eef (weak) hadeeths, Dought & clear, - * False Hadeeth With the Title “Would that it had been new... would that it had been far... would that it had been complete”

One of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on his deathbed, and he spoke three phrases: “Would that it had been new”. He slept briefly then woke up and said “Would that it had been far.” He slept briefly and woke up and said: “Would that it had been complete.” After that his soul departed. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to ask him about these words. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “One day this man was walking and he had an old garment with him. He came across a poor person who was complaining about the bitter cold, so he gave him the garment. As he was dying, he saw a palace in Paradise, and the Angels of death said to him: ‘This is your palace.’ He said: ‘For which deed of mine is it?’ They said to him: ‘Because one night you gave the garment in charity to a poor person.’ The man said, ‘It was old and worn out. What would it have mattered to us if it had been new? Would that it had been new.’ One day he was going to the mosque, and he saw a paralyzed man who wanted to go to the mosque, so he carried him to the mosque. When he was dying, he saw a palace in Paradise, and the Angels of death said to him: ‘This is your palace.’ He said: ‘For which deed of mine is it?’ They said to him: ‘Because you carried a paralyzed man to pray in the mosque.’ The man said: ‘The mosque was nearby. What would it have mattered to us if it had been far away? Would that it had been far away.’ One day he was walking and he had with him part of a round of bread. He came across a poor person who was hungry, so he gave him a piece of it. When he was dying, he saw a palace in Paradise. The Angels of death said to him: This is your palace. He said: ‘For which of my deeds is it?’ They said to him: ‘Because you gave in charity part of a round of bread to a poor person.’ The man said: ‘It was part of a round. What would it have mattered to us if it had been complete? Would that it had been complete.’
I want to know whether this is a hadeeth (prophetic narration) and whether it is saheeh (authentic), because I cannot reply to these words until I am certain whether it is sound or not. May Allah reward you with the highest Firdaws (Paradise).

Praise be to Allaah
The words mentioned in the question are not a hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and they are not the words of any of the Sahabah (Companions) or Tabi’een (Successors). In fact, in our research we did not find it in any of the books of the scholars, classical or modern, saheeh or da’eef (weak). It is most likely to be one of the fabrications that are in circulation among people. Perhaps some of the later writers fabricated it and attributed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and how many such reports there are nowadays, and Allah is the one whose help we seek. Many people have had the audacity to commit this grave and major sin, the sin of fabricating hadeeths and falsely attributing them to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
What every Muslim must do is be aware of these fabricated reports, and strive to warn people against them, and not help to spread them. Rather they must help to erase them from gatherings and chat rooms, and replace them with the many sound hadeeths which encourage giving charity and being kind to the poor and needy.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is sufficient lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears.” Narrated by Muslim in the Introduction to his Saheeh.
And Allah knows best.

Da'eef (weak) hadeeths, Dought & clear, - * Ignoring a Person Who Offends You 100 Times

One year ago I asked a question to someone which I shouldn’t have asked and the person didn’t like it and decided not to talk with me or talk less. One year later I found out the reason was this and that’s why she wasn’t talking to me. I asked her why, she said the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said if someone hurts you in any way then ignore them 100 times. Is this correct? Can you explain what the saying is and if it’s a strong hadeeth (narration), and if she did the right thing?
-
Praise be to Allaah
We have not come across any hadeeth with this meaning, and we do not think that it is saheeh (authentic) or acceptable. There are many saheeh hadeeths (authentic narrations) which warn the Muslim against forsaking or ignoring his fellow Muslim. There are also many verses and hadeeths which encourage forgiving mistakes, overlooking faults and forgiving brothers and friends if they make any mistake. So how can a hadeeth which encourages forsaking a Muslim for no legitimate reason be saheeh?
Ameer al-Mumineen, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
It is not permissible for a Muslim who hears a word from his brother to think badly of it when he can find something good about it.
Al-Tamheed by Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr (18/20).
Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays said: The right of a friend is that three things should be put up with from him: offences when he is angry, offences due to familiarity and offences made in error. Someone else said: I never reviled anyone, because if a dignified person reviled me, it is more incumbent on me to adopt a forgiving attitude towards him, and if an ignoble person reviled me, I would not give him any extra reason to insult my honour.
See: Ihya ‘Uloom al-Deen (2/183-186).
You should understand that one of the greatest aims of the accursed shaytan (devil) and one of his worst tricks is to instill resentment and enmity among Muslims.
It was narrated that Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Shaytan has despaired of being worshipped by the worshippers in the Arabian Peninsula, but his aim is to create troubles among them.”
Hence Allah has forbidden everything that may lead to enmity and resentment among the Muslims. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Shaytan wants only to incite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from as‑salah (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?” [5:91]
You can read the hadeeths which criticize the one who forsakes another in the book of al-Imam al-Mundhiri entitled al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb (3/304). In it he has a chapter entitled: Warning against forsaking one another, bearing grudges against one another and turning away from one another, in which he compiled most of what is narrated in the sunnah on this topic.
And Allah knows best.
