*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Dua'a Jawshan Al Kabir

دعاء الجوشن الكبير
Im portance of Joshn Kabir - Pdf . . I t has been mentioned in the
book, Balad al-Am i n and the Mi sbah of Kafa`m i that I m a m `Al i
ibn al- H usain Sayyid as-S a jjid i n (prayers be upon him) related
from his father from his grandfather the Prophet of All a h(blessings
of All a h be upon him and his family) that this supplication was
taught by the Angel Jibra' i l (prayers be upon him) to the Prophet
(blessings of All a h be upon him and his family) during one of the
battles. It was in one of the wars that the Prophet (blessings of All a
h be upon him and his family) had taken part in which he had a very
heavy and expensive coat of armor on to protect himself. It is related
that the coat was so heavy that it was hurting the body of the Prophet
(prayers of All a h be upon him and his family). In this state, the
Angel Jibra' i l (prayers be upon him) came to the Prophet (blessings
ofAll a h be upon him and his family) and said: "O' Mu h ammad!Your
Lord conveys his salutations to you and has said to take this coat of
armor (Jawshan) and to recite it as this is a protection for you and
your Ummah .

Story -, Moons Peak [FINISHED]- Sacred Oath (chapter 28)

THE WAY SATCHELS' jaw tensed as he mulled over Cairo's words made me nervous.
An alarming dread of unease washed over me as I stared across the
yard. The full weight of expectation threatened to drown me, under the
watchful eyes of every wolf. It made me uncomfortable, making me even
more on edge since discovering this turn of events. Satchel's recovery
had soon been forgotten in each of theirstares, but not to me. Seeing
him, only ignited a flame I thought had dimmed when I saw him lying in
that gurney all those weeks ago. I'd never thought I'd live to see the
day that Satchel will be up, walking around, with no care in the
world. In fact, I'd gone over every possible scenario, picturing this
very day when Satchel woke up from his slumber, but never in a
thousand years did I think of this.
Satchel looked like he'd lost a few pounds, but hewas still bigger
than mostof the guys here, and his shoulders were squared off all the
same, warring off any threat that those wolves may pose. He never let
his guard down, and I felt comforted by that fact. For mine and
Derryn's sake.
Cairo made no move to shift from his position, and neither did any of
the others that lined the forest. I was consciously aware of the way
his eyes raked over me, and then over at Satchel, keeping his steer
neutral as he flicked them besideme at Derryn.
I watched Satchel clutch his cane, as he walked briskly toward the
forest, making sure his limp didn't impair him of any weakness. I made
a moveto follow him, but one look of warning in those light green eyes
of his, and I stopped in my tracks. Stunned motionless. If not for the
fact that he could manage on his own, but for the instinctual order
that his eyes sent to my inner wolf.
Stay! It was demanding, pleading with conviction. What I saw deep in
the hollow of his stare was protection, and a direct order that I had
no choice but to abide by. And that's when I knew that even though I
wouldhave accepted Satchel as a mate eventually, today I'd formally
accepted himas my Alpha male...with witnesses, by bowing my head a
little in submission.
Derryn ambled up beside me, and I was startled out of my gaze from
Satchel as she clutched the sides of my arms, threading her arms
through them, as she peered over at what was unfolding in front of
her. Her eyes mirroring my own curiosity.
Satchel's attention divided between us, keeping his stance as some
kind of physical sign of protection, a human barricade that warned the
pack that there was no going past that point, unless they wanted to
lose a paw.
Satchel addressed Cairo with a furrowed brow. "What makes you think I
want that responsibility?"
"I know a leader when I see one."
It seemed like that was a lot harder to say, as his brown eyes
narrowed slightly. I wondered whathe was playing at.
"You expect me to believe that you came all this way, to swear
allegiance to someone whom you'd rather see dead, than to follow
orders?"
The slight nod from Cairo sent my nerves buzzing, as Satchel dared a
foot closer, so that they were separated by stray pine needles and a
breath of air.
"Killing your brother wasn't an accident," Satchel boomed, and the way
he said it with pride made me shudder, as he continued, "and if I had
the luxury of doing it again, I would. You don't owe me any favors,
and if I didn't know any better, you're here to avenge him." It wasn't
a question I noticed, it was more of a statement of truth than
anything. Cairo didn't flinch, his voice ever so clear of what he
wanted.
The muscles at Cairo's jawclenched, as he said,"Trench fought a fair
fight, and he knew what he was getting himself into. It was his
arrogancethat killed him, and that'sa price he had to pay."
"You speak of him so dearly," Satchel said, sarcasm dripping in
tow."But I have neither the means to trust you, nor do I have the
energy for keeping you alive. If I remember correctly but wasn't it
you who'd put apermanent mark on my baby sister?"
I heard Derryn growl a little in annoyance, and I knew it was at the
remark of calling her a baby. She hated that. Satchel sent an
apologetic look back her way. "My sister, Derryn," he corrected. "She
smells of you, and it's no secret that she's been through her
transition, already." His hands fisted into two large balls, clenching
andunclenching as he glared at Cairo.
I tensed as he brought Derryn's transition up, and the vivid memory of
seeing her so vulnerable made me angry at Cairo for putting her
through that.
Cairo followed his gaze, and Derryn narrowed hereyes, ducking her head
behind me.
"I panicked, it was a spur of the moment thing when I marked her," he
said, bowing his head lower in submission. "ButI never scratched her,
or bit her, I swear."
Satchel tilted his head, and spared me a glance over with a frown. The
steady hum of Cairo's heart made the truth of his words palpable. If
nothim, then whom? I silently wondered.
I felt Derryn tense beside me. "It's true," Derryn said, as she spoke
up. Satchel and I gave her a questioning look, and she started chewing
on little strands of her curls, noticing that her hair had grown
longer.
She sighed. "Sheeba and mama were fighting, andI tried to stop them,
but I couldn't. I got in the way when Sheeba accidently scratched me."
I kissed the top of Derryn's head, I too had thought Cairo had scratched her.
Satchel seemed to believe her, and turned toward Cairo.
"The last time you tried to recruit me, you wanted Sheeba to mother my spawn."
"That was then, this is now. Beside's, whether you like it or not,
being apart of a pack is what you've wanted for a long time."
He seemed to consider this. "How do I know you're serious about all of this?"
Cairo smiled. "By blood ofthine blood," he murmured, unsheathing a
hunters knife from his belt where animal skin covered his waist, as he
sliced a long cut diagonally down his palm. Blood oozed from the
wound, as he passed the knife to the next male, as he did the same.
Together the whole pack started murmuring, and chanting the same
thing. "Blood of thine blood, a tie of thy oath, of blood we shall
share, with blood of mine brothers. As our moon mother bearwitness, we
kneel before our leader...our loyalty, protection, and allegiance we
brand."
"A night before the full moon, a new Alpha shall take stand," Satchel
muttered, finishing it off.
I blinked as I heard a gasp coming from Derryn. I knelt down to her
level, and frowned. "What's the matter?"
"The Sacred Oath, he's swearing allegiance by the Sacred Oath. He's
dead serious about this," Derryn whispered.
I looked from Cairo to Satchel, and by the looks of either of them,
they seemed to come to an understanding.
The sound of tires skidding on gravel pierced my ears, and I realized
that I was more attuned to my inner wolf, than I realized. I noticed
seconds later that every one else heard it too.
"Go," he said to Cairo anda few seconds later. The pack left, but
Cairo hovered to stay behind. Satchel looked back and frowned.
"Full moon tonight, you know where to find us. Oh, and you might want
to keep the blue coats away." He nodded in the far distant. I
squinted, watching the carriage ascending the long driveway up ahead,
where dust kicked under the tires.
Satchel cursed lightly, his face a picture of frustration. The thought
of a full moon tonight made me shiver. I didn't know what to expect,
all I knew from what stories Derryn had been keepingme uptodate with,
was that the sign of a full moon wasn't a good one,and something I
wasn't looking forward to, as I eyed the two officers that came out of
the carriage.
"Black Wolf?"
Satchel and I turned at the sound of Cairo. "Yeah."
"You owe me."
A silent promise passed between the two, and seconds later, he
disappeared through the brush. Satchel's eyes remained on the forest,
and it took a few tries to get his attention as I called his name.
His snapped to focus a second later, when two officers approached us.
The officer came forward, I recognized him as the baldheaded officer
from months ago when he'd questioned me about Peter. The hot prick of
fear slithered up my spine at that small realization. Peter. They must
have a lead on whathappened to him. I stole a fearful glance at
Satchel, and his cool bravado had already been painted on. I tried to
ignore the frantic beatof my heart, and gulped. Managing a forceful
smile as I felt Satchel's hand squeeze mine.
"Mr. Heins, long time no see. Y'all been staying outof trouble?" I
didn't like the way this officer was looking, and the tangy accent
that dripped from his tongue suggested he was a local. I frowned,
stealing a glance back at Satchel, and I noticed his jaws tensing.
That's when I knew there was some history between the two, and the
silent venom that seeped from Satchel's stare made me think it wasn't
a good one.
"No trouble from me, Officer," Satchel said a little bitter.
"That's good to hear, son."
Satchel's jaw ticked at the word 'son'.
The officer seemed to just notice me, and small light flickered in his
eyes as he did so. "We meet again, Miss Garrison. Niceto see you."
I narrowed my eyes on him, astonished that he'dremembered my last name.
"I wish I could say the same about you."
He fished out a notice, ignoring my comment, and handed it to me.
"What's this?" Satchel and I asked in unison.
"Oh, the warrant you wanted to see. It explainsthat I have free range
to search the property."
Satchel looked over my shoulder, and read the first few lines out
loud. I cursed silently, hoping those guys had left the perimeter. I
didn't want to have them wondering what a bunch of males would be
doing running half naked about, in my backyard.
"What's this all about?" Satchel asked a second later.
"A missing person's case landed on my desk three months ago, a student
Peter Maverick never made it home to his mother, and I'm here to see I
take care of that."
"What makes you think you'll find him here?" My voice raising a few
octaves high, I was nervous now. The officer gave me a derisive snort,
as he hoisted up his hip, to fish out the familiar photo of my ex
boyfriend, that was soon to haunt me again. He flashed it in my face
again, as if I hadn't gotten a full view of it before, and I tried my
hardest to hide the panic attack that was soon going to drown me if he
didn't put it away. Pale light blonde hair, spiky and unruly, with
blue eyes that always use to make me feel inferior. I averted my eyes
away, swallowing my fear down in gulps.
"The last time he was seen or heard from, was the night he took a
hunting trip up here from New York. His mother said he was probably
here visiting a girlfriend." His eyes flickered at me again, in a
silent form of entrapment, and then he brandished me with a smirk.
"Miss Willow Garrison, school captain cheerleader, and girlfriend of
Mr. Peter Maverick, ring any bells?"
If my heart could beat any faster, it would be doing the tango, and then some.
"I told you before, we broke up as soon as I moved here. He didn't
come to see me, and I didn't want to see him."
"That's funny, because a witness told me that you were jealous of him
spending too much time with other girls, and you flipped, threatening
to kill him."
I frowned. That was a conversation I'd had withPeter over the phone,
and I didn't actually mean I'd kill him for real. They were just
words, shot at him with anger. Impotent threats I would never
complete, I doubt it Peter would have thought them any serious. I bit
my lips, regarding the officer. He'd said a witness told him. The only
other person who'd been in on that conversation was mybest friend.
"Veronica," I bit out. The one who'd so conveniently picked up Peter's
phone. I grated my teeth in anger. This was her doing. She was trying
to destroy me, andI wasn't going to stand here and take it.
"Excuse me?"
"Veronica. She's the witness who told you that, isn't she?"
"I'm sorry, but names of witnesses are a breach ofconfidentiality."
"Right, well you tell this witness of yours, to get over her self. If
anything, she was jealous of me."
"Who's this she you're referring to?"
I rolled my eyes. Like he didn't know. "Veronica Steele. The one who'd
been sleeping with Peter behind my back. Your mystery witness."
"Do you have proof of any of that?"
"Well, no. But I know a slut when I see one."
"I'll need you to calm down, Miss."
I nodded, taking another breath.
He eyed me warily. "When was the last time you saw Peter Maverick?"
"The day I left New York."It was a lie, but I couldn't exactly say I'd
seen him in the forest as a wolf, so I made sure to tread carefully on
the topic. Satchel had been in his wolf form too when he'd killed
Peter, and it was a form of self-defense. But saying that to the
officer wasn't going to help his case, and neither would it keep my
sanity intact if I did so.
"So, you won't mind letting us take a look around, then?" The officer
flicked his chin around the estate in question, and I rubbed my arms,
searching for comfort. "I guess I have no choice, but to."
The instant warmth of Satchel's hand, as he hugged me into his side,
planting a kiss on the topof my head.
The officer and the man in a suit regaled through the estate, taking a
walk over the property with their eyes aware of everydetail. A sound
of a camera shudder snapped, and I realized now that the man in the
suit was a photographer.
"What are you taking photo's of?"
"Animal paw-prints, you should see about getting this place fenced
off, keep the dogs out."
I snorted. The only dogs I intend to keep out are you guys. But I
didn't say that.
***
They found nothing useful in the backyard, oranything in the house,
but the suspicious look the officer had on his face, said he was
determined, and persistent. His eyes saying that this wasn't going to
be last time I seehim, and I shuddered.
"We're going to send a search party out in the woods while it's still
daylight, I suggest you folks stay out of there between the hours from
now 'til sundown. We don't want to shoot anybody by accident." The
perverse smirk on hisface made it look like a sick dare of some sort.
"Sure."
"You folks have a good day now." He mock saluted, and smirked, "We
will find what we're looking for."
"I hope you do." And I really meant that. I didn'tknow what had
happened to Peter, all of the details were a little hazy from that
night. All I remember was waking up in Satchel's arms.
We watched them leave down the dirt road, and Ilet out a sigh of
relief when they did. My hands were a little shaky, and I had to force
my heart to slow its roll.
Satchel pulled me into hisembrace, and I welcomedit with glee. The
instant smell of pine, and sandalwood wafted through my nose, as I
pressed my face into his chest. My insides warmedin delight, and I
didn't realize how long it had been since I'd felt his arms around me.
So familiar, yet so strange. He seemed a little too tense, I noticed.
"You okay?" he whispered into my hair. I nodded, shifting my headso
that I could see him better. "Yeah."
I frowned when his attention was back on the pine trees. His jaw
ticking as he clenched and unclenched. He mademe nervous.
"Everything okay?"
"Fine." Though the note in his voice clearly didn't sound like it.
"Satchel, tell me."
He considered this, as his green eyes roamed my face. He sighed,
finally, running his hands through his hair, only to drop his hat in
the process. I bent to pick it up when otherwise would have struggled,
and handed it back to him.
"You've got that look on your face."
He seemed to frown at that. "What look?"
"The look that scares the hell out of me, sometimes, like something's
going to happen, and our lives areat risk, again."
"It's a full moon tonight,"he supplied. I got that much, but I didn't
know what the big deal was.
"I heard you, but what's got you on edge?"
"Our moon mother is at her peak, which means by sundown, the Full Moon
will hit."
"I still don't understand. You said the Full Moon was just like any
other time we change. No big deal right?" I must have had confusion
written onmy face, because he decided to scrub his hands down his
face, andthen shake his head.
"It's a big deal, because tonight, our pack will recognize me as Alpha
under the Moon Mother's eyes." He clenched his jaw again, as I mulled
over this new information.
"Which we change right?"
He nodded. "But it's nothing like when we change on our own free will.
Our moon mother forces the change...and..."
He let that sentence hangin the air like the pine scent that lingered
in the forest.
"And what?"
"Our thoughts completelychange too."
"What do you mean? Likeit makes us think different?"
He started biting the curve of his lips. "Our wolf instincts are
silent, because our basic humanthoughts and emotions drown them out.
We're able to think like humanswhen we're going through our
transition. But under the Full Moon, when she's as close to her zenith
as she's going to be tonight, well everything changes. Our wolf
instinct is awakened, and all human thoughts are dissipated..."
"Thus, making us animals," I supplied. The instant nod confirmed as
much. And I didn't know what to say. And for the first time since I'd
changed into this very being, I knew why Gramsthought of us as
monsters. Because we became monsters under the full moon. Nausea soon
swept through my mind, making me dizzy.
"I think I need to lie down."

Jinn, witchcraft ,evil eye -, Fighting witchcraft with witchcraft to solve marital problems.

What is your advice to one who fights witchcraft with witchcraft in
order to solve marital problems?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
Curing a person who have been bewitched or had a spell cast on him, if
it done by permissible means, comes under the heading of the treatment
of sickness and disease. It is one of the best of deeds if one seeks
the pleasure of Allaah thereby, especially if that is also for the
purpose of solving marital or family problems.
There are two scenarios that may apply in curing one who has been bewitched:
1 – Lifting the spell by means of further witchcraft, where the
practitioner of witchcraft and the sick person seek to draw close to
the jinns and devils in order to cure the spell. This is haraam and it
is a great evil and the work of the Shaytaan, as it says in Musnad
Ahmad (3/294) and Sunan Abi Dawood (3868), where it is narrated that
Jaabir ibn 'Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was
asked about nushrah, and he said, "It is the work of the Shaytaan."
Classed assaheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 3868.
Nushrah means curing a person who has been bewitched. What is referred
to here is the type of nushrah that wasused during the Jaahiliyyah,
which is curing witchcraft by means of witchcraft or by using the
services of the devils.
See al-Qawl al-Mufeed 'ala Kitaab al-Tawheed, by Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen
(may Allaah have mercy on him).
The way in which this hadeeth indicates that it is haraam is that the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described it as
being the work of theShaytaan, and whatever is the work of the
Shaytaan is haraam, for the Shaytaan enjoins evil, immorality and
saying of Allaah what one does not know.
2 – Lifting the spell by means of the ruqyahs and prayers for refuge
with Allaah that are prescribed in Islam, and using permissible kinds
of medicine. This is permissible and is a righteous deed for which a
person will be rewarded, so long as he observes the proper etiquette
of treatment and performing ruqyah. See question no. 12918 .
Secondly:
Our advice to the who uses witchcraft to fight witchcraft is to fear
Allaah and to hasten to repent from this action which poses a threat
to his religious commitment and his Islam, before the Angel of Death
comes down to him and catches him unawares, whereupon regret will be
to no availand there will be no turning back. The danger that
witchcraft poses to one's religious commitment is very real and very
serious. Allaah has told us in His Book that learning and teaching
witchcraft is kufr as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
"They followed what theShayaateen (devils) gaveout (falsely of the
magic)in the lifetime of Sulaymaan (Solomon). Sulaymaan did not
disbelieve, but the Shayaateen (devils) disbelieved, teaching men
magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels,
Haaroot and Maaroot, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone
(such things) till they had said,'We are for trial, so disbelieve not
(by learning this magic fromus).'"
[al-Baqarah 2:102]
So learning and teaching witchcraft constitutes kufr or disbelief in
Allaah. In al-Saheehayn it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah
be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) said: "Avoid the seven (sins) that doom a person to
Hell." They said: "O Messenger of Allaah, what are they?" He said:
"Associating others with Allaah (shirk), witchcraft, killing a soul
whom Allaah has forbidden killing, except in cases required by law,
consuming riba, consuming the orphan's wealth, running away from the
battlefield, and slandering chaste and innocent believing women."
These are all sins which will doom a person to Hell, so let this
practitioner of witchcraft beware of thewrath and punishment of
Allaah, for His punishment is painful and severe. Let him beware of
the traps of the Shaytaan who makesthis deed appear attractive and
makes him think that it is in theinterests of the Muslims and a
solution to their problems, until he drags him to Hell and causes him
to be thrown therein, what a terrible end. Beware, for the matter is
very serious, it is the matter of eternal bliss or eternal misery; we
seek refuge with Allaah from loss and utter misery.
Thirdly:
Our advice to the sick person who has been bewitched is to be patient
and seek rewardfrom Allaah. He should realize that this is a test
through which he may raise his status before Allaah if he is patient
and seeks reward. Al-Tirmidhi (2396) and Ibn Maajah (4031) narrated
from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The greatest reward
comes with the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a people He tests
them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent
with that earns His wrath." Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh
al-Tirmidhi, 2396.
He should depend on Allaah alone and put his trust in Him in all his
affairs, as well as following the means prescribed in sharee'ah and
the permissible practical means of treating his disease. He should
turn to Allaah and beseech Him with du'aa' at the end of the night,
and following each prayer, for Allaah isthe One who removes harm and
relieves distress. He is merciful toHis believing slaves and answers
the du'aa' of the one who is in difficulty.
"Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one,
when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you
inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any
ilaah (god) with Allaah? Little is that you remember!"
[al-Naml 27:62]
Let him beware of approaching the ways ofwitchcraft, soothsaying and
fortunetelling, for they are a disease and a malady which lead to
certain doom. In Saheeh Muslim (2230) it is narrated from one of
thewives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
thatthe Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Whoever goes to a fortune teller and asks him about anything, his
prayers will not accepted for forty days." In Musnad al-Imam Ahmad
(9252) it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah and al-Hasan (may Allaah be
pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: "Whoever goes to a soothsayer or a fortune teller and
believes what he says has disbelieved in that which was revealed to
Muhammad." Classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami',
5939. So let the Muslim beware of asking them about anything or
believing them, in obedience to Allaah and His Messenger(peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him), andso as to protect his religious
commitment and his belief ('aqeedah), and out of fear of the
punishment of Allaah, and so as to avoid the things that lead to shirk
and kufr, for whoever dies in a state of shirk or kufr willhave lost
in this world and in the Hereafter, and that is true loss.

Jinn, witchcraft ,evil eye -, Is urinary incontinence caused by the jinn, and what should he do whenpraying?.

I read one question about someone having trouble while making wudoo .I
have similar problem, or even worst. When ever I want to pray I feel
gas coming out of me, if I go to toiletfor urine I spend more than 30
min but urine and other liquid keep oncoming from my private part
during salaat I have excessive desire to go to toilet, I have to
repeat my ablution again and again this situation is really
embarrassing me, it makes salaat very difficult for me and this really
had affect my faith. I am sure is not a kind of illness because I have
seen many doctors but no improvement, and also this problem comes only
when I want to pray.
Some people said it could be a jinn which has entered my body.
Please tell me how can I do my salaat easily, can I pray more than one
salaat with the same wudoo even when thesethings are coming out ofme.
If this is cause by Jinn how can I get ride of it?
Praise be to Allaah.
Urinary incontinence and similar conditions where liquid etc, is
passed involuntarily and one cannot control it, should not be given
any attention, rather the person should pray according to his
situation, even if that liquid etc. is emitted during prayer, because
it is too difficult to avoidit. Allaah says (interpretation of the
meaning):
"and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship"
[al-Hajj 22:78]
But if he fears that his body or clothes may become contaminated, he
should wrap it (i.e. the private part) with a cloth or similar, and
prayafter doing wudoo', and he should not pay attention to anything
that comes out that he cannot control. This is anordinary kind of
sickness, which is very common, and it is not caused by the jinn.
Tahaarah (purity) is essential so you have to renew it (i.e., renew
wudoo') for each obligatory prayer.
Shaykh 'Abd al-Kareem al-Khudayr

Jinn, witchcraft ,evil eye -, How was the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) bewitched?.

How was the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) bewitched, when Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Allaah will protect you from mankind" [al-Maa'idah 5:67]?
How could he have beenbewitched when he was receiving Revelation from
His Lord and conveying that to the Muslims? How could he convey it if
he was bewitched, and the kaafirs and mushrikeen said:
"You follow none but a man bewitched"[al-Furqaan 25:8 – interpretation
of the meaning]
We hope that you could explain this and clear up these doubts.
Praise be to Allaah.
It was proven in a saheeh hadeeth that thiswitchcraft took place in
Madeenah, when the Revelation and the Message had become
well-established and clear, and after the evidence of Prophethood and
the truthfulness of the Message had been confirmed, and after Allaah
had supported HisProphet against the mushrikeen and humiliated them.
Then a Jewish person called Labeed ibn al-A'sam came to him and did
some kind of witchcraft against him, using a comb and the hairs
stuckto it and the skin of pollen of a male date palm. He – the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – started to
imagine that he had done something with his wife when he had not done
it, but his reason, feelings and ability to distinguish matters
remained with him with regard to the things he was telling thepeople,
praise be to Allaah. So he continued to speak to the people ofthe
truth which Allaah had revealed to Him. Buthe felt that something was
affecting him with regard to his wives, as 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be
pleased with her) said: "He used to imagine thathe had done something
in the house with his wife when he had not done it. So Revelation came
to him from his Lord via Jibreel (peace be upon him), telling him what
had happened. So he sent someone to take that thing [the material used
for witchcraft purposes] out of the well of one of the Ansaar, and he
destroyed it." Then the effects of that left him, praise be to Allaah,
and Allaah revealed to him the two soorahs of seeking refuge with
Allaah (al-Mi'wadhatayn,the last two soorahs of the Qur'aan). He
recited them and all harm left him. The Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) said: "Those who seek refuge can never seek
refuge with anything like them." Nothing resulted from this witchcraft
that could have harmed the people or undermined the Message or
Revelation. Allaah protected him from the people with regard to the
matter of receiving and conveying the Message.
But with regard to the kinds of harm that befellthe Messengers, he
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wasnot protected from
them, rather some such things befell him too. He was wounded on the
day of Uhud, and his helmet was smashed on his head and his cheek was
cut, some of the rings from his chain mailpierced his cheeks, he fell
in one of the holes that were there, and they subjected him to intense
persecution in Makkah. He suffered some of the things that the
Messengers before him had suffered, and that were decreed for him, by
means of which Allaah raised him in status and multiplied his hasanaat
(reward for good deeds). But Allaah protected him from them, so that
they were not able to kill him or to prevent him from conveying the
Message; they were not able to prevent him from fulfilling his
obligation to convey the Message, so he conveyed it and fulfilled the
mission withwhich he had been entrusted. May the peaceand blessings of
Allaah be upon him, and praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds.
See Majmoo' Fataawa wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwi'ah li Samaahat al-Shaykh

'You' and 'I': The Art of Communication in MaritalLife – II

There is a huge difference between a positive statement such as: "I
always look forwardto you returning home inthe evening to see you and
talk to you" , and a negative one such as: "You never care to listen
to me even when we meet in the evening."
The use of the pronoun"I" in conversation is more influential and more
effective than the use of the pronoun"you"; and "I" always reduces the
severity of what you want to say. Tryto compare the followingtwo
statements:
· "You don't care about the condition of the house" which is construed
by the listener to be an accusation of negligence.
· "I feel lonely when I am doing the housework", which means the wife
bears the responsibility for doing the housework even if she feels
lonely, and she does the housework alone.
Dear brothers and sisters:
When the spouses use the subjective pronoun "I" more often in their
dialogue, and include positive meanings in their words, their
relationship will improve immediately and noticeably, and they may
find solutions for their problems once they improve their manner of
conversation and dialogue.
It is true that it is not easy to start using the subjective pronoun
"I". This depends on the decision taken by each ofthe spouses to start
bearing responsibility fortheir feelings and needs, and expressing
themselves wisely. This requires the person to acquire a special skill
in the ability to talk about oneself.
The use of the subjective pronoun "I" means that one will no longer
use expressions such as: "You always…", "You never…","You make me
feel…", which will be replaced with such expressions as: "I feel… ",
"I wish…", "I do not want to...".
Three important words that help one acquire theskills of listening and
talking are: feelings, needs and wishes. These simple expressions: "I
feel" , "I need" , and "I wish" transmit to others what we like to say
about ourselves, and what we need from others to help us. For example,
we could say:
"I have been feeling so stressed out and tired lately."
"I need some rest."
"I wish you could understand what this means to me, so you could help
me find a way to rest."
What is more important is that a person speaks subjectively, and talks
about his own feelings briefly. It is difficult for some people to
acquire this skill; and they may need a lot of encouragement and
patience if they are slow in this respect.
In conclusion:
In this article, we have seen the means by which we can talk to each
othermore effectively. Thus, instead of blaming one another, by saying
"you" more than "I", it is important that one should talk positively
andsubjectively, i.e. about himself, by using the subjective pronoun
"I" more often. This helps us express our feelings, needs and wishes,
especially when learning the skills of listening and talking, and
keeping the channels of communication open with the other party.
Dear husband and wife,
The best way to practice the art of communicationis not to blame the
other by using "you", but instead, to try to use suchpositive words as
"I" to express our feelings, needs and wishes. An earnest attempt to
change what is said or done by the other party into something positive
can help one appreciate or, at least, understand them better.
For example, you could say, "I am sorry that things have been tough
and difficult for you lately", or you could interrupt the speech by
saying: "I can't express how happy I am that you are listening to me
like this! How comfortable this makes me feel!"
"I" is intended to express one's purpose:
We can express our purpose by using phrasesstarting with "I" such
as:"I want", "I mean", "I would like to", and "I intend to". When we
fail to express ourselves clearly, this failure leads to confusion and
ambiguity, for the other party would not understand our wishes and
purposes.
Choosing the right words:
Long-term relationships like marriage are characterized by habits that
may cause each of the spouses to be heedless of what they says to
their life partner, for each partner depends, in choosing words, on
habit rather than on conscious selection. Hence, words of
encouragement are lost and replaced with others that lead to tension
and discontentment.
The following are some of the negative frustrating expressions that
are often used: "You will never change" , "You're always cranky" ,
"You're wrong, and this is not the first time." We notice that "you"
is most often used to express negative words and emotions.
Examples of encouraging words and expressions are: "I love you" , "I
need you" , "I respect the way you handle matters. I likeit" , "Can I
help you?" We notice here that the word "I" is essential to
allpositive encouraging expressions.
Things to do:
1- Train yourself to use this manner of communication with your
husband this week, and remember to use "I" instead of "you", and use
your emotional intelligence in your reactions and dialogue with your
husband.
2- The use of "I" instead of "you" is one of the ways you can keep
communication open between you and your husband. It implies the
concept of bearing responsibility, and carriespositive meanings to
encourage the other party to continue with the dialogue.

'You' and 'I': The Art of Communication in MaritalLife – I

He said he was coming inten minutes' time. Ten minutes pass, half an
hour, an hour, and then he shows up.
The wife: "You said ten minutes, and I have been waiting here for an hour."
The husband: "Forgive me, there was too much traffic."
The wife: "This is not the first time. That's the way you are; always
late. You should have called me."
The husband: "My phone is out of credit, and I have no credit to call."
The wife: "How can I trustyou? Do you think I am stupid and that all I
have to do is to wait for you?"
He looks at her in confusion and stops talking.
Dear husband and wife,
The husband started witha real excuse, then he chose to protect his
marital bond through silence.
Change the "you" into an"I":
The term "you" is nothing but a formula forfailure in
communicatingwith your husband. It means: "You are guilty and
responsible and you have to change. But I am not responsible."
"I" means that you are thinking in an attempt tointerpret the cause of
anger. In the above example, the wife is angry, not because the
husband is late but because she feels that she is not important to
him, which leads to frustration and then anger. This emotion builds up
as time passes, and as her attempt to interpret the cause of his delay
continues, it leads to other thoughts:
"He always neglects me."
"He gives no importance to me."
"His work is more important to him than me."
"He thinks I have no feelings."
Another emotion:
Why not express the reaction to the delay by using a different emotion?
Feeling sad because she is lonely?
Being afraid that he should be concerned with anything more than her?
Feeling guilty lest she may have done something which made him come home late?
Fearing that something bad might have happened to him?
Sometimes, she could be glad because she managed to be ready before his arrival.
So, when she meets him, she could say:
"I am sad that you came home late, because this means that I am not
important to you."
"If only you knew how afraid I was because you were late… I thought
something might have happened to you and I was so worried about you."
"If only you knew how eagerly I await you coming home!"
Then, watch him with his eyes sparkling, approaching you, trying to
prove the opposite of that. No man on earth can resist such a
reception. If the man were to know that he would be received in
thisway, surely, he would do his best to arrive as soon as possible
the next time. Conversely, if he knows there will be a dispute, he
will say to himself, "A quarrel is awaiting me anyway, whether I am
late for ten minutes or anhour."
In order not to aggravatethe situation, the husband could have said to
her when he arrived, "Iknow that you are upset because I am late and
that you have been waiting for me. I apologize."
If each of the spouses leaves the "you" formula, the dialogue will
remain open, otherwise, frustration will recur, giving room for anger
and resentment to accumulate, which makesany further communication
even more difficult.
"I" means that you should ask yourself: "Whyam I aggravated?" If you
know and address the real cause of aggravation, the pent-upfeelings
will not accumulate and the reaction will not be negative.
Men must realize that women naturally incline towards caring for
others, and devote themselves wholeheartedly to doing so. When a
woman's husband is late, she is concerned about that, and may become
tense, and her life and housework may come to a halt because she is
worried about him.
The wife should realize that saying "I" instead of"You", and
expressing herself using her emotional intelligence will go a long way
towards maintaining the channels of communication between her and her
husband, instead of silence and an end to dialogue.
Iblees and Aadam… I and you
Consider, dear reader, the difference between the speech of Iblees
(Satan), may Allaah curse him, and the speech of Aadam . In the Noble
Quran, Iblees says (what means): } "My Lord, because You have put mein
error { [Quran 15:39] i.e. 'You are the cause', Exalted and Hallowed
be Allaah The Almighty from what he says. On the other hand, Aadam
says: } "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves { [Quran 7:23] it means
he holds himself responsiblefor the sin.

10 Facts about the Day of Jumu'ah

One of the blessings with which the Muslim nation has been endowed is
the day of Jumu'ah , or Friday . The Messenger of Allaah, , said: "The
best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it Allaah created Aadam. On
it, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and
the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday." [Ahmad and
At-At-Tirmithi].
Imaam Ibn Katheer , said, "It was named Jumu'ah because it is derived
from the word Al-Jam' in Arabic which means to gather, as Muslims
gather on this day every week, and Allaah has commanded the believers
to gather for His worship, as He says that which means : } "O you who
believe! When the call is proclaimed for Jumu`ah (Friday prayer), come
fastto the remembrance of Allaah" { [Quran, 62: 9] meaning be keen to
go and attend it."
Here are some other virtues and facts about the Day of Jumu'ah :
· It includes the congregational Jumu'ah prayer, which is one of the
obligatory acts in Islam and one of the great gatherings of the
Muslims. Allah The Almighty will seal the heart of whoever abandons
and slights this, according to the Prophet , in a Hadeeth (narration)
in the book of Imaam Muslim .
· The day of Jumu'ah includes an hour during which all supplications
are accepted. Abu Hurayrah , narrated that the Messenger of Allaah ,
said: "On (the day of) Jumu'ah is an hour during which Allaahgives to
a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for."
[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim].
· Giving in charity during this day is more virtuous than any other
day. Ka'b , narrated that the Messenger, , said: "Charity given during
theday of Jumu'ah is greater(in reward) than any other day."
· The believers will see their Lord from Paradise on that day. Anas
ibn Maalik, said regardingthe saying of Allaah The Almighty (which
means): } "And We have more (i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty)" {
[Quran, 50: 35] "Allaah will appear to them on the day of Jumu'ah."
· It is an 'Eed , i.e., a recurrent holiday and celebration. Ibn
'Abbaas , narrated that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Jumu'ah is a
day of celebration, so whoever attends it should performGhusl
(bathing) beforehand." [Ibn Maajah].
· It is a day on which sins are forgiven, as narrated by Salmaan who
narrated that the Prophet, said: "Any man who performs Ghusl on
Friday, perfumes himself if he has perfume, wears the best of his
clothes, then goes to the mosque and offers as many prayers as he
wishes while not harming anybody, then listens quietly while the Imaam
speaks until he offers the prayer, will have all his sins between that
Friday and the next forgiven." [Al-Bukhaari].
· When walking to attend the Friday sermon, a Muslim gets the reward
of both praying Qiyaam (i.e., the night prayer) and fasting a full
year. Aws ibn Aws narrated that the Prophet, , said: "Whoever performs
Ghusl on Friday after having sexual intercoursewith his wife, then
goes early to the mosque and attends from the beginning of the Khutbah
and draws near to the Imaam and listens to him attentively, Allaah
will give him the full reward of fasting all the days of a year and
observing night-vigil on each of its nights for every step that he
took towards the mosque." [Ibn Khuzaymah, Ahmad].
· Hell is fired-up during every day of the week except Friday, as a
mark of honour and respect for the day of Friday.
· Dying on Friday, during the day or night, is a signof a good end,
for the one who dies on that daywill be protected from the trial of
the grave (i.e.,Allaah The Almighty will enable such a person to be
steadfast during it). The Prophet, said: "AnyMuslim who dies during
the day or night of Fridaywill be protected by Allaah from the trial
of the grave." [At-Tirmithi and Ahmad].

Jumma Prayers -, There is no regular Sunnah prayer before Jumu’ah.

Is there any Sunnah prayer before or after Jumu'ah?
Praise be to Allaah. There is no regular Sunnah prayer before Jumu'ah
according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, but it
prescribed for the Muslim, when he comes to the mosque, to pray
whatever Allaah enables him to pray, saying salaam after each two
rak'ahs, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: "The prayers of the night and the day [i.e., other than the
obligatory prayers] are two by two." (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad and the
authors of Sunan with a hasan isnaad; the original is to be found in
al-Saheeh without any mention of the day.)
And many saheeh reports indicate that what is prescribed for the
Muslim when he comes to the mosque on Friday is to pray whatever
Allaah wills he should pray before the imaam comes out. The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not specify whether it
should be two or four ormore. All of that is good, but the minimum is
two rak'ahs to "greet the mosque."
With regard to after Jumu'ah, there is a regular Sunnah prayer, the
minimum of which istwo rak'ahs and the maximum is four, because the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "Whoever
among you prays after Jumu'ah, let him pray four (rak'ahs)" (narrated
by Muslim, al-Jumu'ah, 8881). And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) used to pray two rak'ahs after Jumu'ah in his house. May
Allaah help us all to do that which pleases Him.
Majmoo' Fataawa wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwi'ah li Samaahat al-Shaykh
al-'Allaamah 'Abd al-'Azeez ibn 'Abd-Allaah ibn Baaz (may Allaah have
mercy on him), part12, vol. 386

Jumma Prayers -, It is not permissible to stay away from Jumu‘ah prayer without an excuse.

I graduated as a radiology technician in the Norton Hospital in
America. They offered me a job last week, but it seems that they will
not give me a day off on Fridays to perform Jumu'ah prayer. What is
the ruling?
Praise be to Allah.
It is obligatory on the one who can hear the call to prayer on Friday
and is one of those for whom Jumu'ah is obligatory -- that is he is a
male, Muslim, accountable and free (not a slave) -- to respond to the
call. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the
Salat (prayer) on the dayof Friday (Jumuah prayer), come to the
remembrance of Allah (Jumuah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salat
(prayer)) and leave off business (and every other thing), that is
better for you if you did but know!"
[al-Jumu 'ah 63:9].
And the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
"People must cease neglecting Jumu'ah, or Allaah will put a seal over
their hearts and they will truly be among the negligent." Narrated by
Muslim, 865.
Secondly:
There are some excuses that make it permissible for a Muslim to miss
Jumu'ah prayer, such as being sick or doing essential work that he
cannot leave in order to offer Jumu'ah prayer, as in the case of one
who istreating the sick or dealing with emergency cases in the
hospital, or one who works as a security guard for a place of great
importance, and other such jobs.
This has been discussed previously in the answerto question no. 36530
Based on that, if your presence in the hospital at the time of Jumu'ah
prayer is necessary for dealing with emergency and accident cases, and
there is no one else you can do this job apart from you, then there is
nothing wrong with your not attending Jumu'ah prayer in that case, and
you may pray it as Zuhr.
But if your staying in thehospital at that time is not necessary,
because there are others who could do the work besides you, then there
is no excuse for you to miss Jumu'ah prayer, and you have to do look
for another job which will not conflict with your Islamic duty. If a
person gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate
him with something better than it.
We ask Allah to make what is good easy for you wherever it is.
And Allah knows best.

Jumma Prayers -, Praying during the imaam’s khutbah.

If a person is praying two rak'ahs on Friday (atJumu'ah) then the
imaam comes in, should he stop praying or not?
Praise be to Allaah.
It seems to me, and Allaah knows best, that ifyou have already
prayedone rak'ah with its two prostrations, then you should complete
your prayer quickly, because of the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may
Allaah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever catches up with one rak'ah of the
prayer has caught up with the prayer." (Agreed upon).
But if the khateeb starts his khutbah before you have completed the
first rak'ah with its two prostrations, then you should stop your
prayer, because of the obligation to listen to the khateeb.

Allah is sufficient as a surety, -Islamic Stories -,

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "An Israeli man asked another Israeli to lend him
one thousand Dinars. The second man required witnesses. The former
replied, 'Allah is sufficient as a witness.' The second said, 'I want
a surety.' The former replied, 'Allah is sufficient as a surety.' The
second said, 'You areright,' and lent him the money for a certain
period. The debtor went across the sea. When he finished his job, he
searched for a conveyance so that he might reach in time for the
repayment of the debt, but he could not find any. So, he took a piece
of wood and madea hole in it, inserted in it one thousand Dinars anda
letter to the lender andthen closed (i.e. sealed) the hole tightly. He
took the piece of wood to thesea and said. 'O Allah! You know well
that I took a loan of one thousand Dinars from so-and-so. He demandeda
surety from me but I told him that Allah's Guarantee was sufficientand
he accepted Your guarantee. He then asked for a witness and Itold him
that Allah was sufficient as a Witness, and he accepted You as a
Witness. No doubt, I tried hard to find a conveyance so that I could
pay his money but could not find, so I hand over this money to You.'
Saying that, he threw the piece of wood into the sea till it went out
far into it, and then he went away. Meanwhile he started searching for
a conveyance in order toreach the creditor's country.
One day the lender cameout of his house to see whether a ship had
arrived bringing his money, and all of a sudden he saw the pieceof
wood in which his money had been deposited. He took it home to use for
fire. When he sawed it, he found his money and theletter inside it.
Shortly after that, the debtor came bringing one thousand Dinars to
him and said, 'By Allah, I had been trying hard to get a boat so that
I could bring you your money, but failed to get one before the one I
have come by.' The lender asked, 'Have you sent something to me?' The
debtor replied, 'I have told you I could not get aboat other than the
one I have come by.' The lender said, 'Allah has delivered on your
behalfthe money you sent in the piece of wood. So, you may keep your
one thousand Dinars and depart guided on the right path.'" Source:

Two things that he feared -Islamic Stories

It is said about Shaddad ibne Aws (RA) that he once began to cry.
People asked about his crying, and he replied: It is something I heard
from Rasulullah (SAW) which makes me weep when I remember it.
Rasulullah (SAW) had said: I fear for my peoplefrom Shirk (ascribing
partners to Allah) and Hidden Desires. Shaddad(RA) says: I had asked:
O Rasulullah! Would your people be guilty of idolatry after your
death? Rasulullah (SAW) had replied: Yes (but) they will not worship
the sun, the moon, a stone or an idol; but they will act for display
(without sincerity). Hidden Desire is that oneof them will start the
dayfasting, but when one ofhis desires will present itself to him; he
will abandon his fast (and satisfy his desire). Source: Musnad Ahmed.
Let us not worship nicelyso that others can see and praise us. Today,
wewear beautiful clothes and jewelleries when attending an invitation
or meeting a renowned person. Whereas, when the pious people of the
past would get up for tahajjud prayer at night, they would wear their
best clothes, put on the surma and decorate themselves nicely to stand
in front of Allah.
