*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Fathwa - Marriage and Engagement - The Husband is Required to Provide

Question:
If the wife has a job and she receives a good salary, is it incumbent
upon the husband to provide for her? And what will the situation be,
if his income is little?
Answer:
It is an obligation upon the husband to provide for his wife, even if
she has a good salary, because his providing for her is in return for
the pleasure which he gets from her - even though his income may be
little, unless the woman is good-natured and is indulgent towardsher
husband regarding provision, then the matter is up to her. - -

Fathwa - Marriage and Engagement - The Ruling on a Young Woman's Guardian Refusing to Give Her in Marriage

Question:
A person proposed marriage to a young woman and her guardian refused,
with the intention of forbidding her to marry. What is the ruling of
Islaam on this? Deliver a legal verdict for us, may Allaah reward you.
Answer:
It is an obligation upon the guardians to give their charges in
marriage early if they are proposed to by suitable men and they
accept, according to the words of the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi was
salaam:
'If one whose religion and character pleases you proposes to you, then
marry (your daughter to) him. If you do not do so, it will be a cause
of trial in the land and great corruption.' (At Tirmithi no. 1084)
So it is not permissible toprevent them from marrying, in order to
give them in marriage tothose whom they do not accept, such as their
cousins or others, nor in order to ask for a lot of money or other
things which have not been legislated by Allaah and His Messenger
sallallaahualayhi was salaam.
It is incumbent upon the authorities, such as the governors and the
judges, to prevent those who are known to refuse one, while permitting
another guardian to marry his charges, and to permit other guardians
to give them in marriage, starting with the nearestrelatives and then
the next nearest. They must do this in order to prevent injustice, to
implement justice, and to protect the young men and women from doing
what Allaah has forbidden (unlawful sexual relations) due to being
prevented from marriage by their guardians' injustice. We ask Allaah
that He guide us all and make us choose truth over vain desires, for
verily, He is All-Hearing, ready to answer. - - ▓███▓

Fathwa - Marriage and Engagement - On delaying the marriage of a young woman until completion of high school or university education.

Question:
There is a widespread custom of a young woman or her father refusing
those who propose to her until she has completed her high school or
university education, or so that shemay study for a number of years.
What is the ruling on that? And whatis your advice to those who do so,
so that the young women might reach the age of thirty or more without
marrying?
Answer:
My advice to all young men and women is to marry without delay andto
hasten to it, if conditions permit, as theProphet sallallaahu alayhi
was salaam said:
'O you young men! Thoseamong you who have the means and the ability
should marry, because it restrains the eyes (from evil glances) and
preserves the private parts (from immorality). And whoever is unable
to do so, should fast because itis a protection for him.' (Al-Bukhari
no. 5066 andMuslim no. 1400)
And he sallallaahu alayhiwas salaam said:
'If one whose religion and character pleases you proposes to you, then
marry (your daughter to) him. If you do not do so, it will be a cause
of trial in the land and great corruption.' (At-Tirmithi no. 1084)
Narrated by At-Tirmithi with a Hasan chain of narrators.
And he sallallaahu alayhiwas salaam said:
'Marry productive, lovingwomen, because I will have the largest number
of followers on the Day of Resurrection.' (Abu Dawud no. 2050,
An-Nasa'i no. 3229, Ahmad 3/158, 245 & Ibn Hibban no. 4028)
Narrated by Imaam Ahmad and authenticated by Ibn Hibban.
It is also necessary due to the many benefits indicated by the
Prophetsallallaahu alayhi was salaam, such as averting one's gaze,
protecting the private parts (from sin), increasing the size of the
Muslim community, and safety from great corruption and evil
consequences. May Allaah grant all of the Muslims success in attaining
that wherein lies righteousness in the matter of their religion and
their earthly life. Verily, He is All-Hearing, Near.

The Prophet (saas) has given a great deal of information about both
the age in which he lived and the future of the Islamic world, and asa
miracle from our Lord these have all come true. Many of the reports
given by the Prophet Muhammad (saas) about the future of the Islamic
world concern the End Times. Some of the events he spoke of and which
we are witnessingcoming about in our own time are increased
earthquakes, drought, extraordinary celestial phenomena, great wars, a
rise in anarchy and chaos, reduced security, and uprisings. Our
Prophet (saas) tells us that in the End Times Muslims and believers
will suffer various difficulties, but that afterthat period, with the
second coming of Prophet 'Isa (as) and the appearance of the Mahdi, an
age of light will be experienced. The Prophet (saas) has supplied many
details of the portents prior to the coming of Prophet 'Isa (as) and
the Mahdi and has described the joys tobe experienced when these
blessed individualsappear.
The hadiths supply manysigns of the appearance of the Dajjal and
events that will take place at that time. Some of these, which are in
all likelihood taking place in our day are:
Cloud Seeding
As an-Nawwas ibn Sam'an reported, the Prophet (saas) said:
"He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall
upon the earth ..."
(Sahih Muslim, Book 041,Number 7015)
It is reported in the above hadith that in the End Times there will be
means of causing rainfallwhen so desired. These methods are actually
employed today. The technique known as cloud seeding is applied as
follows:
"Seeding of clouds requires that they contain supercooled liquid
water—that is, liquid water colder than zero degrees Celsius.
Introduction of a substance such as silver iodide, which has a
crystalline structure similar to that of ice, willinduce freezing
(heterogeneous nucleation). Dry ice [frozen carbon dioxide] or propane
expansion cools the air to such an extent that ice crystals can
nucleate spontaneously from the vapor phase. ... In mid-latitude
clouds, the usual seeding strategy has been predicated upon the fact
that the equilibrium vapor pressure is lower over water than over ice.
When ice particles form in supercooled clouds, this fact allows the
ice particles to grow at the expense of liquid droplets. If there is
sufficient growth, the particles become heavy enough to fall as snow
(or, if melting occurs, rain) from clouds that otherwise would produce
no precipitation. This process is known as"static" seeding. Seedingof
warm-season or tropical cumuliform (convective) clouds seeksto exploit
the latent heatreleased by freezing. This strategy of"dynamic" seeding
assumes that the additional latent heat adds buoyancy, strengthens
updrafts, ensures more low-level convergence, and ultimately causes
rapid growth of properly selected clouds. Cloud seeding chemicals may
be dispersed by aircraft or by dispersion devices located on the
ground (generators)." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_seeding)
One place in which this technique is often employed is Kansas. The
National Geographic website provides the following information on the
subject:
"In Kansas, clouds sometimes promise rain and fail to deliver—or
produce crop-damaging hail. To coax moisture from the clouds, the
Western Kansas WeatherModification Program sends out its planes.
Wing-borne burners produce a silver iodide smoke, which rides updrafts
into the sub-zero heart of certainstorm clouds. At that altitude, the
silver iodideparticles provide nuclei around which cloud water can
freeze. When they're heavy enough, the grains of ice fall—melting into
rain on the way down. In theory, the strategy not only increases
rainfall but also keeps moisture from being swept high into clouds and
forming hail. …"

state of Kansas.

The rain bomb is a technology that has been developed over thelast 60
years. Today, some 24 countries, including the USA, Israel, Canada,
Russia, Thailand,Morocco and Australia employ the technique to
increase rainfall. (http://www.aksam.com.tr/haber.asp?a=77081,10) The
pictures below show the silver iodine and some of the cloud seeding
devices employed today:

Increase in Milk Production
The events that we are told will take place in the End Times in those
hadiths of the Prophet (saas) that have come down to the present
dayhave taken place in our own time by means of advances in
technology. One of the events reported in the hadiths as a portent of
the appearance of the Dajjal is an increase in milk yield. The
progress that has been in livestock rearing in our time has given rise
to this increase in yield reported in the hadith. And Allah knows
best.
An-Nawwas ibn Sam'an reported that the Prophet (saas) said:
"He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and
they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then
give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and
it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their posturing animals
wouldcome to them with their humps very high and their udders full of
milk and their flanks stretched."
(Sahih Muslim, Book 041,Number 7015)
The artificial insemination of the animal population, embryo transfer
and the raising of animal quality by means of high productivity stock,
which began being implemented only recently in our own time, have led
to a huge rise in milk production in all countries, particularly
Holland and Belgium. In Holland, for example, the daily average milk
yield from a single cow has risen to 35 liters. Some cows are even
known to produce as much as 53 liters.
The Treasure Detector
The hadiths describing the End Times also tell usof many portents,
together with a variety of other information and developments. One of
these is a hadith describing the emergence and attributes of the
Dajjal. This hadith tells of treasure hidden beneatha building as the
Dajjal passes by it:
"He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth
your treasures, and the treasures would come out…" (Sahih Muslim, Book
041, Number 7015; reported by an-Nawwas ibn Sam'an)
As we know, detectors that can find metals under the ground and that
are capable of distinguishing between metallic and non-metallic
compoundsare in wide use today. Thanks to these, it can immediately be
established whether or not there is any metal buried beneath a
building or under the ground. These detectors, which make it easy to
find buried metals such as gold, silver, copper and bronze, are
frequently employed in engineering, construction and by the military,
and by others for treasure hunting.
The above hadith may well be referring to the use of such a device.
That would explain the detection of treasure beneath the building and
its subsequent extraction. And Allah knows best.
Trawl Nets
One of his (Dajjal's) astonishing deeds is this:He will enter the sea
three times a day; one ofhis arms is long. With hislong arm he will
lean on the bottom of the sea, and with his other hand he will sweep
up and catch what he wishes from among the fishes inthe deeps...
(Reported byAbu Nuaym [ra]). (Signs of Qiyamah, 10th edition, p. 216)
It is indicated in the hadiths of the Prophet (saas) that in the End
Times Dajjal will "reach down the bottom of the sea and catch the
fishes of the deeps." The "trawlnets" used today in catching fish
fully match this description given in the hadith. And Allah knows
best.
Fishing with trawl nets isalso known as "multi-species fishery"
because a large number of species are caught at thesame time. Trawl
nets, a kind of drag net, are used in seabed and mid-water fishing.
Thesenets, which scour the seabed with steel cables, trap all the fish
they encounter.
Trawl nets , resemble large, cone-shaped, wide-mouthed (30 meters or
so wide) bags. Wooden struts are used to keep the mouth open when the
net is first cast into the sea. These are connected to the trawlerboat
by steel cables. Bottom trawling is generally used in places where the
seabed is largely flat. Dropped from the trawler boat, the trawl net
is dragged along behind it for some1.5 to 3 hours and scoursthe
seabed, catching all the fish it encounters. It is then raised using a
winch and the fish inside unloaded on deck. Once the fish have been
cleaned and washed, they are packedin ice in the ship's hold. On some
very large and highly advanced trawlers, the fish are loaded into
freezing apparatus once they have been cleaned. These boats are able
to remain at sea and therefore fish for more prolonged periods.
Greater Life Expectancy
Our Prophet (saws) has provided considerable information about the
period in which he lived and also the future of the Islamic world, and
allhis reports have turned out to be true, as a miracle from Allah. A
large part of what the Prophet Muhammed (saws) tells us about the
future of the Islamic world concerns phenomena to do with the End
Times. Accounts given by our Prophet (saws) and that have been
witnessed to come true in our own day are that there will be an
increase in earthquakes during the End Times, that there will be
drought, that extraordinary phenomena will be observed in the skies,
that there will be great wars, an increase in chaos and anarchy, a
decline in security and also revolutions.
Our Prophet (saws) has told us that Muslims and believers will be
subjected to various difficulties in the End Times, that the Prophet
'Isa (as) will return to Earth in the wake of this troubled time, and
that with the appearance of the Mahdi all believers can expect an age
of felicity. Our Prophet (saws) has also provided detailed
descriptions of the signs that will be seen before the coming of the
Prophet 'Isa (as) and the Mahdi, as well asof the joys that the coming
of these holy personages will bring.
As reported in the hadith, one of the portents of the End Times and
the appearance of the blessed Mahdi is "increased life expectancy"
during this holy period. Some of thehadith and accounts regarding this
are as follows:
Life expectancy will increase in his (the Mahdi's) time. This
increased life expectancy also means that he (the Mahdi) will be
long-lived. (p. 184)
In his time (the blessed Mahdi's) ... Life spans will grow longer ...
(Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi'alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 43)
Life spans will grow longer...
(Al-Suyuti, Portents of Doomsday, Death and Resurrection, p. 1699, p. 179)
There has been a relative increase in life expectancy in recent times,
but none to matchthe increase observed in the 21st century. Research
has revealed that human life expectancy will rise by 50% this century
and that there will be many more people living to see their 100th
birthdaysin the years to come.
Increases in life expectancy
1800s: average life expectancy 24
1900s: average life expectancy 48
2000s: average life expectancy 63
The results of research into genetics and gene technology at the end
ofthe 20th and early 21st centuries show that "life expectancies will
be prolonged." For example, a report in National Geographic magazine
stated that theformula needed for a longer and healthier life would
soon be available in pharmacies. Scientists who say they have
identified the gene for long life state that the average life may soon
bearound 100 years. Another study reports that children born around
now will live to be approximately 125 or 150. Many researchers state
that "there will be nothing out of the ordinary in people aged 150"
and that in the 21stcentury life expectancieswill increased beyond
allcomparison with the past.
The fact this phenomenon, imparted by our Prophet 1400 years or so
ago, coming about so clearly and manifestly without doubt represents
very glad tidings for believers. Just like this prediction, the other
reports imparted by our Prophet (saws) will also all come true, and
mankind will witness many holy phenomena during the 21st century. By
the will of Allah, the Prophet 'Isa (as) will return to Earth, the
blessed Mahdi will appear, and by means ofthese holy personages the
moral values of Islam will prevail across the entire world. This is
something promised in the pages of the Qur'an. In verse 55 of Surat
an-Nur, our Lord tells us: "Allah has promised those of you who have
faith and do right actions that He will makethem successors in the
land as He made those before them successors, and will firmly
establish for them their religion with which He is pleasedand give
them, in place of their fear, security.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO LIVE LONGER
Turkish daily Radikal, 21 April 2002
… The 'Industrial revolution' in the late 19th century and scientific
advances led toextraordinary progress in the field of medicine in the
last century. This has prolonged human life expectancy by 50% …The
frontiers of middle age have been put back from 40-50 to 60-70. As we
enter the new millennium it has emerged that certain diseases are
caused by defects in genes, themselves the secret of life.
Biotechnological progress is now at the point of being able to rectify
gene defects.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HUMAN LIFE EXPECTANCY?
Turkish daily Hürriyet, 18March 2004
According to some scientists, children born today will be able live
upthe age of 150, and someare of the opinion that there is no limit to
human life expectancy. Human life expectancy regularly increases by 2
years every decade. This means that in 2150 the average life
expectancy will be 122.5, and peopleaged 150 will be regarded as quite
normal. There are currently some 40,000 people aged over 100 in the
USA, although the number was only around 2,300 in the 1950s. James
Vaupel, from the Max Planck Demographic Research Institute in Rostock
in Germany, suggests that the number of centenarians will doublein
developed countries every 10 years.
http://webarsiv.hurriyet.com.tr/2004/03/18/429832.asp
Turkish magazine Tempo, 25 June 2004
Human life expectancy has almost doubled sincethe end of the 19th
century. It is estimated that human life expectancy will increase
still further thanks to advances in genetic medicine. A study by the
medical journal Anti-Aging asked 60 experts in the field to estimate
the life expectancy of a child born in 2100. The majority of the
experts responded "at least 100 year," while some said that life
expectancy could reach 150 or even 200 years.
The Discovery of Solar Cookers
He will catch a bird flying in the air and roast it under the Sun.. (1)
In the above hadith reported from the Prophet (saas), our attention is
drawn to "hunted prey being immediately able to be cooked and eaten"
in the time of the Dajjal. Another aspect of these descriptions is
that this will take place "in a sunny environment." These statements
in the hadith may be referring to the "solar cookers" that are used
with modern-day technology. And Allah knows best.
Thanks to the solar cookers that are manufactured as an alternative to
LPG, natural gas, electricity, wood and coal, even foods such as meat
can be immediately cooked and eaten under the Sun.
As shown in the picture, solar rays are focused onthe cooker thanks to
the bright interior surfaces. Food placed inside the oven cooks in the
high temperatures released by the reflected solar ray. (2)
The descriptions referring to the End Times are highly applicable to
our own time.
(1) Signs of Qiyamah , 8th edition, translated by Naim ErdoÄŸan,
Pamuk Publishing, p. 216.
(2) Emily Krone ( Daily Herald Business writer), "Elburn-made solar
ovens give hope to many inThird World," September 26, 2004, pp. 1, 3.
Clouds of Smoke
The Dajjal will say, "I am the Lord of the worlds... It is by my leave
that thisSun follows its course, if you wish, I can halt its
progress!" They will respond by asking him to halt it. At this he will
imprison the Sun, and will make a day resemble a month and a week a
year. (Reported from Nu'aym ibn Hammad and Hakim ibn Mas'ud (ra))
(Signs of Qiyamah, 10th edition, p.219, 220)
One of the hadith of our Prophet (saas) refers to the Dajjal
imprisoning the Sun. Today, smoke clouds can be formed using a variety
of different techniques, by means of which the sunlight can be blocked
out. The smoke bombs used to create such clouds were used in the First
and Second World Wars. These shrouded the sky, blocked off all sound
and prevented the detection of planes and parachutists. This
artificial measure, the blocking out of the Sun'srays, appears to be
in close agreement with the imprisoning of the Sun referred to in the
hadith. And Allah knows best.
The Dajjal Will Bring Uneducated, Ignorant People under His Sway
According to the indications in the hadiths and statements by Islamic
scholars, the worst corruption caused by the Dajjal will be the
spreading of atheism, leading to anarchy and conflict. The system of
the Dajjal will employ materialism and Darwinism to encouragepeople
towards denial, irreligion and immorality. As noted in the hadiths,
the materialist propaganda of the system of the Dajjal will mainly
influence uneducated, ignorant people.
This aspect of the Dajjal is described as follows:
(The Dajjal) will particularly be able to deceive women and ignorant
peasants... (Signs of Qiyamah, p. 216)
Looking at countries such as China, the Soviet Union, North Korea and
some South American nations, in which communist revolutions took place
in the recent past, we can see that theprediction in this hadith has
indeed become a reality. Communist leaders have generally
indoctrinated and misled people living in rural or mountainous areas,
with low levels of education or none at all, leading to enormous
corruption. Lenin instigated uprising among the Russian serfs and Mao
among Chinese peasants, while Castro carried out his uprising in rural
and forest areas by influencing the people inhabiting them. Communist
guerrilla movements are still active in rural areas in North Korea and
some South American countries. It is noteworthy that the communist,
separatist, terrorist organization in Turkey concentrates its efforts
in mountainous areas, trying to deceive the uneducated inhabitants.
However, the people in the region possess foresight and knowledge,
which allows them to increasingly see that thisseparatist terror group
isactually atheistic in structure, and thus will avoid being used by
these terrorists.
A Person's Voice Speaking To Him
I swear to Allah, in whose power my life is, that Doomsday will not
take place until savage animals talk to human beings, until a person's
voice and shoes speak tohim, and until people tellhim what they are
doing ."
(Imam Sha'rani, Death, Doomsday, Resurrection,p. 471 )
With the cassette and CD players widely used today it is possible to
record a person's voice and listen to it later. The reference to "a
person's voice speaking to him" issuggestive of these devices. The
expression "until a person's shoes speak to him" puts one in mind of
the listening devices that intelligence officers conceal in their
footwear. Listening devices installed inside shoe heels and developed
by Romanian intelligence during the Cold War were used by Western
diplomats.
The reference to "peopletelling him what they are doing" may indicate
how families and friendsa long way away establish communications using
internet cameras and video telephones."

"Doomsday will not take place until the handle of a whip, his shoe
lace speak to a person, until there is such abundance that a person
will find nobody to give alms to, until rivers and streams flow
through Arab lands."
Sound receiver installed in a shoe heel
The reference to "a person's shoe lace speaking" in the above account
indicates the shoe lace serving as an antenna in surveillance systems
installed in footwear.
The term "until the handle of a whip speaks to a person" may again be
a reference to modern technology's wireless and mobile phones
resembling whips. The use of wireless and mobile phones whose antenna
are not unlike the tips ofwhips bears a close similarity to the term
"until the handle of a whip speaks to a person."
THE FLOWING OF RIVERS THROUGH ARABLANDS
The term "until rivers and streams flow through Arab lands" refers to
desert agriculture using large quantities of water on the present-day
Arabian Peninsula, and particularly in countries such as Israel and
Saudi Arabia.
Israel's water spouts in the city of Haifa
Decorative pools in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv
Mur Valley, Saudi Arabia

OTHER SIGNS...
It is reported from Ibn al-Munadi (ra) that:
"He will hold the clouds in his right hand, extendto where the Sun
sets, walk on the ocean, and yet the water will come only up to his
heels… There will be smoke in front of him and a greenmountain behind…
He will issue such a cry that all those between the earth and the
skies will hear it... He will command the soil and it will grow
crops... " (Signs of Qiyamah, 10th edition, p. 219)
He will hold the clouds inhis right hand...
This hadith reported from the Prophet (saas) refers to the Dajjal
holding "the clouds in his right hand." This maybe a reference to
airplanes capable of reaching the uppermost levels of the
atmosphere.Planes ascend to the level of the clouds and make it
possible for human beings to reach them. This technology seems to be
connected to the words of the hadith regarding the Dajjal "holding the
clouds in his right hand."And Allah knows best.
He will extend to where the Sun sets...
The reference in the hadith to the Dajjal extending "to where theSun
sets," may well be significant in terms of modern technology. Sunset
can be observed all over the world using technological devices such as
telescopes and satellites. Satellite systems can provide images of all
countries, and these can then be watched all over the planet on the
Internet. The reference in the hadith to the Dajjal "extending to
where theSun sets" may be pointing to the satellite system in
question. And Allah knows best.
He will walk on the ocean, and yet the waterwill come only up to his heels...
Our Prophet (saas) tells us that the Dajjal "will walk on the ocean,
yet the water will come onlyup to his heels." This description may
well be a reference to present-day sports such as surfing,
water-skiing, kite surfing, or barefoot water-skiing. People who
engage in these sports move over the surface of the water, touching it
only with their feet. The reference in the hadith to the Dajjal
walking on the water, and the water coming only up to his heels, may
well be an indication of these sports. And Allah knows best.
There will be smoke in front of him and a greenmountain behind...
The reference in the hadith to "smoke in front of him, and a green
mountain behind," bears a close resemblance to the picture established
by modern-day airplanes inthe sky. As the illustration makes clear, as
they fly an image forms of a cloud of smoke in front of them, and one
of a mountain covered in greenery behind.
He will issue such a cry that all those between the earth and the
skies will hear it...
The hadith also refers to the Dajjal issuing such a cry that all those
between the earth and the skies will hear it. Modern advances such as
radio, television and the Internet can broadcast across the world by
means of satellites and radio waves, and everyone in all countries can
now listen to the same broadcast at exactly the same time. This
technological system, representing a single broadcast or voice, may
well correspond to the hadith's description of everyone in heaven and
earth hearing the same thing. And Allah knows best.
He will command the soiland it will grow crops...
The hadith also refers to the Dajjal "commanding the soil to grow
crops." The different kinds of agricultural machinery and the various
sizes of tractor available today make harvesting a simple matter.
Similarly, fertilizer and irrigation technologies mean that crops grow
very quickly. Using these technologiesthe land can be sown and made
highly productive, and this agrees with the description in the hadith.
And Allah knows best. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Scientific responses to Celal Sengor's demagogic claims

Celal Sengor, a guest on the TV program "Siyaset Meydani" (Political
Arena), broadcast on 19 March, 2009, provided various explanations in
order to defend Darwinism, which has now been totally defeated. Sengor
used Darwinist demagogic techniques to attempt tore-introduce matters
that had been repeated for many years but completely disproved and he
totally denied the subjects at points he was unable to answer before a
group of youngpeople he could not manage to convince. Since the
accounts in question have been raised once again by means of this
program, it is essential to issue some reminders of the subject. You
can read Celal Sengor's claims andthe definitive scientific responses
of them below:
1. The Deception that "There Are Tons of Transitional Fossils and That
Dinosaur Species Represent Transitional Fossils"
2. The Deception That Therapsids Are Transitional Forms
3. The Deception that "There Was No Oxygen inthe Primeval Atmosphere"
4. The Transition to Bipedalism Deception
5. The Invalidity of the Claim That the Idea Whales Evolved from Bears
Did Not Originate with Darwin
6. The Invalidity of the Claim That Mutations Miraculously Give Rise
to Evolution
7. The Invalidity of the Claims That the Eye Is Notan Irreducibly
Complex Structure and That the Eye Evolved
8. The Invalidity of the Claim That There Is Chaosin the Universe and the World
9. The Invalidity of the Claim That Bacterial Resistance to
Antibiotics Is Evidence of Evolution.
10. The Deceit that Photosynthetic Bacteria Emerged with "a Small
Evolution" and ProducedOxygen
11. The Invalidity of the Claim that Man's Ancestors Lived in Caves
12. The Deceit That The Human Ability to Think Isthe Same as That of
Other Living Things
13. The Error of Seeking to Depict the Harmony on Earth as Disorder
14. The Invalidity of the Claim That New Species Evolve Every Year
15. What Was Never Mentioned on the Program "Siyaset Meydani" (Political Arena)
SUMMARY STATEMENTS:
THE MUTATIONCLAIM
1. Mutations are either neutral or else harmful to living things.
There are no useful mutations. (Hiroshima, Chernobyl, dwarfism,
cancer).
2. Mutation adds no new information to DNA. But this is essential in
the formation of a new species or a new characteristic. (No wing can
appear in a species without wings; only three legs may emerge instead
of two).
3. Not one single cell can form by chance. The people who make this
claim have to date been unable to manufacture asingle living thing or
cellunder laboratory conditions.

THE CLAIM OF THE TRANSITION FROM QUADRIPEDALISM TO BIPEDALISM
1. Standing on two legs rather than four is of no advantage.
Quadripedalism is faster and more effective in terms of concealment
and hunting. In addition, animals are capable of standing on two legs
for fixation.
2. According to what evolutionists claim, a living thing would have to
pass through many transitional postures in moving from four legs
totwo. But that is impossible even according to evolutionists' own
claims.

THE CLAIM THAT DINOSAURS EVOLVED INTO BIRDS
According to evolutionists, first there were herbivorous dinosaurs.
These then turned into small, carnivorous dinosaurs, and then into
birds. But this is nonsense because:
1. Carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs lived at the same time. There
was also a perfect bird, Archaeopteryx , living 150 million years ago
at the same time as dinosaurs.
2. Birds' lungs, feet, jaw, palate, tooth and bone structures are
entirely different to those of land-dwelling life forms.
3. The Darwinist Alan Feduccia, the world's most eminent
ornithologist, says this about the myth of dinosaurs evolving into
birds:
"Well, I've studied bird skulls for 25 years and I don't see any
similaritieswhatsoever. I just don't see it... The theropod origins of
birds, in my opinion, will be the greatest embarrassment of
paleontology of the 20th century."( New Scientist , 1 February, 1997,
p. 28)

THE INVALIDITY OF THE IDEA OF A TRANSITION FROM REPTILES TO MAMMALS
Darwinists attempt to portray therapsids with their two jaw bones as
an intermediate form between reptiles and mammals. But this claim is
invalid because:
1. There are animals with 1, 2 or 3 fingers. All life forms have
different skull bones. Therefore, having a different number of jaw
bones is no proof that this life form is a transitional one.
2. There exists not a single transitional form fossil to support this claim.
3. Mammals are warm-blooded and reptiles are cold-blooded. Mammals
give birth to and suckle their young, and their bodies are covered in
fur. Reptiles lay eggs, do not suckle their young and their bodies are
covered in scales.

THE INVALIDITY OF THE CLAIM THAT BACTERIALRESISTANCE TO ANTIBIOTICS IS
EVIDENCE OF EVOLUTION
1. There are countless kinds of bacteria. Some were created with the
genetic information thatprovides resistance to antibiotics "before
antibiotics had ever been produced." When bacteria are exposed to any
kind of antibiotic, those without resistanceto the antibiotic in
question die, while those with resistance survive and are able to
multiply.
2. Shortly afterwards, thesame bacterium species consists entirely of
individuals resistant to the antibiotic in question, and the
antibiotic is now ineffective against the bacterium.
3. But the bacterium is still the same bacterium, not a new species.
No evolution has taken place. Bacteria have been around on Earth for
3.5 billion years and are still the same bacteria.

THE CLAIM THAT THE LIGHT-SENSITIVE CELLS IN PARAMECIA IS A "PRIMITIVE EYE"
1. The eye of the trilobite that lived in the Cambrian Period 530
million years ago has thesame perfect faceted structure as that of the
modern-day dragonfly.
2. The perfect human eyeis too complex for its constituent components
to have evolved separately. It is essential for the 40 components of
the eye to be present together for sight to take place. Even the
absence of ocular fluid isalone for the eye not to function.
3. In a letter to his friend Asa Gray written on 3 April, 1860, Darwin
says, "The thought of the eye made me cold all over."
(Click for details)
THE CLAIM THAT "40,000 SPECIES DISAPPEAR EVERY YEAR AND 1,000 NEW SPECIES FORM"
1. The newly found species may already be living on Earth but not
discovered yet.
2. Or Allah creates a new species and people then discover it. Allah
creates from nothing, far from human eyes, in places where it cannot
be seen. Allah knows the truth. Allah creates as a miracle. But this
does not take place before people's eyes, in a zoo, for instance.
Unless Allah otherwise.
THE CLAIM THAT THERE WAS NO OXYGEN WHEN LIFE BEGAN AND THAT OXYGEN
APPEARED SUBSEQUENTLY
Darwinists never use oxygen in the experiments they conduct into the
origin of life. Because if an amino acid forms, oxygen will
immediately burn and destroy it. The Miller experiment was also
conducted without oxygen. They therefore deny the existence of oxygen
in the primordialatmosphere. But this is wrong because:
1. Rocks have been found dating back 3.5 million years and containing
oxidized ironand traces of uranium.
2. It is has been realized that 10,000 times more ultraviolet light
reached the Earth in this period than Darwinists estimated. Therefore,
it must have separated thewater vapor and carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere and released oxygen.
3. If, as Darwinists maintain, there was no oxygen in the
primordialatmosphere, then there would have been no ozone layer
protecting the Earth against ultraviolet light. In that case, it is
clear that no organic molecule would be able to survive on Earth
exposed to intenselevels of ultraviolet.

THE PERFECT EQUILIBRIUM IN THE ATOM
The nucleus of the atom consists of protons and neutrons. Protons and
neutrons are composed of quarks. And quarks have their own various
sub-particles.
1. The volume of the nucleus is just 1 part in 10 billion of that of
the atom. But the mass of the nucleus comprises 99.95% of that of the
atom. While representing almost all the mass, it takes up no space.
This is equivalent to squeezing all the objects in a 10 billion square
meter house into a 1 square meter room.
2. If the spaces between the atoms in the human body were eliminated,
then a human being would be a tiny speck a few thousandths of a
millimeter in size. A planet would be the size of a chick pea.
3. The only thing distinguishing the 109 fundamental elements is the
number of protons in their nuclei. Gold has 79 protons, an oxygen atom
8 and iron 26 protons.
4. If we magnified an atom to the size of the Earth, an electron would
be no bigger than an apple.
5. An electron orbits the nucleus at the extraordinary speed of 1,000
km a second. There is a huge amount of traffic but perfect order
within the atom. There is never any confusion and no collisions ever
take place. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

The coelacanth that evolutionists claim as a transitional form is living in the seas as a perfect life form

Fossils of living things such as the CÅ“lacanth , which evolutionists
heralded as an extinct transitional life form butwhich has been
realized to be still alive today as abottom-dwelling fish, paint a
striking picture that refutes the theory of evolution's scenario of
change.
The CÅ“lacanth , which according to the fossil record, dates back some
410 million years to the Devonian period, was regarded by
evolutionists as a powerful intermediate form between fish and
reptile. It had been mysteriously erased from the fossil record 70
million years ago, duringthe Cretaceous period, and was believed to
have become extinct at that time. The truth was very different,
however. Since 1938, more than 200 present-day CÅ“lacanths have been
caught , after that first one off South Africa. Thesecond came from
the Comoro Islands off north-west Madagascar in 1952, and a third in
Indonesian Sulawesi in 1998. The evolutionist paleontologist J. L. B.
Smith was unable to conceal his amazement at the capture of the first
CÅ“lacanth , saying,
"If I'd met a dinosaur in the street I wouldn't have been more
astonished." (Jean-Jacques Hublin, The Hamlyn Encyclopædia of
Prehistoric Animals , NewYork: The Hamlyn Publishing Group Ltd., 1984,
p. 120)
The capture of living CÅ“lacanths revealed thatthe claims regarding it
were nothing more thandeceptions. In addition, evolutionists had
always depicted the fish as living in shallow waters, as a potential
reptile preparing to crawl onto the land. Yet the CÅ“lacanth was now
found to be living in the deepest ocean waters—a bottom-dwelling
fishalmost never rising above 180 meters below the surface. You can
watch the CÅ“lacanth swimming as a perfect fish in today's deep oceans
in the video below.
The Anatomical Characteristics of the 400-Million-Year-Old
CÅ“lacanth Show That Evolution Never Happened
Anatomical investigations conducted following thecapture of live
CÅ“lacanths have revealed many findings that refute evolution. It has
been realized that the CÅ“lacanth that was living 400 years ago at a
time when supposed primitive life forms weremeant to have been living
p ossessed exceedingly complex features absent from many present-day
fish. One of these was the discovery that the CÅ“lacanth is sensitive
to electromagnetic currentsaround it indicates the presence of a
complex sensory organ. Looking at the nerves that connect the fish's
rostral organ to its brain, scientists agreed that this organ is
responsible for detecting electromagnetic currents.
Focus magazine described the astonishment of evolutionists in the face
of the complex nature and characteristics of the CÅ“lacanth as follows:
According to fossils, fish emerged some 470 million years ago. The
CÅ“lacanth emerged 60 million years after that. It is astonishing that
this creature, which would be expected to possess very primitive
features, actually has a most complex structure.
The CÅ“lacanth, which has been in existence for more than 400 million
years, is a fish that represents a terrible quandary for
evolutionists. The fact the CÅ“lacanth has not changed at allover the
course of 400 years refutes the claim that living things emerged
through evolution and are descended from one another. The
145-million-year-old CÅ“lacanth fossil shown above once again reveals
the profound gulf between land and sea animals, which evolutionists
seek to link to one another through an imaginary process of
transition.

Fathwa - Emission of slight wind from a woman’s front passage

Question
My question is on wind from the front passage offemales. I read in one
of your fatwas that the more correct view is that wind from the front
passage invalidates wudu and you also quotethe hadith - 'If a person
performed ablution, his ablution is not invalidated unless there is a
sound or a smell (of passing wind)." [Muslim]-However, i think most
women like me experience more of an 'air' or 'bubble' like sensation,
where it feels like tiny bubbles or wave of air is moving or passing
through the vagina or around the private parts - There is nosound and
no smell. Whatis the ruling on such a case.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
If a woman is certain thatwind has passed out from her front passage,
then her Wudhoo' (ablution) is invalidated according to the opinion we
adopt here in Islamweb. In this case, it is not stipulated that she
hears a sound or notices a smell; rather, the condition is to be
certain that wind has passed out.
An-Nawawi said: " Thewords of the Prophet , "until you hear a sound or
notice a smell" mean: until it is certainly knownthat one of them
(i.e. a sound or a smell) is present; but hearing and smelling are not
conditions (of Wudhoo' being ruled invalid) according to the consensus
of the Muslims. "
As for only having doubtsand feeling of air movingor bubbles existing
without being certain of passing out wind, then this requires nothing
anddoes not invalidate Wudhoo'. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Fathwa - When it is permissible to evade taxes

Question
Assalamualaikum, Please answer as soon as possible as closing date
isnear. We are to pay tax, but if we show Rent Receipt we get some tax
rebates. I donot own a house, I live in my fathershouse. I give 80% of
salary to him. Now to get the tax rebate, I made a LEGAL document
which shows I am paying him rent and he gave me VALID receipts also
with his signature. The transactions are valid (I give him money more
than I showed as rent) and the documents are valid, only thing is that
atthe time of giving moneymy intentions would not have been one of
giving rent. Now will this be considered as cheating for tax rebate.
Also, we get Medical Benefits. We purchase medicine and we donot ask
for receiptsat that time. I know I puchased the medicines of X amount
but I donot have bills. Now can I make a fake bill of this X amount
(it will be fake bill not fake transaction) and submit that. Last
one,if the taxes taken by govtare used by them in both halal and haram
uses should we pay them. And even if its collected for halal end but
becuase of rampant corruption much of that ends in pockets of
profiteers/corrupt politicians-beaureaucratsshould we still give tax.
Eagerly waiting for response. Thanks
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
The ruling of what you have asked about depends on the ruling of taxes
themselves as some of them are permissible and should be paid and itis
not permissible to look for ways to evade them. That is if the
treasury of acountry is unable to meetthe needs and interests of the
people and taxes are taken to meet such needs and fulfill those
interests. Accordingly, it is not permissible to evade paying them
through the tricks mentioned above nor through any other tricks. That
is because charging taxes is one of the matters that the general
interest requires and thus all should cooperate in it and comply with
what may achieve it.
However, if those taxes are illegitimate in the first place, and the
state takes them unjustly or spends them in illegal ways, then there
is no harm to evade them through such tricks and the like to ward off
oppression and remove harm with the available means. - - ▓███▓

Fathwa - He left his wife to live with a woman from whom he had two illegitimate children

Question
Before marriage I was with a girl out of wedlock, ive had two children
with the girl out of wedlock. I tried to keep it all quiet so I
couldkeep my family happy. Well eventually it all came out nd I saw no
other option to leave home. Now im with the girl out of wedlock
looking after my children. Ive become colse to the kids and I dont
want them to grow up without a dad. I am alone and without any family
or friends which I think I deserve for ehat I done. In my head the
kids shouldnt hsve to grow without me. But have I done right?? I need
advice plz
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
With regard to your question " ….have I done right? ", if by this you
refer to your illegal relationship with that girl, then there is no
doubt that it is forbidden, and you are obligated to immediatelyand
sincerely repent and cut this relationship with her, please refer to
the conditions of repentance in Fatwa 86527 .
But if you mean leaving your marital home, then if this leads to
leaving your wife and neglectingsome of her rights, or being negligent
about the rights of your children, then this is not permissible.
'Abdullaah ibn 'Amr narrated that the Prophet said: " It is enough a
sin for a personnot to provide sustenance to those whom he is
obligated to support. " [Abu Daawood]
Besides, the child born out of Zina (adultery or fornication) is not
traced back to the adulterer or fornicator, but he should be traced
back to his mother according to the view of the majority of the
jurists and this is the view we adopt here in Islamweb. Based on this
opinion, you have no relation with these two children in principle,
but some jurists are of the view that if the fornicator/adulterer
attributes these children to himself, then they are attributed to him
(they take the same family lineage like him). For more benefit, please
refer to Fataawa 84788 and 85430 .
If that girl sincerely repents, it becomes permissible for you to
marry her provided she makes sure that she is not pregnant (by
observing three menses according to the view of the scholars, or one
menses occording to another view) and provided you are able to be just
between her and your first wife. For more benefit, please refer to
Fataawa 83769 , 183497 and 81469 .
However, we recommendthat you take the initiative to solve your
problem; as disappearingand going away from your family and friends
will not benefit you in anything; rather, it will cause you harm. In
case someone tries to blame you for what you did, then remind him that
Allaah accepts the repentance of the one who repents and He forgives
and pardons. Besides, it is not permissible to reproach aMuslim or
harm him because of a sin from which he had repented. You should
remind them of the Hadeeth in which the Prophet said: '' O you who are
Muslims by tongue but 'Eemaan (faith) has not entered your hearts! Do
not harm the Muslims, and do not reproach them (because of their
defects) and do not pursue their faults (imperfections), because if
someone pursues the faults of his Muslim brother, Allaah will pursue
his faults, and he whom Allaah pursues his faults, He would disgrace
him even in his own dwelling. " [At-Tirmithi]
Finally, if you remain steadfast on obedience and you are sincere in
doing so, then this will urge the people to respect you and refrain
from reproaching you foryour past.
Allaah Knows best.

The best generations were the best to their parents

The early generations of Islam were the forerunners of the Muslim
nation since they excelled in all aspects of the religion: in their
acts of worship as well as their etiquette and manners with the people
around them.
They were especially devoted to their parents, as Aa'ishah recalled,
"Two of the Companions of the Prophet were the most dutiful in this
nation to their mothers: 'Uthmaan ibn 'Affaan and Haarithah ibn
An-Nu'maan . 'Uthmaan ibn 'Affaan said: 'Ever since I became a Muslim,
I never dared to look my mother in the eye' and as for Haarithah Ibn
An-Nu'maan he used to feed his mother with his own hands and would
never ask her to repeat herself if he did not understand her words,
but rather, he would ask those with him in the room after sheleft."
Once Ibn 'Umar both, was travelling and he met a bedouin on the way,
so he gave him a ride on his donkey, then he gave him his turban, Ibn
Deenaar said, "Wesaid to Ibn 'Umar both,he is a bedouin, and a little
satisfies them" so hereplied, "His father was a close friend of 'Umar
ibn Al-Khattaab, and I heard the Prophet, saying: "The best
dutifulness is when the son is kind to his father's close friends."
[Muslim]."
Some other stories that have reached us of the Taabi'oon (the
generation following theCompanions) and their kindness and good
treatment of their parents are as follows:
● Al-Fadhl bin Yahya was kind to his father, who habitually made
ablution with warm water. When they were both imprisoned, the jailer
forbade Al-Fadhl to kindle fire to heat water for his father, so he
drewa brass vessel full of water near a lamp; when morning came the
water had become hot and thushis father could make ablution with it.
The jailer then forbade him to heat water by using the lamp, so he
took the vessel to his bed and attached it to his stomach; when
morning came the water had become slightly warm.
● Hafsah bint Sireen used to ask forgiveness for her son Huthayl, and
say, "Huthayl used to bring sugar cane and dry it out during the
summer so that it would give no smoke when burnt. When winter came, he
would quietly light a fire with this dried cane behind me while I was
praying during the night, just enough to warm me without me being
disturbed by its smoke. I would say to him: 'O son! Go to your family
tonight', and he would reply: 'They do not need anything'; so I would
allow him to stay and he would sometimes stay until morning."
● Muhammad ibn 'Abdur-Rahmaan was very dutiful to his father and
whenever his father would call him, he would not answer him while
sitting down, but would jump up and rush to stand next to his head
(while he was lying down) to reply to his requests, and if he did not
understand then he would not ask him for an explanation but would ask
others with them in the room out of respect.
● Az-Zubayr ibn Hishaam was very dutiful to hisfather, and whenever he
received cold water (for drinking) in the summer, he would first taste
it, if he found it cold enough, then he would send to his father.
● 'Awn ibn 'Abdullaah was called by his mother once, and when he
answered his voice was alittle too loud, so he freed two slaves for
atonement.
● Haywah ibn Shurayh was a great Muslim scholar. Once, while he was
giving a lecture, his mother called him and said: "O Haywah! Get up

The eternal enemy - II

Satan deceives the Muslim in several ways that he follows in order, so
that if he fails to deceive him through the first way, he moves to
thesecond, and so on. Ibn Al-Qayyim said,
Satan's evil is limited to six categories that he uses with the son of
Aadam till he traps him inone or more of them. Thefirst evil is the
evil of disbelief, polytheism, andenmity toward Allaah TheAlmighty and
His Messenger . If he succeeds in dragging man into this, his pain is
assuaged and he is spared hard work with him. This is the first aim he
wants to achieve fromthe slave until he commits a share of it.
If Satan despairs of him in this respect and the person is destined to
be aMuslim since he was in the womb of his mother, Satan would move to
the second category of evil, i.e. religious innovation which is more
loveable tohim than immorality and sins. That is because the harm of
religious innovation affects the religion itself, and this is a
transitive harm. If Satanfails to take man to this level, he would
move to the third category of evil,i.e. major sins with their various
forms. Satan is very keen to make man fall into the major sins. If he
fails, he would move to the fourth category, i.e. minor sins which, if
accumulated, destroy those who do them, as the Prophet said: "Beware
of committing minor sins, for they accumulate till they destroy the
man. It is like a man who camped in the wilderness, and one man
brought a stick, another man brought a stick, and so on, until they
accumulated a lot, then they lit a fire and cooked their food."
[Saheeh]
If Satan fails in this level, he would move to the fifth category, he
would busy the man with lawfulthings that command no reward or
punishment. The consequence of such things lies in missing the reward
for the acts that these things distracted him from. If Satan fails in
this level and the man made good use of his time and he is aware of
the value of his breaths and their loss and the corresponding bliss
and punishment, Satan wouldmove to the sixth category, i.e. busying
the man with less virtuous acts at the expense of more virtuous ones.
By doing so, Satan takes virtue away from the man and makes him lose
the reward of highly virtuous acts by enticing and urging him to do
lessvirtuous acts and beautifying them for himshould this involve
leaving a more and higher virtuous act.
If Satan fails in the six categories and feels powerless, he lets his
assistants from humans and jinn attack the man with all sorts of harm,
accusations of disbelief, misguidance, and religious innovation and
warning people about him. Satan resorts to this method in order to
extinguish man's enthusiasm, confuse his heart, busy his thoughts, and
prevent people from benefiting from him. Therefore, Satan
uninterruptedly devotes his endeavors to instigating the falsifiers
from human and jinn devils at him.'
Mu'aath sighed and said,"What is the way out then, Shaykh Yoosuf?"
Shaykh Yoosuf replied quickly, "Scholars mentioned several
fortifications that I will tell you about briefly.
1. Seeking refuge with Allaah The Almighty from Satan. Allaah The
Almighty Says (what means): {And if there comes to you from Satan an
evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allaah. Indeed, He is the
Hearing,the Knowing.} [Quran 41:36]
2. Reading Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Naas.
3. Reading Ayat-ul-Kursi (Verse of the Chair).
4. Reading the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.
5. Reading Surah Al-Baqarah.
6. Saying "La ilaaha illa Allaah, wahdahu la shareeka lah,
lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadeer"(There
is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah. Heis One and He has no
partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His isthe praise, and He
is Omnipotent)" one hundred times. It was narrated on the authorityof
Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said:
"A Muslim who says "La ilaaha illa Allaah, wahdahu la shareeka
lah,lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadeer
(There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah. He is One and He
has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His isthe praise,
and He is Omnipotent)" one hundred times a day, he will have a reward
equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds
will be recorded to his credit, a hundred of his sins will be erased
from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the Devil on that
day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more
excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more
often than him." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
7. One of the most useful fortifications from Satan is frequent
remembrance of Allaah, the Almighty.
8. Avoiding unnecessary looking, talk, food, and mixing with
people, since Satan dominates the son of Aadam and achieves his aim
from him through these four channels.
9. Ablution and prayer are among the strongest
fortifications from Satan.
10. Purification of listening or keeping one's ear away from
listening to falsehood.
11. Spending in the Cause of Allaah The Almighty.
12. Following the authentic Sunnah (Prophetic tradition). Thisis
the most important cure for possessed people. Imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim
said, "Whoever wants to get rid of this scourge, should be certain
that the right course is to follow the Messenger of Allaah in words
and actions, and be determined to follow his way with no doubt that he
is following the right path. He should be certain that disobeying him
is a result of Satan's insinuation and whisperings and that Satan is
an enemy to him and does not call him to any form of goodness; rather,
he calls his party to be denizens of the Blazing Fire."
"Now, do you think that you are able to confront Satan, or that you
are not, Mu'aath?"
Mu'aath answered enthusiastically, "Of course, I will be able to
confront him and defeat him as well — Allaah willing." - - ▓███▓

The eternal enemy - I

Mu'aath came on time to meet Shaykh Yoosuf as usual to learn something
new about adherence to Islam. Shaykh Yoosuf met him with much
affection and cheerfulness and they sat together. ShaykhYoosuf began
to speak, saying, "How are you, Mu'aath?"
Mu'aath replied with a smile, "Very well, Shaykh Yoosuf. And you?"
Shaykh Yoosuf replied, "Praise be to Allaah! I am in the best of
conditions. We will go directly to ourtopic today because it is
serious and extremely important."
Mu'aath straightened up and said expectantly, "Shaykh Yoosuf, what is
this topic?"
Shaykh Yoosuf replied in a grave voice, "It is the barriers or
obstacles of adherence to Islam that the practising Muslim faces on
his way to AllaahThe Almighty. The first of these obstacles is the
devil. Listen, Mu'aath! It isan eternal enmity and everlasting hatred
and incessant temptation until the coming of the Hour. These words
brieflyexpress the feelings that the devil harbors for us since his
expulsion from Paradise. He was expelledfrom it, and rather expelled
from the Mercy of Allaah The Almighty when he refused to prostrate
himself to our ancestor Aadam (Adam) and behaved arrogantly. Ever
since that moment, Satan harbors enmity toward the children of Aadam
and tries his best to bar them from the path of their Lord and
overturn them in Hell, as will be done to him on the Day of
Resurrection – Allaah willing.
The devil has no direct authority over man, but he takes advantage of
man's ignorance and the ardent desire of his soul to gratify its
needs. So, the devil beautifies the ideas and actions that agree with
its inclination, persistently whispers andtempts it, which in turn
exerts pressure on the heart till it submits to it and takes the
decision that complies with its whim.
Therefore, Allaah The Almighty warned us against following the devil
and informed us that he beautifies the action for the soul gradually
so as not to confront stiff resistance. Allaah The Almighty says (what
means): } O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of
Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins
immorality and wrongdoing. { [Quran 24:21] Allaah The Almighty reminds
us of the role of the devil, saying (what means):
} And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them
from the path. { [Quran 29:38]
} Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not
promise them except delusion. { [Quran 4:120]
} But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was
concealed from them of their private parts .} [Quran 7:20]
The Quran alerts us that the devil, in crucial moments and after
beautifying evil deeds forman until he commits them, deserts him.
Allaah The Almighty says (what means):
} And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and
said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and
indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each
other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated
from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allaah. And
Allaah is severe in penalty." { [Quran 8:48]
} [The hypocrites are] likethe example of Satan when he says to
man,"Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says,"Indeed, I am
disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allaah, Lordof the Worlds." {
[Quran 59:16]
On the Day of Judgment, the devil will remind his followers that he
had no authority over them, but he just invited their souls to evil
and they answered him. Allaah TheAlmighty says (what means): } And
Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed,Allaah had
promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed
you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and
you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I
cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be calledto my aid. Indeed,
I deny your association of me [with Allaah] before. Indeed, for the
wrongdoers is a painful punishment." { [Quran 14:22]

Dought & clear, - He works in a companythat stores files of various companies, including insurance companies and riba-based banks.

I work in a company whose main work is storage of files and documents
belonging to various companies, but these companies includebanks and
insurance companies. I work in thewarehouse, carrying the boxes that
contain the files and putting them inthe right place, then when there
is a request for any box, I bring it. Please note that every client of
the company has his own number andI only know a few of the client.
What is the ruling on my work?
Praise be to Allah.
As this storage of files belonging to the companies is something that
helps the companiesto do their work, because these files undoubtedly
contain everything that they need of contracts, accounts, documents
and other things that are essential to their business;
And as these companies include insurance companies and riba-based
banks, your work in storing these files is regarded as cooperating
with the insurance companies and riba-based banks in their haraam
work. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness
and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And
fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment"[al-Maa'idah 5:2].
What the Muslim must do is give up disobeying Allah, may He be
exalted, and not help the sinner in his sin. You stated thatyou only
know a few of the clients. Based on that, you cannot avoid falling
into haraam (which is helping the insurance companies and riba-based
banks) except by leaving this job, because it is a mixture of halaal
and haraam work, and you are certain that you are inevitably falling
into haraam.
If a person gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will
compensate him with something better than it.
We will quote to you some of the fatwas of the scholars that have to
do with your issue, so that you will understandthat the least
cooperation with these riba-based organisationscomes under the heading
of cooperating or helping in sin and transgression, which is something
that Allah, may He be exalted, has forbidden to His believing slaves.
The Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas was asked about a person who
works as a guard ina bank.
They replied: It is not permissible for a Muslim to work as a guard in
banks that deal with riba, because this comes under the heading of
co-operating in sin and transgression, which Allah has forbidden as He
says (interpretation of the meaning): "but donot help one another in
sin and transgression" [al-Maa'idah 5:2]. And most of the banks deal
with riba. End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa'imah, 15/43
The Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas was also asked:
I work as a typist and sometimes I am asked to type letters to some
banks to carry out some transactions, including cases where the
company lends the bank (or borrows from it) a sum of money with a
commission of such and such a percentage of thevalue of the loan. I
hope that you can advise me as to how Islamically acceptable this work
is with regard to writing these letters.
They replied: Your work recording riba-based transactions is haraam
and the money that you receive in return for thatis also haraam. It is
narrated in a saheeh report that the Prophet (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays
it, the one who writes it down and the two who witness it. What you
must do is giveup this job, because in that which is halaal there is
sufficient so thatone has no need of that which is haraam. If a person
gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him
with something better than it.End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa'imah, 15/60
The committee was also asked:
I work for Aramco in the housing department. This department gives
loans to build accommodation for the workers. These loans
areriba-based according to a fatwa from you. My work in this
department has to do with allocationof land and I have nothing to do
with signing loans, witnessing them and so on. Is there any sin on me
because of my work in this department which gives riba-based loans?
They replied:
If the situation is as you describe, that your workis in allocating
land and not in giving riba-based loans, then your work does not have
anything to do with riba directly, but it involves working with those
who do deal with riba directly, and that is not permissible, because
it comes under the heading of co-operating in sin and transgression.
End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa'imah, 15/17-18
The following question was also sent to the committee:
I work as an accountant in a newspaper. This newspaper publishes a
page every day that gives news about actors and entertainers, both
male and female. Is there anything wrong with my salary?
They replied:
Most of the news about actors and entertainers, both male and female,
speaks of their evil and deviant ways. It also promotes idle pursuits
and spreads temptation and promotes evil and corruption and other
things that are abhorrent and take away dignity and moral values.
Undoubtedly working in such fields is not permissible because it
involves co-operating in sin and transgression. Based on that, it is
not permissible to take this as a means of earning a living. There are
many ways of earning a living,so one should fear one's Lord. Allah,
may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a
way for him to get out (from every difficulty).
3. And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine"
[al-Talaaq 65:2-3]
"And whosoever puts histrust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.
Verily, Allaah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allaah has set a
measure for all things"
[al-Talaaq 65:2-3].
End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa'imah, 15/52-53
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) said:
Dealing with riba is haraam for companies, banks and individuals. It
is not permissible for theMuslim to take a job in places that deal
with riba, even if their dealing with it is minimal, because the one
who works in these organisations and placesthat deal with riba will be
cooperating with them in sin and transgression, and co-operating with
those who deal in riba is also subject to the curse, because the
Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah has
cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who
witness it and the one who writes it down." End quote.

Dought & clear, - How can a seeker of knowledge make a schedule to organise his time?.

Can you advise me as to how a seeker of knowledge can make a schedule
to organise his time?
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
The status of the seeker of Islamic knowledge is great in Islam.
Allah, mayHe be blessed and exalted, has praised knowledge and those
who seek it, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Say: Are those who know equal to those who know not?' It is only men
of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allahs
Signs and Verses)"
[az-Zumar 39:9]
"It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah"
[Faatir 35:28].
It was narrated that Humayd ibn 'Abd ar-Rahmaan said: I
heardMu'aawiyah say, when he was delivering a khutbah: I heard the
Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say:
"When Allaah wills good for a person, He deepenshis knowledge of
Islam.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (71) and Muslim (1037).
It was narrated that 'Abu'd-Darda' said: I heard the Messenger of
Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever follows
a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allaah will make easy forhim a
path to Paradise. The angels lower their wings in approval of the
seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth prays
for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge, even the fish in the sea.
The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the
superiority of the moon over all other heavenly bodies. The scholars
are the heirs of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind
dinars or dirhams, rather they left behind knowledge, so whoever takes
it has taken a great share."
Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (2682), Abu Dawood (3541) and Ibn Maajah
(223); classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Targheeb, 1/17
Islamic knowledge brings a person the good of this world and of the
Hereafter; it takes precedence over all other branches of knowledge,
especially if one's intention is pure.
See the answer to question no. 10471
Secondly:
The best thing you can spend your time on when beginning to seek
knowledge is memorising the Book of Allah, may He be glorified and
exalted. This is the best thing in which people may compete and
strive, and it is the best thing on which the seeker of knowledge may
focus his efforts.
See the answer to question no. 14035 for information on the advantages
of memorising the Book of Allah.
See the answers to questions no. 7966 and 11561 for information on the
basic principles ofmemorising the Book of Allah.
Thirdly:
One of the things that will make things easier for the seeker of
knowledge is to have many shaykhs and scholars from whom he can learn.
The quickest way to seek knowledge and the best way to attain the goal
is if Allah makes it easy for him to find one shaykh or scholar among
the scholars of the Sunnah, from whom he may acquire knowledge
directly. See the answer to question no. 22037 .
Fourthly:
With regard to organising your time, it may be as follows.
(a)
Have fixed times for regular things every day, such as a time for
sleeping, a time for meals, a time for visits, a time for gatherings,
a time for revision.
(b)
One of the things that will help you make the most of your time and
save time is to put a stopto time wasters such as sleeping, eating and
drinking too much, or meeting people except for Islamically beneficial
purposes. You should also avoid time wasters such as means of
entertainment like TV shows, soap operas, newspapers, magazines,
games, sports matches and competitions.
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The seeker of knowledge must make the most of his time and avoid
wasting time. Wasting time may take the following forms:
1. Failing to review and revise what he reads
2. Sitting with his friends and engaging in idle talk in which is no benefit
3. The most harmful time waster for the seeker of knowledge is
when he has no interest except finding out aboutpeople, what they are
saying and what they are doing, with regard to a matter that does
notconcern him. This undoubtedly stems from a weakness of commitment
to Islam, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon
him) said: "Part of a person's beinga good Muslim is leaving alone
that which does not concern him." Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 2318;
classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.
Focusing on who said what and asking a lot of questions is a waste of
time. In fact it is a kind of sickness which if it affects a person –
we askAllah to keep us safe andsound – will become his main focus and
concern and he may end up showing a hostile attitude towards one who
does not deserve enmity, or he may be friendly towards one who does
not deserve friendship, because of his interest in these matters that
are distracting him from seeking knowledge, on the grounds that this
is part of supporting the truth. But that is not the case; rather this
comes under the heading of being distracted by that which does not
concern one. But if news comes to you without you seeking it or
looking for it, everyone receives news but you should notbe
preoccupied with it or focus on it, because this causes distraction
for the seeker of knowledge and may confuse him, and it opens the door
to partisanship and division amongst the ummah.
Kitaab al-'Ilm, p. 143-144
(c)
Another matter that is detrimental to the issue of organising one's
time and making the most of it is procrastination. Procrastination is
a severe disease that deprives one of many good things in this world
and in the Hereafter.
(d)
One of the best ways of succeeding in this world is to keep yourself
busy at all times with that which is best for you and most beneficial
for you in the Hereafter, as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on
him) said:The best act of worship is to strive to please the Lord at
all times by doing that which is mostappropriate and is expected at
any particular time.
Madaarij as-Saalikeen, 1/88
(e)
Investing one's time as much as one can and notwasting a single moment
in anything thatis not an act of obedience or worship. Our early
generations (may Allah have mercy on them) set an amazingexample of
making the most of their time. All seekers of Qur'anic knowledge were
keen to study under Abu Na'eem al-Asfahaani (d. 430) and every day one
of them would have his turn and he would studywhatever he wanted with
the Shaykh until just before Zuhr. Then when he got up to go home,
another student might recite a juz' to himon the way (for him to
listen and correct), and he never showed any impatience.
Saleem ar-Raazi was a Shaafa'i. One day he went home and came back,
and he said: I recited a juz' on my way.Al-Haafiz adh-Dhahabi (may
Allah have mercy on him) said in his biography of al-Khateeb
al-Baghdaadi: The khateeb used to walk with a juz' in his hand, which
he would study.
For forty years, Ibn 'Asaakir (may Allah have mercy on him) – as his
son said – did not focus on anything except matters of knowledge, even
during his free time or when he was alone. He always had with him
books of knowledge and the Qur'an, which he would read and memorise.
They were always keen to make the most of their time by doing more
than one thing at the same time. If the penbecame blunt and he needed
to sharpen it, one of them would move his lips with remembrance of
Allah whilst fixing his pen, or he would review things that he had
memorised lest any time pass without him doing something useful.
Abu'l-Wafa' 'Ali ibn 'Aqeel (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I do
not allow myself to waste even one hour of my life; even when I am not
reading anything or reciting anything, I would think whilst I am
resting of some issues of knowledge and I will notget up until I have
come up with something I can write down.
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:I know someone who
fell sick with a headacheand fever, and his book was beside his head.
When he was awake he would read, and when he fell asleep he would put
it down.
(f)
With regard to making aschedule and organisingone's time, that may be
done as follows:
1.
The program of the seeker of knowledge begins at dawn, which isthe
time for memorisation of Qur'an and hadeeth. The best time for
memorising – especially memorising Qur'an – is the time just before
dawn and after Fajr prayer, when the mind is clear and it is easier to
memorise. So the seeker of knowledgeprays in the mosque andremains
there until sunrise or afterwards, memorising and reviewing what he
has memorised. When he has finished that, he begins to memorise
textsof knowledge – the textsof hadeeth, fiqh, usool and Arabic
language.
2.
If he has a job or is in school, he goes to it. Otherwise he spends
the rest of the morning memorising and revisinguntil Zuhr, then he
takes a siesta and rests a little.
3.
As for the afternoon, it isfor studying and reading, or studying with
others, or discussion and reviewing issues of knowledge with others.
4.
After Maghrib, he attends study circles and after 'Isha' he reviews
what he has learnt or he may read a new book.
It should be noted that what we have mentioned here comes under the
heading of organising time in general terms. Each student should
organise his time according to his circumstances, whether he is
working or not, whether he is married orsingle, whether he devotes all
his time to Islamic knowledge or he has some other preoccupations, and
so on. What matters with regard to organising time is that there
should be some hours of the day and night in which he makes himself
memorise and read. People tend to want to rest and like to be somewhat
lazy, so he should train himself to work hard and be active, and he
should make himself get used to being organised and adhere to doing
acts of worship and obedience. Otherwise he will have wasted his day
and then he will have wasted his life.

Islamic Stories - Face or Feet?

Once a Muslim scholar was flying to a country with an airplane. When
the time for salah came, he went to the bathroom to make wudhu
(ablution). Since, the bathrooms in airplanes are very small, he had to
open the door to lift up his foot to the sink. An air hostess cameto
him and told him not to wash his feet in the sink because they are
dirty. The scholar calmly asked the hostess "How many times do you
washyour face?" The hostess replied "Usually once or twice." Then the
scholar replied "I wash my feet five times a day for prayers.
Therefore, my feet are cleaner than your face."
The purpose of this storyis not to get a good laugh. However, it
teaches us how regular we should be about prayers. - - ▓███▓
