I'm still in Vancouver for a martial arts seminar, and it's so
beautiful here.Mountains, rivers, trees, beaches, shining buildings,
and perfect weather. When Allah has given a people so much, they will
be accountable for what they did with their blessings.
Are we doing what we should with our blessings? Are we grateful? Do we
share? Do we proclaim the truth? Are we fulfilling our potentials?
If not, then there is no better time to begin thanright now, this
moment. Choose one small way to be a better Muslim, and implement it
in your life today. That's how it starts. The road to Jannahbegins
with the first step. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Accountable for Our Blessings
Get Up and Do Your Thing
Life has been challenginglately. In July I've faced some financial
setbacks, and also some personal setbacks that have hit mehard, and
drained me emotionally to the point where sometimes I just sit in my
padded computer chair and don'tfeel like getting up. I feel like I
hardly have the energy to get up and prepare some food to eat, let
alone pray, work, go to class, care for my daughter…
And yet I do get up. I go out and teach a 2.5 hour martial arts class
and I doit with vigor, because my students are looking to me for
guidance and inspiration. I get up and do my volunteer job at the
Muslim community center. I get up and take my daughter to the lake or
the masjid, and have atea party with her, and read her the latest
chapter of "Fish Face". I laugh with her and love her with everything
I've got, because she needs me. I don't have time for self-pity.
I get up and do my thing, because that's what it is to be a man (or
woman), to be a father (or mother), to be a Muslim, to be a friend, to
be alive! You get up and do what you have to do. Youpick your foot up
and take a step, then lift the other one and take another step, and
before you know it you are moving ahead, and time has passed and your
problems have diminished and don't hurt quite so much, or maybe you
have overcome them entirely, because you are experiencing the joy of
life. Your love for Allah, and your gratitude, and your attentiveness
to the beauty and blessings around you, all wash the pain away like a
river.
That's what it is to be alive. SubhanAllah.
So, to all those reading this now, I send you light and love, and I
know thatno matter what physical or emotional aches you are
experiencing, you will rise each morning with gratitude, you will take
a step and move ahead, you will love and laugh, you will push
self-pity to the side and live your lives with commitment, in the
shorttime that we all have on this beautiful ball of brown and blue.
One last note: Eat healthyfoods, drink water and – very important –
get enough sleep. These are all critical to maintaining an emotional
balance and moving forward in life with a positive attitude.

A response to a pro-evolution program on Dem TV and the Darwinist nonsense on it
The program Train of Thought , aired on Dem TV on 14 November, 2009,
carried a number of accounts regarding the theory of evolution. The
producers of and participants in the program must have been in a huge
panic at the recent body blow dealt to Darwinism, for they sought a
solution inreiterating tales that we have been hearing for the last
150 years.
The interesting thing about the program was that ALL THE PARTICIPANTS
WERE DARWINISTS. A second notable feature was thatTELEPHONE
PARTICIPATIONWAS ABSOLUTELY BANNED.Questions and messages from people
holding opposite views were carefully not read out. To put it another
way, the program was designed "to make easy evolutionist propaganda,
while allowing no room for any other opinions." Thereason for this was
of course that DARWINISTS WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPREHENSIVELY ROUTEDIN THE
FACE OF THE EVIDENCE FOR CREATION.
This is a well known characteristic of Darwinists. Since they are well
aware that they will be defeated in the face of the evidence, they
take care great careto avoid it. Richard Dawkins, the Darwinist and
atheist, has done the same thing. Dawkins has refused the challenge of
a face-to-face debate, reiterated by Adnan Oktar many times and even
publicized in an announcement in THE TIMES , one of Britain's highest
circulation dailies, with the words " I DO NOT DEBATE WITH
CREATIONISTS." Dawkins has no hesitation about debating with
secondaryschool students or priests , but FOR SOME REASON REFUSES TO
DEBATE WHEN THE SUBJECT IS ONE OF THESCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.
Similar things have happened on discussion programs attended by Adnan
Oktar on various channels or in which he planned to part. Although
Adnan Oktar and various Darwinists in Turkey were invited to appear on
the Habertürk channel program "Uncensored," the Darwinists in
questions ANNOUNCED THAT THEY PREFERRED TO APPEAR ALONE. They made it
absolutely clear THEY WOULD REFUSE TO APPEAR in the event that Adnan
Oktar or any of his colleagues did so. One individual, well known in
Turkey for his Darwinist and atheist views, elected to participate by
phone, onthe grounds that he was out of town. He was given a special
guarantee THAT THE OTHER SIDE WOULD ASK HIM NO QUESTIONS AND OFFER NO
ANALYSIS during his participation. A similar state of affairs arose
with another discussion program on another channel to which Adnan
Oktar and that same Darwinist were invited to appear. Adnan Oktar
happily accepted the invitation, while the individual representing the
other point of view HAS BEEN UNAVAILABLE EVER SINCE.
Uncensored, 21.08.2009
Adnan Oktar constantly reiterates his proposal for a face-to-face
debatewith these people on the live programs on which he appears. But
neither Dawkins nor any other Darwinists ARE WILLING TO GO TOE TO TOE
WITH ADNAN OKTAR.
The reason for this IS THAT ADNAN OKTAR HAS TOTALLY DISCREDITED THE
THEORY OF EVOLUTION WITH CERTAIN, CLEAR AND STUNNING EVIDENCE.
IT IS A COMPLETE CERTAINTY that Darwinists going up against Adnan
Oktar WILL BE UTTERLY ROUTED. Because Adnan Oktar backs up his words
with powerful scientific evidence that cannot be refuted. Darwinists
POSSESS NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE. Darwinists' lack of any
evidence was first exposed in such a clear and evident manner by Adnan
Oktar. THAT IS WHY DARWINISTS IN TURKEY AND ACROSS THE WORLD REFUSE TO
APPEAR AGAINST ADNAN OKTAR.
This DEFEATISM AND WRETCHEDNESS, this DESPAIR in the face of the
absolute collapse of Darwinism, can now be seen everywhere. Even
programs that carry intense Darwinist propaganda and permit no
opposing views to beaired in order
to save evolution from defeat are places where this Darwinist
defeatism, despair and helplessnesscan clearly be seen. THE DEFEATISM
RESULTING FROM AN INABILITY TO POINT TO ANY EVIDENCE and THE COLLAPSE
AND DEFEAT OF DARWINISM, that has now lost the glory of its heyday,
are openly declared all over the place. The time has now come for
Darwinism to take its place a comic element inthe history books. Our
advice to those scientistswho still strive to bring Darwinist theory
back tolife, is that it is still not too late to put their error
right, and that the most virtuous thing to do will be to abandon this
false belief once they have seen that evolution is utter nonsense.
In our next article you can find our responses to the claims made in
the program in question on Dem TV. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Darwinist publications are now admitting the harm done to the world by Darwinist corruption
A subject that Adnan Oktar discussed in his book The Social
Weapon:Darwinism , first published in 2004, and later in a number of
articles in the wake of a number of subsequent developments, has now,
years later, appeared in world famous Darwinist publications. The
subjectis the school massacres that Darwinist corruption has brought
with it. The common feature of the large number of school massacres
concerned is that they were perpetrated by young students "in the name
ofevolution" and in the name of "natural selection."
The Timesonline web site set the connection between Darwinism and the
killings in question out on 8 November, 2009, while in Turkey daily
Haberturk also covered the story on 9 November, 2009, under the
caption "High SchoolKillings down to Darwin." The fact is, however,
that the massacres in question took place at various intervals over
the previous 10 years. Furthermore, the young people doing the
shooting in all these massacres announced that they were doing so
because of Darwinism. Each one believed, as a requirement of Darwinist
ideology, that the weak needed to be eliminated and destroyed. Because
they regarded their friends and teachers as animals, it was not hard
to slaughter them with thatmindset. On the contrary, they thought that
killing these people would contribute to society and the future.
Darwinism is just such a perverted belief. It has been around since
ancient Sumerian times and assumed the form ofa dictatorship, with
masonic support and propaganda, in the wake of Darwin's the Origin of
Species , since when it has constantly wreaked devastation on society.
Under the rule ofcommunist and fascist dictators with a huge
admiration for Darwin, the world wars were where Darwinist ideology
has been fully implemented. Three hundred fifty million people were
martyred or slaughtered in these conflicts. This terrible bloodshed is
the most savage consequence of heretical Darwinist ideology. These
great world wars have now been replaced by murders, massacres, civil
conflicts, degeneration and racism. School massacres are a further and
terrifying dimensionof this devastation and destruction wreaked by
Darwinism.
If a young person regards his family, friends, teachers and other
people as animals, if he believes that everything in his life, himself
included, is the work of chance, and if he thinks that the strongmust
survive while the weak are eliminated anddestroyed, then it is
veryeasy for such a young person to slaughter someone he "regards as
unnecessary and worthless according to natural selection." The person
concerned may be his mother, teacher or best friend. In his eyes, each
is just a kind of animal. It is impossible, unless Allah wills
otherwise, to win such a person over with such subjects as moral
virtue, family values, altruism, love, affection or compassion.
Because such a person's ideology and perspective on the world are
totally different. In order for such a person to understand love and
affection he would have to posses love and fear of Allah, and love of
man. But these two beliefs have no place in the Darwinist mindset.
Therefore, the young person must first be freed from that Darwinist
mindset if he is to be taught love and moral virtue.
Such a young person willonly begin to think normally once he knows
that all beings are not created by chance and that it is Almighty
Allah Who created him and all those around him. He will realize that
Allah hasbrought him into the world for a purpose, that he lives for a
reasonand that there is wisdombehind the fact of death. He will realize
that Allah bestows constant blessings on him throughout his life. He
will realize that there is not a moment of chance in his existence or
life. He will be held to account by Allah for every moment of his life
and will be responsible for all the blessings bestowed on him. Because
an eternal life awaits him in the Hereafter. In order to deserve that
greatest happiness in life, Paradise, one must strivethroughout one's
life to earn Allah's approval and strive to posses the moral virtues
that are pleasing to Allah. Only then can such a person become aware
that all entities bear the spirit ofAllah, that all beings are
manifestations of the beauty of Allah, and that we need to strive for
theHereafter. Only then can such a person be told about moral virtue,
love, affection, loyalty and compassion. Belief in Allah will recreate
such aperson as an individual full of peace and love and with a brand
new, immaculate perspective. He will finally abandon all feelings of
destruction, fear and hatred, brought with it by Darwinist ideology,
infavor of feelings of love, affection and friendship.
Those who stand up and say, "Darwinism is a thing of the past, so
whydo people regard it as a threat?" must realize what society becomes
because of Darwinism. They must see that there will be no more wars,
civil conflicts, terror, murder or slaughter in the world if Darwinism
iseradicated from it. They must realize that moral evils such as
Darwinism and degeneration, hatred and anger, the consequences of the
irreligion inflicted by Darwinism, will all come to an end. Darwinism
is the fundamental source of all the scourges and unrest afflicting
the world today. For that reason it is essential to wage an
intellectual campaign against this pagan and heretical religion until
Darwinism has vanished from the world.
Almighty Allah reveals in verses that:
Allah has given you wives from among yourselves, and given you
children and grandchildren from yourwives, and provided good things
for you. So why do they believe in falsehood and reject the blessings
of Allah, and worship, instead of Allah, things that have no control
over their provision from the heavens or Earth in any way, and are
themselves completely impotent? Donot try to make metaphors for Allah.
Allah knows and you do not know. (Surat an-Nahl, 72-74)

Devout Jews are our brothers, who hold to a sincere faith of the oneness of Allah, and entrusted to us by him
Almighty Allah created the entire universe and everything in it from
nothing. All living things in this world are born and die, and
everything has an allotted life span. There is nothing in the universe
that will not cease to exist nor any living thing that is immortal. As
revealed in the Qur'an, Allah is the First and the Last (Surat
al-Hadid, 3). He has no beginning and no end. Allah, Lord of the
Worlds,is the lord of all infinity and above time and space. He
existed before all things and will exist after them.
Everything that lives will one day cease to live and return to the
earth. The universe will one day come to an end. It is our Almighty
Lord Who is immortal and Who willexist for ever. Infinity lies in Him
alone.
Allah, the Creator of the entire universe, living orinanimate, is the
"Hayy," He Who is always alive, Who controls all things at all
moments, the omniscient, the all-powerful, He Who is unfettered by
deficiency. No servant has any power to do anything unless Allah so
wills, and cannot remain in this world for a second longer than Allah
wills. Almighty Allah reveals in the verses of the Qur'an that there
is no other god than Him:
Your God is One God. There is no god but Him, the All-Merciful, the
Most Merciful. (Surat al-Baqara, 163)
Allah bears witness that there is no god but Him, as do the angels and
the people of knowledge, upholding justice. There is no god but Him,
the Almighty, the All-Wise. (Surah Al 'Imran, 18)
Allah says, "Do not take two gods. He is only One God. So dread Me
alone."(Surat an-Nahl, 51)
Say: "He is Allah, Absolute Oneness." (Surat al-Ikhlas, 1)
He is Allah. There is no god but Him. Praise be to Him in this world
and the Hereafter. Judgment belongs to Him. You will be returned to
Him. (Surat al-Qasas, 70)
Islam is a monotheistic faith. Muslims with a sincere devotion to
Allahbelieve, as required in Islam, IN THE ONENESS OF ALLAH, THAT HE
IS THE SOLE LORD of the earth and sky and all that lies between, and
that THERE IS NO OTHER CREATOR THAN ALLAH . According to the Qur'an,
those whoascribe equals to Allah, who slander Him saying that Allah
"had a son," (surely Allah is beyond that) or who fail to properly
appreciate His might are making a terrible error. Allah reveals the
position of such people in the Qur'an:
They say, "Allah has a son." Glory be to Him! Heis the Rich Beyond
Need. Everything in the heavens and everything on the earth belongs to
Him. Have you authority to say this or are you saying about Allah what
you do not know? (Surah Yunus, 68)
And say: "Praise be to Allah Who has had no son and Who has no partner
in His Kingdom and Who needs no one to protect Him from abasement."
And proclaim His Greatness repeatedly! (Surat Al-Isra', 111)
But those who believe have greater love for Allah. If only you could
see those who do wrongat the time when they see the punishment,
andthat truly all strength belongs to Allah, and that Allah is severe
in punishment. (Surat al-Baqara, 165)
The Oneness of Allah in Judaism:
Devout Jews, sincerely devoted to Allah are, according to the Qur'an,
our brothers entrusted to us by Allah. Muslims have a responsibility
to protect the People of theBook and establish a climate of peace and
security throughout their lives. That is because they have a truefaith
in Allah and believein His Oneness.
Judaism is a divine faith that adheres to Oneness of Allah as
described in the Qur'an. In Islam and Judaism the Oneness of Allah is
expressed by the word "ahad," meaning "singleness." Just like Muslims,
Jews express the "Oneness" of Allah in their prayers. Devout Jews are
our brothers who believe in the Oneness of Allah, scrupulously avoid
ascribing equals to Him, praise Allah with all theirhearts and believe
in theexistence of the Hereafter, the prophets, Paradise and hell with
all their hearts. The powerful bond of love and brotherhood between
the worthy Rabbi Menachem Froman, who has been to Istanbul as Adnan
Oktar's guest, and AdnanOktar himself is one of the finest
manifestationsof this. As Almighty Allah has promised, the stronger
this union grows, the stronger belief in Allah will become and
eventually rule the entire world.
The Oneness of Allah is described as follows in the Torah:
I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from Me there is no God…
so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may
know there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
(Isaiah, 45:5-6)
…I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me.
(Isaiah, 46:9)
So that all the peoples ofthe earth may know thatthe Lord is God and
that there is no other. (1. Kings, 8:60)
"Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and
there is no other. (Isaiah, 45:22)
This is what the Lord says: …'Surely God is with you, and there is
noother; there is no other god.' (Isaiah, 45:14)
The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (Deuteronomy, 6:4)
O Lord; no deeds can compare with Yours. All the nations You have made
will come and worship before You, O Lord; they will bring glory to
Your name. For You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are
God. (Psalms, 86:8-10)
"O Lord Almighty … You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the
earth. You have made heaven and earth. (Isaiah, 37:16)
… so that all kingdoms on earth may know that You alone, O Lord, are
God. (Isaiah, 37:20)
This is what the Lord says your Redeemer, Who formed you in the womb:
I am the Lord, Who has made all things,Who alone stretched outthe
heavens, Who spread out the earth by Myself. (Isaiah, 44:24)
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has
seen any God besides You, Who acts onbehalf of those who wait for Him.
(Isaiah, 64:4)
For this is what the Lord says— He Who created the heavens, He is God;
He Who fashioned and made the earth, He founded it; He did not create
it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— He says: "I am the
Lord, and there isno other." (Isaiah, 45:18)
… Who foretold this longago, Who declared it from the distant past?
Was it not I, the Lord ? And there is no God apart from Me, a
righteous God and a Savior; there is none but Me. (Isaiah, 45:21)
"See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides Me. I put to
death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal…
(Deuteronomy, 32:39)
… so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God. (Exodus, 8:10)
"O Lord... there is no Godlike you in heaven aboveor on earth below.
(1 Kings, 8:23)
Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said,"LORD, there is no one
like you to help the powerless against the mighty..." (2 Chronicles,
14:11)
I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me thereis no savior. (Isaiah, 43:11)
There is no one like you, O LORD, and there is no God but you, as we
have heard with our own ears. (1 Chronicles, 17:20)
There is no one holy [a] like the LORD; there is noone besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel, 2:2)
His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and
come out unscathed? (Job, 9:4)
For you are great and domarvelous deeds; you alone are God. (Psalms, 86:10)
Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing
greatness.(Psalms, 150:2)
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest
heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the
multitudes of heaven worship you. (Nehemiah, 9:6)
They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone are righteousness and
strength.' (Isaiah, 45:24)
You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is
God; besides him there isno other. (Deuteronomy,4:35)
... Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know
not one." (Isaiah, 44:8)
The Alliance among All Believers in Allah Will Prepare a Glorious
Ground for the Time of Hazrat Mahdi (as)
The alliance to be established between all those who truly believe in
the existence and Oneness of Allah, the Hereafter, the Day of
Judgment, the prophets, the angels and Paradise and Hell will
eliminate allthe vile activities of atheism, Darwinism and
materialism, which are all opposed to belief in Allah, and will
further strengthen believers. By Allah's leave, the coming of Hazrat
Mahdi (as) is close at hand. This blessed period will be one in which
Allah's name will be remembered as One and Only in the entire world.
As this holy time approaches, we must prepare the way for the coming
of Hazrat Mahdi (as) as the vanguard of his time and strive to spread
and strengthen belief in Allah across the world. And to that end, we
must all act as one. Certainly, Allah is He whostands in need of
nothing and does what He wants when He wants. The efforts to be made
by all believers to strengthen faith in Allah is an excellent prayer.
There is no doubt that Almighty Allah is He who will keep His promise.
Muslims' call to the People of the Book, they who believe in the one
Allah, is revealed thus in a verse:
Say, "People of the Book! come to a proposition which is the same for
us and you – that we should worship none but Allah and not associate
any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides
Allah."(Surah Al 'Imran, 64)

My daughter and the inaccessible fort
Like a wonderful butterfly and a beautiful flower, she joyously moves
here and there, creating an atmosphere of happiness and pleasure.
Whenever I see her, my heart and eyes fill with great delight. Once,
she had a fever because of a sore throat -- a common childhood disease
-- which made her little body become feverish. Her temperature kept
rising until it reached about 41 degrees. Rushing to the doctor with
five-year-old Suhaylah, her mother did not stop supplicating Allaah
The Almighty for her and reciting Sharee'ah-approved Ruqyah
(supplications for healing) and invocations for her sick child all the
way in the car. Suhaylah was mumbling deliriously because of her high
fever. What did she say during these moments of delirium? She was
saying, "Recite the Quran for me! Recite the Quran for me! Whoever
loves me let him recite the Quran for me!"
Did this young girl realize that the Quran is her resort during such a
hard time and her fort where she seeks protection?
Many of us may have faced a similar situation where the sick or
fevered child in particular recites Quranic verses or urges those
around him to recite for him as Suhaylah did.
What are the implications relatedto a sound upbringing in this situation?
1- Responsibility of engraving on the hearts of children:
One of the strongest indications in this situation is that the
heartsof children are so pure and so quickly affected and ready to
receive what adults inculcate in them. Hence, the responsibility
ofadults before Allaah The Almightyis great. The Prophet said: "Allaah
will ask every caretaker about everything that was entrusted to him,
whether he preserved it or wasted it."
Imaam Al-Ghazaali said,
The child is a trust with his parents and his pure heart is a precious
jewel that is free from any inscription or image. He is ready to learn
anything that he is taught and to incline to what people around him
incline to. If he is accustomed to doing what is good, he will
continue to do what is good and will be happy inthis worldly life and
the Hereafter. Everyone who taught and participated in raising him
will share the reward with him. Ifhe is accustomed to doing what is
evil and is neglected like animals, he will be miserable anddoomed.
The caretaker and guardian will bear the sin. No matter how important
discipline is to preserve the child from the fire of this worldly
life; it is worthier for the caretaker or guardian to preserve the
child from the fire of the Hereafter by refining and disciplining him.
The behavior, interests and appearance of the child are a result of
the upbringing of parents. For scholars of Islamic upbringing and
ethics, it is an unquestionable fact that the child is born with a
sound innate inclination to Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism), the creed of
belief in Allaah The Almighty and the original state of purity. If an
atmosphere of sound upbringing at home, righteousness in societyand a
believing educational environment are provided to him;undoubtedly the
child will grow up holding firm belief and virtuous morals.
2- Importance of the child's early years in upbringing and building
his character:
In his early years, the child learns many more things than expected by
his parents. Customs can be acquired easily at a younger age where 90
percent of the upbringing process takes place inthe first five years.
The importance of early childhood "pre-school or pre-discerning stage"
is highlighted when we know that the human childhood period is longer
than the childhood of any other creature. The childhood of humans is
characterized with purity, flexibility and soundness of disposition.
It lasts for a long time where the parent can instill what he wants in
the child. The child adheres throughout his life to the values that he
was brought up on and accustomed to. What the child receives in his
early childhood delineates the basic features of his future character.
It becomes difficult to change these features even if they are
undesirable. Margaret Mahler said that the first three years of every
person's life are considered a new birth.
As Allaah The Almighty made parents responsible for the creed of their
child, He made the child learn only from his parents during the stage
of his early childhood. The child sees his parents as a high example
in every respect, so that he cannot believe anyone other than them.
Hence, Allaah The Almighty fortifies the child from the
effectsemanating from outside the family in his early childhood.
Sincere parents carry out their duties assigned by Allaah The
Almighty, who also made the child depend upon his parents in every
matter during this period.
Moreover, in this period, the childtends to satisfying and
complyingwith his parents in order to hear words of admiration and
praise. Knowing this fact, it is obvious that parents should utilize
this period in building up the aspect of faith in the child's
personality and disciplining and teaching himin the proper way.
Ibn Al-Jawzi said, "The best discipline is that which takes place at a
young age. If the child is allowed to behave freely; brought up
without discipline, it becomes hard to put him on the right path
later."
So, parents and mentors should forget the sentences, which are usually
stumbling blocks in the way of disciplining many children, such as
"they are still young" or "when they get older, they will know the
right way." - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Stages of the revelation of the Quran
Essential to learning the history of the Quran is the study of the
stages of its revelation, which is usually referred to by the
term"'Tanzeel' of the Quran", literally, the descent or the 'sending
down' of the Quran from the Heavens to the Earth. Some of theaspects
to be discussed in relationship to this would be the meaning of the
'Tanzeel' and whyit happened in stages, what was revealed first and
what was revealed last, and the significanceof understanding the
sequence inrevealing the different parts of the Quran, among others.
Certainly, the study of the 'Tanzeel' of the Quran is one of the most
important aspects of the Sciences of the Quran, because it is related
to the beginning of the last revelation, and to being certain of its
descent from Allaah, which is the foundation of believing in the Quran
as the Word of Allaah that came from Him, as well as in the
truthfulness of the Message of Prophet Muhammad .
The Meaning of 'Tanzeel'
Lexically, the term 'Tanzeel' is derived from the Arabic root
'Nuzool', which means the descent or the movement from a high place
down to a lower one. This is exactly what happened in the process of
revelation where the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) used tocome down from the
Heavens with a varying number of verses of the Quran to deliver to
ProphetMuhammad . The exact nature of this 'Nuzool' and how Jibreel
actually brought the Quranwith him are matters of the unseen, the
details of which Allaah chose not to clarify for us, perhaps because
they involve matters that may be very difficultfor humans to imagine
or grasp. What we should understand is that this 'Nuzool' happened in
a fashion that is befitting to the greatness and sacredness of the
Word of Allaah. Allaah Almighty Says about the Holy Quran (what
means): " (It is) a Quran which Wehave divided (into parts from time
to time), in order that thou (O Muhammad) might recite it to people at
intervals: We have revealed it by stages (in 23 years)." [Quran
17:106]
The Quran was revealed in two stages:
Stage One:
In this stage, the Quran was brought by Jibreel from the Preserved
Tablet (in the Seventh Heaven) down to the First Heaven(sky) and
placed in the 'Place of Power or Honor'. First, the Quran mentions the
Preserved Tablets in the verse (which means):
"Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in a Preserved Tablet"
[Quran 85:21-22]
Then it tells of the fact that it was sent down during a specific
night, in the verse (which means):
"By the Book that makes things clear; - We sent it down during a
Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil). In the
(Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom." [Quran 44:2-4]
And (which means):
"We have indeed sent down this during the Night of Power." [Quran 97:1].
These two verses indicate that the Quran was revealed in a single
blessed night in the monthof Ramadhaan that is called the 'Night of
Power, or Decree'.
Stage Two:
This stage of revelation lasted forabout 23 years in which the Quran
was sent down in response to the development of events and in
accordance with the sequence needed to complete the delivery of the
Message.
The Prophet after receiving revelation, would automatically memorize
the Quranic verses thatwere revealed to him and would recite them to
whomever was in his company, and order them (the Companions ) to write
them down immediately. The Messenger himself used to keep a copy of
the revealed portions in his house. The Quran, the last of Allaah's
Scriptures, is divided into 114 'Surahs' (Chapters) of unequal length.
It isthe first fundamental source of Islamic Sharee'ah (Islamic Law).
Allaah, Most High, Says (what means): "… A Quran which We have given
seriatim (separated out) in order that you may recite it to the people
at intervals and We have caused it to come down successively (by
stages)." [Quran 17:106]
But verse 6:7 observes (what means): "If We had sent unto you(O
Muhammad) a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch
it with their hands, the unbelievers would have been sure to say:
"This is nothing but obvious magic."' [Quran 6:7]
Recording cynical speeches of theunbelievers, Almighty Allaah Says
(what means): " Why has the Quran not been vouchsafed to him
(Muhammad) in one single whole?" [Quran 25:32]
And the answer to that is the verse (which means): "…that yourheart (O
Muhammad) may be strengthened, We have rehearsedit to you in slow,
well-arranged stages, gradually. " [Quran 25:32]
There is no nation that has ever cared about, revered, and preserved
its Divine Scripture as the Muslim nation has cared about, revered and
preserved the Quran. Unlike the other Divine Scriptures, the Quran is
not kept in the hands of a particular groupor elite of the Muslims,
and for this reason, it is not subject to suspicion that it might have
beentampered with or altered. Rather,it has always been within the
reach of all Muslims. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

stages of its revelation, which is usually referred to by the
term"'Tanzeel' of the Quran", literally, the descent or the 'sending
down' of the Quran from the Heavens to the Earth.

Contentment is a Sign of Wealth
If people become content with the little they have, then there will be
no poor or deprived persons among them. If the slaveis content with
what Allaah The Almighty has given him, he will be powerful and in no
need of others, even if he does not possess a lot in this life.
Ash-Shaafi'i said, "I knew that contentment is the core of richness,
and I adhered to it, so I never stood at anybody's door, orbegged
anyone. Consequently, I became rich without a dirham, passing by
people as if I were a king."
The Prophet advised his Ummah (nation) to have contentment when he
said: "Be content with what Allaah has given you, and you will be the
richest person." He would supplicate to Allaah the Almighty, saying:
"Allaahuma qanni'ni bima razaqtani wa baarik li feeh wakhluf 'ala
kulli ghaa'ibatin li bikhayr [O Allaah, make me content with what You
have provided me, bless it for me and grant me good thing in
compensation for whatever I miss]."
A person who is content with what Allaah The Almighty provides him
enjoys tranquility, satisfaction and peace of mind ashe does not long
for what others have or desire what he does not possess. Accordingly,
Allaah The Almighty, as well as people, will love him, and the
following Hadeeth of the Prophet would apply to him: "Do not incline
to the worldly life and Allaah will love you. Have no desire for what
people possess, and people will love you."
Moreover, a slave cannot reach the degree of the thankful unless he
becomes content with the provision that he receives. This meaning is
indicated by the saying of the Prophet to Abu Hurayrah : "O Abu
Hurayrah! Be pious, and you will be the most worshipping person. Be
content, and you will be the mostthankful person. Love for people what
you love for yourself, and you will be a [true] believer." A content
slave, therefore, has a virtuous self as he does not hurt his pride
for the sake of a worldlygain that will soon vanish. Such people are
the ones whom AllaahThe Almighty praised in His Saying (which means):
{[Charity is]for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of
Allaah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would
think them self-sufficient becauseof their restraint, but you will
know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people
persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed,
Allaah is Knowing of it.} [Quran 2:273] Also, the Prophet gave us glad
tidings when he said: "Successful is the person who adopted Islam, has
been provided with what is just sufficient for his needs, and been
made content by Allaah with what He has given him." 'Umar ibn
Al-Khattaab said, "Greed is [in essence] poverty and despair [of what
others have] is richness. Anyone who despairs of[i.e., does not long
for] what is possessed by others, becomes in no need of that."
An amazing story in this regard ismentioned in the book of Al-Ihyaa',
Al-Khaleel ibn Ahmad Al-Faraaheedi refused to be the private tutor of
the son of theruler of Al-Ahwaaz. He brought out dry bread to show the
messenger of the ruler, and said, "As long as I find this, I am in no
need of Sulaymaan [the ruler]. Then, he said some poetic verses which
mean,
"Inform Sulaymaan that I enjoy ease and richness, although I have no wealth.
I keep my pride as I see no one die of hunger, or remain in the same
state all his life.
We realize that poverty lies in souls not in properties, as does richness."
Indeed, the Prophet was truthful when he said: "Richness is not the
abundance of wealth; rather it is self-contentment." O Allaah, make us
content with what You have given us and make us the most contented
people of what You have decreed to us of provisions!

Is it permissible for a husband to give his zakaah to his wife because she has debts?.
Is it permissible for a husband to pay off his wife's debts with
zakaahmoney, knowing that the wife got into debt before marriage?
Praise be to Allah.
Yes, there is nothing wrong with that, because he is not obliged to
pay off her debts. What is not allowed is for a man to give his zakaah
to his wife in order to waive the obligation of spending on her
maintenance.
Ibn al-Mundhir (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The scholars are unanimously agreed that a man should not give his
wife zakaah so that she will not need any maintenance after that,
because spending on her maintenance is obligatory for him, so it is
not permissible to givezakaah to her, as also applies to giving zakaah
to her for her maintenance.
End quote from al-Mughni. 2/270
'Ulaysh (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Minah al-Jaleel Sharh
Mukhtasar Khaleel:
With regard to the husband giving his zakaah to his wife, that is not
allowed accordingto scholarly consensus. That [i.e., either spouse
giving zakaah to the other] is not allowed unless it is given by one
of them to the other in order to pay off debts orspend on someone
else; in that case it is permissible according toconsensus. End quote.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a person
pays off his father's debtfrom his zakaah, and his father was unable
to payit off, then that is permissible. If a husbandgives his zakaah
to pay off his wife's debt, and she is not able to pay it off, then
there is nothing wrong with that, because he is giving charity to them
on the basis that they are in debt.
End quote from Fataawa Noor 'ala ad-Darb.
To sum up: it is permissible for a husband to give his zakaah to his
wife to payoff her debt.

Are emission of madhiyand growth of armpit hair signs of puberty?.
Is the emission of madhiy (prostatic fluid) indicative of puberty? Is
the growth of armpit hair also indicative of puberty or not?
Praise be to Allah.
Reaching the age of accountability (i.e., puberty) is attained when
one of three signs occur in the case of males; in the case of females
there is a fourth sign, which is menstruation.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Puberty is
reached with the occurrence of one of three things in males, namely:
1. Reaching the age of fifteen years
2. Growth of pubic hair
3. Emission of maniy with desire when awakeor asleep.
If one of these three things occurs, then the individual has reached puberty.
In the case of females, a fourth sign is added to this list, namely
menstruation. If a female menstruates, even if she is ten years old,
then she has reached puberty.
End quote from ash-Sharh al-Mumti', 4/224
If a boy or girl emits maniy, accompanied by feelings of pleasure,
whether when awake orasleep, then we rule thathe or she has reached
puberty, because of the evidence that we shall quote below from the
Qur'an and Sunnah, and scholarly consensus.
Al-Maawardi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:With regard to wet
dreams, that is regarded as a sign of reaching puberty or sexual
maturity because Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the
meaning):
"And when the children among you reach sexual maturity, then let them
(also) ask for permission…"
[an-Noor 24:59].
And it was narrated fromthe Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon him) that he said: "The Pen has been lifted from three" among
whom he mentioned "the child, until he reaches sexual maturity."
The definition of sexual maturity (referred to in the Qur'an and
hadeeth) is the emission of maniy that gushes from a man or woman,
when sleeping, when having intercourse or otherwise.
End quote from al-Haawi, 6/343; al-Mughni, 4/297
Thus it is known that emission of madhiy doesnot mean that the
individual has reached puberty, because there is no evidence to that
effect, and the basic principle is that the individual is not
accountable until it is proven that there is evidence of change.
It says in Mataalib Ooli an-Nuha (3/404), after mentioning the signs
of puberty, including the emission of maniy: … Puberty is not reached
by anything other than what has been mentioned. End quote.
Secondly:
The growth of coarse hair around the private part, i.e., the penis in
males and the vagina in females, is one of the signs of puberty,
because of the report narrated by 'Atiyah al-Qurazi (may Allah be
pleased with him) who said: We were presentedto the Prophet
(blessingsand peace of Allah be upon him) on the day of Qurayzah;
those who had developed pubic hair were executed and those who had not
developed pubic hair were released. I was oneof those who had not
developed pubic hair, soI was released. Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 1584;
classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani.
Ibn Qudaamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: With regard tothe
growth of pubic hair, this refers to the growth of coarse hair around
the penis of the male and the vagina of the female, which should be
removed by shaving. As for fine hair, it is of no significance because
it grows in the case of a small child.
End quote from al-Mughni, 9/393.
For more information please see the answer toquestion no. 138738
With regard to hair other than pubic hair, such as the hair of the
beard or moustache or armpit hair, it is of no significance, even if
it is abundant, because Islamonly connected the ruling to the growth
of pubic hair. If hair other than pubic hair was of any significance,
the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would not have
ordered the exposure of the private parts of BanuQurayzah, because the
appearance of hair in places other than the private area would have
been sufficient.
It says in Mataalib Ooli an-Nuha, 3/404: There is no other sign that
could indicate that puberty has been reached, apart from what has been
mentioned (so deepening of the voice, growth of the nose, development
of the breasts, armpit hair, growth of the beard, and so on, are not
signs of reaching puberty). End quote.
And Allah knows best.

Nourishment of the Soul
Allah created the body from the dust of the earth

Aminah Ramlyah
Aminah Ramlyah is regarded a member of the learned elite of the time
and one of great mystics of second and third century Hijrah. She was
born about 163 H in Ramla, a suburb of Baghdad. She was very
intelligent and had longing to attain knowledge since early childhood.
But her parents were very poor so they could not do enough for her
education. Only, which she could have, was, what more or less
available at home. When she grew young, she accompanied her motherto
Hajj. In those days an old man with scholarly figure delivered Dars
(lecture) in Masjid -Al-Haram (Holy mosque in the Ka'bah).
She joined his Dars and learned from him the knowledge of Al-Quran and
Hadith. After his death, she went to Madinah where Imam Malik had laid
his rug for seekers of knowledge. Aminah joined his class and
continued learning the Hadith from him for long. She memorized a
number of Ahadith. Hafiz ibn Abdul Birr held the number of Ahadith,
reported by her around 100.
She, afterwards returned to Makkah and had study of Fiqh from Imam
Shafe'i. She had attained the age of thirty-six when Imam Shafe'i went
to Egypt and she to Kufa.
She took benefit of the presence of many eminent scholars there and
gained knowledge from them with great interest. She got excellence in
all fields of studies. When she returned to her nativity from Kufa,
fame of her erudition already had spread all around. She instituted
delivering the Dars to enlighten the heart and soul of people who
would throng to achieve the knowledge of Hadith. A number of notable
scholars came to listen her Dars on Hadith. She happened to visit
Baghdad in 209H where a dervish, by the benefit of his consideration
caused her life change entirely. She gave away all her belongings as
charity and took the life of a dervish. Her days andnights were
started to bespent in praying and wailing in fear of Allah. During
those years she went on Hajj for seven consecutive years and journeyed
on foot. People called her 'chosenby Allah' for her piety, continence
and mysticality, and extendedgreat respect. Her dignityand grace could
be judged by the fact that an illustrious Wali Allah (friend of Allah
– saint) ofher time Bashar Hafi (RA) (obiit: 227H) would visit her
occasionally. So was the fourth Imam of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah. Imam
Ahmad ibn Hanbal (RA) (obiit: 241H), appreciative of her glory and
grace.
Once Bashar hafi fell ill and Aminah went to see him. Imam Ahmad ibn
Hanbal, too, incidentally came to inquire after his health. He asked
Bashar Hafi who was that lady. He told that she was Aminah Ramalyah,
came to hear of his illness. Imam ibn Hanbal expressed great pleasure
on her presence and said,it was his longstanding desire to visit her.
He begged Bashar Hafi to ask her to pray for him. Bashar hafi conveyed
his will to Aminah. Aminah raised her hands and prayed with immense
humility, "O, Allah! Ahmadibn Hanbal and Bashar, both seek Thy
protection from Fire. Thou are the Most Merciful, save them from it."
(Some biographers narrated an occurence and held it in terms of
Aminah's miracle. They attributed to Imam ibn Hanbal the anecdote,
that he reportedly said, "the same night a piece of paper dropped unto
me from heaven. Written on the paper was: In the name of Allah, the
Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We did it and we could do even more
(or we have even more of the bounties)."
Once a very rich person offered her ten thousandgold coins but she
refused to accept, thoughshe agreed to keep later on his insistence
but did not even touch them. Shemade announcement to the beat of drum
in the town that whosoever was needy, might come and take money. So
the indigents thronged therein and she gave them enough to their need.
All the money was disbursed till the eveningwhile she had nothing to
eat that very day.
Bashar Hafi narrates that Aminah woke up by midnight and prayed
prayers with great concentration and humility till dawn. Once I heard
her praying, "… O, Creator of the earth and the heavens, Thou hath
stock of bounties, beyond limits but the wrong doers are unmindful.
Thou art the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, but the people
have forrgotten Thee.
… O, My Lord, my welfare is in Thy hand. Abase me not on the Day of
Judgement before all, otherwise people would say. Allah abaseth His
obedient slave who lovedHim greatly."
She had made a principlenot to accept food from any one saved it was
surethe host was pious and his sources of income were pure. The
historiansare silent about her matrimonial life, and neither has been
detailedhow she managed years long stay at distant townsto attain
knowledge and who was her patron therein. Year of her death is not
known to any one. It is presumed that she died sometime in third
century Hijrah.

and one of great mystics of second and third century Hijrah. She was
born about 163 H in Ramla, a suburb of Baghdad.
