*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

family Articles, - Shy and Afraid

Assalam Aleikkum,
I apologize in advance for the length of this question, and thank you for reading it through. Advice is sought because those who seek advice among believers will be confident (paraphrasing).
I am 24 years old and just about to graduate. And I would like to get married soon after because it is Sunnah to get married young and it completes half your Deen. However, what’s missing from this equation is the right candidate. There have been a few guys who have wanted to go out with me and I even tried it once, but it ended fast because it didn’t feel right. I was guilty the whole time and felt that it was just doomed because it was a Haram relationship.
Last year, at school, I met a decent, pious Muslim brother who turned out to be my cousin. He is very smart, kind, generous and humble. I got to know him passively because he used to visit my parents and talk to them. Then he graduated and moved away so he no longer comes to visit, and I find myself missing him (Is that wrong?) and wishing that he would come sometimes.
Lately, I have been considering telling my mother about this because I think he would make a good husband. But I am afraid. This is because of a number of reasons:
1) There is a family rumor that he may like another of our cousins and wants to marry her when she graduates. This is what the girl says (we are kind of close) and she is generally a truthful person, but he has given no indication other than the usual kind concern for everyone. And she doesn’t really like him, it’s more of her mother- her mother even refused a marriage proposal from someone the girl wanted because of this nice guy.
2) That he may refuse and it will be very embarrassing for me. This is because I don’t think he noticed me in that way or maybe he does not think I am right for him.
3) That my mother will think it’s not a good idea and that will embarrass me, too.
Hence, I have no idea what to do. On one hand, I feel as though I should just leave it alone because what is written for you will never miss you. On the other hand, I feel like if I don’t do something, I will not get what I want because one has to pray as well as act.
What should I do?

family Articles, - Secret nikkah between sunni/shia

I am ashia, syed muslim girl. When I was doing my bachelors, a guy who is sunni muslim fell in love with me. He followed me for 3 years, then I also felt that he was the man who loves me the most and he is committed. One day, his friend came and told me that he is very much interested in me, so why don’t I say yes to him? so I thought a lot about it, and I allowed him to call me he called me one evening. When I picked up the phone he was crying and begging me not to reject his love. So after a week or so, I also had a feeling of love for him. The only reason behind my falling in love with him was that he was extremely in love with me, and he was not able to forget me or leave me like this.
So we started talking to each other on mobile, but I told him on the very first day that I am shia and I am not a girl of friendship or dating etc; and if he is interested in me then propose me straight away but my parents will never accept him. So he was serious about marrying me and committed, and so was I. He sent a proposal ten times, but my father rejected him just because he is sunni. When I knew that my father would never accept him, we both did nikah secretly.
Then time was passing, and after my bachelors I did an MBA and also worked for 3 years. I was living with my father, and he was abroad. I think 7 or 8 years passed away. I met my husband may be 10-12 times in those 8 years. Now I am fed up living away from him, and he is also very disturbed.
Last week I again told my father to kindly accept his proposal, that I like him, I love him, and I can’t marry anyone else. But he again said that it’s a sin to marry a sunni man, and I am syed so prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) will not forgive me if I marry him.
Now I don’t know what to do. I am tired of praying. I prayed so much, I recited so many duas, I fasted so much…but Allah is not listening to me. He is not fulfilling my wish, so what can I do? Please suggest something to me; I can’t leave him because he loves me more than anything in this world and he is my husband now, so I can’t leave him. I didn’t tell my father that I did nikah with him. My father himself is not a very good man, and he has done so many muttas with prostitutes, so I don’t know why is he stopping me. Then he says muttah is halal in islam, but whatever I am doing is haram- marrying a sunni man he will never support me.
Help me! Please, what should I do now????????

family Articles, - 50 Romantic Things to Do for Your Wife

These ideas for romantic things to do for your wife were all suggested by real wives. Some are expensive, while others cost nothing at all.
No matter your budget, there’s always something you can do to make your wife feel special!
In no particular order:
1.Take your wife on a drive to a place where the two of you can watch the sunset together. Make sure you hold her hand or put your arm around her.
2.Give her a back rub or massage.
3.Make her a handmade bookshelf (or buy it if you prefer, but making things by hand is always romantic). Fill it with books you know she will love – either books she already owns, or new books that you buy for her – and set it next to a snug loveseat sofa just for her. On the other side of the sofa put a small tea table. It will be her special place to relax when you’re not home (or when you’re watching the football game).
4.Give your wife a gift when she least expects it, even if it’s something small.
5.Surprise her with a dream vacation. Make all the arrangements (babysitters for the children, plane tickets, hotel reservations), so that all she has to do is pack a bag. Imagine how thrilling it would be to say to her, “Honey, pack your bag, we’re going to Paris tomorrow)… However I must add two caveats about this one: First, if she works, let her know about the trip well in advance so she can arrange time off from work. Secondly, know your wife’s personality. If she needs time to mentally prepare for new things, then plan the trip accordingly.
6.Make her dinner and have it cooking in the oven when she gets home from work. If you don’t know how to cook, take a cooking class and learn!
7.Bake her a favorite pie, or make her a cake and decorate with a message of love.
8.Write her a poem.
9.If you’re hopeless when it comes to writing poetry, hand-copy a famous love poem onto a card, and write, “This is what I would write for you if I had the words.”
10.You can never go wrong with a hug.
11.Have a bouquet of flowers delivered to her at an unexpected time, along with a love note.
12.Write your wife a letter listing the things for which you feel grateful to her.
13.Write a book and dedicated it to her.
14.Write “I love you” on the bed in flower petals.
15.Leave a small wrapped gift under her pillow – for example a piece of jewelry.
16.Buy her a day at a spa where she can be pampered with a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure, etc.
17.Dress her.
18.Undress her.
19.Brush her hair.
20.Take her bungee-jumping or skydiving.
21.Whisper something loving in her ear when you’re in public.
22.Blindfold her and kiss her all over her body.
23.Look deeply into your wife’s eyes and tell her how beautiful she is to you.
24.Put a love note in her pocket for her to find.
25.Read to your wife.
26.Pray with her.
27.Sing to her.
28.Dance with her.
29.Write her a love letter and draw a flower on the envelope. Take your time and draw something really nice. If you can’t draw, trace it from a magazine photo.
30.Let your wife sit on your lap.
31.In winter, make love in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace.
32.Carry your wife to bed.
33.Call her from work during the day to tell her you love her (just be careful – if you’re calling her at her workplace, make sure that it’s not going to get her in trouble with her boss).
34.Lie together in the backyard (or any secluded, peaceful place) and watch the stars.
35.Take a bubble bath together.
36.Kiss your wife lightly just below the ear, and then whisper, “I love you.”
37.Buy her a ring. It doesn’t have to be an expensive ring, just something pretty in a style she would like.
38.Speaking of buying gifts, pay attention to what she likes. When you’re out together and she sees something in a window and says, “Oh, that’s lovely,” make a mental note, and when you get home, write an actual note in a notebook do you don’t forget. On a special occasion, buy it for her.
39.Go camping together in the woods or the mountains, just the two of you.
40.If you’re on a business trip, call her often to chat (even if only for a few minutes) and tell her you miss her.
41.Know that she needs time with her friends just like you do, and be nice to her friends (without being flirty of course).
42.Learn from her, and let her know that you do.
43.Make sacrifices for her.
44.Learn to say sweet things in foreign languages, including sign language.
45.Defend her when someone says something unkind about her, no matter who it is.
46.Go go the playground and swing on the swings as if you were still teenagers. Just remember to get up if a real kid wants the swing, ha ha.
47.Exercise together. This can be great fun and is a good bonding experience.
48.Go shopping for her, wash the dishes, clean the house (including the bathroom). Share the chores, and some days just do them all.
49.Draw a picture for her of some pretty nature scene (it’s okay if you’re not artistically talented, just do your best) and write some sweet caption beneath, like, “You are as beautiful as a sunset. I love you.”
50.Tell her every day what you love about her. Be specific and mention actual things that you appreciate about her.

Welcome to Islam, - Islam is not a new message

Since the creation of man, there have been many Divine messages and Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, sent by God to humankind. Numerous messages were revealed to many Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, who were sent to different nations at different times. However, all these messages, from the first to the last, contained the same in essence. They all called people to worship only The One True God and to do righteous deeds. Allaah, Most Exalted, Says )what means(:"Truly, the religion in the sight of Allaah is Islam…"]Quran 3:19[
According to the verse above and other verses in the Quran, the message that all Prophets called people to was Islam. Since there is only One True God, the message of God must also be One.
However, this message varies in general laws, codes of life and worship )but not in the essential beliefs( according to the diversity of nations, times, conditions, customs and cultures. Every form of this message was sent to a particular nation for a particular time, except the last message revealed to Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, )may Allaah exalt his mention( which was sent to all people and all nations till the Day of Judgment.
Allaah Almighty, informs us in the Holy Quran that many Prophets uttered the word 'Islam' or 'Muslim' such as Nooh )Noah(, Ibraaheem )Abraham(, Ismaa’eel )Ishmael(, Yoosuf )Joseph(, Moosaa )Moses(, may Allaah exalt their mention.
Allaah, The Most High, tells us about Nooh, may Allaah exalt his mention, when he warned his people of disbelief saying )what means(:"But if you turn away )from accepting my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allaah(, then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allaah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims."]Quran 10:72[
Ibraaheem and Yaaqoob )Jacob(, may Allaah exalt their mention, enjoined Islam upon their sons. Allaah Almighty Says )what means(:"And this )submission to Allaah, Islam( was enjoined by Abraham upon his sons and by Jacob )saying( 'O my sons! Allaah has chosen for you the )true( religion, then die not except while you are Muslims."]Quran 2:132[
Ibraaheem and Ismaa’eel, may Allaah exalt their mention, invoked their Lord when they were raising the foundations of the house, the Ka'bah at Makkah, )what means( :"Our Lord! And make us Muslims )in submission( to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation )in submission( to You…" ]Quran 2:128[. Allaah Says in the Quran )what means(:")Solomon said(: 'Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission )as Muslims(.'"]Quran 27:31[
When ‘Eesaa )Jesus(, may Allaah exalt his mention, came to know of his people's disbelief, he said to them )what means(:"…Who will be my helpers in Allaah's Cause?' The disciples said: 'We are the helpers of Allaah; we believe in Allaah, and bear witness that we are Muslims )i.e. we submit to Allaah(.'"]Quran 3:52[
The last of Allaah's prophets, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was sent to present Allaah's revelation in its final form and for the last time. This was necessary because the message delivered by the previous Prophets and Messengers, may Allaah exalt their mention, had been corrupted or distorted by their followers.
Allaah took it upon Himself to guard the last message )i.e. the Quran and hence Islam( from corruption. He says in the Quran )what means(:"Verily, it is We Who have sent down the message )i. e., the Quran( and surely, We will be its guardian.”]Quran 15:9[
This message is called Islam, which means submission to the will of the only True God, Allaah. In this way, all nations are invited to Islam and Allaah will not accept any religion from them except Islam.
Allaah Says )what means(:"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers."]Quran 3:85[
The verse mentioned above makes it clear that when we say there is only one religion, it is meant that there is only one true religion. Allaah Almighty, mentions the belief and religions of the polytheists in the Holy Quran )which means(:"Say: ‘O disbelievers, I worship not that which you worship. Nor will you worship that which I worship. And I shall not worship that you which are worshipping. Nor will you worship that which I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion )Islamic Monotheism(.'"]Quran 109:1-4[
To conclude, Islam is the religion, which was given to Aadam, may Allaah exalt his mention, the first man and the first prophet of Allaah, and it was the religion of all the prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, sent by Allaah to humankind. The name of God's religion -- Islam -- was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allaah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In Islam it is obligatory to have belief in all Messengers, may Allaah exalt their mention and their messages in the original forms revealed by Allaah. Surely, it is the only way, which can lead people to success in this life and toParadisein the Hereafter.
Allaah's Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:"By Him )Allaah( in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, there is none from among the Jews and Christians who hears about me and then dies without believing in the Message )i.e. Islam( with which I have been sent, but he will be from the dwellers of the )Hell( fire."]Muslim[

Welcome to Islam, - The true religion

The religion of Islam
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word ‘Islam’ itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity, which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of ‘Allaah’ and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allaah's )God's( religion -- the total submission to the will of Allaah )God(.
The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true God worthy of worship Allaah; and anyone who does so is termed a ‘Muslim’. The word also implies ‘peace’ which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allaah. Hence, it was not a new religion brought by Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, )may Allaah exalt his mention( in Arabia in the 7thcentury CE, but it is the true religion of Allaah re-expressed in its final form.
Islam is the religion which was given to Aadam )Adam(, may Allaah exalt his mention, the first man and the first Prophet of Allaah, and it was the religion of all the Prophets sent by Allaah to mankind. The name of God's religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allaah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of Divine Revelation, the Quran, Allaah states the following )which means(:
“This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”]Quran 5:3[
And )what means(:
“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam )submission to Allaah )God( never will It be accepted of Him.”]Quran 3:85[
And )what means(:“Ibraaheem )Abraham( was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim.”]Quran 3:67[
Nowhere in the Bible will you find Allaah saying to the people of Prophet Moosaa )Moses(, may Allaah exalt his mention, or their descendants that their religion is ‘Judaism’, nor to the followers of Christ that their religion is ‘Christianity’. In fact, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name ‘Christ’ comes from the Greek word Christos, which means ‘the anointed’. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title ‘Messiah’. The name ‘Jesus’ on the other hand, is a Latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.
For simplicity's sake, I will however continue to refer to Prophet ‘Eesaa, may Allaah exalt his mention, as Jesus. As for his religion, it was what he called his followers to. Like the Prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allaah; )which is Islam( and he instructed them to stay away from the false gods of human imagination. According to the New Testament, he taught his followers to pray as follows: "Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".
The message of Islam
Since the complete submission of one's will to Allaah represents the essence of worship, the basic message of Islam -- Allaah's divine religion -- is the worship of Allaah Alone and the avoidance of worship directed to any person, place or thing other than Allaah. Since everything other than Allaah, the Creator of all things, is Allaah's creation; it may be said that Islam, in essence calls man away from the worship of creation and invites him to worship only its Creator. He is the only One deserving man's worship as it is only by His Will that prayers are answered. If man prays to a tree and his prayers are answered, it was not the tree, which answered his prayers, but Allaah who allowed the circumstances prayed for to take place.
One might say: "That is obvious," however, to tree-worshippers it might not be. Similarly, prayers to Jesus, may Allaah exalt his mention, Buddha, or Krishna, to Saint Christopher, or Saint Jude or even to Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, are not answered by them but are answered by Allaah. Jesus, may Allaah exalt his mention, did not tell his followers to worship him but to worship Allaah. As the Quran states )what means(:
“And behold Allaah will say: ‘O Jesus the son of Mary, did you say to men, worship me and my mother as gods besides Allaah?’ He will say: ‘Glory to You I could never say what I had no right )to say(’ ”]Quran 5:116[
Nor did Jesus, may Allaah exalt his mention, worship himself when he worshipped, rather he worshipped Allaah. This basic principle is enshrined in the opening chapter of the Quran, known as Chapter Al-Faatihah, verse 4 )which means(:
“You Alone do we worship and from You alone do we seek help".]Quran 1: 4[
Elsewhere, in the final book of revelation, the Quran, Allaah also said )what means(:
“And your Lord says: “Call on Me and I will answer your )prayer(.”]Quran 40:60[
It is worth noting that the basic message of Islam is that Allaah and His creation are distinctly different entities. Neither is Allaah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him.
This might seem obvious, but man's worship of creation instead of the Creator is to a large degree based on ignorance of this concept. It is the belief that the essence of Allaah is everywhere in His creation or that His Divine Being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation, although such worship may be called the worship of Allaah through his creation. However, the message of Islam as brought by the Prophets of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention, is to worship only Allaah and to avoid the worship of his creation either directly or indirectly. In the Quran, Allaah clearly states )what means(:
“For We assuredly sent amongst every people a Prophet, )with the command( worship Me and avoid false gods.”]Quran 16:36[
When the idol worshipper is questioned as to why he or she bows down to idols created by men, the invariable reply is that they are not actually worshipping the stone image, but Allaah who is present within it. They claim that the stone idol is only a focal point for Allaah's essence and is not in itself Allaah! A person who has accepted the concept of the presence of God's being within His creation in any way will be obliged to accept this argument of idolatry. Whereas, one who understands the basic message of Islam and its implications, would never concede to idolatry no matter how it is rationalized.
Those who have claimed divinity for themselves down through the ages have often based their claims on the mistaken belief that Allaah is present in man. They merely had to assert that although Allaah, according to their false beliefs, is within all of us, He is ‘more present’ in them than in the rest of us. Hence, they claim, we should submit our will to them and worship them, as they are either God in person or God concentrated within the person.
Similarly, those who have asserted the godhood of others after their passing, have found fertile ground among those who accept the false belief of God's presence in man. One who has grasped the basic message of Islam and its implications could never agree to worship another human being under any circumstances. God's religion in essence is a clear call to the worship of the Creator and the rejection of creation-worship in any form.
This is the meaning of the motto of Islam: "Laa Ilaaha Illallaah" )There is none worthy of worship but Allaah(. Its repetition automatically brings one within the fold of Islam and sincere belief in it guarantees one Paradise.
Thus, the final Prophet of Islam, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is reported to have said: "Any one who says: There is no god but Allaah and dies holding that )belief( will enter Paradise". ]Al-Bukhaari and Muslim.
It consists in the submission to Allaah as one God, yielding to Him by obeying His commandments, and the denial of polytheism and polytheists.
The message of false religion
There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to Allaah. How can one determine which one is correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The method by which the answer can be found is to clear away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various claimants to the ultimate truth, and identify the central object of worship to which they call, directly or indirectly. False religions all have one basic concept about Allaah in common. They either claim that all men are gods or that specific men were Allaah, or that Nature is Allaah, or that Allaah is a figment of man's imagination.
Thus, it may be stated that the basic message of false religion is that Allaah may be worshipped in the form of His creation. False religion invites man to the worship of creation by calling the creation or some aspect of it God. For example, Prophet Jesus, may Allaah exalt his mention, invited his followers to worship Allaah but those who claim to be his followers today call people to worship Jesus, may Allaah exalt his mention, claiming that he was Allaah!
Buddha was a reformer who introduced a number of humanistic principles to the religion of India. He did not claim to be God nor did he suggest to his followers that he was an object of worship. Yet, today most Buddhists who are to be found outside of India have taken him to be God and prostrate to idols made in their perception of his likeness.
By using the principle of identifying the object of worship, false religions become obvious and the contrived nature of their origin clear. As Allaah said in the Quran )what means(:
“That which you worship besides Him are only names you and your forefathers have invented for which Allaah has sent down no authority. The command belongs only to Allaah. He has commanded that you only worship Him; that is the right religion, but most men do not understand."]Quran 12:40[
It may be argued that all religions teach good things, so why should it matter which one we follow. The reply is that all false religions teach the greatest evil, the worship of creation. Creation-worship is the greatest sin that man can commit because it contradicts the very purpose of his creation. Man was created to worship Allaah alone as Allaah has explicitly stated in the Quran )what means(:
“I have only created Jinns and men, that they may worship me."]Quran 51:56[
Consequently, the worship of creation, which is the essence of idolatry, is the only unforgivable sin. One who dies in this state of idolatry has sealed his fate in the next life. This is not an opinion, but a revealed fact stated by Allaah in his final revelation to man )which means(:
“Verily Allaah will not forgive the joining of partners with Him, but He may forgive )sins( less than that for whom so ever He wishes.”]Quran 4:48, 116[
THE UNIVERSALITY OF ISLAM
Since the consequences of false religion are so grave, the true religion of Allaah must be universally understandable and attainable, not confined to any people, place or time. There cannot be conditions like baptism, belief in a man as a Savior etc., for a believer to enter Paradise. Within the central principle of Islam and in its definition, )the surrender of one's will to God( lay the roots of lslam's universality. Whenever man comes to the realization that Allaah is One and distinct from His creation, and submits himself to Allaah, he becomes a Muslim in body and spirit and is eligible for Paradise.
Thus, anyone at anytime in the most remote region of the world can become a Muslim, a follower of God's religion, Islam, by merely rejecting the worship of creation and by turning to Allaah )God( alone. It should be noted however, that the recognition of and submission to Allaah requires that one chooses between right and wrong and such a choice implies accountability. Man will be held responsible for his choices, and as such, he should try his utmost to do good and avoid evil. The ultimate good being the worship of Allaah alone, and the ultimate evil being the worship of His creation along with or instead of Allaah. This fact is expressed in the final revelation as follows )which means(:
“Verily those who believe, those who follow the Jewish )Scriptures(, the Christians and the Sabians any who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, and work righteousness all have their reward with their Lord; they will not be overcome by fear nor grief.”]Quran 2:62[
And )what means(:
“If only they had stood by the Law, the Injeel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course; but many of them follow a course that is evil.”]Quran 5:66[
Recognition of Allaah
The question, which arises here is: How can all people be expected to believe in Allaah given their varying backgrounds, societies and cultures? For people to be responsible for worshipping Allaah they all must have access to knowledge of Allaah. The final revelation teaches that all humankind has the recognition of Allaah imprinted on their souls, a part of their very nature with which they are created. In Chapter Al-A'raaf, verses 172-173, Allaah explained that when He created Aadam, may Allaah exalt his mention, He caused all of Aadam's descendants to come into existence and took a pledge from them saying )what means(:“Am I not your Lord?”To which they all replied:“Yes, we testify to it.”Allaah then explained why He made humankind bear witness that He is their creator and the only true God worthy of worship. He Said )what means(:"That was in case you )mankind( should say on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Verily we were unaware of all this.’ That is to say, we had no idea that You, Allaah, were our God. No one told us that we were only supposed to worship You alone.”Allaah explains that it was also in case you should say: ‘Certainly it was our ancestors who made partners )with Allaah( and we are only their descendants; will You then destroy us for what those liars did?’"Thus, every child is born with a natural belief in Allaah and an inborn inclination to worship Him alone that is called ‘Fitrah’ in Arabic.
If the child were left alone, he would worship Allaah in his own way, but all children are affected by those things around them, seen or unseen.
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, reported that Allaah Said )what means:("I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray".The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also said:"Each child is born in a state of Fitrah, then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?"]Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
So, just as the child submits to the physical laws which Allaah has put in nature, his soul also submits naturally to the fact that Allaah is his Lord and Creator. However, his parents try to make him follow their own way and the child is not strong enough in the early stages of his life to resist or oppose the will of his parents. The religion which the child follows at this stage is one of custom and upbringing and Allaah does not hold him to account or punish him for this religion.
Throughout people's lives -- from childhood until the time they die -- signs are shown to them in all regions of the earth and in their own souls, until it becomes clear that there is only one true God )Allaah(. If the people are honest with themselves, reject their false gods and seek Allaah, the way will be made easy for them but if they continually reject Allaah's signs and continue to worship creation, the more difficult it will be for them to escape. For example, in the South Eastern region of the Amazon jungle in Brazil, South America, a primitive tribe erected a new hut to house their main idol Skwatch, representing the supreme god of all creation.
A young man prostrated himself to pay homage to their god, and while he was in prostration to what he had been taught was his Creator and Sustainer, a mangy old flea-ridden dog walked into the hut. The young man looked up in time to see the dog lift its hind leg and pass urine on the idol. Outraged, the youth chased the dog out of the temple, but when his rage died down, he realized that the idol could not be the Lord of the Universe. Allaah must be elsewhere. He now had a choice to act on his knowledge and seek Allaah, or to dishonestly go along with the false beliefs of his tribe. As strange as it may seem, that was a sign from Allaah for that young man. It contained within it divine guidance that what he was worshipping was false.
As mentioned earlier, Prophets were sent to every nation and tribe to support man's natural belief in Allaah and the inborn inclination to worship Him; as well as to reinforce the divine truth in the daily signs revealed by Allaah. Although, in most cases, most of the teachings of the Prophets became distorted, portions remained which point out right and wrong. For example, the ten commandments of the Torah, their confirmation in the Injeel and the existence of laws against murder, stealing and adultery in most societies point to this. Consequently, every soul will be held to account for its belief in Allaah and its acceptance of the religion of Islam; the total submission to the will of Allaah.
We pray to Allaah, The Exalted, to keep us on the right path to which He has guided us, and to bestow on us a blessing from Him, He is indeed The Most Merciful. All praise and gratitude is due to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be on Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, his family, his companions, and those who rightly follow them.

Welcome to Islam, - Islam: the perfect religionand way of life for all

It is imperative that we strive to know Islam. Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, )may Allaah exalt his mention( who was sent to the whole mankind, encouraged us to acquire knowledge of Islam in order to comprehend it. Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“Those who were the best in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance will be the best in Islam provided they comprehend the religious knowledge.”]Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
‘Abdur Rahmaan bin Abi Bakrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated on the authority of his father that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“If Allaah wants to do good to a person, he makes him comprehend the religion; and of course knowledge is attained by learning.”]Al-Bukhaari[ Mu‘aawiyah bin Abi Sufyaan, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Goodness is a )natural( habit while the evil is a stubbornness. To whomsoever Allaah wills to show goodness, He favors him with the understanding in the Religion.”]Ibn Maajah[
When we study Islam or read the Quran and the authentic Ahadeeth )narrations of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam( we learn that Islam is easy to follow and the perfect religion and complete way of life for the entire humankind. We read in the Quran and the Ahadeeth the following unique features of Islam:
Islam is easy
The Quran says )what means(:“But whoever believes and works righteousness he shall have a goodly reward and easy will be his task as We order it by Our command.”]Quran 18:88[
Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:“Religion )Islam( is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the prayers in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights.”]Al-Bukhaari[
Anas bin Maalik, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:"Make things easy for the people, and do not make it difficult for them, and make them calm )with glad tidings( and do not repulse )them(.”]Al-Bukhaari[
Islam is complete
The Quran says )what means(:
“…He it is Who has sent unto you the Book, explained in detail. They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it has been sent down from your Rabb in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.” ]Quran 6: 114[
And )what means(:
For We had certainly sent unto them a Book based on knowledge, which We explained in detail -- a guide and a mercy to all who believe.”]Quran 7: 52[
And )what means(:
“…)This is ( a Book with verses basic or fundamental )of established meaning( -- further explained in detail -- from One Who is Wise and Well-Acquainted )with all things(.”]Quran 11: 1[
Islam is perfect
The Quran says )what means(:
“...This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”]Quran 5: 3[
As the perfect religion, Islam teaches humankind how to attain success in the most perfect way. The following are some of the Ahadeeth that serve as a source of enlightenment and guidance to those who desire perfection.
Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Goodness and comfort are for him who worships his Rabb in a perfect manner and serves his master sincerely.”]Al-Bukhaari[
Ibn ‘Umar, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:"If a slave is honest and faithful to his master and worships his Lord in a perfect manner, he will get a double reward.”]Al-Bukhaari[
Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:"Whoever believes in Allaah and His Messenger, offers prayers perfectly and fasts )the month of( Ramadan then it is incumbent upon Allaah to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allaah’s cause or stays in the land where he was born.” They )the companions of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam( said: "O Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam! Should we not inform the people of that?" He said: "There are one-hundred degrees inParadisewhich Allaah has prepared for those who carry on Jihaad in His Cause. The distance between every two degrees is like the distance between the sky and the Earth. So if you ask Allaah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaws, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of The Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise.”]Al-Bukhaari[
‘Abdullaah bin Hishaam, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated:“We were with the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and he was holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattaab, may Allaah be pleased with him. 'Umar said to him: "O Allaah’s Messenger! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self.” The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, )you will not have complete or perfect faith( till I am dearer to you than your own self.” Then 'Umar said to him: "However, now, by Allaah, you are dearer to me than my own self.” The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Now, O 'Umar, you are a believer.”]Al-Bukhaari[
Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“The most perfect believer in respect of faith is he who is best of them in manners.”]Abu Daawood[
Abu Humamah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“If anyone loves for Allaah’s sake, hates for Allaah’s sake, gives for Allaah’s sake and withholds for Allaah’s sake, he will have perfect faith.”]Abu Daawood[
Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“Among the Muslims the most perfect, as regards his faith, is the one whose character is excellent, and the best among you are those who treat their wives well.”]At-Tirmithi and Abu Daawood[
‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:"Among the believers who show most perfect faith are those who have the best disposition, and are kindest to their families.”]At-Tirmithi[
All the above Prophetic teachings in addition to the Quranic Ayaat )verses( quoted earlier, clearly tell us that indeed, Islam is the perfect religion and hence the best way of life for all. Islam as a universal religion is Allaah’s Blessing and Mercy for all of us. It is for us to obey it and be successful in the eternal world to come. The best way to attain success through Islam is to learn about the religion according to its authentic sources. That is, to acquire knowledge of Islam through the Quran and the Sunnah and the right deductions from these revealed sources of knowledge and guidance.
Since Allaah Almighty is the One Who gives guidance, earnestly ask Him for authentic Islamic knowledge. We must seek His help and guidance to be able to apply such knowledge and share them with others – all for His Pleasure.
May our Cherisher and Sustainer increase our knowledge of Islam and grant us the best life -- of being true Muslims forever. Aameen.

Qur'an Related, - Signs of the End Times

The world will experience the End Times before the Day of Judgment. Our Prophet (saas) told us many things about this time, and the fact that many of them are happening now is a miracle. Muhammad (saas) detailed events that would happen 1,400 years after his death as if he had actually seen them. We present a partial list below:
The Iran-Iraq War
The hadiths tell of a major war that will happen in the End Times:
There will be tumult in Shawwal (the tenth Islamic month), talk of war in Dhu al-Qa`dah (the eleventh Islamic month), and the outbreak of war in Dhu al-Hijjah (the twelfth month). 101
These months coincide with the dates of the developing stages of the Iran-Iraq War.
There will be tumult in Shawwal…
The first uprising against the Shah happened on 5 Shawwal 1398 (September 8, 1976).
Talks of war in Dhu al-Qa`dah (the eleventh Islamic month), and the outbreak of war in Dhu al-Hijjah (the twelfth month)...
The Iran-Iraq War broke out in Dhu al-Hijjah 1400 (October 1980).
In another hadith, the details of this war are given:
A nation/tribe will come from the Farsi direction, saying: "O You Arabs, you have been too zealous. If you don't give them their due rights, nobody will have an alliance with you ... It must be given to them one day and to you the following day, and mutual promises must be kept ..." They will be going up to Mutekh; Muslims will be coming down to the plain ... Polytheists will be standing over there on the bank of a black river [Rakabeh] on the other side. There will be a war between them. Allah will deprive both armies of a victory ... 102

3. Turkiye Daily, 03. 08. 1988, Back-and-Forth: Here is the Iran-Iraq War
On the right you see some of the news about Iran-Iraq war.
- Those coming from the Farsi direction: Those coming from the Iranian side:
- Farsi: Iran, Iranian
- Coming down to the plain: Coming down to the Iranian plain
- Mutekh: Name of a mountain in the region
- Rakabeh: A region where the oil wells are concentrated
"O you Arabs, you have indulged yourselves in bigotry! Unless you grant due rights to them, no one will agree with you on a plan of action…"
This hadith may draw attention to the outbreak of a racial dispute that will cause both sides to come down to the (Iranian) plain and wage war.
Allah will not give victory to any one of the armies...
The Iran-Iraq war lasted for eight years and, despite many thousands of casualties, neither side could claim a decisive victory.
The Occupation of Afghanistan
Pity poor Taliqan [a region in Afghanistan]. At that place are treasures of Allah, but these are not of gold and silver. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi `Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-Zaman, 59.)
This hadith may be an indication of Afghanistan's occupation during the Last Days. The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan took place in 1979 (1400, according to the Islamic calendar).
… at that place are treasures of Allah, but these are not of gold and silver …
In addition, this hadith draws attention to Afghanistan's material riches. Today, large oil deposits, iron basins, and coal mines have been detected there and await commercial exploitation.

Qur'an Related, - Hussain's (ra) martyrdom

Ibn Rahwayh, al-Bayhaqi, and Abu Nu`aym narrated from Umm Salamah: The Messenger of Allah (saas) lay down one day and woke up, holding a handful of red dirt in his hand and turning it this way and that. I asked: "What is this dirt, Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Jibril informed me that this one [meaning Hussain] would be killed in Iraq, and this is his resting-ground." 99
Ibn al-Sakan, al-Baghawi, and Abu Nu`aym narrated from Anas ibn al-Harith, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "Truly this son of mine [meaning Husayn] will be killed in a land called Karbala'. Whoever among you is present then, help him." Thus, Anas ibn al-Harith went to Karbala' and was killed there with Husayn. 100
All of these predictions came true, and many sincere Muslims who shouldered the great responsibility of spreading Islam also died as martyrs. As a result, more of his predictions came true. Every one of these is a miracle that Allah bestowed upon his blessed messenger, Muhammad (saas), from the Unseen.

Qur'an Related, - Ali's (ra) martyrdom

Al-Hakim (who declared it sound) and Abu Nu`aym narrated from 'Ammar ibn Yasir that the Prophet said to 'Ali: "The most grievous of all people is he that shall strike you here," indicating his temple, "until blood soaks this," indicating his beard. 96
Al-Tabarani and Abu Nu`aym narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah said to 'Ali: "You will be given leadership and the caliphate; and truly, this will be dyed red with this," meaning his beard with [the blood from] his head. 97
Al-Hakim narrated from Anas, who said: I went in with the Prophet (saas) to see `Ali, who lay sick, while Abu Bakr and `Umar were visiting him. One of them said to the other: "I do not think that he will survive," whereupon the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "In truth, he shall not die other than [by being] murdered. 98

Dought & clear, - How did the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spend his day?

How did the Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spend his day – an example of his daily life? Basically I wantto understand the daily routine in the life of the Prophet. What did he do after Fajr prayer? How did he have his breakfast and when? What was his etiquette when eating? What did he do from noon until he went to sleep, and after Tahajjud? To sum up, I want to know the daily routine of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Praise be to Allah.
When the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) woke up, he would pray Fajr with his Companions in the mosque. Then he would sit in the place where he had prayed, remembering Allah until the sun rose, and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would sit with him. Sometimes they would talk and remember things that happened before Islam; they would laugh and he would smile.
See the answer to question no. 100009.
The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) regularly offered Duha prayer with four or more rak‘ahs. It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray Duha with four rak‘ahs or more, as Allah willed.
Narrated by Muslim, 719
In his house, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would be at the service of his family: he would milk his sheep, patch his garment, serve himself and mend his shoes. When the time for prayer came, he would go out and lead the people in prayer, then he would sit with them, talk with them, teach them, exhort them, remind them, listen to their complaints, and reconcile between them. Then he would go back to his house.
‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked: What did the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) do in his house? She said: He was a human being like any other; he would clean his garment, milk his sheep and serve himself.
Narrated by Ahmad, 26194; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inas-Saheehah, 671
According to another report also narrated by Ahmad (24903): He used to stitch his garment, mend his shoes and work as other men work in their houses.
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inSaheeh al-Jaami‘, 4937.
Al-Bukhaari (676) narrated that al-Aswad said: I asked ‘Aa’ishah what the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to do in his house. She said: He would serve his family, then when the time for prayer came, he would go out to the prayer.
He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never criticised any food; if he liked it he would eat it, otherwise he would leave it.
Sometimes month after month would go by, and he would not find any food except dates and water.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never criticised any food; if he liked it he would eat it, otherwise he would leave it.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3563; Muslim, 2064
It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We would look at the new moon, then another new moon, three new moons in two months, and no fire would be lit in the houses of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). I – i.e., ‘Urwah ibn az-Zubayr – said: O aunt, what did you live on? She said: The two black ones, dates and water. But the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had some neighbours among the Ansaar who had milch-animals, and they used to give the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) some of their milk, and he gave it to us to drink.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2567; Muslim, 2972.
There are no details in the Sunnah about the meals that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to eat.
See the answer to question no. 115801
It was not the custom of the Muslims in the earliest times to eat three meals every day as people do nowadays. Rather the most they would have would be two meals: one at the beginning of the day and another in the evening.
If he wanted to bring the people together for some important matter, he would instruct someone to bring them together for him or to call out among them “As-salaatu jaami‘ah(prayer is about to begin)”, then he would talk to them about the reason he had brought them together. If he wanted to send a party out on a mission, he would send them; if he wanted to remind them of something, he would remind them; if he wanted to tell them about a new ruling, he would tell them, and so on.
He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would take a nap at midday, so that this siesta would give him strength to pray qiyaam al-layl (voluntary prayers at night). He would say: “Take a nap at midday, for the Shaytaan does not take a nap at midday.” Narrated by at-Tabaraani inal-Awsat, 28; classed as hasan by al-Albaani inas-Saheehah, 1647.
He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would check on people in their daily lives and interactions, and in their marketplaces; he would go and see them in the places where they gathered; he would visit their sick and accept their invitations; and he would attend to the needs of the weak and poor. Thus he spent most of his day dealing with that which concerned him of matters of religion and the people’s affairs, such as calling people to Allah, advising them, reminding them, introducing rulings, striving in jihad, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, helping the needy, and so on.
Muslim (102) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by a pile of foodstuff; he put his hand in it and found that it had gotten wet. He said, “What is this, O seller of the foodstuff?” He said: It got rained on, O Messenger of Allaah. He said: “Why don’t you put it on top of the food so that people can see it? Whoever deceives (people) does not belong to me.”
Al-Bayhaqi (20851) narrated that Jaabir said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Let us go to al-Baseer who is in Banu Waaqif and visit him (as he is sick).” He was a blind man.
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inas-Saheehah, 521
An-Nasaa’i (1414) narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to recite words of dhikr a great deal and rarely engaged in idle talk. He would make his prayer lengthy and his speeches short; he was not too proud to walk with widows and the needy in order to meet their needs.

When night came and he had led the people in praying ‘Isha’, if there was some matter on his mind concerning the Muslims’ affairs, he would discuss it with his senior companions; otherwise he would stay up with his family for a little while.
Imam Ahmad (178) and at-Tirmidhi (169 – and he classed it as hasan) narrated that ‘Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to stay up at night with Abu Bakr, discussing some of the Muslims’ affairs, and I would be with him.

Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It was part of his character that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) treated people kindly and was always cheerful. He would joke with his family and be gentle with them; he will spend generously on them and joke with his wives … His wives would gather every night in the house of the one with whom the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was staying that night, and sometimes he would eat supper with them, then each of them would go to her own house and he would sleep with the wife (in whose house he was staying the night) under one blanket; he would take off his upper garment and sleep in his lower garment. When he had prayed ‘Isha’, he would go into his house and stay up for a little while with his family before sleeping, to cheer them up; (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
End quote fromTafseer Ibn Katheer, 2/242
Then he would sleep at the beginning of the night, then get up to pray qiyaam al-layl, and he would pray as much as Allah willed that he should pray. Then when Bilaal gave the call for Fajr prayer, he would pray two rak‘ahs, then go out to the prayer.
Abu Dawood (56) narrated from ‘Aa’ishah that water for wudoo’ and his siwaak would be set out for the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and when he woke up at night he would relieve himself, then clean his teeth with the siwaak.
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maymoonah. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) conversed with his family for a while, then he went to sleep. Then when the last third of the night came, he sat up and looked at the sky and said:“Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:190]. Then he got up and did wudoo’ and cleaned his teeth, and prayed eleven rak‘ahs. Then Bilaal gave the call to prayer, so he prayed two rak‘ahs, then he went out (to the mosque) and prayed Fajr.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4569; Muslim, 763.
In conclusion:
The life of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was not a strict routine, as may be understood from these words. Rather it was purposeful and blessed work, as his Lord instructed him (interpretation of the meaning):“Say (O Muhammad SAW): ‘Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)’” [al-An ‘aam 6:162].
His practice was to interpret in a realistic manner the commands and laws of Allah, as the Mother of the Believers ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said.
Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (746) that Sa‘d ibn Hishaam ibn ‘Aamir said to the Mother of the Believers ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): O Mother of the believers, tell me about the character of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). She said: Do you not read the Qur’an? I said: Of course. She said: The character of the Prophet of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the Qur’an.

Dought & clear, - What do the words hulool (incarnation) and ittihaad (union with the divine) mean?

When I read books about belief (‘aqeedah), I often come across refutations of those who believe in ittihaad (union with the divine), refutations of those who believe in wahdat al-wujood (“unity of being”), and so on. What is meant by hulool (incarnation) and ittihaad (union with the divine)?
Praise be to Allah.
Hulool (incarnation) and ittihaad (union with the divine) – which includes the term wahdat al-wujood (“unity of being”):
These two terms are often mentioned in books on beliefs (‘aqeedah). They are esoteric and Sufi terms, and these concepts are also frequently mentioned in the books of false religions such as those of the Brahmins, Buddhists and others.
1. Hulool (incarnation)
(a)
What this word means in general terminology is when one of two things is absorbed into or incarnated into another.
This is complete mixing.
Al-Jarjaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Complete hulool is the union of two bodies in such a way that pointing to one is also pointing to the other, such as the juice in an orange.
Incomplete hulool is when one of the two entities acts as a vessel containing the other, such as water in a jug.
At-Ta‘reefaat, p. 92.
This is what is meant by hulool: affirmation of two entities, one of which is present in the other.
What is meant by this word as used by Sufis and others is the incarnation or presence of Allah – may He be glorified and exalted – in His creation or in some of His creation.
(b)
Types of hulool
Hulool may be divided into two types:
i. General hulool, which is the belief that Allah, may He be exalted, is present in all things.
But this hulool is similar to the idea of the incarnation of the divine (i.e., the Creator God) in the human (i.e., the created being), whilst affirming that the two entities are distinct and separate; in other words, He is not unified with the one in whom He is present, rather He is everywhere yet separate. Thus this is confirmation of two separate entities.
This is the view of the Jahamis and their ilk.
ii. Specific hulool, which is the belief that Allah – may He be glorified and exalted – is present in some of His creation, whilst believing that there is a Creator and a created being.
This is like the belief of some of the Christian sects, that divinity – meaning Allah, may He be glorified and exalted – is incarnated in humanity – meaning ‘Eesa (Jesus, peace be upon him) – and that ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) has two natures: the divine nature when he was speaking words of revelation, and a human nature when he was crucified (according to their belief).
This is also similar to the belief of some of the extreme Raafidis, such as the Nusayris, who believe that Allah – may He be glorified and exalted – was incarnated in ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, who was God (according to their belief); thus divinity was incarnated in him. This is one of their basic beliefs.
2. Ittihaad (union with the divine)
(a)
What is meant by ittihaad is that two things are one thing.
Al-Jarjaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Ittihaad means the mixing of two things until they become one thing.
At-Ta‘reefaat, p. 9
(b)
what is meant, according to those who believe in this notion, is that Allah – may He be glorified and exalted – becomes one with His creation or with some of His creation, in the sense that all created beings or some of them are the exact essence of Allah, may He be exalted.
(c)
Types of ittihaad:
i. Ittihaad in a general sense – which is also called wahdat al-wujood (“unity of being”). This is the belief that everything that exists is God Himself. In other words, the Creator is one with all of His creation. This is the meaning of wahdat al-wujood; those who believe in it are called al-ittihaadiyyah or ahl wahdat al-wujood, such as Ibn al-Faarid, Ibn ‘Arabi and others.
ii. Ittihaad in a specific sense, which is the belief that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, became one with some created beings but not others.
Those who believe in this exclude from it the idea of His being one with filthy and abhorrent things; they say that He became one with the Prophets, the righteous, the philosophers or others, and thus they became the exact essence of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted.
This is like the view of some Christian sects who believe that divinity became one with humanity, and they became one thing. This is unlike those who believe in incarnation, who believe that he (i.e., Christ) has two natures, divine and human.
Those who believe in ittihaad say one nature, and those who believe in hulool say two.
(d)
The difference between hulool and ittihaad
The difference between them may be summed up as follows:
i. Hulool affirms two entities, unlike ittihaad which affirms one entity.
ii. Hulool accepts that they are separable, whereas ittihaad does not accept that.
(e)
Examples that explain the difference between hulool and ittihaad:
There are many such examples, including the following:
If you put sugar into water without stirring it, this is hulool, because they are still two separate entities. But if you stir it until it is absorbed by the water, then they become one, because they cannot be separated again.
But if you put something different into the water, such as pebbles, then this is called hulool, not ittihaad, because the pebbles are one thing and the water is something else, and they can be separated.
(f)
Ruling on which of these two beliefs is worse
There is no doubt that believing in hulool or ittihaad is one of the greatest kinds of disbelief and heresy – Allah forbid.
But ittihaad is worse than hulool, because it is belief in one essence, unlike hulool. Moreover, the belief that He is one with everything is worse than the belief that He is one with some of His creation.
To sum up, belief in hulool and ittihaad is obviously false. Islam came to erase it from people’s minds, because it is a belief that is taken from the teachings, philosophies and idolatry of the Hindus, Greeks, Jews, Christians and others, so it is based on fabrications and myths.

Dought & clear, - Meaning of the verse “It is Allah Who has created seven heavensand of the earth the like thereof”

What is the meaning of the verse at the end of Soorat at-Talaaq (interpretation of the meaning): “It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (His) Knowledge.” [at-Talaaq 65:12]?
Praise be to Allah.
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (His) Knowledge.”
[at-Talaaq 65:12].
In this verse Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, tells us that He created seven heavens and seven earths, between which His command descends; this refers to His laws and commandments, and His decrees by which all things are controlled and His signs are made clear, so that His slaves may know that to Him belong the creation and the command, and that He has the utmost wisdom and perfect might; to Him belong the most beautiful names and sublime attributes; not even the weight of an atom (or small ant), in the highest heaven or the lowest earth, is beyond His power and knowledge; and so that they may know that He is able to bring people back to life after they have died, and raise them up and resurrect them from their graves, so that they will love Him and worship Him, and they will be obedient to Him and to His Messengers. This is the purpose for which He created mankind.
Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Allah, may He be exalted, tells us of His perfect might and absolute power, so that this will motivate us to venerate the true religion that He has ordained. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven).”
[at-Talaaq 65:12].
End quote fromTafseer Ibn Katheer, 8/156
Ash-Shawkaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “and of the earth the like thereof” means, and He created the earth something like them, i.e., seven. There was a difference of opinion concerning the nature of the levels of the earth. Al-Qurtubi said in hisTafseer: They (the scholars) differed concerning them, and there are two opinions. One of them, which is the view of the majority, is that there are seven earths in layers, one above another, and between each two earths there is a distance like that between heaven and earth. Ad-Dahhaak said: They are in layers, one above another, with no gap in between, unlike the heavens. But the former view is more correct, because the reports indicate that.
End quote fromFath al-Qadeer, 5/346
As-Sa‘di (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Allah, may He be exalted, tells us that He created all of creation, including the seven heavens and all that dwell therein, and the seven earths and all that dwell therein, and whatever is between them, and that He sent down His command, which is the laws and religious rulings that He revealed to His Messengers to remind and exhort His slaves, and His decrees by means of which he controls all of creation. All of that is so that His slaves will know Him and will understand that His power encompasses all things and His Knowledge encompasses all things. Then they will know Him by His holy attributes and beautiful names, and they will worship Him, love Him and fulfil their duties towards Him. This is the purpose behind creation and the command: to know Allah and worship Him. Those of the righteous slaves of Allah who were guided understood this and acted accordingly, but those who wronged themselves turned away from that.
End quote fromTafseer as-Sa‘di, p. 872
At-Tabaraani narrated inal-Mu‘jam al-Kabeer(8987) with a hasan isnaad from Ibn Mas‘ood that he said: The distance between the lowest heaven and the next one is the distance of five hundred years’ travel, and the distance between each heaven and the next is the distance of five hundred years’ travel.
So the heavens are seven, and the earths are seven, and that is by the perfect might of Allah, may He be exalted, and the command and decree of Allah descend between them.
What is required of us is to adhere to what is known from sharee‘ah, and not overstep the mark. The Qur’an and the saheeh Sunnah have told us that there are seven heavens and seven earths.
We know from the Sunnah that each heaven has its inhabitants, but there is nothing that tells us about the earths other than the one in which we live. So what we must do is adhere to what the reports say, and believe that there are seven earths, without seeking to know further, or to find out whether this is proven by modern science or not, or other things that may generate doubt and uncertainty. Rather we must believe that complete knowledge and power over these higher and lower realms belongs to Allah alone. This is part of knowing that He has power over all things, and that He encompasses all things in His knowledge. Nevertheless, we say: We hear, we obey and we believe.
And Allah knows best.

For children, - Shaytan, Shaitan, Satan, Devil: Where will I live, eat, sleep?

When Shaytan, Shaitan was ordered out of heaven by Allah, he asked three questions?
Where will I live? Where will I eat? Where will I sleep?
Allah told him that he, Shaytan, Shaitan would live with the person who did not say Bismillahirrahmanirrahi m (In the name of Allah, the beneficent the merciful)before he/she entered his/her house.
Shaytan, Shaitan would eat with the person who did not say Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (In the name of Allah, the beneficent the merciful) before he/she started to eat.
Shaytan, Shaitan would sleep with the person who did not say Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (In the name of Allah, the beneficent the merciful) before he/she went to sleep.
