*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

What is the ruling on voice-acting on the radio? I have searched a great deal on all the websites of the senior shaykhs such as Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, Shaykh Ibn Baaz, and others, and I could not find any clear answer.
Praise be to Allaah.
There are previous answers dealing with acting and what is connected to it. Please see the answers to questions no. 10836and 22442.
In the answer to question no. 14488there is a fatwa of the Standing Committee which states that it is haraam to act the part of any of the Companions of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in movies, plays and so on.
In those answers it also says:
1.
There is no difference between voice acting and acting that is seen.
2.
There is no difference of opinion among the scholars that acting which involves indecency, free mixing or any haraam content or actions is haraam.
3.
None of the scholars permit acting in general terms; rather they have stipulated conditions and guidelines.
4.
It is not appropriate to do a great deal of permissible acting -- according to those who say that it is permissible -- even if that is for the sake of calling people to Allah.
After searching a great deal, we did not find any fatwa by any of our senior scholars that speaks specifically of voice acting. What seems to be the case is that there is no difference between voice acting on the radio and acting that is seen, as it is all acting, whether the view is that it is permissible or that it is forbidden. But there is no doubt that acting that is seen is more serious in terms of fitnah and causes more corruption, because temptation caused by a living, visible image is not the same as temptation caused by a voice that is merely heard. But we are speaking of acting in and of itself, regardless of what other things may accompany it.
And Allah knows best.

Dought & clear, - Words and deeds of the Prophet (peaceand blessings of Allaah be upon him) before his mission began

Are the deeds and words of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) before his mission began regarded as Sunnah, such as his marriage to Khadeejah (may Allaah be pleased with her)?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The basic principle is that the actions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) before his mission began are outside of the legislative Sunnah, and that we are not required to follow him or take him as an example in that regard, except in cases where sharee’ah – after his mission began – affirmed that something was prescribed or Islamically acceptable, either by way of being obligatory or mustahabb, such as fulfilling promises, helping the destitute, honouring guests, helping people when calamity strikes and so on. In that case we are obliged to follow his example, because it became a law for us after his Prophethood began, and not just because he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did it before he was a Prophet. Based on this, there are some actions that he did before his mission began that we are not obliged to follow, either because there is no proof that it is prescribed for us or because there are reports to show that it was abrogated after his mission began.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The things that happened before Prophethood are not mentioned as things to be followed or that are legislated, as is the case with his actions after Prophethood, because the Muslims are unanimously agreed that what is obligatory with regard to believing in him (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and following what he brought, is that which has to do with what happened after he became the Prophet.
Hence whoever stays away from Jumu’ah prayer and prayers in congregation, and lives alone in caves and mountains, where there is no Jumu’ah or prayer in congregation, and claims to be following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) because he was used to worship alone in the cave of Hira’ before his Prophethood, thus forsaking the acts of worship that were prescribed and enjoined by Allaah and His Messenger, and following the example of what he used to do before Prophethood, is wrong. That is because, after Allaah honoured him with Prophethood, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) no longer did what he used to do before that, of worshipping alone in the cave of Hira and so on.
None of his Sahaabah after him went to the Cave of Hira’, and they did not stay away from Jumu’ah prayer or prayers in congregation in isolated places, and none of them observed any kind of forty-day retreat, as some of the later Muslims did. Rather they worshipped Allaah by means of the prescribed acts of worship that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ordained for them. End quote fromMajmoo’ al-Fataawa(18/10).
With regard to the muhaddithoon (scholars of hadeeth), they paid attention to what was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) at all times, even if it was before his mission began. That is part of the Sunnah according to the definition of the muhaddithoon, who regard everything that was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as Sunnah, so they narrated it in their books on that basis.
See:Af’aal al-Rasool sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam wa Dalaalatuhaa ‘ala al-Ahkaam, by Dr. Muhammad al-‘Aroosi (149).
And Allaah knows best.

An emperor was coming out of his palace for his morning walk when he met a beggar. He asked the beggar, "What do you want?" the beggar laughed and said, "You are asking me as though you can fulfill my desire." The emperor was offended. He said, "Of course I can fulfill your desire. What is it? Just tell me." And the beggar said, "Think twice before you promise anything." The beggar was no ordinary beggar. So he insisted, "I will fulfill anything you ask. I am a very powerful emperor, what can you possibly desire that I can not give to you?" The beggar said, "It is a very simple desire. You see this begging bowl? Can you fill it with something?"
The emperor said, "Of course!" He called one of his viziers and told him, "Fill this man's begging bowl with money." The vizier went and got some money and poured it into the bowl, and it disappeared. And he poured more and more, but the moment he would pour it, it would disappear. And the begging bowl remained always empty.
The whole palace gathered. By and by the rumor went throughout the whole capital, and a huge crowd gathered. The prestige of the emperor was at stake. He said to his viziers, "If the whole kingdom is lost, I am ready to lose it, but I cannot be defeated by this beggar."
Diamonds and pearls and emeralds, his treasuries were becoming empty. The begging bowl seemed to be bottomless. Everything that was put into it - everything - immediately disappeared, and went out of existence. Finally it was the evening, and the people were standing there in utter silence. The emperor dropped at the feet of the beggar and admitted his defeat. He said, "Just tell me one thing. You are victorious - but before you leave, just fulfill my curiosity. What is the begging bowl made of?"
The beggar laughed and said, "It is made up of the human mind. There is no secret. It is simple made up of human desire."
This understanding transforms life. Go into one desire - what is the mechanism of it? First there is a great excitement, great thrill, adventure.
Something is going to happen; you are on the verge of it. And then you have your chariot and your palace and all the diamonds of the world, suddenly all is meaningless again.
What happens? Your mind has dematerialized it. The chariot is standing in the driveway, but there is no excitement anymore. The excitement was only in getting it. You became so drunk with the desire that you forgot your inner nothingness. Now the desire is fulfilled, the chariot in the driveway, the diamonds in your very hands - again excitement disappears. Again the emptiness is there, ready to eat you up. Again you have to create another desire to escape this yawning abyss.
That's how one moves from one desire to another desire. That's how one remains a beggar, in reality it is truly you who is the beggar, your whole life proves it again and again - every desire frustrates. And when the goal is achieved, you will need another desire.
The day you understand that desire as such is going to fail comes the turning point in your life, I am content with all my Lord the most high has provided me.
The other journey is to your Lord which you cannot escape. "He created the heavens and the earth in just proportions and has given you shape, and has made your shapes beautiful: and to Him is the final return." Noble Qur'an profoundly teaches that: Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest! Noble Qur'an (13:28)
