*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Determined prayer is the key to destiny

There are various elements in life you come face to face with every
dayand that you imagine you know and understand very well; so much so
that you imagine it would be impossible to understand the majority of
them any better than you do already. But that is not always true.
Sometimes you may hear a different account or witness something that
leads to a brand new door, a new horizon you had never contemplated
before, opening up on a subject you thought you knew so well. Your
whole perspective changes, not only momentarily but fundamentally. You
acquire a new perspective on that long familiar subject, as if you
were encountering it for the first time.
One of these subjects about which one constantly acquires a new and
more profound conception during the various stages of one's life is
'prayer.' A believer knows that Allah will heedall prayers, and trusts
in that truth with all his heart. But the more a person's closeness to
Allah, depth of faith and understanding of destiny grow, the more his
perspective toward prayerdeepens and is perfected. Although he knows
the verses of the Qur'an very well, the spiritual power that Allah
instills in his heart through those verses constantly
increaseswhenever he reads them again. And for someone who is
determined in faith, this situation is repeated constantly until the
end of his life.
One piece of knowledge regarding prayer that will again be
instrumental in the opening of his heart when he hears it is that
prayer 'is the key to destiny.' This is part of thelaw of Allah. When
Muslims beseech Allah with love and passion, by His leave, what they
desirewill come about.
This is a secret mystery of Allah that very few peopleare aware of.
When one prays, Allah's destiny goes into motion. Mass prayer
especially has a particular power; when Muslims request something
determinedlyand en masse , and when they embrace natural causes, then
by Allah's leave, something that people thought would never happen
does in fact come to pass. Allah has created the world by that law.
Allah is He Who heeds every prayer
Allah has cited many examples in the Qur'an so that people can
understand this secret of destiny: the Prophet Jonah(pbuh) frequently
prayed to Allah from inside the stomach of the whale, andAllah rescued
him in an incomparable manner. When the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and his
people were trapped between Pharaoh's army and the sea, the Prophet
Moses (pbuh) prayed to Allah in full submission, and Allah created a
miraculous escape for him and his people. Rasulullah (saas) placed all
his trust in the infinite might of Allah when he and a friend were in
the cave, and Allahspared him from the traps of the unbelievers and
granted him victory. In thesame way, when the Prophet Joseph (pbuh)
was thrown down the well, Allah in His infinite mercy sent him help.
Allahagain manifested His infinite mercy when the Prophet Abraham
(pbuh) was about to be cast into the flames, and made them cool for
him. The Prophet Zechariah (pbuh) prayed to Allah, and despite their
advanced age, he and his wife were blessed by Allah with the birth of
the Prophet John (pbuh).
Some of the verses of the Qur'an that reveal how Allah heeds the
sincere calls of His prophets are asfollows:
Jonah too was one of the messengers. When heran away to the fully
laden shipand cast lots and lost. Then the fish devoured him and he
was to blame. Had it not been that he was a man who glorified Allah,
he would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are raised
again. So We cast him up onto the beach and he was sick; and We caused
a gourd tree to grow over him. We sent him to a hundred thousand or
even more. They believed and so We gave them enjoyment for a time.
(Surat as-Saffat, 139-148)
And when the two hosts came into sight of one another Moses'
companions said, "We will surely be overtaken!" He said, "Never! My
Lord is with me and He will guide me." So We revealed to Moses,
"Strike the sea with your staff." And it split in two, each part like
a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued
Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There
is certainly a sign in that yet most of them are not believers. (Surat
ash-Shu'ara', 61-67)
If you do not help him, Allah did help him when the unbelievers drove
him out and there were two of them in the Cave. He said to his
companion, "Do not be despondent, Allah is with us." Then Allah sent
down His serenity upon him and reinforced him with troops you could
not see. He made the word of the unbelievers undermost. It is the word
of Allah which is uppermost. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat
at-Tawba, 40)

Wisdoms in raindrops

Why does rain not fall in the form of a mass like a waterfall but
fall assingle drops?
· What is the shape and size of raindrops?
· Why does rain not heatup due to friction force and fall in the form
of boiling water?
Every year, approximately 45 million cubic meters of water vaporize
from the oceans. The vaporized water is turned into cloudsand moved to
the land viawinds. So every year between three and four cubic meters
of water moves from the oceans to the lands, meaning where we live.
Water, which people cannot control the circulation of and cannot live
without it, is sent specially. Also there are many wonders about the
formation of water and itsfall onto the ground. In the Qur'an, Allah
reveals the erudite characteristics of the rain, which is one ofthe
clearest signs that a person should be "thankful", as such:
" Have you thought about the water that youdrink? Is it you who sent
it down from the clouds or are We the Sender? If We wished We could
have made it bitter,so will you not give thanks? " (Surat al-Waqi'a ,
68-70)
It is Allah's Mercy That Rain Falls Drop by Drop From the Clouds
One of the wonders Allah created in rain is that rain does not fall
onto the ground in the form of a large water mass like waterfalls. If
rain fell on the ground in this form, it would not be possible for
people to continue their daily lives during rainy seasons and floods
would form during every rainfall. These floods would drag away
everything in front of them and cause serious damage, both material
and spiritual. However, due to the laws of physics created by our
Almighty Lord, it falls on the groundin drops and by decreasingits
speed turns into the precious water that is the source of life for
all beings.
The reason that rain falls in drops is that water droplets are formed
insideclouds. As is known, a cloud is formed by water vapor being
thickened with dust and electrically positive charged particles. The
diameter of these particles are generally between one and ten microns.
(1 micron = 0.001millimeters.) When clouds move upwards at a
certainspeed (1-10 meters/sec), they take water droplets with them
naturally. As the water droplets rise up,they get bigger as their
volume increases. Two or more droplets unite and form a rain drop. The
air can no longer carry these drops and the rain drops begin to fall
to the ground.
Since big drops fall faster than small drops until they reach a fixed
speed, big drops and small drops crash and unite. Drops, which get
bigger through crashing and uniting, encounter air resistance which
distorts the shape of the water drop, spreadsand turns into many small
droplets in a short time, something on the order of six hundreths of
a second. Since the speeds of drops of the same size are the same, and
they move in the same direction, they do not crash with one another.
Raindrops Slow Down When Falling On the Ground by Our Lord's Inspiration
One of the wonders our Almighty Lord created in raindrops is certainly
the falling speed of rain. Whenan object of the same size and weight
as a raindrop is left from a height of 1,200 meters, it would
getfaster gradually and fall onthe ground with a speed of almost 558
kilometers per hour. If the raindrop would fall from this heightin the
same way, this timeall crops would be destroyed, places of settlement,
houses and cars would be damaged and people would not be able to walk
without taking necessary precautions. However, such an incident never
occurs; no matter how high a distance raindrops fall from, when they
reach the ground their speeds are only eight to ten kilometers per
hour. The reason for this is that the raindrop has a shape that
increases the frictional force of the atmosphere and makes it fall
slower. If the raindrop had another shape, or if the atmosphere had no
friction force, it would be enough to take a look at these numbers to
see the disasters the world would face every time it rained.
The minimum height of rain clouds is 1,200 meters. The effect of a
single drop that falls from this height is equal to the fall of a one
kilogram weight from a height of 15 centimeters.
There are also rain cloudsup to 10,000 meters high. This time a single
drop would have the same effect of a one kilogram weight falling from
110 centimeters high and thus people would need to take shelter by
taking major precautions.
As it is seen, Allah defines the falling speed of rain and makes rain
beneficial for all beings:
" And We sent down blessed water from the sky and made gardens grow
by it and grain for harvesting " (Surah Qaf, 9)

Cats' eyes with sharpnight vision

How do cats sense the world?
· Why are their form of seeing and sensing the world different from
human beings?
The features of creation in cats' eyes are one of the evidences of the
perfection in Almighty Allah's creation. Our Lord created cats' eyes
with thecontrol and coordination features compatible with the needs of
these beings. In one verse, the perfection in Allah's creation is told
as such:
"He is Allah – the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him
belong the Most Beautiful Names.Everything in the heavens and earth
glorifies Him.He is the Almighty, the All-Wise."(Surat al-Hashr,24)
Cats' Night Vision Is Very Strong
Cats can easily distinguish colors like green, blue and red. However,
the actual superiority of their eyes is that they are created for
night vision. Cats' eyelids open up at nights; so in environments of
low light, the colored layer of the eye called the iris makes the pupil
larger (covering more than almost 90% of the eye) and allows more
light to come in. In environments with high levels of light, this
system works in the opposite wayto protect the retina, the pupil
narrows and turns into a thin line.
There is a layer that does not exist in humans. This layer just behind
the retiana reflects the light. Since the light that falls onthis
layer is reflected back, light passes two times through the retina.
Therefore, cats can easily see in low light, and even in dark
environments the human eye cannot see in. The reason that cats' eyes
shine under light in the dark is this layer. This layer is made up of
tapetum lucidum crystals that reflect light. Thanks to these crystals,
the light that falls on the back of the eye is reflected back tothe
retina. Some of the reflected light turns back from the lens, and
causes the eyes to shine at night. Thanks to this structure, the
amount of light the eye can see in the dark is increased, and more
precisely, available light is better used. Therefore, cats have
better vision in the dark. This is not a formof bio-luminescence,
because the light is not produced by the animal, but is a result of
light being reflected back.
Another reason that cats can see well in the dark is that there are
more rod cells than cone cells in their retinas. As it is known, rod
cells are sensitive to light only. They form a black or whiteimage
depending on the light that comes from objects, but they are sensitive
enough to work even with little light.
Thanks to these special rod cells, all cats can easilyhunt at night.
As it is seen, Allah created the most appropriate eye structure for
their living conditions and nutritional needs. Cats' eyes have
markedly different structures and characteristics in line with their
own needs. This is one of the unique examples of Allah's art of
creation. Our Lord's uniquescience of creation is revealed in one
verse as such:
" The Originator of the heavens and earth. When He decides on
something, He just says to it, 'Be!' and it is. (Suratal-Baqara, 117)
Cats' Visual Field Is Very Wide
In addition to cats' perfect vision at night, their visual field is
also much wider than that of humans. Whereas mans' visual field is
limited to 160 degrees, cats can easily see up to 187 degrees. With
these characteristics, they can easily detect threats. This
characteristic of the eye is another example of Allah's art and
manifestation on beings indifferent ways. As it is toldin the Qur'an,
these creation characteristics area form of example (lesson)for
believers:
"There is instruction for you in cattle... " (Surat an-Nahl, 66)
Cats' Eye Structure Is Different Than Men
In cats' eyes, there is a third eyelid called the " nictitating
membrane." This membrane is transparent, and moves from one side of
the eye to the other. As such, cats can blink their eyes without
completely closing them. This third eyelid prevents the cat's eye from
being harmed while hunting. Moreover, it ensures materials such as
dust and such keep away from the surface of the eye and that the eye
stays moist; this is becausecats do not constantly blink their eyes
like humans. If cats blinked their eyes all the time to keep their
eyes moist like humans, this would cause a great hardship for them
while hunting. Not blinking their eyes is a perfect advantage Allah
created for these beings.
Cats' Eyes Are Sensitive To Movements
Cats cannot see close-range as clearly as people do and cannot focus
on objects close to them. But our Lord granted sensory hairs with a
very strong sensory mechanism to these beings. Cats can easily detect
close-range thanks to their sense of smell and sensory hairs.

The Characteristics Of Creation In Frogs’ Jumping Movements

Frogs are perfect beings that can easily travel long distances by jumping
• How do frogs jump even though they have exercised for this?
• Why do they not get tired during these jumping movements?
Today athletes exercise and condition themselves for many years in
order to jump long distances and work out to prepare their muscles to
jump because jumping is a movement that puts a good of stress on all
muscles. Since it requires all the muscles of the body working
together, it causes a very serious amount of energy to be expended and
it is also very tiring. But this movement, which is very tiring for
man, is very ordinary and easy for a small frog. After a person jumps
for a number of times, he is out of breath, but the frog is not even
tired.
The Source of Frogs' Jumping Characteristic IsHidden In Their Creation
Some frogs can jump amazingly great distances. This jumping
characteristicof frogs has caught the attention of researchers from
the Brown University and they have examined the workings of frogs'
muscles with the help of X-ray technology by filming the jumping of
frogs.
Henry Astley of Brown University, who examines the bio-mechanics of
the jumping of frogs , points out the miraculous situation of a frog's
jump by saying "Muscles cannot produce such good jumps on their own."
As a result of detailed examinations , it was found that the
mechanical working of frog tendons function like water under
pressure. What is behind the jump is the characteristic of a
"stretched tendon." When getting ready to jump, tendons stretch and
kick back during the jump. Before the jump, leg muscles shorten, and
load energy on every tendon directs this energy loaded on it with
pressure and makes the frog jump. This pressure is so strong that it
can cause the frog to jump far away.
In order to form this pressure, one quarter of the frog's body weight
accumulates on its legs. In other words, when this stretching and
kicking back under pressure do not happen, frogs that dwell on tree
tops and leaves in water cannot maintain their lives.
Scientists who examined the frog's jump with threedimensional X-ray
technology realized that the jump is more complex than this.
When the frog prepares tojump, its calf muscles shorten. After
exactly 100 milliseconds, this muscle stops moving and energyis
loaded onto the stretched tendons. During the jump, the tendon wrapped
around the ankle-bone releases the energy with the speed of an arrow
being released from a bow. This resonance causes the ankle joint to
enlarge veryfast and throws the frog forward with pressure.
Frogs' Jumping Techniques Are A Work of Allah's Infinite Knowledge
The jumping characteristic and muscle structure of frogs is important
to understand that Darwinistopinions about reptiles learning to jump
and turning into frogs are wrong. This great fallacy isbecause the
jumping movement is seen by Darwinists as a very simple and learned
movement.
However, while a being can learn to jump as muchas it wants, it cannot
alter the structure of its musclesor the workings of its tendons. In
order to make an anatomical change in the body, all the genes and the
DNA of that being would have to be re-written. The cells can build
that tendon only if there is information on what the tendon will look
like and how it will work in its genes.
No being has the means orknowledge to alter its own genetic structures
and re-write its whole gene map.
Our Almighty Lord, Who is the Creator and Controller of all things in
the sky, on the ground and in between, controls all genes and cells.
Allah, Whocreates every single gene and inspires to every cell the
tendon it will build, provides the perfect qualities in living beings
as an evidence for His Name, "He Who Creates Flawlessly."
"He is Allah – the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him
belong the Most Beautiful Names.Everything in the heavens and earth
glorifies Him.He is the Almighty, the All-Wise." (Surat al-Hashr, 24)
Frogs have not acquired the ability to jump through their own efforts
or by coincidences, but were created with this ability right from the
beginning. No doubt, Almighty Allah, the Owner of all things, is the
One Who creates the frog. Allah controls the metabolism of frogs and
all other beings on earth at every moment. In one verse of the Quran
it is revealed as such:
"I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no
creature He does not hold by the forelock. My Lord is on a Straight
Path." (Surah Hud, 56)
