Our Lord's mercy and compassion over living beings manifests itself

use to survive, sometimes to run away and sometimes when they have to
chase.
What are the fastest animals in the world?
What are the characteristics of these animals?
Fastest Beings In The Air
Birds are the fastest animals on earth. That friction force is less
in the air has a big impact on birds being the fastest creatures. The
fastest among birds is the tercel, which is as big as a crow. The
speed of this little bird, which flies 320 kilometers per hour, is
equal to the latest speeds of cars such as the Lamborghini Murcielago
Convertible, which is the fastest production car in the world, and
Formula 1 racers.
These beings first climb in the air and then dive on their prey flying
underneath them at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour, using a special
hunting technique called "diving." Then they suddenly catch the prey
that dies as a result of this impact in the air and this ends the
hunting process. These beings gain this amazing speed only when they
dive to the ground for hunting. There is no doubt that the speed of
this bird, that reached a record speed in the air when compared to
other birds, and the ability to calculate the impact point or catch
its prey in mid-aircannot occur coincidentally. Besides these, birds
of the falcon species need to be able to see their prey from very far
distances in order to maintain its life. This couldonly be ensured
with the visual acuity of falcons being seven times sharper than
that of man. This speed of falcons is, no doubt, a wonder of creation
that makes them perfect hunters and are a result of Almighty Allah's
superior creation. They could only fly because Allah, the All-Knowing,
inspires them to fly this fast and because He created the necessary
systems in their bodies. In one verse, this truth is revealed as
follows:
" Have they not looked atthe birds above them, with wings outspread
and folded back? Nothing holds them up but the All-Merciful. He sees
all things. " (Surat al-Mulk, 19)
Fastest Beings in Water:
All sea creatures from the tiniest fish to the biggest whale move
easily with a superior maneuverability , swim with the highest
efficiency by masterly using their body weight and easily feed. The
reason for this is that the swimming system of every fish species is
created in a perfect manner. The location of their fins is specially
selected, the size of their gills and the indents on their skins have
the characteristics that meet their needs perfectly.
The way a fish swims looks like the working system of machines. Almost
all machines move around a fixed axis with a fixed rotation speed and
produce power via pieces called shafts. Fish also produce power, but
their working system is much different than that of machines. Every
single crank in fish is connected in such a way that movement takes
place on a single plane. Therefore, the fish's spine moves right and
left continuouslylike a snake curling on the ground. The fish's speed
offorward movement is also directly proportional to the right-to-left
traffic speed of the axis of the finalong the fish's spine. When the
fin gets close to the axis speed increases and when it is away from
it, it decreases.
Sudden acceleration is vital for fish, because they need this
capability both to hunt and to run away from predators. Some small
fish can reach their maximum speeds in a short time like
one-twentieth of a second.The thrust they produce inthe meantime is
four times their own weight.
This means sports cars reaching 100 kilometers from 0 kilometer within
4-6 seconds, but normally such a thing is impossible because cars need
more time to reach their maximum speeds. However, for fish the time we
mentioned is only one-twentieth of a second.Besides all of these,
there is also another point that needs to be mentioned. Fish also show
this superior performance sometimes swimming against currents. When
it is considered that water's resistance is far more thanthat of the
air, it can be understood that fish have an extraordinary performance.
Some examples about this superior performance of fish are as follows:
The best example about this subject is no doubt the Mediterranean
spearfish. The Mediterranean spearfish, which looks like a swordfish
and has a very large dorsal fin , is the fastest creature in water
with a speed of 110 kilometers per hour. This fish, which has a total
weight of 100 kilos and a height of 3.4 meters, feedson smaller fish
and cuttlefish, thanks to its strong fins and aerodynamic qualities
andcan also escape from sharks easily.

STORY - ~ There Is No Such Thing as the “First Self-reproducing Molecule That Gave Rise to Life”

The scenario regarding lifethat Darwinists have been rehearsing ever
since Darwin's time begins with a mythical "first cell" that
supposedly came into being spontaneously. This mythical first cell;
Was described in Darwin's day as "a small balloon filled with water,"
because under the primitive conditions of thetime, nobody even knew
what the cell really lookedlike.
It was irrationally suggested that this alleged first cell came into
being spontaneously in water.
It was claimed that all the varieties of life developed from this
first cell that came into being by chance.
Enormous scientific progress was subsequently made in the 20th Century
and the structure of the cell was fully revealed. It was realized
that;
A single cell has a more complex structure than the city of New York.
That it was impossible foreven a single protein inside the cell, let
alone a cell itself, to come about spontaneously.
The idea that the cell came into being in muddy water is therefore
scientifically illogical and impossible.
These facts caused a terrible panic among Darwinists. The fact that
the theory of evolution had collapsed RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF LIFE
totally demoralized them. They wanted to conceal this fact. They set
about using the press and universities. "We can probably manufacture
protein in laboratories andare conducting experiments," they said.
"There are hypotheses that life began from a single cell," they said.
"We will prove our claims eventually," they said. But nothing changed
over the next 150 years and no evolutionary claim was ever proved. On
the contrary, every new scientific advance has proven that no protein
canever come into being by chance.
Why Do Evolutionists in Turkey Still Espouse Claims That Darwinists
Elsewhere Have Abandoned?
Stunned by a succession ofscientific defeats, Darwinists recently,
under the leadership of Richard Dawkins, began speaking of a supposed
"self-reproducing molecule." But even this did not rescue the
position, and even Dawkins had to publicly admit the illogicalnature
of the claim, and thus that such a creation could only be brought
intobeing by a sublime intelligence.
Yes despite all these facts and scientific advances, evolutionists in
Turkey insist on repeating the idea. They reiterate such illogical and
unscientific ideas as, "We cannot speak of an advanced life form, but
we speak of an organization progressing toward life," "...the first
self-replicating molecule created life," or "....life emerging from
inanimate matter is the result of the laws of nature, and there is
nothing to discuss aboutit." The reason for this is that these people
are unable to divorce themselves from the old, fraudulent evolutionist
conception of science.
There Is No Such Thing as a First Self-reproducing Molecule
Since Darwinists are unable to account for howa protein might have
formed spontaneously, they claim that the beginning of life was "a
first molecule capable of self-reproducing." First of all, there is no
such thing as a "self-reproducing molecule." If this moleculewas a
protein, the smallestunits inside the living cell, then it must be
borne in mind that proteins themselves have no "self-reproductive"
property. In order for a protein to be able to self-replicate, IT
NEEDS
Other proteins
DNA
Ribosomes
Endoplasmic reticulum
Cytoplasm
Energy manufacturing mitochondria
And the cell membrane.
IN SHORT,
A FULLY EQUIPPED CELL.
Therefore, the idea of a "self-reproducing molecule" is totally
fraudulent. It is impossiblefor a molecule not inside aliving cell to
be able to take in energy from the outside and use it to replicate
itself . To refer to this as "an organization progressing toward life"
isdemagoguery and a deliberate distraction. "Organization progressing
toward life" is a totally illogical term. The smallestliving thing is
"a CELL." Only a cell and the structures inside it can self-reproduce.
Only a cell can take in energy from the outside and use it. Only a
cell can maintain itsown existence through its own organelles and the
energy it takes in from theoutside.
To put it another way, there can be no supposed stages progressing
from the inanimate toward life .LIFE CAN NEVER COME FROMSOMETHING
INANIMATE. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. IT IS SCIENCE THAT SAYS
THIS, PROVEN, CONCLUSIVE, SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS. When Darwinists say,
"....there is scientific evidence that lifeformed from inanimate
matter," they are not speaking the truth.

An Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Kamala Nehru College
recalls how mangoes were chosen, how they became an open house
Saturday affair at home and she wonders why this king of fruits (her
favourite!) is called 'Aam' (ordinary) when it is anything but!

There is nothing as messy and enjoyable as eating a mango in the
monsoon rain sitting on a swing. Try it. The sweetness of the mango,
the salty rainwaterdashing against your cheeks, and the suspended
parabolic state as you swing up and down makes the experience most
delectable.
Since childhood this king offruits has made my summer basket most
memorable. Almost all summers in my house are about squishing mangoes.
My father buys them with ritualistic fervor. He gets upat five in the
morning to catch the enviable best. And as summer lazily moves its
tail my family stock moves, from Alphonso to Safayda; from Dusseheri
to Langda; and the last of the season Chausa. An old school mango
eater, my father celebrates the fruit with a rigid mango protocol,
refusing to buy it in any other order.
Any real connoisseur of thisfruit knows that buying a mango is as much
an art – it should be ripe and yellow with just a touch of green,
should have the characteristic mango smell and as you touch it, it
should yield mildly.
Mango eating in my house is an affair– in Hindustani aword that would
describe it most ideally would be -a 'Majlis'. Every Saturday friends
are invited and lots of mangoes are on offer and to say the least no
onecounts as we all savor it with chit–chat.
In my family album summer months can be easily identified, as one of
us would be carrying a precariously placed boil along with a cheesy
smile, thanks to the hectic mangoconsumption.
The mango tale, I remember most vividly is how my sister and I jumped
the rear window ofour ground floor house choosing to savor mangoesin
the monsoon rain over the
pre-scheduled weekly Kathak class. I still remember peeping out of the
window to find guruji approaching in his white Kurta-Pyjama, his salt
and pepper curly locks dancing against the invitingly black rain
clouds. We sisters, swiftly tucked our mangoes under our elbowsand
jumped out of the window. That was the end of Kathak for both of us.

NEWS - ~ The biggest ghost town in China

In Inner Mongolia a new city stands largely empty.This city, Ordos,
suggests that the great Chinese building boom, which did so much to
fuel the country's astonishing economic growth, is over. Is a bubble
about toburst?
A huge statue of the mighty warrior Genghis Khan presides over
GenghisKhan Plaza in Ordos New Town. The square is vast, fading into
the snowy mist on a recent Sunday morning.
Genghis Khan Plaza is flanked by huge and imposing buildings.
Two giant horses from the steppes rise on their hind legs in the
centre of the Plaza, statues which dwarf the great Khan himself.
Only one element is missing from this vast ensemble - people.
There are only two or threeof us in this immense townscape. Because
this is Ordos, a place that has been called the largest ghost town in
China.
Most of the new town buildings are empty or unfinished. The rampant
apartment blocks are full ofunsold flats.
It is a spectacular example of a new Chinese phenomenon, in many
cities - unsold flats,unlet shops, empty office blocks"
If you want to find a place where China's huge housing bubble has
alreadyburst, then Ordos is the place to come.
The story started about 20 years ago, with the beginning of a great
Mongolian coal rush.
Private mining companies poured into the green Inner Mongolian steppe
lands, pock-marking the landscape with enormous opencast holes in the
ground, or tunnelling underground.
Local farmers sold their land to the miners, and became instantly
rich. Jobs burgeoned. Ceaseless coal truck convoys tore up the roads.
And the old city of Ordos flourished as the money flowed in.
The municipality decided to think big, too.
It laid out plans for a huge new town for hundreds of thousands of
residents, with Genghis Khan Plaza atthe centre of it.

ADVISE :- ~ The result of unawareness

Despite all of Allah's warnings, unawareness quickly draws those who
persist in it toward a horrible, indescribable, and eternal
punishment. Allah created this world asa place of testing, and those
who leave it without becoming aware will continue their lives
eternally among the people of Hell.
As revealed in the Qur'an, their eyes and ears have been sealed and
their understanding removed. Their understanding and awareness are
like those of animals. And, because they are so by choice, theyare
even lower than animals:
We created many of the jinn and humanity for Hell. They have hearts
with which they do not understand, eyes with which they do not see,
and ears with which they do not hear. Such people are like cattle. No,
they are even furtherastray! They are the unaware. (Surat al-A'raf:
179)
Do you suppose that most of them hear or understand? They are just
like cattle. Indeed, they are even further astray! (Surat al-Furqan:
44 )
Animals have no awareness. Allah comparesunaware people to them,
because their animal-like unawareness has caused their hearts to
harden. Whatever they see and hear, and all of the admonitions and
advice they receive, do not lift them out of that state. As a result,
they do not learn anything from what happens to them.
All people without exception are responsible for understanding and
living according to the truth. But if they persist in their
unawareness, they become less intelligent than other living species
and lose those qualities that make them human. The sense, perception,
andunderstanding that Allah gives to everyone so that they can know of
His existence and serve Him are closed to these people who are
determined to persist in unawareness:
Those are the people whose hearts, hearing, and sight have been sealed
up by Allah. They are the unaware. (Surat an-Nahl: 108)
Such individuals can no longer save themselves from living among the
people of Hell unless they turn towards Him. Their lack of awareness
and confusion will be even greater in Hell:
Those who are blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter and
even further off the Path.(Surat al-Isra': 72)
The harshness of the punishment and its terror are described in verses
as follows:
… the kindled Fire of Allah reaching right into the heart. It is
sealed in above them in towering columns. (Surat al-Humaza: 6-9)
People who live in a state of unawareness, who make no effort to
escape from this state, and who die without being aware of the Qur'an
and His pleasure will be dragged down to Hell.

HADEES - ~ Their Significance, Supererogatory Prayers

At-tatawwu', or nawafil or supererogatory prayers, have been
legislated to make up for any deficiencies left in the performance of
fard salah (obligatory prayers). In salah, there are virtues that are
not found in any other form of worship. Abu Hurairah reports that the
Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said: "The first thing that the
people will be called to account for on the Day of Resurrection will
be the prayers. Our Lord will say to the angels although He knows
better: 'Look into the salah of my servant to see if he observed it
perfectly or been negligent in it. So if he observed it perfectly it
will be recorded to his credit, but if he had been negligent in it in
any way, Allah would say: See if My servant has any supererogatory
prayers. Then if he has any supererogatory prayers, Allah would say:
Make up the deficiency in My servant's obligatory prayer with his
supererogatory prayers.' Thereafter all his actions will be examined
in like manner" (Abu Dawud).
Abu Umamah narrates that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said:
"Allah does not listen to anything from His slave as He does to the
two rak'at (of prayer)that he offers. Mercy descends over the
servant's head as long as he remains in prayer" (Ahmad and
at-Tirmizhi). As-Sayuti gradesit sahih. In al-Muwatta', Malik says:
"It has reached me that the Prophet said: '(Try to) keep to
thestraight path although you won'tbe able to do so completely; and
know that the best of your deedsis the salah, and only a (true)
believer preserves his wudu.'" Muslim records from Rabi'ah ibn Malik
al-Aslami that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said:"Ask
(anything)." Rabi'ah said: "I ask of you to be your companionin
paradise." The Prophet said:"Or anything else?" Rabi'ah said:"That is
it." The Prophet sallallahualehi wasallam said to him: "Thenhelp me by
making many prostrations (i.e., supererogatory prayers)."

HADEES - ~ Offering Supererogatory Prayers in One's House

Ahmad and Muslim relate from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah said:
"If one of you offers his prayers in the Mosque then he should make a
portion of his prayers in his house, as Allah has made his prayers in
his house a means of betterment (for him)."
Ahmad records from 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: "The
nawafil salah of a man in his house are a light; whoever wishes should
lighten up his house."
'Abdullah ibn 'Umar reports that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam
said: "Make some of your prayers in your houses and do not turn your
houses into graves." This statement is related by Ahmad and Abu Dawud.
Abu Dawud records from Zaid ibn Thabit on sound authority that the
Messenger of Allah said: "A person's salah in his house is better than
his salah in my mosque, except for the fard salah."
These hadith prove that it is preferred to say one's nawafil prayers
in one' s house since prayers in one ' s house are better than those
that he performs in the mosque. An-Nawawi says: "The Prophet
sallallahu alehi wasallam encouraged one to offer nawafl in one's
house because then the prayers are more private and willhave less of a
chance of being done for show and will be free from defects that
vitiate good deeds. Furthermore, this will be ablessing for the house
as mercy and angels will descend on it while Satan flees from it."

HADEES - ~ Supererogatory prayers, their Elongation

It is preferred to prolong the reciting by making many rak'at. The
group, except for Abu Dawud, reports that al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah
said: "The Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam would stand and pray
until his feet or shanks swelled. When he was asked about it, he said:
'Should I not be a thankful slave?"' Abu Dawud records from 'Abdullah
ibn Hubshi al-Khath'ami that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam was
asked: "What is the best deed?" He said: "Prolonging the qiyam;
(standing) [in the prayer]." Then it was asked:"What is the best
charity?" He replied: "The sacrifice made by one who has little to
give." Then it was asked: "What is the best migration?" He responded:
"The migration from what Allah has forbidden." Then it was asked:"What
is the best jihad?" He replied: "Whoever strives against the
polytheists with his wealth and soul." They asked: "What is the most
honorable death?" He answered: "He whose blood is spilled and whose
horse is wounded."

EXPLANATION :- ~ Shaykh Muhammad Nasir-ud-Deen al-Albani

Question: Some who are seeking knowledge are very hasty in giving
rulings in matters of halaaland haraam, and this is a common
noticeable defect. What is your advice to such people?
Al-Albaanee's reply: "We have spoken on this issue long before,and we
said that Allaah the Wise has divided the Muslim community into two
types of people: the Ahl adh-Dhikr, and those that depend on the Ahl
adh-Dhikr. As Allaah says to the ordinary people: "then ask those who
possess the Message (Ahl adh-Dhikr) if you do not know." (Soorah 21:7
and 16:43)
The Ahl adh-Dhikr are, as we all know, are the Ahl al-Qur'aan and the
Ahl al-Hadeeth, those who know the authentic from the unauthentic, the
general from the specific, the abrogating from the abrogated, and
other such principles of Fiqh and Hadeeth.
Hence, it is not allowed for a Muslim to begin giving fatwaas on the
basis of some hadeeth, simply because he came across itin some book,
although he does not know if it is saheeh according to the criteria of
the scholars of hadeeth. On the otherhand, he knows that he is not
sufficiently well-versed in knowledge and competence in the Arabic
language to explain the meanings and ideas behind the Kitaab and
Sunnah. Therefore, anyone who has not decided to undertake acquiring
knowledge and persevere in it for many years, until the people of
knowledge testify that he can guide the people and direct themtowads
good, it is not permissible for him to think that he is an alim
(scholar) simply because he has read some ahadeeth and memorized some
aayaat. We often hear of some of them who cannot even read the Qur'aan
properly, nor the ahaadeeth of the Prophet (sallallahu `alaihi wa
sallam). This is why I advise the seekers of knowledge to study two
fundamentals: a) the principles offiqh and b) the principles of
hadeeth.
I have mentioned before that it isnot easy for one to deduce the
intended aim of the Lawgiver from any text unless he consults as far
as possible, all the texts of the Qur'an and Sunnah. I will givea
clear example: Allaah says: "Forbidden for you are dead meat, blood…"
(5:4). If a beginner who is studying the Qur'aan and has no knowledge
of hadeeth is asked regarding dead fish, he will immediately bring
this aayah as proof to clearly forbid it since it prohibits dead meat.
But were he to look into the ahaadeeth, he would know that the
Prophet, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, excepted two types of animals,
fish and locusts,from this prohibition, so he couldrule accordingly.
Briefly, the student must learn these two fundamental branchesof
learning to help to understandthe Qur'aan and Sunnah as correctly as
possible."

HISTORY - ~ The Prophet's Birth

The Year of his Noble Birth:
According to the most correct opinion of the scholars, the Prophet
sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam (SAWS) was born in the city of Makkah in
the year of the Elephant (in theyear 570 or 571CE), in the month of
Rabee'ul-Awwal.
The Day of his Birth:
There is an agreement amongst the Scholars that the Prophet (SAWS) was
born on a Monday, since he(SAWS) was asked about fasting on a Monday,
and he said: "On that day I was born and on that day Revelation
descended uponme." (Related by Muslim and Ahmad)
However, as regards the exact date of his birth, thenthe scholars have
differed about this. Dispite the common belief amongs people that he
(SAWS) was born on the 12th of Rabee'ul-Awwal, yet the only
substantiated fact regarding this date is that it is his (SAWS) death
date .
Imaam an-Nawawee (d.676H) - rahimahullaah- said: "There is on
agreement that he was born on Monday in the month of Rabee'ul-Awwal.
There is a difference of opinion whether this day was the 2nd, 8th,
10th or 12th day of the month - and these are the four most well-known
opinions concerning this." 3
Events at the Time of his Birth:
Certain miraculous events are reported to have occurred at the time
that the Prophet (SAWS) was born. However, most of them are not
authentically related, rather they are da'eef (weak) or mawdoo'
(fabricated) and therefore cannot be relied upon as decisive proof;
such as the narration which relates that some of the galleries of
Kisraa's (the Persian King's) palace broke-up andcollapsed, that the
sacred-fire of the Magians died-out and that some of the churches on
Lake Saawah (in Syria) collapsed and sank down. (Related by
adh-Dhahabee who said: munkar ghareeb (rejected))
However, it is authenticallyrelated that the Prophet (SAWS) said. "I
am a result of the supplication of my father Ibraaheem and the
glad-tidings brought by 'Eesaa 'alayhimus salaam. And my mother - when
shebore me - saw that a light shone out from her, which lit up the
palaces in Syria ..." (Related by al-Haakim and Ibn Katheer said: "Its
isnaad is good and strong.)
Celebrating the Day of hisBirth:
Imaam al-Fakihaani (d.734H) - rahimahullaah -said: "Celebrating his
birthday has no basis in theBook (Qur'an) nor the Sunnah, nor is this
action recorded from any one of the scholars of this Ummah; those who
are taken as examples to be followed and who cling to the narrations.
Rather it is a bid'ah (innovotion), which was introduced by the
Battaaloon (a deviated sect from the Faatimids).
As regards to the origins of this newly-invented celebration, then
some of the research scholars have stated that the first person to
innovate this practice was 'Umar ibn Muhammad al-Mulaa in the city of
Mawsil in Iraaq, during the fourth century, as is mentioned by the
Imaam Abu Shaamah (d.665H).
He was followed in this by the likes of Abul-Khattaab 'Umar ibn
Dihyaa: "who was employed in the west, then travelled to Syria, then
he travelled to the city of Irbil in 'Iraaq, duringthe fourth century,
where he found its king Mudhaffarud-Deen ibn Zaynud-Deen showing a
keen interest in the Milaad (birthday) of the Prophet (SAWS). So he
composed a book for him called at-Tanweer fi Mawlidis-Siraajil-Muneer;
so he recited this to the king who then rewarded him with one thousand
deenaars."
Imaam Maalik (d.179H) - rahimahullaah - said: 'Whosoever introduces
intoIslaam an innovation, and holds it to be something good, has
indeed alleged that Muhammad (SAWS) has betrayed his message. Read the
saying of Allaah - the Most Blessed, the Most High: "This day I have
perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you and I
have chosen for you Islaam as your religion." [Soorah al-Maa'idah
5:3]. So that which was not part of the religion at that time, cannot
be part of the religion today. And the last part of this Ummah cannot
be rectified, except by that which rectified its first part."
Thus, had the practice of celebrating the birthday of the Prophet
(SAWS) been something praiseworthy then: "the Salaf (the Pious
Predecessors) - may Allaah be pleased with them all - would have
instituted it. For they were the ones having a greater love and honour
for Allaah's Messenger (SAWS) and a greater zeal for doing good.
Indeed, the most perfect expression of love and honour for him is by
following him, obeying him, carrying out his commands, upholding and
reviving his Sunnah (guidance and example) - both inwardly and
outwardly - and in spreading his message and striving in this, with
the heart, the hand and the tongue. Such was the path of the
Companions and those who followed them in goodness (i.e. beliefs
andactions)."

HEALTH ~ ADVISE :- ~ Islamic Meditation for Relaxation and Spiritual Comfort

This is a meditation that a Muslim can use to relax and recover from
stress. It is not a substitute for prayer and duaa, or a replacement
for dhikr (remembrance of Allah). Salat in particular is the first
duty and refuge of the Muslim. This is just a simplerelaxation
technique that one might use either alone or share with a spouse, to
relax the body and release some of the worries of the day. It also
functions as an affirmation, reminding the reader of the love and
peace that Allah offers us, and of each person's pure nature.
Settle yourself in a quiet place, in a comfortable position. Imagine
yourself to be in the most relaxing, secure, peaceful place you have
ever known. Breathe deeply in and out, breathing into your stomach.
Recite the following to yourself, with a quiet voice, very slowly, but
imagine it is being spoken to you by a voice outside yourself, by a
voiceof love. If you do this with your spouse, let one read and the
other close his/her eyes and listen:

Your breath is warm and soothing. As it spreads through your body it
makes you warm. It brings peace and tranquility to every cell in your
body.
Let every cell in your body know and feel that you are loved. Allah
lovesyou. Many people love you. You are surrounded by love and caring.
The love is all around you likewarm light, comforting you, taking away
all your pain.
The air that you are breathing in is warm and soothing. That warmth is
spreading all through your body. As it spreads throughyour body, it
causes your muscles to relax.
Now the warmth spreads to your head. Relax the topof your head. Relax
your mind. There is nothing to think about right now, nothing to worry
about. Release the burdens that you carry in your mind.
As you breathe deeply, the warmth spreads to your face. Let your face
relax. Relax your eyes. Whatever your eyes have seen that isunhappy or
that causes you pain, let it go. Release it with your breath.
Relax your cheeks and yourmouth. Whatever you havespoken that you
regret, let it go, release it with your breath. It's in the past and
is gone now with your breath.
Relax your ears. There is nothing for you to listen toright now except
the peacefulness of your own breath. Whatever you haveheard that has
hurt you, at any time in your life, let it go now. You don't need it
anymore. Release it with your breath.
Relax your jaw. Any tension that you are holding in your jaw, let it
go, release it. Feel the warmth spread through your mind, your face,
your neck. Relax your neck.
Know that you are safe. You are protected. You are in a place of
shelter. You are in Allah's care. You are in a safe place, a good
place. You have nothing to fear, nothing to regret. The past is gone,
and the future has not arrived. All that existsis this peaceful
moment, this safe place where youare protected and warm.
Continue to breathe deeplyand softly. Your breath warms you. The
warmth spreads now into your shoulders and relaxes your shoulders.
Whatever burden you have been carrying on your shoulders,let it go.
Give to Allah, and He will hold it for you until you are ready to take
it back. For now, let it go with your breath. Relax your shoulders.
Let go of your fear and your worry. You are following Allah's guidance
and that is peaceful. You are at harmony with the entire universe and
that is peaceful.
Breathe deeply and softly. The breath spreads now into your back and
warms your back. Relax your shoulder blades, and the middle of your
back. Relax your lower back. As you breathe out, release the burdens
that you have borne on your back. All the troubles, all the weight on
your back, release them with your breath, and let them disappear. You
don't need them anymore.
Allah is on your side and He will always be with you. You have the
strength of Imaan. Know that whatever challengesyou face in life, you
are strong and capable.
As you breathe, warmth continues to spread through your body, now
moving into your chest andyour stomach. Relax your chest. Whatever
fears you have for the future, let them go. Release them with your
breath. Trust in Allah; He is with you right now, at this moment, and
He will protect you. Relax your stomach. Whatever tightness you have
in your stomach, whatever tensionyou carry there, release it, let it
go with your breath.
Know that Allah created you pure, with the purity of fitrah. That
purity is always inside you, like a light. Allow yourself to feel it,
to be in touch with it; let that purity come out, and with it comes
peace.
Your breath is warm and soothing. As it spreads through your body it
makes you warm. It brings peace and tranquility to your mind, to your
soul, and to your heart.

HEALTH - ~ Kidney, the amazing organ

Kidney Day is observed all over the world on the second Thursday of
March every year. Incidence of kidney failure cases is increasing day
by day due to a steep increase in the number of diabetes and
hypertensive patients in the recent past. Globally, nearly 50 million
people suffer from renal failure but only 1 million among them undergo
treatment. It has been estimated that 360 million people will die of
renal failure in 2015.
Though there are no accurate statistics on the subject, the available
data shows that 7.58 million people in India are suffering from kidney
failure. Surveys conducted point out that less than 5%of the general
public is aware of the location and functions of the kidney.
It was to create awareness among the people that JoelKopple, the
founder of International Federation ofKidney Foundations (IFKF),
conceived the idea of World Kidney Day (WKD) inthe year 2003. The day
offers a crucial and visible opportunity to educate policymakers as
well as thegeneral public including all those who are at the risk of
kidney disease/failure.
The kidney does a magnificent job in our urological system, thus
becoming a unique organ in the body. Every day, it filters 200 litres
of blood. Itis an amazing organ not only excreting urine from the
blood, but also maintaining the body electrolyte, maintaining blood
pH, synthesises active form of vitD3. It produces Erythroprotien,
which is essential for maturation of the red blood corpuscles and to
maintain the blood pressure.
Then why does the kidney fail? It can fail due to uncontrolled
hypertension,diabetes, failure to take proper treatment for the
nephritic syndrome (excessprotein in the urine), prolonged obstruction
in the urinary tract, frequent use of analgesic (pain-killers)
tablets, use of native medicine made of the metals, and a family
history of renal disease. Some do suffer from kidney failure, without
anyspecific or identifiable cause. Various reports fromSri Lankan
studies reveal that environmental factors like the use of pesticides,
use of medicines containing metals, hydrocarbon, etc., too can cause
kidney failure.
Chronic kidney failure causes severe economic burden to the individual
and his family, and to the nation as a whole on dialysis and renal
transplantation. Such patients undergo a lot of stress and strain for
want of a potential donor for transplant, most often resulting in
depression. With frequent rackets and malpractices involving kidney
donation which have become common, in spite of the strict enforcement
of rules, the motivation of brain-death patients for organ donation is
the only alternative for transplantation.
Prevention is always betterthan cure. In order to prevent kidney
failures, it is essential that everyone knows about the kidney and its
importance. There are eight golden rules which help to avoid
kidneyfailures.
1. Keep fit and active. Maintain ideal body weight.
2. Keep regular control of blood sugar.
3. Monitor your blood pressure.
4. Eat healthy and keep your weight in check.
5. Maintain a healthy fluid intake.
6. Do not smoke.
7. Do not take over-the-counter pills regularly.
8. Check your kidneys function if you have any one or more of the high
risk factors. The theme for the this year's World Kidney Day (March 8)
was: "DONATE — RECEIVE — KIDNEYS FOR LIFE"

ADVISE :- ~ The Later Years of Life

The destructive effects of the passage of years are observable in
one's own body. As the years go by, the body, the most precious
possession a human being has, goes through an irreversible process of
destruction. Thechanges a human being experiences throughout his life
are recounted in the Qur'an as follows:
It is Allah Who created you in a state of (helpless) weakness, then
gave (you) strengthafter weakness, then, after strength, gave (you)
weakness and a hoary head: He creates as He wills, and it is He who
has all knowledge and power. (Surat ar-Rum: 54)
The later years of life are the times most neglected in the future
plans of an adult, except in the anxious process of saving for old-age
pensions. Indeed, being too close to death, people usually develop a
hesitant approach to this period. When someone tries to talk about old
age, others feel concerned and attempt to change this"unpleasant"
topic as soonas possible. The routine of daily life is also a good way
of escaping from the thought of these potentially miserable years of
life. So, it is postponed until the day one inevitably meets it.
Nodoubt, the main reason forsuch avoidance is the assumption that one
has endless time until death comes upon one. This common misconception
is described in the Qur'an:
Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their
fathers until life grew long for them. (Surat al-Anbiya: 44)
This mistaken idea often leads to great grief. That issimply because,
no matter how old one is, the only real possessions remainingfrom
one's past are dimly-recalled memories. One barely remembers
childhood. It is even hard to recall exactly what happened during the
last decade. The greatest ambitions of a young man,important
decisions, and the goals to which he is most committed, all lose their
significance once they are experienced and done. That is why to tell
a"long" life story is a vain endeavour.
Whether a teenager or an adult, this should prompt man to make an
important decision about his life. For instance, if you are forty and
expect to live until your mid-sixties – and of that you have no
guarantee – those remaining twenty-five years will surely pass as
quickly as the preceding forty years. The same holds true even if your
life is prolonged a great deal, since the remaining thirty or forty
years will, likewise, pass before you even notice. This is, surely, a
perpetual reminder of the true nature of this world. One day every
living soul on this earth will leave this world and there is no
return.
Hence, man should set aside his prejudices and bemore realistic about
his life. Time passes very quickly and each day brings on further
physical weakness and more impaired thinking rather than fresher
dynamism and a younger figure. In brief, growing old is a
manifestation of man's inability to control his own body, life and
destiny. Time's adverse effects on the body become visible during this
period. Allah informs us about this in the followingverse:
It is Allah Who creates you and takes your soulsat death; and of you
there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they know
nothing after having known (much): for Allah is All-Knowing,
All-Powerful. (Surat an-Nahl: 70)
In medicine, advanced old age is also called "the second childhood".
Hence, during this latter stage of life, elderly people just
likechildren need care, since their bodily and mental functions go
through certain alterations.
As one grows older, physical and spiritual characteristics pertaining
to childhood become more apparent. Elderly people fail to do many
tasks requiring physical strength. Changes in judgement, impaired
thinking, difficulties in walking, maintaining balance and speech,
impediments, memory impairment and gradual memory loss, and changesin
mood or behaviour are only a few symptoms of diseases commonly seen in
old age.
In short, after a certain period, people often regress to a state of
childish dependency both physically and mentally.
Life both begins and ends in an infant-like state. Thisis evidently
not a random process. It is possible that man could remain young until
he dies. Yet Allah reminds man about the temporary nature of this
world by making the quality of his life deteriorate at certain stages
of life. This process serves as a clear reminder that life is slipping
away. Allah explains this matter in the verse below:
O mankind! If you have doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that
We created you out of dust, then out of a drop, then out of a
leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and
partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (Our power) to you; and
We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term,

QUR'AN AYATH EXPLANATION :- ~ Not forgetting one's own conduct when warning others

An intelligent and experienced person well acquainted with the Qur'an
can detect the minor faults and weaknesses in the faith of people and
advise them.
This is a praiseworthy quality, yet that does not mean he himself is
free of mistakes. On contrary, he must strive to avoid committing the
same errors; otherwise, he may earn Allah's disapproval rather than
reward for his advice.
It is unlikely that someoneable to recognize a fault inothers will
fail to recognize it in his own soul. Undoubtedly, he is also aware of
his own wrongdoings and sins.
For instance, it would be hypocritical for a liar to call people to
truth and sincerity, or for someone who does not pray to call others
to regular prayer. An advisor who fears Allahwould surely be the first
one to avoid committing sins.
In the Qur'an Allah reveals this fact as:
Do you order people to devoutness and forget yourselves, when you
recite the Book? Will younot use your intellect? (Surat al-Baqara; 44)
The conclusion to the verse above, "Will you notuse your intellect?"
makes it clear that people should practice what they preach.
Deviant attitudes such as the desire to control others, have one's
word respected or be influential underlie hypocritical behavior that
lies outside Qur'anic morality.
When someone counsels and advises only to attain status, respect and
esteem, the manipulation of faith-related issues for personal benefit
will only lead to great disappointment in the Hereafter.
When a believer sees another committing an error that he himself is
guilty of, he can let him know that he too is trying to correct that
same mistake. Then the two canencourage one another toward improvement
and by doing so, earn the pleasure of Allah.

QUR'AN AYATH EXPLANATION :- ~ Not losing hope for Allah's mercy

In many verses of the Qur'an, Allah mentions that Muslims—even those
with the most fear of Allah—– may make mistakes. In one verse, Allah
reveals;
Say [from Me]: 'My servants, you who have transgressed against
yourselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Truly Allah
forgivesall wrong actions. He is the Ever-Forgiving, the Most
Merciful.' " (Surat az-Zumar; 53)
It surely brings relief to their hearts, for a believer who errs could
feel great regret, sorrow and guilt.
Allah has made the scope for error so wide in humanbeings that He has
promised to forgive a person's errors without exception, if that
person issorry and repents of what he has done.
But despite of the many consolations in the Qur'an that refresh the
spirit and give hope, many human beings do not admit that they make
mistakes. In spite of the glad tidings announced in the Qur'an, after
making a mistake they become wrapped in despair and become anxious and
downhearted.
An individual who refuses to acknowledge errors he has committed out
of pride and arrogance is greatly saddened by what he has done. He has
trouble accepting that he is a creature prone to making mistakes and
faulty decisions, and whose actions and words may be wrong.
He does not consider that perfection and freedom from error belong
only to Allah. He wants to be perfect himself. But he cannot, and the
fact that some of his attitudes are wrong (despite his desire that
they not be), draws him into despair.
A believer experiences deep peace by accepting his imperfections and
helplessness in relation to Allah and never claims to be free from
error.
It should be remembered that the tendency to err and sin—even though
onemay be a firm believer—makes him more aware of Allah's perfection.
One can conceive of perfection only when he had experienced
imperfection.
Consciousness of his own failures and weaknesses lets him better
appreciate the absolute perfection of Allah.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ According to Quran'smoral values, the importance of allowing others to have the final say

Almighty Allah ordered believers preach their religion to others as
well. Therefore, telling the existence, oneness and greatness of Allah
and inviting them to live by the Quran values, is a great blessing and
a very important worship for Muslims. For this reason, believers
remember Allah, always say the best of the words, preach the message
of Islam, enjoin the good, and forbid the bad. However, they avoid
turning conversations intoa monologue, without allowing anyone else to
speak, as they know this isnot the attitude preached by Quran's moral
values.
Allah states in the following verse that everything everyone says are recorded:
" No indeed! We will write down what he says and prolong the
punishment for him. We will inherit from him the things he is talking
about and he will come to Us all alone." (Surah Maryam, 79-80)
Therefore people are responsible for every idea and thought they have,
everything they do, just like everything they say and they will be
treated accordingly in the hereafter. For this reason the goal of a
person must be avoiding to say a word that could make him ashamed and
repent at the Sight of Allah.
Those who are aware of this important truth revealed by our Lord in
the Quran and who live bythese good moral values, are no doubt the
'believers'. The believers, spend all their lives to gain the pleasure
of Allah. Everything they do, every decision they make, their actions,
behaviors are all intended to please Allah. The same thing goes for
their speeches, conversations and tone. The believers, in pursuit
ofAllah's pleasure, will speakonly if what he is going to say, will
make a positive contribution to the personhe is talking to. They
never seek to draw attention, show off their knowledge when they are
speaking to someone. Sometimes they don't talk at all, and just
listen. And sometimes it might be justa couple of sentences that is
needed to convey his opinion and chooses to benefit from the ideas of
the other person instead. However, some people usea far different
style of speech other than the one based the Quran's moral values.
The mistakes that prevent a conversation from being a wise one
The believers will only speak for Allah's pleasure, and only if that
speech is going to make a positive impact on the person he isspeaking
to. He doesn't seek to be on the forefront. However, many people just
try to be one in the spotlight, making allthe talk, acting with an
attitude of 'I know the best, so I have to talk the most'. Some of
these undesired qualities can be listed as follows: never listening to
anyone, and interrupting others, usually talking with a loudvoice.
This way these people think that they canmake others listen to them
and gain their respect. They never hesitate to shout in attempts to
show how right they are, or to deter, convince or silence others.
However Muslims talk with a reasonable level of voice. Allah shows
the Prophet Luqman (pbuh) asan example to believers. The Prophet
Luqman (pbuh) advises his son as follows:
Be moderate in your tread and lower your voice. The most hateful of
voices is the donkey's bray . (Surah Luqman, 19)
These people don't ever think of listening to othersor benefitting
from their ideas. According to them, turning conversations intoa
one-man conference is an achievement, makes them superior, therefore
they never imagine that it could disturb other people.
According to them, it is not possible for others to have more
knowledge in asubject or put it in a more clever way. This is an
attitude the believers must refrain from strictly. Our Lord states as
follows:
... We raise the rank of anyone We will. Over everyone with knowledge
is a Knower. (Surah Yusuf, 76)
People with the 'I know the best' attitude, usually try to give the
appearanceof being the smartest, wisest and most knowledgeable person
around. They don't need deep knowledge or expertise to act like that,
itcould be something everyone knows, or that they only know of
superficially, or that they heard from others. In every opportunity,
they try to prove their so-calledknowledge and experience to people
around them. Just like it is the case in many other bad habits, the
source of 'I know the best' attitude comes from the inner self, the
enemy of wisdom and common sense.
Listening to a speaking person courteously without interrupting is a
good attitude, which will hopefully be a means for Allah's pleasure.
Such behavior will also be an indication of respect to thespeaker.
However, people away from Quran's moral values, usually don't listen
to others, and even interrupt or talk at the same time.

QUR'AN AYATH EXPLANATION :- ~ The result of unawareness

Despite all of Allah's warnings, unawareness quickly draws those who
persist in it toward a horrible, indescribable, and eternal
punishment. Allah created this world asa place of testing, and those
who leave it without becoming aware will continue their lives
eternally among the people of Hell.
As revealed in the Qur'an, their eyes and ears have been sealed and
their understanding removed. Their understanding and awareness are
like those of animals. And, because they are so by choice, theyare
even lower than animals:
We created many of the jinn and humanity for Hell. They have hearts
with which they do not understand, eyes with which they do not see,
and ears with which they do not hear. Such people are like cattle. No,
they are even furtherastray! They are the unaware. (Surat al-A'raf:
179)
Do you suppose that most of them hear or understand? They are just
like cattle. Indeed, they are even further astray! (Surat al-Furqan:
44 )
Animals have no awareness. Allah comparesunaware people to them,
because their animal-like unawareness has caused their hearts to
harden. Whatever they see and hear, and all of the admonitions and
advice they receive, do not lift them out of that state. As a result,
they do not learn anything from what happens to them.
All people without exception are responsible for understanding and
living according to the truth. But if they persist in their
unawareness, they become less intelligent than other living species
and lose those qualities that make them human. The sense, perception,
andunderstanding that Allah gives to everyone so that they can know of
His existence and serve Him are closed to these people who are
determined to persist in unawareness:
Those are the people whose hearts, hearing, and sight have been sealed
up by Allah. They are the unaware. (Surat an-Nahl: 108)
Such individuals can no longer save themselves from living among the
people of Hell unless they turn towards Him. Their lack of awareness
and confusion will be even greater in Hell:
Those who are blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter and
even further off the Path.(Surat al-Isra': 72)
The harshness of the punishment and its terror are described in verses
as follows:
… the kindled Fire of Allah reaching right into the heart. It is
sealed in above them in towering columns. (Surat al-Humaza: 6-9)
People who live in a state of unawareness, who make no effort to
escape from this state, and who die without being aware of the Qur'an
and His pleasure will be dragged down to Hell.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ People's attitude in the face of trials reveal their devotionto Allah

Every self will taste death. We test you with both good and evil as a
trial. And you will be returned to Us. (Surat al-Anbiya, 35)
As is stated in the verse above the world is a place of trial where
Allah puts people to test with sometimes hardships and, at other
times, with blessings. Those who pass this test are those who remain
loyal to Allah in the face of every incident, display moral perfection
whether Allah give them blessings or limit them, turn to Him at times
of sickness and well-being and give thanks to Him and put their trust
in Him under all circumstances.
People in this world are being tested unceasingly; this way, those who
sincerely believe are distinguished from those who do not believe.
Allah reveals this fact in one verse as follows:
Or did you imagine that you were going to enter the Garden without
Allahknowing those among you who had struggled and knowing the
steadfast? (Surah Al Imran, 142)
No doubt a person's attitude in the face of trials reveals his loyalty
to Allah and whether he has sincere love for Allah. If a person has a
genuine love of Allah and willingly remains resigned to what He
creates for him, he will display the best of attitude towards
everything that comes from Him. A person who displays moral perfection
even in the face of the hardest trials, and shows submission and
perseverance no doubt loves Allah very much and is devoted to Him by
heart. Allah describes the moral perfection of Muslims who prove their
love and devotion to Him by displaying the morality of a believer when
they are attacked by unbelievers and putting their trust in Him at
hard times thus:
Those to whom people said, 'The people have gathered against you,
sofear them.' But that merely increased their faith and they said,
'Allah is enough for us and the Best of Guardians.' (Surah Al Imran,
173)
On the other hand, it is another fact that Muslims grow mature by
means of trials, attain profoundity intheir fear of Allah and get
ready for Paradise. No matter with what kind of hardship they may
encounter, they attain the morality of people in Paradise by
displaying a strong personality, never despairing when faced with
hardship, meeting every test with putting trust in Allah and never
boasting or displaying a spoiled character because they enjoy a lot of
blessings. This beautiful character make them deserve Paradise, a
place of glory and perfection that Allah creates with His infinite
knowledge for His servants.

HADEES - ~

It was narrated that Aisha (radi Allahu anha) said:"When he was ill,
the Messenger of Allah said, 'I would like to have some ofmy
Companions with me.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall we call Abu
Bakr for you?' but he remained silent. We said, 'Shall we call Umar
for you?' But he remained silent. We said, 'Shall we call Uthman for
you?' He said, 'Yes.' So Uthman cameand he spoke to him in private.
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) started to speak to him and
Uthman's expression changed."
Qais said: "Abu Sahlah, the freed slave of Uthman, narrated to me that
on the Day of the House (when the rebels besieged Uthman in his house
and murdered him), Uthman bin Affan said: 'The Messenger of Allah told
me what would come to pass and now I am coming to that day.'"
In Ali's narration of this hadith, Uthman (radi Allahuanhu) said: "And
I am going to bear it with patience." [Ahmad; Tirmidhi; Ibn Majah]
This hadith lays before us the great character of Uthman bin Affan
(radi Allahu anhu). He was a close confidant of the Messenger of Allah
and hadbeen informed of the unfortunate events that would come to
pass. But hedid not give in to the demands of the rebels. He remained
patient and resolute although he knew that his life was at stake. The
Sahabah around him suggested many times thathe take military action
against the rebels but he abstained saying that he did not want blood
spilled in order to protect his own life.
Contrast his stance to that of our rulers today. Nowadays the blood of
Muslims (not hypocrites, as these rebels were) flows freely to protect
not just the life, but the lifestyle of the rulers and elite!

The Virtue of Worship at Night :->

Allah The Exalted said:
*. <<O thou folded In garments! Stand [to prayer] by night lesssome of
it. Half of it, or a little less, or a little more; And recite the
Qur'an in slow, measured rhythmic tones. Soon we shall launch down
unto thee a heavy Statement.Truly the rising by night is a time when
impression is morekeen and speech more upright>> (68) .
*. <<And as for the night keep awake a part of it as an additional
prayer for thee: may thy Lord raise thee to a Praised station>> (69) .

It is reported of the Prophet that he said: "Our Lord descends to the
lowest sky [of the seven] when the last third of the night remains,
then he says: Who is calling upon Me such that I may answer him, who
is asking Me such that I may grant him, who isrequesting My

HISTORY - ~ Location and Nature of Arab Tribes

Beyond a shadow of doubt, the biography of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be
upon him) manifestedly represents an exhaustive embodiment of the
sublime Divine Message that he communicated in order to deliverthe
human race from the swamp of darkness and polytheism to the paradise
of light and monotheism. An image, authenticas well as comprehensive,
of this Message is therefore only attainable through careful study and
profound analysis of both backgrounds and issues of such a biography.
In view of this, a whole chapter is here introducedabout the nature
and development of Arab tribes prior to Islam as well as the
circumstantial environment that enwrapped the Prophet's mission.
LOCATION OF THE ARABS:
Linguistically, the word "Arab" means deserts and waste barren land
well-nigh waterless and treeless. Ever since the dawn of history, the
Arabian Peninsula and its people have been called as such.
The Arabian Peninsula is enclosed in the west by the Red Sea and
Sinai, in the east by the Arabian Gulf, in the south by the Arabian
Sea, which is an extension of the Indian Ocean, and in the north by
old Syria and part of Iraq. The area is estimated between a million
and a million and a quarter square miles.
Thanks to its geographical position, the peninsula has always
maintained great importance.. Considering its internal setting, it is
mostly deserts and sandy places, which has rendered it inaccessible to
foreigners and invaders, and allowed its people complete liberty and
independence through the ages, despite the presence of two
neighbouring great empires.
Its external setting, on the other hand, caused it to be the centre of
the old world and provided it with sea and land links with most
nations at the time. Thanks to this strategic position the Arabian
Peninsula had become the centre for trade, culture, religion and art.
ARAB TRIBES:
Arab kinfolks have been divided according to lineage into three groups:
Perishing Arabs: The ancient Arabs, of whose history little is known,
and of whom were 'Ad, Thamûd, Tasam, Jadis, Emlaq, andothers.
Pure Arabs: Who originated fromthe progeny of Ya'rub bin Yashjub bin
Qahtan. They were also called Qahtanian Arabs.
Arabized Arabs: Who originated from the progeny of Ishmael. They were
also called 'Adnanian Arabs.
The pure Arabs – the people of Qahtan – originally lived in Yemen and
comprised many tribes, two of which were very famous:
1. Himyar: The most famous of whose septs were Zaid Al-Jamhur, Quda'a
and Sakasic.
2. Kahlan: The most famous of whose septs were Hamdan, Anmar, Tai',
Mudhhij, Kinda, Lakhm, Judham, Azd, Aws, Khazraj and the descendants
ofJafna — the kings of old Syria.
Kahlan septs emigrated from Yemen to dwell in the different parts of
the Arabian Peninsula prior to the Great Flood (Sail Al-'Arim of
Ma'rib Dam), due to the failure of trade under the Roman pressure and
domain on both sea and land trade routes following Roman occupation of
Egypt and Syria.
Naturally enough, the competition between Kahlan andHimyar led to the
evacuation of the first and the settlement of thesecond in Yemen.
THE EMIGRATING SEPTS OF KAHLAN CAN BE INTO FOUR GROUPS:
1. Azd: Who, under the leadershipof 'Imran bin 'Amr Muzaiqbâ',
wandered in Yemen, sent pioneers and finally headed northwards.
Details of their emigration can be summed up as follows:
2. Tha'labah bin 'Amr left his tribe Al-Azd for Hijaz and dwelt
between Tha'labiyah and Dhi Qar. When he gained strength, he headed
for Madinah where he stayed. Of his seed are Aws and Khazraj, sons of
Haritha binTha'labah.
Haritha bin 'Amr, known as Khuza'a, wandered with his folks in Hijaz
until they came to Mar Az-Zahran. Later, they conquered the Haram, and
settled in Makkah after having driven away its people, the tribe of
Jurhum.
'Imran bin 'Amr and his folks went to 'Oman where they established the
tribe of Azd whose children inhabited Tihama and were known as
Azd-of-Shanu'a.
Jafna bin 'Amr and his family, headed for Syria where he settled and
initiated the kingdom of Ghassan who was so named after a spring of
water, in Hijaz, where they stopped on their way to Syria.
3. Lakhm and Judham: Of whom was Nasr bin Rabi'a, father of Manadhira,
Kings of Heerah.
4. Banu Tai': Who also emigrated northwards to settle by the so-
called Aja and Salma Mountains which were consequently named as Tai'
Mountains.
5. Kinda: Who dwelt in Bahrain but were expelled to Hadramout and Najd
where they instituted a powerful government but not for long , for the
whole tribe soon faded away.
*. Another tribe of Himyar, knownas Quda'a, also left Yemen and dwelt
in Samawa semi-desert on the borders of Iraq.

STORY - ~ encouraging believers toward what is good

A believer regards himself as having a responsibility, not just to the
people around him, but also to other people in society and all other
communities.That responsibility is instrumental in everyone living in
the awareness of Islamic moral values. People are free to choose the
lifestyle they like but since they are unacquainted with Allah and
Islamic moral values, the majority may choose irreligion. Many of them
may make mistakes or be unable to resolve their problems because they
do not know religious moral values. There may be millions of people
leading unhappy and hopeless lives because they are unfamiliar with
the commandments our Lord has revealed in the Qur'an.The
responsibility toward these masses that Allah places on believers
means they can teach them aboutIslamic moral values and then make
their own choices because since believers are aware of the verses of
the Qur'an, they know how the problems that these people cannot
resolve can be settled. It istherefore a religious obligation for
those who know to tell those who donot. One verse tells us:
" So struggle in the way of Allah – you are only answerable for
yourself –and spur on the believers . It may well be that Allah will
curb the force of the unbelievers. Allah has greater force and greater
power to punish." (Surat an Nisa', 84)
Emphasizing the Importance of Preaching
Being aware of the ways in which people can be rid of their troubles
and yet deciding to keep these ways hidden and not tell anyone about
them is likehaving prior knowledge ofa disaster but not telling
people how to avoid it. If a disaster takes place and people die, then
the person who never mentioned it has a heavy responsibility to bear.
For that reason, believers have a grave and great responsibility to
all mankind. The seriousness of that responsibility is increased by
believers being few in number and unbelievers making up a great part
of the world. It is therefore very important for the fervor
inbelievers' hearts to be kept constantly on the boil, that they
should not be allowed to fall into heedlessness, and that they should
be supported materially and psychologically in all they do. Allah
makes "spurring the believers to fight" obligatory in verse 65 of
Surat al-Anfal:
" O Prophet! Spur on the believers to struggle . If there are twenty
of you who are steadfast, they will overcome two hundred; and if there
area hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of those who are
unbelievers, becausethey are people who do not understand." (Surat
al-Anfal, 65)
Warning Believers with Kind Words and Speaking Effectively So As to
Spur Their Consciences:
It is certain that in discharging their duty to preach the words,
believers can make many errors and exhibit flaws stemming from
ignorance or error. They may say a wrong thing, produce an incorrect
interpretation, ordo something wrong froman intention to do good. In
that event, it is essentialthey be warned and learn the truth
Preaching the moral values of Islam and calling people to faith is a
most important service calling for the greatest care; many people will
decide whether or not to live by the moral values ofIslam on the basis
of the language, attitudes and behavior of the person describing them.
If they love and trust the person describing religious moral values,
then their hearts will begin warming toward the morals of Islam. That
is why preaching religious moral values is the most serious
responsibility in the world.Therefore, believers who act with the aim
of Islamicmoral values becoming known to, and lived by, more people
need to be warned and trained to address people better every day
because such advice can overcome deficiencies in a person's knowledge,
manners, language, vocabulary, gestures, clothing and many other such
matters and we thus obey Allah's command regarding preparing
believers. However, in the Qur'an Allah reveals that as we prepare
believers, we must also encourage and enthuse them. That is whyit is
of the greatest importance for the advice to be given to be
constructive, encouraging and respectful.
Believers Must Be Given Advice without Discouraging, Offending or
Damaging Their Enthusiasm
The person giving advice must be very pure. Advice can only be
expected to benefit the other party if itis offered for Allah's
approval, with affection and compassion and without involving earthly
desires. But criticism givenout of envy, anger and hatred will be
harsh and hurtful. Instead of helping people, it will confuse them and
leave them wondering what to do. It will reduce these people's fervor
for what they are doing, and deprive them of joy or strength.

At least 90 people, including many children, have been killed in
Syria's restive Homs province, opposition activists say, calling it
a"massacre".
They said scores were wounded in the violence inHoula, as government
forces shelled and attackedthe town.
Shocking footage has emerged of the bodies of children killed as part
of one the bloodiest attacks in one area since a nominaltruce began in
April.
The UN said international monitors were heading to the area.
Fighting in Syria has continued despite the deployment of some 250 UN
observers monitoring a cease-fire brokered by UN envoy Kofi Annan - a
ceasefire which the BBC's Jim Muir in neighbouring Lebanon says now
barely exists.
The UN says at least 10,000have been killed since an uprising began in
March 2011 against President Bashar al-Assad's rule.

The "massacre" video which has emerged from Houla bears the sound of a
man screaming:
"These are all children! Watch, you dogs, you Arabs, you animals -
look at these children, watch, just watch!"
On a bedroom floor dozensof little children lie dead, their arms and
legs strewn over one another. Many of their eyes are still open,
bearing a look of shock andfright. They are all covered with blood and
obviously suffered terrible deaths.
A girl, who is perhaps seven years old, wearing a headscarf and pink
diamonte belt, lies face to face in death with a much younger boy.
Another little boy in a yellow jumper lies with his arms stretched
out, almost cradling the head of the girl next to him. Blood covers
both their faces and soaks their hair.
People off camera are shouting: "Oh God, oh God, oh God."
An activist in Houla told theAssociated Press news agency that troops
began the assault on Houla after an anti-regime demonstration
following Muslim prayers on Friday.
The assault began with artillery shelling which killed 12, he said -
but scores more were butchered when pro-regime thugs known as
"shabiha" then stormed the area.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said more than 90
people had died in the 24 hours since midday on Friday.
The opposition Syrian National Council (SNC) said more than 110 people
diedand urged the UN Security Council to act, AFP news agency
reported.
Activists have called a day of mourning.
Horrific video footage has emerged of dozens of deadchildren, covered
in blood, their arms and legs strewn over one another. It is
unverified, but our correspondent says such images would be difficult
to fake.
In one instance, six members of a family were killed when their house
was shelled, the Observatory said.
At least 20 others were killed in violence elsewherein Syria on
Friday, according to activists.
International media cannotreport freely in Syria and it is impossible
to verify reports of violence.

Earlier, a spokesman for UN-Arab League peace envoy Kofi Annan said he
was planning to visit Damascus.
The spokesman declined togive a date, but diplomats in Geneva told AFP
that theformer UN secretary general would make the trip early next
week.
'Evidence of shelling'
Meanwhile, in a letter to the Security Council, UN chief Ban Ki-moon
said the Syrian opposition controlled "significant partsof some
cities".
He said that "established terrorist groups" could have been behind
some of the recent bomb blasts in Syria judging from the
sophistication of the attacks.
He said the situation remained "extremely serious" and urged states
not to arm either side in the conflict.
Earlier this month, a bombing in Damascus left 55 dead in an attack
which the government blamed onal-Qaeda. The attack came amid mounting
fears that the terrorist group was taking advantage of the conflict to
gain a foothold.
Mr Ban said Syria "has not ceased the use of, or pulledback, their
heavy weapons in many areas" - one of therequirements of Mr
Annan'speace plan.
"On several occasions, UNSMIS has heard the sound, or seen evidence,
of shelling in population centres," he said.
On Thursday, a UN-mandated panel said Syrian security forces were to
blame for most abuses in the conflict, which has continued despite the
presence of UN observers, who now total 260.
Mr Annan's six-point peace agreement ordered a cessation of violence
on 12 April. While casualties appeared to fall after the truce, the
fighting quickly resumed to previous levels.

The first encyclopaedia of Buddhist philosophy has been brought out in
Russiawhere Buddhism has seen a revival after the collapse of
Communism.
The encyclopaedia analysesthe philosophical aspects of Buddhism in the
contextof different civilisations, cultures and religions, including
Hinduism, Christianity and Islam.
Releasing the book at a function held at the Institute of Philosophy
of the Russian Academy of Sciences India's Ambassador Ajai Malhotra
said that the philosophy of Lord Buddha was a relevant today as ever
and would continue to inspire future generations across the world.
Dr. Marietta Stepanyants, head of the chair of Easternphilosophies,
who edited the encyclopaedia, thankedthe Indian Embassy for continued
support throughthe funding of the Mahatma Gandhi Chair at the
Institute of Philosophy and the award of scholarships to the best
Russian students of Indian philosophy.
Ambassador Malhotra recalled that the Embassy of India had also
cooperated in the publication in Russian in 2009 of the "Encyclopedia
of Indian Philosophy" and suggested as a next step that the Institute
of Philosophy may like to bring out an Encyclopedia of Jain Philosophy
in the Russian language. He offered the Embassy's help for this
project.
Buddhism has been on the upsurge in Russia in recent years, along with
Christianity and Islam. Dozens of temples have come up in
predominantly Buddhist regions of Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva.
Buddha's birthday has been made a national holiday in Kalmykia this
year and a 15-metre statueof Buddha, the biggest in Russia, is being
set up in Tuva.
