It is stated on the authority of Abdullah bin Masood that the
unbelievers of the Quraish had installed 360 idols in Ka'bah so
strongly that their feet were fixed with lead. When Makkah was
conquered and the Prophet (SAW) entered the Holy Ka'bah, he had a
stick in his hand. With it, he started pointing towards the idols and
reciting this verse: Truth has (now) arrived, and falsehood perished
(Surah Al Isra:81). The idol, to which the Prophet (SAW) pointed on
its front, fell down to its rear side and the idol,to which he pointed

Prophet Ibrahim as a role model
We often see the term"role model" in newspapers and magazines. It
refers to someone who leads the sort of life that you would like to
live. Many of us choose our favorite sports star or film star as our
role model because we are impressed by the glitter and flair of these
wealthy people. However, if we stopped to think about what kind of
lives the starsreally lead, perhaps we would have second thoughts
about our choice of role model. How many of these stars have never
known or have forgotten Allah in their quest for fame and riches! How
often are they consumedby hate, envy, violence, drugs and other
evils! Whoreally wants that kind of life? Certainly not we Muslims.
The Qur'an tells us that theprophets should be our role models, and
Prophet Ibrahim (alayhissalam) in particular is frequently mentioned.
He was obedient to Allah, upright, and he did not worship any godbut
Allah. He turned away from those who worshipped idols, even from his
own father. He was grateful to Allah for the blessings which were
bestowed on him. Hewasrewarded with good in this world and he is
among the righteous in the hereafter.
Prophet Ibrahim's call
Prophet Ibrahim 's (alayhis salam) father, Azer, was a stone carver.
He carved theimages of the idols which his people worshipped. Prophet
Ibrahim (alayhis salam) grew up in an atmosphere of paganism, in which
Allah was just one of many gods worshipped by his people. But Allah
chose Ibrahim (alayhis salam) to be His prophet.Prophet Ibrahim
(alayhis salam) saw a star when it rose and called upon it as his
lord, but when it set he realized that it was powerless. He called
upon the moon when it rose in the sky, but it toodisappeared as
itset. Then he decided toworship the sun when it rose, but even the
sun with all its brilliance had to set each evening. It wasat this
point that Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) was ready to acknowledgethe
supremacy of the Creatorof all the heavenly bodies, the Lord of all
creation, and a being without equal and withoutpartners. He tried
unsuccessfully to persuadehis father and his people to discard the
useless idolsand to submit themselves wholly to Allah. He promised his
father that he would pray for forgiveness for him, and since he had
promised, he did pray. But we are told in the Qur'an that we should
shun pagans and we should not pray for them(Qur'an 9:113-114).
Prophet Ibrahim (alayhissalam) asked his people why they worshipped
those idols which they themselves had made, instead of the true God
who had created everything and everybody.The people answered that they
worshipped the idols because their fathers had done so. One day, when
noone was about, Prophet Ibrahim (alayhissalam) took his right hand
and smashed the idols topieces, all except the biggest. The people
came running, asking who had destroyed theirgods. Prophet Ibrahim
(alayhis salam) pointed to the big god and said,"He did it. Why don't
you ask them?" But of course those fragments of stone were not able to
speak and the people knew in their hearts thatthe big stone could not
have destroyed them. SoProphet Ibrahim (alayhissalam) asked, "Why do
you worship these powerless rocks instead of Allah who is all
powerful?" Then the people were very angry and they seized Prophet
Ibrahim (alayhis salam) and threw him into a blazing fire. But Allah
was with Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) and made the blaze feel cool
to him. Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) emerged from the fire
unharmed.
In Arabia at the time of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),
threereligious groups claimed ancestry to the prophet Ibrahim (alayhis
salam). They were the Christians, the Jews, and the pagan
idol-worshippers. But the religion of Ibrahim (alayhissalam) was none
of these three. His religion was truly that ofIslam , a total
submission to the will of Allah. It is he who shouldserve as our role
model, a man of unswerving faith introubled times.

How will the awaited ottoman model come?

The only solution in these years when mankind stands most in need of
peace, calm and brotherhood is to raise people with proper moral
values, who are just, devout and patriotic. The way to do that is by
elevating national and spiritual values by using modern means and
methods of communication. The current young generation of Turks must
be made aware of their Turkish and Muslimidentity and of their Ottoman
legacy by means of modern meansof mass communications.In order for the
importance of this Muslim Turkish identity to be properly appreciated,
they must be told how people possessing that identity ordered the
world for hundreds of years.
Over the course of history the Turkish Nation founded 16 powerful
states, and with the superior ability it demonstrated in the
administration of those states it constitutes a historic model for all
the nations of the world. The strength of the Muslim Turkish Nation,
and particularly the Seljuk and the Ottoman empires, cannot be
explained in terms of military strength alone. It was a moral
conception based on thevalues of the Qur'an that underlay the force
that governed the world's most complex and sensitive region over
thecenturies.
The main features of thismoral conception revealed by our Lord in the
Qur'an are behaving honestly and generously by avoiding oppression and
injustice, maintaining justice no matter what the circumstances, and
always favoring tolerance and reconciliation. It is because of these
characteristics that the peoples subject to them were always content
with the rule of the Muslim Turks, and even generally entered under
their rule of their own free will. It was thanks to this just rule
under the Ottoman Empire that members of the three Abrahamic faiths
and many sects and millions of people with completely different
languages, cultures and ethnic origins lived together in peace for
hundreds of years in an area including the whole of the Balkans, the
Caucasus and the Middle East.
In our day, however, thesuffering, tears, oppression and war in those
same lands refuse to come to an end. The "Ottoman Territories" made up
of the Balkans, the Middle East and the Caucasus, with Turkey in their
center, are still veryactive and complex in structure. The vacuum that
arose in the region in the wake of the Ottoman Empire has yet to be
filled and no real security has been established. This has attracted
the notice of the Muslim Turkish Nation that applied an exemplary
"co-existence model" in these same lands for hundreds of years under
Ottoman leadership. And this model reveals the fact that it can only
be made a reality today and in the future by the Muslim Turkish
Nation. Indeed, many statesmen, political scientists and
researcher/authors havebeen examining this justsystem of
administrationimplemented with such success by the Turkic states,
especially the Ottoman Empire. The aimbehind this investigationis to
establish a new administrative model based on that applied bythe
Turks.
History shows that permanent peace can bebrought to both the Middle
East and to the Balkans and the Caucasus under Turkish leadership,
that of the heir to the Ottoman legacy. A union established under
Turkey's leadership will both put an end to the conflicts and bring
permanent peace to the region and also raise thestandards of living of
all the peoples there as they become part of a powerful economic
union.
The Turkish Nation possesses a very sound and deep-rooted legacy. The
important thing is toproperly understand that legacy and to turn our
faces to the future while fully adopting our past.
The most powerful model, in military, political and economic terms,
available to the states in the region is one resulting from their
joining forces rather than clashing with one another. A common
foreign policy will make these states a power in world politics. For
that reason, Turkey's mission regarding the future in this new age,
the 21st century, must be one compatible with the greatness and glory
of the Muslim Turkish states. Moreover, as in the past this mission
must be one that will elevate Turkey to the highest peaks and place it
among the world's leading states, the position it deserves. The
solution sought by the Muslim Turkish Nation, which founded the most
powerful civilizations in world history and reigned over the whole of
the Mediterranean and the Middle East, lies in its own history.
The responsibility of the individual members, the children, of a
nation thatfounded glorious states over the centuries and ruled over
three continents, and that has the potential to establisha new world
state in the 21st century is to correctly understand and act on the
material and spiritual values that made the Ottomans what they were.
The Ottoman example shows that the Turkish Nation has the requisite
experience, ability and strength to easily manage a wide expanse of
territory. The important thing is to properly evaluate these values
that were so elevated in the Ottoman Empire and re-interpret them and
apply them to our own age.
As in the past, so today, with its patience, faith and excellent moral
values, the Muslim-Turkish Nation will support the wronged against the
oppressor, and will unite people from different cultures and origins
under the umbrella of justice and tolerance, and will thus establish
the climate of peace and security for which the whole world is
longing.
By the will of Allah, the 21st century will be an age of enlightenment
for all Muslim and Turkish people...
The disorder and confusion in the Middle East in recent years has led
world historians to intensively investigate the Ottoman Empire.
Seven hundred fifty foreign scholars applied to attend the 15th
Turkish History Congress held by the Turkish History Institution (THI)
on 1-15 September, 2006.
THI President Yusuf Halacoglu stated that therecord demand for
attendance stemmed from increasing interest in Turkey and the Ottoman
Empire on the part of historians.
Halacoglu described this interest by saying, "The lands where the
events in the Middle East taking place in Ottoman territories has
encouraged much greater research in theselands on the part of
historians." Prof. Ilber Ortayli, a member of the Preparatory
Committee, stated that previously only Europeans had been interested
in the Ottoman Empire, though now the whole world was interested in
it.
The reason for their success in the Gallipoli Campaign was the
devotion Turkish troops demonstrated to Islamic moral values.
There is no doubt that one of the most important events in Turkish
history is the War of Independence. The religious behavior of the
Turkish Nation played a major role in the winning of that war.Turks,
young and old, displayed enormous self-sacrifice and made amajor
contribution to the preservation of the country. Ataturk saw that it
was its spiritual strength that kept the heroic Turkish Army going
during the Gallipoli Campaign and described the determination of the
troops in these words:
They see the dying, know they will die in three minutes, but display
not the slightest defeatism; there is no wavering! Those who can read
hold the Holy Qur'an and prepare to enter paradise. Those who cannot,
march reciting the Confession of Faith. This is an astonishing and
laudable model that shows the spiritual power in Turkish troops.You
must be sure that it is this loft soul that won the Gallipoli

It was by means of this faith, despite losing tens of thousands of
martyrs, that the Turkish Army was able to fight so heroically at
Gallipoli without the slightest uncertainty or wavering.
The whole world is interested in the Ottoman model
A documentary on the Ottomans produced by the world-famous History
Channel was broadcast in the USA in early 2007. The documentary
provided alengthy description of the reigns of sultans Mehmet the
Conqueror, Selim the Stern and Suleyman the Magnificent.
It emphasized how the Ottoman Empire, described as the protector of
truth and justice, was open to all faiths and beliefs.
It also touched on the Ottoman policy of conquest and described how
this was not based on religious or ethnic principles. It also

Darwinists' latest desperate efforts to keep the Dino-bird deception alive

Darwinists have once again begun raising claims that have already been
answered in order to deny the enormous rout suffered by their
dino-bird claims. They have been in a terrible panic, especially in
recent days when evolution is going through its death throes,and have
set about looking for a series of new methods of deception for the
sake of propping Darwinism up. The latest instance ofthese concern a
dinosaur fossil discovered in China and that has recently been
reported in certain sections of the press. Darwinists are repeatingthe
same hollow myths and reiterating the errorthat the fossil in question
supposedly represents evidence for evolution.
Statements regarding the invalidity of the claim in question are as follows:
The fossil, known as Limusaurus inextricabilis , has short arms and
three-toed claws. Darwinist paleontologists, who maintain that the
fossil also has a small finger protrusion, are trying to herald this
as a fourth finger and, as always, to use this characteristic as a
tool of Darwinist propaganda. They claim that although "for some
reason" this life form HAD NO FEATHERS (which could not possibly have
existed anyway), because of this 1 cm bone in question it constitutes
a potential transition from 5-toed dinosaurs to 3-toed birds.
But this is a classic Darwinist deception.
As we have already made clear in many other instances, Darwinists are
experts when it comes to inventing speculation about different
structures in a fossil. They use an anatomical imperfection, a broken
bone or even a perfect organ in a fossilized life form as propaganda
tools for Darwinist accounts. It will be useful to recall the
Darwinist speculation about the Coelacanth as perhaps the most
striking example of this. All the conjecture about the fossil was
totally demolished as a result ofthe capture of a great many living
Coelacanths .Darwinists chose to retreat into a profound silence in
the face of thishumiliation, as with all Darwinist deceptions that are

Darwinists are now provocatively attempting to use a single bone
protrusion in a dinosaur fossil of which we can never examine living
specimens as a vehicle for Darwinist propaganda. The fact is, however,
that Limusaurus inextricabilis is a flawless terrestrial life form
with a perfect anatomy. It exhibits no transitional form
characteristics. All its limbs and structures are flawless. As we have
many times made clear, if Darwinists want to produce intermediate
fossil evidence, then the life forms they produce must be similar to
these:
As living things turned, according to Darwinism, into ever more
imaginary forms, anatomical abnormalities must havearisen. There must
have been billions of such monstrous life forms, and we should keep
digging up their fossil remains everywhere. Butsince these do not
exist, Darwinists despairingly take a bone in a fossil, reshape it and
call it transitional fossil. Yet the fossils they propose all belong
to perfect, immaculate and flawless life forms.
As we have also clarified before, there is no question of a transition
between terrestrial life forms and birds. The anatomic structures of
terrestrial life forms and birds are completely different and any
change in this perfect anatomical harmony canonly prove fatal. The
claim regarding the origin of birds that Darwinists have been making
for so many years has had new frauds added onto it in the example of
Limusaurus inextricabilis . Darwinists have fantastically attempted to
equate the fossil with a bird, decided that the dinosaur should have
feathers and then resorted to new tactics when no such thing was
encountered in the fossilin question. When no feathers were found,
they had no compunction about using such expressions as "the
dinosaur's body MAY HAVE BEEN covered in feathers." The aim here is to
launch a dinosaur that lived millions of years in the past as a
transitional fossil using speculation and sophistry. (It also needs to
be made clear at this point that the idea of the " feathered dinosaur
" that Darwinists have broughtup so many times beforeis totally
fantastical. It has been shown that thestructures described as
feathers are completely different and that the fossils so heralded are
false .)
The recent discovery of other findings that totally demolish all
claims regarding the passage from dinosaurs to birds, the realization
that dinosaurs had a totally different pelvic bone structure to that
ofbirds, the bone being totally unsuited to flight,and that their
totally different femur bones in particular made any such transition
completely impossible utterly repudiate the Darwinist claim on the
subject. In addition, this has been openly admitted by Darwinist
scientists. This perfectly preserved fossil has been deliberately
brought up in an attempt to neutralize this huge Darwinist collapse
admitted even by Darwinists themselvesand with the aim of making
people to forget this defeat. The fact is, however, that Darwinist
frauds just make Darwinists more ridiculous with every passing day.
But Darwinists have a problem with admitting this fact.
The Limusaurus inextricabilis fraud has taken its place as yet another
embarrassment in the history of Darwinism. Similar Darwinist
falsehoods arestill published in various popular publications by the
Darwinist dictatorship that is unwilling to accept defeat. But through
the works of Harun Yahya the global rout of Darwinism has been made
plain for all to see.Allah created the universe and all the living
things in it within a perfect harmony and brings each one into being
separately. Allah shows, with His glorious works and evidence, that
chance can play no role in the creation of life. Our advice to
Darwinists is that they accept the fact of Creation, which is well
