*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

The Key to Paradise

Imagine: There is a path to Paradise and as we move along the path,
with the very first step we find a huge signboard on which the
following is written:"Hijaab…the key to Paradise." Naturally, in order
to gain entry to Paradise, we have to know themerits and
characteristics of Hijaab (Islamic covering).
Hijaab fosters piety
Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {O children of Adam, We have
bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as
adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that isbest. That is
from the signs of Allaah that perhaps they will remember.} [Quran
7:26]
It means that Allaah The Almighty sent two types of clothing: clothing
that covers your 'Awrah (private parts) and clothing that adorns and
beautifies you. The clothing of righteousness is the best. In other
words, religious prudence and fearing Allaah The Almighty provide the
best clothing that man can adorn himself with. Thatis because inner
purity is better than outer beauty, and the best clothing of man is
obedience to his Lord. There is no good in the one who disobeys Allaah
The Almighty.
Hijaab purifies the heart
Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And when you ask [his wives]
for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for
your hearts and their hearts.} [Quran 33:53] It was narrated on the
authority of 'Aa'ishah that 'Umar ibn Al-Khattaab said, "O Messenger
of Allaah, when righteous and dissolute men [both] may enter upon your
wives, it would be better to orderthem to be veiled." On this
occasion, the verse of Hijaab was revealed, {And when you ask [his
wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer
for your hearts and their hearts.} [Quran 33:53] This verse proves
that Hijaab is a barrier between the desires of the souls and
temptation of the hearts. It cuts the aspirations of those whohave
diseased hearts. So, Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Then do
not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease
should covet.} [Quran 33:32]
Hijaab generates bashfulness
It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet
said: "Bashfulness is part of faith, and faith leads to Paradise."
[At-Tirmithi] [Al-Albaani: Saheeh] There is no doubt that Hijaab makes
the woman realize her value in Islam and encourages her not to do
anything against the obligations of Islamic ethics and appearance.
Therefore, Hijaab leads the woman gradually to developing bashfulness
which itself requires her to wear Hijaab. In this way, every act of
worship leads the Muslim to another one. Our Mother 'Aa'ishah said,
I used to enter the house where the Prophet and my father were buried
putting aside my garment, saying that it is [only] my husband and
father. When 'Umar was buried there, I never entered except wearing
mygarment out of shyness of 'Umar . [Ahmad] [Al-Haakim:
Saheehaccording to the conditions stipulated by Al-Bukhaari and
Muslim]
Hijaab is a call to Sitr (covering and protection)
The Prophet said: "Any woman who takes off her clothesanywhere other
than her husband's house violates the Sitr (concealment and
protection) bestowed on her by Allaah The Almighty." [Ahmad]
[Al-Albaani: Saheeh] The woman who observes her Hijaab has attained
covering from Allaah The Almighty in this life and in the Hereafter
and she will be among the dwellers of Paradise which is the abode of
covering.
Hijaab is a Part of Fitrah
Hijaab and covering are part of the Fitrah (innate disposition) of the
woman. She, by nature, does not like anyone to look at her. Sometimes
a bashful Muslim woman may feel shy of her husband whom Allaah The
Almighty made lawful for her. Man's innate disposition calls himto
cover, whereas an animal's nature tends to nudity.
Hijaab is an act of worship
Hijaab is an act of worship offered to Allaah The Almighty since He is
the One who ordered the woman to wear it. Allaah TheAlmighty Says
(what means): {Andto wrap [a portion of] their head-covers over their
chests.} [Quran 24:31] The Muslim woman, who submits to the commands of
Allaah The Almighty, is the onewhose heart is filled with love
forAllaah The Almighty. The issue of Hijaab is not irrelevant to the
Sharee'ah (Islamic legislation) of Allaah and His laws in the
universe; rather, it is an issue that is firmly connected with the
creed and Sharee'ah at the same time.
Hijaab takes you to a good end
One of the righteous predecessors said, "If you want to know your
position in the sight of Allaah, see where He has placed you." If
Allaah has placed the Muslim woman in obedience and wearing Hijaab,
this would be her ultimate status in His sight. The Prophet said:
"'When Allaah wants to do good for one of his slaves, He utilizes
him." People asked, "How does Allaah utilize him?" He replied: "He
guides him to do a righteous deed before he dies, then takes away his
soul while performing it." [At-Tirmithi] [Al-Albaani: Saheeh] Thus, if
Allaah The Almighty guides you, O pure sister, to wear Hijaab until
the last moment of your life, He would be utilizing you, and you
should prostrate in gratitude to Allaah The Almighty.
Hijaab shields from sins
The Prophet said: "There are two groups of people who will enter Hell
but I have not seen them. One of them is a woman who is dressed but
appears to benaked." [Muslim] A woman who wears Hijaab keeps herself
away from the punishment of Allaah The Almighty.
Hijaab is the symbol of the Muslim woman
As-Suddi reported that dissolute men used to annoy and abuse women
when they went out at night. If they found a woman wearing Hijaab,
they would leave her and say that she is a free woman; if they found
herwithout Hijaab, they would say that she is a bondmaid and would
harm her. On this occasion, Allaah The Almighty Revealed (what means):
{O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the
believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer
garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be
abused. And ever is Allaah Forgiving and Merciful.} [Quran 33:59]
Hijaab is chastity
Allaah The Almighty addressed older women, whom men no longer desire,
Saying (what means): {And women of post-menstrual age who have no
desire for marriage -- there is no blame upon them for putting aside
their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But tomodestly
refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allaah is Hearing and
Knowing.} [Quran 24:60] It means that there is no blame or sin upon
them to put aside some of their clothes, such as the upper garment and
Jilbaab(garment worn over the clothes when going out), and appear
before men with their usual clothes that do not attract attention or
arouse sexual desires. So, the condition is that "{…not displaying
adornment}" for men to look at. After that Allaah The Almighty Says
(what means): {But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for
them}" meaning that covering themselves by wearing the Jilbaab and the
clothes of young women seeking comprehensive covering and chastity
would be better for them, and more honorable and purer in the sight of
Allaah The Almighty.
Hijaab is an address to every believing woman
Allaah The Almighty does not tell anyone to wear Hijaab except every
believing woman who believes in Him and the Last Day. Allaah The
Almighty Says (what means):
پœ {…and women of the believers} [Quran 33:59]
پœ {And tell the believing women…} [Quran 24:31]
This shows that this address is directed to a sincere believing woman
whose heart has been touched by faith and who submits to the command
of Allaah The Almighty.

Is Music Haram?

An article regarding Islamic Nasheed is located at the bottom of this article.
Evidence of prohibition in the Qur'aan and Sunnah:
Allaah says in Soorat Luqmaan (interpretationof the meaning):
"And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing)
to mislead (men) from the path of Allaah..." [Luqmaan 31:6]
The scholar of the ummah, Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him)
said: this means singing. Mujaahid(may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
this means playing the drum (tabl). (Tafseer al-Tabari, 21/40).
Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: this aayah
wasrevealed concerning singing and musical instruments (lit. woodwind
instruments).(Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3/451).
Al-Sa'di (may Allaah havemercy on him) said: this includes all manner
of haraam speech, all idle talk and falsehood, and all nonsense that
encourages kufr and disobedience; the wordsof those who say things to
refute the truth and argue in support of falsehood to defeat the
truth; and backbiting, slander, lies, insults and curses; the singing
and musical instruments of the Shaytaan; and musical instruments which
are of no spiritualor worldly benefit. (Tafseer al-Sa'di, 6/150)
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The interpretation
of the Sahaabah and Taabi'in, that 'idle talk' refers to singing, is
sufficient. Thiswas reported with saheeh isnaads from Ibn 'Abbaas and
Ibn Mas'ood. Abu'l-Sahbaa' said: I asked Ibn Mas'oodabout the aayah
(interpretation of the meaning), '"And of mankind is he who purchases
idle talks' [Luqmaan 31:6]. He said: By Allaah, besides Whomthere is
no other god, this means singing - and he repeated it three times. It
was also reported with a saheeh isnaad from Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be
pleased with them both) that this means singing. There is no
contradictionbetween the interpretation of "idle talk" as meaning
singingand the interpretation of it as meaning stories of the Persians
and their kings, and the kings of the Romans, and so on, such as
al-Nadr ibn al-Haarith used to tell to the people of Makkah to
distract them from the Qur'aan. Both of them are idle talk. Hence Ibn
'Abbaas said: "Idle talk" is falsehood and singing. Some of the
Sahaabah said one and some said the other, and some saidboth. Singing
is worse and more harmful than stories of kings, because it leads to
zinaa and makes hypocrisy grow (in the heart); it is the trap of the
Shaytaan, and it clouds the mind. The way in which it blocks people
from the Qur'aan is worse than the way in which other kinds of false
talk block them, because people are naturally inclined towards it and
tend to want to listen to it. The aayaat condemn replacing the Qur'aan
with idle talk in order to mislead (men) from the path of Allaah
without knowledge and taking itas a joke, because when an aayah of the
Qur'aan is recited to such a person, he turns his backas if he heard
them not, as if there were deafnessin his ear. If he hears anything of
it, he makes fun of it. All of this happens only in the caseof the
people who are most stubbornly kaafirs and if some of it happens to
singers and those who listen to them, they both have a share of this
blame. (Ighaathat al-Lahfaan, 1/258-259).
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"[Allaah said to Iblees:] And befool them gradually those whom you can
among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for
Allaah's disobedience)..." [al-Israa' 17:64]
It was narrated that Mujaahid (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:"And
befool them gradually those whom you can among them with your voice" -
his voice [the voice of Iblees/Shaytaan] is singing and falsehood. Ibn
al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This idaafah
[possessive or genitive construction, i.e., your voice] serves to make
the meaning specific, as with the phrases [translated as] "your
cavalry" and "your infantry" [later in the same aayah]. Everyone who
speaks in any way that is not obedient to Allaah, everyone who blows
into a flute or other woodwind instrument, or who playsany haraam kind
of drum, this is the voice of the Shaytaan. Everyone who walks to
commit some act of disobedience towards Allaah is part of his [the
Shaytaan's] infantry, andanyone who rides to commit sin is part of his
cavalry. This is the view of the Salaf, as Ibn 'Abi Haatim narrated
from Ibn 'Abbaas: his infantry is everyone who walks to disobey
Allaah. (Ighaathat al-Lahfaan).
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Qur'aan)?
And you laugh at it and weep not,
Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)"
[al-Najm 53:59-61]
'Ikrimah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:it was narrated from Ibn
'Abbaas that al-sumood [verbal noun from saamidoon, translated here as
"Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements
(singing)"] means "singing", in the dialect of Himyar; it might be
said "Ismidi lanaa" ['sing for us' - from the same root as
saamidoon/sumood] meaning "ghaniy" [sing]. And he said (may Allaah
have mercy on him): When they [the kuffaar] heard the Qur'aan, they
would sing, then this aayah was revealed.
Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning) "Wasting your (precious) lifetime in
pastime and amusements (singing)" - Sufyaan al-Thawri said, narrating
from his fatherfrom Ibn 'Abbaas: (this means) singing. This is Yemeni
(dialect): ismad lana means ghan lana [sing to us]. This was also the
view of 'Ikrimah. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer).
It was reported from Abu Umaamah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that
the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
said: "Do not sell singing slave women, do not buy them and do not
teach them. There is nothing good in this trade, and their price is
haraam. Concerning such things as this the aayah was revealed
(interpretation of the meaning): 'And of mankind is he who purchases
idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of
Allaah...' [Luqmaan 31:6]." (Hasan hadeeth)
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk,
alcohol and musical instruments..." (Narrated by al-Bukhaarita'leeqan,
no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See
al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This is a saheeh
hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh, where he quoted it as
evidence and stated that it is mu'allaq and majzoom. He said: Chapter
on whatwas narrated concerning those who permit alcohol and call itby
another name.
This hadeeth indicates intwo ways that musical instruments and
enjoyment of listening to music are haraam. The first is the fact that
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "[they]
permit" which clearly indicates that the things mentioned, including
musical instruments, are haraam according to sharee'ah, but those
people will permit them. The second is the fact that musical
instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known
to be haraam, i.e., zinaa and alcohol: if they (musical instruments)
were not haraam, why would they be mentioned alongside these things?
(adapted from al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 1/140-141)
Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) (may Allaah have mercy on him)
said:This hadeeth indicates that ma'aazif are haraam, and ma'aazif
means musical instruments according tothe scholars of (Arabic)
language. This word includes all such instruments. (al-Majmoo',
11/535).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: And concerning the
same topic similar comments were narrated from Sahlibn Sa'd
al-Saa'idi, 'Imraan ibn Husayn, 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Amr, 'Abd-Allaah ibn
'Abbaas, Abu Hurayrah, Abu Umaamah al-Baahili, 'Aa'ishah Umm
al-Mu'mineen, 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib, Anas ibn Maalik, 'Abd al-Rahmaan
ibn Saabit and al-Ghaazi ibn Rabee'ah. Then he mentioned it in
Ighaathat al-Lahfaan, and it indicates that they(musical instruments)
are haraam.
It was narrated that Naafi' (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Ibn
'Umar heard a woodwind instrument, and he put his fingers in his ears
and kept away from that path. He said to me, O Naafi', can you hear
anything? I said, No. So he took his fingers away from his ears and
said: I was withthe Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) and he heard something like this, and he did the same thing.
(Saheeh Abi Dawood). Some insignificant person said that this hadeeth
does not prove that musical instruments are haraam, because if that
were so, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) would have instructed Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah bepleased with
them both)to put his fingers in his ears as well, and Ibn 'Umar would
have instructed Naafi' to do likewise! The response to this is: He was
not listening to it, but he could hear it. There is a difference
between listening and hearing. Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) (may
Allaah have mercy on him) said:Concerning (music) which a person does
notintend to listen to, there is no prohibition or blame, according to
scholarly consensus. Hence blame or praise is connected to listening,
not to hearing. The one who listens to the Qur'aan will be rewarded
for it, whereasthe one who hears it without intending or wanting to
will not be rewarded for that, because actions are judged by
intentions. The same applies to musical instruments which are
forbidden: if aperson hears them without intending to, that does not
matter. (al-Majmoo', 10/78).
Ibn Qudaamah al-Maqdisi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:the
listener is the one who intends to hear, which was not the case with
Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both); what happened in his
case was hearing. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) needed to know when the sound stopped because he had moved away
from that path and blocked his ears. So he did not want to go back to
that path or unblock his ears until the noise had stopped, so when he
allowed Ibn 'Umar to continue hearing it, this was because of
necessity. (al-Mughni, 10/173)
(Even though the hearing referred to in the comments of the twoimaams
is makrooh, it was permitted because of necessity, as we will see
below in the comments of Imaam Maalik (may Allaah have mercy on him).
And Allaah knows best).
The views of the scholars(imaams) of Islam
Al-Qaasim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:Singing is part of
falsehood. Al-Hasan (mayAllaah have mercy on him) said: if there is
music involved in a dinner invitation (waleemah), do not accept the
invitation (al-Jaami by al-Qayrawaani, p. 262-263).
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:The
view of the four Imaams is that all kinds of musical instruments are
haraam. It was reported in Saheeh al-Bukhaari and elsewhere that the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that there
would be among his ummah those who would allow zinaa, silk, alcohol
and musical instruments, and he said that they would be transformed
into monkeys and pigs... None of the followers of the imaams mentioned
any dispute concerning the matter of music. (al-Majmoo', 11/576).
Al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:The four madhhabs are
agreed that all musical instruments are haraam. (al-Saheehah, 1/145).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The madhhab of Abu
Haneefah is the strictest in this regard, and his comments are among
the harshest. His companions clearly stated that it is haraam to
listen to all musical instruments such as the flute and the drum,
eventapping a stick. They stated that it is a sin which implies that a
person is a faasiq (rebellious evil doer) whose testimony should be
rejected. They went further than that and said that listening to music
is fisq (rebellion, evildoing) and enjoying it is kufr (disbelief).
This is their words. They narrated in support of that a hadeeth which
could not be attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him). They said: he should try not to hearit if he passes by
it or it is in his vicinity. Abu Yoosuf said, concerning a house from
which could be heard the sound of musical instruments: Go in without
their permission, because forbidding evil actions isobligatory, and if
it werenot allowed to enter without permission, people could not have
fulfilled the obligatory duty (of enjoining what is good and
forbidding what is evil). (Ighaathat al-Lahfaan, 1/425).
Imaam Maalik (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about playing
the drum or flute, if a person happens to hear the sound and enjoy it
whilst he is walking or sitting. He said: He should get up if he finds
that he enjoys it, unless he is sitting down for a need or is unable
to get up. If he is on the road, he should either go backor move on.
(al-Jaami' byal-Qayrawaani, 262). He (may Allaah have mercy on him)
said: "The only people who do things like that, in our view, are
faasiqs." (Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 14/55).
Ibn 'Abd al-Barr (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Among the types
of earnings which are haraam by scholarly consensus are ribaa, the fee
of a prostitute, anything forbidden, bribes, payment for wailing over
the dead and singing, payments to fortune-tellers and those who claim
to know the unseen and astrologers, payments for playing flutes, and
allkinds of gambling. (al-Kaafi).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said, explaining theview
of Imaam al-Shaafa'i: His companions who know his madhhab (point of
view) stated that it is haraam and denounced those who said that he
permitted it. (Ighaathat al-Lahfaan, 1/425).
The author of Kifaayat al-Akhbaar, who was one of the Shaafa'is,
counted musical instruments such as flutes and others, as being munkar
(evil), andthe one who is present (where they are being played) should
denounce them. (He cannot be excused by the fact that there are bad
scholars, because they are corrupting the sharee'ah, or evil faqeers -
meaning the Sufis, because they call themselves fuqaraa' or faqeers -
because they are ignorant and follow anyone who makes noise; they are
not guided by the light of knowledge; rather they are blown about by
every wind. (Kifaayat al-Akhbaar, 2/128).
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: With regard tothe
view of Imaam Ahmad, his son 'Abd-Allaah said: I asked my father about
singing. He said: Singing makes hypocrisy grow in the heart; I do not
like it. Then he mentioned the words of Maalik: the evildoers
(faasiqs) among us do that. (Ighaathat al-Lahfaan).
Ibn Qudaamah, the researcher of the Hanbali madhhab - (may Allaah have
mercy on him) said: Musical instruments are of three types which are
haraam. These are the strings andall kinds of flute, and thelute, drum
and rabaab (stringed instrument) and so on. Whoever persists in
listening to them, his testimony should be rejected. (al-Mughni,
10/173). Andhe said (may Allaah havemercy on him); If a person is
invited to a gathering in which there is something objectionable, such
as wine and musical instruments, and he is able to denounce it, then
he should attend and speak out against it,because then he will be
combining two obligatory duties. If he isnot able to do that, then he
should not attend. (al-Kaafi, 3/118)
Al-Tabari (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:The scholars of all
regions are agreed that singing is makrooh and should be prevented.
Although Ibraaheem ibn Sa'd and 'Ubayd-Allaah al-'Anbari differed from
the majority, (it should be noted that) the Messenger of Allaah (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Adhere to the majority."
And whoever dies differing from the majority, dies as a jaahili.
(Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 14/56). In earlier generations, the word
"makrooh" was used to mean haraam, then it took on the meaning of
"disliked". But this is to be understood as meaning that it is
forbidden, because he [al-Tabari] said "it should be prevented", and
nothingis to be prevented except that which is haraam; and because in
the two hadeeths quoted, music is denounced in the strongest terms.
Al-Qurtubi (may Allaah have mercy on him) is the one who narrated this
report, then he said: Abu'l-Faraj and al-Qaffaal among our companions
said: the testimony of the singer and the dancer is not to be
accepted. I say: if it is proven that this matter is not permissible,
then accepting payment for itis not permissible either.
Shaykh al-Fawzaan (mayAllaah preserve him) said: What Ibraaheem ibn
Sa'd and 'Ubayd-Allaah al-'Anbari said about singing is not like the
kind of singing that is known nowadays, for they would never have
allowed this kind of singing which is the utmost in immorality and
obscenity. (al-I'laam)
Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: It is not
permissible to make musical instruments. (al-Majmoo', 22/140). And he
said: According to the majority of fuqahaa', it is permissible to
destroy musical instruments, such as the tanboor [a stringed
instrument similar to a mandolin]. This is the view of Maalikand is
the more famous of the two views narrated from Ahmad. (al-Majmoo',
28/113). And he said: ...Ibn al-Mundhir mentioned that the scholars
were agreed that it is not permissible to pay people to sing and
wail... the consensus of all the scholars whose views we have learned
about is that wailing and singing are not allowed. Al-Shu'bi,
al-Nakha'i and Maalik regarded that as makrooh [i.e., haraam]. Abu
Thawr, al-Nu'maan -Abu Haneefah (may Allaah have mercy on him) - and
Ya'qoob and Muhammad, two of the students of Abu Haneefah said: it is
not permissible to pay anything for singing andwailing. This is our
view. And he said: musical instruments are the wine of the soul, and
what it does to the soul is worse than what intoxicating drinks do.
(Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 10/417).
Ibn Abi Shaybah (may Allaah have mercy on him) reported that a man
broke a mandolin belonging to another man, and the latter took his
case to Shurayh. But Shurayh did not award him any compensation -
i.e., he did not make the first man pay the cost of the mandolin,
because itwas haraam and had no value. (al-Musannaf, 5/395).
Al-Baghawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) stated in a fatwa that it is
haraam to sell all kindsof musical instruments such as mandolins,
flutes, etc. Then he said: If the images are erased and the musical
instruments are altered, then it is permissible to sell their parts,
whether they are silver, iron, wood or whatever. (Sharh al-Sunnah,
8/28)
An appropriate exception
The exception to the above is the daff - without any rings (i.e., a
hand-drum which looks like a tambourine, but without any rattles) -
when used by women on Eids and at weddings. This is indicated by saheeh
reports. Shaykh al-Islam (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:But the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made allowances
for certain types of musical instruments at weddingsand the like, and
he made allowances for women to play the daff at weddings and on other
joyful occasions. But the men at his time did not play the daff or
clap with their hands. It was narrated in al-Saheeh that he
said:"Clapping is for women and tasbeeh (saying Subhaan Allaah) is for
men." And he cursed women who imitate men and men who imitate women.
Because singing and playing the daff are things that women do, the
Salaf used to call any man who did that a mukhannath (effeminate man),
and they used to call male singers effeminate - and how many of them
thereare nowadays! It is well known that the Salaf said this.
In a similar vein is the hadeeth of 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased
with her), when her father (may Allaah be pleased with him) entered
upon her at the time of Eid, and there were two young girls with her
who were singing the verses that the Ansaar had said on the day of
Bu'aath - and any sensible person will know what people say about war.
Abu Bakr (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "Musical instruments
of the Shaytaan in the house ofthe Messenger of Allaah (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him)!" The Messenger of Allaah had turned
away from them and was facing thewall - hence some scholars said that
Abu Bakr (may Allaah be pleased with him) wouldnot tell anybody off in
front of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him), but he thought that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) wasnot paying attention to what was
happening. And Allaah knows best. He (the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him)) said:"Leave them alone, O Abu Bakr, for every
nation has its Eid, and this is our Eid, the people of Islam." This
hadeeth shows that it was not the habit of the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his companions to gather tolisten
to singing, hence Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq called it "the musical
instruments of the Shaytaan". And the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) approved of this appellation and did not deny it
when he said, "Leave them alone, for every nation has its Eid and this
is our Eid." This indicates that the reason why this was permitted was
because it was the time of Eid, and the prohibition remained in effect
at times other than Eid, apart from the exceptions made for weddings
in other ahaadeeth. Shaykh al-Albaani explained thisin his valuable
book Tahreem Aalaat al-Tarab (the Prohibition of Musical Instruments).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) approved of
young girls singing at Eid, as stated in the hadeeth: "So that the
mushrikeen will know that in our religion thereis room for
relaxation." There is no indication in the hadeeth about the two young
girls that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was
listening to them. The commands and prohibitions have todo with
listening, not merely hearing, just as in the case of seeing, therules
have to do with intentionally looking and not what happens by
accident. So it is clear that this is for women only. Imaam Abu 'Ubayd
(may Allaah have mercy on him) defined the daffas "that which is
played by women." (Ghareeb al-Hadeeth, 3/64).
An inappropriate exception
Some of them make an exception for drums at times of war, and
consequentially some modern scholars have said that military music is
allowed. But there is no basis for this at all, for a number of
reasons, the first of which is that this is making an exception with no
clear evidence, apart from mere opinion and thinking that it is good,
and this is wrong. The second reason is that what the Muslims shoulddo
at times of war is to turn their hearts towards their Lord. Allaah
says (interpretation of the meaning):
"They ask you (O Muhammad) about the spoils of war. Say: 'The spoils
are for Allaah and the Messenger.' So fear Allaah and adjust all
matters of difference among you..." [al-Anfaal 8:1]. But using music
is the opposite of this idea of taqwa and it would distract them from
remembering their Lord.Thirdly, using music is one of the customs of
the kuffaar, and it is not permitted to imitate them, especially with
regard to something that Allaah has forbidden to us in general, such
as music. (al-Saheehah, 1/145)
"No people go astray after having been guided except they developed
arguments amongst themselves." (Saheeh)
Some of them used the hadeeth about the Abyssinians playing in the
mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as
evidence that singing is allowed! Al-Bukhaari included thishadeeth in
his Saheeh under the heading Baab al-Hiraab wa'l-Daraq Yawm al-'Eid
(Chapter onSpears and Shields on the Day of Eid). Al-Nawawi (may
Allaah have mercy on him) said:This indicates that it is permissible
to play with weapons and the like in the mosque, and he applied that
to other activities connected withjihaad. (Sharh Muslim). But as
al-Haafiz ibn Hajar(may Allaah have mercy on him) said: whoever speaks
about something which is not his profession will come up with weird
ideas such asthese.
Some of them use as evidence the hadeeth about the singing of the two
young girls, which we have discussed above, but we will quotewhat Ibn
al-Qayyim (mayAllaah have mercy on him) said, because it is valuable:
I am amazed that you quote as evidence for allowing listening to
sophisticated songs the report which we mentioned about how two young
girls who were below the age of puberty sang to a young woman on the
day of Eidsome verses of Arab poetry about bravery in war and other
noble characteristics. How can you compare this to that? What is
strange is that this hadeeth is one of the strongest proofs against
them. The greatest speaker of the truth [Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq] called
them musical instruments of the Shaytaan, and the Messenger of Allaah
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) approved of that
appellation, but he made an exception in the case of these two young
girls who had notyet reached the age of responsibility and the words
of whose songs could not corrupt anyone who listened to them. Can this
be used asevidence to allow what you do and what you know of listening
(to music) which includes (bad) things which are not hidden?! Subhaan
Allaah! How people can be led astray! (Madaarij al-Saalikeen, 1/493).

Jumu’ah prayer - collecting donations during the Jumu’ah khutbah

What is the ruling on collecting donations during the second Jumu'ah
khutbah, when the khateeb calls for that? What is the ruling on doing
that at the time of the du'aa' in the second khutbah? Is Jumu'ah
prayer invalidated by giving donations during the khutbah? Is the
Jumu'ah prayer of those who go among the rows to collect donations
invalidated?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
Those who attend Fridayprayers should focus fully on the khutbah. It
isnot permissible to be distracted from it, whether by returning a
greeting or denouncing one who talks during the khutbah.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him)
said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: "Whoever does wudoo' and does wudoo' well, then comesto
Jumu'ah and listens attentively, will be forgiven (his sins) between
that and (the next) Jumu'ah, and threedays in addition to that, but
whoever touches thepebbles has engaged in an idle action." Narratedby
Muslim (875).
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
The words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),
"but whoever touches the pebbles has engaged in an idle action" show
that touching the pebbles and other kinds of fidgeting during the
khutbah are forbidden. This indicates that the heart should be focused
fully on the khutbah. What is meant by idle action is false and
blameworthy things. Endquote.
Sharh Muslim (6/147)
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:
It is not permissible to fidget during the khutbah with one's hand,
foot, beard, garment or anything else, because the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "but whoever touches the
pebbles has engaged in an idle action." According to another hadeeth:
"Whoever engages in idle actions or steps over the people's necks, it
is Zuhr prayer for him." Becausefidgeting prevents khushoo' (proper
focus and humility). Similarly, it is not appropriate for him to turn
to his right or left, or be distracted by looking at the people, and so
on, because that distracts him from listening to the khutbah.Rather he
should face towards the khateeb as the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased
with them) used to face towards the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) during the khutbah. End quote.
Al-Mulakhkhas al-Fiqhi (1/176).
Collecting donations from the people who areattending the Jumu'ah
khutbah distracts them greatly from the khutbah. It causes movement on
the part ofthe one collecting the donations and the people who are
giving them, and it involves thecollector stepping over the necks of
people. All of that is forbidden and goes against the purpose of
Jumu'ah and the khutbah. This is not necessary, because donations can
be delayed until after the prayer has ended. The one who does that is
deprived of the reward of Jumu'ah and it is merely Zuhr for him.
It was narrated from 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Aas (may Allaah be
pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: "Whoever does ghusl on Friday and puts on some of his
wife's perfume, if she has any, and puts on his best clothes then does
not step over the people's necks and does not engage in idle actions
during the exhortation, that will be an expiation for whatever comes
between them (two Fridays). But the one who engages in idle actions
and steps over the people's necks, it willbe Zuhr for him." Narrated
by Abu Dawood (347); classed ashasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh
al-Targheeb (721). i.e., it will be like Zuhr in reward, and because
of his idle actions and stepping over people's necks, he will be
deprived of the great reward which is attained by the one whoprays
Jumu'ah. 'Awn al-Ma'bood.
Shaykh al-Fawzaan (mayAllaah preserve him) said:
It is not permissible for the one who is listening to the khutbah to
give charity to a beggar during the khutbah, because the beggar has
done something that it isnot permissible for him to do, so he should
not help him in doing something that is not permissible, which is
speaking during the khutbah. End quote.
Al-Mulakhkhas al-Fiqhi (1/175).
Secondly:
The prohibition on speaking or playing withthe pebbles etc applies
equally both at the beginning of the khutbah and during the du'aa'.
What some of thefuqaha' said about it being permissible to speak
during the du'aa' is a weak view.
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Some of the fuqaha' (may Allaah have mercy on them) said that whenthe
imam starts to say du'aa' during the khutbah, it is permissibleto
speak, because the du'aa' is not one of the pillars (essential parts)
ofthe khutbah, and speaking during something that is not one of the
pillars of the khutbah is permissible. But this is a weak view,
because so long as the du'aa' is connected to the khutbah it is part
of it. It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) used to pray for forgiveness for the believers every
Friday during the khutbah.
The correct view is that so long as the imam is speaking, whether it
is the essential parts of thekhutbah or what comes after it, speaking
is haraam. End quote.
Al-Sharh al-Mumti' (5/110).
And Allaah knows best.

Jumu’ah prayer - Are those who are appointed to guard important places excused for not praying Jumu’ah?

I am a man working in the military. I am often asked by soldiers and
others who are appointed to guard places (which may be sensitive) and
they may be rebuked or disciplined if they abandon their posts. Are
they excused from attending Jumu'ah and can they pray Zuhr instead?
What is the ruling if the mosque is close to them?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The one who is appointed to guard some important places isexcused for
staying away from Jumu'ah, even if the mosque is close by, and he may
pray Zuhr instead, but inthis case the smallest number of guards that
will suffice should be appointed, because Jumu'ah is very important
and it is not permissible to neglect it.
The Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas, under the leadership of
Shaykh 'Abd al-'Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was
asked about telegraph and telephone facilities which are in constant
use throughout the week, including Friday, and there are employeeswho
supervise the phone systems and wireless systems and their work does
not allow them to leave, even for a minute, because that may cause a
breakdown in the wireless and telephone systems. Can these employees
leave their work and go to pray?
They replied:
The basic principle is that Jumu'ah is obligatory for all individuals,
because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the
Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu'ah prayer), come to the remembrance of
Allaah [Jumu'ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and
leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if
you did but know!"
[al-Jumu'ah 63:9]
And Ahmad and Muslim narrated from Ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased
with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
said concerning some peoplewho stayed away from Jumu'ah prayer: "I was
thinking of telling a manto lead the people in prayer, then I would
burn down the houses of men who stayed awayfrom Jumu'ah."
And Muslim narrated from Abu Hurayrah and Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah
bepleased with them) that they heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say from his minbar:
"Peopleshould stop staying away from prayers in congregation or else
Allaah will put a seal on their hearts, then they will be among the
heedless."
And the scholars are unanimously agreed on that. But if there is a
legitimate shar'i excuse for one who is obliged to pray Jumu'ah, such
as if he is directly responsible for work that has to do with national
security or protecting national interests, which requireshim to do
that work at the time of Jumu'ah prayer, such as those who are in
charge of security, traffic, and wireless and telephone
communications, etc, who are in charge at thetime of the second call
toJumu'ah prayer or whenthe iqaamah is given for prayer in
congregation, then they and others likethem are excused for notpraying
Jumu'ah or offering prayers in congregation, because Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
"So keep your duty to Allaah and fear Him as much as you can"
[al-Taghaabun 64:16].
And the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: "Whatever I forbid to you, avoid it, and whatever I enjoin
upon you, do as much of it as you can."
And it is no less an excuse than that of the one who is excused
because he fears for himself or his property, etc., who the scholars
said is excused for not attending Jumu'ah or prayers in
congregation,so long as the excuse is there. But that does not mean
that the obligationto pray Zuhr is waived, rather he must pray Zuhron
time, and if he is ableto offer it in congregation then he must do so,
as with the other five daily obligatory prayers. End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (8/188).
They were also asked about the owner of a gas station that is
approximately two kilometres away from the city. Is it permissible for
him to appoint someone to guard the gas station at the time ofJumu'ah
prayer to protect it against arson and theft, and is Jumu'ah prayer
waived for the guard and can hepray Zuhr instead – knowing that the
gas station has been set on fire and the store robbed before that? The
owner of the gas station lives there with his children and family, and
the guard also lives there with his children and womenfolk.
They replied: If the situation is as described, it is permissible for
the guard to pray Zuhr instead of Jumu'ah, so that he may guard the
people and property mentioned, because of the general meaning of the
evidence which indicates that one may be excused from prayingJumu'ah
in such cases. End quote.
Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (8/192).
And Allaah knows best.

The children of your father through breastfeeding from his second wife who did notbreastfeed you are siblings to you

I was breastfed by a woman, then her husband married a second wife,
who produced children. Are they siblings to me?.
Praise be to Allaah.
If the breastfeeding consisted of five or morefeedings and the milk
was attributed to the husband because she (the woman who breastfed
you) had had a child from him, then they are regarded as siblings to
you through your father and mother through breastfeeding. As for his
children from his second wife, they aresiblings to you through your
father through breastfeeding.
What is meant by breastfeeding is when the child latches onto the
nipple and suckles milk until it reaches his stomach, then he let go
of the nipples for any reason, then he latches on again and suckles
thenipple until the milk reaches his stomach, then he stops
breastfeeding, then he breastfeeds again and soon, until he has
breastfed five or more times, whether that was in one sitting or more,
and whether that occurred on one day or more, on condition that that
took place when the child was still in the first two years of life,
because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
"There is no breastfeeding (the makes a child a mahram)except in the
first two years." And he (blessingsand peace of Allah be upon him)
said to Sahlahbint Suhayl: "Breastfeed Saalim five times and he will
become your mahram."
And it is proven in Saheeh Muslim and Jaami' at-Tirmidhi that
'Aa'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Among the things that
were revealed of the Qur'aan was that ten definite breastfeedings make
the child a mahram, then that was abrogated and replaced with five
definite breastfeedings, and the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him) passed away when this was the case. This
version was narrated by at-Tirmidhi.
May Allah help us all to do that which pleases Him. End quote.

Advice to a believing girl whose family do not let her pray or wear hijab

I am a 16 year old muslim girl, from a "non-practising muslim family".
I am the only one in the family who prays and try to follow Islam as
good as I can. My family is against me praying and being a practising
muslim. My mother dosnt want me to pray Isha and fajr prayer because
it is too late/early. But I do it anyways, and I try to hide it as
good as I can. And when she asks me if I pray those prayers I always
lie about it and say I don't, is it okay to lie in such a situation?
Also I have quitted my job, I used to work at a pizza place and I sold
pork pizza to the customers, my mother dosn't know about this yet, and
I have considered to lie, and say I got fired. Is it permissible for
me to lie in such a situation?
And I have another issue:We are going to anothercountry in next month,
and I'll miss zuhr and asr prayer, I am not allowed to pray at all in
the train while we're travelling. And when we arrive to our
destination I am afraid that I'll not be allowed to pray Isha andfajr
prayer there... I don't know what to do, and I have read that you can
pray two prayers together, but I don't know how? Should zuhr and asr
prayer be prayed together like, you pray zuhr at the time of zuhr and
right after that you pray asr? Or in some other way?
And if I miss more than one prayer, in what orders should they be made
up? And I am also not allowed to wear the hijab, but I try my best
todress modestly.. Now that it's summer my mother wants me to wear
t-shirts & shorts. But I refuse totally to wear shorts, but sometimes
I do wear t-shirts outside, she complains alot about my skin, because
I'm pale, and she thinks the sun is healthy for me. But I hate to
disobey Allah, and wear t-shirts, but I just get very upset whenshe
yells at me and says she worries about me etc. I get really sad
because I want to see her happy too.. But I don't want to sin either.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
We were very happy to receive this message andwe praise Allah, may He
be exalted, for having enabled you to be keen to follow your religion,
adhere to the commandsof your Lord and be patient in putting up with
the harm you encounter because of that. Allah, may He be exalted,
commanded His slaves to be patient and persevere, and to be steadfast
in obeying Him, no matter what harm they face. Allah, may He be
exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and
guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the
places from wherethe enemy can attack you, and fear Allah, so that you
may be successful"
[Aal 'Imraan 3:200]
"As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide
them to Our Paths (i.e. Allahs Religion - Islamic Monotheism). And
verily,Allah is with the Muhsinoon (good doers)"
[al-'Ankaboot 29:69].
You should understand that whatever you face of difficulty and harm
for the sake of doing what Allah has enjoined upon you of acts of
worship, obligatory duties and wearing hijab, all of that is for the
sake of Allah, and your putting up with that harm and these problems
is the best kindof patience that Allah has enjoined upon His slaves:
patience in obeying Allah and patience in putting up with the harm
that one may encounter for the sake of his religion and his adherence
to it. Allah, may He be exalted, has told us that His Messengers
announced to their people that they would remain steadfast on the path
of their Lordto which He had guided them, no matter what befell them
of harm from their people:
"And why should we not put our trust in Allah while He indeed has
guided us our ways. And we shall certainly bear with patience all the
hurt you may cause us, and in Allah (Alone) let those who trust, put
their trust"
[Ibraaheem 14:12].
In the hadeeth, it is narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace
of Allah be upon him) said: "Ahead of you there are days of patience
when patience will be like grasping live coals, and the one who does
good deeds will have the reward of fifty men who do deeds like his."
Someone else added: He said: O Messenger of Allaah, the reward of
fifty of them? He said: "The reward of fifty of you."
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4343; classed asqawiy by al-Albaani.
Think about this living example of one of those who came before, their
keenness to obey the Lord of the Worlds and how they put up with
hardships and horror in order to achieve that.
It was narrated that Khabbaab ibn al-Aratt said: "We complained to the
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when
he was reclining on his cloak in the shadeof the Ka'bah. And we said:
Why don't you ask Allah to make us prevail? Why don't you make du'aa'
for us? He (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Among
the people who came before you, a man would be taken and put into a
hole dug for him in the earth, then a saw would be brought and put on
his head and he would be cut into two pieces, and that did still not
turn him away from his religion. And an iron comb would be used to
tear the flesh from his bones or sinews, but thisstill did not turn
him away from his religion." Narrated by al-Bukhaari,3612
With regard to your mother, hers is a very strange case that is very
sad. Instead of the mother adhering to her religion and being an
example for her daughter and teaching her, she has become as you
describe. Verily to Allah we belong and verily to Him we shall return.
We ask Allah to guide her to His religion, open her heart to it and
protect you against her evil.
And beware of letting your mother and her stubbornness prevent you
from following the religion of Allah, may He be exalted, or divert you
from His path. Her anger with you for obeying your Lord does not
matter, because obedience to Allah takes precedence over obedience to
anyone else. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
said: "There is no obedience to anyone if it involves sin; rather
obedience is only in that which is right and proper." Narrated by
al-Bukhaari,7257; Muslim, 1840. And he (blessings and peace of Allah
be upon him) said: "There is no obedience to any created being if it
involves disobedience towards Allah, may He beglorified and exalted."
Narrated by Ahmad, 1098
Thirdly:
If you are not able to offer the prayers or follow any other commands
of your Lord or keep away from anything that Allah has forbidden
except by telling lies to your mother, there is no blame on you, in
sha Allah, for telling her lies, although it is better for you to
employ double entendres in your speech, i.e., tell her things that
will make herfeel comfortable and spare you from her harm, whilst you
intend a correct meaning without drawing her attention to it. For
example, if she asks you, "Did you pray?" you can say, "No," but what
you intend in your heart is that you did not pray Taraweeh, for
example, or qiyaam al-layl, or you did not pray anything except the
fard (obligatory) prayer, and so on.
With regard to wearing hijab, try to convince herthat this is the
commandof your Lord and that it is also your choice, and strive hard
to avoid her evil and harm as much asyou can. Seek the help ofyour
Lord and ask Him toguide her and keep you safe from her evil.
Thirdly:
The traveller may avail himself of the concessions of travelling, which
include offering the four-rak'ah prayers (Zuhr, 'Asr and 'Isha') with
two rak'ahs only. This will make it easier for you to pray when you
are with your mother, because the time needed to pray tworak'ahs is
shorter than the time needed to pray four.
Another concession granted to the traveller is that he may put two
prayers together, so he may pray Zuhr and 'Asr together at the same
time, praying Zuhr with two rak'ahs, then praying 'Asr with two
rak'ahs. That may be done at the time of the earlier prayer, i.e.,
offering the two prayersat the time of Zuhr, before the usual time
for'Asr begins, or it may be done at the time of the later prayer, so
if the time for Zuhr has begun and he did not pray, he may wait until
the time for 'Asr begins, then offer the two prayers together.
Similarly, Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers may be offered at the time of
the earlier or later prayer, but it should be noted that Maghrib
cannot be shortened when travelling; rather it should be offered
withthree rak'ahs as usual.
With regard to Fajr, it should be offered with two rak'ahs at the
proper time, when dawnhas broken, until the sunrises.
This putting together of prayers will be helpful for you, because you
canchoose the time when your mother is not paying any attention to
you, or she is busy with something, or you can give her the impression
that you have gone to the bathroom, and the like, or you can pray when
you stop for a break, far away from her, or after you reach your
destination, if you are going to arrive before the time for the second
prayer ends, and so on.

Finally, we advise you to remain steadfast in your obedience to your
Lord, and be keen to please Him; always remember your Lord and read
His Book, so that your mind and heart will be at rest and you will
increase in guidance. Strive hard to learn the rulings of your
religion and adhere to them as much as you can, until Allah grants you
relief and a way out from the situation you are in.
And Allah knows best.

The Power of Prostration

The following story was mentioned by brother Firoz who is originally
from Guyana and now living in Scarborough, Canada. Brother Firoz lived
in the USA before moving to Canada. He can easily be identified as a
Muslim as he wears a Muslim hat and has white beard. In USA, one day
he was going to the market to buy some things when he was approached
by a white American man who asked him whether he knew of any Halal
Muslim restaurant. Brother Firoz knew of one but was unable to give
him the proper direction. He figured that the American was a new
Muslim in this area. So, brother Firoz invited him to his house to
have some food. There were also some other Muslim brothers living with
Firoz at that time. When they reached home, everyone in the house
welcomed the special guest. They were also curious to know about the
reason why he accepted Islam.
The new brother told them that he was taking a world religions course
in the University. His teacher happened to be Jewish. When they came
to the topic about Islam, the Jewish teacher at one point started
showing the class how Muslims pray. "The moment I saw the teacher
doing prostration (sajdah), I knew that I belonged to this religion,"
said the new brother. This is what led him to Islam, a simple
demonstration of sajdah.
Just one act of Islam was enough to make this individual a Muslim.
Imagine, how many people will be convincedwhen all the Muslims start
practising Islam completely!

Anything for Allah

Khabaab (Radiallaho Anho) is one of those fortunate persons who
offered themselves for sacrifice and suffering for the cause of Allah
(Subhanahu wa Taala). He was the sixth or seventh person to embrace
Islam and therefore, he suffered long. He was made to put on steel
armor and lie in the sun to sweat. Very often he was made to lie flat
on burning sand, which caused the flesh on his back to dissolve. He
was the slave of a woman. When she came to know that he was visiting
Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam), she used to brand his head
with a hot iron rod. Umar (Radiallaho Anho) during his Caliph once
asked him about the details of his suffering after embracing Islam.
He showed him his back, seeing which Umar (Radiallaho Anho) said,"I
have never seen such a back before."
He said, "My body was dragged over heaps of burning coal and the blood
and fat coming out of my back put out the fire."
When Islam spread and the Muslims conquered all the surrounding
territory, he used to weep and say, "Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) seems
to be compensating us in this world for all our sufferings and perhaps
nothing would be left for us as reward in the Akhirah".

Zakariyya Kandhalvi.
Such were the followers of the Prophet (peace beupon him) who were
ready to give anything but their faith in Allah. On the other hand, we
Muslims today are ready to sell our iman for little material gains!

Beauty All Around Us

Some times I drive from Fresno, in the geographical center of
California, across the western side of the San Joaquin Valley and up
into the mountains, to Casa de Fruta. It is such beautiful country,
SubhanAllah. The San Joaquin Valley is a part ofCalifornia's great
Central Valley, a vast agricultural breadbasket that runs 450 miles
(720 km) from north to south.
Right now in March, the fields are on fire with orange poppies and
yellow mustard flowers. The almond trees have been blossoming for a
month, and the white petals fall to the ground like rain. On my way
home, I sometimes pull over and park under the almond trees. I have a
snack, listen to the radio, then get out and practicemartial arts
moves beneath the trees. When the irrigation pumps are running I use
the water to wash my face or perform wudu'.
The grapes are just coming up – the slender stems are like the idea of
a grape vine. Corn, cottonand lettuce are newly planted, and birds
with long white necks flock to the fields. The fields are full of huge
herds of white sheep and black cows, and our unique local cows with a
large white stripe down the middle.
The green grass sweeps up into the mountains, where it becomes forest
and finally snow.
The years-long drought isover. The San Luis Reservoir is setting a
newhigh water mark. It is normally full of islands, but now they have
all disappeared as the wateris a solid sheet of deep blue from one
side to theother, with fingers of water stretching into surrounding
valleys. I've never seen it so high. TheEastside Bypass, which is a
flood control channel and is normally dry as dust, is running with
water.
The San Joaquin River is running to the Pacific Ocean for the first
time indecades. In coming years the Chinook salmon may return to the
river, Insha'Allah. This is a type of fish that swims upriverfrom the
sea. There has not been a Chinook run on the San Joaquin River since
the 1940′s.
The skies in this part of the Valley are huge, with vast expanses of
clouds sweeping the sky like ships. Late in the day, thesky is a giant
palette of blue, yellow, orange and red.
The world is amazing. Never think that beauty is gone from the world.
Open your eyes and look at the majesty around you. All this was not
created in vain. It is a miracle, a blessing, and a sign pointing to
the Most Merciful God.
SubhanAllah, glory to Allah The Provider, The Creator, The One.

Muslims, Christians and Jews believe in the same Allah

The three revealed faithssent down as a blessing by our Lord through
trueprophets and true scriptures, Islam and the uncorrupted, genuine
forms of Christianity and Judaism, share many common beliefs. Although
the Torah and the Injil were gradually corrupted over the course of
time, the essence and moral values of the true faith are still to a
large extent preserved in these bookssent down from the Presence of
Allah. These uncorrupted parts can clearly be seen when looked at
using the Qur'an and the hadith asa guide. These three revealed faiths
all believe in the absolute existence of Allah, that He is eternal,
that He created the universe from nothing and that He rules all matter
with His almighty power. Muslims, Christians and Jews also oppose the
same intellectual errors. They share the same intellectual struggle
against atheism, irreligion, racism, fascism and moral degeneration.
All three faiths strive to preach the existence of Allah in the same
way. Members of all three faiths aim fora world full of justice in
which everyone will know Allah, sincerely believe in and submit to
Him, and live in peace and compassion. Members of all three faiths act
out of a fear and love of Allah, follow in the path of His messengers
and abide by His revelation.
In essence, the members of these three faiths believe in and worship
the same, one Allah. Our Almighty Lord has revealed His power and
might, His creative artistry, His sublimity, that He is the Lord of
theworlds, that He is All-Powerful and the soleCreator of all things
in allthree faiths. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and
all things belong to Him, He knowsall, is Almighty and is thePossessor
of all. His might, sublime power and majesty pervade all things and
all places. He is unfettered by any flawor deficiency, though He is
needed by all beings.
Our Almighty Lord revealed His faith with the religion of the Prophet
Abraham (peacebe upon him):
We revealed to you: "Follow the religion of Abraham, a man of pure
natural belief. He was not one of the idolaters." (Surat an-Nahl, 123)
The word "haneef" means "someone who believes in and serves only
Allah." This is the attribute of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) that is
emphasized in the Qur'an as being "haneef," for he believed in and
submitted to Allah as theone and only. This devout servant of Allah
distanced himself from his tribe's superstitious beliefs and turned
solely to Him. He also called on his tribe to abandon their pagan
beliefs and idolatry, and to believe in Allah.
The true religion revealed by Allah to the Prophet Abraham (pbuh)was
kept alive by other prophets from his line and by true believers. This
is revealed in the Qur'an as follows:
Who would deliberately renounce the religion of Abraham except someone
who reveals himself to be a fool? We chose him in the world and in the
Hereafter he will be one of the righteous. When his Lordsaid to him,
"Become a Muslim!" he said, "I am a Muslim who has submitted to the
Lord of all the worlds." Abrahamdirected his sons to this, as did
Jacob: "My sons! Allah has chosen this religion for you, so do not die
except as Muslims." Or were you present when death came to Jacob and
he said to his sons, "What will you worship when I have gone?" They
said, " We will worship your God, the God of your forefathers,
Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac – one God. We are Muslims submitted to Him.
" (Surat al-Baqara, 130-133)
The Prophet Abraham's (pbuh) "haneef" religionis common to Muslims,
Jews and Christians. He was a sincere prophet who believed in one
Godalone, Allah, who praised Him, and who served Him genuinely and
with all his heart. Our Lord praises those who follow the pure faith
of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) in the Qur'an:
Who could have a betterreligion than someone who submits himself
completely to Allah and is a good-doer, and follows the religion of
Abraham, a man of pure natural belief? Allah tookAbraham as an
intimate friend. (Surat an-Nisa', 125)
The pure faith of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh), whom Allah praised and
sent as a guide for mankind, and the belief in the one Allah that
forms the basisof that faith are commonvalues shared by true faiths
that were sent down later—Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Therefore,
the members of all three faiths have a responsibility to worshipAllah,
the one Lord of all,He Whose All-Powerful might pervades all things
and all places, theCreator of all things.
This common value requires the members ofall three revealed faiths to
come together in a single monotheistic belief and to act together for
a common purpose. People with true faith, who abide by the religion of
the Prophet Abraham (pbuh)and believe in the one Allah must combine
theirstrengths, grow deeper in faith and grow even stronger in unity
in order to wage an intellectual struggle against the atheist,
Darwinist system that is trying to rule the world. Rather than waging
an artificial struggle againstone another, they must be aware of the
real danger, that is the atheistic, Darwinist system of the antichrist
(dajjal), and must not ignore those forces that are striving to set
believers against one another. They must act together to spread
beliefin Allah across the world and must preach the religion of the
Prophet Abraham (pbuh) together. By Allah's leave, that will lead to
the greatest force that will totally eradicate the system of the
antichrist that now rules the worldand will cause atheism to collapse
entirely.
Almighty Allah will bestow a great reward from His Presence on those
who genuinely strive in His name, who unite and praise monotheistic
belief and who combine forces in order for belief in Allah to rule the
world. And Hewill make His religion rule the world. By His leave, that
powerful dominion will definitely come about in the time of the coming
of the Prophet Jesus and HazratMahdi (peace be upon them). That time
is now imminent. The coming ofHazrat Mahdi (pbuh), as revealed in
hadith by our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and in
the statements by religious scholars, has already happened. Hazrat
Mahdi (pbuh) is currently unrecognized, but he is among us. As for the
second coming of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), according to the
information in the hadith, the indications in the verses of the Qur'an
and statements by Islamic scholars, this will take place in the next
10 to 20 years. This will be the Golden Age, when the system of the
antichrist is completely defeated and when well-being, peace,
security, brotherhood, wealth and friendship rule the world entirely.
In that time, belief in Allah will rule the world and people will live
by the "haneef" faith of theProphet Abraham (pbuh)in all its majesty
and beauty. All believers have a duty to prepare for this age, when
Muslims, Jews and Christians will live together as brothers under the
leadership of the Prophet Jesus and Hazrat Mahdi (peace be upon them).
For that reason, all believers in the world must seek to praise the
name of Allah together, in feelings of love and brotherhood, and
establish a fine and powerful union against irreligion.
Belief in the One Allah Was Gradually Misinterpreted in Christianity
ACCORDING TO THE TRUE INTERPRETATION OF THE INJIL, belief in Allah in
Christianity is the same as that in Islam and Judaism. However,
certain passages in the Injil have been interpreted differently from
their genuine meanings, and certain descriptions and ideas stemming
from a failure to properly appreciate the might of our Lord have
entered Christian belief. That false belief isthe error of the
trinity.
The error of the trinity adopts a false view of our Almighty Lord and
is a totally mistaken and corrupt belief that ascribes divine status
(surely Allah is beyond that) to the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), whom Allah
sent to mankind as a prophet. Despite its many internal contradictions
and anti-monotheistic nature, it assumed a veryimportant place in
Christian belief. So much so that someone who does not believe in the
error of the trinity, therefore who does not believe that the Prophet
Jesus (pbuh) is the son ofAllah (surely Allah is beyond that) is not
regarded as a true Christian by those who espouse trinitarian belief.
Although the trinity is a false belief in total opposition to the
monotheistic belief, the true one in the Presence of Allah, and
preached by the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), and EVEN CONTRADICTS VARIOUS
PASSAGES IN THE INJIL, it gradually came to be an obsession that
Christians must never deny. Historyshows that those people and
communities who rejected this erroneous belief and maintained that the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) was merely a human being and a prophet of Allah
have been dealt with harshly. The evidence that such people produced
from the Injil and the life of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)was always
ignored, andpeople were forbidden to discuss such matters. For that
reason alone, the proponents of monotheistic belief werebranded
"infidels," "heretics," or "enemies of the faith" by the Christians in
question, and those who supported them elicited the same reactions.
Some were exiled for that very reason, and others were hanged or burnt
alive by the Inquisition's courts within the history. Through this
repression, BASED NOT ON THE INJIL BUT ON MISINTERPRETATIONS, the
artificial belief in the trinity came to reign supreme through force
and imposition and became a component of Christianity. Many sincere
Christians, unaware of this policy ofimposition, are still blindly
devoted to belief in the trinity, imagining that they are abiding by
the Injil. They are unaware of their error. They do not know this
belief is a total contradiction of the belief in Allah revealed in the
Qur'an, Torah and the Injil. This is a most grave error.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of this subject is that TRINITARIAN
BELIEF DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE BIBLE ITSELF. It appears neitherin the
Old Testament, theholy book of the Jews, nor in the Injil, the
Christian holy text. Rather, it is based on misinterpretations of a
few Injil passages, and the word itself was only used for the first
time byTheophilus of Antioch at the end of the second century.
Acceptance of the belief took place much later. Therefore, NO BELIEF
THAT IS NOT PRESENT IN THE INJIL, ANDWHICH WAS THUS UNKNOWN TO THE
EARLY CHRISTIANS, CAN REPRESENT THE BASIS OF CHRISTIANITY. This is a
grave error that came about after the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and under
the influence of the established Greek culture.
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is completely unfettered by this false belief
artificially developed in Christianity. Like all the prophets, the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is a servant created by Allah. He is a sincere
and noble prophet who worships Allah with all his heart and seeks to
earn His approval. He is a chosen, honored messenger of high esteem
(Surah Al 'Imran, 45). Allah reveals the following about the Prophet
Jesus (pbuh):
The Messiah would never disdain to be a servant to Allah nor would the
angels near toHim . If any do disdain toworship Him, and grow
arrogant, He will in any case gather them all to Him. (Surat an-Nisa',
172)
As revealed in the verse, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)is a very genuine
humanbeing eager to discharge the duty of being a servant to Allah and
who has completely submitted to Him. All the statements made about his
supposed claim to divinity are all nonsense produced subsequently. Our
Lord has absolute sovereignty over all beings. APART FROM OUR LORD
HIMSELF, EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDS HIM IN ORDER TO EXIST AND SURVIVE. The
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) of course appreciated this reality and spent his
life striving with all his heartto be the servant of Almighty Allah.
In the verses of the Qur'an, Allah reveals thatthere is no other Deity
but Him using very wise clarifications:
Everyone in the heavens and the earth belongs toHim. Those in His
Presence do not consider themselves too great to worship Him and do
not grow tired ofit. They glorify Him by night and day, without ever
flagging. Or have they taken deities out of the earth who can bring
the dead to life? If there had been any deities besides Allah in
heaven or earth, they would both be ruined. Glory be to Allah, Lord of
the Throne, beyond what they describe! He will not be questioned
aboutwhat He does, but they will be questioned. Or have they taken
other deities besides Him? Say:"Produce your proof! This is the
message of those with me and the message of those before me." But most
of them do not know the truth, so they turn away. (Suratal-Anbiya',
19-24)
It Is Stated in the Injil that Allah Is One
While the error of the trinity ascribes divine status (surely Allah
is beyond that) to the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), the oneness of Allah and
His infinite dominion over all things is set out in great detail in
the Injil. People are called tomonotheistic faith in both the message
of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) to his people and followers, and in the
words of his disciples. In the Injil, THE PROPHET JESUS (pbuh)
constantly makes it clear that EVERYTHING HE DOES IS THE RESULT OF
ALLAH'S INFINITE POWER AND MIGHT, THAT IT IS ALLAH WHO CAUSES HIM TO
SAY EVERYTHING HE SAYS, AND THAT HE PERFORMS THESE MIRACLES ONLY
BECAUSE ALLAH WILLS THEM TO OCCUR. He also invites those who elevate
him to elevate Allah instead, remember His infinite might, and submit
to Him.
Such statements by the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) calling people to belief
in the one Allah are still to be found in the otherwise corrupted
Gospels of the New Testament. For instance, according to the Gospel of
Saint Mark, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) gave the following reply to a Jew
who asked him which commandment was the most important:
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "isthis: ' Hear, O Israel,
the Lord our God, the Lord isone . Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all
your strength."(Mark 12:29-30)
The following passage again from the Gospel ofSaint Mark shows that
far from ascribing divinestatus to himself, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
even prevented himself being praised:
As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his
kneesbefore him. "Good teacher," he asked,"what must I do to inherit
eternal life?""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is
good—exceptGod alone." (Mark 10:17-18)
By refusing praise and emphasizing that only Allah is worthy of it,
the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) makes it clear he is just aservant of Allah.
Those who set up other deities together with Allah are called on to
accept monotheism in many passages of the Injil. Some of these read as
follows:
… answered Jesus, "the Lord our God, the Lord isone" … "Well said,
teacher," the man replied. "You are right insaying that God is One and
there is no other butHim ." (Mark 12: 29-32)
… God is one . (Galatians 3:20)
And exchanged the gloryof the immortal God for images made to look
like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.T hey exchanged the
truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather
than the Creator —Who is forever praised. ... (Romans 1:23-25)
… for us there is but One God, from Whom all things came and for Whom
we live ... (1 Corinthians 8:6)
We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is
no God but One. (1 Corinthians 8:4)
And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before
God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: " We give thanks
to You, Lord God Almighty, the One Who isand Who was, …" (Revelation
11:16-17)
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor
and glory for ever and ever .... (1 Timothy, 1/17)
For there is one God … (1Timothy 2:5)
You believe that there is One God. Good! … (James2:19)
… to the only God our Savior be glory ... (Jude:24)
How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no
effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God ? (John 5:44)
For nothing is impossiblewith God . (Luke 1:37)
It is also described in theInjil how the followers of the Prophet
Jesus (pbuh) went from town to town and from villageto village,
preaching the word and calling on people to be Christians believing in
Allah, the one and only:
But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heardof this, they tore their
clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: "Men, why are you
doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you
good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to ... God,
Who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them… He has shown
kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He
provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.
"(Acts 14:14-17)
"The God Who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven
and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not
served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself
gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man He
made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth;
and He determined the times setfor them and the exact places where
they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him … though He
is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have
our being…" (Acts 17:24-28)
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) always praised the glory of Allah and said
that all power belongs to Allah, in such passages as, "I do
exactlywhat God has commanded me," (John 14:31); "The words I say to
you are not just my own," (John 14:10) and "Itell you the truth, the
apostle can do nothing by himself" (John 5:19).
Some passages from the Injil that refer to the infinite might and
power of Allah are as follows:
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the
glory forever! ... (Romans 11:36)
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is
forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered
…. (Luke 12:6-7)
Jesus looked at them and said: "With man this is impossible, but with
God all things are possible. "(Matthew 19:26)
… Who is God over all, forever praised! (Romans9:5)
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! (Romans 11:33)
Fear [and respect] God and give Him glory, because the hour of His
judgment has come. Worship Him Who made the heavens and earth, the sea
and the springs of water. (Revelation 14:7)
Great and marvellous areYour deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true
are Your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear [and respect] You,
O Lord, and bring glory to Your name? For You alone are holy. All
nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts
havebeen revealed. (Revelation 15:3-4)
Everything comes from God. (1 Corinthians 11:12).
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are
His judgments… For our Lord God Almighty reigns. (Revelation 19:1-6)
There is no authority except that which God has established. The
authorities that exist have been established by God. (Romans 13:1)
…"As surely as I live," saysthe Lord, "every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God." (Romans14:11)
… God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of
lords, Who alone is immortal and Who lives in unapproachable light,
Whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and might forever. (1
Timothy 6:15-16)
It is revealed in the Qur'an that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) sought
shelter in Allah from the claims of divinity that some people
heretically made regarding him andCALLED ON PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN THE
ONE AND ONLY ALLAH:
And when Allah says, ''Jesus son of Mary! Did you say to people, "Take
me and my mother as deities besides Allah?" hewill say, "Glory be to
You! It is not for me to say what I have no right to say! If I had
said it, then You would have known it. You know what is in my self but
I do not know what is in Your Self . You are the Knower of all unseen
things. I said to them nothing but what You ordered me to say: '
Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. ' I was a witness against them
as long as I remained among them, but when You took me back to You,
You were the One watching over them. Youare Witness of all things. If
You punish them, they are Your servants. If you forgive them, You are
the Almighty, the All-Wise." (Surat al-Ma'ida: 116-118)
... Tribe of Israel, worship Allah, your Lord and my Lord... (Surat
al-Ma'ida, 72)
The Injil clearly contains a great many true passages that praise our
Almighty Lord as the oneand only and that perfectly express His might
and sublimity. Thecorrupt belief in the trinity, which was addedon to
Christianity subsequently, was developed many years after the Injil
had been sent down and consists of an utterly false misconception.
The essential point is of course this: even if someone who can
properly appreciate the sublimity and greatness of Allah has no
knowledge of the history of Christianity, his own conscience should
still make him strongly doubt the idea of trinity. That is becausethis
false belief fails to properly appreciate the might of Allah, and is
an expression of a failure torecognize Allah and His sublimity. It is
revealed in the Qur'an, sent downconfirming the Injil and the Torah,
that this erroneous belief spread among Christians is actually
"polytheism" and sincere Christians are warned on the subject.
They say, "Allah has a son." Glory be to Him! No, everything in the
heavens and earth belongs to Him . Everything is obedient toHim, the
Originator of the heavens and earth. When He decides on something, He
just says to it, "Be!" and it is. (Surat al-Baqara, 116-117)
They say, "The All-Merciful has a son." They have devised a monstrous
thing. The heavens are all but rent apart and the earth split open and
the mountainsbrought crashing down, at their ascription of a son to
the All-Merciful. It is not fitting for the All-Merciful to have a
son. There is no one in the heavens and earth who will not come to
theAll-Merciful as a servant . He has counted them and numbered them
precisely. Each of them will come to Him on the Day of Rising all
alone. (Surah Maryam, 88-95)
Allah Is Praised As the One and Only God in the Torah
The Judaism described inthe Torah sent down to the Prophet Moses
(pbuh) is a monotheistic faith, just like Islam. TrueJews praise our
Lord as the one and only God, genuinely believe that Allah is the Lord
of all, that there is no other Creator but Him and thatall beings are
in need of Him.
Almighty Allah is praised in the Old Testament andreverenced as the
sole Possessor of power, strength and sublimity, the one and only God.
Christians, who believe in the Old Testament as well as the New
Testament must not ignore this fact:
The Lord is God; besides Him there is no other … Acknowledge and take
to heart this day that theLord is God in heaven above and on Earth
below. There is no other.(Deuteronomy 4:35-39)
… Before Me no God was formed, nor will there be one after Me. I, even
I, am the Lord, and apartfrom Me there is no savior... (Isaiah,
43:10-11)
For this is what the Lord says—He Who created the heavens, He is God;
He Who fashioned and made the earth, He founded it; He did not create
it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited—He says: "I am the Lord,
and there isno other." (Isaiah 45:18)
And there is no God apart from Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there
is none but Me. (Isaiah 45:21)
... The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
… I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me
. (Isaiah 46:9)
So that all the peoples ofthe earth may know thatthe Lord is God and
that there is no other. (1 Kings, 8:60)
This is what the Lord says: " … Surely God is with you, and there is
noother; there is no other God. "(Isaiah 45:14)
The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
... O Lord; no deeds can compare with Yours. All the nations You have
made will come and worship before You, O Lord; they will bring glory
to Your name. For You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are
God. (Psalms 86:8-10)
O Lord Almighty ... You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the
earth. You have made heaven and earth. (Isaiah 37:16)
… so that all kingdoms on earth may know that You alone, O Lord, are
God. (Isaiah 37:20)
This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, Who formed you in the womb:
I am the Lord, Who has made all things,Who alone stretched outthe
heavens, Who spread out the earth by Myself . (Isaiah, 44:24)
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has
seen any God besides You, who acts onbehalf of those who wait for him.
(Isaiah 64:4)
… Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no God apart from Me, a
righteous God and a Savior; there is none but Me . (Isaiah 45:21)
"See now that I myself am He! There is no God besides Me. I put to
death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal …
(Deuteronomy 32:39)
"… so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God." (Exodus 8:10)
O Lord ... there is no God like You in heaven aboveor on earth below
…. (1 Kings 8:23; 2 Chronicles 6:14)
Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, "Lord, there is no one
like You to help the powerless against the mighty…" (2 Chronicles
14:11)

True Believers in the OneAllah Must Unite in Order to Spread the Glory
of Our Almighty Lord
Muslims, Christians and Jews are all believing descendants of the
Prophet Abraham (pbuh)and they all believe in the same Allah, strive
to spread the Sublime Gloryof our Lord and eliminate irreligion
fromthe world. At this time when atheism, degeneration, Darwinism,
anarchy, oppression and war are so widespread, it is a great blessing
and support from Allah that there are believers who believe in the one
and only Allah and who eagerly strive to praise Him by adhering to the
"haneef" faith of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh). At this blessed time,
that of the coming of the Prophet Jesus and Hazrat Mahdi (peace be
upon them), we must actbefitting this blessing bestowed on us by our
Almighty Lord and establish an intellectual union to praise His name.
If true believers fall for the traps set by masonic Evangelicals or
masonic Muslims and fallout with one another, if they strive against
one another rather than against atheists and Darwinists, that could
mean their failing to properly appreciate this blessing from Allah.
Our Lord tells all believers to be united, and any efforts to disunite
believers may hinder Allah's bounty. Instead ofbestowing blessings
andvictory, Allah may hold blessings back from believers because of
this attitude. We must act in the knowledge of this and praise His
faith with all our hearts. The most essential condition for this is
not to be deceivedby the snares of the masons, to find the truthby the
use of conscience, reason and faith and to act accordingly.
Almighty Allah is the Lord of all beings, and absolute power and
victory belong to Him alone. Every effort to praise His name is an act
of worship the believers need to draw closer to Him and gain Paradise.
Itis certain that Allah has the power to cause His religion to prevail
without the need for any natural causes.
