Read this

He asked: Why is it difficult at times to become a practicing Muslim?
I said•► Islam is total SUBMISSION to Allah. However, we don'twant
this as we want to have it our way. Islam is like a frame and our life
is like a picture. The proper SUBMISSION would be to put the frame
over the picture and CUT all the edges that are out of the frame!!
People instead stretch the frame even if they have to break it so that
it would fit their life, desires and whims. This is NOT true
SUBMISSION. This is not Islam.

keepthis in your mind that AllahAlmighty is well knowing of what you
keep in your heart, don't count the blessing of Allah Almighty as you
can't even count thebreath you have taken and step you have taken,
just thank and praise him with true heart and intention, Tears are
another form of expressing your love for Allah Almighty and even them
eyes which cries because of fear of Allah Almighty is saved from the
fire of hell. You are blessed at every step if you look at the
surrounding around you, you will find what youhave others might not
have, so be thankful don't be thankless...!
