*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Soul Purification, - Signs of Heart Disease

- - -

There are numerous signs of a sickness of the heart. The first of them, is finding it difficult to live by the purpose of our creation, which is to know Allaah The Almighty, love Him, yearn to meet Him, turn to Him in repentance and to prefer doing all this to any other desire. Indeed, whoever gives precedence to his or her whims, over the love of, and obedience to, his or her Lord, then his or her heart is certainly diseased.
Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}Have you seen the one who takes as god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?{]Quran 25: 43[. Some of the righteous predecessors said that this verse refers to the person who is led by his or her base wants and whims; hence, he or she lives like an animal, with no knowledge or worship of Allaah The Almighty, in violation of His orders and prohibitions. Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}but those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as grazing livestock eat, and the Fire will be a residence for them.{]Quran 47:12[
Let us not forget that as we sow, so shall we reap. Therefore, if a person not only does not live life according to what pleases Allaah The Almighty, but instead actively pursues a lifestyle of disobedience to Him through His very blessings, he or she will neither find comfort nor be relieved of pain, after death, in the Hereafter. Allaah The Almighty, Says )what means(:}He will gulp it but will hardly ]be able to[ swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.{]Quran 14:17[
Another sign of a diseased heart is that a person is not disturbed by insubordination to Allaah The Almighty. A poet spoke of how a dead person does not feel the pain of any wound; using that analogy, conversely, a sound heart feels great pain when a sin is committed, and, so, is quick to repent to Allaah The Almighty, as He Says )what means(:
·}Indeed, those who fear Allaah - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember ]Him[ and at once they have insight.{]Quran 7:201[
·}And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves ]by transgression[, remember Allaah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allaah? - and ]who[ do not persist in what they have done while they know.{]Quran 3:135[
The meaning of“remember ]Allaah[”in both verses, refers to the act of bearing in mind His magnificence, His threats and His punishments, and so, they seek His forgiveness. On the other hand, the one who has a diseased heart will keep on committing sin upon sin.
In another place in the Quran, Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.{Commenting on this verse, Al-Hasan, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said that this means committing one sin after the other, to the extent that the heart becomes blind. In contrast, a person with a sound heart will follow an evil deed with a good one and make sure to repent after a wrongdoing.
A diseased heart, moreover, manifests itself when a person does not feel any pain of being unaware of the truth, whereas, someone with an upright mind could not tolerate that when coming across any confusing matters, or having false beliefs. Verily, ignorance is a serious calamity that pains anyone with a sound heart.
Some scholars would say:“Allaah was never disobeyed with anything worse than ignorance.”Also, Imaam Sahl, may Allaah have mercy upon him, was asked: “O father of Muhammad! What is worse than ignorance?” He replied:“To be oblivious of one’s obliviousness.”Indeed, such a state entirely hinders the path to knowledge, for a person is unaware of his or her need for it. It was once said that ignorance before one’s death is death itself; the bodies of the ignorant are like graves for the soul and they will have no resurrection until the Day of Resurrection.
Another sign of having a diseased heart is deviating from what is useful to what is harmful. Many people, for instance, refrain from listening to the Quran, about which Allaah The Almighty Said )what means(:}And We Send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.{]Quran 17:82[. Instead, they listen to songs that instill hypocrisy, and perhaps disbelief, in their hearts and stir their base desires. Such people sin, by preferring what Allaah and His Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, hate. And that, in itself, is a consequence of having a diseased heart and only increases it in sickness.
On the other hand, the more the heart is sound, the more it loves what Allaah The Almighty and His Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, do, as He Says )what means(:}but Allaah Has endeared to you the faith and Has Made it pleasing in your hearts and Has Made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the ]rightly[ guided.{]Quran 49:7[ The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“He would taste the sweetness of faith, who is content with Allaah as ]his[ Lord, with Islam as ]his[ religion and with Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, as ]his[ Prophet.”]Muslim[ He,sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also said:“No man from among you will have ]perfect[ faith, until he loves me more than his own self, children, family and all mankind.”]Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
The last symptom of an ill heart is that a person settles in this worldly life, satisfied with it and is at peace in it, feeling no sense of alienation, such that he or she no longer looks forward to the Hereafter or works for it. Conversely, when a heart becomes sound, it yearns for the Hereafter, to the extent that it perceives the sickness of others, while they do not see its soundness. The state of a person with such a heart, in life, bears the spirit of the Hadeeth in which the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“Be in this life as if you were a stranger or a traveler.”]Al-Bukhaari[

Soul Purification, - Bashfulness: An Asset of the Righteous Wife

- - -

Bashfulness is the asset of the believing woman that helps her preserve her honor, dignity and status. All righteous wives are bashful in their behavior and in everything else - their clothing, their movement, their speech, their dealings and their manners. The bashfulness of the believing wife makes her more adherent to the Islamic dress code, whether it beHijaabor the face cover. She does not wear any thing that is transparent, tight, similar to men’s clothes, ostentatious, scented or enticing. How can she not do all this when it is an obligation and she would bear sins if she did not abide by these rules? Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:
}and to wrap ]a portion of[ their headcovers over their chests{]Quran 24:31[
}O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves ]part[ of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused.{]Quran 33:59[
}and do not display yourselves as ]was[ the display of the former times of ignorance{]Quran 33:33[
How can a woman display herself as righteous while she displays her charms to every eye in order to attract attention? What would she then keep special for her husband? The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“Bashfulness and faith are inseparable; if one of them is missing, the other will be missing as well.”The woman who exposes her beauty is not bashful as she does not have this essential characteristic of Islam. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“Every religion has distinctive morals and bashfulness is the distinctive moral in Islam.”Moreover, the bashfulness of the believing woman makes her lower her gaze. Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}And tell the believing women to reduce ]some[ of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which ]necessarily[ appears thereof.{]Quran 24:31[
The righteous believing woman also knows what Allaah The Almighty says through the words of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam:“The ]forbidden[ gaze is one of the poisonous darts of Iblees ]Satan[. The one who avoids it out of fear of Me will be granted such faith that he feels its sweetness in his heart.”Giving free rein to the gaze brings nothing but harm as the forbidden gaze is the seed of all evil and can only lead to evil as it is one of the gates of the devil. The righteous woman does not underestimate this. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said to Umm Salamah and Maymoonah, may Allaah be pleased with them:“Are you blind? Do you not see him?”when they were looking at ‘Abdullaah ibn Umm Maktoom, who was a blind man.
The bashfulness of the righteous woman is also exhibited in the way she speaks. Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}Then do not be soft in speech ]to men[, lest he in whose heart is disease should covet.{]Quran 33:32[ The bashfulness of the believing woman is clear in her behavior, movement and way of walking. Thus, every Muslim woman should be an embodiment of bashfulness. The best example of bashfulness is that of the two girls who met Moosa )Moses(, may Allaah exalt his mention. Their bashfulness prevented them from mixing with men at the well of Madyan. They said )what means(:}“We do not water until the shepherds dispatch ]their flocks.[”{]Quran 28:23[ This is the example of the righteous woman who stays at home, and if she leaves it for a dire necessity then she does so while being bashful.

Dought & clear, - Does the soul come out of the body during sleep?.

IndonesiaArabicChinaEnglishSpanishFrenchItalianJapanKoreanHindiRussian
ShareShare::- :right:

Does the soul come out of the person when he is asleep, because sometimes just before I go to sleep, I feel that my soul is coming out of my body; I do not hear anything or see anything or feel anything at all for a few seconds, then it comes back and I wake up and am aware of everything.
Praise be to Allah.
There is clear evidence in the Qur’an and Sunnah which indicates that the soul is taken when one falls asleep, and that sleep is a kind of death. This evidence includes the following:
1.
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is Allah Who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep. He keeps those (souls) for which He has ordained death and sends the rest for a term appointed. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply”
[az-Zumar 39:42].
2.
And He, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is He, Who takes your souls by night (when you are asleep), and has knowledge of all that you have done by day”
[al-An‘aam 6:60].
3.
It was narrated from Abu Qataadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when they slept and missed the prayer, the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily Allah took your souls when He willed, and He returned them when He willed.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 7474
4.
It was narrated that Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was on a journey during which they slept until the sun rose. He said: “Verily you were dead and Allah returned your souls to you; whoever sleeps and misses a prayer, let him offer it when he wakes up, and whoever forgets a prayer, let him offer it when he remembers.”
Narrated by Abu Ya‘la inal-Musnad, 2/192; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inIrwa’ al-Ghaleel, 1/293
5.
It was narrated from Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) woke up, he would say: “Al-hamdu Lillahi alladhi ahyaana ba‘da ma amaatanaa wa ilayhi an-nushoor(Praise be to Allah Who has given us life after He caused us to die, and to Him will be the resurrection).”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6312. It was also narrated by Muslim in hisSaheeh, 2711, from al-Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him).
This evidence was quoted by al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him), who then said:
The verse indicates that sleep is a death, and the hadeeth indicates when a person sleeps his soul is taken. They both indicate that the soul that is taken in death is the soul that is taken during sleep.
End quote fromFath al-Baariby Ibn Rajab, 3/325
But the taking of the soul in sleep does not necessarily mean that it is completely separated from the body, as happens in death; rather the fact that the life remains in the body during sleep indicates that the soul is still connected to the body during sleep, but the connection is less than the connection when it is awake. Not every departure of the soul from the body implies death; rather what happens to the body differs according to the type of separation.
Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The taking of the soul from the body does not necessarily mean that it has departed from the body altogether; rather it may be taken whilst some kind of connection is still present, as in the case of one who is sleeping.
End quote fromFath al-Baari, by Ibn Rajab, 3/326
For other scholarly opinions on this issue, please seeal-Jaami‘ li Ahkaam al-Qur’an, by al-Qurtubi, 15/261;Fath al-Baariby Ibn Hajar, 11/114
However what appears to us to be the case is that what you mentioned in your question does not have anything to do with this issue at all; the departure of the soul during sleep only happens when one is actually sleeping, and it does not happen before sleeping as you mention.
Perhaps what is happening to you is a psychological matter or excessive preoccupation with death and the like.
We ask Allah to keep you safe and sound and to put your affairs straight.
And Allah knows best.
