*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Soul Purification, - Women Seeking the Reward of Allaah The Almighty

- - -

Women are the peers of men and they have been assigned the same religious duties as men with the exception of what is proven to be excluded by authentic evidence of theSharee‘ah)Islamic legislation( such as congregational prayer etc.
Hence, in principle, women are required to do what men are required to do. This includes enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, as the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:"Whoever among you sees evil, must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest degree of Faith."
The word “whoever” here applies equally to men and women, however, it is noticed that women are more likely to be negligent regarding enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil within their families, including their husbands and children and among other women in general.
Negligence in carrying out the duty of enjoining what is good and forbidding what is ‎evil is one of the causes of the rampant phenomenon of the unlawful exposure of women’s adornment before non-Mahram)marriageable( men.
Let me provide an example to clarify my point. If a woman wears indecent clothes at a wedding and only five other sisters from among the one hundred attendees advise her properly one after another directly, in writing, and so on, this would greatly influence this woman and she will most probably refrain from wearing such clothes again.
In fact, many of the women who wear such indecent clothes have never been given any advice. Therefore, the sisters who work in the field ofDa‘wah)Islamic propagation( and who seek the knowledge ofSharee‘ah, should undertake their duty by advising and guiding their fellow women.
They should be positive and attend women’s gatherings to advise their sisters, because this is better than refraining from attending such gatherings.
Whoever wants to enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil should accustom himself to patience and enduring hardships for the sake of Allaah The Almighty seeking His reward. Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, ]all[ that is of the matters ]requiring[ determination.{]Quran 31:17[

Soul Purification, - Fear – an attribute of the knowledgeable

- - -

One of the most momentous tasks for which the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was sent was the purification of souls, as Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}It is He Who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error.{]Quran 62:2[
Thus, He has also made success dependant on the cleansing of the self; after swearing eleven times successively, Allaah The Almighty affirms, Saying )what means(:}He has succeeded who purifies it,* And he has failed who instills it ]with corruption[.{]Quran 91:9-10[
Undoubtedly, one of the most crucial ways of achieving this purification is to nurture the soul to fear Allaah The Almighty. Imaam Ibn ul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said,"The degree of fear is one of the degrees of ]servitude implied in the verse )which means([,"It is You we worship and You we ask for help". In fact, it is of the most magnificent ranks on the way to ]worshipping[ Allaah, and the most useful for one’s heart. Thus, it is obligatory on everyone."
He, may Allaah have mercy upon him, added,"The heart, on its path to Allaah The Almighty, is like a bird; its head is love and its wings are fear and hope. When these are all sound, the bird flies well. But, were the head to be cut off, ]it[ would die; and if the two wings are missing, the bird becomes a vulnerable prey for predators and hunters."
When fear inhabits the heart, it eats away the black spots of desires, expelling ]love of[ the worldly life from it. That is because it is the device of Allaah The Almighty with which He disciplines those who are away from Him and drives them away from Hell and severe punishment. That is why Al-Fudhayl, may Allaah have mercy upon him, would declare,"Anyone who fears Allaah will be guided by ]that attribute[ to all good things."
Conversely, when fear deserts the heart, it is ruined, to the extent that one begins to dare to commit sins. But, how could a servant not fear Allaah The Almighty in this world, when he or she knows of the grave terrors to come, for the manner in which his or her life will end is a tossup? Sahl, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said, "The steadfast affirmers of truth fear having an abominable demise, with every thought and movement. Allaah The Almighty Says about them )what means(:}Their hearts are fearful.{]Quran 23:60[”
When the pious man, Sufyaan Ath-Thawri, may Allaah have mercy upon him, was about to die, he wept profusely; so, it was said to him,"Be hopeful, for the forgiveness of Allaah is greater than your sins."He responded,"Do I cry for the sins I have committed? If I know that I will surely die as a monotheistic Muslim, I will not be afraid of meeting Allaah with sins as huge as mountains."
Indeed, when a deceased man is buried and then questioned by the two angels in the grave, he does not know whether he will be steadfast or not. That is why, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, once sat next to the edge of a grave and cried; he then cautioned:"O brothers, prepare for ]your day like[ this."
If a person reflects on the terrors of the gathering of people in the Hereafter, the scale that will be used to measure our deeds, the bridge over Hell and the movement of people toward Paradise or Hell, his or her heart will be overwhelmed with fear. Consequently, that will prevent him or her from committing a lot of unlawful acts.
However, while fearing something causes one to flee from it, fearing Allaah The Almighty makes one actually run to Him, as He Says )what means(:}So flee to Allaah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.{]Quran 51:50[
Levels of fear
Some scholars have mentioned that fear has many levels, such as:
)1(Fear of punishment: This is the sort of fear which refines faith, and is felt by common people. It results from believing in the warnings of punishment, remembering one's sins and reflecting on one's end. When this sort of fear leaves the heart, it indicates that belief has departed it, too, for Allaah The Almighty linked them, when He Said )what means(:}And fear Me, if you are ]indeed[ believers.{]Quran 2:175[
)2(Fear of the plan of Allaah The Almighty: How many are those, gratified by their circumstances, but had their conditions reversed! Instead of persisting in their obedience, some people fearlessly deviate toward wicked deeds; then, they come to regret what they did when they suffer alienation and banishment, after having enjoyed confidence and friendship.
)3(Fear of prevention from seeing Allaah The Almighty: This is the most sublime level; it is the fear of the knowledgeable. The more a servant is aware of Allaah The Almighty and His attributes, the more he fears Him, as He Says )what means(:}Only those fear Allaah, from among His servants, who have knowledge.{]Quran 35:28[
Therefore, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was the most fearful person of all, as he is reported to have said about himself:"Indeed, I am the most knowledgeable of you about Allaah and the most fearful of Him amongst you."When it was said to him:"O Messenger of Allaah, you have aged”,he replied,")The chapter( Hoode and its counterparts have turned my hair white."
In another categorization of fear, some scholars posited that it may be characterized as deficient, excessive or moderate, with the latter being praiseworthy. That is because, in this case, it urges one to perform obligations and abandon prohibitions. If it further intensifies to the point that it drives him or her to increase in worship, and abstain from even minor bad deeds and from overindulgence in what is permitted ]as opposed to what is rewardable[, then it is better.
In contrast, the deficient type of fear is like mood swings; it appears when something activates it, like listening to a Quranic verse, admonition or something else; so, one sheds tears then and his or her heart becomes fearful. But, when the trigger no longer exists, that person returns to his or her state of heedlessness. This is the inadequate fear that hardly bears fruit.
Finally, the excessive fear is that which causes despair, illness or distress, to the extent that it makes one stop seeking virtues that are liked by Allaah The Almighty; of course, this is dispraised.
May Allaah The Almighty help us fear Him in secret and in public.

Dought & clear, - Ruling on Muslims congratulating one another on the occasionof the Gregorian New Year

- - -

Is it permissible for muslims to congratulate each other and give duaa on the new year based on the Gregorian calendar without the intention of celebrating it ?
Praisebeto Allah.
It is not permissible for the Muslims to exchange greetings on the occasion of the Gregorian New Year, and it is not permissible for them to celebrate it, because both of these matters involve imitation of thekuffaar, and we have been forbidden to do that.
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Narrated by AbuDawood, 4031; classed assaheehby al-AlbaaniinSaheehSunanAbiDawood
Moreover, offering greetings on this day that comes back each year comes under the heading of celebrating it and taking it as a festival, which is also forbidden.
And Allah knows best.
