*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Dought & clear - , Is it permissible to work as a bus driver of abus carrying advertisements for haraam things?.

I embraced Islam a few years ago - praise be to Allah - and I work as
a bus driver in London. I am happy with this job because I like to
drive buses, but I am not happy in other ways, because of the adverts
and pictures that are puton the bus. Sometimes they are pictures of
semi-naked women, or pictures of alcoholic drinks and haraam movies.
All of that is displayed in front of people and promotes those evil
things. What isthe ruling on a job like this? I feel that I am
contributing to the spread of evil and temptation, but the matter is
not under my control because I am justa driver. Moreover it is not
easy to find another job that is suitable for me as a Muslim in this
country if I leave this job.
I hope that you can advise me; may Allah reward you with good for your
efforts and forgive you in this worldand in the Hereafter. Ameen.
Praise be to Allaah.
We praise Allah, may He be exalted, for having guided you to Islam and
we ask Him, may He be glorified and exalted, to make you steadfast in
Islam and to increase you in guidance.
We appreciate your concern about what is halaal and asking about the
ruling on your work, and we ask Allah to make good easy for you and to
reward you, and to help you to avoid evil and sin.
With regard to your job, what appears to be the case is that it is not
permissible to work as the driver of a bus that carries adverts on its
side for sinful matters that incur punishment, such as ads for alcohol
and immoral activities. Working as a driver is not separate from those
advertisements that are on the bus he is driving. Based on that, it
may truly be said concerning his job that it is helping to promote
those immoral actions and haraam things, so this is helping in sin
which Allah, may He be exalted, has forbidden in the verse
(interpretation of the meaning):
"Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness
and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And
fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment"
[al-Maa'idah 5:2].
You should understand that Allah, may He be exalted, has not
restricted halaal means of earning a living and permissible work. And
you should also understand that whoever gives up something for the
sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better than
it.Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a
way for him to get out (from every difficulty).
3. And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine"
[al-Talaaq 65:2-3].
We ask Allah to make it easy for you to find a good and blessed halaal
source of provision.

Dought & clear - , She covered her face during ‘Umrah due to lack of knowledge; whatdoes she have to do?.

For the first time in 'Umrah my wife uncovered her face in Makkah, as
they were saying that it is not permissible to wear niqaab, and we did
not know. So my wife took off the niqaab and we completed 'umrah,
tawaaf and sa'i. After wegot back to our own country, we found out
that she should have covered her face with the shaylah (headscarf). My
question is: is there any expiation or is her 'umrah not accepted? I
hope that you can adviseus.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly: the woman in ihram is not allowed to wear the niqaab because
the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "The
woman in ihram should not wear niqaab or gloves."
This has been discussed previously in the answerto question no. 12516 .
Secondly: the prohibition on a womanwearing niqaab whilst in ihram
does not mean that she should leave herface uncovered in the presence
of non-mahram men; rather she must cover her face with something other
than the niqaab orburqa'.
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not
instruct the woman in ihram to uncover her face; rather he told her
not to wear the niqaab. There is a difference between the two matters;
she should not wear the niqaab but she should cover her face with
something other than the niqaab, such as the scarf.
It was narrated that 'Aa'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
The riders used to pass us when we were with the Messenger of Allah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in ihram. When they drew
close to us, one of us would let down her jilbaab from her head over
her face, and when they had passed us we would uncover it again.
Narrated by Ahmad, 23501; Abu Dawood, 1833; classed as hasan byal-Albaani.
Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) said: She may cover her face and her
hands, but without wearing the garment that is made to fit that part,
just as a man is not allowed to wear trousersbut he may wear the izaar
(waist wrapper).
End quote. Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 22/120
This issue has been discussed previously in the answer to question no. 120377
Thirdly: even though it was a mistake to uncover the face after
entering ihram, the 'umrah is not affected bya woman uncovering her
face after entering ihram or whilst circumambulating the Ka'bah
(tawaaf) or going between as-Safa and al-Marwah (sa'i). The 'umrah is
valid and we hope that it will be accepted in sha Allah, especially
since your wife uncovered her face due to lack of knowledge of the
Islamic ruling.
And Allah knows best.

Islamic Stories -, A Lesson from Disabled People

Once, a visitor was beingshown around a leper colony in India. The
colony was built to provide a shelter for those people who were poor
and had various physical disabilities. At noon a gong (a metal disk
that produces a sound when hit with a hammer) sounded to gather the
inhabitants for the midday meal. People came from all parts of the
compound to the dining hall. Suddenly, everyone started laughing at
seeing two young men, one riding on the other'sback, pretending to be
ahorse and a rider. They were having lots of fun. As the visitor
watched, he was told that the manwho carried his friend was blind, and
the man being carried was lame (who couldn't walk). Theone who
couldn't see used his feet; the one who couldn't walk used his eyes.
Together they helped each other and reached their destination.
Let us use each other's strengths to make up forthe weaknesses of
others. Our strength is inunity, not in division.
