In an interview with the "Raya" Qatari newspaper, Dr. Abu Bakr
Ash-Shaafi'i, an advisor of otolaryngology at Al-'Imaadi hospital in
Qatar, said that swine flu is a severe, extremely infectious chest
disease that infects pigs. It is produced from one of the A virus
subtypes of swine flu. Although the rate of disease outbreak is high,
the death rate because of it is low)1-4%(.
Influenza spreads among pigs through direct contact or the aerosols
produced by pigs)through coughing or sneezing(, as well as through the
disease-carrying pigs that do not show any indicative symptoms. Many
countries routinely immunize pigs against swine flu.
Dr. Ash-Shaafi'i explains that the viruses of swine flu usually belong
to the subtype H1N1. But other subtypes are widespread among pigs,
such as H1N2, H3N1, H3N2. In addition to the viruses of swine flu,
pigs might also be infected by the viruses of bird flu and seasonal
flu that infects humans. It is thought that the virus H3N2 was first
transmitted to pigs from humans. Pigs, according to Dr. Ash-Shaafi'i,
are sometimes affected by more thanone type of viruses simultaneously,
causing their genes to reassort, which leads to the emergence of a flu
virus containing genes of different sources. Although swine flu
viruses usually belong to special types that affect pigs only, they go
beyond the barrier of the species to cause disease to people.
Dr. Ash-Shaafi'i stressed the importance of personal hygiene, pointing
out that swine flu does not differ, in its symptoms, from common flu
that causes a runny nose, aching bones and joints, in addition to
vomiting, diarrhea, fever, shuddering and drowsiness. Thus, the
symptoms of swine flu could be considered similar to those of ordinary
flu, but more severe.
Dr. Ash-Shaafi'i advises the observance of the following hygienic
practices as preventive precautions: wash your hands, donot kiss, use
handkerchiefs when sneezing and throw them in the trash basket
immediately after using them, do not scratch, and drink liquids more
often once thedisease symptoms emerge. Dr. Ash-Shaafi'i points out
that deathbecause of swine flu is connectedwith the weak immunity of
the affected person.
Regarding the effects on the health of mankind, many cases ofhuman
infection by swine flu, individually or collectively, have been
recorded. Its symptoms, in general, are similar to those of seasonal
influenza. But the recorded clinical cases range between infection
without symptoms and severe pneumonitis leading to death.
Because the typical clinical cases of swine flu are similar to
seasonal flu and other severe infections of the upper part of the
respiratory system, most cases have been detected by chance through
seasonal surveillance of influenza. The light cases or those without
symptoms could pass without being recognized. That is why thereal
extent to which the disease is widespread among people is unknown.
As regards the mechanism of human infection, people usually get the
swine flu from infected pigs. Nevertheless, some infectedpeople have
never had any contact with pigs, nor have they been in environments
where pigsexist. The transmission of the disease from man to man has
been recorded in some cases where there was close contact orin cases
where people have been in closed groups.
Swine flu is not among the diseases that were reported to the World
Organization for Animal Health ) www.oie.int(, hence its spread among
people isnot sufficiently known.
Swine flu is an endemic disease inthe USA, and it has occurred and
spread among pigs in the North and South Americas, Europe )UK, Sweden
and Italy(, Africa )Kenya(, and some parts of Eastern Asia)China and
Japan(.
As far as the risk of an epidemic outbreak of the disease is
concerned, most people who are not in regular contact with pigs would
probably have no immunity against the viruses thatcause swine flu to
protect them from being infected by it. If an efficient transmission
of the swine flu virus takes place from man to man, it would lead to
an outbreak of a flu epidemic, whose effects are hard to predict,as
they depend on the virus's strength, immunity among people, and the
protection caused by anti-bodies that are produced from seasonal
influenza and its breeding factors.
There are no vaccines that contain the virus of the present swine flu
that affects humans. It is also unknown whether or not the vaccines of
the seasonal flu might provide protection in that respect. It is very
important to invent a vaccine against the present type of swine flu
virus, in order to provide the maximum degree of protection for
people. That is why the World Health Organization )WHO( is in need to
detect a large number of viruses to choose the most suitable one to
use in manufacturing the desired vaccine.
Concerning the medicines available for treatment, the anti-virus
medicines used to treatseasonal influenza are available insome
countries, and they preventand treat the disease effectively. There
are two kinds of those medicines:
1. Adamantine, Amantadine, and Remantadine.
2. Oseltamivir and Zanamivir.
Most of the previously recorded cases of swine flu entirely recovered
from the disease, without need for medical care or anti-virus
medication.
Some influenza viruses have acquired immunity against anti-virus
medicines, which restricts the effect of the chemical prophylaxes. The
virusesthat have been isolated from the present human cases of swine
fluin the USA proved to be responsive to Oseltamivir and Zanamivir,
and resistant to Amantadine and Remantadine.
But, unfortunately, there is not enough information to give advice
about using anti-virus medicines to prevent and treat the virus of
swine flu. Here, clinical physicians have to make their decisions
depending upon the epidemic and clinical evaluation, and assessment of
harm and benefit caused by usingany of these to treat the diseased.
Concerning the current outbreak of the disease in the USA and Mexico,
both local and national authorities recommend the use of Oseltamivir
and Zanamivir in treatment, according to the virus's responsiveness.

Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Inquiries about Swine Flu
Ways we can cope with our own illness-II
Be confident that Allaah knows what is best for you:You should palce
your trust in Allaah and must remember that you do not know the wisdom
behind this trial, perhaps it will make you stronger and lead you on a
path to a better life. We should never limit Allaah's wisdom to our
comprehension level, because wewill never be able to comprehendit — it
is above our capability to understand .We should, however, know for a
certainty that Allaah does not intend harm because it is harmful. Harm
with Allaah is not intended for itself but for other things that may
bring good.
Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "Allaah doesn't
particularly intend harm for a person when He causes him to become
ill. Allaah intends for the disease to take place and the disease is
what may harm man. But He did not intend harm for man. He intends for
him only the good from it. Sometimes, the Divine Wisdom may be
apparent to the sick, and sometimes it maynot. As Allaah has said
)what means(:"And fear a trial which will not strike those who have
wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allaah is severe in
penalty."]Quran 8:25[
Remember Allaah and ask Him forforgiveness much:Alisaid: "When Allaah
guides His servants to ask for forgiveness, He helps them to achieve
what they request." Allaah has said )what means(:"But Allaah would not
punish them while you are amongst them. And Allaah wouldnot punish
them while they seek forgiveness."]Quran 8:33[
Allaah has told us that He would not punish someone who seeks
forgiveness, because sincere forgiveness removes the sin that is the
reason for the punishment. The Prophetsaid:"He who is constant in
seeking forgiveness, Allaah will make for him a way out of any
distress, release from grief, and provide for him from where he does
not expect it."]Abu Daawood and Ibn Maajah[ So whoever believes in
Allaah alone and seeks forgiveness fromHim, He will provide for him an
appointed term, and whoever does good after that, He will increase him
from His Grace.
Supplicate with a humble heart and a crying eye asking Allaah to cure
you:Try to take advantage ofthe time when supplications are more
likely to be answered, praising Allaah and calling upon Him with His
Beautiful Names. It is also recommended to give something in charity
from the best of your possessions before making your supplications.
Understand and realize that illness is not the end of your life. If
Allaah has taken something from you, think of all the things that He
has given you and all of the things that you still have.
A believer always strives for the pleasure of his Lord and does
notstop because of disease or a trial. The best example is the example
the scholar of this nation; Ibn 'Abbaaswhen he lost his vision and
said: "If Allaah has taken from my eyes their light, itis in my tongue
and heart that I will find the light. My heart is bright and my mind
has no defects. And in my mouth there isa sharp, authentic sword."
Guard the mandatory acts of worship )Faraa'id(:do not neglectthem to
the best of your ability. Ifyou have any questions, ask people of
knowledge. Perform many good and righteous deeds as possible. If
someone else can do them for you on your behalf, this is also
acceptable. Beware of any practice that is not lawful, especially
those against our faith, such as slaughtering animals to anything other
than Allaah, hanging charms, seeking refuge with jinn or going to
sorcerers.
When you are physically able, try to occupy your time with beneficial
things like reading. Find activities that you enjoy and that will
distract you from your disease and worries.
Always remember that your faith canand does make miracles:Donot
underestimate the effect of reliance upon Allaah. There are many
incidents that have been witnessed where the impossible becomes
possible by the power of faith.
Although the cure for illness is out of our hands and is up to Allaah
alone, we can still do something to make a difference to those who are
suffering. It is unfortunate that often times we belittle the impact
we can have on others, especially to those who are ill. Just a smile
or a funny story to make someone laugh and forget their worries fora
moment is something that can be remembered for years — because it made
an impact and it made a difference. How many times have we experienced
the impact ourselves in our own liveswhen someone visited us or gaveus
a call - just at the time when we were at our lowest moment? Most of
us will never forget that person who took the time to think about us,
and we always remember them fondly because they — without realizing it

What is the correct the time for paying zakaat al-fitr?
What defines the correcttime (the Eid prayer) for paying zakaat
al-fitr? Is it the prayer of the imam, or the prayer offered on one's
own, or the time of the prayer? May Allah reward you with good.
Praise be to Allah.
What is required is to pay zakaat al-fitr before the Eid prayer,
because of the report narrated by Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allah be pleased
with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him) enjoined zakaat al-fitr aspurification for the
fasting person from idle and obscene talk, and to feed the poor.
Whoever pays it before the (Eid) prayer, it is a valid zakaat al-fitr,
and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is (ordinary) charity.
Narrated by Abu Dawood (1609) and Ibn Maajah (1827); classed ashasan
by al-Albaani inSaheeh Abi Dawoodand elsewhere.
The apparent meaning of the hadeeth links the time of zakaat al-fitr
to the Eid prayer. Once the regular imam has finished his prayer, the
time for it comes to an end. The prayer of an individual offered on
hisown has nothing to do with it, because if we were to say that,
there would be no specific time for it. So what counts is the prayer
of the imam. But if a person is in a place where no prayer is held,
such as in the desert, then he should pay it at the time at which it
is paid in the nearest city.
Al-Bahooti (may Allah have mercy on him) said:The best is to pay
zakaat al-fitr on the day of Eid before the prayer or around that time
in a place where the Eid prayer is not offered, because the Prophet
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) instructed that it should
be paid before the people went out to prayer, according to the hadeeth
of Ibn 'Umar. Some said that it is best if it is paid when going out
to the prayer place.

Dought & clear, - The time for ghusl on Eid
When should one do ghusl for Eid? Because if I do ghusl after Fajr,
the time will be very limited, as the place where we pray the Eid
prayer is far away from my house.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
Doing ghusl on Eid is mustahabb.
It was narrated that the Prophet(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) did ghusl on the day of Eid.
It was also narrated that some of the Sahaabah did ghusl on the day of
Eid, such as 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib, Salamah ibn al-Akwa' and Ibn 'Umar
(may Allaah be pleased with them).
Al-Nawawi said inal-Majmoo':
All the isnaads (of these reports) are weak and false except the
report of Ibn 'Umar. The evidence which may be taken as proof that it
is mustahabb is the report of Ibn 'Umar, and analogy with Jumu'ah.
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
There are two weak (da'eef) ahaadeeth concerning this matter, but it
was proven from Ibn 'Umar, who was verykeen to follow the Sunnah, that
he used to do ghusl for Eid before going out.
Secondly:
With regard to the time when one should do ghusl for Eid:
It is better to do that after Fajr prayer, but if one does it before
Fajr that is sufficient, because of the shortnessof time available
after Fajr, because the people need to go to offer the Eid prayer and
the prayer place may be far away.
It says inal-Muntaqa Sharh Muwatta' al-Imaam Maalik:
It is mustahabb to do ghusl just before going out to the prayer-place.
Ibn Habeeb said that the best time to do ghusl for Eid is after
praying Fajr. Maalik said inal-Mukhtasarthat if one does ghusl for Eid
beforeFajr that is acceptable.
InSharh Mukhtasar(2/102), Khaleel said thatthe time for ghusl for
Eidis during the last one-sixth of the night.
Ibn Qudaamah said inal-Mughni:
The time for ghusl (for Eid) is after the dawn comes, according to the
apparent meaning of al-Khiraqi's words. Al-Qaadi and al-Aamidi said:
Ghusl before Fajr does not fulfil the Sunnah of doing ghusl, because
the ghusl for a prayer should be done on that day and doing it before
dawn does not meet that condition, as is the case with ghusl
forJumu'ah. Ibn 'Aqeel said: What is mentioned in the texts from Ahmad
is (that it may be done) before Fajr and after, because the time for
Eid is more limited than the time for Jumu'ah, so if it is limited to
the time after Fajr one may not be able to do it. And because the
purpose behind it is to cleanse oneself, which may be achieved by
doing ghusl at night because it is close to the time of prayer. But it
is better to do it after Fajr, so as to avoid an area of scholarly
dispute and to be more clean, because that is closer to the time of
prayer.
Al-Nawawi said inal-Majmoo':
Concerning the time when this ghusl is valid, there are two well-known
opinions. The view that it should be after dawn breaks was stated
inal-Ummand the more correct view according to scholarly consensus is
that it is permissible to do it both after Fajr and before.
Al-Qaadi Abu al-Tayyib said in his bookal-Mujarrad, al-Shaafa'i stated
inal-Buwaytithat ghusl for Eid is valid before dawn breaks.
Al-Nawawi said: If we say that according to themore correct view it is
valid before dawn, then the most sound and most well-known view isthat
it is valid after half the night has passed, butit is not valid before
then. The second view is that it is valid at any time of the night.
This was the view of al-Ghazaali, and was the view favoured by Ibn
al-Sabbaagh and others. The third view is that it is only valid just
before Fajr. This was the view of al-Baghawi.
Based on this, there is nothing wrong with doing ghusl for Eid before

Dought & clear, - To whom should zakaat al-fitr be paid?
Men are asking for zakaat al-fitr in the marketplace, and we donot
know whether they are religiously committed or not. Thereare others
whose situation is comfortable, and whatever they get of the zakaah
they spend on their children. Some of them receive a salary but they
are weakin religious commitment. Is it permissible to give themzakaat
al-fitr or not?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Zakaat al-fitr should be given to poor Muslims even if they are
sinners so long as their sin is notsomething that puts them beyond the
pale ofIslam. What is meant by poor is those who appear to be poor,
even if they are in fact rich. The one who is paying the zakaah should
seek out good poor people asmuch as possible. If he finds out later
that the one who took it was actually rich, that does not affect the
one who gave it, rather he has discharged his duty, praise be to
Allaah.
And Allaah is the Source of strength.

Many people sponsor orphans; do they have to pay zakaat al-fitr on their behalf?
Praise be to Allah.
Zakaat al-fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim, whether male orfemale,
young or old, because of the hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be
pleased with him) who said: The Messengerof Allah (blessings and peace
of Allah be upon him) enjoined zakaat al-fitr upon the people at the
end of Ramadan, asaa' of dates or a saa' of barley, upon everyone,
free or slave, male or female, among the Muslims. Narrated by
al-Bukhaari (1504) and Muslim (984). The orphan is included in
thegeneral meaning of the word people.
Based on that, if the orphan has any wealth, zakaat al-fitr must be
paid from it; it is an obligation upon him that he must pay from his
own wealth, and the one who is sponsoring him does not have to give
zakaat al-fitr on his behalf, because he is able to afford it. But if
his sponsor gives it on his behalf voluntarily, that is acceptable.
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:The orphan who has wealth
is obliged to pay his zakaat al-fitr from hiswealth, in our opinion.
That was also the view of the majority of scholars, including Maalik,
Abu Haneefah and Ibn al-Mundhir. End quote fromal-Majmoo', 6/109
Al-Bahooti said inKashshaaf al-Qinaa'(2/247): It is obligatory upon
every Muslim… male or female, old or young, because of the report
quoted above, even if he is an orphan. It must be paid from the
individual's wealth. That was stated [by Imam Ahmad]. End quote.
But if the orphan does not have any wealth, then his zakaat al-fitr
must be paid by the one who is Islamically obliged to spend on this
orphan among his relatives. As for the one who is sponsoring him: he
is not obliged to pay zakaat al-fitr on his behalf, because he is
spending on him voluntarily.
This is the view of the majority of scholars (including the three
imams, Abu Haneefah, Maalik and ash-Shaafa'i),because they say that
zakaat al-fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim and those whom he is
obliged to support. The one who sponsors an orphan is voluntarily
sponsoring him, so he is not obliged to give zakaat al-fitr on behalf
of the orphan.
The view of Imam Ahmad is that whoever is spending on a person during
the month of Ramadan, even if he does so voluntarily, is obliged to
give zakaat al-fitr on that person's behalf. Imam Ahmad stated that
whoever takes in an orphan girl must give zakaat al-fitr on her
behalf.
Some of the Hanbalis, such as Ibn Qudaamah, favoured the view that
this is not obligatory, and they interpreted thewords of Imam Ahmad
mentioned above as meaning that it is mustahabb (recommended).
See:al-Mughni(4/306);ash-Sharh al-Kabeer, (7/97)
To sum up: the one who voluntarily sponsors an orphan is not obliged
to pay zakaat al-fitr on behalf of the orphan. Rather zakaat al-fitr
must be paid from the orphan's wealth if he has any wealth; if he does
not have any wealth then zakaat al-fitr must be paid by his relative
who is Islamically obliged to spend on him.
And Allah knows best.

Admit your Mistake whenever you are wrong
When Bilqees arrived, she was amazed to see her throne and realized
what power Allah (swt) had given to Prophet Sulayman (as). She then
entered the palace through the courtyard whose floor was made ofglass.
Thinking that it was a pool of water, she raised her clothes to pass
through it. When ProphetSulayman (as) informed her, what it was, she
was overwhelmed with wonder and accepted him to be a prophet of Allah

The secret behind the creation of good and evil
The life of this world is a test specially created by Allah. It is a
transitory thing with both good and bad in which human beings are
tested. There is, of course, considerable wisdom in this. It is
essential that evil exist beside good for people to understand the
value of Paradise. Human beings are tested in terms of the virtuous
behavior they display, by Allah's leave, in this sphere in which
the good are divided from the evil.
The life of this world is a sphere in which there is a constant
struggle between the good and the bad. However, good and badare not
separated from one another by just a few characteristics. They possess
totally different, comprehensive and detailed character traits. The
bad act entirely according tosatan's directions, while the good follow
their consciences. The bad know no bounds inspired by fear of Allah,
and are capable of doing anything at anytime. When the situation and
prevailing conditions require they are quite capable of lying,
slandering others, engaging in unlawful acts, disloyalty, treachery,
putting their own interests before those of others, hatred, envy,
imbalance and intrigue. Since they have no fear of Allah they are
potentially capable of all kinds of betrayal and wickedness. There is
nothing to stop them killing, for example, when they become
sufficiently imbalanced. The more evil they commit, the morethey come
under satan's control, and the more evil deeds they arecapable of
committing.
People under satan's control busy themselves with wrongdoing, making
life difficultfor others, and spreading darkness, fear and misery,
instead of enjoying life's blessings. They look at the life ofthis
world from a different perspective. Although they knowtheir lives will
be very brief, they still elect to waste this short time span on
feelings of greed and enmity, thinking of their own interests. And
their targets are people of good character.
Good people are those who act from a fear of Allah. The
delightscreated in this world are all blessings in the eyes of such
people. Fear of Allah leads them to behave well and properly
throughout their lives, to be loyal and honest, never to do anything
unlawful, never to infringe anyone else's rights, to put others above
themselves, to be friends and brothers to others, to be trustworthy,
to harbor no ulterior motives and never to plot and conspire. Such
people are highly virtuous at every moment in their lives. Theyare
never imbalanced, exhibit unexpected character traits or lose control
of themselves. Because of their fear of Allah, the good always behave
in a manner compatible with the Qur'an. This is one of the main
distinguishing features betweenthe good and the bad. It is also the
cause of the evil's eternal hostility to the good: Since the evil have
declared war on all thatAllah sees as good, they also hate those who
love Him.
Since the life of this world is a test in which the good are
distinguished from the bad, whenever there is chaos and evilin it, one
faces the need to live ina manner compatible with the Qur'an. Only
when people live forAllah's approval, and thus according to the
Qur'an, will thisworld be a flawless place of friendship, brotherhood,
honesty, love and compassion. The fact that this world was created as
described in the Qur'an is also evidence of the existence of the
Hereafter. People are tested according to whether or not they will
abide by the Qur'an. In one verse Almighty Allah reveals:
He Who created death and life to test which of you is best in action.
He is the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving. (Surat al-Mulk, 2)
Perfection endures for all time inthe eternal Paradise created by
Allah. Our Almighty Lord will bestow His artistry of
perfection, together with the most delightful blessings, on true
believers in the Hereafter. Paradise is a sphere where thereis no
evil, imperfection, sorrow or fear, in which delights are bestowed for
all eternity. It manifests the sublime artistry ofAllah, He Who has
the power to create flawlessness and the finest blessings. As our
AlmightyLord reveals in other verses:
Those brought near will witnessit. The truly good will be in perfect
Bliss on couches gazing in wonder. (Surat al-Mutaffifin, 21-23)

Waging a Struggle Consistent with the Qur'an's Ethics
All Muslims should live according to the ethics Allah revealed in
the Qur'an. However fair and just Muslims are in their everyday
life, their business affairs, or in their personal relationships,
they must demonstrate the same values during times of war, while
defending themselves, or even while being driven from their lands.
They must still put themselves in Allah's hands, obey Allah's laws,
and adhere strictly to His instructions.
The word "Islam" has the same meaning as the word "peace" in Arabic.
The Qur'an calls people to the ethics of Islam, through which the
world can be made a haven for peace and love. Allah commands us to
rule justly and without discriminating among people, to preserve
people's rights, oppose cruelty, and help those in need. This
justice requires each Muslim to protect the rights of both parties,
evaluate events objectively, and think without bias. It requires
justice, honesty, love, mercy, and compassion.
As Allah reveals in the Qur'an: "O you who believe! Show integrity
for the sake of Allah, bearing witness with justice. Do not let
hatred for a people incite you into not being just. Be just, for
that is closer to heedfulness. Fear Allah. Allah is aware of what
you do." (Surat al-Ma'ida, 8), true Muslims must not let their
decisions or practices be tainted by such feelings as resentment,
hatred, and rage. Muslims must always conduct themselves according
to the Qur'an, behave with patience and restraint, and avoid
exaggerated responses. As Allah reminds: " We will test you with a
certain amount of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and
fruits. But give good news to the steadfast ." (Surat al-Baqara,
155). Thus, given that this life on Earth is merely a trial, we must
never forget that Allah tests His believers with war, attack,
oppression, and all manner of difficulties. The most important thing
is for Muslims to respond to such trials in a manner that pleases
Allah and always to behave in accord with Islamic teachings and
principles.
Thus the Palestinians must remember, as they respond to Israel, that
every difficulty they endure is really a test of their faith. In
addition, they must strictly adhere to Allah's ethics, justice, and
commands not to overstep their bounds. They must follow only those
opposition methods revealed in the Qur'an. The result of such an
intellectual struggle is most certainly salvation, for "Allah only
did this for it to be good news for you and so that your hearts might
be set at rest by it. And victory is not except from Allah, the
Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah Al 'Imran, 126)
Attacks against Defenseless Jews Are Incompatible with the Qur'an
The verse: "Allah does not forbid you from being good to those who
have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes,
or from being just toward them. Allah loves those who are just."
(Surat al-Mumtahana, 8) describes how the Palestinians must behave
toward civilians as they oppose the Israeli government. In the
Qur'an, Allah forbids killing innocent people, unarmed women,
children, and the elderly. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant
him peace) gave specific orders to his commanders going to war,
and warned them not to harm civilians.
In the last few years, however, some Palestinians have carried out
bombings against civilian settlements occupied by unarmed
civilians, children, women, and the elderly. These attacks have made
targets of a cafeteria, a school bus, and places where teenagers
hang out, and have resulted in dozens of civilian deaths. According
to Israeli reports from various news agencies, suicide bombings
since September 2000 have killed 30 Israeli children and injured
272 more. Out of 177 Israelis killed, 128 were civilians; out of
1,743 Israelis injured, 1,216 were civilians. ("Palestinian
Terrorism - The Israel Side," Bridges for Peace Website,
http://www.bridgesforp eace.com/public ations /dispatch/signsoftimes
/Article- 2.html .) These attacks provoked a strong reaction
throughout the world and did more harm than good to the Palestinian
cause. Even those in the West who had opposed Israel's pro-violence
policy were forced to condemn the Palestinians and withdraw their
support.
Obviously, such attacks cannot be excused. As explained above, such
a method is absolutely inconsistent with Islam. When we examine the
Qur'an and the Prophet's (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)
actions, we find that Islam does not support attacks against
civilians. Whether during the conquest of Mecca or during other
wars, the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)
carefully protected the rights of innocent and unarmed people and
prevented them from being harmed. He reminded Muslims of this on
various occasions by telling them: "Set out for war in the name of
Allah and for the sake of Allah. Do not lay hands on the old verging
on death, on women, children and babies. Do good, for Allah loves
the virtuous and the pious." ( Sahih Muslim Hadiths ) Another
reminder is:
"Do not kill any old person, any child or any woman." ( Abu Dawud Hadiths )
"Do not kill the monks in monasteries" ( Musnad of Ibn Hanbal
Hadiths) or "Do not kill the people who are sitting in places of
worship." ( Musnad of Ibn Hanbal Hadiths)
As shown in the hadiths, Muslims must struggle in conformity with
the Qur'an. In other words, their struggle must be just,
compassionate, and free of extremism. Muslims should oppose both
tyranny and barbarism, and all forms of injustice. Another verse
reports that they must always be on the side of peace and
compromise:
If they incline to peace, you too incline to it and put your trust
in Allah. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (Surat al-Anfal,
61)
Muslim's stand on the subject of Israel and the Jews must also be in
line with these basic principles. Muslims who live in accordance
with the Qur'an must have an unbiased view of the Jews.
Jews believe in Allah's Oneness and follow a religion Allah revealed
through His messengers. Moreover, the Qur'an refers to them as
People of the Book. They embrace many values, based on Allah's
revelation, as well as the concepts of sin, haram (prohibited) and
halal (allowed). In the Qur'an, one can see that there was a
friendly relationship between Muslims and the People of the Book.
For this reason, if one of the People of the Book cooks some food,
Muslims can eat it and vice-versa, and Muslim men can marry their
women. These commands show that warm neighborly and even family
ties can be established among Jews, Christians, and Muslims, and
that they can accept each other's invitations. Another verse calls
for the two groups to unite, based upon a common word for belief
(Surah Al 'Imran, 64).
For these reasons, Muslim communities historically have behaved
moderately and compassionately toward the People of the Book. This
situation is especially evident in the Ottoman Empire, which
accepted the Jews exiled by Catholic Spain at the end of the
fifteenth century and allowed them to live peacefully in the
empire.
Allah does not forbid you from being good to those who have not
fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from
being just toward them. Allah loves those who are just. Allah
merely forbids you from taking as friends those who have fought you
in the religion and driven you from your homes and who supported
your expulsion. Any who take them as friends are wrongdoers. (Surat
al-Mumtahana, 8-9)
Justice and moderation also should be shown toward followers of
non-monotheistic faiths and toward those with no faith at all, both
of which are far more distant to Muslims. According to the Qur'an,
Muslims have an obligation to protect all, even idolaters, and to
ensure they reach their destination safely when they so request.
If any of the idolaters ask you for protection, give them protection
until they have heard the words of Allah. Then convey them to a
place where they are safe. … (Surat at-Tawba, 6)
Muslims with a responsibility to ensure the safety of all, even
idolaters, must obviously be affectionate and understanding toward
the People of the Book, who believe in the One Allah, are loyal to
the prophets and have the concept of lawful and forbidden. Simply
put, Muslims who are sincere in their religion, obey Allah, and
respect the Qur'an can neither nurture animosity toward Jews just
because of their religion and beliefs, nor treat them with hostility
just because they are Jews.
Islam Forbids Suicide
When discussing attacks on Israeli citizens, the Islamic view of
suicide also must be examined. Some people are gravely misinformed
about Islam, believing that this religion of peace permits suicide
bombings; nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, Islam
forbids a Muslim from taking his or her life, just as it forbids
taking somebody else's life. Allah explicitly condemns suicide: " do
not kill yourselves " (Surat an-Nisa', 29), regardless of the
reason. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) also
told his Companions that suicide leads one to eternal damnation:
Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain and kills himself
will be in the (Hell) Fire falling down into it and abiding therein
perpetually forever. Whoever drinks poison and kills himself with
it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in
the (Hell) Fire, wherein he will abide eternally forever. Whoever
kills himself with an iron weapon will be carrying that weapon in
his hand and stabbing his abdomen with it in the (Hell) Fire,
wherein he will abide eternally forever. ( Sahih Bukhari Hadiths)
As explained in the hadith, committing suicide and engaging in
suicide bombings – not to mention killing innocent people thereby –
violates the Qur'an's ethics. Every Muslim should condemn these
incidents, which cast a pall upon the Palestinians' rights.
It must not be forgotten that those who compel Palestinian youths to
engage in such unjust and irrational behavior are also pulling
Israeli and Palestinian youths into an endless cycle of bloodshed
and retribution. These ongoing suicide bombings destroy these
young people's futures and that of the land itself. The young people
who strap on explosives and detonate them among civilians are
being destroyed on a road that will never lead to success. And it is
essential for this method, which is incompatible with the Qur'an,
to be condemned by all Muslims.
The Solution Is the Implementation of Qur'anic Ethics
Any mode of struggle outside of the Qur'anic value system – for
example, the guerilla tactics envisaged by communist ideology – is
not correct and cannot succeed. For this reason, the current
situation must be evaluated sensibly and realistically, and a method
consistent with Qur'anic values must be devised.
The Palestinians can only attain the rights and peaceful lives they
demand through a campaign waged on the level of ideas and supported
by a very powerful educational project. For this, the Palestinians
need a strong team of educated and cultured individuals who are
aware of legal, diplomatic, and international policies, and who
conduct themselves according to the ethics of the Qur'an.
Of course there are a great many highly cultured, open-minded
intellectuals among the Palestinian people. The important thing is
the work these intellectuals will engage in to raise the
consciousness of the young, turn them in the right direction and
defend the Palestinian cause before the people of the world. This
work could play an important role in raising the Palestinians'
awareness of true Islamic ethics, raising the level of education,
and helping them to explain their rights to the world.
At present a very different picture of the Palestinian people is
being presented to the world, a picture totally at variance with the
truth. The Palestinian cause is suffering serious damage on account
of the irrational attacks, incompatible with Islamic values, being
carried out by a few fanatics or subversive groups who oppose peace
with violence. In the same way that this harm is expressed by many
intellectuals, it is also described by commentators in various
countries, including Turkey. The daily Zaman writer Kerim Balci, who
lives in Palestine, drew attention to this in one of his articles:
Not only are the suicide attacks a violation of fundamental Islamic
values, they also damage the Palestinian cause. Not just me, but
rational thinking Palestinians say the same thing … The Palestinian
cause is a problem of the whole Islamic world. Those at the head of
this movement cannot act in the light of their own personal
interests, out of a desire for revenge and a concern over honor and
pride. The militants who kill innocent Jewish children in Palestine
may well believe they are serving Islam. Yet all of their actions do
is to make things much more difficult for those people who are
trying to repair the damage done to the Muslim image all over the
world … It is blatantly evident that attacks of this kind benefit
Israel much more than Palestine. ( Zaman Turkish Daily, 15 September
2002.)
There are even those Palestinians who, ignorant of the true
Qur'anic morality, may participate in these provocations without
realizing the nature of what they are doing.
Given this, a great education force must be mobilized and spread
among all Palestinians, particularly the young ones, to stamp out
this ignorance and fanaticism and to teach them the true values of
the Qur'an. Schools, universities, and mass education campaigns can
help to raise their awareness and will be the greatest possible
contribution. We say this because when these people recognize the
true Islam revealed in the Qur'an, when they learn that Islam is a
religion of peace and reconciliation, when they comprehend world
politics with the consciousness brought by the Qur'an, they will
understand that suicide bombings and killing innocent people in
cafeterias or on buses are not only wrong, but are not a solution.
It is far easier to reach a solution through compassion and
reconciliation, rational policies, a worldwide diplomatic
initiative, and an intellectual struggle that is consistent with
the Qur'an's moral values.
The many wars of the twentieth century, as well as the numerous
incidents that have inaugurated the twenty- first century, clearly
show that violence cannot undo violence, and that brutality cannot
undo brutality. The only way to stop violence is for the virtues of
the Qur'an's ethics – humility, compassion, reconciliation, and
rationality – to prevail upon people's thoughts and actions, and on
the entire world.
the Qur'an. However fair and just Muslims are in their everyday

they must demonstrate the same values during times of war, while

They must still put themselves in Allah's hands, obey Allah's laws,

There is no command in the Qur'an that says '...laughter is from satan,a smile is from Allah’. Allah says, “Do not say about what your lying tongues describe: 'This ishalal and this is haram.''
A reader wrote : "our Prophet (saas) has a hadith; 'Laughter is from
satan. A smile is from Allah.' In your program, masha'Allah, there
is always laughter…"
Look let me tell you something. The Companions were laughing out
loud. In the verse it is said that believers laugh at the situation
of the polytheists out loud. Allah humiliates them; He shames them
in the hereafter. They grovel. They try to escape from hell. They
try to escape from where they came from; they jump and fall down.
They think that they could get out of there. They think that they
found some way to escape and they scheme about it. Muslims see them
and laugh out loud sitting on their thrones. Allah says, "So today
those who have faith are laughing at non-believers." They laugh at
polytheists out loud. They do not smile. They laugh out loud.
However TODAY BELIEVERS LAUGH AT THOSE WHO ARE NON-BELIEVERS.
SO TODAY WHO HAVE FAITH ARE LAUGHING AT NON-BELIEVERS, ON COUCHES,
GAZING IN WONDER. (Surat at-Mutaffifin, 34-35)
Laughter brings relief and opens the mind. There are people who cry
all the time. They cry from morning to night. What do they say?
They say, "Cry all the time. Don't laugh." When a person feels like
laughing, he laughs. Why "...smile a little"? Does it have a
standard? This is wrong. A Muslim can laugh, as he likes. He is
joyful and cheerful.
If we were to act according to those false hadiths of yours, let me
tell you, it would be impossible. It is also said, "Kill those who do
not pray." Women are accepted as only half a person according to
one hadith. It is said that they are half a person and they could
never become rulers. It is said, "Do the opposite of what they
say." According to the false explanations of what you call hadiths,
these are so; but all of these are fabricated and none are
paralleled in the Qur'an.
A hadith is a hadith only if it is in agreement with the Qur'an.
Laughter; you laugh as you like. However with the bigots, that's not
the case. According to you, we cannot sit at a table. We have to
sit on the floor. We cannot also wear a jacket. It is also wrong to
have a hair cut like this. There is no end to it. According to the
false hadiths you mentioned, when a woman, a donkey or a pig is
passing by, you cannot pray. He will not pray and then you will
kill him. He will not give alms and then you will kill him. He will
not fast and then you will kill him. What kind of religion is this?
None of these things are in the Qur'an. Allah says in the verse,
"THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION ..." (Surat al-Baqara, 256) What
do you say? You say, "It is forbidden to laugh." Laughter is
forbidden. Music is also forbidden. You will not listen to music.
You will not sit at a table. You will not use forks and spoons. You
also cannot use a toothbrush.
Those who did evil used to laugh at those who had faith.
When they passed by them, they would wink at one another.
When they returned to their families, they would make a joke of them.
When they saw them, they would say, 'Those people are misguided.'
But they were not sent as guardians over them.
(Surat Al-Mutaffifin Suresi, 29-33)
Look Allah says, "Non-believers were laughing at believers in this
world ." Sinners are laughing at believers. Allah says, " When they
passed by them, they would wink at one another. " Now they are
mocking the system of the Mahdi in their own way. Surely, Allah is
beyond that. They are also mocking the Prophet Jesus (pbuh). Allah
says, " When they returned to their families, they would make a
joke of them. " They were saying, " When they saw them, they would
say, 'Those people are misguided.' " Pay close attention here. Look
at what they say to believers: " Those people are misguided. " What
are they going to say to the Mahdi? "Misguided." What does Allah say
in the verse? He says, " They would say, 'Those people are
misguided.' " They will use the same words for the Mahdi. Even our
Prophet (saas) says in one hadith, "The scholar in Istanbul will say
to the Mahdi, 'This man is misguided. He is an apostate. Do not
approach him'" This is the hadith. Allah says in the verse, " But
they were not sent as guardians over them. " Look, this is very
meaningful. " But they were not sent as guardians over them ." They
are trying to be guardians over the believers. "So today those who
have faith are laughing at non-believers." They are not smiling;
they are laughing out loud. "On their couches, gazing in wonder"
Allah says. "Have the non-believers been rewarded for what they did?"
Allah says. Abide by the commandments in the Qur'an. Do not follow
the wrong things. Do not make wrong judgments in the name of Allah.
Look. I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed satan. Allah says,
" Who could do greater wrong than someone who invents lies against
Allah or denies His Signs? Evildoers are certainly not successful.
" There is a verse: "Who could do greater wrong than someone who
invents lies against Allah… " (Surah Yunus, 17) Almighty Allah says,
"Do not say about what your lying tongues describe" , this is very
meaningful. Allah says, "Do not say about what your lying tongues
describe: 'This is halal and this is haram.'" (Surat an-Nahl, 116).
What do you say? You are trying to explain to Muslims a commandment
that is not in the Qur'an as the commandment of Allah, and you
invite Muslims to follow your lead. Allah is surely beyond that, but
you are forging a new Qur'an, a new book, a new commandment, a new
way. Allah is truly beyond that. You consider the commandments of
Allah, the Holy Qur'an, as somehow insufficient. (Allah and the
Qur'an are surely beyond that). No way. Allah says that making
additions to the religion is illegal (haram). (Adnan Oktar,
February 2 nd , 2013: A9 TV)
Among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues so
that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book.
They say, 'It is from Allah,' but it is not from Allah. They tell a
lie against Allah and they know it. (Surah Al 'İmran, 78)

Story - Moustachio & Ring Road***s lo ...
It was love at first site, we met on an online chatsite. We both
declared our love, you know and the rest of it. This was five years
ago, and I still love her. We've both had other relationships and both
kept running back to one another because we felt the love all the
time, I love her and she loves me yet we hide it cos of the breakups
we've had. I hurt her, shehurt me. We lost one another for three
months, almost and then she came back in my life. She is still with
ginger waldo and I found someone because I genuinely thought I lost
her forever. I declared my love...eventually and she did after some
hiccups along the way of making me jealous etc. It worked, I was like
putty to her, but I held back a little, not wanting to go through that
heartbreak again and I came clean about it. I mean I did everything
for her, moved to another country and sacrificed a lot! She knows this
and says she appreciates it and I guess I believe her. Anyway I told
her I want her back and that she needs to step up and commit to me
properly, no more half assing it. We kept talking the whole of last
week and then it stopped on Monday because I was scared after a bit of
online intimacy. In all honesty it was amazing, but immediately I
thought is it just sexual or are we going to make this happen?! I
still was weird the next day and then on Monday I was kidding and
accidentally pissed her off. Not great Iknow but she asked for space
and I gave it. I'm beginning to feel she didn't want me to begin with.
She said I did what he usually does - freak out, and I told her I
neverdenied it at all and that I am sorry blah blah blah and the times
she behaved this way like thesoldier I am I marched onand took it in
my stride and dealt with her moodswings. Did I deal with I a lot -
hell yes I did!But I know we are two different individuals but love is
love and I lost all that negativity on Monday but I pissed her off too
much. I really really do love her so much, I would sacrifice my life
for her in a millisecond! She knows this but apparently doesn't feel
it since I was scared of her leaving again. I proved my love so many
times by dumping my gfs and choosing her each and every time.
I know she comes on here, wel I hope it's this site, if not ill keep
posting until she reads it.
Baby, walahi I lve you so much, you took my heart the moment I saw
your picture of you holding a banana as a gun, or the first time I saw
you on cam and you were studying saying:"Chapter2, chapter 4"
obviously I cracked up but you looked hot. I loveyour smile or the
crazy faces you pull, so baby let's admit...there are lots. I love
everything there is about you, I know I get annoyed at your moods but
baby I have dealt with them for five yrs so relax, I just want to hold
you in my arms and give you my special baby kisses on your forehead
and make you mine forever, 24/7 every single day. I proposed once, I
will do it again and again until I'm yours, and you are mine and we
make our family once and for all like we discussed it! Now baby please
give me a smile and get your ass back to me cos in my arms is where
you belong, you're already in my heart, you never left. Iknow what
you're thinking so stop! We both blocked it and are guilty of that.
Think of this, if I didn't I would never have cried all thosetimes
last week, I never would have become annoyed and passionate about how
we kept breaking up. I care, love, want, need, miss you baby. You know
it! I love you my Carmen! Your Shane.
Btw, we are both women. Not that it matters, but yeah!

obviously I cracked up but you looked hot.
A True Love Story
Many persons mix the other things with the true love, like, if they
are just attracted to anybody or if they hve a girlfrnd or boyfrnd. .
.with whom they go out for fun or a date. . .they think that"Arre yaar
! I love him/hera lot . . Truely. But dats not a true love.
I am a true lover. According to me a true love is like. .. U luv a
person n u can never spare him/her. U cant seeor even imagine that
gal/guy with anyone else. U care for ur luv truely, if ur family is
against ur luver, then also u dont leave him/her. If anybody says
sumthng wrong bout ur luv, u juss stand to take ur luvers side or
sumtimes to fight.
I m Muskaan, 18 years old, a cute n sweet gal who luvs his guy madly n truely.
I met him when i was juss10years old and he was 13. I was in std. 5th
and he was in 8th. He was living in his naani's homefrm his childhood.
One day, when i reached ma tution, i went inside, he was sitting
there. I didnt know him. Ma teacher introduced him to me. Hewas a new
student in ourschool. After the class, we used to play 2gether
everyday. We became gud frnds. He used to cum to ma home daily
forplaying with me.
One day, a group of frndscame to ma home, he was also there. We
started playing a game, the game was like.. Many names are written on
a paper and one persn has to answer that what he wil do with that
persn whos name is there. A frnd of mine started hiding the names, n
he was going on answering, he gave an answr dat i wil Kiss it, wat we
saw ? ma name was there. That was the first time when we felt somethng
for each other. We started luking to each other's eyes.
Everyday was going on very smothly. 1 year passed.
Now i was in std 6th and he was in std 9th. After he passed 9th, he
went. . I didnt know where n why ? He didnt gave evenhis numbr. Cozz
His behaviour was very childish, we were kids at that time, we didnt
knowwat is love . Bt he cud hve told me dat he is going.
After few days, i started missing him a lot. I used to cry daily. He
was juss liking me but he didnt know, i started luving him. I used to
cry n pray daily dat plz god, if i cud see him once. I wasnt having
his numbr or his adress. I told ma problm to one of ma frnd, she
brought me his numbr. I called in dat numbr, a lady told me dat he is
nt here.
One day, i went to search his home with ma sister. Igot it after
wandering 3hours. We met his maama's daughter, she told dat he is in
raipur with his parents, studying there n he wil nt cum here again(for
hisstudies). Its very shockingn unimaginative dat, a 12years gal is
searching the home of a persn to whom she luvs. We went,i was very
sad, i continued crying n praying for 6 months, if i cud see him once.
One day, in the evening, when i was standing out of ma home. Wat i saw
! I was surprised, i saw himmm. I started crying, god accepted my
prayer. He was with his frnds in his bicycle. He went again. Next day
i thoughtdat yesterday was the last day n he wil nt cum again. 1 year
passed. I was in std 7th. It took 1year to forget him.
When i reached std 9th, i changed ma school. One day, when i was in
the school bus, the bus when stopped at his stoppage, can u imagine !
I saw him, i.e. After 2 years he came back. I was surprised, totally
shocked. . I was thinking How can this b possible ? He came inside the
bus. I turnd back to see him, hewas also seeing me. I wasverry happpy.
He dint talk to me, i think he was afraid.
After few days, i started hating him cozz he told everybdy that he
luvs me.The boys started tauntingme with his name. He was a bad
influence on me. He started calling me,following me. Bt i wasnt ready
to talk to him. After6 mnths, i became his frnd. Bt i told dat u wont
tell anybdy that i talk to u. He agreed. After few mnths he proposed
me bti dint answr.
I reached std 10th. I wentto hostel. After passing std10th, when i
came back home, he calld me ntold dat he wasnt able to concentrate on
his studies. One day, we plannd to go out wid frnds as we were gud
frnds. We went out. We enjoyed. Dat was the firstday when we hugged n
kissed.
The very next day, when he calld me at night, i told him dat i luv u
too. He became very happy. I accepted him coz he doesnt drink or
smoke, hecared fr me, he never hurted me, he never complained, he
listened whenever i scolded him, he did everythng as per ma wish, he
waited 2years fr me.
Now , we are together, n i m verrrry lucky coz he luves me very much,
he didnt leave me at the time when his family toldhim to leave me,
when they bet him. He talks to me daily, his family doesnt know dat we
r together now also coz if they'll know dis than they'll take his cell
frm him n then how we'll talk. He is studying so he cant do anything
rite now. After studies, we r going to marry each other.
We r incomplete widout each othr. Isnt it a true love story. . .

PERSECUTIONS DONE TO MESSENGERS AND BELIEVERS
We sent Messengers before you among the disparate groups of previous
peoples. No Messenger came to themwithout their mocking him. (Qur'an,
15:10-11)
And if you deny it, nations before you also denied the truth. The
Messenger is only responsible for clear transmission. (Qur'an, 29:18)
When those who do not believe were plotting against you to imprison
you or to kill you or to expel you: they planned and God planned, but
God is the Best of Planners. (Qur'an, 8:30)
When the believers saw the Confederates they said: "This is what God
and His Messenger promised us. God and HisMessenger told us the
truth." It only increased them in faith and in submission. (Qur'an,
33:22)
New Testament
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for
theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people insult
you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evilagainst you
because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in
Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were
before you. (Matthew 5:10-12)
Be on your guard againstmen; they will hand you over to the local
councils and flog you in their synagogues. On My account, you will be
brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the
Gentiles. (Matthew 10:17-18)
... They called the Apostles in and had themflogged. Then they ordered
them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. The Apostles
left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of
suffering disgrace for thename [of Jesus]. Day afterday, in the temple
courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and
proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ. (Acts 5:40-42)
Old Testament
"Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tents of the wicked
will be no more." (Job 8:22)
THE REWARD OF THOSE WHO MIGRATE FOR GOD'S SAKE
As for those who migrate for God's sake after being wronged, We shall
give them goodlodging in this world, and the reward of the Hereafter
is greater still, if they only knew. (Qur'an, 16:41)
Those who believe and have migrated and striven in the Way of God, and
those who have given refuge and help, they are the true believers.
They will have forgiveness and generous provision. (Qur'an, 8:74)
Their Lord responds to them: "I will not let the deeds of any doer
among you go to waste, male or female-you are both the same in that
respect. Those who migrated and were driven from their homes, and
suffered harm in My Way and fought and were killed, I will erase their
bad actions from them and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing
under them, as areward from God. The best of all rewards is with God."
(Qur'an, 3:195)
New Testament
"I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or
brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me
and the Gospel will fail toreceive a hundred times as much in this
present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and
fields-and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal
life. (Mark 10:29-30)
All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you
will be counted worthy of thekingdom of God, for which you are
suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble
you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us aswell... (2
Thessalonians 1:5-7)
BELIEVERS ARE FEW IN NUMBER
But most people, for all your eagerness, are not believers. (Qur'an, 12:103)
Alif Lam Mim Ra. Those are the Signs of the Book. And what has been

believe. (Qur'an, 13:1)
If you obeyed most of those on Earth, they would misguide you from
God's Way. They follow nothing but conjecture. They are only guessing.
(Qur'an, 6:116)

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is
theroad that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a
few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will
be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. (Obadiah
1:15)
WORLDLY WEALTH WILL NOT BENEFIT PEOPLE IN THE HEREAFTER
As for those who do not believe, their wealth andchildren will not
help them against God in any way. They are fuel for the Fire. (Qur'an,
3:10)
Old Testament
Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the
day of the Lord's wrath. (Zephaniah 1:18)
THE APPOINTED TIME
If God were to punish people for their wrong actions, not a single
creature would be left upon Earth, but He defers them till a
predetermined time. When their specified time arrives, they
cannotdelay it for a single hour nor can they bring it forward.
(Qur'an, 16:61)
Your Lord is the Ever-Forgiving, the Possessor of Mercy. If He had
taken them to task for what they have earned, He would have hastened
their punishment. Instead, they have a promised appointment and they
will not find any refuge from it. (Qur'an, 18:58)
New Testament
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand
slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but
everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

SOME NATIONS' ENVYING THE PROPHET
"Has the Reminder been sent down to him out of all of us?" They are in
doubt about My Reminder. They have yet to taste My punishment.
(Qur'an, 38:8)
Their Prophet said to them: "God has appointed Saul to be your king."
They said:"How can he have kingship over us when we have much more
right to kingship than hedoes? He has not even got much wealth!" He
said: "God has chosen him over you and favored him greatly in
knowledge and physical strength. God gives kingship to anyone He
wills. God is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing." (Qur'an, 2:247)
They say, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down to one of the great men
of the two cities?" (Qur'an, 43:31)
New Testament
When the Sabbath came, he [Jesus] began to teachin the synagogue, and
many who heard him were amazed. "Where did this man get these things?"
they asked."What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even
does miracles! Is this not the carpenter? Is this not Mary's son and
the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon? Are his sisters
nothere with us?" And they took offense at him. (Mark 6:2-3)
SOME NATIONS' DEMANDING MIRACLES
Those who do not believe say [to Mohammed]: "If only a Sign could be
sent downto him from his Lord!" You are only a warner. Every people
has a guide. (Qur'an, 13:7)
They say: "We will not believe you until you make a spring gush out
from the ground for us; or have a garden of dates and grapes that you
make rivers come pouring through; or make the sky, as you claim, fall
down on us in lumps; or bring God and the angels here as a guarantee;
or possess a house built out of gleaming gold; or ascend up into
Heaven-and even then we will not believe in your ascent unless you
bring us down a book to read!" Say: "Glory be to my Lord! Am I
anything but a human messenger?" (Qur'an, 17:90-93)
New Testament
"Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders," Jesus told
him,"you will never believe." (John 4:48)
So they asked him: "Whatmiraculous sign, then, will you give that we
may see it and believe you? What will you do?" (John 6:30)
PROPHETS ACCUSED OF BEING POSSESSED
Equally, no Messenger came to those before them without their saying:
"A magician or a madman!" Did they bequeath this to each other?
Indeed, they are an unbridled people. (Qur'an, 51:52-53)
New Testament
When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him
[Jesus], for they said: "He is out of his mind." And the teachers of
the law who came down from Jerusalem said: "He is possessed by
Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons." (Mark
3:21-22)
PROPHETS DO NOT SPEAK FROM WHIM
Your companion is not misguided or misled; nordoes he speak from whim.
It is nothing but Revelation revealed, taught him by One immensely
strong. (Qur'an, 53:2-5)
...[Khidr said,] I did not do it of my own volition… (Qur'an, 18:82)
New Testament
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment
isjust, for I seek not to please myself but Him Who sent me. (John
5:30)
And we have the word ofthe prophets made more certain, and you will do
well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place,
until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above
all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by
the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in
the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by
the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:19-21)
Old Testament
I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers;
I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I
command him. (Deuteronomy 18:18)
THE IMPERMANENCE OF THIS LIFE
The life of this world is nothing but a game and a diversion. The
abode of the Hereafter-that is truly Life, if they only knew. (Qur'an,
29:64)
Old Testament
We are aliens and strangers in your sight, as were all our
forefathers. Our days on Earth are like a shadow, and there is no
abiding. (1 Chronicles 29:15)
THE UNBELIEVERS WILL BE RESURRECTED BLIND
Those who are blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter and
even further off the Path. (Qur'an, 17:72-73)
But if anyone turns awayfrom My reminder, his life will be a dark and
narrow one, and on the Day of Rising We will gather him blind.
(Qur'an, 20:124)
Old Testament
I will bring distress on the people and they will walk like blind men,
because they have sinned against the Lord. (Zephaniah 1:17)

Abandonment - I
The Muslim society is a harmonious one where love and unity prevail.
The Sharee'ah encourages everything that strengthens the spirit of
brotherhood among members of this society and prohibits anything that
may negatively affect this spirit. One of the negative morals that has
been prohibited by Sharee'ah is abandonment.
The Meaning of Abandonment
Abandonment means forsaking others, and thismay occur in different ways:
- Physically, as mentionedin the Quranic verse where Allaah The
Almighty Says )what means(:}forsake them in bed{]Quran 4:34[
- Morally, by the tongue and heart, as mentioned in the Quranic verse
where Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}And the Messenger has
said, "O Lord! Surely, my people have taken to themselvesthis Quran as
a thing abandoned."{]Quran 25:30[
- Physically and morally, as meant in the Quranic verse )which
means(:}And ]endure[ patiently what they ]the disbelievers[ say, and
abandon them with gracious abandonment.{]Quran 73:10[, or as meant in
the Quranic verse )what means(:}And uncleanliness abandon.{]Quran
74:5[
Types of Abandonment and Its Islamic Ruling
In principle, abandoning Muslims is prohibited; however, in some cases
itis permissible. The ruling of abandonment varies according to the
case of the abandoned person.
Abandoning the Wife
Abandoning the wife is permissible in certain cases if she becomes
arrogant or is feared to become so. Allaah The Almighty Says )what
means(:}But those]wives[ from whom you fear arrogance - ]first[ advise
them; ]then if theypersist[, forsake them in bed.{]Quran 4:34[ The
wife is only to be abandoned in bed. This issupported by a Hadeeth on
the authority of Mu'aawiyah ibn Al-Qushayriwhere he said: "I said, 'O
Messengerof Allaah, what right can any wife demand of her husband?' He
replied:'You should feed her when you eat and clothe her when you
clothe yourself. You should not strike her on the face, and do not
revile her or abandon her except in bed.'" ]Abu Daawood, Al-Albaani -
Hasan Saheeh[
Abandoning the wife in bed means not having sexual intercourse with
her and sleeping with one's back turned to her. According to Islamic
scholars, this abandonment should notexceed one month as mentioned by
Al-Qurtubi. Nevertheless, it should be preceded by advising one's wife
and reminding her of Allaah The Almighty. Also, one should clear up
any doubts with his wife leniently and gently. Furthermore, he should
supplicate for her earnestly repeating the supplication that is
mentioned in the verse)what means(:}And those who say, "Our Lord,
grantus from among our wivesand offspring comfort to our eyes and make
us an example for the righteous."{]Quran 25:74[
Abandoning One's Fellow Muslims
Abandoning one's fellow Muslims is a grave major sin if it lasts for
more than three days, and if it is not for a Sharee'ah-approved reason
as this leads to the severing of relations as well as harm and
corruption. This is supported by many Hadeeths like that one onthe
authority of Abu Ayyoob Al-Ansaariwhere the Prophetsaid:"It is not
lawful for aMuslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights
]such that[, when they meet, they turn their backs to each other - and
the better of the two is the one who isthe first to greet the
other."]Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrahthe Prophetsaid:"It is
not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his Muslim brother for more than
three days; and whoever does so andthen dies, will enter Hell."]Abu
Daawood, Al-Albaani - Hasan[
In a Hadeeth on the authority of 'Aa'ishahthe Prophetsaid:"It is not
right for a Muslim to abandon another Muslim for more than three
days. Then if he meets him andgives three salutations, receiving during
that time no response, the other bears his sin."]Abu Daawood,
Al-Albaani - Hasan[
In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu KhiraashAs-Sulamihe said that he
heard the Prophetsay:"Abandoning one's brother for a year is like
shedding his blood."]AbuDaawood, Al-Albaani - Saheeh[
Hence, it is prohibited fora Muslim to abandon his Muslim brother for
more than three days because this leads to social disintegration.
However, there are exceptions to this rule. Abandonment ispermissible
if it would rectify religiously the abandoned person or theone who
abandons; otherwise, it is prohibited. The Prophetand the honorable
Companions abandoned the three who did not join them in Jihaad, for
fifty days until revelation descended and affirmed that their
repentance had been accepted. Allaah The Almighty Says)what
means(:}And ]He also forgave[ the three who were left behind]and
regretted their error[ to the point that the earth closed in on them
in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were
certain that there isno refuge from Allaah The Almighty except in Him.
Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allaah The
Almighty is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.{]Quran 9:118[
Abandoning One's Kindred
Abandoning one's kindred is a grave major sin, even if it is for less
than three days, as this implies severing ties of kinship. The
Prophetsaid:"The tie of kinship issuspended from the Throne, and says,
'Whoever maintains me, Allaah will maintain relations with him, but
whosoever severs me, Allaah will sever relationswith him."Also, Allaah
The Almighty commanded us to maintain ties of kinship Saying )what
means(:}And fear Allaah, through whom you ask one another, and the
wombs.{]Quran 4:1[
However, the person who maintains the ties ofkinship is not the one
who does so because his relatives do so with him. One can maintain his
ties of kinship in different ways like giving gifts, visiting, and
sending greetings and letters. Moreover, one can maintain ties of
kinship with his non-Muslim relatives by giving moneyand the like, as
stated by Imaam Al-Khattaabiand others. If one finds any of these ways
difficult for him, then he should adopt another way or the ways that
he is able to since Allaah TheAlmighty does not chargea soul except
with that which is within its capacity. When some people were about to
sever ties of kinship with their non-Muslim relatives because they did
not adopt Islam, Allaah The Almighty revealed )what means(:}Not upon
you, ]O Muhammad[, is]responsibility for[ their guidance, but Allaah
guides whom He wills. And whatever good you]believers[ spend is for
yourselves, and you do not spend except seekingthe countenance of
Allaah. And whatever youspend of good - it will be fully repaid to
you, and you will not be wronged.{]Quran 2:272[
Moreover, Allaah The Almighty commands us tobe dutiful to our parents
even if they are disbelievers for He Says)what means(:}But if they
endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no
knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in ]this[ world with
appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me
]in repentance[. Then to Me will be your return, and I will Inform you
about what you used to do.{]Quran 31:15[
Imaam Ath-Thahabiconsidered severing ties of kinship as a grave major
sin, regardless of the reason why it is done.

may negatively affect this spirit. One of the negative morals that has

Fiqh - Abandonment - II
Abandoning the Disobedient and Heretical Innovators
Abandoning the disobedient and disbelieving innovators is required at
all times unless they repent and return to the truth. Whoever reveres
an innovator in religion would thereby be contributing to the
destruction of the religion. When a man of those who denied the divine
decree entered a place where IbnSeereenwas sitting and wanted to speak
about his deviant beliefs, Ibn Seereenblocked his ears with his
fingers and said to him, "Either you leaveor I leave."
Ibn Muflihsaid, "Publicly abandoning whoever commits sins, which are
related to words, deeds or beliefs, is permissible."
Ibn Tameemsaid, "Abandoning disbelieving innovators, disbelievers,
immoral people and those who commit sins publicly, in addition to
abstaining from greeting them is a communal obligation, but it is
disliked for every single person todo this. Moreover, no one should
greet an immoral person who commits sins publicly or an innovator in
religion who openly invites to his innovations. On the other hand, the
Muslim who doesnot commit sins publicly should not be abandoned for
more than three days. Abandoning such people was made lawful to be a
type of treatment rather than a means of destruction; consequently, it
should remain within the proper limits so as notto destroy the person
who was abandoned."
The aim of the Sharee'ah is to maintain people's interests. Also,
there are other factors that must be taken into consideration like how
'strange' Islam is at any given time, rampant ignorance, and the
necessity of adopting leniency and kindness when calling people to
Allaah The Almighty or when refuting any malicious allegation. This is
necessary so that those who perished through disbelief wouldperish
upon evidence, and those who lived in faith would live upon evidence.
'Umar, Abu Ad-Dardaa'and Ibraaheem An-Nakha'iwere of the opinion that
one should not abandon his Muslim brother immediately if he committed
a sin, because a person may sin sometimes but then return to Allaah
The Almighty at other times. This is the best opinion that can accord
with our current conditions, especially when we cannot force people to
be good, not to mention the amount of rampant ignorance that exists in
our time.
Hence, if we find that abandoningsomeone causes him to be more evil,
then it is better to maintain relations with him along with calling
him to Allaah The Almighty.
Abandoning the Husband
It is unlawful for a woman who believes in Allaah The Almighty and in
the Last Day to abandon her husband or refuse to go to him if he wants
to have sexual intercourse with her. In a Hadeeth on the authority of
Abu Hurayrahthe Prophetsaid:"A woman who abandons her husband's bed is
cursed by the angels of Allaah The Exalted."This Hadeeth was narrated
by Ahmad and Al-Bukhaariandthe narration of Muslimhas the
wording:"When a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses and he
]the husband[ spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her
until morning."In another narration, itis mentioned:"… until she
returns."
It is improper for a wife to use her husband's faults as an excuseto
justify her negligence as there is no connection between the two
matters. She should discharge her obligations and askher rights from
Allaah The Almighty.
The One who Starts by Greeting the Other is the Better One
If abandoning one's Muslim brother is forbidden in principle, then
three days are enough to ridoneself of any negative feelings. The
Sharee'ah considers that the better of two Muslims who are not on good
terms is the one who starts by greeting the other. This meaning was
practically interpreted by the righteous, who were keen on reconciling
people to each other. Abu Al-Hasan Al-Madaa'inisaid, "Al-Hasan and
Al-Husayn, the sonsof 'Ali ibn Abi Taalibdisagreed over something and
abandoned each other. Three days later, Al-Hasancame to his brother
Al-Husaynwhile the latter was sitting and kissed his head. When
Al-Hasansat, Al-Husayn, may Allaah be pleased to him, said to him, 'I
did not come to you first because you aremore deserving of this merit
thanme. Therefore, I detested having what you are worthier of.'"
The Harm of Abandoning one's Fellow Muslims
It is known that abandoning one's Muslim brothers without a
Sharee'ah-approved reason causes a great deal of harm to the society
and the individual. Abandoning Muslims is detestable and incurs the
anger of Allaah The Exalted against those who abandon each other. It
also delays the forgiveness of Allaah The Almighty and is a trap of
the devil through which he induces his followers to drive them to
Hell. Mujaahidsaid, "The good deeds of the uncircumcised person and
the one who abandons his Muslim brother unjustly are suspended until
the former is circumcised and the latter repents."
In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrahthe Prophetsaid:"The
doors of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays. Every slave who
does not associate anything with Allaah The Almighty will be granted
pardon except the person in whose heart there is rancor against his
brother. It would be said: 'Delay their pardon until they are
reconciled.'"
In general, one must abandon sins, disobedience of Allaah The Almighty
and everything that might lead to them. Also, and more specifically,
he must also beware of abandoning the Quran and other acts of worship
and obedience to Allaah The Almightywho Says )what means(:}And the
Messenger has said, "O Lord! Surely, my people have taken to
themselves this Quran as a thing abandoned."{]Quran 25:30[
Fiqh - Artificial Insemination
Allaah The Almighty Says)what means(:}And Allaah has made for you from
yourselves mates and hasmade for you from your mates sons and
grandchildren and has provided for you from the good things. Then in
falsehood do they believe and in the favor of Allaah they
disbelieve?{]Quran 16:72[. Allaah The Exalted also Says)what
means(:}He gives towhom He wills female]children[, and He gives to
whom He wills males. Or He makes them ]both[ males and females, and He
renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He isKnowing and
Competent.{]Quran 42: 49-50[.
In addition, the Prophetsaid:"Marry women who are loving and very
prolific, so I will outnumber all other nations through you."]Abu
Daawood and An Nasaa'i[
Continuous reproduction is of a great importance in the life of man in
order for him to preservehis existence and perform his mission of
constructing the earth. Nevertheless, one of the spouses – or both -
may suffer infertility which deprives them from having righteous
offspring.
Science discovered artificial insemination as a means to treat
infertility in the husband or wife and in the case ofa delay in
pregnancy in a number of cases, including:
- The blockage of the fallopian tubes extended to the two sides of the
uterus or the absence thereof.
- The presence of antibodies in the secretions of the cervix and vagina.
- Low sperm count in men.
Forms of Artificial insemination:
There are various forms of artificial insemination. However, they are
divided into: permissible according to the restrictions set forth by
Islam or impermissible for contradicting the principles of the Islamic
Sharee'ah. These forms can be presented as follows:
The Permissible Forms Include:
- Taking the sperm specimen from the husband and injecting it into the
uterus of his wife by way of internal fertilization.
- Taking two samples; one from the semen of the husband and the other
from the ovum of the wife. They are fertilized externally in a test
tube. Then, the embryo is implemented in the uterus of the wife, the
owner of the ovum.
Impermissible forms Include:
- Inserting the semen of acertain male, who is known to the doctor but
unknown to the married couple, into the uterus ofa woman. This is
after having taken her consentand the consent of her husband provided
that the donor shall not knowto whom his semen will be given.
- Collecting the semen of many men and donating them to the sperm
bank. Then, it is used to fertilizethe woman who
requestsfertilization.
- External fertilization in a test tube between the sperm of a man and
an ovum of a woman who isnot his wife and this manand woman are
referred to as donors. Then the embryo is implemented in the womb of
another married woman who desires to give birth. This applies in cases
of barrenwives as a result of problems in the ovaries but a healthy
uterus as well as in case of barren husbands.
Regulations of Artificial Insemination:
Jurists have set forth a number of regulations that protect the
individuals, the family and society, such as:
- Taking extremely intense precautions in assuring that the ovum is
not confused with other fertilized ova.
- The husband or someone he trusts shall attend the process of
insemination from the point of taking the spermand the egg until
inserting them into the woman's uterus.
- Recording the data of the process in full in order to avoid any
circumstances that may lead to intermixing of lineages.
- Affirmation of the professional and ethical integrity of the
physicians and medical staff who perform the process of insemination.
The issue, from the very beginning, should be enveloped by faith in
fate and divine decree as Allaah The Exalted Says)what means(:}He
gives to whom He wills female]children[, and He gives to whom He wills
males. Or He makes them ]both[ males and females, and He renders whom
He wills barren. Indeed, He isKnowing and Competent.{]Quran 42:
