*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Fathwa - My Future sister-in-law has removed her Hijab

Question:
I am a practising muslimah who comes from a conservative and educated
practising sunni muslim family (Mashallah). My sisters and I all
observe hijaab and we all try tobetter ourselves as muslims each day.
Last year while at university my brother met a muslimah and they
developed an understanding - through this understanding this Muslimah
started to observe hijaab and also started to pray salah. By the tail
end oflast year they got engaged with my father's blessing.
Earlier this year I heard rumours that my brothers fiancee had removed
her hijaab. Naturally I didn't want to believe it because I hadn't
seen it for myself. Eventually I saw it for myself. As a result other
girls at university started to question myself and my sisters about
the actions of my brother'sfiancee. Given the situation, there is not
a lot we can say since she refuses to speak tous about it.
At this moment in time I am absolutely furious about what this girl
has done. She has not only hurt my brother's feelings but she didn't
stop to thinkwhat consequences her actions would have on others around
her (Firstly displeasingAllah (swt) by withdrawing from a compulsory
Fard and secondly hurting my family's feelings - especially my
parents). At this moment in time I have lost all respect for this girl.
I feel she is unsuitable for my brother and I feel that she would
never fit into our family. We are inclinedto believe that her decision
to wear hijaab in the first instance was to merelygain approval for
engagement, following which she removed it, hence deceiving us - may I
stress that we made absolutely no indication that we required her to
wear the hijaab in the first place but naturally we were very pleased
with her decision to do so and built respectfor her. For her to
voluntarily take on a fard and then withdraw from it is wrong.
The question I would like to raise is therefore - as future in-laws to
this muslimah, are my parents entitled to question her actions and
request that she re-adorn her hijaab before marriage?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Dear Sister,
I pray this message finds you and your family well.
If your parents want to talk to your brother's fiancee about her
hijab, they need to do so with the utmost caution and discretion. I
can understand how everyone has been upsetby this, but there are
several points to keep in mind:
1. Your brother met this young woman and became attracted to her even
though she did not cover. It's possible that her motivation in
covering may have been to please your brother. The problem with
speculating about her motivation is, firstly, she is not here to tell
us. Secondly, only Allah Ta'ala knows what is in her heart. And,
thirdly, we need to learn to deal with people as we find them, and not
how we want them to be. If your brother wanted someone who was strong
about her hijab, then choosing this particular sister may not have
been ideal to beginwith.
2. The decision to wear hijab may be one of the most important
decisionsa woman ever makes. Consequently, this decision should come
about as a result of reflection, remembrance of Allah, and one's own
personal volition. Unfortunately, when sisters cover under pressure,
the desire to please Allah is submerged under the desire to make
everyone else happy. The bottom line is: we don't cover to please
people. We cover to please Allah.
3. Your parents can certainly discuss their expectations with this
young woman. But this brings me back to my original point: we don't
bring people into our lives, determined to change them. Change has to
be from within. It is very possible that this sister may decide to
wear hijab again. And it's also quite possible that she may never do
so. All you can do is pray for her, wish the best for her, and
continue to encourage her. Being judgmental or harsh will not help.
4. Finally, this is really a decision your brother will have to make.
Is he willing to have a wife that is uncovered? Men are responsible
for the wellbeing of their families, and part of this includes making
sure that everyone is carryingout his or her religious duty. This will
have to be approached with sensitivity.
I pray that Allah Ta'ala gives this young woman the conviction to do
what is most pleasing to Him.
And Allah knows best.

Fathwa - Non-muslim half brothers

Question:
I reverted a year ago, alhumdulillah, but am not sure as to what is
appropriate with my non muslim family members. Do I have to wear hijab
in front of my half brothers (my father's sons from his previous
marraige)? What about my non muslim uncles??
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Dear Sister,
I pray this message reaches you in strong iman and good spirits.
Congratulations for entering Islam!
You are not required to wear hijab in front of your non-Muslim
relatives provided that:
1. They are unmarriageable kin, such as your father, grandfather,
brothers, half-brothers, nephews, and uncles (by blood).
2. And they are morally upright.
However, you are required to observe hijab around cousins, whether
they're related to you through blood or marriage. And hijab is also a
requirement around uncles who are related by marriage, ie, the
husbands of your aunts.
And Allah knows best.

Fathwa - Hijab: problems can you help me

Question:
I was happy to find outyour site because it's been 2 years that I have
a big problem. Indeed, two years ago I decided to wear the hidjab.
First, I have to explain you where I am from. I live in the North of
France, I am originally from Algeriaand I am a Sunni muslim. I'm 20
and I'ma student in university. When I left high school, I began
reading more and more about Islam, being regular about my prayers,
fearing Allah subhanu wata3ala and doing my best to get closer to HIM.
I made the decision to wear the hidjab. My parents pray. They don't
try to learn more science about Islam and they don't read the Quran.
My mother who is 59 doesn't wear al hidjab. When I wanted to put the
veil, they got furious, my father became high-boiling, he had a fit of
rage andthere wasn't any dialogue possible withhim. He told me if you
wear the veil you have to leave my home. First, I ignored their
remarks and I left the veil on my head and then he took it off from my
hair. I cried a lot, I keep on praying Allah subhanu wata3ala every
day during all the prayers. I study 30 minutes by train far from home.
I come back to home every day. During the last months, I began wearing
it in the train just after leaving home. I wear it during all the day
but my parents don't know anything about it. I want to know what
should I do about that?Because I'm fed up with having this double
life. Anyway al hamdulilah, I put my trust in Allah "Wa tawakal 3ala
Allah wa kafa billahi wa kilah" Sourate al ahzab
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Dear Sister,
May Allah Ta'ala reward you for making this decision under very
challenging circumstances. Remember that when you take a step toward
Allah the Exalted, He reciprocates many times over.
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who
said that the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, said: Allah
theAlmighty said:
I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of
Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to
Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention
of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an
arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to
Me walking, I go to him at speed.
Hadith Qudsi 15. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim,
at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah).
Obedience to parents is not unconditional. Therefore, if our parents
ask us to do something that contravenes Sacred Law, then we are
obliged to disobey them.
Obedience to Allah Ta'ala, however, is unconditional. That is why we
are Muslims, thatis, we fully surrender to Allah the Exalted. As a
Muslim woman, one of your religious responsibilities is to wear hijab.
This is something between you and your Lord, and your parents cannot
interfere. Please remain true to your convictions, but also remain a
good daughter to your parentsby emphasizing your love and respect for
them. Try to respond positively when they raise objections.
I pray that Allah Ta'ala opens their hearts and brings them around.
And Allah knows best.

Ramadan Articles - A program for the Blessed Month of Ramadan

Question:
In the Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Ever Merciful
Praise be to Allaah and may His blessings and peace be upon His Messenger.
Dear brothers, I greet youwith the greeting of Islam: Assalaamu Alaykum,
Allaah The Almighty Says)what means(: }The month of Ramadan ]is that[
in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear
proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights ]the new moon of[
the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on ajourney - then
an equal number of other days. Allaah Intends for you ease and does
not intendfor you hardship and]wants[ for you to complete the period
and to glorify Allaah for that]to[ which He has guided you; and
perhaps you will be grateful.{ ]Quran 2: 185[
I am a member of a Da'wah committee at a Masjid. I have been entrusted
with setting a program for how to spend the last ten nights of Ramadan
in worship. The night starts from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am. I want my
Muslim brothersto benefit me with their suggestions and thus I
consulted this blessed website. I ask Allaah The Almighty to help us
devote all our deeds to His sake and to accept them.
I want to make two tables, one for the even-numbered days: 22,24, 26,
28 and another for the odd-numbered days: 21, 23, 25 and 29.
A question may arise: Why should there be twotables? The answer is
that the efforts in worship during the odd nights should be greater. It
was reported from the Messenger of Allaahthat the Night of Al-Qadr is
sought during the odd nights. Another question may arise: Why is the
27th night of Ramadan not included within the odd-numbered nights? The
answer is that we want a specific program for this night. It was
reported that it is most likely the Night of Al-Qadr.
Please advise and do not deprive yourselves of thisgreat reward,
especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of mercy,
forgiveness, admittance to Paradise, and salvation from Hell.
May Allaah bless and reward you!
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Ever Merciful
Dear brother, Assalaamu 'Alaykum,
For the righteous deeds to be accepted by Allaah The Almighty, the
most important two conditions are dedicating these deeds solely for
the sake of Allaah The Almighty and keenness to follow the example and
guidance ofthe Prophet. This means that the accepted righteous deed is
that which is dedicated to Allaah The Almighty and is done according
to the guidance of the Prophet. This is the way the righteous
predecessors understood the verse in which Allaah The Almighty Says
)what means(: }]He[ who created death and life to test you ]as to[
which of you is best in deed.{ ]Quran 67: 2[ Allaah The Almighty did
not say, "to test you ]as to[ which of you is more in deed." What
counts here is the quality of deeds. So, little deeds will be enough
for you provided that you offer them with full sincerity to Allaah The
Almighty. The best deed is that which is the most sincereand the
soundest. On the other hand, when one is able to do many righteous
deeds while fulfilling sincerity and compliance with the guidance of
the Prophetthis is actually a great and praiseworthy achievement.
There is no doubt that a person gets more active when he is with
others who are active. Therefore, the wise Sharee'ah )Islamic
legislation( made the religious obligations communal. When these
religious obligations are communal, they are performed easily. Prayer
is performed in congregation, one performs Hajj along with his Muslim
brothers, all the people fast together, one is strengthened by his
brothers when performing Jihaad, etc. Thus, we hope that your benefit
will be great through this congregation. You should focus on teaching
sincerity, being mindful of Allaah The Almighty as well as other
topics on self-purification.
We hope that the program dedicates some moments to seclusion when each
one stays alone in order to reckon himself and renew his repentance.
We also hope that you often repeat the Hadeeth)narration( in which the
Prophetsays:"Intentions are what count in deeds." This Hadeeth is a
criterion for the inner deeds. Also, there is the Hadeeth in which the
Prophetsaid: "Whoever does something )of worship( away from our
matter, it will be rejected." The lastHadeeth is a criterion for
apparent deeds.
We hope that the program includes the following:
1- Lessons and lecturesfor scholars. That is because knowledge
precedes action and one scholar is harder for the devil than a
thousand devoted worshippers.
2- Keenness to perform the obligatory acts of worship and taking
care of that. Allaah The Almighty does not accept the voluntary act of
worship unless the obligatory one is done.
3- Moderation in worship, for Allaah The Almighty never gets
tired)of giving reward( but you will get tired )of excessive worship(.
Thus, the Prophetadvised us: "Perform such acts that you are capable
of doing."
4- Keeping some acts of obedience hidden as asecret between the
slave and his Lord.
5- Intensifying the act of seeking forgiveness, especially after
performing the righteousdeed. This is to avoid self-conceit.
6- Diversifying the actsof obedience: It is not necessary to
spend the whole night in prayer. Rather, these nights are allocated
for different types of righteous deeds.
7- Being acquainted with the degrees of deeds. The best thing
theProphetas well as the former Prophets, may Allaah exalt their
mention, said is: "La Ilaaha Illa Allaah )there is no god worthy of
worship except Allaah(," and the most beloved speech to Allaah
is,"Subaan Allaah wa bihamdih, subhaan Allaah Al-'Atheem)glorified is
Allaah and praise is due to Him, glorified is Allaah The Great(".
8- Keeping away from sins and acts of disobedience as well as
lowering the gaze. Giving up sins is easier than repenting.
I cannot conceal my happiness at your keenness, care, organization and
order and would like to welcome you to our website. We ask Allaah The
Almighty to benefit Islam and Muslims with you. May Allaah accept our
fast and Qiyaam.
May Allaah grant us success.

Ramadan Articles - What After Ramadan?

Ramadanis a level playing field wherein people compete with each other
in good deedsand benevolence. During this blessed month, souls are
trained in virtue and accustomed to dignity, they learn to disdain
vices, sins and acquire all good attributes.
Whoever witnesses this month without gaining any of its rewards is
indeed poor, and nothing cripples him other than negligence, laziness,
procrastination, and false hopes.
However, what is appalling is to see some of those who were guided to
do good deedsand take provisions from virtues during this monthhastily
destroying what they had built, and replacing good with evil. This is
a gross mistake and shameful act in the true sense of the word and no
remorse or apology will revoke it when you stand in front of your One
Lord.
Bishrwas asked about people who only become diligent during the month
ofRamadanand he said, "They are abominable people, because they only
knowAllaahThe Almighty during the month ofRamadan. The truly righteous
people are those who worshipAllaahThe Almighty diligently throughout
thewhole year."
Ash-Shibli, mayAllaahhave mercy upon him, was asked, "Which is
better:Sha'baanor Rajab?" His answer was, "Be a worshipper of Allaah
The Almighty rather than a worshipperofSha'baan."
'Aa'ishahwas asked, 'Did the Messenger of Allaahchoose some special
days )for fasting(?' She replied, 'No, but he used to be regular
)constant( )in his service of worshipping(.' The Prophetalso never
performed more than eleven Rak'ahs)units of prayer( whether
inRamadanor at any other time of the year.
We sincerely invite such people out of fear for them to reconsider
their lifestyle and to review themselves and think about their
condition before it is too late. We advise them not to allow
appearances, their strength, health and youth to deceive them. That is
because all of this is nothing but a mirage that one may see as water,
but once he reaches it, he finds nothing. Health will be followed by
sickness, youth will be followed byold age, and strength
willeventually turn into weakness.
So, wake up and pay attention! Life is short even if it seems long,
andhappiness will end no matter how long it lasts.
Such people should know that perseverance and adherence to the right
path as well as obedience to Allaah The Almighty is one of the
greatest signs of acceptance of one's gooddeeds. Allaah The Almighty
Says )what means(:}And worship your Lord until there comes to you the
certainty )death(.{]Quran15:99[
Consequently, the souls should remain adherent to the right and guided
path just as they were during the month ofRamadan. Guidance is not
confined to certain times and acts of worship, and obedience
toAllaahThe Almighty is not limited to the month ofRamadan.
Al-Hasan Al-Basrisaid, "Allaah has not set an end for the believer's
work other than death." Then he recited:}And worship your Lord until
there comes to you the certainty )death(.{]Quran 15:99[
Indeed,Ramadanhas ended but you still have several renewed seasons for
worship. The five daily prayers are among the highest and best good
deeds and prayer isthe first thing about which one would be asked on
the Day of Judgment when he stands in front ofAllaahThe Almighty.
If the fast ofRamadanhasended, then you have thevoluntary fasts and
occasions such as the six days ofShawwaal, Mondays and Thursdays, the
white days, the tenth day of Muharram, the Day of 'Arafah, and so on.
If the night prayer of Ramadan has ended, you should know that the
night prayer can be offered every night:}They used to sleep but little
of the night{]Quran 51:17[
If the time ofZakaat Al-Fitrhas ended, then there is the
obligatoryZakaahin addition to thecountless ways of giving voluntary
charity.
Dear Muslim brother, youshould know that one of the attributes of the
slaves ofAllaahThe Almighty is that they perform their good deeds
constantly, asAllaahThe Almighty Says)what means(:
*.}Those who are constant in their prayer{]Quran 70:23[
*.}And they who carefullymaintain their prayers -{]Quran 23:9[
If you aspire to know how to save yourself from this trap and how to
perform good deeds regularly, you have to do the following:
1- You must be sincerelyand strongly determined to do good deeds
constantly under all circumstances and conditions. This requires
keeping away from weakness and laziness. That is why the Prophet,,
used to seek refuge withAllaahThe Almighty from inability and
laziness, given their dire consequences. Hence, you should seek the
help ofAllaahThe Almighty and move ahead.
2- Moderation is very important, and you should never
overburdenyourself, as the Prophet,, said:"Do such deeds as you can do
easily, as Allaah will not get tired)of giving rewards( until you get
bored and tired)of performing religious deeds(."]Al-Bukhaari
andMuslim[
You should remember that there are blessings in perseverance. For
example, whoever reads aJuz')portion( of the Quran every day will
readthe whole Quran in one month, and whoever observes fast for three
days every month will be rewarded as if he had observed fast
throughoutthe whole year. Likewise,whoever observes
twelvevoluntaryRak'ahsevery day,AllaahThe Almighty will build a house
for himin Paradise, and so on.
3- You should know thatit is unacceptable for whoever observes a
good deed to abandon it.It was narrated that 'Abdullaah ibn 'Amr ibn
Al-'Aassaid, "The Messenger of Allaah,, said to me:'O 'Abdullaah! Do
not be like so-and-so; he used to get up at night )for voluntary
prayer( but abandoned itlater.'']Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
4- Dear brother, remember what our righteous predecessors used to
do. 'Aa'ishahsaid that whenever our beloved Prophet Muhammad,, missed
the night prayer because of illness or sleep, he would pray twelve
Rak'ahs the next day.]Muslim[
The Prophet,, also once missed 'Itikaaf)staying in seclusion( andhe
made up for it in Shawwaal. Abu Hurayrahsaid that the Messenger of
Allaah,, said to Bilaal,:"'O Bilaal, tell me about the most hopeful
act )i.e., one which you deem the most rewarding with Allaah( you have
done since you accepted Islam because I heard the sound of the steps
of your shoes in front of mein Paradise.' Bilaalsaid, 'I do not
consider any act more hopeful than that whenever I make ablution )or
take a bath( in any hour of the night or day, I would immediately
perform prayer for as long as was destined for me to
pray.''']Al-Bukhaari and Muslim[
However, the most amazing thing is what 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib,, used to
do in response tothe advice of the Prophet,, when he once visited him
and found him sleeping with his wife Faatimah,,)daughter of the
Prophet,(. 'Alisaid,"The Prophetplaced his leg between me and
Faatimahand taught us what to say when we go to bed, saying:'When you
go to your bed recitethirty-three times Subhanallaah )Glory be to
Allaah(, thirty-three times Alhamdulillaah )All praise is for Allaah(,
and forty-three times Allaah-u-Akbar )Allaah is The Greatest(.' 'Ali
added'By Allaah, I never left this practice for the rest of my life.'
A man asked him, 'Even on the night of the Battle of Siffeen?' He
said, 'Yes, I observed this even on the night of Siffeen.'"]Al-Haakim:
Saheeh[
If you contemplate over this narration, you will be amazed at the
keenness and persistenceon doing good deeds even at times of war and
bloodshed. None of thesedistracted him from implementing the advice of
the Prophet,, regarding what he should say upon going tobed. Such
stories and narrations should make you persist in doing good deeds and
attempting to imitate therighteous predecessors and following their
path.

Ramadan Articles - The Benefits Of Obedience, During and After Ramadan

People cannot remain exactly as they were during the blessed
monthofRamadan, in terms of their regularity and steadfastness in
performing certain acts of worship. On the other hand, they must not
stop doing good deeds completely and forsake all virtue just
becauseRamadanis over. It is injudicious to suddenly abandon
everything and stop performing all goods deeds. Therefore, one should
not abandon fasting,Qiyaam)optional night prayers(, recitation of the
Quran, supplication and so on. One needs to perform these deeds, even
if it is on a less regular basis. If a slave of Allaah The Almighty is
accustomed to performing certain acts of worship and is compelled to
stop doing them due to travel or sickness, then Allaah The Almighty
will continue to reward him for these deeds, even if he does not
perform them, because he used to perform them frequently. The Prophet,,
said:"If a slave becomes sick, Allaah says to the honorable recording
angels: `Record for my slave the same )good( deeds until I either take
his soul )i.e., cause him todie( or grant him health)i.e., cure him
from his sickness(."This indicates the benefit of constantly being
engaged in acts of obedience and worship.
Continuing to be upon obedience to Allaah The Almighty is a reason for
one to be granted a good end, as the Prophet,, said:"If Allaah wills
good for one of His slaves, He uses him."He was asked,"Howdoes He use
him?"He,, replied:"He )i.e., Allaah( enables him )i.e., the slave( to
perform a righteous deed before his death, and then takeshis soul
whilst he is in that state."Thus, we should ensure being in a state of
obedience and worship at all times. Moreover, the reward of being
virtuous is greater at times when most people are heedless, as well as
in harsh times. There is a great concept that we must always bearin
mind: worship must bethe essence of our lives, it is not an incidental
matter, or a temporary one that is limited or restricted to a certain
time or place.
Those who enteredRamadanupon disobedience and departed upon
disobedience did not get any benefit fromRamadanwhatsoever. This is a
serious and dangerous matter because when describingthe hypocrites,
Allaah TheAlmighty says )what means(:}"And when theycome to you, they
say: 'We believe.' But they have entered with disbelief ]in their
hearts[,and they have certainly left with it. And Allaah is most
knowing of what they were concealing."{]Quran 3: 61[
Commenting on this verse, Imaam Ibn Katheer, said,"The hypocrites
entered into the presence of the Prophetand heard what he hade to say,
yet, they left upon the same state of disbelief, so the admonition did
not yield any fruits with them."
Therefore, anyone who departs fromRamadanwithout having improved in
the least is the one being addressed in this verse. Those who begin
the month whilst on disobedience and return to it as soon as it ends,
or are even more disobedient afterwards, did not benefit from the
month; they did not repent and refrain from sinning, nor did they show
regret for their sins. It is as if the month was a temporary stage for
them, after which their evil lifestyles continued. The question here
is: did these people truly worship Allaah The Almighty during this
month as is His due to be worshipped? and did they obey Allaah The
Almighty, to begin with, during this month and fulfil His due rights?
It is a pity that an adulterer, or one who is used to consuming
intoxicants, or dealing inRibaa, resumes his regular behaviour and
actions as soon asRamadanis over. The same goes for those who waste
their time in gatherings of useless talk, or who take holidays that
have many things objectionable about them.
Some people mistakenly believe that the deeds they might have
performed duringRamadanare enough to expiate their sins for the
remaining eleven monthsof the year; they thus easily disobey Allaah
The Almighty before and afterRamadan. How can they guarantee the
acceptance of their deeds duringRamadantobegin with? How do theyknow
that Allaah The Almighty did not reject all their deeds, let alone
forgive their sins?
There are more serious matters as well, such as people eating during
thedays ofRamadan)i.e. breaking their fast( to please, for example,
the disbelievers at their workplaces. Others have sexual intercourse
with their spouses during the daytime, which is one of the worst ways
of breaking a fast. Its expiation is that the person who does it
should free a slave – a very severe punishment –and if he cannot find
a slave, or is financially unable to free one, then he must fast for
two consecutive months, and if he is physically unable to do so, then
he must feed sixty poor or needy people. It is bad enough to have
sexual intercourse with one's own spouse during the daytime inRamadan,
so how would the case be, if it were adultery, fornication or sodomy?
So, who are the real winners afterRamadan? Allaah The Almighty Says)what means(:
·}"…So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted into Paradise
has attained ]his desire[..."{]Quran 3: 185[
·"Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of
Paradise. The companions of Paradise –they are the attainers of
success."]Quran 59: 20[
Allaah The Almighty also Says regarding the dwellers of Paradise)what
means(:"For them will be gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is
the great attainment."]Quran 85: 11[
Indeed, this is true success and real victory.

Dought & clear - Permissibility of Ambiguity and Definitionof Necessity.

When is deliberate ambiguity valid? If that is in cases of necessity
only, then what is the definition of necessity in this case?
Praise be to Allah.
The Arabic word tawriyah [translated here as deliberate ambiguity]
means to conceal something.
Allah says (interpretationof the meaning):
"Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him how to
hide [yuwaari] the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said:
"Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and tohide the dead
body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted" [5:31]
"O Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover
yourselves (screen your private parts – yuwaari saw'aatikum) and as an
adornment; and the raiment of righteousness, that is better. Such are
among the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs,
revelations, etc.) of Allaah, that they may remember (i.e. leave
falsehood and follow truth)"
[al-A'raaf 7:26]
With regard to the meaning in sharee'ah (religious) terminology, it
refers to someone who says something thatmay appear to have one
meaning to the listener but the speaker intends something different
thatmay be understood fromthese words. For example, he says, "I do not
have a dirham in my pocket," and that is understood to mean thathe
does not have any money at all, when whathe means is that he doesnot
have a dirham but he may have a dinar, for example. This is called
ambiguity or dissembling.
Deliberate ambiguity is regarded as a legitimate solution for avoiding
difficult situations that a person may find himself in when someone
asks him about something, and he does not want to tell the truth on
the one hand, and does not wantto lie, on the other.
Deliberate ambiguity is permissible if it is necessary or if it serves
ashar'i (religious) interest, but it is not appropriate to do it a
great deal so that it becomes a habit, or to use it to gain something
wrongfully or to deprivesomeone of his rights.
Al-Nawawi said:
The scholars said: If that is needed to serve some legitimate shar'i
interest that outweighs the concern about misleading the person towhom
you are speaking,or it is needed for a reason that cannot be achieved
without lying, then there is nothing wrong with using deliberate
ambiguity as an acceptable alternative. But if there is no interest to
be served and no pressing need, then it is makrooh (disliked), but is
not haram (impermissible). Ifit is a means of taking something
wrongfully ordepriving someone of their rights, then it is haram in
that case. This is the guideline in this matter. Al-Adhkaar.
Some scholars were of the view that it is haram to resort to
deliberate ambiguity if there is no reason or need to do so. This was
the view favoured by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have
mercy on him). See al-Ikhtiyaaraat.
There are situations in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) taught that we may use deliberate ambiguity, for
example:
If a man loses his wudoo(ablution) whilst prayingin congregation, what
should he do in this embarrassing situation?
The answer is that he should place his hand over his nose and leave.
The evidence for that is the report narrated from'Aishah (may Allah be
pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If anyone of you breaks
hiswudoo whilst praying, let him hold his nose andleave." Sunan Abi
Dawood.
Al-Teebi said: The command to hold his nose is so that it will look as
if he has a nosebleed. This is not a lie, rather it is a kind of
ambiguity. This concession is granted so that the Shaytan will
nottrick him into staying put because of feeling embarrassed in front
of people.
Mirqaah al-Mafaateeh Sharh Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh.
This is a kind of ambiguity that is permitted, so as to avoidany
embarrassment and so that whoever sees him leaving will think that he
has a nosebleed.
Similarly If a Muslim faces a difficult situationwhere he needs to say
what is against the truthin order to protect himself or someone whois
innocent, or to save himself from serious trouble, is there a way for
him to escape the situation without lying or falling into sin?
Yes, there is a legal way and a permissible escapethat one can make
use of if necessary. It is equivocation or indirectness in speech.
Imam al-Bukhaari (may Allah have mercy on him) entitled a chapter of
his Saheeh: "Indirect speech is a safe way to avoid a lie". (Saheeh
al-Bukhari, Kitaab al-Adab (Book of Manners)).
Equivocation means saying something which has a closer meaning that
the hearer will understand, but it also has a remote meaning which
what is actually meant and is linguistically correct. Thecondition for
this is that whatever is said should not present a truth as falsity
and vice versa. The following are examples of such statements used by
the salaf (pious predecessors) and early imams (religious leaders),
and collected by Imam Ibn al-Qayyim in his book Ighaathat al-Lahfaan:
It was reported about Hammad (may Allah havemercy on him), if someone
came that he did not want to sit with, he would say as if in pain: "My
tooth, my tooth!" Then the boring person whom he did notlike would
leave him alone.
Imam Sufyan Al-Thawri was brought to the khaleefah al-Mahdi, wholiked
him, but when he wanted to leave, the khaleefah told him he had to
stay. Al-Thawri swore that he would come back. He then went out,
leaving his shoes at the door. After some time he came back, took his
shoes and went away. The khaleefah asked about him, and was told that
he had sworn to come back, so he had come back and taken his shoes.
Imam Ahmad was in his house, and some of his students, including
al-Mirwadhi, were with him. Someone came along, asking for al-Mirwadhi
from outside the house, but Imam Ahmad did not want him to go out, so
he said: "Al-Mirwadhi is not here, what would hebe doing here?" whilst
putting his finger in the palm of his other hand, and the person
outside could not see what he was doing.
Other examples of equivocation or indirectness in speech include the following:
If someone asks you whether you have seen so-and-so, and you are
afraid that if you tell the questioner about him this would lead to
harm, you can say "ma ra aytuhu", meaning that you have not cut his
lung, because this is a correct meaning in Arabic ["ma ra aytuhu"
usually means "I have not seen him," but can also mean "I have not cut
his lung"]; or you could deny having seen him, referring in your heart
to a specific time and place where you have not seen him. If someone
asks you to swear an oath that you will never speak to so-and-so, you
could say,"Wallaahi lan ukallumahu", meaning that you will not wound
him, because "kalam" can also mean "wound" in Arabic [as well as
"speech"]. Similarly, if a person is forced to utter words of kufr
(disbelief) and is told to deny Allah, it is permissible for him to
say "Kafartu bi'l-laahi", meaning "I denounce the playboy" [which
sounds the same as the phrase meaning "Ideny Allah."]
(Ighaathat al-Lahfaan byIbn al-Qayyim. See also the section on
equivocation (ma'aareed) in Al-Adaab al-Shar'iyyah by Ibn Muflih).
However, one should be cautious that the use of such statements is
restricted only to situations of great difficulty, otherwise:
Excessive use of it may lead to lying.
One may lose good friends, because they would always be in doubt as to
what is meant.
If the person to whom such a statement is givencomes to know that the
reality was different from what he was told, and he was not aware that
the person was engaging in deliberate ambiguity or equivocation, he
would consider that person to be a liar. This goes against the
principle of protecting one's honour by not giving people cause to
doubt one's integrity.
The person who uses such a technique frequently may become proud of
his ability to take advantage of people.
End quote. From Madha taf'al fi'l-haalaat al-aatiyah (What to do inthe
following situations)?
And Allah knows best.

Dought & clear - Nameemah (Back Biting to Destroy Relations) from a Kafir (Non-Muslim).

I am a new convert to Islam, and I have a Christian brother who lives with me.
My brother does not likea person, who used to be a friend, that helped
me to become a Muslim, and my brother told me some bad things about
that friend.
So I had a big fight with this friend and we don't talk any more. Did
I do wrong?
By the way this friend used to ask me "where I go?" and he used to
call me a lot.
Do you think it is wrong to cut my relationship with this friend? P.S.
I know that this friend likes me very much...And I think he is a good
Muslim.
Praise be to Allah.
Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)! How did you cut off your ties with
your Muslim brother because of some news about him that was brought by
a non-Muslim?
Allah says (interpretationof the meaning):
"O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with news
verify it…" [49:6].
This person is not just a "rebellious, evil person" (fasiq), he is
also a kafir (non-Muslim), so how could you believe what he said and
on that basiscut off ties with your Muslim brother? Indeed, what you
have done is wrong, and you must go back to this Muslim friend,
because it is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake his brother for
more than three days. Since he likes you and was the reason why you
became Muslim, you owe him a great deal. How can you cut him off? Go
back to him and do not leave him unless there is some clear evidence
and proof that you should forsake him for some serious matter that
goes against Islam.
We ask Allah to grant us and you guidance and strength.

Dought & clear - The Phrase “The Rest is uUp to Allah” is Not Correct.

How correct is it to say, "I have done my best and the rest is up to Allah"?
Praise be to Allah.
This phrase is not correct, because it means that the one who says it
is putting his trustin himself first. What he should say is, "I have
done my best and I ask Allah for help." This is what is correct.
Perhaps when a person says "I have done my best and the rest is up
toAllah", what he means is what I have suggested here, i.e., what I
could do, I have done, and what I cannot do is up toAllah, But the
phrase is basically incorrect. Rather he should say, "I have done my
best and I ask Allah for help."
And Allah knows best.

Islamic Stories of Prophets: Don't Offer or Receive Bribe

Bilqees then asked her advisors to advise her as to what she should
do. They replied, "We are very strong and have a powerful army to
fight against Sulayman, but the decision is yours and we will obey
your order."
Bilqees was wise and decided not to fight Prophet Sulayman (as).
Instead, she sent him valuable gifts to see whathe would do. When the
messengers of Bilqees arrived in the land of Prophet Sulayman (as) and
saw his glory and hiswealth, they were struck with wonder. They
thought the gifts they had brought were worthless.
Prophet Sulayman (as) became very angry whenhe was presented with the
gifts and said, "What!Do you offer me wealth? What Allah (swt) has
given me is more superior to all the wealthon this earth. Go back to
your queen with her giftsand tell her that I will soon march to
conquer her land with a huge army."
When Bilqees heard whathad happened, she decided to surrender herself
to Prophet Sulayman (as) and make preparations to go meet him.

Use your all Powers to bring Humankind to the Right path

In spite of his wealth, glory, and vast empire, Prophet Sulayman (as)
remained a humble and devoted servant of Allah (swt). He spent his
nights in prayers and fasted during the days. He used his power and
might onlyin the way of Allah (swt) to bring humankind to the right
path. For his livelihood, he used to make baskets and sell them in the
market; and with the money he obtained, he bought food and shared it
with the poor.
One day, when he was inspecting the birds, he noticed that a bird
called Hudhud (Hoopoe) was not present. He said,"Where is Hudhud? I
will punish him severely if he remains absent without agood reason."
Shortly after that, Hudhud arrived and told Prophet Sulayman (as) that
he had flown over the land of Saba (Sheba) where he had seen a
beautiful woman ruling over the people. Her name was Bilqees. She had
plenty of wealth, a strong army and a thronemade of gold, diamonds and
other precious stones. He saw her and the people worshipping the sun,
instead of Allah (swt).
Prophet Sulayman (as) was very pleased with Hudhud and gave him a
letter to deliver to Bilqees. Hudhud flew to the land of Saba and
dropped the letter in the lap of Bilqees while she was in the palace.
When Bilqees received the letter, she called her advisors and said, "I
havereceived an honorable letter from Sulayman. It begins In the name
of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful and it reads:"Accept Allah
(swt) and worship only Him. I am his prophet, believe in what I say
and accept my command".

Dua for seeking guidance(Istikhaarah)

Translation
On the authority of JabirIbn Abdullah, he said, "The Prophet (peace
andblessings of Allah be upon him) would instruct us to pray for
guidance in all of our concerns, just as he would teach us a chapter
from the Quran."
He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say, If any of you
intends to undertake a matter then let himpray two supererogatory
units(two rakaah nafilah) of prayer and afterwhich he should
supplicate:
O Allah, I seek Your counsel by Your knowledge and by Your power I
seek strength and I ask You from Your immense favour,
For indeed You are able while I am not and You know while I do not
andYou are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, if You know (thisaffair) -or you may mention your need now-
to be good for me in relation to my religion, my life, and end, then
decree and facilitate it for me, and bless me with it,
And if You know this affair to be ill for me in my religion, my life,
and my end, then remove it from me and remove mefrom it, and decree
for me what whatever is good wherever it may be and make me satisfied
with it.
Notes:
*One who seeks guidance from his Creator, consults his fellow
believers and then remains firm in his resolve does not regret, for
Allah has said:
"…and consult them in the affair. Then when you have taken a decision,
put your trust in Allah..."
*Al-Istikharah dua is to be said after intention was already made to
do something where guidance of Allah is needed here to ease the path
towards achieving this intended matter if it was beneficial for the
individual, and not (as understood by many) to choose between two
matters, when unsure.

Solution: The morals of the Qur'an

Around the globe, the majority of people are among the oppressed. They
are tortured, butchered, and live in abject poverty, are homeless, are
forced to live their lives unprotected from the elements and they
sufferlack of medical care. There are those who cannot even afford a
loaf of bread. There are the elderly, facing neglect, abandonment and
denied medical care. Then there are those who face discrimination,
expulsion from their homes and lands simply because of their
ethnicity, language, raceor tribe and even massacres. Helpless,
malnourished, defenseless innocent children are forced to work for
money or beg.
Countless people live in fear for their lives anxious about their
survival, in a world in the midst of whose poverty and oppression,
there is also immense extravagance, privilege and wealth. Those
blessed with the "good life" pass by the homeless, see pictures, and
watch scenes on television of those less fortunate than they.
Sometimes they feel a brief moment of pity, but then change the
channel, turn away fromthe image, and in a shorttime completely erase
that fleeting prick of the conscience.
So many who enjoy the bounties and comforts with which they have been
blessed, never think of expending effort to save those who can not
afford these. They believe it is not up to them to save those people,
when so many are richer and more powerful and in a betterposition to
come to the aid of the less fortunate.
However, prosperity andpower alone are not enough to save those people
and to make this world a place of welfare in which justice, peace,
confidence and well-being prevail. Despite the existence of developed
countries around the world, there are still too many countries, such
as Ethiopia, where people still die daily of starvation. It is
apparent that the wealth and power of some nations are not enough in
themselves to solve the afflictions of drought, poverty and civil
warfare.
Only being conscientiouswill channel resources and power towards the
welfare of the poor and desperate. The sole way of being conscientious
ishaving faith. It is only the believers who constantly live by their
consciences.
Eventually, there is only one solution to the injustice, chaos,
terror, massacres, hunger, poverty, and oppression in the world: the
values of the Qur'an.
Those adverse conditions were created in the first place by hatred,
malice, self-interest, indifference and cruelty and therefore must be
undone by love, compassion, mercy, generosity, unselfishness,
sensitivity,tolerance, commonsenseand wisdom. These traitsof
compassion are foundonly in those who fully live by the values taught
in the Noble Qur'an, which is our guidance directly from our Creator.
In one verse, Allah (swt) refers to the Qur'an's feature of leading
mankind out of darkness into light.
... A light has come to you from Allah and a Clear Book. By it, Allah
guides those who followwhat pleases Him to the ways of peace. He will
bring them from the darkness to the light by His permission, and guide
them to a straight path.(Surat al Ma'ida: 15-16)
In another verse, Allah states that everything would be in corruption
and confusion if the truth were to be according to human desires:
If the truth were to follow their whims and desires, the heavens
andthe earth and everything in them would have been brought to ruin.
No indeed! We have given their Reminder, but theyhave turned away from
it.(Surat al-Muminun: 71)
As you read this passage, millions of people are suffering, are cold
and hungry, or facing expulsion from their homelands. For this reason,
people who have consciences need to think about this, and act to solve
those troubles as if they themselves or their loved ones were facing
them. We need to act both spiritually and materially to alleviate the
suffering and oppression. In one verse,Allah orders conscientious and
faithful people to assume this responsibility:
What reason could you have for not fighting in the Way of Allah – for
those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, 'Our Lord,
take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give usa
protector from You! Give us a helper from You!'?(Surat an-Nisa': 75)
When we consider the Qur'anic commands, it becomes obvious what are
our obligations. The most important thing forMuslims is first, to
struggle in the intellectual domain so that the values of the Qur'an
and the Sunnah prevail over disbelief. The only salvation for the
weak, helpless, homeless and destitute is the practice of the guidance
of the Qur'an, which is directed to all humankind. Therefore, itis our
duty to spread the word and communicate the message, and that is a
vital component of worship for all Muslims.
Those who do not followtheir consciences, who are indifferent to the
suffering of others, who spend their wealth on frivolous and vain
things, who fail to show concern for orphans, who look coldly at
oppressed woman, children and the elderly, and who are happy only when
there is immorality and ugliness in the world, will certainly have to
give anaccount in the Hereafter.
Have you seen him who denies the deen (religion)? He is the one who
harshly rebuffs the orphan and does not urge the feeding of the poor.
So woe to those who do salat (regular prayers), whose hearts from
their salat are remote, those who showoff and deny help to
others.(Surat al-Ma'un: 1-7)

Atheistic freemasonry-- The antichrist system -- Strives for setting believers at loggerheads by using the press

Atheistic freemasonry, the system of the antichrist, has gained
dominion over a fractionof the highly effective worldwide
press.Atheisticfreemasonry is able to affect the entire world by using
the aforementioned fractionof press, make provocation as it wills, and
direct the world as it wills.
This is the method of theantichrist. It was mentioned in the hadith
that the antichrist woulddeceive people by using instruments of press
andmedia:
When dajjal (the antichrist) emerges, he cries so loud that the people
of both East and West hear him. (Ibn Kathir, an-Nihaiah, 1:96)
The cry of the antichrist, which was mentioned inthe hadith refers to
TV and radio (Allah knows the truth). The antichrist reaches all
humanity via TV and radio, spreads its sly propaganda and deceives
them.
A voice saying, "Dajjal (the antichrist) entered your houses and took
your children as prisoners" will be heard.(Muhyiddin ibn Arabi,
al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya (The Meccan Illuminations), I-XII (Cairo:
1392/1972), 2:168)
The system of the antichrist, that isatheisticfreemasonry, strives for
setting sincerebelievers at loggerheadsand raises strife and defeatism
between themby using instruments of press and media. A large section
of Muslims, Christians and Jews around the world have been in error by
getting deceived through the propaganda of atheist freemasons, thus an
artificial opposition is formed between them which is formed by the
antichrist. Some Jews consider Muslims dangerous, Christians are in an
intellectual disunity with the Jews and as a result of this artificial
strife, religious people are put into a position to attack each other.
By such an insidious game, the antichrist is setting Muslims,
Christians and Jews all around the world at loggerheads and makes them
oppresseach other. This system is preventing them to befriends and act
in unity. Members of three religions are defeated instead of getting
stronger by uniting in the true path. With this method the antichrist
tries to deter the devout people getting more devout, being in unity,
following the decrees of the religion and getting stronger.
And the system of the antichrist found the opportunity to strengthen
by using this strife. Through the clash between devout people and the
spread of the irreligion, the atheistic freemasonry gains strength and
can rule the world.
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi explained this deviant method of the antichrist
as follows deriving from a hadith:
According to a noble Hadith of the Prophet (saas), noxious and awesome
persons like Sufyan and the dajjal (the antichrist) will come to rule
over the godless at the end of time, and exploiting the greed, discord
and hatred amongst the Muslims and mankind, they will need only a
small force to reduce humanity to anarchy and the vast world of Islam
to slavery. (Twenty-second Letter)
Bediuzzaman informed that the antichrist will enslave the whole
humanity with a small force by benefiting fromthe artificially made
opposition between devout people by the antichrist and it will bring
them strife and oppression. Atheist freemasons bring about the spread
of oppressionand strife by setting the followers of Allah at
loggerheads. Thus, the atheist rule proceeds.
This antichrist system, byAllah's leave, will totally be eliminated
with the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). What
believers should do is to pave the way for Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the
Prophet Jesus (as) during the End Times to eradicate the antichrist
system and to defeat thisdevious game. This will be possible with the
sincere Muslims, Christians and Jews being in unity and loving and to
praising the name of Allah altogether.

The Moment by Moment Creation of Matter is One of The Greatest Signs of Our Lord

It has been shown by the existing physical laws and scientific
research that our Lord created matter moment by moment. The
flawlessness, perfect balance and detailed arrangements in the
creation of the universe are one of the proofs of our Lord's
omniscience and matchless Creation.
The Big Bang theory clearly reveals that Allah created the universe
from nothing. This great explosion is full of fine calculations and
is so detailed that it causes one to reflect that it cannot be
explained as a matter of pure chance.
The temperature at every moment of the explosion, the number of
atomic particles, the forces enetering into operation at that
moment and the intensities of those forces need to possess highly
sensitive values. Failure to achieve even one of those values would
mean the universe we inhabit today could not have come into being.
A change in any one of these values - even at a level approaching
mathematical "0" - would be sufficient for the Big Bang to have
never happened at all.
In the Wake of the Big Bang.
The universe and its building blocks, atoms, began coming into
being from nothing in the wake of this great explosion thanks to the
balances created by Allah. Scientists have carried out unlimited
research into the perfect timing of the events that took place during
this and the nature of the physical laws involved in that timing.
The facts agreed on by all the scientists who have studied the
subject are these:
→ "0" moment; This "moment" when there was no matter and time, and
when this explosion took place is regarded in physics as the moment
when t (time) = 0. In other words, when t=0, nothing exists. In
order to describe what preceeded this "moment" when creation
began, we need to know the laws of physics existing at that moment
because the laws of physics that exist now do not apply in the first
moments of the explosion.
Events that physics can describe begin as of 10 -43 seconds, the
smallest unit of time; this is too small for the human mind to
conceive. So what happened in this brief space of time we cannot
even imagine? Physicists have so far been unable to produce a
theory that can explain all the details of the events that occurred
because scientists lack the materials with which to perform
calculations. Descriptions of the laws of mathematics and physics
are impacted at this threshold. In other words, both the time
before this explosion built on the most delicate of balances and
its initial moments possess a creation that surpasses human
understanding.
This creation that began when there was no time allowed for the
moment by moment appearance of the material universe and the laws
of physics. Let us now have a look at the events that occurred with
great sensitivity in a very short space of time in this explosion:
At this moment of creation, the temperature was 10 32
(100,000,000,000,000,00 0.-000,000,000,000,000) K. To make a
comparison, the heat of the Sun is expressed in millions (10 8 ) and
that of stars far larger than the Sun in billions (10 11 ). The
highest temperatures we have been able to detect so far is limited
to billions of degrees, although it is possible to give an idea of
how great the temperature was at moment 10 -43 .
→ When time moved forward from 10 -43 seconds to 10 -37 : The period
between these points is not a moment like one or two seconds. We
are speaking of one quadrillion- quadrillionth of a second. The
temperature was again at the extraordinary level of 10 29
(100,000,000,-000,000,00 0,000,000,000,000) K. Atoms had not yet been
created.
→ Up to 10 -2 seconds: This time frame expresses one hundredth of a
second. The temperature at this point is 100 billion degrees. The
"first universe" began being shaped at this point. There were still
no particles such as protons and neutrons that constitute the
nucleus of the atom. All there at that moment were electrons and
their opposites, positrons (anti-electrons) because the temperature
and velocity of the universe at that moment permitted these
particles to form. Electrons and positrons came into being in less
than one second since the explosion began.
The question of at which moment every atomic particle will form after
this moment is very important because every particle needs to appear
at a special moment in order for the present laws of physics to
emerge. The question of which particle will form first is vitally
important. The slightest deviation in this sequence or timing would
make it impossible for the universe to exist in its present form.
→ After 10 -1 seconds: The temperature at this point is around 30
billion degrees. Still less than a second has passed since t=0.
However, the other components of the atom, protons and neutrons,
have begun to appear. Neutrons and protons were created in a
shorter space of time than has gone by since nothing.
→ The 1 st second after the explosion: When we look at the density
of the mass at this time we again encounter an huge and
extraordinary figure; it is calculated that the density of the mass
existing at this moment is 3.8 billion kilograms a liter. It is
easy to determine this figure expressed as billions of kgs
mathematically and to put it down on paper. However, it is still
impossible to fully conceive this value. To give a simple example to
make it easier to express the size of this figure, we may say that,
"If the tip of Mount Everest in the Himalayas had that density, the
force of gravity it would acquire could swallow our world up in a
moment."
→ Between 1 and 3 seconds: The main distinguishing feature of this
period is that temperature is now at quite a low value. The
universe is now around 14 seconds old, with a temperature of 3
billion degrees, and is continuing to expand at an enormous speed.
This is when atomic nuclei such as hydrogen and helium begin to
form. In other words, for the first time, there was an environment in
which a proton and neutron could stand side by side. These two
particles with masses between existing and non-existing set up an
extraordinary gravitational force and began opposing that vast
velocity of expansion. The process is clearly a conscious and
controlled one. A great balance and an extraordinarily sensitive
order forms after an inconceivable explosion. Protons and neutrons
began to come together and form the atom, the building block of
matter. Yet it is of coure impossible for these particles to possess
the power and consciousness with which to estsblish the sensitive
balances required in order to give rise to matter.
In the period that followed this, the temperature of the universe
dropped to one billion degrees. That is still 60 times the
temperature of our Sun. Three minutes and two seconds have now
passed since the outset. Subatomic particles such as the proton,
anti-proton, neutrino and anti-neutrino are now in the majority. The
number of, and interactions between, all the particles existing in
this period is critical; the slightest variation in the number of any
particle will compromise the energy levels determined by them and
prevent the conversion of energy into matter. The number of
particles emerging after the Big Bang has been determined with fine
calculations, and the material universe was able to form as a
result. Prof. Steven Weinberg emphasizes the critical nature of the
interaction between these particles as follows:
If the universe in the first few minutes was really composed of
precisely equal numbers of particles and antiparticles, they would
all have annihilated as the temperature dropped below 1,000 million
degrees, and nothing would be left but radiation. There is a very
good evidence against this possibility – we are here! There must
have been some excess of electrons over positrons, of protons over
antiprotons, and of neutrons over antineutrons, in order that there
would be something left over after the annihilation of particles and
antiparticles to furnish the matter of the present universe (Steven
Weinberg, The First Three Minutes, A Modern View of the Origin of
the Universe, Basic Books, June 1993, p.87)
→ The first 34 minutes 40 seconds: Our universe is now half an hour
old. The temperarures have dropped by billions of degrees.
Electrons and positrons continue to produce energy by colliding.
The number of particles that will give rise to atoms is now
balanced in such a way as to permit the formation of the material
universe. The rate of expansion has decreased relatively, and these
particles with almost no mass have begun interacting with one
another. The first hydrogen atom forms when an electron enters into
the orbit of a proton. In this way, we have become acquainted with
all the fundamental forces we see in the universe.
The Creator of All Who Regulates and Controls the Universe Is Almighty Allah
Creation can be seen, not only in the atom, but in all bodies small
and large in the universe. These particles that broke away from one
another at the speed of light at the beginning did not stop at
producing hydrogen atoms. They also gave rise to all the glorious
systems contained within the universe, other atoms, molecules,
planets, suns, solar systems, galaxies, quasars etc., within a
glorious plan, with measure and balance, one after the other. While
it is impossible for the particles needing to combine together to
form a single atom and set up delicate balances did so by chance, it
is totally irrational and illogical to claim that planets and
galaxies, in short all the systems that permit the functioning in
the universe, came about one by one by chance. This matchless
design belongs to Allah, Creator of all the universe. Stephen
Hawking explains that these events are built on far more delicate
balances that we can understand:
"If the rate of expansion one second after the big bang had been
smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million million, the
universe would have recollapsed before it ever reached its present
size " (Stephen Hawking, A Brief History of Time, p.9)
The Big Bang based on such fine calculations clearly reveals that
time, space and matter did not come into being spontaneously, and
that everything was created by Allah. This is indicated in a verse:
" He has made night and day subservient to you, and the sun and moon
and stars, all subject to His command. There are certainly Signs in
that for people who use their intellect." (Surat an-Nahl, 12 )
An order, the immutable laws we refer to as the "laws of physics,"
emerged in the wake of a huge explosion, from which great disorder
and irregularity might normally be expected. This proves that every
moment of the creation of the universe, including the Big Bang,
possesses a flawless order.

7 GOD GIVES INSIGHT TO THOSE WHO FEAR HIM
O you who believe! If you have fear of God, He will give you a
criterion [by which to judge between right and wrong] and erase your
bad actions from you and forgive you. God's favor is indeed
immense.(Qur'an, 8:29)
Old Testament
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His
precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise.
(Psalm 111:10)
NOT HOARDING WEALTH
... As for those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in
the Way of God, give them the news of a painful punishment. On the Day
it is heated up inthe fire of Hell, and their foreheads, sides, and
backs are branded with it: "This is what you hoarded for yourselves,
so taste what you were hoarding!" (Qur'an, 9:34-35)
[He] who has amassed wealth and hoarded it! He thinks his wealth will
make him live for ever. No indeed! He will be flung into the
Shatterer. And what will convey to you what the Shatterer is? The
kindled Fire of God reaching right into the heart. It is sealed in
above them in towering columns. (Qur'an, 104:2-9)
God expands provision to anyone He wills and restricts it. They
rejoice in the life of this world. Yet the life of this world,
compared to the Hereafter, is only fleeting enjoyment. (Qur'an, 13:26)
Those who are tight-fisted with the bounty God has given them should
not suppose that that is better for them. No indeed, it is worse for
them! What they were tight-fisted with will be hung around their necks
on the Day ofRising. God is the inheritor of the heavens and Earth,
and God is aware of what you do. (Qur'an, 3:180)
New Testament
[Now listen, you rich people!] Your gold and silver are corroded.
Theircorrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire.
You have hoarded wealth in the Last Days. (James 5:3)
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on Earth, where moth and rust
destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for
yourselves treasures in Heaven, where moth andrust do not destroy, and
where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
Command those who are rich in this present worldnot to be arrogant nor
toput their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their
hope in God, Who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
(1 Timothy 6:17)
Old Testament
Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is
never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. As goods
increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to
the owner except to feasthis eyes on them? (Ecclesiastes 5:10-11)
Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the
day of the Lord's wrath. (Zephaniah 1:18)
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are
destroyed by their duplicity. Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. (Proverbs 11:3-4)
This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength or the richman boast of his
riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands
and knows Me, that I am the Lord, Who exercises kindness, justice and
righteousnesson earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord.
(Jeremiah 9:23-24)
SHUNNING AVARICE
God has made a metaphor for them of a man owned by several partners in
dispute with one another and another man wholly owned by a single man.
Are they the same? Praise be to God! The fact is that most of them do
not know. (Qur'an, 39:29)
To mankind the love of worldly appetites is painted in glowing colors:
women and children, and heaped-upmounds of gold and silver, and horses
with fine markings, and livestock and fertile farmland. All of that is
merely the enjoyment ofthe life of this world. Thebest homecoming is
in the presence of God. (Qur'an, 3:14)
New Testament
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the
other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You
cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24)
For the love of money is the root of all evil. Some people, eager for
money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many
griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. (1
Timothy 6:10-11)
TO BE HUMBLE
O you who believe! If any of you renounce your religion, God will
bring forward a people whom He loves and who love Him, humble to the
believers, fierce to the unbelievers, who strive in the Way of God and
do not fear the blame of any censurer. That is the unbounded favor of
God, which He gives to whoever He wills. God is Boundless,
All-Knowing. (Qur'an, 5:54)
...Your God is One God, sosubmit to Him. Give goodnews to the
humble-hearted. (Qur'an, 22:34)
New Testament

Hear and pay attention, do not be arrogant, for the Lord has spoken.
(Jeremiah 13:15)
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what He
commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility... (Zephaniah 2:3)
ARROGANCE ON EARTH LEADS TO DEBASEMENT IN GOD'S PRESENCE
He [God] said: "Descend from Heaven [O Iblis(Satan)]. It is not for
you to be arrogant in it. So get out! You are one of the abased."
(Qur'an, 7:13)
Do not strut arrogantly about the land. You will certainly never split
the land apart nor will you ever rival the mountains in height.
(Qur'an, 17:37)
Do not avert your face from people out of haughtiness, and do not
strut about arrogantly on the land. God does not love anyone who is
vain or boastful. (Qur'an,31:18)
New Testament
The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts
himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
(Matthew 23:11-12)
Old Testament
To the arrogant I say:"Boast no more," and to the wicked: "Do not lift
up your horns. Do not lift your horns against Heaven; do not speak
with outstretched neck." No one from the east or the west or from the
desert can exalt a man. But it is God Who judges: He brings one down,
He exalts another. (Psalms 75:4-7)
