*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Surah Al Baqarah (2) verse 185:
"Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide

right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home)
during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill,
or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days
later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put
to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and
to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be
grateful. " [ 2:185 ]

THERE IS REMEDY FOR ALL DISEASES EXCEPT OLD AGE
Narrated Usamah ibn Sharik: I came to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_ him)
and his Companions were sitting as if they had birds on their heads. I
saluted and sat down. The desert Arabs then came from here and there.
They asked: Apostle of Allah, should we make use of medical treatment?
He replied: Make use of medical treatment, for Allah has not made a
disease without appointinga remedy for it, with the exception of one
disease, namely old age.

Strains and sprains

Strains and sprains are often the result of taking part in sport.
Strains are injuries to the muscles moving the bones (usually
sustained by overstretching). Sprains are injuries to the joints.
Symptoms
*. Sharp pain and tenderness
*. Swelling and distortion of limb
*. Signs of bruising
*. Difficulty moving injured part of body
First aid aims
*. Reduce pain and swelling
*. Get medical help, if necessary
Actions
RICE procedure:
*. R - rest and support affected limb
*. I - apply ice or a cold compress to reduce swelling
*. C - comfortably support by using effective support bandaging
*. E - elevate limb to reduce blood flow to affected area
This treatment may be sufficient to relieve the symptoms, but if
you're in doubt about the severity of the injury treat it as a
fracture and seek medical advice.
Further action
If the injury seems serious, get medical help.

Stages and Gates of Paradise

Question: Mufti, I was at the Monroe Road Mosque on Friday and I found
your lecture very inspirational on Brotherhood in Islam. One part of
your lecture concerning a Hadith in which themiddle part of Jannah was
mentioned, you described that Jannah is not like seven levels ofa
building, where the middle part would be the greatest part or
Jannat-ul-Firdous. Can you shed more light into this area since I used
to always think of Jannah as seven levels like one on top the other. I
would also like you to clarify the following for me:
There are eight doors of Jannah. These are eight grades of Jannah:
i) Jannatul Mava
ii) Darul Maqaam
iii) Darul Salaam
iv) Darul Khuld
v) Jannat-ul-Adan
vi) Jannat-ul-Naeem
vii) Jannat-ul-Kasif
viii) Jannat-ul-Firdous
Jannatul Mava is in the lowest, Jannat-ul-Adan is the middle
andJannat-ul-Firdous is on the highest.
Answer: With respect to the amount of gates in Jannah, it is evident
that there are eight of them. In a tradition, Sahl bin Sa'ad(r.a)
reported that the Prophet (s.a.s) said, 'Paradise has eight gates, and
one of them is called ArRayyan. None will enter it except those who
observe fasting.' (Bukhari)
In another tradition, Umar bin Khattab (r.a) narrates that the Prophet
(s.a.s) said, 'Anyone of you who performs wudu and says Ash'hadu an la
ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lahu wa ash'hadu anna Muhammadan
abduhu wa rasuluhu, all the eight gates of Jannah would be open for
him.' (Muslim)
This hadith shows that there are eight gates in Jannah and one who
does the above act would befortunate to gain entry into these gates.
The Prophet (s.a.s) has further given details regarding these gates
and has mentioned some of their names.
In a tradition narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet (s.a.s) is
reported to have said, 'Whoever spends in the path of Allah two things
of the same kind would be called to Paradise and it will be said, 'O
Servant of Allah.' One whohad been offering salaah would be called
from the gate of salaah; the man of Jihad would be called from the
gate of Jihad; the man offasting would be called from the gate of
Rayyan.' Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (r.a) said, 'May my parents be
sacrificed for you, will there be anyone who would be called from all
these gates?' The Prophet (s.a.s) said, 'Yes! and I hope you are one
of them.' (Recorded by Tirmizi).
While commenting on this hadith, the great scholar of hadith and
commentator of Sahih Al Bukhari, Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani writes,
'This hadith tells of four gates (1) Babus Salaah (the gate of
Salaah); (2) Babul Jihad (the gate of Jihad);(3) Babus Sadaqah (the
gate of charity; (4) Babur Rayyan (the gate of the fasting people. It
seems that one gate is also named Babul Hajj (the gate for those who
performed Hajj) and one more for those who suppresstheir anger.
Similarly, one gate Babul Aiman will be fixed for those totally
relying on Allah and they will enter the gate without their account
being taken. There would also be a gate named Babuz Zikr which has
been referred to in a hadith recorded by Tirmizi.'
The above mentioned traditions spoke of the eight different gates in
Jannah and also highlighted their names. Along with the different
gates in Paradise, it is also evident that there are ranks and storeys
in Paradise. The Holy Quran and the traditions tell us that based on
the great amount of good deeds of a person, he would be placed in a
high and lofty place in Paradise while other believers will be placed
in a lower rank or storey.
In this regard, the Holy Quran has stated, 'Those are the ones that
will be rewarded with the highestplace in Paradise, because of
theirpatience.' (25:76). At another place it states, 'As for those who
feared their Lord, for them will be lofty mansions, one above the
other, which have been built and beneath them rivers flow.' (39:20)/

Facts on Islam

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
LOST THINGS PICKED UP BY SOMEONE (LUQAATA) :
Narrated Ubai bin Ka'b: I found a purse containing one hundred Diners.
So I went to the Prophet (and informed him about it), he said, "Make
public announcement about it for one year" I did so, but nobody turned
up to claim it, so I again went to the Prophet who said,"Make public
announcement for another year." I did, but none turned up to claim it.
I went to him for the third time and he said,"Keep the container and
the string which is used for its tying and count the money it contains
and if its owner comes, give it to him; otherwise, utilize it."The
sub-narrator Salama said,"I met him (Suwaid, another sub-narrator) in
Mecca and he said, 'I don't know whether Ubai made the announcement
for three years or just one year.' "
Bukhari Book 3, Volume 42, Hadith 608
I want to ask you my brothers and sisters that how many times do we
seethings that are not ours, then that we made public announcement(
not necessarily on mass Media but) in our immediate environment. We
should fear Allah the way He ought to be feared.May Allah help us to
behave and act in the best manner, ameen

An incident in Islam

♥ Beautiful Incident from our Precious History ♥
Imam Malik bin Anas recorded that Jabir bin `Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said,“Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) sent an army towards the east coast and appointed Abu `Ubaydah bin Al-Jarrah (رضي الله عنه) as their commander, and the army consisted of threehundred men, including myself. We marched on until we reached a place where our food was about to finish. Abu `Ubaydah (رضيالله عنه) ordered us to collect all the food for our journey, and it was collected in two bags of dates. Abu `Ubaydah kept on giving us our daily ration in small amounts from it, until it was exhausted. The share of each of us used to be one date only.”
I (one of the narrators fromJabir) said, “How could one date suffice for you” Jabir replied, “We came to knowits value when even that finished.”
Jabir added, “When we reached the seashore, we saw a huge fish which was like a small mountain. The army ate from it for eighteen days.
Then Abu `Ubaydah ordered that two of its ribs be affixed in the ground. Then he ordered that a she-camel be ridden, and itpassed under the two ribs (forming an arch) without touching them.”
(This Hadith was also collected in the Two Sahihs)

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a common component found in every cell of the human
body. The body uses cholesterol to create healthy cells and certain
hormones. When anindividual's cholesterol is high, it can create fatty
deposits in the blood vessels. Over time, these deposits can make it
harder for blood to flow through the arteries thus causing major
health problems. Decreased blood-flow prevents the heart and brain
from receiving much-needed oxygen-rich blood. Lack of oxygen, in
return, can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
There are various factors that come into play when considering high
blood cholesterol - all of which need to be discussed during your
online high cholesterol consultation. For example, an unhealthy diet,
obesity and inactivity are all causes of the disease. Additionally,
your genetic makeup can determine vulnerability to high cholesterol.
Thankfully, an online high cholesterol prescription canhelp treat this
problem.
There are no major symptoms that point to high cholesterol. The Mayo
Clinic recommends individuals be tested at theage of 20 to determine a
"baseline" cholesterol level. After that, it is recommends you get
tested every five years. Your physician may request more frequent
tests depending on your personal health history.
According to the Mayo Clinic, treating high cholesterol can be
accomplished through a healthy diet and exercise regime. In certain
situations, online high cholesterol prescriptions can also help
maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Popular brand name medications
used to treat high cholesterol include Mevacor, Lipitor, Zocor,
Pravachol, Crestor and Altocor. Doctors may also prescribe Lopid,
Questran, Welchol and Niacor depending on the patient's health needs/

"The Sphere" sculpture that emerged largely intactfrom the rubble of the Sept. 11 attacks, becomes asymbol of resilience and international harmony, willsoon be moved form the Manhattan Park.

The 45,000-pound (20,410-kilogram) sphere sculpture that emerged
largely intactfrom the rubble of the World Trade Centre following the
Sept. 11 attacks faces an uncertain future as officials prepare to
remove it from the park where it has been on display for a decade.
"The Sphere," originally dedicated as a monument to world peace
through trade, became an interim memorial in the months after 9/11. A
year after the attacks, Mayor Michael Bloomberg joined Afghan
President Hamid Karzai andofficials from about 90 foreign nations at
its base to light an eternal flame.
Nearly a decade later, the eternal flame could possibly be snuffed
out, and there is no permanent plan for the 25-foot (8-meter)-high
structure made of bronze and steel. Officials said this week thatit
will be removed by the end of the month to make way for renovations to
Battery Park, the green space that has been home to the sculpture.
Some family members of those killed have gathered thousands of
signatures in an online petition urging officials to incorporate the
sculpture into the 9/11 memorial and return it to the spot where it
once stood as a centrepiece of a 5-acre (2-hectare) plaza. Originally,
Bloomberg said the battered globe would likely serve as a centrepiece
for a permanent memorial, but ultimately it wasn't included in the
plans.
Michael Burke, who lost hisbrother in the attacks and has been helping
to lead the effort to get the spherereturned to the plaza, called the
sculpture's exclusion a disgrace.
"It's the last remaining intact artefact of the trade centre," he said
Friday. "It represents the triumph of the values attacked, of peace
and cooperation, over the terrorism, the hatred and intolerance
thatattacked."
As for the eternal flame, plans call for the gas line that feeds the
fire to be turned off. But Julie Wood, a spokeswoman for the mayor,
said the city is still evaluating what should be done.
"We're looking at a variety of options," she said in a statement.
Ron Marsico, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New
Jersey, which commissioned the statue in 1971, said that Battery Park
had never been intended as a permanent home for it. The agency may
place the sphere in an airport hangarwhere other World Trade Centre
artefacts are alreadybeing stored, he said.
"We are exploring options on where it will be located in the short
term," Marsico said in a statement. "The short-term location will be
used until a permanent home is identified."
Burke said the Port Authority had recently shared some renderings with
him and other family members that depicted thepossibility of placing
the statue on Liberty Street, just across from the 9/11 Memorial. But
he objected that the sculpture, now imbued with such history and
significance, would notbe prominently placed/
"It's not going to be part ofthe memorial experience," he said

Brisk 30 minute daily walk halts cognitive impairment

Two studies have indicatedthat engaging in regular physical activity
is associated with a lesser decline in cognitive function in older
adults.
In one article, Marie-Noel Vercambre, from the Foundation of Public
Health, Mutuelle Generale de l'Education Nationale, Paris, and
colleagues examined data from the Women's Antioxidant Cardiovascular
Study, which included women who had either prevalent vascular disease
or three ormore coronary risk factors.
The researchers analyzed data to correlate cognitive score changes
with total physical activity and energy expenditure from walking. As
the participants' energy expenditure increased, the rate of cognitive
decline decreased. The amount of exercise equivalent to a brisk,
30-minute walk every day was associated with lower risk of
cognitiveimpairment.
In another report, Laura E. Middleton, from the Heart and Stroke
Foundation Centre for Stroke Recovery, Sunnybrook Research Institute,
Toronto, and colleagues utilized data from the Health, Aging, andBody
Composition study, an ongoing prospective cohort study. The authors
adjusted the data for baseline Modified Mini-Mental State Examination
(MMMSE) scores, demographics, fat-free mass, sleep duration,
self-reported health and diabetes mellitus. When these variables were
accounted for, participants who had the highest activity energy
expenditure (AEE) scores tended to have lower oddsof incident
cognitive impairment. The authors also noticed a significant dose
response between AEE and incidence of cognitive impairment.
The authors of both articlessuggested that there is more to be learned
about the relationship between physical activity and cognitive
function.
"Various biologic mechanisms may explain the positive relation between
physical activity and cognitive health," wrote Vercambre and
colleagues. Middleton and co-authors stated, "The mechanisms by which
physical activity is related to late-life cognition are likely to be
multifactorial." The studies have been published in Archives of
Internal Medicine/

Resistance spread 'compromising' fight against malaria
By Matt McGrath

Warning over fake malaria drugs
Scientists have found new evidence that resistance to the front-line
treatments for malaria is increasing.
They have confirmed that resistant strains of the malaria parasite on
the border between Thailand and Burma, 500 miles (800km) away from
previous sites.
Researchers say that the rise of resistance means the effort to
eliminate malaria is "seriously compromised".
The details have been published in The Lancet medical journal.
For many years now the most effective drugs against malaria have been
derived from the Chinese plant, Artemisia annua . It isalso known as
sweet wormwood.
In 2009 researchers found that the most deadly species of malaria
parasites, spread by mosquitoes, were becoming more resistant to these
drugs in parts of western Cambodia.
This new data confirms that these Plasmodium falciparum parasites that
are infecting patients morethan 500 miles away on the border between
Thailand and Burma are growing steadily more resistant.
The researchers from the Shoklo Malaria Research Unit measured the
time it took the artemisinin drugs to clear parasites from the
bloodstreams of more than3,000 patients. Over the nine years between
2001 and 2010, they found that drugs became less effectiveand the
number of patientsshowing resistance rose to 20%.
Prof Francois Nosten, who is part of the research teamthat has carried
out the latest work, says the development is very serious.
"It would certainly compromise the idea of eliminating malaria that's
for sure and will probably translate into a resurgence of malaria in
many places," he said.
'Untreatable malaria'
Another scientist involved with the study is Dr Standwell Nkhoma from
the Texas Biomedical Research Institute.
"Spread of drug-resistant malaria parasites within South East Asia and
overspill into sub-Saharan Africa, where most malaria deaths occur,
would be a public health disaster resulting in millions of deaths."
The drug artemisinin is derived from the Artemisia annua plant
The scientists cannot tell if the resistance has moved because
mosquitoes carrying the resistant parasites have moved to the Burmese
border or if it has arisen spontaneously among the population there.
Either way the researchers involved say it raises the spectre of
untreatable malaria.
"Either the resistance has moved and it will continue to move and will
eventually reach Africa. Or if it has emerged, now thatartemisinin is
the standard therapy worldwide then it means it could emerge
anywhere," Prof Nosten told the BBC.
"If we were to lose artemisinin then we don't have any new drugs in
the pipeline to replace them. We could be going back 15years to where
cases were very difficult to treat because of the lack of an
efficacious drug."
Artemisinin is rarely used on its own, usually being combined with
older drugsto help fight the rise of resistance. These artemisinin
based combination therapies are now recommended by the World Health
Organization as the first-line treatment and have contributed
substantially to the recent decline in malaria cases in many regions.
Prof Nosten says the current spread of resistancecould be similar to
what happened in the 1970s with chloroquine, a drug that was once a
front-line treatment against the disease.
"When chloroquine resistance reached Africa in the middle of the 1970s
it translated into a large increase in the number of cases and the
number of children who died increased dramatically."
In a separate paper published in the journal Science researchers have
identified a region of the malaria parasite genome that is linked to
resistance to artemisinin.
Dr Tim Anderson, from Texas Biomed who led this study, says that while
mapping the geographical spread of resistance can be challenging it
may be hugely beneficial.
"If we can identify the genetic determinants of artemisinin resistance
we should be able to confirm potential cases of resistance more
rapidly. This could be critically important for limiting the further
spread of resistance."
According to the World Malaria Report 2011 malaria was responsible
forkilling an estimated 655,000 people in 2010 - more than one every
minute. A majority of thesewere young children and pregnant women/

Health

Sanjana Praveen Shivanka is 20 months old and has severe combined
immunodeficiency (SCID). The Sri Lankan 'bubble baby', suffered from a
condition which forced himto live in a sterile environment as his
immune system was seriously compromised. Like 16 other boys in his
mother's family including his two older siblings, he inherited the
condition. He is the first one to survive.
Praveen came a year ago to Chennai with funds raised by well-wishers
in Sri Lanka for treatment.
The first bone marrow transplant came from his father, but as it was
only a half match, it left him weakwithin a few months. He was
frequently hospitalised and soon he weighed less than what heweighed
at birth.
Praveen returned to India and the second time, he received an
umbilical cord blood stem cell transplant from a Taiwanese donor. A
third transplant, done four months ago, has cured himof the genetic
disease. Praveen is weak and though he will survive, he must be
protected from infection for several years to help him grow strong.
Finding a match for Praveen was a humungoustask that involved a lot of
money. The boy's father makes mattresses in Ratnapura, a town three
hours drive from Colombo. The entire treatment cost his family Rs. 80
lakh (around Rs. 1.50 crore in SriLankan currency).
"The first transplant was only a half match. It was necessary to have
a 100 per cent Human Leukocyte Antigen match to build his immune
system.
The perfect match for Praveen came from a Taiwanese cord blood donor
and we had to pay$8,000 for it. If we were to import it from a
US-based cord blood bank we would have paid $45,000. It is because we
went through the Indian branch of the US-based cord blood bank that
the cost was reduced,"said Revathi Raj, consultantpaediatric
haematologist, Apollo Specialty Hospital, who has been treating the
toddler for the past year.
Only 30 per cent of the time are cord blood stem cell transplants from
familymembers. The rest of the time, the transplants are from
unrelated donors. "The advantage of using cord blood stem cells is
that the child needs to be protected from infection for a shorter time
as withinthree weeks the body produces new cells," Dr. Revathi
explained.
Although cord blood stem cell transplantation is donein some centres
in India it is mostly unaffordable. Families have taken huge loans
hoping to save their children's lives. Stem cells are retrieved from
cord blood that is discarded as biological waste after childbirth. The
blood can be stored for 25 years and the stem cells recovered from it
can be used to treata variety of blood disorders.
There are a few cord blood banks even in India but given the large
number of childbirths in the country, ifwe set up a public cord blood
bank by investing a few lakh rupees we will be able to treat
conditions such as bone marrow failure, thalassemia and sickle cell
anaemia, Dr. Revathi says.
Stem cell transplantation isnow a common treatment option for
leukaemia. But, families often have to take huge loans for treatment
as cord blood is difficult to access.
For instance, Vikram (namechanged) took a loan of Rs.45 lakh for his
son, who had ALL and AML leukaemia. During the course of his child's
treatment for leukaemia atApollo Hospital, which lasted six years (the
child was diagnosed with the disease when he was a year old) he moved
severaljobs in search of money to cover treatment costs.
In one company, the healthinsurance was large enough to cover hospital
expenses but the two cord blood stem cell transfusions that his child
required cost him Rs. 12 lakh. He took several bank loans besides an
advance from his workplace.

High Blood Pressure

High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, can be a tricky
medical issue because it typically goes unnoticed. According to the
Mayo Clinic, the majority of individuals whosuffer from hypertension
have no signs until their blood pressure reaches dangerous levels.
When high blood pressure symptoms do occur, they include headaches,
nosebleeds and dizzy spells.
The Mayo Clinic recommends seeing a doctor before high blood pressure
symptoms occur. The best way to monitor your blood pressure is to have
your doctor track your readings on an annualbasis. Individuals who
havebeen diagnosed with high blood pressure may requirefrequent
screenings. Ideal blood pressure ratings depend on the person's age
and health history. However, a healthy adult typically has a reading
somewhere around 140/90.
There are several options to treat high blood pressure. First and
foremost, taking a look at your lifestyle and adjustingyour habits can
help ward off or control hypertension.Additionally, you doctor may
prescribe a combination of the following medications: thiazide
diluretics (water pills), beta blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme
(ACE) inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blockers, rennin inhibitors,
and calcium blockers. In extreme cases, it may also be appropriate to
prescribevasodilators, central-acting agents, alpha-beta blockersor
alpha-blockers to combat hypertension. Lastly, once your hypertension
is under control, your physician mayinstruct you to take an aspirin a
day to reduce your overall risk of cardiovascular disease. Please
note, only your doctor can properly diagnose and treat your high blood
pressure symptoms/

FROM THE HOLY QUR'AN
"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley
without cultivation, by Thy SacredHouse; in order, O our Lord, that
they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among
men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they
may give thanks.( Quran [Surah Ibrahim'14:37] )

The Meaning of the Verse:
My God, I left some of my family in this valley by Your Holy Mosque.
PleaseGod, make them perform their prayers, and let the hearts of
people go to them, and support them with the means of living that they
may be thankful.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD P.B.U.H HADITH OF ZAM ZAM WATER

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said "The best water on the face of the
earth is the water of Zamzam; it is a kind of food and a healing from
sickness." (Saheeh al-Jaami', 3302).
The Messenger of Allah, salallahu alayhe wa sallam has said:" The most
sublime of all earthly waters is that of zamzam; therein one finds
food for the hungry and medicne for the ill." [ At- Tabarani ]
It was reported in SaheehMuslim that the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) said to Abu Dharr, who had stayed near the
Ka'bah and its coverings for fortydays and nights with no food or
drink other than (Zamzam): "How long have you been here?" Abu Dharr
said: "I have been here for thirty days and nights." The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,"Who has been feeding
you?" He said, "I have had nothing but Zamzamwater, and I have gotten
so fat that I have folds of fat on my stomach. I do not feel any of
the tiredness or weakness of hunger and I have not become thin." The
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Verily,
itis blessed, it is food that nourishes." (Narrated by Imaam Muslim,
2473).
NAMES OF ZAMZAM
Zamzam water was named "ZAMZAM" because of the abundance of its water.
Itwas also said because it collects. Another reason was that Hajjar
said: "Zam, zam" which meansstay in one place.

Other Names of Zamzam:

The drink of Ismael from Allah
The Lady
The Blessing
The Useful
The Tidings
The Pure
The Preventive
The Faultless
The Fortunate
The Blessed
The Satiable
The Healthy
The Nourishment
The Clean
The Potable
THE ETIQUETTE AND HOW TO DRINKING ZAMZAM WATER

Ibn Abbas reported: I served. (water of) zamzam to Allah's Messenger
(may peace be upon him), and he drank it while standing. (Book #023,
Hadith#5023)
Ibn 'Abbas reported: I served (water from) zamzam to Allah's Messenger
(may peace be upon him), and he drank while standing, and he asked for
it while he was near the House (i.e. House of Allah-Ka'ba). (Book
#023, Hadith#5026)
Narrated Ibn Abbas: I gave zam-zam water to Allah's Apostle and he
drank it while standing.
Asia (a sub-narrator) saidthat Ikrima took the oath that on that day
the Prophet had not been standing but riding a camel. Sahih
Bukhari(Book #26, Hadith #701)
Conclusion is:

* Face the direction of the Qiblah.
* Say the Name of Allah.
* Thank Allah Almighty.
THE BEST WATER

Zamzam water is the bestin the Universe. And Al-Kawthar Water is the
best in the Next Life.
Some scholars stated thatthe best water ever was the one that came
through the fingers of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), followed by Zamzam
water, then Al-Kawthar Water, then the River Nile water and then the
rest of the rivers.
Zamzam well is located 18 meters from the Black Stone to the East of
the door of the Ka'ba, behindMaqam Ibrahim.
It is clearly marked by a sign: "ZAMZAM WATER WELL" which is 156 cm
above the actual well, under the Mattaf.
SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS OF ZAMZAM WATER

In 1908 and 1973, chemical analyses were performed and proved that
Zamzam water is indeed free of germs or pollutants. It is considered a
mineral water, as its mineral content is 2000 mg/litre. It contained
the following minerals: Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, among many others.
Zamzam is the richest mineral water with Calcium (200 mg/litre). The
Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was truthful when he said: "Zamzam is the feed
of Hunger".
Chemical tests proved that Zamzam water is exceptionally pure and has
neither colour nor taste. By international health standards,
especially those of the World Health Organization, Zamzam water is
perfectly potable, has good health results and has a high sodium
content.
It was also discovered that by the Will of God Almighty, on
evaporation, mineral content of Zamzam increases, however it hasno
adverse results on health, on the contrary, itis extremely beneficial.
All the above tests proved that Zamzam water is pure and potable as
per international standards, and can only confirm the miracles of the
Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), whom Allah had said: "NOR DOES HE SPEAK OUT
OF CAPRICE. IT IS NOTHINGBUT A REVELATION REVEALED (QUR'AN)"
SuratAn-Nijm (3-4)

persistent (longer than 15 minutes), and does not ease with rest. The
pain is sometimes mistaken for indigestion. Note that in some cases,
heart attacks are painless.
Profuse sweating
Difficulty breathing
Feeling dizzy or light-headed
Nausea
Pale, clammy skin
The pulse may be fast or irregular.
The person may suddenly collapse and lose consciousness
First aid for heart attack!!!!!!!!! !!!
Encourage the person to sitstill, with knees bent to ease strain on the heart.
Talk to him calmly and reassuringly, and loosen any tight clothing.
Monitor any changes in condition.
The person should take one aspirin with water (Unless he is allergic
