*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Determined prayer is the key to destiny

There are various elements in life you come face to face with every day and that you imagine you know and understand very well; so much so that you imagine it would be impossible to understand the majority of them any better than you do already. But that is not always true. Sometimes you may hear a different account or witness something that leads to a brand new door, a new horizon you had never contemplated before, opening up on a subject you thought you knew so well. Your whole perspective changes, not only momentarily but fundamentally. You acquire a new perspective on that long familiar subject, as if you were encountering it for the first time.
One of these subjects about which one constantly acquires a new and more profound conception during the various stages of one’s life is ‘prayer.’ A believer knows that Allah will heed all prayers, and trusts in that truth with all his heart. But the more a person’s closeness to Allah, depth of faith and understanding of destiny grow, the more his perspective toward prayer deepens and is perfected. Although he knows the verses of the Qur’an very well, the spiritual power that Allah instills in his heart through those verses constantly increases whenever he reads them again. And for someone who is determined in faith, this situation is repeated constantly until the end of his life.
One piece of knowledge regarding prayer that will again be instrumental in the opening of his heart when he hears it is that prayer ‘is the key to destiny.’ This is part of the law of Allah. When Muslims beseech Allah with love and passion, by His leave, what they desire will come about.
This is a secret mystery of Allah that very few people are aware of. When one prays, Allah’s destiny goes into motion. Mass prayer especially has a particular power; when Muslims request something determinedly and en masse , and when they embrace natural causes, then by Allah’s leave, something that people thought would never happen does in fact come to pass. Allah has created the world by that law.
Allah is He Who heeds every prayer
Allah has cited many examples in the Qur’an so that people can understand this secret of destiny: the Prophet Jonah (pbuh) frequently prayed to Allah from inside the stomach of the whale, and Allah rescued him in an incomparable manner. When the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and his people were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea, the Prophet Moses (pbuh) prayed to Allah in full submission, and Allah created a miraculous escape for him and his people. Rasulullah (saas) placed all his trust in the infinite might of Allah when he and a friend were in the cave, and Allah spared him from the traps of the unbelievers and granted him victory. In the same way, when the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) was thrown down the well, Allah in His infinite mercy sent him help. Allah again manifested His infinite mercy when the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) was about to be cast into the flames, and made them cool for him. The Prophet Zechariah (pbuh) prayed to Allah, and despite their advanced age, he and his wife were blessed by Allah with the birth of the Prophet John (pbuh).
Some of the verses of the Qur’an that reveal how Allah heeds the sincere calls of His prophets are as follows:
Jonah too was one of the messengers. When he ran away to the fully laden shipand cast lots and lost. Then the fish devoured him and he was to blame. Had it not been that he was a man who glorified Allah, he would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are raised again. So We cast him up onto the beach and he was sick; and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. We sent him to a hundred thousand or even more. They believed and so We gave them enjoyment for a time. (Surat as-Saffat, 139-148)
And when the two hosts came into sight of one another Moses’ companions said, “We will surely be overtaken!” He said, “Never! My Lord is with me and He will guide me.” So We revealed to Moses, “Strike the sea with your staff.” And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There is certainly a sign in that yet most of them are not believers. (Surat ash-Shu‘ara’, 61-67)
If you do not help him, Allah did help him when the unbelievers drove him out and there were two of them in the Cave. He said to his companion, “Do not be despondent, Allah is with us.” Then Allah sent down His serenity upon him and reinforced him with troops you could not see. He made the word of the unbelievers undermost. It is the word of Allah which is uppermost. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat at-Tawba, 40)
When they declared, “Why! Joseph and his brother are dearer to our father than we are although we constitute a powerful group. Our father is clearly making a mistake. Kill Joseph or expel him to some land so that your father will look to you alone and then you can be people who do right.” (Surah Yusuf, 8-9)
But when, in fact, they did go out with him and gathered all together and agreed to put him at the bottom of the well, We then revealed to him that: “You will inform them of this deed they perpetrate at a time when they are totally unaware.” (Surah Yusuf, 15)
Some travelers came that way and then dispatched their water- drawer who let his bucket down. He said, “Good news for me, I’ve found a boy!” They then hid him away among their goods. Allah knew very well what they were doing. They sold him for a pittance, a few small coins, considering him to be of little worth. (Surah Yusuf, 19-20)
The Egyptian who had bought him told his wife, “Look after him with honor and respect. It’s possible he will be of use to us or perhaps we might adopt him as a son.” And thus We established Joseph in the land to teach him the true meaning of events. Allah is in control of His affair. However, most of mankind do not know. And then when he became a full-grown man, We gave him knowledge and right judgement too. That is how We reward all doers of good. (Surah Yusuf, 21-22)
They said, “Who has done this to our gods? He is definitely one of the wrongdoers!” They said, “We heard a young man mentioning them. They call him Abraham.” They said, “Bring him before the people’s eyes so they can be witnesses.” (Surat al- Anbiya’, 59-61)
They said, “Burn him and support your gods if you are resolved to do something.” We said, “Fire, be coolness and peace for Abraham!” They desired to trap him but We made them the losers. (Surat al- Anbiya’, 68-70)
And Zechariah when he called out to his Lord, “My Lord, do not leave me on my own, though You are the Best of Inheritors.” We responded to him and gave him John, restoring for him his wife’s fertility. They outdid one another in good actions, calling out to Us in yearning and in awe, and humbling themselves to Us. (Surat al- Anbiya’, 89-90)
Then and there Zechariah called on his Lord and said, “O Lord, grant me by Your favor an upright child. You are the Hearer of Prayer.” The angels called out to him while he was standing in prayer in the Upper Room: “Allah gives you the good news of John, who will come to confirm a Word from Allah, and will be a leader and a celibate, a Prophet and one of the righteous.” He said, “My Lord, how can I possibly have a son when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?” He said, “It will be so. Allah does whatever He wills.” (Surah Al ‘Imran, 38-40)
Some people who encounter similar situations to these cited in the Qur’an in their own lives fall into the error of thinking that “it is impossible” for their prevailing circumstances to ever change. Since their attitude is essentially one of despair and lack of faith, they fail to properly appreciate the might of Allah and do not pray to Him with a genuine and absolute submission to Him. And this stems from these people being unaware of the secret of determined prayer, and being unaware that prayer is the key to destiny.
Yet if Allah so wishes He can immediately make those things that people mistakenly think of as “impossible” a reality. In the same way that Allah sent His help to messengers and true believers in the past, and that situations regarded as “impossible” were made a reality, so this also applies to the lives of everyone today.
Praying with absolute faith
Everyone may face situations wherein they may truly want from Allah but that look impossible to happen. But people must never be deceived under these circumstances. It is very important not to forget that prayer is the key to destiny and that when one prays, so Allah’s destiny goes into motion, and thus to beseech Allah with an absolute faith. In the same way that our Lord smoothed the way for the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and helped the prophets Jonah (pbuh), Abraham (pbuh) and Zechariah (pbuh), so all sincere Muslims hope for Him to respond to their prayers with mercy.
Of course, however, a believer who really wants something to happen must frequently call on Allah, just like the Prophet Jonah (pbuh) and must, just like our Prophet Muhammad (saas) and the Prophet Moses (pbuh), say “Of course, our Lord is with us,” without losing heart under even the most difficult of conditions; he must trust in Allah’s might with a powerful faith, feeling no doubts at all. And then the secret in prayer will come about and, by Allah’s leave, destiny will begin to work in the desired direction.
The great Islamic scholar Imam Rabbani reminds believers of this great and certain truth in the following passage:
"To ask for something is to obtain it; because Almighty Allah will not allow His servant to utter a prayer that He will not heed." (Imam Rabbani)

Wisdoms in raindrops

· Why does rain not fall in the form of a mass like a waterfall but fall as single drops?
· What is the shape and size of raindrops?
· Why does rain not heat up due to friction force and fall in the form of boiling water?
Every year, approximately 45 million cubic meters of water vaporize from the oceans. The vaporized water is turned into clouds and moved to the land via winds. So every year between three and four cubic meters of water moves from the oceans to the lands, meaning where we live. Water, which people cannot control the circulation of and cannot live without it, is sent specially. Also there are many wonders about the formation of water and its fall onto the ground. In the Qur’an, Allah reveals the erudite characteristics of the rain, which is one of the clearest signs that a person should be “thankful”, as such:
" Have you thought about the water that you drink? Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or are We the Sender? If We wished We could have made it bitter,so will you not give thanks? " (Surat al-Waqi‘a , 68-70)
It is Allah’s Mercy That Rain Falls Drop by Drop From the Clouds
One of the wonders Allah created in rain is that rain does not fall onto the ground in the form of a large water mass like waterfalls. If rain fell on the ground in this form, it would not be possible for people to continue their daily lives during rainy seasons and floods would form during every rainfall. These floods would drag away everything in front of them and cause serious damage, both material and spiritual. However, due to the laws of physics created by our Almighty Lord, it falls on the ground in drops and by decreasing its speed turns into the precious water that is the source of life for all beings.
The reason that rain falls in drops is that water droplets are formed inside clouds. As is known, a cloud is formed by water vapor being thickened with dust and electrically positive charged particles. The diameter of these particles are generally between one and ten microns. (1 micron = 0.001 millimeters.) When clouds move upwards at a certain speed (1-10 meters/sec), they take water droplets with them naturally. As the water droplets rise up, they get bigger as their volume increases. Two or more droplets unite and form a rain drop. The air can no longer carry these drops and the rain drops begin to fall to the ground.
Since big drops fall faster than small drops until they reach a fixed speed, big drops and small drops crash and unite. Drops, which get bigger through crashing and uniting, encounter air resistance which distorts the shape of the water drop, spreads and turns into many small droplets in a short time, something on the order of six hundreths of a second. Since the speeds of drops of the same size are the same, and they move in the same direction, they do not crash with one another.
Raindrops Slow Down When Falling On the Ground by Our Lord’s Inspiration
One of the wonders our Almighty Lord created in raindrops is certainly the falling speed of rain. When an object of the same size and weight as a raindrop is left from a height of 1,200 meters, it would get faster gradually and fall on the ground with a speed of almost 558 kilometers per hour. If the raindrop would fall from this height in the same way, this time all crops would be destroyed, places of settlement, houses and cars would be damaged and people would not be able to walk without taking necessary precautions. However, such an incident never occurs; no matter how high a distance raindrops fall from, when they reach the ground their speeds are only eight to ten kilometers per hour. The reason for this is that the raindrop has a shape that increases the frictional force of the atmosphere and makes it fall slower. If the raindrop had another shape, or if the atmosphere had no friction force, it would be enough to take a look at these numbers to see the disasters the world would face every time it rained.
The minimum height of rain clouds is 1,200 meters. The effect of a single drop that falls from this height is equal to the fall of a one kilogram weight from a height of 15 centimeters.
There are also rain clouds up to 10,000 meters high. This time a single drop would have the same effect of a one kilogram weight falling from 110 centimeters high and thus people would need to take shelter by taking major precautions.
As it is seen, Allah defines the falling speed of rain and makes rain beneficial for all beings:
" And We sent down blessed water from the sky and made gardens grow by it and grain for harvesting " (Surah Qaf, 9)
Rain Not Being Hot is Allah’s Mercy Over His Servants
If rain drops got heated owing to the effect of friction force and fell on earth in the form of boiling water, life would never happen. However, rainwater is cold to maintain life due to our Lord’s knowledge and mercy for His servants.
As it was told previously, after rainwater is separated from the cloud it speeds as it falls down. As raindrops fall down with the effect of gravity due to their weight, the air’s resistance tries to hold it up at the same time. The droplet speeds up until the air resistance is equal to the force of gravity that affects the drop. The speed when they are equal is the terminal speed, and the droplet continues its journey down at this fixed speed. When the droplet goes down, it becomes heated due to friction. However, this temperature is used for the vaporization of the droplet. Vaporization causes cooling on the surface of the droplet. Thus, a droplet gets smaller as it falls down, but it does not get hot. Therefore, the droplet is not hot and it does not rain scalding hot water from the skies.
Almighty Allah reveals that He controls the rain and turns it into a life source for people and all living things in one verse:
" It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and from it come the shrubs among which you graze your herds. " (Surat an-Nahl, 10)
Fertilizing Feature of the Rain
Rain is an important fertilizer. Even poor soil can gather all the elements plants need within a century, even through fertilizers that come via the rain. Forests also grow and feed with the help of these sea-origin aerosols. In this way, 150 million tons of fertilizers fall on earth’s surface every year. Without this natural process of fertilization, there would be very little flora on earth and the balance of life would be distorted.
It is a great blessing of our Almighty Lord that He sends a certain amount of water down from the sky, that this water has is drinkable and can revive a dead region. In one verse, our Lord’s knowledge of creation is revealed as such
“ Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the sky and threads it through the earth to emerge as springs and then by it brings forth crops of varying colors, which then wither and you see them turning yellow and then He makes them into broken stubble? There is a reminder in that for people of intelligence.” (Surat az-Zumar, 21)
The source of rainwater is vaporization and 97% of vaporization occurs in “salty” waters. However, rainwater is sweet. The reason that rainwater is sweet is another law that Allah sets. According to this law, water does not carry any other foreign substance no matter if it is vaporized from saline seas, mineral lakes or mud flats. As it is revealed in the verse, "We send down from heaven pure water..." (Surat al-Furqan, 48), it falls on the ground in a clear and clean form.
Clouds That Form the Rains Are the Examples of Allah’s Art of Variety:
In the Qur’an, verses about the clouds, which have great importance in the formation of rain, give information about the variety in Allah’s creation as well:
" It is Allah Who sends the winds which stir up clouds which He spreads about the sky however He wills. He forms them into dark clumps and you see the rain come pouring out from the middle of them. When He makes it fall on those of His slaves He wills, they rejoice, " (Surat ar-Rum, 48)
The size of a mid-sized cloud with a diameter of half a kilometer is four billion cubic meters and there is 1.5 million kilograms of water inside
No cloud is the same with another in terms of shape and size. This is because there are so many factors such as air flows that affect their formations, temperature, pressure, the amount of dust in the air and so forth, so it is not possible to obtain the same conditions in two locations in the atmosphere, which is very changeable.
Water, which vaporizes from the heating ground, rises up to the sky in the form of light, minute water vapor. As pressure decreases and air gets cold at a certain height, they become small water dropletss and form the clouds. At the start, the diameter of these drops is a few microns. (a typical human hair is 100 microns.) For the formation of an average raindrop, millions of these have to unite.
Even though clouds are very heavy, the reason that they can stay hung in the sky is that these drops are very small. If there is at least 1,000 tons of water inside a cloud, the size of this air is one thousand times heavier than this. Therefore, clouds travel in the sky, until the raindrops inside them grow and fall onto the ground by getting heavy. Actually, since the formation of raindrops continues while it is raining, they do not get lost suddenly by emptying the water inside the cloud.
The raindrops that are formed first are very small. Thus they reflect the sunlight directly and such clouds appear as white. As these drops unite and get bigger, meaning thicker, they reflect the light less. Therefore, rain clouds are dark, gray and sometimes even close to black in color.

Women Site, - (Hijaab) - Hijaab protects against corruption

Allaah The Almighty Says )what means(:}O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves ]part[ of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allaah Forgiving and Merciful.{]Quran 33:59[
Consider with me how Allaah The Almighty starts with the wives and daughters of Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam. He starts with the chaste, pure, righteous, ascetic women, whom He commands to adhere to Hijaab )Islamic covering( and put on the outer garment, and forbade to display their beauty or expose themselves, as they are the Mothers of the Believers and the mistresses of the women of Paradise. Moreover, from which men were they commanded to veil and screen themselves? From the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, may Allaah be pleased with them, the possessors of pure and chaste hearts.
Then, what do you think, my sister, of the men and women of our days? What do you think of those who spend long hours watching the channels of corruption and destruction, and their hearts are replete with love for shameful desires, and they are about to lose their minds longing to meet a lover, seeing a beautiful girl, or hearing the voice of a girlfriend?
By Him in whose Hand is my soul, the command to adhere to Hijaab should be adhered to with greater strictness these days; and you are responsible before Allaah The Almighty, for you are a source of Fitnah )trial(, which is the greatest Fitnah on the Ummah )nation( of Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam. He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam, said:"I have not left after me a Fitnah more harmful to men than women."
In these days, the hearts of men are diseased, except for him upon whom my Lord bestows mercy, and how few are they! Their eyes turn here and there in the communities of women, and their souls are longing for evil and corruption. Amidst that, the girl displays her adornment and exposes the beauty of her body to ignite the fire of Fitnah in their chests, and urge them to come close to her and fall, along with her, into corruption and shame. Then, in the end, that young man comes out to wash the dirt and impurities of his actions with the water of repentance, and starts a new life, that is if he has a living heart that fears the punishment of Allaah The Almighty. But as for you, you would remain a source of shame on yourself and your family, and the community would never forgive for you your slip, nor overlook your crime; even if you wash your heart with the water of repentance and return to Allaah The Almighty, who will wash away the damage and destruction that will have afflicted your body?
I think you understand what I mean. So, please be careful before it is too late and before you fall and, subsequently, are filled with regret. But at that time, neither regret nor weeping, nor grief nor tears would benefit you.
A pious woman once said, "The rational person, is the one who considers the current state of women nowadays and would consequently burn with grief, dissolve in shyness, be burnt with agony, and blaze with pain. The believing hearts have the right to rupture in pain, and the sincere eyes to shed blood. How could a faithful believer feel the pleasure of food and drink, how could he rejoice in cheerfulness and sleep in comfort while he sees what embitters the bodies, tears and breaks the hearts? It seems that those women have realized the hope of the Jew Oskar Levi when he said, 'We, Jews, are but masters and corruptors of this world, rousers and harbingers of trials and the ones who inflict pain.'
The Jews have a long history of destroying nations through women. The Islamic Sharee‘ah )Islamic legislation( has taken excellent care of the Muslim woman, which ensures the maintenance of her chastity and has made her cherished and lofty. The conditions imposed upon her in her adornment and clothing are only meant to eliminate the means that lead to corruption. That is not to restrict her freedom, but rather to protect her from falling to the bottom of abasement and the mire of degradation.
The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam, said:"Indeed Allaah is Bashful and the Sitteer )Concealer of faults(, and He loves )that His servants should adhere to( bashfulness and concealment )of faults(."]Abu Daawood and An-Nasaa‘i["
The war is being waged against you, my dear sister, and you are its target and aim. Our enemies from the West hold long sessions to design attractive fashionable clothes for you, in order to bewitch the minds, dazzle the sights and cause hearts to be fascinated by you. Do you know what these clothes are for? It is for your Abaaya that was imposed on you to screen your body and divert eyes from you, causing you to live a chaste and pure life.
They have drawn you in to get you to remove your Hijaab, achieving victory over you, and to make you leave your house uncovered, bare-faced and displaying your beauty, having removed your modesty before you removed your outer garment.
In his lecture, "The Story of an Abaaya", Shaykh Muhammad Al-Habdaan, may Allaah protect him, shows the gradual approach made to drive women into removing their Hijaab:
They began with the step of a transparent chiffon Abaaya and continued along these lines for a long time, after which they moved to another step, i.e., the short Abaaya, until when a long time passed and the believing hearts took the initiative to revive the )traditional( long Abaaya, they were disturbed by it, but said, "No problem! Let it be long, but with lace at its ends." They paused a little at that step, and when they found none objected, but rather a lot of women admired it, and increasingly bought it, then, let the model of the on-shoulder Abaaya come into existence, since it is easier for the woman and religion is to make things easy.
After that, the gate was opened wide, and a torrent of afflictions started to pour in, once by a variety of laces on the right and on the left )of the Abaaya(, and once by the broad decorative bands of glittering beads, followed by beautiful embellishments to make the hand look more beautiful, and then the Abaaya with lace and with embroidery on the front and on the back, ending with the Abaaya with various colors."
They also added many different colors like yellow, red, green, and orange. Some of them designed an Abaaya for the bride, another for university, a third for school, a fourth for a soiree and a fifth for a physician.
What makes matters worse, burns the heart, and causes the eye to shed tears is that the ones who design those clothes for the various purposes are Muslim women: we ask Allaah The Almighty to guide them, and return them to Him with good return. They have indeed abandoned their religion, manners and )real( beauty, and forgotten, or seemed to forget, that the woman's head cover beautifies her and increases her in reverence and elegance, in so much as when she enters Paradise )we ask Allaah The Almighty to make us among its inhabitants(, she would beautify herself for her husband therein with that head cover.
It is narrated in a particular Hadeeth )prophetic narration(:"And indeed a woman )of Paradise('s head cover on her head is better than this world and what it contains."
According to the narration of Imaam Ahmad, may Allaah have mercy upon him:"And the head cover of a woman from Paradise is better than this world and the like of it along with it."
According to the narration of Al-Bazzaar and Ibn Abi Ad-Dunya, may Allaah have mercy upon them:"… and if one of the Hoor )maidens( reveals her head cover, the sun would seem, compared to its beauty, like a lightless wick in the sun."
If this beauty lies only in the head cover, then, what about the beauty of she who wears the head cover? Exalted be Allaah Who made all things perfect! On the occasion of mentioning the headcover, let me say to her who has abandoned it, let alone the headcover and full Hijaab: consider how the head cover is among the elements of beauty on the head of the Hoor in Paradise, whereas many of you argue to abstain from wearing it, saying that she does not look fashionable in it, and that it does not suit her; and another argues that she will wear it after marriage. But at the same time, another, astonishingly, puts on the head cover for she sees, as she states, her beauty, intelligence and personality in it. To this latter, let me say, "Make )this deed( for )the countenance of( Allaah The Almighty, since the )rewards of( deeds depend on intentions."
Do you have any doubt, after this, about the obligation of covering the face?
