*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Dua in Sujood

Is it essential that the du'aa's recited in prayer beproven in the Sunnah?
When praying, if the worshipper bows and prostrates for a long time,
does he have to recite all the adhkaar that are narrated from the
Prophet(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or canhe say
whatever du'aa' he likes?.
Praise be to Allaah.
There is nothing wrong with a worshipper saying whatever du'aa' he
wants in his prayer, those that are narrated in the Sunnah– which are
the best and most comprehensive of du'aa's – or any kind of
permissible du'aa' that he wishes.
The one who recites du'aas that are narrated insharee'ah will be
rewarded for following what is narrated in sharee'ah, and he will be
rewarded for his du'aa'.
Among the texts which show that du'aa' in general is permissible is
the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):
"Then let him choose whatever supplications he wishes." According to
another report: "Then let him choose whatever du'aa' he likes and say
it." Narrated by al-Bukhaari (835) and Muslim (402). This was narrated
concerning du'aa'before the salaam at the end of the prayer.
Shaykh 'Abd al-'Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
It is prescribed for the believer to say du'aa' during his prayer in
the places when du'aa' is allowed, whether the prayer is obligatory or
supererogatory (naafil). The places where du'aa' is allowed are
prostration, between the two prostrations and at the end of the prayer
after thetashahhud and blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) and before the tasleem, as it is proven that
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray
forforgiveness between the two prostrations and it is proven that he
used to saybetween the two prostrations: "Allaahumma ighfir li
wa'rhamni wa'hdini wa'jburni wa'rzuqni wa 'aafini."
(O Allaah, forgive me, havemercy on me, guide me, enrich me, grant me
provision and keep me safe and sound).
And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "As for
bowing, glorify the Lord therein, and as for prostrating, strive hard
in du'aa' therein because it is more likely that you will receive a
response." Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh. Muslim also narrated from
Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating,
so say a lot of du'aa' then."
In al-Saheehayn it is narrated from 'Abd-Allaah ibn Mas'ood (may
Allaah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) taught him the tashahhud he said: "Then let him
choose whateversupplications he wishes." According to another report:
"Then let him choose whatever du'aa' he likes and say it."
There are many ahaadeeththat speak of this, and they indicate that it
is prescribed to say du'aa' in these places in the prayer, whether it
has to do with the Hereafter or with worldly matters, so long as the
du'aa' does not involve any sin or severingof family ties. And it is
better to say a lot of du'aa's that were narratedfrom the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). End quote.
Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (11/171, 172).
He (may Allaah have mercy on him) also said:
There is nothing wrong with saying du'aa' during prayer, whether that
is for oneself or for one's parents or anyone else. Rather that is
prescribed, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: "The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is
prostrating, so say a lot of du'aa' then." … Then he quoted the
ahaadeeth that we have mentioned above, then he said:
So if he says du'aa' when he is prostrating or at the end of the
prayer, for himself or for his parents or for the Muslims, there
isnothing wrong with that, because of the general meaning of these
ahaadeeth and others. Endquote.
Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (11/173, 174).
And Allaah knows best.

The moments spent in praying tahajjud are some of the most blissful
moments that you will ever experience..and this will be only when you
understand the surahs you recite and recite them as if you are having
a conversation with Allah - Most High! :) Make sure that you have in
your minda biiiig list of du'aas, requests, confessions, and yeah even
complaints that you can make/present to Allah in your sujood. :) A
person is closest to Allah in the position of sujood so make full use
of this in your night prayer! And experience the delight, peace &
satisfaction! In short...as my teachers say:"experience the sweetness
of eeman!" ♥ Insha Allah!

ISLAMIC ARTICLE -:- Cleanliness Prerequisite for Prayer

Cleanliness Prerequisite for Prayer
Allah's Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The Salaat
(prayer) ofa person who does Hadath (passes urine, stool or wind) is
not accepted till heperforms (repeats) the Wudhu (ablution)."
[Bukhari]
"O you who believe! When you intend to offer prayer, wash your faces
and your hands up to the elbows, lightly rub (by passing wet hands
over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. If you are in
a state of Janaba, purify yourselves (bathe your whole body)." [Surah
al-Maidah: Ayat 6]
The method that Islam has adopted to keep the body clean and tidy all
the time is in accordance with man'smaterial temperament andnature. If
man were merelya bundle of spirit or soul, there would have been no
necessity of bathing, washing and cleaning the body. But since he
lives in the material cover made ofearth's elements, breathes on this
earth, makes use of its vegetables and minerals, and leaves the
excreta of his stomach on it, Islam has made Wudhu (ablution) and
Ghusl (bathing) compulsory for man so that he may keep clean of filth.

Story - - life n style - Wild wild South

Stunning views and sauntering rhinos. Wonderful waterfalls and roaring
lions. Here are the scenes from South Africa aswe drive from
Johannesburg to Kruger
In hallowed antiquity when the Big Bang was recent history and the
Earth was still a molten gaseous mass and finding its shape and
solidity, it is in Mpumalanga that the first stones of the earth's
crust cooled. Today Mpumalanga wears its age beautifully and driving
through this province of South Africa is, well, a collection of
breathtaking moments strung together.
I know this because, instead of flying from Johannesburg to Kruger
like most tourists do, I travelled by road through this province. It
was a good decision because though Mpumalanga is South Africa's
smallest province, its size isn't a yardstick for the excitement it
holds within its boundaries.
The first 200 km of the drive from Johannesburg were pretty
uneventful; it is after Dullstroom on R540that the drive started
making me gape around frequently. And this continued for the next 10
days that I spent from Dullstroom to Kruger. I spent my first
afternoon fly-fishing at a beautiful resort set in woodland with many
secluded lakes where guests can fish in peace. I caught three trout in
15 minutes. It was the perfect wind-down after a nine-hour flight
followed by a four-hour drive.
Beautiful landscapes
I spent the next two days driving across beautiful landscapes and
stopping by at wonderful waterfalls and hidden swimming holes.
Eventually, I got to Hazyview, close to the Kruger National Park.
Since I had the next day to relax at my hotel and enjoy the spa, I
promptly forsook that and was at Kruger Park's Phabeni Gate with my
little car at 6 a.m.
Kruger has such wide tarmac roads that I forgot Iwas driving in a
wildlife park — till a gentle reminder came my way in the form of a
2.5-ton double-horned rhinoceros that stepped onto the roadfrom the
foliage. I braked, and the rhino turned and sized up my car. It seemed
as if he were using the tip of his horn as an aiming device. But then
he perhaps decided the car was too inconsequential for his time and
effort, and ambled on. Thank heavens — he would have gone through my
car like a knitting needle through a grocery bag.
Kruger also has unsealed roads smooth enough for cars. On one of these
(RoadS10), I stopped at a kopje to take in the view, and a full-grown
angry lion stepped on to it and gave me a deep throated roar that
rattled the windows of my car and sent a chill down my spine.
Apparently, he was telling me to move on because a lioness also coyly
peeped out from behind the scrub on the kopje.
My two days before the last were in the Kruger area, and I spent these
at the very comfortable and luxurious lodge in the Sabi Sands Game
Reserve. This reserve has no fenced boundary with Kruger, so the game
move as they please between the two. On the game drives here with
naturalist Jonas and tracker Issac, I saw an entire bouquet of African
wildlife — lions, leopards, a brotherhood of buffaloes, plenty of
rhinos and huge elephants — at close quarters.
My final day in South Africawas an easy one in Hazyview. The lodge
here is a drop-dead romantic hideaway that features comfortable,
air-conditioned tents discretely strung out along a gently flowing
river. Its spa is a canopied affair on the river bank, and so instead
of artificial lounge music I had the gleeful sound of the river as it
tumbled over rocks and gurgled along to match theskilful ministrations
of Melissa, my masseur.
It was the perfect end to my Mpumalanga driving trip — like the lovely
soundtrack that accompanies the closing credits of a feel-good movie
in grand cinemascope — packed with drama, adventure andexcitement.
