* Did you know that tears contain a chemical, known as endorphins, which has a similar composition as morphine and heroin? Endorphins is also produced when we laugh. But getting back to tears, endorphins is the body's natural painkiller, for both physical and emotional pains. Which explains why we cry when in pain or distress.
