Foreigner slammed for throwing a 5-yr-old girl into swimming pool 2012-07-02 10:00:54 GMT 2012-07-02 18:00:54(Beijing Time) SINA.com

A New Zealander is being taken away by police aftertossing a young
girl into a swimming pool in Jinan, Shandong province, Sunday.

A New Zealand national, believed in his 50s, tossed a 5-year-old
Chinese girl into a swimming pool for"her bumping into him" inJinan,
capital city of E China's Shandong provinceon July 1, the provincial
newspaper Qilu Evening News reported.
The little girl's grandmother told reporters that the accidenthappened
in a hotel's swimming pool Sunday afternoon.
"It's intolerable," the girl's grandma said while speaking out her
indignation towards the foreigner's outrageous behavior.
The foreigner reportedly did this after the girl accidentally touched
him while swimming. A Chinese man managed to catch the falling girl,
who was not hurt but felt frightened and depressed after what
happened.
Witnesses say the girl's mother had a quarrel withthe New Zealander
after the incident. The foreignerreacted rudely, cursed in English and
even tried to start a fight.
The man was taken away by security. Local police said later that the
man is aforeign lecturer hired by a university.
Back in May, a video abouta Briton sexually harassinga Chinese woman
in the street went viral, angeringthe Chinese public. Soon after that
incident, Beijing made regulations banningillegal entry and stay of
some foreigners.

Praise of, and Thanks to Allah

Owner of Honour, I desire to begin
A limitless praise, with which You are Pleased
The author begins by praising Allah 'azza wa jall, as He is ought to be praised.
The Prophet – SallAllahu 'alaihi wa-sallam would begin his Khutbas by
praising Allah. The Quran starts by praising Allah in Surat al-Fatiha.
Hence, most of the scholars begin their works with Bismillah, and then
praising Allah.
Allah began the creation with praise, thus He said: 'Praise be to
Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darknesses
and light' (al-An'am 1)
Similarly, the end of the world will also be marked with Allah's
praise, as He said: 'And it will be judged between them in truth, and
it will be said: All praise to Allah, the Lord of the worlds'
(al-Zumar 75)
The Arabic word used for 'praise' is al-Hamd, an often repeated word
amongst Muslims, for when one is enquired how he is, the usual
response is:al-Hamdu liLlah, i.e. Praise be to Allah.
Al-Hamd refers to the act of praising, just as it refers to the praise
itself. Hamid , is the one who praises, while Mahmud is someone
praiseworthy. Muhammad, which comes from the same root, refers to
someone highly praiseworthy.
Praising someone means to refer to one's beloved by mentioning all of
his excellent qualities. But onecannot praise his beloved, unless and
until one knowsthose excellent qualities in the object of praise.
In case of Allah 'azza wa jall, His excellent qualities and bounties
are too numerous, as they are too obvious for anyone to deny or be
unmindful of. Hence, one of the names ofAllah 'azza wa jall is:
al-Hameed , which refers tothe one immensely praised; for Allah, as
al-Ghazzali beautifully states, is praised by Himself since eternity,
and by His servants to eternity, for His
Ibn al-Qayyim says, that a brief look at Surah al-Fatiha shows us how
and in what ways Allah is always praised.
Allah begins the Quran by praising Himself:
Al-Hamdu li –Llahi Rabbi l-'Aalameen
'Praise be to Allah'
Meaning, He is praised due to His quality of Deity and Lordship:
'… Allah – The Lord of the Worlds.'
He is praised due to His quality of Mercy:
'The Most Merciful – the Most Gracious.'
He is praised due to His quality of Sovereignty:
'Sovereign of the Day of Judgement'
Hence, Allah is praised for His Uluhiyya (His right of worship),
Rububiyya (His Lordship), Rahmaniyya (HisMercy) and Mulk (His
Sovereignty), thus Allah is praised for all of His perfectAttributes
and qualities.
Thanks (Shukr)
Thanking someone is similar to Praising, yet different.
Praising is more general in meaning than Thanks, for the latter is
usually performed in return for a favour, while the former does not
depend on any favour.
For example: A person maybe praised for the good he does to himself.
But a person would only be thanked, for the good he does to others,
and only bythose whom he does the good to.
Hence, thank is more of an act than a comment, and therefore, every
act of thanks is praise, but not every praise is necessarily an act of
thanks. This is themain difference between Praise and Thanks.
Allah 'azza wa jall is both, praised and thanked. Praised for His
exalted Attributes, and thanked forHis bounties.
There are many Ahadeeth concerning the virtue of praising Allah.
The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa-sallam said: 'The speech most
beloved to Allah are four', one of thembeing: 'al-Hamdulillah (Muslim)
The Prophet – SallAllahu 'alaihi wa-sallam said: 'Cleanliness is half
of faith and Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) fills the scale'
(Muslim)
The Prophet's companion, Rafi' states: 'One day we were praying behind
the Prophet. When he raised his head from bowing, he said,
"Sami'a-l-lahu Liman hamida." A man behind him said, "Rabbana walaka-l
hamd hamdan Kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi" (O our Lord! All the
praises are forYou, many good and blessed praises). When the Prophet
completed the prayer, he asked, "Who hassaid these words?" The man
replied, "I." The Prophet said, "I saw over thirty angels competing to
write it first." Prophet rose (from bowing) and stood straight till
all the vertebrae of his spinal column came to a natural position.'
The Prophet – SallAllahu 'alaihi wa-sallam said: 'Allah is surely
pleased with His servant when he eats something, he thanks Allah for
it, and when he drinks something, he thanks Allah for it' (Muslim)
Ibn Zayd said: 'There is in every gathering, the one person who thanks
Allah 'azza wa jalla, and thereby,fulfils all of the needs of the
members of that gathering'
One of the best times of thanking Allah is when oneis faced with
difficulty and hardship, for thanks to Allah in such a state
demonstrates a true servitude to Allah, and happiness with what He has
decreed.....

Meaning and Application of the Prayer: Allahu Akbar, Subhan Allah, Al-hamdu Lillah, La ilaha illa-llah

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam) gave guidance
to Muslims and the humanity for material, spiritual and intellectual
upliftment. The rewards of glorifying, praising, declaring Allah's
unity and His greatness are among the fundamental concepts of Islam.
In the following hadith, practical guidance is given to Muslims to
incorporate these concepts in their lifestyles:
Samura b. Jundub reported God's messenger as saying, "The most
excellent words are four: Glory be to God (Subhan Allah) ; Praise be
to God (Al-Hamdu Lillah) ; there isno god but God (La ilaha illa-llah)
; and God is most great (Allahu Akbar) ." A version has, "The words
dearest to God are four: Glory be to God; Praise be to God; there is
no god but God; and God is most great. It does not matter which you
say first." 1
The significance of the phrase 'Subhan Allah' has been explained in
the following hadith:
Sa'd b. Abu Waqqas said: " Once when we were with God's messenger he
asked whether any of us was incapable of acquiring athousand blessings
daily, and when one of those who were sitting with him asked how any
ofthem could acquire a thousand blessings he replied, "If he says
'Glory be to God' (Subhan Allah) a hundred times, a thousand blessings
will be recorded for himor a thousand sins will be removed from him.".

The significance of the phrase 'Al-Hamdu Lillah' has been explained in
the following hadith:
'Abdallah b. Amr reported God's messenger saying that "Praise be to
God" (Al-Hamdu Lillah) is the beginning of thanksgiving, for theman
who does not praise God hasnot thanked Him." 3
The significance of the phrase 'La ilaha illa-llah' has been explained
in the following hadith:
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported God'smessenger saying that Moses asked
his Lord to teach him something with which to make mention of Him or
to supplicate Him, and was told to say, "There isno god but God " (La
ilaha illa-llah) . He replied to his Lord that all His servants said
this, but he wanted something particularly for himself, and He said,
"Moses, were the seven heavens and their inhabitants apart from me and
the seven earths put in one side of balance and 'There is no god but
God' in the other, 'There is no god but God' would outweigh them." 4
It is transmitted in Sharh as-sunna .
The significance of the phrase 'Allahu Akbar' has been explainedin the
following hadith:
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari said: Once when we accompanied God's messenger on
a journey and the people began to say aloud, "God ismost great"
(Allahu Akbar) , he said, "Restrain yourselves, people; you are not
supplicating one who is deaf or absent, but are supplicating One who
hears, sees and is with you. He whom you aresupplicating is nearer to
each of you than the neck of his riding-beast."

Story :- A Brother Like That

Shuaib received an automobile from his brother as an Eid present. On
Eid day when Shuaib came out of his house, a street urchin was walking
around the shiny new car, admiring it. "Is this your car, Uncle?" he
asked. Shuaib nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Eid." The boy was
astounded.
"You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn'tcost you nothing?
Boy, I wish..." He hesitated. Of course Shuaib knew what he was going
to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what
the lad said jarred Shuaib all the way down to his heels. "I wish,"
the boy went on,"that I could be a brother like that." Shuaib looked
at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added,"Would you like
to take a ride in my automobile?""Oh yes, I'd love that."
After a short ride, the boy turned and with his eyes aglow, said,
"Uncle, would you mind driving in front of my house?" Shuaib smiled a
little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his
neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Shuaib was
wrong again."Will you stop where those two steps are?" the boy asked.
He ran up the steps. Then in a little whileShuaib heard him coming
back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled
brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up
against him and pointed to the car.
"There it is, little brother, just like I told you upstairs. His
brother gave it to him for Eid and it didn't cost him a penny. And
some day I'm gonna give you one just like it...then you can see for
yourself all the pretty things in the Shop windows that I've been
trying to tell you about."
Shuaib got out and lifted the boy to the front seat of his car. The
shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them
began a memorable ride. That Eid, Shuaib learned what the RasulAllah
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam) meant when he had said: "love for your
brother what you love for yourself".

A old News - The Guard Who Found Islam

Army specialist Terry Holdbrooks had been a guard at Guantanamo for
about six months the night he had his life-altering conversation with
detainee 590, a Moroccan also known as"the General." This was early
2004, about halfway through Holdbrooks's stintat Guantanamo with the
463rd Military Police Company. Until then, he'd spent most of his day
shifts just doing his duty. He'd escort prisoners to interrogations or
walk up and down the cellblock making sure they weren't passing notes.
But the midnight shifts were slow."The only thing you really had to do
was mop the center floor," he says. So Holdbrooks began spending part
of the night sitting cross-legged on theground, talking to detainees
through the metal mesh of their cell doors.
He developed a strong relationship with the General, whose real name
is Ahmed Errachidi. Their late-night conversations led Holdbrooks to
be moreskeptical about the prison,he says, and made him think harder
about his own life. Soon, Holdbrookswas ordering books on Arabic and
Islam. During an evening talk with Errachidi in early 2004,
theconversation turned to theshahada, the one-line statement of faith
that marks the single requirement for converting to Islam ("There is
no God but God and Muhammad is his prophet"). Holdbrooks pushed a pen
and an index card through the mesh, and asked Errachidi to write out
the shahada in English and transliterated Arabic. He then uttered the
words aloud and, there on the floor of Guantanamo's Camp Delta, became
a Muslim.

Story :- Junaid Baghdadi andLove for Allah

Once at the time of Hajj, there was a gathering in Mecca of some
friends of Allah; the youngest among whom was Junaid Baghdadi (ra). In
that gathering, there was a discussion on the subject of 'Love for
Allah' and as to who is the lover of Allah. Many of them expressed
their views on the subject, but Junaid (ra)kept quiet. He was
pressedto say something.
With his head bowed down and tears in his eyes, he said, "The lover
ofAllah is he who forgets his own self, remains engagedin Allah's
remembrance with due regard to all its requirements; sees Allah with
the eyes of his heart, which is burnt by the heat of Allah's fear;
Allah's remembrance affects him like a cup of wine, he speaks the word
of Allah as if All-Mighty Allah speaks through his mouth;if he moves,
he does so under the command of Allah; he gets peace of mind only
through the obedience of Allah; and when such a stage is reached, his
eating, drinking, sleeping, awakening and, in short, all his actions
are for the pleasure of Allah; he neither pays heed to the worldly
customs, nor does he attach any importance to unfriendly criticism by
people."

Story :- The Pious Man and the Shopkeeper

There lived a pious man allby himself, who spent most of his time in
praying, fasting and praising Allah. Almost all his waking hours were
utilised in meditation and devotions. He was very happy with his
spiritual progress. No wicked thoughts came to his mindand no evil
temptations entered his heart.
One night, he dreamt a rather disturbing dream. He saw that a
shopkeeper in the town was far superior to him in spirituality and
that he must go to him to learn the basics of true spiritual life.
In the morning, the pious man went in search of the shopkeeper. He
found him busy with his customers, selling goods and collecting money
with a cheerful face. He sat there in a corner of the shop andwatched
the shopkeeper carefully. No signs of any spiritual life at all, he
said to himself. His dream could not be true. But thenhe saw the
shopkeeper disappear to pray his Salah. When he returned, he was busy
dealing with money matters again.
The shopkeeper noticed the pious man sitting in the corner and asked:
"As Salamu Alaikum, would you like something, brother?"
"Wa Alaikum As Salam. Oh!No! No!" said the pious man. "I don't want to
buy anything, but I want to ask you a question." He then related his
dream.
"Well, that is very simple to explain," said the shopkeeper, "but you
will have to do something for me before I answer your question."
"I will do anything for you," replied the pious man.
"All right! Take this saucer;there is some mercury in it. Go to the
other end of the street and come back fast within half an hour. If the
mercury falls out of the saucer, you will hear nothing from me. There
you go now."
The pious man took the saucer and started running. The mercury nearly
wobbled out of the saucer. He saved it just in time, and slowed down.
Then he remembered he had to return within half an hour, so he started
walking at a fast pace. At long last he returned puffing and panting.
"Hereis your mercury, safe and sound," he told the shopkeeper. "Now
tell me the true interpretation of my dream."
The shopkeeper looked at the pious man's weary condition and asked
him:"Well, friend, how many times did you remember Allah while you
were going from this end of the street to the other?"
"Remember Allah!" exclaimed the pious man."I did not remember Him at
all. I was so worried about the mercury in the saucer."
"But I do remember Him all the time," said the shopkeeper. "When I am
doing my business, I am also carrying mercury in a saucer. I am fair,
honest and kind to my customers.I never forget Allah Ta'ala in my
dealings with other men."
"Men whom neither trade nor sale (business) diverts from the
remembrance of Allaah (with heart and tongue) nor from performing
As-Salaah (Iqaamat-as-Salaah) nor from giving the Zakaah. They fear a
Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the
torment of the Day of Resurrection). That Allaah may reward them
according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out
of His Grace. And Allaah provides without measure to whom He wills"
[Al Quran, Surah an-Noor 24:37-38]

Story :- The Emperor and the Seed

An emperor in the Far Eastwas growing old and knew it was time to
choose his successor. Instead of choosing one ofhis assistants or his
children, he decided something different. He called young people in
thekingdom together one day. He said, "It is time for me to step down
and choose the next emperor. Ihave decided to choose one of you."
The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. "I am going to give
each one of you a seed today. One very special seed. I want you
toplant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with
what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants
that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next emperor!"
One boy named Ling was there that day and he, like the others,
received a seed. He went home and excitedly told his mother the story.
She helped him get a pot and planting soil,and he planted the seed and
watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if
it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other youths began
to talkabout their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.
Ling kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, 4
weeks, 5 weeks went by. Still nothing. By now, others were talking
about their plants but Ling didn'thave a plant, and he felt like a
failure. Six months went by-still nothing in Ling's pot. He just knew
hehad killed his seed.
Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling
didn't say anything to his friends, however. He just kept waiting for
his seed to grow.
A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their
plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he
wasn't going to take an empty pot. But honest about what happened,
Ling felt sick to his stomach, but heknew his mother was right. He
took his empty pot to the palace. When Ling arrived, he was amazed at
the variety of plants grown by the other youths. They were
beautiful-in all shapes andsizes. Ling put his empty pot on the floor
and manyof the other kinds laughedat him. A few felt sorry for him and
just said, "Hey nice try."
When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young
people. Ling just tried to hide in the back."My, what great plants,
trees and flowers you have grown," said the emperor. "Today, one of
you will be appointed the next emperor!" All of a sudden, the emperor
spotted Ling at the back ofthe room with his empty pot. He ordered his
guardsto bring him to the front. Ling was terrified. "The emperor

gave everyone here a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it,
water it, and bringit back to me today. But I gave you all boiled
seeds which would not grow. Allof you, except Ling, have brought me
trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not
grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Ling was
the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my
seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new emperor!"
The Prophet taught,"Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and
righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keepson telling the truth
until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads toAl-Fajur (i.e.
wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell)
Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before
Allah, a liar." [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol.8:116]

Story :- Did You Thank Allah for Your Eyesight?

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He
held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only
a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped
them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote
some words. Heput the sign back so that everyone who walked by would
see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to
the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changedthe sign came to
see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were
you the one who changed my signthis morning? What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a

The Quran and the Atmosphere - What roles does ozone play in the atmosphere and how are humans affected?

The ozone molecules in theupper atmosphere (stratosphere) and the
lower atmosphere (troposphere) are chemically identical, because they
all consist of three oxygen atoms and have the chemical formula O 3 .
However, they have very different roles in the atmosphere and very
different effects on humansand other living beings. Stratospheric
ozone (sometimes referred to as"good ozone") plays a beneficial role
by absorbing most of the biologically damaging ultraviolet sunlight
(called UV-B), allowing only a small amount to reach the Earth's
surface. The absorption of ultraviolet radiation by ozone creates a
source ofheat, which actually forms the stratosphere itself (a region
in which the temperature rises as one goes to higher altitudes). Ozone
thus plays a key role in the temperature structure of the Earth's
atmosphere . Without the filtering actionof the ozone layer, more
ofthe Sun's UV-B radiation would penetrate the atmosphere and would
reach the Earth's surface. Many experimental studies of plants and
animals and clinical studies of humans have shown the harmful effects
of excessive exposure to UV-B radiation.

point is that the Quran precisely already informed us about the
atmosphere's helping handfor us humans!
The help doesn't just come from the Ozone layer; for instance the
atmospheric layer known as the stratosphere also benefits us humans:
Commercial airliners typically cruise at altitudes of 9-12 km in
temperate latitudes, in the lower reaches of the stratosphere. They do
this to optimize jet engine fuel burn, mostly thanks to the low
temperatures encountered near the tropopause. It also allows them to
stay above any hard weather, and avoid atmospheric turbulence from the

Then we have the other layer of the earth's atmosphere, the
mesosphere, although not much is known about the mesosphere, what we
do know is that this is the area where meteors burn and break up,

in this layer. A special type of clouds, called " noctilucent clouds
", sometimes forms in the mesosphere near the Northand South Poles.
These clouds are strange because they form much, much higher up than
any other type of cloud . There are also odd types of lightning in the
mesosphere. These types of lightning, called"sprites" and "ELVES",

Then we have another layer of the atmosphere known as the thermosphere:

So in conclusion the Quran got it completely right when it said the following:

The Quran and the Atmosphere

In the Noble Quran we often find verses which describe the earth's
atmosphere as a protectivecovering for us humans:
And We have made the heavens as a canopy wellguarded : yet do they
turn away from the Signs whichthese things (point to)! (21:32)
It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the
sky as a canopy , and has given you shape- and made your shapes
beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of things pure and
good;- such is Allah your Lord. So Glory to Allah,the Lord of the
Worlds! (40:64)
So the Quran makes it quite clear that the earth's sky (atmosphere)
acts as a well protected covering forus humans. Furthermore if one
were to read the context of these verses, one will see that these
details are being given as asign for us humans, and that we should be
grateful and thankful for this (that this is a benefit for us, to help
us).
With the discoveries of modern day science, we are now able to verify
the above claims, of how the earth's atmosphere does protect us
humans, and how the earth's atmosphere is indeed like aprotected roof
over our heads.
The atmosphere isn't just a nice sky for you to stare at, it isn't
just there for the sake of being there, rather the atmosphere has an
important role and function, you can sort of say that behind the
scenes a lot of work is being done to insure things go smoothly on
earth which inturn benefits us!
Let us see what modern day science has to say concerning the earth's atmosphere:
The Ozone Layer:
The Earth's atmosphere is divided into several layers. The lowest
region, the troposphere, extends from the Earth's surface up to about
10 kilometers (km) in altitude. Virtually all human activities occur
in the troposphere. Mt. Everest, the tallest mountain on the planet,
is only about 9 km high. The next layer, the stratosphere , continues
from 10 km to about 50 km. Most commercial airline traffic occurs in
the lower part of the stratosphere.
Most atmospheric ozone is concentrated in a layer in the stratosphere
, about 15-30 kilometers above the Earth's surface. Ozone isa molecule
containing three oxygen atoms. It is blue in color and has a strong
odor. Normal oxygen, which we breathe, has two oxygen atoms andis
colorless and odorless. Ozone is much less common than normal oxygen.
Out of each 10 million air molecules, about 2 million are normal
oxygen, but only 3 are ozone.
However, even the small amount of ozone plays a key role in the
atmosphere. The ozone layer absorbs a portion ofthe radiation from the
sun, preventing it from reaching the planet's surface. Most
importantly,it absorbs the portion of ultraviolet light called UVB .
UVB has been linked to many harmful effects , including various types
of skin cancer, cataracts, and harm to some crops, certain materials,
and some forms of marine life.
At any given time, ozone molecules are constantly formed and destroyed
in the stratosphere. The total amount, however, remains relatively
stable. The concentration of the ozone layer can be thought of as a
stream's depth at a particular location. Although water is constantly
flowing in and out, the depth remains constant.
While ozone concentrations vary naturally with sunspots, the seasons,
and latitude, these processes are well understood and predictable.
Scientists have established records spanning several decades that
detail normal ozone levels during these natural cycles. Each natural
reduction in ozone levels has been followed by a recovery. Recently,
however, convincing scientific evidence has shown that the ozone
shield is being depleted well beyond changes due to natural processes.

Ozone is very rare in our atmosphere, averaging about three molecules
of ozone for every 10 million air molecules. In spite of this small
amount, ozone plays a vital role in the atmosphere. In the information

Where is ozone found in the atmosphere?
Ozone is mainly found in two regions of the Earth's atmosphere. Most
ozone (about 90%) resides in a layer that begins between 6 and 10
miles (10 and 17 kilometers) above the Earth's surface and extendsup
to about 30 miles (50 kilometers). This region of the atmosphere is
called the stratosphere. The ozone in this region is commonly known as
the ozone layer. The remainingozone is in the lower region of the
atmosphere, which is commonly called the troposphere. The

Tafseer of the verse “So on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin” [ar-Rahmaan 55:39]

What is the meaning of the verse that says that man will not be
questioned about his sin on the Day of Resurrection?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Perhaps the questioner is referring to the verse in which Allah, may
He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): "So
on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin"
[ar-Rahmaan 55:39].
This is one of the verses in Soorat ar-Rahmaan that speak of the
terrors of the Day of Resurrection and explain that one aspect of the
terror of that great Day is that no human or jinn will be questioned
about his sin.
The scholars have given a number of interpretations for this verse:
1.
That humans and jinn will not be questioned on the Day of Resurrection
by way of finding out about their sins, because Allah, may He be
glorified and exalted, knows best aboutthem. But He will questionthem
by way of making a statement or a rebuke or telling off. This is more
frightening and serves to emphasise the horror of what will happen on
the Day of Resurrection.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
"no question will be askedof man or jinn as to his sin" – why? Because
everything is known. What is meant here is thatthere will be no
questioning by way of finding out, because all things are known. As
for the kind of asking that is intended as a stern rebuke, that will
take place. Allah, may He be exalted, says:
"And (remember) the Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: What
answer gave you to the Messengers?
Then the news of a good answer will be obscured to them on that day,
and they will not be able to ask one another"
[al-Qasas 28:65]
"Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic
Monotheism);
In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another,
About Al-Mujrimoon (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And
they will say to them):
What has caused you to enter Hell?
They will say: We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers)"
[al-Muddaththir 74:39-42].
And Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, will say to the people of
Hell when they are thrown into it (interpretation of the meaning):
"Did there not come to you, your Messengers with(clear) evidences and
signs? They will say: Yes"
[Ghaafir 40:50].
So they will not be asked about their sin by way of finding out;
rather they will be asked by way of telling off and rebuking. What is
mentioned about humans and jinn being asked about their sins ("Did you
do it or not?") is questioning that is aimed at rebuking and telling
off.There is a difference between questioning that is aimed at finding
out and questioning that is aimed as a rebuke, so there is no
contradiction between the verses. The verses that speak of them being
questioned refer to questioning by way of rebuke and the verses
thatsay that they will not be questioned refer to questioning that is
aimed at finding out, because everything is already known and
recorded. End quote.

One of the frightening events that will take place on that Day is that
Allah will place a seal on the hearts of the disbelievers and
hypocrites, and their hands and feet will speak of what they used to
do. They will not be questioned at that time; rather their bodies will
be questioned and will bear witness against them, speaking of their
sins.
3.
Because of the horror of what the disbelievers encounter on the Day of
Resurrection, they will be recognised by the blackening of their faces
and the bleariness of their eyes. So there will be no need to ask them
about their sins when the signs of disgrace have already appeared on
them. This is also a source of great terror and a difficult situation
on the Day of Resurrection. This does notcontradict the true
questioning that will occurat another stage, because the Day of
Resurrection will be a long day, with various stages.
Al-Haafiz Ibn Katheer (mayAllah have mercy on him) said:
The verse (interpretation of the meaning): "So on that Day no question
will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin" [ar-Rahmaan 55:39] is
similar to the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the
meaning): "That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some
part of it), And they will not be permitted to put forth anyexcuse"
[al-Mursalaat 77:35-36]. This is one stage. And there will be another
stage during which people will be questioned about all their deeds.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): "So, by your Lord (O
Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. For all
that they used to do" [al-Hijr 15:92-93].....

Is it better to recite Qur’aan from memory orto read from the Mus-haf?

Is it better to read Qur'aanwhilst looking at the Mus-haf, or to
recite from memory?.
Praise be to Allaah.
In prayer, it is better to recite from memory. See question no. 3465 .
Outside of prayer, it is better for a person to do that which will
increase his khushoo' (humility, focus). If his khushoo' will be
increased by reciting from memory, then that isbetter; if his khushoo'
will be increased by reading from the Mus-haf, then that is better. If
it is the same in either case, then reading from the Mus-haf is
better, because it combines reading and looking, and his eyes will be
protected from looking at things that may distracthim from reciting
and pondering the meaning.
Al-Nawawi said in al-Adhkaar (p. 90-91):
Reading Qur'aan from the Mus-haf is better than reciting from memory;
thisis the view of our companions and it is well known from the salaf
(may Allaah be pleased with them). This does not apply in all cases
however;if the reader can focus andponder the meanings more when
reciting from memory than when reading from the Mus-haf, then reciting
from memory is better. If it is the same in both cases, then reading
from the Mus-haf is better. This is what the salaf meant.
There are weak (da'eef) ahaadeeth narrated from the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) which cannot be used as proof that it
is better to look at the Mus-haf. We mention them only to draw
attention to the fact that they are weak. These include:
"Looking at the Mus-haf is an act of worship; for a child to look at
his parentsis an act of worship; looking at 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib is an
act of worship." This is a fabricated (mawdoo') hadeeth, as al-Albaani
saidin al-Silsilah al-Da'eefah, 1/531.
"Give your eyes their shareof worship: looking at the Mus-haf,
thinking about it and pondering its wonders." This is also fabricated
(mawdoo'). Al-Silsilah al-Da'eefah, 4/88.
"Five things are acts of worship: eating little, sitting in the
mosque, looking at the Ka'bah, looking at the Mus-haf andlooking at
the face of a scholar." This is a very weak (da'eef jiddan) hadeeth.
Da'eef al-Jaami' al-Sagheer, no. 2855.

Good morning dear friends,
A fresh steamy cup of foglifter coffee is before me. (ahhh)
I've been out wateringall morning, and..... it'sgetting old.
Some of my plants andflowers.. I'm about ready to just let go.
The potted plants have taken a nose dive.
They look like death row on our front steps.
With all the watering in the garden, I really need to weedeat around
the perimeter, but with it so dry out in the yard, it's scary mowing
and even weedeating for fear ofsparks. On a happy note: Our
tomatoes are the one thing doing amazing. They're mulched heavily
with old hay and I just use the waterhose and soak around each stem
coming out of the ground. Maters seem to love it hot n steamyso long
as they don't get dry ...and it has definitely been hot n steamy.
The picture above is an ear of the strawberry corn, growing at my Happy Place.
The stalks are dying off now and finally thelittle ears are turning.
These shades of pinks -to the burgundy could be my new favorite
colors. -- Especially next to the creamy white husks. Hey; wouldn't
they look great with some turq on the side?!!
The little postage stamp garden there ispretty much done for the
year. The flowers are spent, and the onlything left- a handful of
small sunflowers, and the ornamental corn. I'll let them all hang out
for the rest of the week, then finish pulling up the stalks to save
for decorating this Fall. The morning glories were doing aweseome,
but I thinkthe bunny who lives there has taken to making "morning
glory" his evening salad.
It's okay though... he's just a nibbler. I think when it cools down
inSeptember, I'll plant some kale, mustard, and other fresh
greensthere. ;)
Our best sweetcorn was the patch by our barn. I'm still watering
there, as we have pumpkins and the moon and stars watermelon growing
in the corn rows. We have coons in the cornnow but they have
canwhat's left. So long asthey don't get any cravings to have
some"chicken" along with it... they're welcome. It's funny, they pick
anear of corn and eat it and leave it lay on the ground in the rows.
I don't know if they suck on the cob or what coz they're kindawet and
the funny thing is our banty hens eat any of the leftovers like they
struck gold or something. It's funny how excited they sound when
they discover... one of those wet cobs when I turn them out first
thing of the morning. They make these happy clucking noises and then
everyone else comes running to see what the fuss is allabout. "Corn
on the cob! Yahoo!"
It looks strange to see an empty pasture still.
In some ways... it's a relief.
Still no rain... and the 10 day forecast is most days over 100 and I
think one or maybe two days of 20 percent chance afternoon
thundershower. No matter what they say.. I know God's bigger than
all that.
He's got us covered,
no matter what.

I can’t find a job, hassomeone performed black magic on me?

Q:-> I have been struggling with my career from last 6 years; I always
end up in failure no matter how hard I try. Ieven fell ill, lost
hair(for which I had treatments and managed to regrow them but now
they are falling again), my neat skin is no more flawless like it used
to be. I lost myhealth, even had surgery but still I am neither
gaining weight nor seeing any betterment in my health. I applied to
some hundreds of places but no luck! Why is that? Is it possible
someone has castmagic on me?
If yes, is there a cure through Quran and Sunnah. I normally don't
believe in magic and stuff but 6 to 7 years is too long a period so I
am having doubts. I offer prayers and ask Allah to help me all the
time. Whatelse must I do?

A:-> The effect of magic is true, and it really happens.
There are three parties involved in magic. One, the magician; two, the
person on whom the magic is done; three, the Shaitaan.
Whether magic has been done on you or not is not something to be
doubtful about. If you begin doubting, that would open the doors to
fitan.
Do not give room for Shaitaan to lead you astray. If you are not
finding a job, a reason could be because the market is down and
there's no suitable job for your profile, or that your profile is not
enough for a particular job, or your qualification does not match your
applications. Analyze all this and more reasons, and see where there
is a problem.
Another reason could be evil eye. If you were doinga good job and
there was someone jealous of you, the evil eye may have had an effect.
There is a different cure if you know whose evil eye it is. And this
is very difficult to find out; and if you set out to find out, you're
going to accuse everyone. So, just supplicate this dua:
"A'oodhu bi kalimaatillaahit-taammaati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah
wa min kulli 'aynin laammah"
I seek refuge in the perfectwords of Allah, from everydevil and every
poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye.
"A'oodhu bi kalimaatillaahit taammati min sharri ma khalaq"
I seek refuge in the perfectwords of Allah from the evil of that which
He has created.
Do not conclude without evidence, that magic has been performed,
because that may lead you astray. If you think your hairfall
isunusual, then have a complete check up done, to see if there's any
medical problem. If yes, then there's no magic involved. If your hair
fall has no reason, then we can move to the next step of investigation
/ analysis.
