There are times when we're alone, discouraged, and just plain weary.
Timeswhen it seems like there's no one left who matters.
That's when faith counts more than ever. That's when faith is tested.
Don't give up. Keep hope inyour heart. Remember thatin the darkest
cave, the deepest canyon, the most barren desert, Allah is still
there.
Let faith carry you at those times, and let Allah guide you, and you
will come through to a better place. It's a promise from Allah:
"And whoever is conscious of Allah, He will make for him a way out
(from every difficulty). And He will provide for him from (sources) he
never could imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will
suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allah
has sent a measure for all things." (Quran: 65/2-3)

Story - Past Event:-WOMEN'S LIBERATION THROUGH ISLAM

Today people think that women are liberated in theWest and that the
women's liberation movement began in the 20th century. Actually, the
women's liberation movement was not begun by women but was revealed by
God to a man in the seventh century by the name of Muhammad (peace be
upon him), who is known as the last Prophet of Islam. The Qur'an and
the Traditions of the Prophet (Hadith or Sunnah) are the sources from
which every Muslim woman derives her rights and duties.
I. HUMAN RIGHTS
Islam, fourteen centuries ago, made women equally accountable to God
in glorifying and worshippingHim - setting no limits on her moral
progress. Also, Islam established a woman's equality in her humanity
with men. In the Qur'an, in the first verse of the chapter
entitled"Women," God says, "O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your
Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it its mate and from
them both have spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful
of your duty toward Allah in Whom you claim (your rights) of one
another, and towards the wombs (that bore you). Lo! Allah has been a
Watcher over you." (4:1) Since men and women both came from the same
essence, they are equal in their humanity. Women cannot be by nature
evil (as some religious believe) or then men would be evil also.
Similarly, neither gender can be superior because it would be a
contradiction ofequality.
II. CIVIL RIGHTS
In Islam, a woman has the basic freedom of choice and expression based
on recognition of her individual personality. First,she is free to
choose her religion. The Qur'an states:"There is no compulsion in
religion. Right has been made distinct from error." (2:256) Women are
encouraged in Islam to contribute their opinions and ideas. There are
many traditions of the Prophet (pbuh) which indicate women would pose
questions directly to him and offer their opinions concerning
religion, economics and social matters. A Muslim woman chooses her
husband and keeps her name after marriage. A Muslim woman's testimony
is validin legal disputes. In fact, in areas in which women are more
familiar, their evidence is conclusive.
III. SOCIAL RIGHTS
The Prophet (pbuh) said:"Seeking knowledge is a mandate for every
Muslim (male and female)." This includes knowledge of the Qur'an and
the Hadith as well as other knowledge. Men and women both havethe
capacity for learning and understanding. Since itis also their
obligation to promote good behavior and condemn bad behaviorin all
spheres of life, Muslimwomen must acquire the appropriate education to
perform this duty in accordance with their own natural talents and
interests. While maintenance of a home, providing support to her
husband, and bearing, raising and teaching of children are among the
first and very highly regarded roles for a woman, if she has the
skillsto work outside the home for the good of the community, she may
do so as long as her family obligations are met. Islam recognizes and
fosters the natural differences between men and women despite their
equality. Some types of work are more suitable for men and other types
for women. This in no way diminishes either's effort nor its benefit.
God will reward both sexes equally for the value of their work,
thoughit may not necessarily be the same activity. Concerning
motherhood, the Prophet (pbuh) said:"Heaven lies under the feetof
mothers." This implies that the success of a society can be traced to
themothers that raised it. The first and greatest influence on a
person comes from the sense of security, affection, and training
received from the mother. Therefore, a woman havingchildren must be
educated and conscientious in order to be a skillful parent./

Story - Past Event:- - The Evil Of Craving For Wealth And Status:

It has been reported that this hadeeth was in response to the
appearance of some elements of this, as at-Tabaraanee reports from
`Aasim ibn `Adiyy, radiyallaahu `anhu, who said, `I bought a hundred
shares from the shares of Khaybar and that reached the Prophet
sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam so he said
"Two ravenous wolves remaining amongst sheep whose owner has lost them
will not be more harmful than a Muslim`s seeking after wealth and
status is to his Deen." [1]
There is nothing more to chasing after wealth than the wastage of a
person's noble life for that which has no value. Instead he could have
earned a high rank (in Paradise) and everlasting bliss, but he lost
this due to his craving after provision - which had already been
assured to him and allotted to him, and it was not possible for
anything to come to him except what was decreed for him - then on top
of this he does not benefit from that, but rather abandons it and
leaves it for someone else.
He departs from that and leaves it behind so that he will be the one
held accountable for it, yet someone else benefits from it. So in
reality he is only gathering it for someone who will not praise him
for that, whilst he himself goes on to One who will not excuse him for
that - this itself would indeed be enough to show the blameworthiness
of this craving.
The person who has this craving wastes his valuabletime and engages
himself in that which is of no benefit to himself - in journeying and
exposing himself to dangers in orderto amass that which will only
benefit someone else, so it is as is said:
"So one who spends his days in gathering wealth Out of fear of poverty
- then he has achieved only poverty."
It was said to a wise man,"So and so has amassed wealth," so he said,
"Then has he amassed days in which to spend it?" It was said, "No." So
he said,"Then he has amassed nothing!"
It was also said in some narrations from the People of the Book,
"Provision has already been allotted and the one greedy for wealth is
deprived. Son of Aadam! If you spend your life in seeking after this
world then when will you seek after the Hereafter?" "If you are unable
to do good deeds in this world, then what will you do on the Day of
Resurrection?" Ibn Mas`ood, radiyallaahu `anhumaa, said,
"Certain faith (yaqeen) is that you do not make the people happy by
angering Allaah, and that you do notenvy anyone for that whichAllaah
has provided, and that you do not blame anyone for something which
Allaah has not given you - since provision will not be brought on by a
person's craving after it, nor will it be repelled by a person's
disliking it. IndeedAllaah through His Justice has made joy and
happiness dependant uponhaving certain faith and contentment, and He
has made worries and sorrow spring from doubt and displeasure."
One of the Salaf (predecessors) said:
"Since predecree (qadr) is a reality then craving is futile. Since
treachery existsin people's characters then trusting everybody is to
expose oneself to humiliation. Since death awaits everybody, then
being satisfied with this world is foolishness."
`Abdul-Waahid ibn Zayd (from the successors of the Taabi`een of
Basrah, died after 150H) used to swear by Allaah that a person's
craving after this world was more fearful to him than his worst enemy.
He also used to say,
"O my brothers! Do not grow up craving after his riches and increase
in earnings or wealth, rather look upon him with the eye of one who
detests that he is preoccupying himself with that which will cause his
ruin tomorrow in the Place of Return - and is proud with that."
He also used to say,
"Craving is of two types: Craving which is an affliction and craving
whichis beneficial./

A panel of US health experts has for the first time backed a drug to
prevent HIV infection in healthy people.
The panel recommended US regulators approve the daily pill, Truvada,
for use by people considered at high risk of contracting the Aids
virus.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is not required to follow
the panel's advice, but it usually does.
Some health workers and groups active in the HIV community have
opposed the approval of the drug.
However, correspondents say the move could prove to be a new milestone
in the fight against HIV/Aids.
Truvada is already approved by the FDA for people who are
HIV-positive, and is taken along with existing anti-retroviral drugs.
Studies from 2010 showed that Truvada, made by California-based Gilead
Sciences, reduced the risk of HIV in healthy gay men -and among
HIV-negative heterosexual partners of people who are HIV-positive - by
between 44% and 73%.
June decision
The Antiviral Drugs Advisory Committee, whichadvises the FDA, voted
19-3 in favour of prescribing the drug to the highest risk group -
non-infected men who have sex with multiple male partners.
They also approved it, by majority votes, for uninfected people with
HIV-positive partners and for other groups considered at risk of
acquiring HIV through sexual activity.
Truvada has been used as atreatment for people infected with HIV in
the US since 2004
The votes followed an 11-hour meeting of the panel in Silver Spring,
Maryland, and a lengthy public comments session.
Opposition to the prospect of approving the drug is based on concerns
that users could gain a false sense of security, and fears of a
drug-resistant strain ofHIV.
There is also concern that the high cost of Truvada could divert
limited funding from more cost-effective options.
"We need to slow down. I care too much about my community not to speak
my concerns," said Joey Terrill, of the Aids Healthcare Foundation,
which campaigned against the drug's approval.
Nurse Karen Haughey told the panel: "Truvada needs to be taken every
day, 100% of the time, and my experience as a registered nurse tells
me that won't happen.
"In my eight years, not onepatient that I've cared for has been 100% adherent."
But others welcomed the panel's recommendation.
"This brings us closer to a watershed for global HIV prevention
efforts," said Mitchell Warren, executive director of the Aids Vaccine
Advocacy Coalition, after the vote.
The FDA is expected to make its decision by 15 June.
In the UK, Sir Nick Partridge, chief executive of Terrence Higgins
Trust, said: "There is no single method of prevention that can on its
own stop the transmission of HIV.
"Adding Truvada to our existing range of prevention programmes,
including safer sex campaigns, using condoms and regular testing for
HIV is an exciting prospect.
"But we need to know if people at highest risk of infection are
prepared to take a pill every day and whether there would be
anincrease in risk-taking behaviour which could outweigh the
prevention effectiveness of Truvada."
He said a clinical trial to invesitgate these issues would begin in
the UK in the autumn./

Qur'an Ayath - Explanation :- -Your “Stuff” is Not a Part of You:

Allah says, "Never will you attain the good until you spend from that
which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allahis Knowing of
it." [Quran 3: 92]
Think about that. Allah is telling us to give away the things that we
love the most! SubhanAllah! Why does Allah ask this of us? Is it to
liberate us from slavery to material possessions? To f0cus our minds
on Allah and the aakhirah (hereafter)? To prevent the evil that
results from the love of money? To benefit the poor?
Yes, for all of those reasons. Excessive attachment to any
materialthing is misguidance. The love of possessions is a spiritual
trap.
I have at times given away things that were precious to me, thinking
they wouldmean as much to the otherperson as they do to me. Sometimes
they do, and sometimes they don't, and yes it hurts my feelings when
the other person doesn't value my gift; but eventually I get over it,
because the point is the actof giving. And maybe – Insha-Allah – I'll
have something to show Allah on Yawm Al-Qiyamah (the Day of
Resurrection), maybe I'll be able to say, "O Allah, I gave away
thesethings that I loved," and maybe that will earn me some
forgiveness, Allah knows.
There is a powerful spiritual lesson in taking anobject that you love,
and giving it away. I remembera middle-aged brother named AbdulKareem
(Damis-Salaam, for those ofyou who know him). He worked hard,
supported a family, and got by on a tight budget. One time he got a
nice brown leather coat, the long kind that comes down to the knees.
It looked good on him. Then a younger brother, a teenager with poor
manners, said, "Man, that's a cool coat. Can I have it?" Without a
word, AbdulKareem took off the coat and gave it to the teenager.
There's such a strength of character, such freedom from attachment, in
being able to do that. That was 27 years ago and I imagine that
AbdulKareem (who is an old man now) has forgotten all about it. But
Allah sees and remembers./

world, and when they get purified of all their sins, they will be
admitted into Paradise. By Him in Whose Hands the life of Muhammad is
everybody will recognize his dwelling in Paradise better than he
recognizes his dwelling in this world."

That’s what Islam is supposed to be! This is why certain oppressive cultural practices found in parts of the Muslim world are so abominable.I’m talking about so-called honor killings, female genital mutilation, denial of education to women, violence against religious minorities, etc. These practices must be abolished. They are anathema to everything Islam represents. Islam came to promote an idea of human dignity based on: 1- Our relationship with Allah; 2- The love and mercy we show one another; 3- The utilization of our free will for a higher purpose.

A person asked Allah's Messenger (sws): "What is faith?" He said:
"When a good deed becomes a source of pleasure for you and an evil
deed becomes a source of disgust for you, then you are a believer." He
again said to Allah's Messenger (sws): "What is a sin?" Whereupon the
Messnger said: "When something pricks your conscience, give it up."
(Tirmidhi)
So the conscience is an effective guide, of course not neglecting
salat, dua', Quran and Sunnah.
A corollary to this is not to blame ourselves for making mistakes.
This learning process is how Allah brings us along, making us more
sincere, smarter, wiser, and stronger. That's how we manage to do
better next time.
So instead of blaming yourself endlessly for past mistakes, use what
you've learned to build somethinggood and bright now, today, and in
the future./
