*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Understand Islam

--
He is Allaah..
The First: Nothing is before Him.
The Last: Nothing is After Him.
The Most High: Nothing is Above Him.
The Most Near: Nothing is beyond His Reach.
He Begets Not, Nor was He Begotten.
The Creator, Provider, and All-Rich.
The All-Seer, The All-Knower.
He is One and Self-Sufficient.
He is not Nature, or any part of it.
He ascended above HisThrone, High above the Seven Skies.
No Vision can encompass Him, but
His Grasp is over all vision...
Such is Allaah, your Lord, none has the right to be worshipped but He,
the Creator of all things. "So worship Him ( alone ), andHe is the
Wakeel (Trustee Disposer of affairs, Guradian, etc . ( over all
things." ] Quran, Ch. 6, 102 ; translated meaning]
) لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ ( [الشورى: ١١]
"Nothing Is Like Unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer "
[ Quran, Ch. 42, 11 ; translated meaning]

Chinese patrol ship reaches Huangyan Island after dispute

GUANGZHOU, April 20 (Xinhua) -- China's most advanced fishery patrol
ship on Friday arrived in waters off the coast of Huangyan Island in
the South China Sea, where Chinese fishermen were harassed last week
by a Philippine navy gunboat, drawing protests from Beijing.
The 2,580-tonne Yuzheng-310 set sail from the southern port city of
Guangzhou on Wednesday. Its mission is to protect China's territorial
waters and ensure the safety of Chinese fishermen, said a statement
released by the South China Sea Fishery Bureau under the Ministry of
Agriculture.
"In the period of time thatfollows, the ship will go on regular
patrols, help Chinese fishermen in the area and look into other issues
concerning fishing activity there," the statement said.
The Yuzheng-310 is equipped with advanced marine technology and has
the ability to carry helicopters. The ship's maiden voyage was made to
the Diaoyu Islands in the East China Sea in 2010.
China's fishery authorities have sent ships on patrol and
shoal-guarding missions in the South China Sea 16 times so far this
year.
Patrols in the South China Sea were beefed up to protect the country's
maritime rights and interests, as Chinese fishing boats have been
frequently harassed or seized by armed ships of neighboring countries,
officials have said.
Dai Yudao, a local official from the fishing town of Tanmen in Hainan
province, said more than 700 of the town's fishermen have been
arrested, robbed, assaulted or rudely asked to leave by the armed
forces of neighboring countries while fishing in the South China Sea
over the last 12 years.
"We are frequently harassed by foreign ships in waters near the
disputed islands and shoals," Dai said. "Our livesare threatened. But
we will not back down, because locals have been fishing in the South
China Sea for generations."
In the most recent case, twelve Chinese fishing boats were harassed on
April 10 by a Philippine Navy gunboat while taking refuge from harsh
weather in a lagoon near Huangyan Island.
Two Chinese Marine Surveillance ships conducting routine patrolsin the
area later came to the fishermen's rescue.
Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying on Wednesday summoned the charge
d'affaires of the Philippine Embassy in China to lodge a
representation over the incident at Huangyan Island following a
previous summons on Sunday.
Fu said the harassment of Chinese fishermen by a Philippine naval ship
in a lagoon near Huangyan Island has aroused "great concern" on the
part of China.
Huangyan Island is an integral part of Chinese territory, Fu said,
adding that there is no basis for the Philippines' claim to the island
and that China cannot accept their claim.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said China's sovereignty over
Huangyan Island has full legal basis. He said China was the first to
discover Huangyan Island, name it, incorporate it intoits territory
and exercise jurisdiction over it.
Liu said on Wednesday that China and the Philippines are maintaining
diplomatic communication concerning the issue. /- - -

longer;oil makes the fragrance sweeter.
One of the most popular types of perfumes for woman is eau de toilette
, which is a lightly scented perfume and is used as a skin freshener.

blooded perfume? Each will be of different strength and will be
different concentrations. You won't want to buy a really strong

How does Islam protect Women from violence?

--
Islam means "Peace" - achieved when a person focuses on God, giving
her entire mind, heart and soulto none other than the Creator. This
liberates her from human subjection; replacing fear with self-respect;
weakness with strength, and conflict with tranquility. God says in the
Qur'an: "…do not fear human beings, but be in awe of Me." (Qur'an
5:44)
Islam strongly prohibits oppression or cruelty to any individual,
group or living thing in the universe.God enjoins good conduct toward
women from birth to death. Verbal, psychological, emotional, sexual,
and physical violence are forbidden, as are false allegations against
women's chastity and honor. Men are further reminded: "Do not annoy
women as to make their lives miserable." (Qur'an 65:6).
Prophet Muhammad said:"Only an honorable man treat women with honor
and integrity. And only a mean, deceitful and dishonest man humiliates
and insults women." Referring to physical abuse,he added: "Never hit
your wives, they are your partners and sincere helpers." He
exemplified this by never, ever, hitting a women or child. The Prophet
guaranteed protection of the life, honor, and property of women.
"And why should you not fight in the cause of God and on behalf of
those, who being weak, are ill-treated and oppressed, men, women and
children whose cry is, 'Our Lord! Rescue us from these oppressors, and
raise for us, from You, one who will protect and help.'" (Qur'an 4:75)

Muslim Weddings Islamic Marriage Khutbah (Wedding Speech)

--
Women celebrating at an Egyptian open air wedding
This is a typical Muslim nikah khutbah (wedding speech) that would be
given by an Imam at a Muslim wedding. This particular speech was
translated from Arabic, I believe. I do not know the author's name:
Wedding Khutbah
"Thanks be to Allah that we praise Him, pray to Him for help; ask Him
for pardon; we believe in Him,We trust Him; and ask Himto guard us
from the evil of our own souls and fromthe evil consequences of our
own deeds. Whomsoever He leaves straying no one can guide him. I bear
witness that there is no God save Allah, who has no partner, and I
bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, whom He has
sent with truth as a bringer of good news and a warner.
The best word is the book of Allah, and the best way is that of
Muhammad, on whom be peace. The worst of all things are innovations
and every innovation leads astray, and every thing that leads astray
leads to Hell.
Whosoever obeys Allah and His messenger will be guided aright and
whosoever disobeys will cause loss to his own self (and thereafter).
Hereafter,I ask the refuge of Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.
O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord who created you from a
single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath
spread abroad a multitude of men and women. be careful of your duty
towards Allah in whom you claim (yourrights) of one another, and
toward the wombs (that bear you). Lo, Allah hath been a watcher over
you. [Surah Al Nisa' 4:1]
O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with right observance,
and die not save as those who have surrendered (unto Him). [Surah Ali
'Imran 3:102]
O ye who believe! Guard your duty to Allah, and speak words straight
to the point; He will adjust your works for you and will forgive you
your sins. Whosoever obeyethAllah and His messenger,he verily hath
gained a signal victory. [Surah Al Ahzab 33:70-71]"
Marriage is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam. The
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) has told us how to live
as Muslims. One of the branches of faith is marriage. It has been thus
narrated in a Hadeeth that when a person marries, he has complete half
of his religion and so he should fear Allah regarding the remaining
half.
Shame, modesty, moral and social values and control of self desire are
just a few of the many teachings of Islam. Furthermore, these are just
a few of the many worships that a person can complete by performing
the ritual of marriage. Through marriage a person can be saved from
many shameless and immoral sins and through marriagehe has is more
able to control his desire. Therefore, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi
Wa Sallam) has said:
"O young men! Whoever is able to marry should marry, for that will
help him to lower his gaze and guard his modesty." [Sahih al-Bukhari]
Marriage is a strong oath that takes place between the man and women
in this world, but its blessings and contract continues even in
Jannah. It is the way of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa
Sallam), and whosoever goes against this practice has been
reprimanded.
Hadhrat Anas ibn Malik narrates:
A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet
(Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) asking how theProphet worshipped (Allah),
and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship
insufficient and said:
"Where are we compared to the Prophet as his past and future sins have
been forgiven?"
Then one of them said: "I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever."
The other said: "I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast."
The third said: "I will keepaway from the women and will not marry forever."
Allah's Apostle came to them and said, "Are you the same people who
said so-and-so? By Allah,I am more submissive toAllah and more afraid
of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also
marry women. So he who doesnot follow my tradition in religion, is not
from me (from my followers)." [Sahih al-Bukhari]
Therefore, Islamically, we are all encouraged to get married and not
turn away from the ways of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa
Salaam). It should be remembered that this duty of marriage is for
both men and women. Just as men complete half their religion through
this act, it is also the same for women. However, in today's time,
there are many marriage-related issues which arise in people's lives,
as today wesee many people abusing the laws of marriage in Islam. /- -

Congregational Prayer by Salih as Sadlan: Friday, 29 Jumâda 'l-Awwal

--
From amongst the lofty qualities of the Islamic Shari`ah is that it
has legislated many actions of worship to be done in congregation. The
Muslims gather that they may keep in contact with each other, come to
know each other, seek advice from one another, seek help in removing
any difficulties that they may be in and discuss various issues with
each other. This contains great benefit and many desirable points
which cannot be enumerated such as teaching the ignorant, helping the
needy, softening the heartsand manifesting the greatness of Islam. The
Divine Revelation endorses this understanding for when it prohibits
and commands it does not direct this prohibition to any specific
individual but to the congregation as a whole. Allah says,
O you who believe! Bow, prostrate and worship your Lord. Perform the
good so that you may be successful and perform Jihad in the way of
Allah as it should be done... [al-Hajj (22):77-78]
When the Muslim stands before Allah, intimately conversing with Him
and humbling himself before Him he does not speak as an individual
rather he speaks as one part of the whole. He says,
"You Alone do we worship and You Alone we ask for help" [al-Fatihah (1):5]
He does not say, 'it is only You I worship and it is onlyYour Aid I
seek.' Then he asks Him from His goodness and guidance buthe does not
ask for himself only, instead he says,
"Guide us to the Straight Path. The Path of those whom You have
guided, not [the path] of those who have earned [Your] anger nor those
who have gone astray" [al-Fatihah (1):6-7]
Indeed the congregational prayer is from the greatest of means to
removing sectarian differences and racism based upon ones colour, race
or land. Through the congregational prayer the Muslims attain mutual
love, respect and brotherhood. This because the elders become known and
are thereby respected, the poor and needy become known and are thereby
helped, the scholars become known and are thereby asked, and the
ignorant become known and are thereby taught/- - -

The Australian capital, Canberra, was shaken by a small earthquake
Friday morning that caused windows and crockery to rattle.
The 3.7-magnitude tremor originated 40 kilometres west of Canberra at
5:09 a.m. (1909 GMT Thursday).
Geoscience Australia duty seismologist Steve Tatham told The Canberra
Times newspaper there had been four earthquakes in the area in the
past decade.
"People are reporting shaking, earth noises, windows rattling and
describe it like a heavy vehicle rumbling past," Mr. Tatham said.

The Advice of 'Umar RA
*. Place the affairs of your brother when they reach you upon the best
of interpretations until there comes to you clarity which overcomes
that.
*. Do not think ill of a statement which comes from another Muslim if
you can find a good interpretation for it.
*. Whoever exposes himselfto suspicion let him not blame those who
then think badly of him, and whoever conceals his own and his brothers
secrets, strength of choicewill be in his hands.
*. Hold fast to truthful companions, live with them closely for they
are a charm at times of ease and an aid at times of difficulty.
*. Stick to the truth even if the truth kills you,
*. Do not ask about things which haven't taken place for indeed, that
which has already taken place is enough to preoccupy you from it!
*. Do not seek help or take your affairs to someone who doesn't wish
to see you succeed, and do not befriend the sinful lest you learn from
his sins and evil.
*. Keep away from your enemy and be cautious ofeven your friend,
except for the truthful and trusted friend.
*. And no-one is trustworthy except him who fears Allah.
*. Do not involve yourself with issues that don't concern you.
*. Humble yourself at the graves, lower yourself in obedience and
stand firmagainst disobedience.
*. And when it comes to your affairs, seek counsel only from those who
truly fear Allah for indeed, Allah says,
"…Indeed, it is only thosewho have knowledge among His Slaves, that
truly fear Allah." [al-Fatir:28]
