*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Da'eef (weak) hadeeths, Dought & clear, - * The Hadeeth About the Bedouin Who Said: “If He asks me, I will ask Him” He Will Ask Allah Questions

I would like to ask about the meaning of the hadeeth of the Bedouin who spoke to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when speaking about Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, he said: “If He questions me, I will question Him; if He asks me about my sins, I will ask Him about His forgiveness…”
I think you know the rest of the hadeeth. Is this hadeeth saheeh (authentic)?
-
Praise be to Allah.
This hadeeth is one of the haadeeths that are widespread among people but are falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Shaykh Hatim al-Shareef was asked about it and he said:
The hadeeth mentioned is a good example of the haadeeths which are obviously false and fabricated, and it displays poor style, weak composition and ugly meanings. Anyone who has any knowledge of the Sunnah and its splendour will have no doubt that this cannot be a saheeh hadeeth (authentic narration) that is proven to be from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I did not find it with this wording, and I wish that the questioner had told us of the source where he found this hadeeth so that we could warn the people against it.
But Abu Hamid al-Ghazaali, as was his wont (may Allah forgive him) narrated a false hadeeth in Ihya ‘Uloom al-Deen (4/130) that is similar in content to the hadeeth asked about here. In it, it says that a Bedouin said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “O Messenger of Allah, who will be in charge of bringing the people to account on the Day of Resurrection?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah, may He be blessed and exalted.” He said: “He Himself?” He said: “Yes.” The Bedouin smiled and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Why are you smiling, O Bedouin?” He said: “When the Most Generous is in a position to punish, He forgives, and when He brings to account, He pardons …”
Al-‘Iraqi said concerning this hadeeth: I could not find any source for it. al-Subki mentioned it among the hadeeths for which he did not find any isnad (chain of transmission). (Takhreej Ahadeeth al-Ihya, no. 3466; Tabaqat al-Shafi’iyyah al-Kubra 6/346). Nevertheless, there are many texts in the Quran and saheeh Sunnah which speak of the vastness of Allah’s mercy and the greatness of His pardon, and His acceptance of repentance and His answering prayers for forgiveness.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death).”
[Ta-Ha 20:82]
“And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do.”
[al-Shoora 42:25]
“… and My Mercy embraces all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who are the Muttaqoon (the pious), and give Zakah (the poor-due); and those who believe in Our ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs and revelations, etc.).”
[al-A’raf 7:156]
In Saheeh al-Bukhari (7554) and Saheeh Muslim (2751) it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah wrote down a decree before He created the universe: ‘My mercy prevails over My wrath.’” And Allah knows best.

Da'eef (weak) hadeeths, Dought & clear, - * The hadeeth, “If you criticize people they will criticize you”

Please tell us about the level of soundness of the hadeeth which is narrated from Abu’l-Darda’ (may Allaah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “If you criticize people they will criticize you, and if you leave them alone they will leave you alone” and where we can find it. I was told that it is in Saheeh al-Bukhaari but I cannot find it.
-
Praise be to Allaah.
The hadeeth of Abu’l-Darda’ mentioned here is not inSaheeh al-Bukhaari.
There are several versions of it, such as: “If you keep away from people they will keep away from you, and if you flee from them they will catch up with you, and if you leave them alone they will not leave you alone.” He said: What should I do? He said: “Give up your honour (i.e., do not retaliate if it is impuged), until the Day of your utmost need (the Day of Resurrection, when you can settle the score).” This is different from the version mentioned in the question.
This was narrated by Ibn ‘Asaakir inTaareekh Dimashq(47/178, 179) via Faraj ibn Faddaalah from Luqmaan ibn ‘Aamir from Abu’l-Darda’.
Its isnaad is da’eef because Faraj ibn Faddaalah is da’eef (weak) and the narration of Luqmaan ibn ‘Aamir from Abu’l-Darda’ is munqati’ (interrupted).
See:Tahdheeb al-Tahdheeb(8/456) andal-Taqreeb(2/107).
Moreover there was some confusion about the isnaad because the same words with the same isnaad were narrated from Abu’l-Darda’, stopping with him, and it was narrated as being from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
It was narrated by Ibn ‘Asaakir inTareekh Dimashq(47/178).
Then Ibn ‘Asaakir narrated it (47/179) via Anas ibn ‘Iyaad from Yahya ibn Sa’eed who said: Abu’l-Darda’ said … a mawqoof report (i.e., it stops with Abu’l-Darda’ and does not go back to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)).
And its isnaad is munqati’ (interrupted). Ibn al-Madeeni said of Yahya ibn Sa’eed al-Ansaari: I do not know whether he heard it from any Sahaabah other than Anas.
Al-Tahdheebby Ibn Asaakir (11/223).
It was also narrated from the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah (may Allaah be pleased with him).
And it was narrated by al-Tabaraani inal-Mu’jam al-Kabeer(8/126) no. 7575 and by Abu ‘Amr al-Daani inal-Sunan al-Waaridah fi’l-Fitan(219) and by Ibn ‘Asaakir inTareekh Dimashq(24/17).
Its isnaad is da’eef; it includes Baqiyah ibn al-Waleed who is mudallis, and Sadaqah ibn ‘Abd-Allaah al-Sameen, who is da’eef.
See:Majma’ al-Zawaa’idby al-Haythami (7/285).
It was also narrated by al-Daani and Ibn ‘Asaakir with the wording: “If you speak to them they will speak to you.” Ibn al-Atheer said: i.e., if you say something to them they will say something to you. And in another narration it says; “if you criticize them they will criticize you.”
Al-Nihaayah(5/92).
But this report was proven to be the words of Abu Muslim al-Khawlaani, who said: The people were like leaves of a tree with no thorn among them, but today they are thorns with no leaves. If you revile them they will revile you and if you criticize them they will criticize you, and if you leave them alone they will leave you alone.”
Narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah inal-Musannaf(7/206); Ibn Abi ‘Aasim inal-Zuhd(1/367); Abu Nu’aym inal-Hilyah(2/123) and Ibn ‘Asaakir inTareekh Dimashq(27/228).

Engagment, Dought & clear, - * She refused his proposal and he is in love with her – what should he do?

A young woman refused my proposal of marriage for no reason, but I still want to marry her. I prayed istikhaarah a number of times but I felt certain in my heart that she would come back to me, but she did not. What should I do?.
-
Praise be to Allaah.
So long as you have prayed istikhaarah and asked Allaah for guidance, and it has not been made easy for you to marry this girl, then you should realize that this is what is best for you and for her right now. It may be that marrying her would lead to bad consequences, which Allaah has averted from you; and it may be that marrying someone else may be better for you. Allaah grants provision to whom He wills and decrees, and He knows best what is in the best interests of His slave and will bring him happiness. All the slave has to do is entrust his affairs to Him and accept His choice, and believe in His will and decree and hope for that which is with Him, for He is more merciful towards him than he is to himself, may He be glorified and exalted.
Ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: A person may hope for some matter of trade or position of authority, until he is close to attaining it, then Allaah looks at him and says to His angels: ‘Divert it from him, for if he attains it I will send him to Hell.’ So Allaah diverts it from him and he keeps regarding that as something bad, saying ‘So and so beat me to it, So and so outwitted me,’ when in fact it is a blessing from Allaah. Quoted by Ibn Rajab inJaami’ al-‘Uloom wa’l-Hukam(2/470).
As for your feelings that this girl will be yours, this is possible; it may happen or it may not. You do not know what is best for you, so you should not feel attached to anything. Rather you should ask Allaah to make good easy for you wherever it is, and to divert evil from you wherever it is. Hasten to look for a wife who is of good character or religiously committed, and do not delay marriage in the hope of attaining this possibility, for that is the way of those who are weak in faith and do not put their trust fully in Allaah; one of them may set his heart on something and never be able to forget it, whilst claiming that he has prayed istikhaarah and asked Allaah for guidance, and that he accepts His decree, where in fact he will only be pleased with his whims and desires and what his heart longs for.
To conclude, you should do the following:
1- Ask Allaah to make it easy for you to marry a righteous woman who will help you in this world and in the Hereafter.
2- Strive to look for this righteous woman.
3- Forget about this girl, and stop thinking about her altogether, and believe that goodness is in whatever Allaah decrees for you.
4- Do not feel upset because you were rejected for no reason; there may be reasons known only to her, that you know nothing about.
We ask Allaah to help us and you to do what which He loves and is pleased with.
And Allaah knows best.
