Taqwa: Fear of the Almighty

Bismillahir-Rahma-nir-Raheem
A person once asked the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam), "O Messenger of Allah! Give me some advice." The Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) replied, "I advise you to fear
Allahbecause it is the head of everything."
This is taqwa--having fear of the Majestic, theAll-Mighty, Most High,
Most Exalted, the One Creator, the Supreme Power.
Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, "Have fear of Allah, it
is the head of everything." But to have fear of Allah, we must attain
God-consciousness, theawareness that Allah isdeeply involved in every
aspect of our lives, in our every action, in our every thought, in
every spoken word. He sees what we do hidden and what we do openly. He
sees all that we do, whether it's intentional or unintentional,
whetherit's an evil, sinful act or a good, rewardful act. He hears all
we say, whether we say it to someone's face, to ourselves, behind
someone's back, or in our innermost thoughts. He is the Alive, the
Eternal and He is closer to us than the vein in our neck (Suratul Qaaf
50:16).
The likeness of one who has the awareness of the reality of Allah's
existence in every single act, every single decision, every single
word, every single thought is the likeness of a dry, curled up desert
plant that receives a drop of moisture, which will make it spread out
its leaves and sink its roots and flourish and blossom. Similarly,
onewho feels Allah in theirheart at every breath they take and in
every aspect of their lives and in everything they do from the
important and profound to the everyday, simple tasks becomes aware of
the great thirst, the great dependence and the great joy his or her
life had been lacking without this devotion, without this urge to
serve. And with it they strive for the pleasure of their Lord, finding
fulfillment and happiness.
Taqwa--fear of Allah. There was a time when this actually meant
something. There was a time when Umar bin al-Khattaab (radiyallahu
anhu) merely said a two-word khutbah. He said, "Ittaqullah!" Fear
Allah! And with that hestarted the Jumu'ah prayer. But today, we are
in a situation in which these two words alone will hold no weight as
it did at the time of the Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and
his companions (radiyallahu anhum). There was a time when fearing
Allah, theOne, the True, was a type of advice in whichpeople did take
heed, but today its means absolutely nothing to us. Instead of having
fear of He, whose hands hold our very lives, instead of havingfear of
He who holds our destinies, instead of having fear of He who takes not
our eyesight or our hearing or our ability to feel, but gives us
thousands of chances daily to turn to Him, who do we fear? We fear our
friends, our peer group. We fear them so much that we disobey that
same God,who loves us so much that He forgives all our sins if only
one tear falls from our eyes onto our cheeks. One tear! We go out with
our friends, even our relatives, to make them happy and to fit in. We
go to the movies, we go out partying at clubs and pubs committing sins
and earning the displeasure of Allah and earning the pleasure of
Shaytaan (Satan) for their sake."Here just have a sip ofthis. It's not
gonna do nothing," or, "Smoke a joint, man. What's wrong with you
mama's boy?!?" or,"Come on, baby, just once if you really love me."
These phrases might sound familiar to some of us. Instead of realizing
that one day, on a day in which there is no doubt, we will be called
up one by one to answer for every deed we committed and then either
thrown into the Hellfire or welcomed into Paradise, we obey the
disbelievers and the hypocrites (Muslims only by name):
"O Prophet! Keep your duty to Allah and obey not the disbelievers and
the hypocrites. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. And follow
that which is inspired to you from your Lord. Verily, Allah is well
aquainted with what you do. And put your trust in Allah and Sufficient
is Allah as Trustee." (Suratul Ahzaab 33:1-3)
"How do you disbelieve in Allah when He gave you life when you were
dead, then He will give you death, then life again, then unto Him you
will return?" (Suratul Baqarah 2:28)
Instead of fearing the one who gave us life after we were dead, the
One who bestows upon us food to keep our stomachs full, clothes to
keep us warm, and houses to protect us, who do we fear? We fear our
employers and our teachers. And because of fear of them, we choose not
to worship that One, Powerful Lord at our prescribed times. We fear
them?!?!? Them, who Allah, Himself created--created them as He created
us, the believers, out of the dust of the earth?!? Yet, we fear them,
whothemselves will have no protects, no friends,no helpers, nor any
interceders against Allah on the Day of Resurrection. Imagine, we make
the choice not to worship the Lord of Kindness. And, in reality, we
fear everything, but we fearnot Allah, the Source ofall Goodness.
"It is only Shaytaan that suggests to you the fear of his friends and
supporters (disbelievers) so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are
true believers." (Suratul Ali Imran 3:175)
"Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him, keep their duty to Him,and
those who are doers of good for the sake of Allah only." (Suratul Nahl
16:128)
"Whoever fears Allah, Allah will grant him a way out of hardship; and
whoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will forgive his
sins from him and will enlarge his reward." (Suratut-Talaq 65:2, 5)
"Verily, those who are fearful of Allah are the people who, when an
evil thought from Shaytaan comes to them, they remember Allah, and
indeed they then see aright." (Suratul A'raaf 7:20)
Once the fear and awareness of Allah dawns on a person, lifeis never
the same. When a person's heart opens up to Allah, it cannot be. The
way we view life, how we see life, our ambitions in life, our
expectations in life, our goals in life, all change. After this, every
aspect of life is seen with a spiritual and Islamic dimension.There is
a reason, an aim, a goal to it all, a sense of justice and
fulfillment, and a senseof a relationship with one's Creator, the
Creator who is deeply involved with every action and thought of our
lives.
"It is Allah Who gives life and death and Allah sees well all that you
do." (Suratul Ali Imran 3:156)
"Truly my Lord casts (a mantle) of Truth (over His servants), He that
has full knowledge of (all) that is hiddenIf I am astray it is only at
the loss of my own soul; but if I receive guidance, it is because of
the inspirations of my Lord to me; it is He Who hears all things and
is ever near." (Suratus-Saba 34:48, 50)
This is why it is also important to realize that Islam is a way of
life. It is not just a ritual of prayers, fasting, and feasting. Islam
is the true deen, the Deen of Allah, a complete system of lifeand this
life, the Islamic life, is to be lived the way Allah hasprescribed it.
And it starts with taqwa. Now, taqwa is more than just having fear
ofAllah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Umar ibn Abdul Aziz (radiyallahu anhu) narrated: "Taqwa is not fasting
during the day and it is not praying during the night and it is not
the mixing of the two of them, but taqwa is leaving what Allah has
made haram (forbidden) and by doing what Allah has made fard. After
one has done this, Allah will provide good things for that person."
Al Hasan (radiyallahu anhu) reported: "The people who have taqwa
(called al-muttaqeen) are the people who avoided whatever Allah
prohibited and had done whatever Allah ordained."
And this, doing what ispermitted and refraining from what is
prohibited comes from the fear and awareness of Allah's presence. The
means of obtaining taqwa is in our grasp and our ability; it is in our
very homes, and it is what our arwah (souls) crave. The means of
gaining taqwa, the fear of Allah, which leads to a more nourished and
healthy ruh, which leads to a more obedient Muslim,which leads to
refraining from all haram, which leads to striving to gain Allah's
pleasure, which helps lead us to success, which will lead us to Jannah
(Insha Allah) is the remembrance of Allah azzowajal, His dhikr, and it
is the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, His very words. This is why the
Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, "Fear Allahit is the head
of everything."
It is so easy to remember Allah and toglorify and praise Him,
especially once we've reached this step. For example, when we are
standing in line at the grocery store with all our goods--breads,
cereals, drinks, sweets,nourishments, we should do
tasbih--Subhannallah, Alhumdulillah, Allahu Abkar, and just speak to
Allah in your heart and thank Him for His blessings. Simple. Remember
Allah, praise Him, wherever you are, whatever you are doing.
Another means of gaining taqwa is the guidance of the Qur'an.Its
greatness and its power, is only known to those who experience it and
receive its guidance. Its words have the dynamic power that noother
words could everpossess. It contains thevery words of Allah. Imagine:
holding the very sacred, holy, divine words of the only Supreme Being,
the Only One worthy of being worshipped. What a blessing! We must keep
a habit of reciting the Qur'an, even if it is just a few verses before
heading to work or school, or if we cannot even do that, even
listening to the tilawah, the recitation, of the Holy Book in the car
is, itself, a beautiful experience. The words of the Qur'an are so
powerful, it could make every hair on ourbodies stand to the fear of
Allah.
"Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Suratur-Ra'd 13:28)
The observance of salah, the one most important act of worship, in the
eyes of Allah, is another means of gaining taqwa and closeness
toAllah, if offered properly and regularly.It is the first thing we
will be questioned about on the Day of Judgement. It is also one of
the good deeds that will protect one from the torment of the grave.
Salah is the heart of Islam and it is the heart of faith (iman). It
saves us from evil and helps us lead a pure life. It expresses our
gratitude to Allah for His mercy and His kindness. By our salah, we
not only glorify andworship the Creator of all that is in the heavens
and all that is in the earth, but we seek His forgiveness through it.
It is blessedand we are blessed to receive a type of worship that has
the power to absolve us of our sins if offered regularly, properly,
and sincerely.
To be included among the muttaqeen, those who have taqwa, we must
refrain from all forbidden acts, all forbidden words, thoughts,
feelings, and emotions, all forbidden celebrationsand gatherings,
which are places of fitna; we must refrain from those who practice and
do what is forbidden and displeased by Allah and stick with the pious
and righteous, who will help us make a habit of doing what is good and
pleasing toAllah and help us refrain from what is sinful and
displeasing to Allah.
In conclusion, from what Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi
wa sallam) has outlined for us, we can see that a person who possesses
taqwa is notone who lives an isolated life, only praying and fasting
and maintaining good character alone. Instead, the muttaqeenare those
who fear Allah and look to what Allah has ordained in the carrying out
of his actions to avoid His displeasure and anger. These are they who
areinvolved with the strengthening of the Ummah, active in his or her
life concerned with the affairs of the Muslims while, at the same
time, keeping their duty to their Lord--praying, fasting, spending in
Allah's cause, having good morals, behaviors, and characteristics.
This is why the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said fearing
Allah is the head of everything. Without this, life is just life, the
daily grind, a gradual process from life to death, but with the
blessing of Islam, we could make our lives more than just life, more
than just the daily grind, more than just a gradual process from life
to death, by the guidance of the Most Glorious Book, the Holy Qur'an
and by the Sunnah, the sayings and teachings of Prophet
Muhammad(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam).
The Prophet (sallallahualaiyhi wa sallam) said, "The most common
reason for people to enter Jannah is taqwa and good manners and the
most common reason for people to enter the Hellfire is the mouth and
the private part!" In his last khutbah, the Prophet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam) said, "I ask you to fear Him, listen to Him, and
obey."
"Truly, the muttaqeen will be amidst Gardensand water springs (Paradise)."
(Suratul Hijr 15:45)
May the Turner of hearts, turn our hearts towards His obedience. May
He giveus the towfique to change in order to fearand obey Him. Our
Lord! Make us submissive to You and of our seed a nation submissive to
You and show us our ways of worship and relent towards us, Lo! You,
only You are the Relenting the Merciful (2:128). Our Lord! Cause not
our hearts togo astray after You have guided us and bestow upon us
mercy from Your presence. Lo! You, only You, are the Bestower. Our
Lord! It is You, Who gathers mankind together on a Day in which there
is no doubt (3:8-9). Our Lord! Lo! We believe; so forgive us our sins
and guard us from the punishment of the fire (3:16)! Ameen.

* The oldest-known bird fossil is Archaeopteryx, which dates back
some 150 million years. With its perfect flight muscles and feathers
ideally suited to flight, this animal was a flying bird.The dinosaur
fossil in thelatest study seeking to establish a relation with birds
is only 68 million years old. This means that birds were in existence
some 80 million years before this dinosaur. For that reason, the idea
that there is an evolutionary link to this dinosaur, andthat birds
"evolved from dinosaurs" is a fantasy.
* These efforts are all in vain. Modern science has revealed that
the extraordinary complexity in the origin of life cannot be explained
from a materialist perspective. Reports of this kind on the press are
just hopeless and misleadingtactics on the part of various circles
holding a materialist world view. Living things were created through
Almighty Allah commanding them to "Be!" not through a chance process
of evolution.
The newly announced Tyrannosaurus fossil, which is claimed to havea
familial link to birds, is 68 million years old. Yet the fossil known
as Confuciusornis, shown above and belonging to an extinct species of
bird, is fully 120 million years old.
1. Not one single proteincan come into being by chance.
Proteins are complex molecules that both represent the building
blocks of living cells and also assume various functions within the
cell.When the chances of an average protein molecule emerging by
chance are calculated, the result is a number consisting of 10
followed by 950 zeros. Inpractical mathematical terms, such a figure
represents "zero probability."
2. Irreducibly complex organs refute evolution.
Irreducible complexity is a characteristic that invalidates the
claim of gradual development that lies at the basis of the theory of
evolution. For example, there is irreducible complexity inthe eye and
in wings. It is impossible for the organelles that combine to make up
the eye, suchas the tear gland, the retina and iris to form
individually by chance. Because sight will only occur when all the
components of the eye are all perfectly formed. The same thing applies
to the wing.
3. The inconceivable amount of information in DNA repudiates chance.
The information concerning all characteristics, from a person's
physical appearance to the structure of their internal organs is
encoded by a special system in their DNA. If we were to try to put the
genetic information in DNA down on paper, we would need to createa
huge library of 900 volumes of 500 pages each. But this inconceivable
quantity of information is contained in those parts of DNA known as
"genes." And it is an absolute fact that DNA cannot emerge by chance.
4. The fossil record points to Creation.
Although some 100 million fossils belonging to 250,000 different
species have been unearthed, not even onesupports Darwinism. Each one
of the fossils discovered, belongs to fully formed and
flawlessorganisms. Were evolutionists' claims true, a large part out
of so many fossils should belong to "intermediate life forms," though
not asingle one actually does.
5. Life forms appeared suddenly in the Cambrian Period.
Nearly all the main physical structures in living things (categories
such as arthropods, chordates etc.) emerged in the Cambrian Period,
some 530 million years ago. While only 1 or 2 of these main categories
existed prior to the Cambrian, more than 50 emerged suddenly in
different parts of the world during the Cambrian Period. Pre-Cambrian
life forms have simpler structures, while those from the Cambrian are
incomparably more complex. For example, there is no difference between
the structure ofthe eye of the trilobite, which emerged during this
period, and that of eyes today.
6. "Living fossils" are a response to evolutionist myths.
Living fossils are striking proof that, totally demolish the
theory of evolution's claim of "gradual development." The reason why
they are known as "living fossils" is that despite being hundreds of
millions of years old, they are identical to specimens living today.
There are many specimens of living fossils, from ants to trees and
from bats tosharks. This is definitive evidence that no evolution ever
took place in the course of natural history.
7. Reptiles are not the ancestors of birds.
Evolutionists are no longer able to point to Archaeopteryx as an
intermediate form between reptiles and birds. Examinations of this
fossil shown that it is not a transitional form, and that it is an
extinct bird with a few different features to those of present-day
birds. The presence of a breastbone indicating powerful flight
muscles and an asymmetric feather structure identical to that in
modern-day birds show that the animal was ableto fly to perfection.
8. Fish did not emerge onto dry land.
Evolutionists used to point to the fish known as the Coelacanth
as evidence for the myth ofa transition from water to dry land. It
used to be thought that the Coelacanth represented an intermediate
form between fish and amphibians. However, a "living" specimen of a
Coelacanth was caught in the Indian Ocean in 1938. More than 200 other
specimens have been caught since. Examinations of living Coelacanths
revealed that it is a perfectly structured fish and that all the
previous conjectures about the fossils was mistaken.
9. Mutations do not form new species.
Mutations are breakages or dislocations occurring asa result of
radiation or chemical agents in the DNA molecule in the nucleus of the
living cell that carries genetic information. DNA has a highly
complex structure. Therefore, anyrandom change in the molecule will be
damaging to it. Mutations usually lead toirreparable damage and
deformity, and even to death. The people exposed to the disasters at
Hiroshima, Nagasaki or Chernobyl are living indications of this. The
claim that mutations are an evolutionary mechanism is proof of the
dead-end in which the theory of evolution finds itself.
10. Natural selection does not lead to evolution.
Natural selection is an expression of the survival of strong
living things best suited to their surroundings. But this does not
give rise to any new species. For example, in a herd of zebra under
threat from predators, those zebras able to run fast will survive and
the herd willeventually come to consist of fast-running individuals.
But this process is a limited one and cannot turn the zebra into any
other species. Because zebra have their own unique skeletal structure
and physiology recorded in their DNA, and the struggle against
predators cannot alter that information nor bestow any new genetic
information on the zebra.
11. Human beings never evolved, but were created as humans.
It has emerged that the human family tree is a diagram drawn up
solely in the light of evolutionists' imaginations. Evolutionists
maintainedthat human beings emerged gradually in the following line of
progression:"Australopithecines > Homo habilis > Homo erectus> Homo
sapiens" They sought to give the impression that each one of the life
forms in that list was the forerunner of the one after it. But the
discovery of these life forms, which evolutionists portray as one
another's ancestors, right beside one anotherhas demolished this
family tree. The latest discoveries by paleoanthropologists show that
Australopithecines, Homo habilis and Homo erectus existed at the same
time in different parts of the world.
12. Evolutionists resort to frauds.
Evolutionists also resort to frauds in order to "prove" their
theory. To date, there has been a great deal of such evolutionist
fraud as that in embryo drawingsand in fossils being hidden away or
destroyed. The most striking example is the Piltdown Man fraud.
It was suggested thata skull discovered in 1912 near Piltdown in
England belonged to an "ape-man." This fossil, the skull of which
exhibited human features and the jaw those of an orangutan, was
displayed in the famous British Museum for 40 years. However, it was
finally exposed as a forgery in 1953. The fossil had been produced by
evolutionists who combined a human skull and an orangutan jaw and used
chemicals to give it an aged appearance.

come to see that all living creatures are brought into being by the
will and at the command of our Lord, Allah. That is what the poll
results show.
DARWINISM HAS BEEN ANNIHILATED AND DEMOLISHED ACROSS THE WHOLE WORLD,
BEFORE THE VERY EYES OF THE LOYAL ADHERENTS OF MATERIALIST PHILOSOPHY.
The level of people believing in the fact of Creation stood at 85% in
a poll conducted on the web site of Blick, one of Switzerland's
widest-read newspapers.
According to a poll regarding whether or not evolution actually
happened that appearedon the web site of Süddeutsche Zeitung, one of
Germany's main dailies, the level of thosebelieving that human beings
are the work of aCreator stands at 87%.
The German daily Die Welt, one of the countries most important
publications, conducted a poll about Creation on its website.
Eighty-six percent of the participants responded to the question "How
do you think life came into being?" by saying "Allah created it." -

The appearance of the angels that will be alongside Hazrat Mahdi (as) is something that will take place in the spiritual world alone, and will therefore be visible only to the angels

To suggest that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be a mostextraordinary person
and that he will be recognized as soon as heappears is a claim that
conflicts totally with the hadith of our Prophet (saas) and with the
law of Allah. According to some people who insist on making such a
claim, tanks, shells and even atom bombs will have no effect on Hazrat
Mahdi (as). In addition, they say that when people look above Hazrat
Mahdi's (as) head they will see angels on a cloud, and these will
constantly point Hazrat Mahdi (as) out to people.The fact is, however,
that THE HADITH OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS) SAY THAT THE GREAT MAHDI OF THE
END TIMES WILL BE SUBJECTED TO PRESSURE, DURESS AND OPPRESSION FROM
THE SYSTEM OF THE DAJJAL, THAT HE WILL BE IMPRISONED AND LIVE WITH THE
THREAT OF DEATH, THAT HIS HANDS AND FEET WILL BE CHAINED, THAT A
COPPER TABLET WILL BE HUNG AROUND HIS NECK, THAT HE WILL BE ABANDONED
TO SUFFERING AND TROUBLE AND THAT HE WILL BE ISOLATED.
It is also perfectly apparent from the hadith of our Prophet (saas)
that there will be angels alongside Hazrat Mahdi (as) and that these
angels will help him.
HAZRAT JIBRIL (AS) AND HAZRAT MIKHAIL (AS) AND FORTY-SIX THOUSAND
(46,000) ANGELS WILL BE IMAM MAHDI'S [HAZRAT MAHDI'S (AS)] HELPERS AND

HOWEVER , THE APPEARANCE OF THE ANGELS THAT WILL BE ALONGSIDE HAZRAT
MAHDI(AS) IS SOMETHING THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE SPIRITUAL WORLD
ALONE, AND WILL THEREFORE BE VISIBLE ONLY TO THE ANGELS.
If, as some people maintain, Hazrat Mahdi (as) were an extraordinary
entity with angels visible around his head and immune to guns, tanks
and shells, then how canhe be imprisoned, tortured and persecuted,and
live in great difficulty? How can anyone imprison or mistreat someone
who isinvulnerable to guns andbombs? In addition, our Prophet (saas)
says therewill be a time when Hazrat Mahdi (as) disappears from sight.
If,as they maintain, Hazrat Mahdi (as) were an extraordinary person,
why would he feel the need to hide away and live out of sight?
The hadith of our Prophet (saas) compare Hazrat Mahdi (as) to the
Prophet Yusuf (as) with regard to the way that he will live hidden
from sight and be imprisoned,and to the Prophet Musa (as) with regard
to the way that he will face intense dangers and live with the threat
of death,plots, arrest, detention and exile.
Imam Zayn al-Abidin stated: "There are some similarities between our
Qaim [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] and Allah's messengers. He has similarities
to each one of prophet Nuh(as), Ibrahim (as), Musa (as), Isa (as),
Ayyub (as) and Muhammad (saas). He has similarity to NUH (as) in
having a long life;to IBRAHIM (as) in havinghis birth being hidden and
his staying away from the public; TO MUSA (AS) IN HIS STATE OF FEAR
(THE INTENSITY OF DANGERS DIRECTED TO HAZRAT MAHDI (AS); HIS BEING
FACE TO FACE TO ALLKINDS OF DANGER LIKE MURDER, PLOTTING, ARREST,
TAKING INTO CUSTODY AND EXILE) AND HIS CONSTANTLY SPENDING HIS LIFE
HIDING ; to ISA (as) in people being in conflict about him (some
people will say Hazrat Mahdi (as) will come while others will say he
will not); to AYYUB (as) in being delivered to salvation after trouble
(Hazrat Mahdi (as) will also suffer many difficulties, diseases and
trouble; however just like Prophet Ayyub (as) he will be saved by
Allah's mercy); to Muhammad (saas) in his standing up with his sword
[our Prophet's (saas) holy relics like his holy standard, sword and
cardigan will be with Hazrat Mahdi (as)].

Sadr al-Sayrafi says: I heard Imam Abu Abdullah Jaffar al-Sadiq say:
He said: "THE OWNER OF THIS TASK [THE HAZRATMAHDI (AS)] WILL HAVE A
RESEMBLENCE TO YUSUF (AS)]." AND I SAID: "IT IS AS IF YOU ARE TELLING
US OF A DISAPPEARANCE OR ASTONISHMENT."

Abu Bashir says: I heard Imam Muhammad Baqr (as) say: "HE WHO
POSSESSES THIS OCCULTATION [HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)] WILL HAVE THE SUNNA OF
FOUR PROPHETS. ONE SUNNA FROM THE PROPHET MUSA, ONE FROM THE PROPHET
'ISA (AS), ONE FROM THE PROPHET YUSUF (AS) AND ONE FROM THE PROPHET
MUHAMMAD (SAAS), may the peace of Allah be upon them all.
I SAID: WHAT IS THE SUNNA OF MUSA (AS)? HE SAID: TO WITHDRAW AND HIDE
AWAY . I SAID: WHAT IS THE SUNNA OF 'ISA (AS)? AND HE SAID: WHAT IS
SAID ABOUT 'ISA (AS) WILLALSO BE SAID ABOUT HIM . I SAID, WHAT IS THE
SUNNA OF YUSUF (AS)? AND HE SAID: IMPRISONMENT AND OCCULTATION . I
SAID, WHAT IS THE SUNNA OF THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAAS)? HE SAID: HE
WILL FOLLOW IN THE PATH OF THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH WHEN HE APPEARS .
ONLY HE WILL ELUCIDATE THE WORKS OF THE MESSENGEROF ALLAH... I said:
How will he know Allah's approval? And he said:"Allah will manifest
His mercy in his heart."
(Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim Nomani, al-Ghaybah al-Nomani, p. 191)
Our Prophet (saas) even received a sword blow and one of his teeth
wasbroken. Many prophets were martyred on Allah'spath, many companions
and members of the Ahl al-Bayt were martyred on the field of battle or
else lost hands, or eyes or other parts of their bodies. SINCE NONE OF
THE PROPHETS HAVE BEEN SENT WITH SUCH EXTRAORDINARY ATTRIBUTES IT IS
IMPOSSIBLE TO CLAIM THAT HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WILL BE SENT WITH SUCH
WONDROUS ATTRIBUTES.
Allah reveals in the Qur'an that some people from the tribe of our
Prophet (saas) claimed that an angel should come down as proof that
the Prophet Muhammad (saas) was actually a prophet. After that, He
reveals that our Prophet (saas) was simply a human being sent as a
warner, a messenger:
Perhaps you are leaving aside part of what has been revealed to you
and your breast is constricted by this because they say, "Why has
treasure not been sent down to him OR AN ANGEL NOT ACCOMPANIED HIM?"
You are only a warner and Allah is Guardian over all things. (Surah
Hud, 12)
In another verse it is revealed that people who denied the prophets
generally demand to see angels as a condition of belief:
Why do you not BRING ANGELS TO US if you are telling the truth?' The
angels only descend with the truth and then they would be granted no
reprieve. (Surat al-Hijr, 7-8)
Allah also reveals in verses of the Qur'an that everyone will have
recording angels on either side of them. IN THE SAME WAY THAT NOBODY
IN THE LIFE OF THIS WORLD CAN SEE THE RECORDING ANGELS ON EITHER SIDE
OF PEOPLE, IF JIBRIL (AS) WHO FREQUENTLY BRINGS REVELATIONS COME
WITHOUT BEING SEEN TO PEOPLE, THEN JIBRIL (AS) AND MIKHAIL (AS) AND
THE46,000 OTHER ANGEL HELPERS ALONGSIDE HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WILL NOT BE
VISIBLE, EITHER.
One hadith narrated from our Prophet (saas) says that an angel that
will help Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be invisible even to him:
He [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] will follow in the footsteps of our Prophet
(saas). THERE WILL BE AN ANGEL WHO HELPS HIM WITHOUT BEING SEEN. He
will restore the weary and help the weak.

Fathwa, - Hadeeth about offering advice to the ruler

Question
you have mentioned this hadith and i want it reference and
authenticity . the hadith is "Sa'eed ibn Jubayr once asked Ibn 'Abbaas
both, whether or not he was obligated to enjoin the ruler to do what
is good, and forbid him from doing what is evil. Ibn 'Abbaas both,
answered that if he feared he would be killed, he was not obliged to
do so. Ibn Jubayr repeated the same question thrice andevery time Ibn
'Abbaas' answer was the same, but he added that if it was inevitable,
he shouldadvise him privately."
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
isHis slave and Messenger.
This Hadeeth was reported by Sa'eed ibn Mansoor in his Sunan andby
Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab Al-Eemaan , and by Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah in
his Musannaf but with the wording: "…..a man said to Ibn 'Abbaas
…...". We have not come across any scholar who either classified it as
Saheeh (sound) or as Dha'eef (weak).
However, many scholars tend to provide it as evidence and this
suggests that it is authentic according to them, or that the wording
that it contains is confirmed in other authentic Ahaadeeth, likethe
one reported by Ibn Abi 'Aasim in his book entitled "As-Sunnah" from
'Iyaadh ibn Ghanm that the Prophet said: ''Whoever wants to give
advice to the Sultan (leader/ruler), he should not do that in public
but he should take him by the hand and go into seclusion with him. If
the ruler accepts his advice, then that is good and thisis what is
required, and ifnot, he (the adviser) has fulfilled his obligation. "
