*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

If a couple have debts must zakat be paid for the gold the wife has?

Question:
If a couple have debtsmust zakat be paid for the gold the wife has?
Answer:
Wa alaik as salam
First of all, you need to understand that even as a couple living together, each spouse is obligated to perform his/her own duties. Debt's incurred by the husband will not be counted as the wife's debts and vice versa.
Secondly, in light of the above, if the debts have been incurred by the husband, he may deduct them from his annual zakah i.e. 2.5% of total zakatable wealth owned by the husband only and give the remainder if any.
The wife has to give zakahseparately. If she has incurred the debts, she may deduct them from the total zakah due on herwealth only. Otherwise she has to give full zakah on her assets including all gold and silver jewelry.
Both their wealth will not be considered as one unless it is jointly owned.
And only Allah Almighty knows best./ - - - :-> Transtors: 1.http://free-translation.imtranslator.net/lowres.asp 2.http://translate.google.com/m?twu=1&hl=en&vi=m&sl=auto&tl=en

types of angels?

In almost all cultures, Angels have their place. What they do and how
they serve depends on what type they are. The word "angel" is from the
Greek word, angelos, meaning 'messenger'. There are actually nine
different types of angels. Serphim, cherubim, thrones, dominations,
principalities, virtues, powers, archangels and guardian angels. Some
only have the job of worshipping God, while others are messengers for
God. Yet others are our protectors and some do battle with devils.
The serphim is the highest of the nine types. They are the closest to
God. They circle God's throne with their love and devotion. They are
said to have six wigs, have a body of a horse and a face of a long
bearded man. They have never been seen by humans.
The second highest of angels, are the cherubim. They are said to
possess great knowledge and wisdom. Their duties to God include
keeping records and keeping an eye on things in heaven. Their vast
knowledge and wisdom is so great that if a human were to look upon
them, the human would go blind with their brilliance. They have
neverbeen seen by humans.
The third highest are thrones. They are the counselors and
companionangels. The thrones are also known as the "many-eyed ones."
The thrones have the job of carrying out divine judgments. They have
never been seen by humans.
Next in line are the dominions. The dominations have the virtues and
powers. Their job in heaven is to delegate jobs to the lower angels.
They take care of the smaller details in heaven and earth. For any
other jobs, the cherubim and thrones tell them what to do. They have
rarely been seen by humans.
Following the dominions are the virtues. They virtues preside over the
elements of the world. They watch over nature and have rarely been
seen by humans.
After the virtues are the powers. Their duties include stopping the
demons efforts for domination. They are also responsible for the
cosmic order and to watch over the human raced.
The principalities come next. These angels have the job of caretakers
of every nation all the way down to every home. Theywork with guardian
angelsand are assigned to people.
The archangels follow after the principalities. Their job is rule over
stellar orders.
Last are the guardian angles. They watch over allof us. Their job is
to guild and protect us.
Angels were created by God before humans as pure spirit; they are all
symbols of all that is good. They carry out our communications with
God.They are immortal. According to Scriptures, there is no indication
of exactly when angels were created, except they were created before
man. They areimmortal. In normal form they are pure energy or spirit.
But when need be, they assume human form.
We have celebrated angelsfor centuries in books, painting and
sculptures. Alldefine and describe angles as wearing white with huge
white feathered wings and sometimes witha beautiful halos around their
heads. Most of us even have figurines in our homes of angles, most as
symbols of protection.
Whether you believe in them or not, they have been mentioned
throughout the centuries and have a strong place in time.

accordance with sharee'ah, and whatever there is of innovation in
itmay be forgiven on the basis that he tried to work out what was
correct or he was following someone and thus may be excused. The same
applies to whatever is mentioned of benefits of certain actions;
whatever benefit is gained may be because ofwhatever in his action was
in accordance with sharee'ah, such as fasting, dhikr, reading Qur'aan,
bowing, prostrating and good intentions in worshipping and obeying
Allah and calling upon Him. And whatever it included of things that
aredisliked in sharee'ah may be forgiven by Allah because he based his
action of what he thoughtwas best or he followed the example of
someone else. And this is applicableto everything that may bementioned
of the benefitsof some innovated actionsthat are disliked, but
nevertheless this possible benefit does not cancel out the fact that
it is disliked and forbidden, and one should do what is prescribed and
has no innovation in it.

And Allah knows best.
