*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Good News

In an earlier section, we mentioned that those sincere believers who
givethemselves to Allah will enjoy His blessings in this life before
they enter Paradise. One of the most important blessings is the
promise of good news to believers. Several verses"speak of Allah's
promise of Paradise and the announcement of this good news to
believers asfollows:
Their Lord gives them the good news of His mercy and good pleasure,
and Gardens where they will enjoy everlasting delight. (Surat
at-Tawba, 21)
There is good news for them in the life of the world and in the
hereafter. There is no changing the words of Allah. That is the great
victory! (Surah Yunus, 64)
The hearts of those believers who have hope in this good news trust
that their good works willfind favor in Allah's sight, that the
blessings they await are close at hand, and are filled with
contentment.
The Qur'an states that believers will receive the good news also from
angels. Those faithful servants who sincerely believe in Allah and
associate nothing with Him, who carefully obey the Qur'an's commands
and counsel, and are eager to live according to its moral teaching,
may hope for this joyful news. Certainly, this news is an
indescribable joy for all believers who ardently desire Paradise. As
we read in the Qur'an:
The angels descend upon those who say: "Our Lord is Allah," and then
go straight: "Do not fear or grieve, but receive the glad tiding of
Paradise that you have been promised. We are your protectors in the
life of the world and the hereafter. You will have there all that your
selves could wish for. You will have there everything that you demand.
Hospitality from the One Who is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surah
Fussilat, 30-32)
Allah has also entrusted the prophets with announcing this good news.
In Surat al-Ahzab, 47, Allah commands the Prophet (saas) to
proclaimthat believers will receive an immense reward from Him; In
Surah Ya Sin, 11, He reveals him that"thosewho obey the Qur'an and
stand in awe of the Most Gracious will receive pardon and an excellent
reward; and Surat az-Zumar, 17 announces that those who shun the
worship of false gods and turn toward Allah will have good news. And
in Surah Yunus, 2, Allah tells His Messenger to "give good news to
those who believe, that they are on asure footing with their Lord."
When we look at the common characteristics ofthe believers, those
described in the above verses as those given the good news of
Paradise, we see that they are sincere people who are extremely close
to Allah, acknowledge their weakness, obey the Qur'an and the Prophet,
and fear Allah.

The Muslim is Tolerant and Forgiving

If he becomes angry with his brother, the true Muslim restrains his
anger and is quick to forgive him,and does not see any shame in doing
so. Rather, he sees it as a good deed which will bring him closerto
Allah and earn him His love which He bestows only on those who do
good:
"…[those] who restrain anger and pardon [all] men – for Allah loves
thosewho do good." (Qur'an, 3:134)
A man may be able to restrain his anger, but resentment may be
smoldering in his heart, and may turn into deep-rooted hatred. Open
anger and rage are healthier than hidden resentment and malice.
The true Muslim whose soul has been saturated with this religion does
not harbor grudges; if he restrains his anger, he thenfollows that
with forgiveness, and thus he will be among those who do good.
Anger is very difficult to restrain, for it is a heavy burden on the
heart. But when a person forgives another, this heavy burdenis lifted,
freeing him, soothing him and bringingpeace of mind. These are the
feelings of ihsaan (goodness) which the Muslim feels when he forgives
his brother.
The true Muslim is forgiving towards his brother, purely for the sake
of Allah. He hopes thereby to earn the honor which the Prophet,
sallallahu` alayhi wa sallam referred to in the hadith:
"Allah will not increase His servant except in honor. No one humbles
himself for the sake of Allah, but Allah will raise his status."
(Muslim)
It is a great honor from Allah, which combines with the good
characteristics of the tolerant, forgiving Muslim, so that he becomes
one of those who do good whomAllah loves, and one of those honored
ones whompeople love.
Resentment has no place in the heart of the sensitive Muslim who
trulyunderstands his religion. He realizes the value of forgiveness
and purity of heart, and their importance if he seeks Allah's
forgiveness, as the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, explained:
"There are three sins, whoever dies free of these sins will be
forgiven for anything else if Allah wills:associating anything with
Allah; practicing magic or witchcraft; and bearing resentment towards
his brother." (Reported by al-Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad)

Listen to this very carefully

Amr (RA) narrates that Prophet (SAW) one day delivered a sermon
saying: Listen carefully! The world and its things are temporary
commodity(and as such have no worth and value), shared and consumed by
both the good and the evil people alike! Indeed, the Hereafter is
truly a reality and will arrive at its appointed time in which
Judgement will be made by a Powerful King. Listen carefully! Indeed
all good,in all its varieties, is in Paradise! Indeed all evil, in all
its varieties, is in the Fire. Understand it well; whatever you do, do
it being fearful of Allah; and understand that you will be presented
(in front of Allah) with you actions. Whosoever does an atom's worth
of good, he will see it, and whosoeverdoes an atom's worth of evil, he
will see it!

The Qur'an is an integral part of every Muslim individual's life...but we have taken this Noble Gift from Allah, for granted!

The Qur'an is an integral part of every Muslim individual's life...but
we have taken this Noble Gift from Allah, for granted!
What has happened to ourhearts O 'Ibad Allah?
Why are our hearts locked out and unresponsive to the Qur'an?
Why do the words enter from one ear and exit out the other?
Why have our hearts hardened?
Let us CHANGE our attitudes this RAMADAN! Let us strive hard to read,
recite & comprehend the Qur'an. Let us be from those who implement the
Qur'an in our days & recite it during our nights.
O Allah! Make the Qur'an the delight of our hearts & the light of our
breasts & the remover of our pain, sorrow & discomfort.
