The Day of Judgment will not come unless the following incidents come
true…Time will shorten while distances will get shorter by means of
vehicles. (Buhari, Fitan.25; Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 2/313)
In our century, voyages which lasted for months in previous ages can
be made in only a few hours in incomparably safer, easier and more
comfortable forms.
This is how the sign of the hadith becomes manifest.
In another hadith of our Prophet (saas) we find the following
information regarding the shortening of time:
Hazrat Anas (ra) relates:"Resûlullah aleyhissalâtu wesselâm told:
The Day of Judgment doesnot come unless times shortens. This
shortening occurs in such a way that ayear lasts as shortly as a
month, a month runs as shortly as a week, a week as a single day, a
day as anhour and an hour as lighting a kindle. (Tirmidhi,Zuhd: 24,
2333)
Time shortens and night and day come close together… (Death, the Day
of Judgment-the Portents of the End Times, p. 374, no. 681)
The hadith also reveals that time-saving will be peculiar to the End Times:
Indeed, communication that took weeks among continents in previous
ages can be accomplished in only a matter of seconds by means of the
Internet and other communication technologies.
In our time, it is quite possible to purchase the goods that used to
arrive at the end of months-longcaravan voyages in a matter of a
couple of weeks, or a month at most.
Today millions of books can be published during the space of time that
wasrequired to publish a single book a few centuries ago.
All these aside, mundane daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, child
care, maintenance, and shopping no longer take too much time by means
of the state of the art electronic devices.
Thus has this portent of the End Times is also taking place just as
how it was heralded by our Prophet (saas).
It is scientifically proven that time shortens
In the space existing between the surface of theEarth and the
conductive ionosphere, there exists a natural vibration. This
fundamental frequency, which is also known as the"heartbeat of the
world", is called the Schumann Resonance. It was predicted
mathematically by the German physicist Winfried R. Schuman in 1952.
The Schumann Resonance is very important because it encloses the Earth
and thus keeps nature and all living forms under its effect. It is
constantly measured by the world's prominent physics research centers.
During measurements made in the 1950s, the Schumann Resonance was
measured at 7.8 Hertz. This value was thought to remain constant.
Indeed the global military communication system was established over
this frequency. However, in the1980s, a sudden change inthis state
caused great shock for the scientific community, because in 1980, it
was seen that the Schumann Resonance was measuring above 11 Hertz.
Recent reports have revealed that this rate increases even further.
Thechange in the Schumann Resonance frequency indicates the speeding
up of time. Accordingly, 24-hours of time is experienced in 16 hours
orless. That is, the time perceived is shortened. Science is unable to
tell why this rate has increased, or the factor that caused this
increase. With the shortening of time, a portent of the End Times that
our Prophet (saas) foretold 1,400 yearsago, is thus scientifically
proven in our day.
The Earth is getting prepared for the Day of Judgment and by Allah's
leave, its portents are taking place one after another.
SUBTITLES:
ADNAN OKTAR: "In the EndTimes, at the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as), days,
weeks will shorten" says our Prophet (saas). Let everyone ask one
another.Compared to the past, have days, weeks, months shortened or
not? Anyone,if any, who says 'No' can write to me. Everyone
unanimously says, "In the past, days were longer; weused to do many
works during the day. Time has shortened." This is clear. This is a
portent of the EndTimes. This is a portent of Hazrat Mahdi (as). It is
a miracle our Prophet (saas) told. (Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's
Live Interview dated August 18, 2010 Samsun AKS TV and Kayseri TV)
ADNAN OKTAR: Everyone says this. The weekend comes in no time. Did the
weekend come so quickly in the past? The days werenot passing. [Now]
the dayends in a moment. One sleeps for a while, for some seven or
eight hours, then he wakes up, has his breakfast and the evening comes
and the day ends. One goes to work and in no time comes back home and
goes to sleep. He has no time to breathe. One is amazed at [how the
time passes so quickly]. That the Day of Judgment is close strengthens
our bonds of brotherhood even more. The closeness of the Day of
Judgment is a factor that encourages love.

Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

The shortening of time is a portent of Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) appearance
In a season of consumerist madness, let’s be grateful, and give
Look at what society has done to itself in the name of consumerism. A
day of thanks (Thanksgiving) has become the prelude to "Black Friday",
the biggest shopping day of the year. Itused to be that Black Friday
did not begin until Friday morning, out of respect for Thanksgiving.
Then the starting gun was moved to midnight, and now it has crept into
Thursday evening. Nothing is sacred.
The Prophet 'Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus the son of Mary), peace be upon
him, has been turned into a marketing strategy. His purported birthday
has become a month of shopping insanity, presidedover by a mythical
sub-deity named Santa. People go into debt, they fight over sale
goods… no mention is made of faith.
We Muslims fall prey to thesame consumerist lifestyle. Sometimes the
holy monthof Ramadan becomes a month of shopping, sleeping and binge
eating, astaghfirullah.
Let us – Christians, Muslims,Jews and all people of God – not follow
this path. Let'shew to a way of sacrifice, zakat (purification),
sadaqah (charity), zuhd (giving up material luxury). We don't have to
be monks, but we must focus on the things that matter: faith and
family.
There are movements that advocate a simple living, back-to-nature,
low-impactlifestyle. In Islam this is called zuhd , which could be
translated as detachment or asceticism. Zuhd is a choice that a person
makes to give up the hunger for material possessions and transgressive
carnal experiences, and live a simple lifestyle dedicated to God.
That's what we need.
The faith in our hearts is more important than the brand name of the
clothes we wear. Where our feet carry us – to someplace good or bad –
is more important than the cost of our shoes. The sincerity in our
hearts is more important than any gift. May Allah help us to see what
is important in life.
The Enjoyment of Delusion
There's a powerful verse from the Bible, Proverbs 30:8-9:
Give me neither poverty nor riches,
grant me only my share of bread to eat,
for fear that surrounded byplenty, I should fall away
and say, "Yahweh – who is Yahweh?"
or else in destitution, take to stealing
and profane the name of my God.
(Yahweh is an ancient Hebrew name for God).
If you visit the shopping malls at Christmastime, andread the news
stories of people lining up from the night before and huddling in
sleeping bags in order tobuy the latest gadgets, then trampling each
other in the rush; if you turn on the TV to the usual Christmas
comedies and "Frosty the Snowman" cartoons, you see that God has been
forgotten, and has even become taboo. It's not politically correct
tospeak of God. Just watch what we broadcast, be hypnotized by our
Christmas elevator music, buy and forget…
Allah says about this:
"Know that the life of thisworld is but amusement and diversion and
adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of
wealth and children – like the example of a rainwhose [resulting]
plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned
yellow; then it becomes debris. And in the Hereafter is severe
punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the
worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion." – Quran, Surat
Al-Hadeed, 57:20
This theme is struck repeatedly in the Quran. The amusement and
adornment of the dunya is an illusion that dries up and crumbles like
a corn stalk, and becomes dust. It is empty, the enjoyment of delusion
. Wow. That phrase, "enjoyment of delusion", makes me think of a
madman alone in a room, tied in a straight jacket, engaged in a
pleasant delusion playing only in his mind.
I know people who have a bedroom devoted to all thejunk that they have
boughtbut do not use. They never enter that room and the door is kept
locked. Isn't that a kind of mental illness?
Gratitude
How do we resist the onslaught of the season? How do we remember Allah?
The greatest tool in our toolbox is gratitude. By looking at what
we've been blessed with, our hearts become content. Socrates commented
that contentment is natural wealth, while luxury is artificial
poverty. Contentment does not mean complacency or passivity; it refers
to a stateof awareness of our blessings, and gratitude forthe smallest
to the greatestprovisions – the tiniest cellsin our bodies, to the
grand earth itself.
Let's become aware of what we have: the food onour plates, our ability
to see and hear, the love and health of our families, sanity,
intelligence, knowledge… these things are huge. When we open our eyes
and start to see, then we become content and happy, and we see how
meaningless are things are like big-screen TVs, the latest smartphone,
or another new dress.

Try to count Allah’s blessings in your life
Today, try to count Allah's blessings in your life.
Start with your breath, your beating heart, your ability to see, smell
and touch, and the ability to laugh…
Continue to your favorite foods, the roof over your head, and the
people who love you…
From there move out to the blue sky, the beauty of a single tree, the
sunshine on your face, and the majesty of a rising moon…
Keep counting…
Don't forget your imaan (your faith) and your knowledge of Allah. That
is the greatest blessing of Allah and the truth is that you did
nothing to earn it; rather it was a gift from Allah's infinite mercy.
Also do not forget your safety. So many people in this world live in
unsafe conditions; in war, poverty, starvation, refugee camps,
political imprisonment, andother forms of extreme hardship. Just to
wake up in your bed in the morning and know that your life is not in
immediate danger isa great blessing.
Keep counting…
Allah says:
"[...] and if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not
enumeratethem," (14:34).

NEWS - ~ Houla: How a massacre unfolded
At least 108 people were killed in Taldou, the majority of them women
and children
Syria Crisis
Press split on mass killing
'They had no mercy'
Course change unlikely
Al-Qaeda foothold?
The village of Taldou, near the town of Houla inSyria's Homs province
was the scene of one of the worst massacres in the country's
14-month-long uprising on Friday.
United Nations observers on the ground have confirmed that at least
108people were killed, including 49 children and 34 women. Some were
killed by shell fire, others appear to have been shot or stabbed at
close range.
But at whose hands they died remains a matter of contention.
Anti-government activists and eyewitnesses interviewed by a limited
number of journalists and human rights groups at thescene point the
finger at the Syrian army and the shabiha , a sectarian
civilianmilitia that supports the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The government however denies all responsibility, saying its soldiers
were attacked and armed terrorists went on to shoot and stab
civilians.
The United Nations has condemned the"indiscriminate and
disproportionate use of force", but Maj Gen Robert Mood, the head of
the UN Supervision Mission in Syria(UNSMIS), said "the circumstances
that led to these tragic killings are stillunclear".
I was in a room by myselfwhen I heard the sound of a man. He was
shouting and yelling at my family. I looked outside the room and saw
all of my family members shot"
Survivor of the Houla massacre
He told a closed session of the UN Security Council that there is
evidence of tank shelling, artillery fire and "physical abuse". He
confirmed that the deaths were from shell shrapnel and gunfire at
"point-blank" range, but did not say who the mission thought was
responsible for the close-range killing.
Protest attacked
The picture being pieced together by activists, survivors and the
limited number of international journalists and human rights
organisations in Syria is of an attack that began with the army
shelling the town and ended with militiamen killing people
house-by-house late into the night.
Reports suggest that at about 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT) on Friday,
just after midday prayers, soldiers fired on a protest in Taldou in
the Houla area to disperse the crowds.
Some accounts say that opposition fighters then attacked the Syrian
army position where the firing was coming from.
According to Syria's foreignministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi,
"hundreds of gunmen" armed with machine guns, mortars andanti-tank
missiles attacked soldiers, killing three.
Activists and eyewitnesses say the Syrian army shelledthe town,
reportedly at first with tank fire then with mortars, in a sustained
bombardment that lasted at least two hours.
This tallies with UN accounts of tank and mortar shells in civilian
areas. The UN Security Council issued a statement saying that "such
outrageous use of force against civilian population constitutes a
violation of applicable international law".
Mr Makdissi said that the army did not send tanks into the village and
security forces remained in their defensive positions.
House-to-house attacks
Any civilian deaths, he said, were the result of "armed terrorist
gangs" going house to house and killing men, women and children.
But according to activists and eyewitnesses interviewed by Human
Rights Watch, British broadcaster Channel 4 and others, army shelling
paved the way for a concerted ground attack bythe Alawite-dominated
pro-government militia, the shabiha.
Taldou, Houla region
The region of Houla, in thewest of Syria, comprises several villages
and small towns
The village of Taldou lies around 2km south-west of the main town,
also called Houla
The area is in the provinceof Homs, which has seen heavy fighting in
recent months
Houla's villages are predominantly Sunni Muslim, but the region is
ringed by a number of Alawite villages - the sect of the Syrian
president Bashar al-Assad
Their reports suggest that men from the shabiha entered people's
houses in army fatigues and either cut their throats or shot them in
the head from approximately 16:00 to 01:00 on Saturday morning.
One opposition activist from the area, Hamza Omar, told the BBC: "The
shabiha militias attacked the houses. They had no mercy. We took
pictures of children, under 10 years [old] their hands tied, and shot
at close range."
If that is the case, it is possible the killers were drawn from a
string of largely Alawite villages to the south of Houla region.
Fearing reprisals, some residents there have apparently been donating
blood to help the approximately 300 injured.

HEALTH - ~ Morphine and pain control
Daniel Hopkins was told six weeks ago that he has advanced lung cancer.
The 85-year-old from Leeds knows his time left islimited, but he has
also hadto cope with terrible pain from the cancer, which hadspread to
his spine.
Treatment with morphine has changed that. He is delighted with his
care at St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds, and hoping to go home soon.
I didn't realise it was possible that medicines existed which could
relieve that level of pain. They have turned my life around."
Anne Jarvis
Patient
He told me: "On a scale of one to ten, the pain was offthe top - it
was excruciating. Now, I don't have any pain at all. It's marvellous."
Those views are echoed by another patient with advanced cancer at St
Gemma's, who is also planning to return home this week.
Anne Jarvis has head and neck cancer and has had her voice-box
removed. She is treated with a slow-release opioid patch.
"My pain was totally debilitating and it made it impossible to think
straight. I didn't realise it was possible that medicines existed
which could relieve that level of pain. They have turned my life
around."
Both are cancer patients but opioids are equally needed to help
patients with a range of other debilitating conditions suchas heart
failure, kidney andrespiratory illness and neurodegenerative
disorders.
New guidance for England and Wales from the health watchdog NICE makes
it clear that pain is being hugely under-treated. It wants doctors to
prescribe opioids, like morphine, more often. The guidance says that
these powerful medicines are often the only means of controlling pain.
I have written more about the guidelines here.
Mike Bennett, St Gemma's professor of palliative medicine at the
University of Leeds, said both doctors and patients needed reassurance
about opioids. He said: "Many doctors share concerns that patients
will become addicted, which is rare."
Natalie Laine says despite great nursing care her husband's death was
not peaceful
The University of Leeds andSt Gemma's Hospice have begun a support
programme for patients starting opioid treatment, which will monitor
and manage symptoms.
Reading the guidance and research in the British Medical Journal, I
was amazed at the apparent scale of under-treatment.
It would appear nearly halfof all patients with advanced cancer do not
have adequate pain controlin addition to others with chronic
debilitating conditions.
He was begging me for help but there was nothing I could do. Stronger
opioids would have made a big difference and dealt as much with his
anxiety as his pain"
Natalie Laine
Wife of patient
Natalie Laine's husband Mark died from motor neurone disease three
years ago at the age of just32.
He had been on opioids for several months. She says he was very
worried about becoming addicted as he knew he would need higher doses
as his disease progressed.
Despite excellent nursing care, Mrs Laine says her husband had a
terrible end."He wanted to be out of it at the end and was extremely
anxious. He was begging me for help but there was nothing I could do.
Stronger opioids wouldhave made a big differenceand dealt as much with
his anxiety as his pain."
The NICE guidance is not specifically about end-of-life care but
rather patientsliving day-to-day with chronic pain. Nonetheless itwill
be another factor which will inform the debate about care for the
dying.
My television report on thisissue is here - just click on the picture
below. My thanks to all those patientsand medical staff who gaveup
their time to enable me to report on this importantissue.

Many patients with advanced cancer and other debilitating conditions
are being "under-treated" for their pain/

HEALTH - ~ NEWS - ~ Seaweed chemical can help treat arthritis, say scientists
Seaweed chemical can help treat arthritis, say scientists
A chemical produced by"nuisance" seaweed which has been destroying
coral reefs in Hawaii could be used to develop drugs to treat
arthritis, scientists say.
Researchers from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in US found
the seaweed is packed with tiny photosynthetic organisms called
"cyanobacterium" which produce compounds that have shown promise in
combating bacterial infections.
It could also be used in future medicines to treat other chronic
diseases fromarthritis to cancer to heart trouble, the researchers
said.
The researchers, who first found the organism in 2008 off the Kona
coast of Hawaii, took samples in 2009 as they were overgrowing and
smothering the corals underneath by releasing a chemical that was
causing the corals to bleach.
Tests on the chemical revealed some surprising results - the seaweed
was generating natural products called honaucins, which had potent
anti-inflammation and bacteria-controlling properties, the Daily Mail
reported.
"In different arenas these compounds could be helpful, such as
treating chronic inflammatory conditions for which we currently don't
have really good medicines. Even nuisance pests, as it turns out, are
not just pests," said Prof William Gerwick, who led the research.
"These organisms have been on the planet for millions of years and so
it is not surprising that they have evolved numerous strategies for
competing with neighboring species, including chemical warfare," added
co-author Jennifer Smith.
"Several species of cyanobacteria and algae are known to produce novel
compounds, many that have promising use in drug development for human
and other uses."
About 350 million people worldwide have arthritis that causes pain and
inflammation within a joint. Currently, there is no cure for it though
painkillers and non-steroidal drugs are often prescribed to help treat
the symptoms.
"It's a long road to go fromthis early-stage discovery to application
in the clinic but it's the only road if we want new and more
efficacious medicines," ProfGerwick said.

HEALTH - ~ The protein that reveals the heart’s ability to repair itself: Thymosin Beta-4
Beyond all the miraculous systems in the body, the heart by itself is
one of the finest examples of flawless creation. No similar artificial
mechanism that"can keep someone alive" has thus far been built,
despite all the recent scientific advances. With the cells that
comprise it, its special valve systems and the manner in which the
opening and closing of these valves isregulated, the heart is an organ
with exceptionally complex and special systems. No other organ can do
anything like the work it performs.
· What happens in the event of an impairment in the functioning of thisorgan?
· How can the heart repair itself following a heart attack?
· What role does the thymosin beta-4 (TB4) molecule play in the
heart's self-repair?
Although it is only 22 dayssince its creation, a small collection of
cells on the left side of the fetus begins to move. This collection of
cells will never stop now, not for a very long time. It will never
tire. It will beat approximately 70 times per minute, some 35 million
times per year, andaround two trillion times over the course of an
average life span. It will pump some 227 million liters of blood over
the course of a lifetime. It will tirelessly feed all the organs of
the body through the network of blood vessels . The heart functions
perfectly in every body because Allah so chooses, and everything it
does is underour Lord's control at every moment. Allah exhibits
Hisartistry of detail in the human body and reveals this in a verse:
" Allah brought you out of your mothers' wombs knowing nothing at all,
and gave you hearing, sight and hearts so that perhaps you would show
thanks." (Surat an-Nahl, 78)
This organ, the foundationof life, also uses blood to nourish itself.
However, in order to remind people of their weakness, our Lord may
sometimes cause the vessels that feed the heartto narrow, using such
natural causes as cholesterol (blood fats), other fats, calcium and
combinations of other substances. This then leadsto impaired
circulation in the blood vessels (coronary arteries) that supply the
heart, finally resulting in a heart defect. When the narrowing of the
vessels turns into complete blockage over the course of time, the
result is severe chest pain and a heart attack. This generally proves
fatal, though some victims do survive. But their hearts still suffer
damage from the attack.
Recent studies have once again shown Almighty Allah's love for and
mercy on His servants. Because a protein that the heart produces
during the developmental stage in children enables the damaged heart
to be repaired and increases the vessels supplying it.
The Healing Power of the Heart: Thymosin Beta-4
During a heart attack, heart cells die when the flow of blood to the
heart is suddenly cut off, resulting in irreparable damage. This
damage persists in the form of a decreased quality of life in the
patient's later life.
Until recently it used to bethought that, unlike other organs, the
heart had no ability to repair itself. Today, however, we knowthat
this damage can be put right by the body. The protein thymosin beta-4
(TB4), which plays a key role in the development ofthe heart in
children, activates stem cells that are lie dormant in the adult
heart. These tiny proteins, known as thymosin, which comes in two
forms in living tissue, α 1 and β 4, possess the ability to reprogram
cells in the body. The protein is today administered in the form of a
drug, and sends the stem cells a code regarding the repair of
theheart. The heart thus healsitself without the need for other
treatment. Administered in pharmaceutical form, this protein improves
heart performance by up to 25%by causing stem cells to turn into heart
and artery cells. It repairs the damaged heart cells, increases the
arteries supplying the heart and permits the muscles to repair
themselves.
Allah, the Creator of All, Is Most Great
Events in our body that we are unaware of, and whose existence we have
usually never even heard of, take place inside us with the greatest
regularity. Our heartbeat, essential for our survival, is not
something we initiate or maintain of our own will. Our heart is one of
the organs miraculouslycreated by our Lord. This organ begins beating
as a collection of cells when a person is still in his mother's womb,
and continues to flawlessly discharge its duties until the end of that
person's life.
Research in recent years has revealed that in the event of a defect
arising inthis immaculately functioning organ, various proteins go
into action to repair it.

STORY - ~ The Power of Persistence
Here's a true story about the power of persistence:
Once, many years ago, I arrived in San Francisco on a warm July day
with no friends, no contacts and only a little money in my pocket. I
needed work. What I did have was confidence. I had been through some
very hard times, and had learned to fight for what I wanted, and not
to accept "no" for an answer.
I met a fellow who was a courier and he suggested that I try it. He
gave me thenames of some courier companies. I visited severaland
filled out applications, but there was one company in particular that
I liked. It seemed well outfitted and professionally run. I spoke to
the human resources manager and he told me that they did not need
anyone but that I should check back in several months. "Summertime is
slow here," he said. "Try us in fall."
I came back early the next morning. I couldn't wait until autumn, and
I wasn't interested in sitting aroundand hoping for someone tolook at
my application and call me. I knew they had stacks of applications in
filing drawers. I had decided where I wanted to work, and all that
remained was for them to accept my reality.
The HR manager said, "Weren't you here yesterday and I told you we
don't need anyone?" I said yes, but I thought maybe someone might
callin sick and they could use me just for the day. The HR manager
gave me an appraising look and said, "No, nothing like that. Whydon't
you come back in a month?"
I came back the next day. This time the HR man smiled and said, "I'll
tell you what, come back in one week."
I came back the next day. Itwas a Thursday. The HR man rolled his eyes
in exasperation and said, "Listen. Come back on Monday and I'll see
what I can do."
I came back the next day, Friday. He gave me a job starting that day.
I worked for that company for five years and got promoted twice.
That's a true story.
I know it's harder nowadays with the economy in shambles. I'm not
guaranteeing that you can get a job by following these tips. But it
will certainly help your chances,Insha'Allah. And if you take that
same persistence and apply it to every endeavor in your life, I
believe you will find that even mountains will crumble before you.
And Allah knows best.
I'm really not a fan of Madison Avenue's ubiquitous ad messages, but
there was a Nike ad that I saw once that really resonated for me. In
fact I tore it out of the magazine and pasted it up on the wall, right
beside my bed. It said:
All your life you are told the things you cannot do.All your life they
will say you're not good enough or strong enough or talented enough;
they will say you're the wrongheight or the wrong weight or the wrong
typeto play this or be this or achieve this. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a
thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your
life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly.
AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES.
May Allah help all of you and provide for you and your families.
(O Allah), Guide us to the straight path; The path ofthose whom you
have favored; Not those with whom you are angry; Northose who go
astray.

What’s Your Legacy?
"Who are you? What makes you special? What isthe legacy that you've
builtand shared with others (self, family, community and the world)?
If we died today, what would our obituaries say? What have we done for
GOD and GOD'speople lately? What is our mission and vision, and arewe
living it? If we died today, what would our obituaries say?" – Hanan
K. Bilal
This is what it's all about. I heard someone say recently that only
two things can happen with thewealth you accumulate in this life:
either it leaves you, or you leave it. Wealthis not a legacy. Having
fun is not a legacy. Helping a company to sell useless products is not
a legacy.
Making a difference in the lives of human beings, relieving the
suffering of even one person, raising righteous and happy children,
leaving behind knowledge that benefits people, making the world
abetter place, those are legacies.
I have not met the sister who is quoted at the top, but I have read
some of her writings. Whenever I hear her name I think of being
responsible, taking care of my family, loving my children and bringing
them up right, making a difference in the community, following my
dreams… that is a legacy. She has already created a vital legacy.
I have another friend whose name is Ismail. He isso humble
ma-sha-Allah, and as a friend he is the most discreet and
closed-mouthed person I know, by which I mean he never speaks badly
about anyoneelse, and never reveals anyone's secrets or violatestheir
trust. When I think of him, I am inspired to emulate him. That is his
legacy, and it's an important and valuable one.
More than twenty years ago I knew a brother named Qawiy. His life was
hard, but every time I met him he'd give me a big smile and an
enthusiastic handshake. He wore a kufi and carried a folded musalla
(prayer rug) on his shoulder, so he could pray whenever salat time
arrived, no matter where he was. Kind of quirky, but also inspiring.
All these years later, just the thought of Qawiy brings a smile to my
face, and reminds me of the importance of doing salat on time. That's
a legacy! SubhanAllah.
I could name many more people who have affected me in positive and
critical ways. I will always remember them, even afterthey are gone,
Insha'Allah. They have created lasting legacies.
Of course we don't even have to speak of the Prophets (peace be upon
them), and the Messenger of Allah (sws), and the Sahabah (may Allah be
pleased with them). Their legacies shine like the moon and stars and
will illuminate human history for all time.
What's your legacy? What do people say about you, and what will they

Allah Does Not Make “Throw-Away” People
Have you ever felt "thrownaway"? Cast aside like trashthat is no
longer valued or wanted?
It's not a good feeling, is it?
Sometimes we feel this way when we've been rejected by someone we
love; or when we are relentlessly criticised by a spouse, parents,
family or friends. We can also feel this way when it seems like we're
not living up to society's expectations.
Feeling this way makes you doubt yourself, makes you wonder if you are
a worthwhile human being, if you have anything meaningful to offer, if
you are someone worthy of love and praise.
When you feel this way, you might begin to act thisway. You stop
valuing yourself, and you start behaving as if you are worthless,
ugly, invisible, unredeemable. You do things that you know are bad for
you, either becauseyou no longer care, or you think no one else cares.
Or maybe just to fulfill the negative labels that others have put on
you.
I want to tell you something very important: Allah does not make
"throw away" people. He does not create waste.
We humans do that. Increasingly in this modernsociety, we manufacture
cheap items that are meantto be used once then thrown away. Disposable
razors, diapers, soda bottles, packaging… hospital visitors are given
disposable gowns and gloves… Our oceans are filling up with garbage.
There is a floating plastic garbage patch in the Pacificthat is the
size of Texas. It is known as the Pacific Gyreand contains 3.5 million
tons of trash.
We human beings do that. We create such waste.
Allah does not do that.
Look around at what Allah has created: the oceans, mountains, clouds
and majestic trees; birds and animals from the eagle to the elephant;
the stars, sunand moon; the four seasons, each with a special beauty;
and a treasure-trove of amazing, healthy foods like olives, mangoes,
almonds, oranges…
Allah says in the Quran, Surat Aal-Imran, 3:190-191:
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the
alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of
understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or on
their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the
earth, [saying], "Our Lord,You did not create this in vain ; exalted
are You [above such a thing]…"
Allah created nothing in vain. Nothing that He madeis disposable or
worthless. Every one of His creations is precious and has a profound
purpose, from the smallest bacterium to the greatest nebula.
Everything is beautiful. Including you.
Allah did not create you to be thrown away. You are not disposable.
Whether ornot you are ready to admit it, you have a profound purpose
in this life. You arepriceless, beautiful, unique, redeemable, and
worthy oflove. Because Allah made you that way.
We must begin valuing ourselves according to howAllah has valued us.
Those people who would devalueus, they are not walking in our shoes,
living our reality. They're not responsible for our souls, and we are
not responsiblefor theirs:
"No bearer of a burden can bear the burden of another." (Quran 6:164; 17:15)
If others are not responsible for us, and cannot bear our burdens,
then they have no right to value or devalue us. Allah has given us
honor, therefore our honor is withAllah, not with the people. Allah
has given us purpose, therefore our purpose is with Allah, not with the
people.
Every person has a dignity and value that has been granted by Allah.
It is inherent in our makeup and cannot be taken away by anyone. Every
person is a gift. Every person is a miracle. Including you.

HEALTH - ~ A protein that prevents tumors in mother’s milk: The HAMLET Protein
How does the HAMLET protein, which was lately discovered in mother's
milk, prevent the formation of tumors?
· What are the characteristics of mother's milk that change according
to the baby's need?
Proteins are basic bioactive molecules and they are required for the
cell to carry out its functions. Some proteins act individually or
together with other proteins. However, some of them need the help of
chemical compounds that are not proteins. These non-protein molecules
canbe vitamins, minerals or metal ions. Vitamins or inorganic
substances are auxiliary proteins and theyare generally named as
co-factors. Iron, magnesium, cobalt, copper, zinc, selenium are common
ions and auxiliary inorganic substances. These proteinsdo quite
amazing things when they get connected to their helpers. One of
themost interesting of these takes place in mother's milk.
Allah Creates the Protein Called HAMLET in Mother's Milk As a Result
of Miraculous Processes
Mother's milk is a matchless compound created by Allah in order to
meet the nutrition needs of the baby in full and to protect the baby
against possible infections. The balance of the nutrients in mother's
milk is in the most ideal measures, and in the best form for the body
systemsof the immature baby. Mother's milk, which is called "the
miracle mixture" by scientists as the nutritional values of this milk
are at ideal measures, is very rich in nutrients that make brain cells
grow and accelerate the development of the nervous system. Even a baby
formula prepared with the latest technologycannot replace this
miraclefood. New benefits of mother's milk are found every day as a
result of research.
As is known, mother's milk includes many enzymes, vitamins,
nucleotides and antibodies. However, scientists have discovered a new
protein in mother's milk lately.
This protein, which is the main protein in mother's milk and known as
"alpha-lactalbumin", gives mother's milk a superior quality with
respect to cow's milk. This is because the protein called
beta-lactalbumin in cow's milk is rejected by the baby's body.
A protein called alpha-lactalbumin is produced atthe last stages of
pregnancy and nursing time. This protein helps the sugar called
lactose inside the milk to be synthesized and makes the baby sleep
easily and decreases the baby's tension. At the same time, when this
protein enters the baby's stomach, it combines with an auxiliary
protein called oleic acid. Oleic acid is a well-known fatty acid
alsocalled OMEGA 9 (a basic component of olive oil). It decreases
blood pressure and prevents deadly diseases that affect the brain.
However, when alpha-lactalbumin and oleic acid are combined, a miracle
happens and they produce an alpha-lactalbumin protein called "HAMLET"
(short for H uman A lpha-lactalbumin M ade LE thal to T umor cells)
that is deadly to tumor cells in man.
HAMLET Destroys A Great Number of Tumor Cells
As a result of the studies conducted, it was proved that mother's
milk, about which hundreds of articles were published, protected
babies against cancer but its mechanism has not yet been understood
completely. This complex protein, which is producedonly in the baby's
stomach, kills 40 different types of tumor cells. This protein attacks
the cell wall, enters inside and begins to change their shape within
half an hour after it combines with tumor cells and kills them in six
hours on average. However, the interesting thing about this protein is
that it can distinguish healthy cells from tumor. Scientists have not
yet understood how this protein recognizes tumor cells. It is of
course impossible that cells with no mind or consciousness can
distinguish between healthy cells and tumor cells. These cells can
distinguish between healthy and dangerous cells only by Allah's
inspiration. In the Qur'an, Allah's sovereignty over allliving things
is revealed assuch:
" I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no
creature He does not hold by the forelock. My Lord is on a Straight
Path. " (Surah Hud, 56)
The interesting point is that the alpha-lactalbuminand oleic acid that
form this protein do not have the ability to destroy tumors on their
own. Alpha-lactalbumin and fatty acids exist naturally in mother's
milk. But they need to turn into a compound in the baby's stomach to
become the HAMLET protein that destroys the tumor. It is ofcourse a
great miracle thatAllah creates the cure before the disease, and
places all these molecules inside the milk that the baby will drink.
When the protein in mother's milk, fatty acids and enzymes in the
baby'sstomach are not created atthe same time, their ability to
destroy tumors disappears

Some of the promises of Allah to the Jews in the Torah
The words of the Torah stating that Allah would only realize His
Promise to the Jews on the condition that they love Him and obey Him
And when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey
Him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything
I command youtoday then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes
and have compassion on you and gather you again fromall the nations
where He scattered you. Even if you have been banished to themost
distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will
gather you and bring you back. He will bring you to the land that
belonged to your fathers ... He will make you more prosperous and
numerous than your fathers… Then the LORD your God will make you most
prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your
womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The LORD
will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he
delighted in your fathers, ifyou obey the LORD your God and keep his
commands and decrees ... and turn to the LORD your God with all your
heart and with all your soul .(Deuteronomy, 30:2-10)
Some of the blessings promised to Jews when they comply with the
commands of Allah
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His
commands I give you today... all these blessings will come upon you
and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: "You will be blessed
in the city and blessed in the country... The fruit of your womb will
be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your
livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your
basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed
when you come inand blessed when you go out... The Lord will send a
blessing on your barns and on everything you putyour hand to. The Lord
your God will bless you in the land he is giving you... if you keep
the commandsof the Lord your God and walk in His ways ... The Lord
will open the heavens, the storehouse ofhis bounty, to send rain
onyour land in season and tobless all the work of your hands... If you
pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you
this day and carefully follow them ...(Deuteronomy, 28:1-14)
Some of the threats of Allah upon Jews when they do not live with the
fear of Allah, with the love for Allah, when theydo not comply with
the commands of faith.
However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully
follow all His commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these
curses will come upon you and overtake you : You will be cursed in the
city and cursed in the country... TheLord will send on you curses,
confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are
destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in
forsaking him... you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms
on earth… You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day
you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.. You will
build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard,
but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit… You will have nothing
but cruel oppression all your days… You will sow much seed inthe field
but you will harvest little… All these curses will come upon you…
because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands
and decrees hegave you … therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness
and dire poverty… If you… do not revere this glorious and awesome
name—the Lordyour God—the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and
your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and
lingering illnesses … You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky
will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the Lord your
God … Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end
of the earth to the other… Among those nations you will find no
repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord
will give you an anxious mind, eyesweary with longing, and a
despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with
dread both night and day, never sure of your life …(Deuteronomy,

The signal system that communicates diseases: The Sense of Pain
Pain is a vital part of the body's defense system. This sense points
that a condition has formed that may negatively affect the health of
the body , institutes precautions against this and helps decrease the
physical defects that may occur in the body. However, if a person is
feeling pain in any condition, a precaution to eliminate the pain is
taken and in this way the harm caused to the body is prevented. For
example, a person whose hand is burned with hot water prevents his
skin from being injured by pulling his hand away with the pain caused
by burning; in the case of the pain being continued he takes
protective precautions using medical methods. Or he can go to the
doctor due to pain andthe doctor may detect a disease that can cause
serious troubles before thedisease is fully developed.
Even though aches and the sense of pain are very disturbing feelings,
if Almighty Allah had not given us this sense, the body would not
react to situations like aches and pain and even greater health
problems could form. The fact, which reminds that this feeling isin
truth a great blessing, isa disease called "congenital analgesia "
defined as insensitivity to pain.
As Almighty Allah reveals in the verse "…It may be that you hate
something when it is good for you and it may be that you love
something when it is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know."
(Surat al-Baqara, 216), the sense of pain, which seems like a bad
thing andwhich most people find disturbing , is actually a great good
for people contrary to popular belief.
Lack of a Sense of Pain isa Serious Disease
The disease of insensitivityto pain called "congenital analgesia" is
the conditionof not feeling physical pain that comes from external
stimuli . These people do possess the senses of touch and sensation,
but the brain and nervous system distorts information flow in a way
as if filtered, and prevents the body from reacting to situations such
as temperature changes and injury. This situation isone of the best
examples that Almighty Allah creates every system in our body with
perfection.
A defect in the communication of the nervous system may causeserious
problems. However, as in this diseasea signal about pain is not
communicated to the brain, pain is not felt and in some cases, the
pain is felt, but the source of pain in the body cannot be detected.
There is no doubt that both situationscause a great risk for the
individual Bbecause it is asvital to detect the source of pain as it
is to feel the pain. For example, a person who is about to have a
stroke, and feels sudden pain in his body but does not know the source
of the pain, may befaced with a life-threatening situation, as medical
care cannot be provided.
How Does Congenital Analgesia Form?
This disease takes place as the result of a defect in the gene
called "SCN9A". Even the slightest defect inthis gene could render it
completely useless and prevent the signals transmitted to the brain
from being interpreted correctly. This is similar to pushing an
electric switch to light a lamp. If there is a defect in the switch
that activates the wires, which transfers electricity to the lamp, the
lamp will not beturned on. Thus, a defect in the gene called
"SCN9A"does not allow electrical signals transmitted from the outside
world about pain to be correctly interpreted . Of course,
thissituation is an important evidence that Almighty Allah, Who
creates everything with very sensitive balances, can destroy these
balances and that no one could re-establish these. Almighty Allah
reveals that He holds all things, small and large, in the world under
His Might in one verse of the Qur'an as follows:
"Allah keeps a firm hold on the heavens and earth, preventing them
from vanishing away. And if they vanished no one could then keep hold
of them. Certainly He is Most Forbearing, Ever-Forgiving." (Surah
Fatir, 41)
Why Is It Dangerous Not To Feel the Sense of Pain?
There are three types of pain, called skin-deep pain, deep pain (bone,
muscle, rib and knuckle pain) and visceral organ pain. Skin-deep pains
occur when there is pressure applied to the skin, or when one
confronts temperatures more than 45 degrees Celcius. If this feeling
did not exist, a person may lose a lot of blood when his skin is cut
as he did notfeel any pain. In the same way, if the sense of pain were
not formed when hisskin is burned, he would not apply any cure as he
continues with his daily tasks in spite of the burn on his skin. This
would cause the upper skin that protects us from microbes to become
more prone to infections and thus cause serious diseases.

Determined prayer is the key to destiny
There are various elements in life you come face to face with every
dayand that you imagine you know and understand very well; so much so
that you imagine it would be impossible to understand the majority of
them any better than you do already. But that is not always true.
Sometimes you may hear a different account or witness something that
leads to a brand new door, a new horizon you had never contemplated
before, opening up on a subject you thought you knew so well. Your
whole perspective changes, not only momentarily but fundamentally. You
acquire a new perspective on that long familiar subject, as if you
were encountering it for the first time.
One of these subjects about which one constantly acquires a new and
more profound conception during the various stages of one's life is
'prayer.' A believer knows that Allah will heedall prayers, and trusts
in that truth with all his heart. But the more a person's closeness to
Allah, depth of faith and understanding of destiny grow, the more his
perspective toward prayerdeepens and is perfected. Although he knows
the verses of the Qur'an very well, the spiritual power that Allah
instills in his heart through those verses constantly
increaseswhenever he reads them again. And for someone who is
determined in faith, this situation is repeated constantly until the
end of his life.
One piece of knowledge regarding prayer that will again be
instrumental in the opening of his heart when he hears it is that
prayer 'is the key to destiny.' This is part of thelaw of Allah. When
Muslims beseech Allah with love and passion, by His leave, what they
desirewill come about.
This is a secret mystery of Allah that very few peopleare aware of.
When one prays, Allah's destiny goes into motion. Mass prayer
especially has a particular power; when Muslims request something
determinedlyand en masse , and when they embrace natural causes, then
by Allah's leave, something that people thought would never happen
does in fact come to pass. Allah has created the world by that law.
Allah is He Who heeds every prayer
Allah has cited many examples in the Qur'an so that people can
understand this secret of destiny: the Prophet Jonah(pbuh) frequently
prayed to Allah from inside the stomach of the whale, andAllah rescued
him in an incomparable manner. When the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and his
people were trapped between Pharaoh's army and the sea, the Prophet
Moses (pbuh) prayed to Allah in full submission, and Allah created a
miraculous escape for him and his people. Rasulullah (saas) placed all
his trust in the infinite might of Allah when he and a friend were in
the cave, and Allahspared him from the traps of the unbelievers and
granted him victory. In thesame way, when the Prophet Joseph (pbuh)
was thrown down the well, Allah in His infinite mercy sent him help.
Allahagain manifested His infinite mercy when the Prophet Abraham
(pbuh) was about to be cast into the flames, and made them cool for
him. The Prophet Zechariah (pbuh) prayed to Allah, and despite their
advanced age, he and his wife were blessed by Allah with the birth of
the Prophet John (pbuh).
Some of the verses of the Qur'an that reveal how Allah heeds the
sincere calls of His prophets are asfollows:
Jonah too was one of the messengers. When heran away to the fully
laden shipand cast lots and lost. Then the fish devoured him and he
was to blame. Had it not been that he was a man who glorified Allah,
he would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are raised
again. So We cast him up onto the beach and he was sick; and We caused
a gourd tree to grow over him. We sent him to a hundred thousand or
even more. They believed and so We gave them enjoyment for a time.
(Surat as-Saffat, 139-148)
And when the two hosts came into sight of one another Moses'
companions said, "We will surely be overtaken!" He said, "Never! My
Lord is with me and He will guide me." So We revealed to Moses,
"Strike the sea with your staff." And it split in two, each part like
a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued
Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There
is certainly a sign in that yet most of them are not believers. (Surat
ash-Shu'ara', 61-67)
If you do not help him, Allah did help him when the unbelievers drove
him out and there were two of them in the Cave. He said to his
companion, "Do not be despondent, Allah is with us." Then Allah sent
down His serenity upon him and reinforced him with troops you could
not see. He made the word of the unbelievers undermost. It is the word
of Allah which is uppermost. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat
at-Tawba, 40)

dayand that you imagine you know and understand very well; so much so
that you imagine it would be impossible to understand the majority of
them any better than you do already.
When

Wisdoms in raindrops
Why does rain not fall in the form of a mass like a waterfall but
fall assingle drops?
· What is the shape and size of raindrops?
· Why does rain not heatup due to friction force and fall in the form
of boiling water?
Every year, approximately 45 million cubic meters of water vaporize
from the oceans. The vaporized water is turned into cloudsand moved to
the land viawinds. So every year between three and four cubic meters
of water moves from the oceans to the lands, meaning where we live.
Water, which people cannot control the circulation of and cannot live
without it, is sent specially. Also there are many wonders about the
formation of water and itsfall onto the ground. In the Qur'an, Allah
reveals the erudite characteristics of the rain, which is one ofthe
clearest signs that a person should be "thankful", as such:
" Have you thought about the water that youdrink? Is it you who sent
it down from the clouds or are We the Sender? If We wished We could
have made it bitter,so will you not give thanks? " (Surat al-Waqi'a ,
68-70)
It is Allah's Mercy That Rain Falls Drop by Drop From the Clouds
One of the wonders Allah created in rain is that rain does not fall
onto the ground in the form of a large water mass like waterfalls. If
rain fell on the ground in this form, it would not be possible for
people to continue their daily lives during rainy seasons and floods
would form during every rainfall. These floods would drag away
everything in front of them and cause serious damage, both material
and spiritual. However, due to the laws of physics created by our
Almighty Lord, it falls on the groundin drops and by decreasingits
speed turns into the precious water that is the source of life for
all beings.
The reason that rain falls in drops is that water droplets are formed
insideclouds. As is known, a cloud is formed by water vapor being
thickened with dust and electrically positive charged particles. The
diameter of these particles are generally between one and ten microns.
(1 micron = 0.001millimeters.) When clouds move upwards at a
certainspeed (1-10 meters/sec), they take water droplets with them
naturally. As the water droplets rise up,they get bigger as their
volume increases. Two or more droplets unite and form a rain drop. The
air can no longer carry these drops and the rain drops begin to fall
to the ground.
Since big drops fall faster than small drops until they reach a fixed
speed, big drops and small drops crash and unite. Drops, which get
bigger through crashing and uniting, encounter air resistance which
distorts the shape of the water drop, spreadsand turns into many small
droplets in a short time, something on the order of six hundreths of
a second. Since the speeds of drops of the same size are the same, and
they move in the same direction, they do not crash with one another.
Raindrops Slow Down When Falling On the Ground by Our Lord's Inspiration
One of the wonders our Almighty Lord created in raindrops is certainly
the falling speed of rain. Whenan object of the same size and weight
as a raindrop is left from a height of 1,200 meters, it would
getfaster gradually and fall onthe ground with a speed of almost 558
kilometers per hour. If the raindrop would fall from this heightin the
same way, this timeall crops would be destroyed, places of settlement,
houses and cars would be damaged and people would not be able to walk
without taking necessary precautions. However, such an incident never
occurs; no matter how high a distance raindrops fall from, when they
reach the ground their speeds are only eight to ten kilometers per
hour. The reason for this is that the raindrop has a shape that
increases the frictional force of the atmosphere and makes it fall
slower. If the raindrop had another shape, or if the atmosphere had no
friction force, it would be enough to take a look at these numbers to
see the disasters the world would face every time it rained.
The minimum height of rain clouds is 1,200 meters. The effect of a
single drop that falls from this height is equal to the fall of a one
kilogram weight from a height of 15 centimeters.
There are also rain cloudsup to 10,000 meters high. This time a single
drop would have the same effect of a one kilogram weight falling from
110 centimeters high and thus people would need to take shelter by
taking major precautions.
As it is seen, Allah defines the falling speed of rain and makes rain
beneficial for all beings:
" And We sent down blessed water from the sky and made gardens grow
by it and grain for harvesting " (Surah Qaf, 9)

Cats' eyes with sharpnight vision
How do cats sense the world?
· Why are their form of seeing and sensing the world different from
human beings?
The features of creation in cats' eyes are one of the evidences of the
perfection in Almighty Allah's creation. Our Lord created cats' eyes
with thecontrol and coordination features compatible with the needs of
these beings. In one verse, the perfection in Allah's creation is told
as such:
"He is Allah – the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him
belong the Most Beautiful Names.Everything in the heavens and earth
glorifies Him.He is the Almighty, the All-Wise."(Surat al-Hashr,24)
Cats' Night Vision Is Very Strong
Cats can easily distinguish colors like green, blue and red. However,
the actual superiority of their eyes is that they are created for
night vision. Cats' eyelids open up at nights; so in environments of
low light, the colored layer of the eye called the iris makes the pupil
larger (covering more than almost 90% of the eye) and allows more
light to come in. In environments with high levels of light, this
system works in the opposite wayto protect the retina, the pupil
narrows and turns into a thin line.
There is a layer that does not exist in humans. This layer just behind
the retiana reflects the light. Since the light that falls onthis
layer is reflected back, light passes two times through the retina.
Therefore, cats can easily see in low light, and even in dark
environments the human eye cannot see in. The reason that cats' eyes
shine under light in the dark is this layer. This layer is made up of
tapetum lucidum crystals that reflect light. Thanks to these crystals,
the light that falls on the back of the eye is reflected back tothe
retina. Some of the reflected light turns back from the lens, and
causes the eyes to shine at night. Thanks to this structure, the
amount of light the eye can see in the dark is increased, and more
precisely, available light is better used. Therefore, cats have
better vision in the dark. This is not a formof bio-luminescence,
because the light is not produced by the animal, but is a result of
light being reflected back.
Another reason that cats can see well in the dark is that there are
more rod cells than cone cells in their retinas. As it is known, rod
cells are sensitive to light only. They form a black or whiteimage
depending on the light that comes from objects, but they are sensitive
enough to work even with little light.
Thanks to these special rod cells, all cats can easilyhunt at night.
As it is seen, Allah created the most appropriate eye structure for
their living conditions and nutritional needs. Cats' eyes have
markedly different structures and characteristics in line with their
own needs. This is one of the unique examples of Allah's art of
creation. Our Lord's uniquescience of creation is revealed in one
verse as such:
" The Originator of the heavens and earth. When He decides on
something, He just says to it, 'Be!' and it is. (Suratal-Baqara, 117)
Cats' Visual Field Is Very Wide
In addition to cats' perfect vision at night, their visual field is
also much wider than that of humans. Whereas mans' visual field is
limited to 160 degrees, cats can easily see up to 187 degrees. With
these characteristics, they can easily detect threats. This
characteristic of the eye is another example of Allah's art and
manifestation on beings indifferent ways. As it is toldin the Qur'an,
these creation characteristics area form of example (lesson)for
believers:
"There is instruction for you in cattle... " (Surat an-Nahl, 66)
Cats' Eye Structure Is Different Than Men
In cats' eyes, there is a third eyelid called the " nictitating
membrane." This membrane is transparent, and moves from one side of
the eye to the other. As such, cats can blink their eyes without
completely closing them. This third eyelid prevents the cat's eye from
being harmed while hunting. Moreover, it ensures materials such as
dust and such keep away from the surface of the eye and that the eye
stays moist; this is becausecats do not constantly blink their eyes
like humans. If cats blinked their eyes all the time to keep their
eyes moist like humans, this would cause a great hardship for them
while hunting. Not blinking their eyes is a perfect advantage Allah
created for these beings.
Cats' Eyes Are Sensitive To Movements
Cats cannot see close-range as clearly as people do and cannot focus
on objects close to them. But our Lord granted sensory hairs with a
very strong sensory mechanism to these beings. Cats can easily detect
close-range thanks to their sense of smell and sensory hairs.

The Characteristics Of Creation In Frogs’ Jumping Movements
Frogs are perfect beings that can easily travel long distances by jumping
• How do frogs jump even though they have exercised for this?
• Why do they not get tired during these jumping movements?
Today athletes exercise and condition themselves for many years in
order to jump long distances and work out to prepare their muscles to
jump because jumping is a movement that puts a good of stress on all
muscles. Since it requires all the muscles of the body working
together, it causes a very serious amount of energy to be expended and
it is also very tiring. But this movement, which is very tiring for
man, is very ordinary and easy for a small frog. After a person jumps
for a number of times, he is out of breath, but the frog is not even
tired.
The Source of Frogs' Jumping Characteristic IsHidden In Their Creation
Some frogs can jump amazingly great distances. This jumping
characteristicof frogs has caught the attention of researchers from
the Brown University and they have examined the workings of frogs'
muscles with the help of X-ray technology by filming the jumping of
frogs.
Henry Astley of Brown University, who examines the bio-mechanics of
the jumping of frogs , points out the miraculous situation of a frog's
jump by saying "Muscles cannot produce such good jumps on their own."
As a result of detailed examinations , it was found that the
mechanical working of frog tendons function like water under
pressure. What is behind the jump is the characteristic of a
"stretched tendon." When getting ready to jump, tendons stretch and
kick back during the jump. Before the jump, leg muscles shorten, and
load energy on every tendon directs this energy loaded on it with
pressure and makes the frog jump. This pressure is so strong that it
can cause the frog to jump far away.
In order to form this pressure, one quarter of the frog's body weight
accumulates on its legs. In other words, when this stretching and
kicking back under pressure do not happen, frogs that dwell on tree
tops and leaves in water cannot maintain their lives.
Scientists who examined the frog's jump with threedimensional X-ray
technology realized that the jump is more complex than this.
When the frog prepares tojump, its calf muscles shorten. After
exactly 100 milliseconds, this muscle stops moving and energyis
loaded onto the stretched tendons. During the jump, the tendon wrapped
around the ankle-bone releases the energy with the speed of an arrow
being released from a bow. This resonance causes the ankle joint to
enlarge veryfast and throws the frog forward with pressure.
Frogs' Jumping Techniques Are A Work of Allah's Infinite Knowledge
The jumping characteristic and muscle structure of frogs is important
to understand that Darwinistopinions about reptiles learning to jump
and turning into frogs are wrong. This great fallacy isbecause the
jumping movement is seen by Darwinists as a very simple and learned
movement.
However, while a being can learn to jump as muchas it wants, it cannot
alter the structure of its musclesor the workings of its tendons. In
order to make an anatomical change in the body, all the genes and the
DNA of that being would have to be re-written. The cells can build
that tendon only if there is information on what the tendon will look
like and how it will work in its genes.
No being has the means orknowledge to alter its own genetic structures
and re-write its whole gene map.
Our Almighty Lord, Who is the Creator and Controller of all things in
the sky, on the ground and in between, controls all genes and cells.
Allah, Whocreates every single gene and inspires to every cell the
tendon it will build, provides the perfect qualities in living beings
as an evidence for His Name, "He Who Creates Flawlessly."
"He is Allah – the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him
belong the Most Beautiful Names.Everything in the heavens and earth
glorifies Him.He is the Almighty, the All-Wise." (Surat al-Hashr, 24)
Frogs have not acquired the ability to jump through their own efforts
or by coincidences, but were created with this ability right from the
beginning. No doubt, Almighty Allah, the Owner of all things, is the
One Who creates the frog. Allah controls the metabolism of frogs and
all other beings on earth at every moment. In one verse of the Quran
it is revealed as such:
"I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no
creature He does not hold by the forelock. My Lord is on a Straight
Path." (Surah Hud, 56)

exactly 100 milliseconds, this muscle stops moving and energyis
loaded onto the stretched tendons.

A Muslim is Passionately Devoted, Not to Possessions and Wealth, But to Allah
Why is the devotion to wealth and property of people who do not live
by the moral values of the Qur'an in fact great heedlessness that
believers scrupulously avoid?
How do believers use their wealth and possessions on Allah's path?
What secret does our Lord reveal in the Qur'an for believers who spend
all their wealth and assets on Allah's path?
People who do not live by the moral values of the Qur'an suffer
various pains; these people even make the desire to "possess wealth
and property" their greatest aim in life. Allah describes such people
as "trying to outdo one another in wealth" in the Qur'an (Surat
al-Hadid, 20). But this desire is literally a delusion because it is
AllahWho owns everything in the world. People deceive themselves when
they imagine they "own possessions." They did not personally create
the things they imagine they possess, and they have no power
whatsoever to maintain them. Neither can they prevent them ceasing to
exist. Moreover,there is no question of them "owning" anything;
because they themselves are under the control of Allah, "the king of
Mankind" (Surat an-Nas, 2). In the Qur'an it is revealed that all
objects and entities belong to Allah, our Creator:
"Everything in the heavens and everything on the earth and everything
in between them and everything under the ground belongs to Him."
(Surah Ta Ha, 6)
Believers, who have faith in Allah and attach no undue importance to
the transitory baubles of this world, who know that all things come
from Allah alone and who therefore spend what they have on His path,
may hope for Almighty Allah's mercy and paradise. Since they prefer
the life of the hereafter, which Allah sayswill last for all eternity,
over the life of this world, it is actually they who are the wealthy
ones.
Believers Fervently Spend Their Assets on Allah's Path
As revealed in the verse "[There are men who are] not distracted by
trade or commerce from the remembrance of Allah and the establishment
of prayer and the payment of alms; fearing a day when all hearts and
eyeswill be in turmoil –" (Surat an-Nur, 37) , one ofthe things that
people today most give themselves over to is making money and
possessing goods and property. Yet in that verse,Allah reveals that
believersmust be filled with passion for Him alone, andthat their
hearts can only be contented by repeatingHis name, and that they fear
losing His approval bybehaving in any other way. Believers have a
strong desire to give their possessions to others in need, for the
purpose of gaining the approval of Allah, to whom they are
sopassionately devoted. Another verse reveals howall wealth belongs to
Allahalone:
"Spend in the Way of Allah. Do not cast yourselves into destruction.
And do good: Allah loves good-doers." (Surat al-Baqara, 195)
Someone who thinks by the light of his own criteria thinks that he
will become wealthier by not sharing his possessions with anyone and
hiding and hoarding them, and that this is the only way he can
guarantee his own future. He believes that anything he gives away –
even if he has no need of it – will make him poorer, and that anything
he losesnow will endanger his future comfort. But things are not at
all as he imagines. Allah reveals in the Qur'an, as a miracle, that a
person who spends on His path and who givesalms will acquire greater
possessions and abundance.
But someone who analyzes events only by external criteria may easily
be deceived by this deception of satan's. For example, he may be
aboutto give his shirt to someone in need when satan whispers that if
he does so, he will have to gowithout it, that he may need it one day,
and that it would be better to hold onto it. And indeed, it would
appear on the surface that he would be deprived of a shirt, but if he
forgets that Allah bestows many times over on whom He wishes, on who
has much purity, thenhe has fallen into heedlessness. Indeed, Allah
tells us in one verse that:
"The metaphor of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah is
that of a grain which produces seven ears; in every ear there are a
hundred grains." (Surat al-Baqara, 261)
The example in the verse is a secret revealed by Almighty Allah to
believersin the Qur'an. For that reason, believers spend solely in
order to win Allah's good pleasure, mercy, paradise and abundance. So
long as they expend their goods and possessions on Allah's path and
are careful aboutwhat is lawful and unlawful, Almighty Allah will
increase their wealth, smooth their way and create many more
opportunities for them to spend on His path.

HADEES - ~
Rasuulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Whoever does not
argue when he is in the wrong will have a home built for him on the
edge of Paradise. Whoever avoids it when he in the right will have a
home built for him in the middle of Paradise. And whoever improves his
own character, a home willbe built for him in the highest part of
Paradise." [Tirmidhi]
Arguing with people is strongly discouraged in Islam. We are to state
our point of view and then leave it at that. Nor are we to involve
ourselves in matters that do not affect aperson's deen. Note that a
person is to shun argumentwhether he is in the right or whether his
stand is wrong. Both get houses built for them in Paradise. But since
the person who knows that he is right findsit more difficult to leave
the argument and let things be, he/she is promised a greater reward.
Arguing with people rarely gets anyone to change their minds. It
usually only produces defensiveness and creates ill feelings between
people. The issue becomes a matter of one's ego and makes it more
difficult for a person to change their stance. Allah (subhana wa
ta'ala) loves to have Muslims live harmoniously with each other. Try
this hadith out inpractice, and you will see that your relations
improvewith people and that you have greater peace of mind.

Islamic Meditation for Relaxation and Spiritual Comfort
This is a meditation that a Muslim can use to relax and recover from
stress. It is not a substitute for prayer and duaa, or a replacement
for dhikr (remembrance of Allah). Salat in particular is the first
duty and refuge of the Muslim. This is just a simplerelaxation
technique that one might use either alone or share with a spouse, to
relax the body and release some of the worries of the day. It also
functions as an affirmation, reminding the reader of the love and
peace that Allah offers us, and of each person's pure nature.
Settle yourself in a quiet place, in a comfortable position. Imagine
yourself to be in the most relaxing, secure, peaceful place you have
ever known. Breathe deeply in and out, breathing into your stomach.
Recite the following to yourself, with a quiet voice, very slowly, but
imagine it is being spoken to you by a voice outside yourself, by a
voiceof love. If you do this with your spouse, let one read and the
other close his/her eyes and listen:
***
Your breath is warm and soothing. As it spreads through your body it
makes you warm. It brings peace and tranquility to every cell in your
body.
Let every cell in your body know and feel that you are loved. Allah
lovesyou. Many people love you. You are surrounded by love and caring.
The love is all around you likewarm light, comforting you, taking away
all your pain.
The air that you are breathing in is warm and soothing. That warmth is
spreading all through your body. As it spreads throughyour body, it
causes your muscles to relax.
Now the warmth spreads to your head. Relax the topof your head. Relax
your mind. There is nothing to think about right now, nothing to worry
about. Release the burdens that you carry in your mind.
As you breathe deeply, the warmth spreads to your face. Let your face
relax. Relax your eyes. Whatever your eyes have seen that isunhappy or
that causes you pain, let it go. Release it with your breath.
Relax your cheeks and yourmouth. Whatever you havespoken that you
regret, let it go, release it with your breath. It's in the past and
is gone now with your breath.
Relax your ears. There is nothing for you to listen toright now except
the peacefulness of your own breath. Whatever you haveheard that has
hurt you, at any time in your life, let it go now. You don't need it
anymore. Release it with your breath.
Relax your jaw. Any tension that you are holding in your jaw, let it
go, release it. Feel the warmth spread through your mind, your face,
your neck. Relax your neck.
Know that you are safe. You are protected. You are in a place of
shelter. You are in Allah's care. You are in a safe place, a good
place. You have nothing to fear, nothing to regret. The past is gone,
and the future has not arrived. All that existsis this peaceful
moment, this safe place where youare protected and warm.
Continue to breathe deeplyand softly. Your breath warms you. The
warmth spreads now into your shoulders and relaxes your shoulders.
Whatever burden you have been carrying on your shoulders, let it go.
Give to Allah, and He will hold it for you until you are ready to take
it back. For now, let it go with your breath. Relax your shoulders.
Let go of your fear and your worry. You are following Allah's guidance
and that is peaceful. You are at harmony with the entire universe and
that is peaceful.
Breathe deeply and softly. The breath spreads now into your back and
warms your back. Relax your shoulder blades, and the middle of your
back. Relax your lower back. As you breathe out, release the burdens
that you have borne on your back. All the troubles, all the weight on
your back, release them with your breath, and let them disappear. You
don't need them anymore.
Allah is on your side and He will always be with you. You have the
strength of Imaan. Know that whatever challengesyou face in life, you
are strong and capable.
As you breathe, warmth continues to spread through your body, now
moving into your chest andyour stomach. Relax your chest. Whatever
fears you have for the future, let them go. Release them with your
breath. Trust in Allah; He is with you right now, at this moment, and
He will protect you. Relax your stomach. Whatever tightness you have
in your stomach, whatever tensionyou carry there, release it, let it
go with your breath.
Know that Allah created you pure, with the purity of fitrah. That
purity is always inside you, like a light. Allow yourself to feel it,
to be in touch with it; let that purity come out, and with it comes
peace.
