'When I looked into history I found a small number of individuals
whose lives mirrored the life cycle of a grain of wheat. They were
torn from their roots, then crushed, then ground in mills, then
kneaded with fists, then rolled out and baked in ovens at high
temperatures… just so they could provide food for others.'
Patiently persevere in the face of hardship hoping for a good outcome
because you never know how manydead hearts you will bring to life in
the process. No hardship lasts forever. There is always an end."

Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

We get very hard on ourselves sometimes. And while there is
benefit in taking ourselves to account, the sunshine comes from
never losing hope in Allah'smercy. Allah's mercy and
forgiveness is able to encompass whatever you have done. So
knock on that door right now.

HADEES:-> - A SIMPLE EXPLANATION OFAHAADEETHS:
The status of the Sunnah (This is the Guidance with which the Prophet
(S) came. It includes his sayings, actions or his attributes.) of the
Prophet Muhammad (S) as a divine source of Islamic law and guidance
has been accepted unanimously by the Muslims throughout the centuries.
However, during the last century, many non-Muslim Orientalists and
their followers have tried to castdoubts in the authority of the
Sunnah, and have created a suspicious attitude towards Ahaadeeth.
The Ahaadeeths of our Messenger (S) all of which have been
scrupulously studied and verified by specialists in the study of
Ahaadeeth. Because of this,it is appropriate to mention a few facts
about the authority and reliabilityof the Sunnah, so that any
skepticism and suspicions can be laid to rest.
As for the authority of the Sunnah, then it must be understood that
the role ofthe Prophet Muhammad (S)was not as a mere postman who,
after delivering his letter, has noconcern with it whatsoever. The
Messengerwas not sent just to deliverthe Book of Allah, but to expound
it and demonstrate a practical example of its contents. (Aal-`Imran
3:164.) This function of the Prophet (S) could not be carried out
unless his guidance was held to be authoritative and binding upon his
followers. Thus Allah made obedience to His Messenger(S) an obligation
upon mankind. (Aal-`Imraan 3:132, An-Noor 24:54, etc.)
Today many Muslims do not understand this point, thinking that
following andobeying the Prophet's (S) commands is a matter of choice,
and that it is only the commandments in the Qur'ân that they are
duty-bound to comply with. This misconception was indeed prophesied by
the Messenger (S) who made the correct position and status of the
Sunnah explicitly clear. He said,
{Indeed I have been given the Qur'ân, and that which is like it along
with it; yet the time is coming where aman reclining on his couch will
say, "Keep to this Qur'ân: what you find in it to be permissible treat
as permissible; and what you find prohibited treat as prohibited." But
what Allah's Messenger has prohibited is like what Allah has
prohibited.} (Recorded by Ahmad, Abu Daawood, and others. Verified to
be authentic by al-Albaani (Saheeh ul-Jaami` 8186).
Careful consideration of this ahaadeeth will also lead us to deduce
that his (S) authority was not confined to his time, as many nowadays
purport; itholds good for all times to come. Since the above ahaadeeth
is a prophecy, it also shows us that the Sunnah is divine in its
origin.
Allah is Al-Aleem (the All-Knowing) and Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise); and
He is aware of the pastand everything to come in the future. Thus, His
divinely revealed Sunnah isapplicable to mankind from the time of the
Prophet (S) until the Day ofResurrection. Allah is able to do all
things; and He hasgiven us a Sunnah that is preserved, perfect and
complete and does not need to be changed with the times. Surely
removing something from it when it is complete and perfect willonly
cause imperfection and incompleteness. He hastold us (by revealing to
theProphet (S) towards the end of his life):
{This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favor
upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your way of
life.}(Al-Maaidah 5:3.)
As for the reliability of the Prophet's (S) Sunnah, first of all,
contrary to what many think, compilation of the Prophet's (S) Sunnah
began in his own lifetime. Many Companions of the Messenger (R)
documented the sayings and actions of the Prophet (S); and this was
something the Prophet (S) himself instructed them to do. He (S) said
to one of his Companions (R):
{Continue writing [what I say] for by Him in whose Hand is my soul,
nothing comes out from my mouth except the Truth.} ( Ahmad,Abu
Daawood, and others. Verified to be authentic by al-Albaani
(As-Saheehah 1532)
Moreover, writing was not their sole means of preservation. The Arabs
before Islam were well accustomed to memorizingthousands of verses of
poetry./

Story - Past Event:-/-sick, but death visited us instead:
There are so many virtues in visiting the sick. It's often a reality
check which helps us to regain focus on our own lives, be grateful for
our own health and it helps us put life into perspective as the ill
and ailing are often in betweenlife and death; between this world and
Hereafter.
"He who visits the sick continues to remain in the fruit garden of
Paradise until he returns." [Sahih Muslim]
"A Muslim walking to visit a sick person will be wading in the mercy
of Allah. When the visitor sits with the sick one, they will be
immersed in mercy until his return." [Ahmed and Ibn Hibban]
But the other virtues of visiting the sick is that often times, your
presence uplifts their mood, brings asmile to their face and helps
them forget their suffering. And sometimes, as this past week showed
me, visiting someone at the right time of their sickness, may be a
Divine Way of Allah bringing help and assistance to the family in
their time of need.
Below is an account of something that happened to me and my friend
just a couple of days ago. The scenes, images and flashbacks still
replay in mymind, and I find the wisdom and lessons that I learnt to
be so numerous…:
Ring, ring!
Me: Hello?
Friend: As-salamu `alaykum.
Me: Hey, wa `alaykumusalam sis! Good to hear from you, how's it going?
It was my friend calling from abroad. Her mother had been taken ill
and diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, so her and her eldest
daughter had travelled from their homeland to Egypt in search of good
medical care and treatment. Although we never met them before, the
very least we could do was visit and see how we could help. Wedidn't
realise they were all alone, with no assistance, unable to speak
Arabic or get around easily.
Tuesday, 11am.
The aunty had received her1st dose of chemotherapy the day before and
had gone home to rest.
My friend and I decided to visit her and see how she was doing. We met
up after class, grabbed some food and fruits to take to the aunty and
made our way from there. As we got in, the daughter said she was
sleeping. But we popped into the room to see her anyway.
"Here, let me wake her up for you" said the daughter.
"No, no, please, let her sleep" I objected.
"No, it's ok, she's been sleeping long enough."
"How long?" I asked.
"Since yesterday, but she woke twice in the night and was sick."
"Is she usually up by this time?"
"Yes, she doesn't sleep for this long. She seems to be in a deep sleep."
"When was the last time she ate?"
"Yesterday evening."
I don't know why I was asking these questions since the daughter
herself is a doctor, but the situation didn't seem right to me.
"Aunty?" I shook her myself.
No response. She was breathing deeply but normally. "Aunty?!" I
shookher again, this time raising my voice. She was heavily sedated
and unresponsive. I pinched her fingers, shookher, no response. This
didn't look right, we decided to get her to hospital.
Pulling out a wheelchair, we rushed to get her in, struggling under
her weight. I went downstairs to get help from the doorman but he was
nowhere to be seen. Ah man, I started pressing on a button. "Hello,
10th floor here." No, wrong button! These Egyptian buildings are so
random in their intercom system!
I frantically pushed anotherbutton… finally got through to him. He
came out and after trying to explain, we rushed back upto the flat.
Alhamdulillah we managed to get her downstairs and out on to the
street.
Now, this wasn't the UK where one can dial 999 and have a team of
medics arrive within minutes to take the burden of you. This was a
place where we didn't even know the emergency number! Incredibly, a
few days priorto this, someone was asking me about the emergency no. &
services in Egypt. I had no clue, so I just said, "If anything
happens, grab the nearest taxi; it's probably faster and better than
waiting foran ambulance."
Subhan'Allah, was I completely living my own advice right now or what
We flagged down a taxi and struggled again to get the aunty inside,
she was still unconscious.

Health:-/- Corn Jalapeño Paneer Dip – Quick Appetizer Recipe:
Spicy Jalapeño Paneer & Corn Dip Made with Yogurt:
:->
When it comes to finger food, Chip & Dip or Chips and Salsa is a
common favorite. But if you are bored eating or serving the same old
routine stuff, then dress up your ingredients and go the uncommon way
by making this Spicy but Creamy Jalapeño paneer and Corn Dip. Unlike
the other Dip recipes, I substitute Yogurt instead of the Cheese for
the base. The Crumbled Paneer mixed with the fresh corn kernels gives
it a lovely texture that is perfect witha piece or two of chips or
fries. but the star ingredient, of course, is the Jalapeño – it gives
the recipe the kick you need, without making it overly spicy.
I add a hint of dried basil to give it a bit of flavor. You can skip
it, if you want, or replace it with some thing else, like KasuriMethi
or Rosemary . Sending this over to Sara's Corner , who's hosting
Monthly Mingle this time.
Spicy Jalapeno Paneer & Corn Dip
Ingredients
1/2 cup shredded or crumbled paneer
1/2 cup sweet corn kernels– thawed
2 jalapeño chillies – diced
1 cup yogurt
a pinch of salt
a pinch of dried basil leaves (optional)
1/4 cup shredded swiss or Monterey jack cheese
Method
Thaw the corn kernels, if using frozen kind; then microwave them in a
bowlof water for about 3 minutes to make them soft. Remove water and
drain the corn kernels.
Mix all the ingredients in the blender with 2 tbsp yogurt. Grind to a
fine paste, then keep adding more yogurt and blend to form a smooth
dip-like consistency.
Check for taste, and add more salt or jalapeños if needed.
Transfer the Spicy Paneer Jalapeño Corn Dip to a serving bowl and
serve with some hot Tortilla chips or any other munchies.
Easy Appetizer Recipe Idea
I used this dip to make some fancy fuss-free appetizers – layer a
coupleTortilla chips, spoon a serving of the Paneer & Corn Dip on the
top, then drizzle a dot or two of Salsa. cover with another layer of
Tortilla chips, topped with some shredded Mexican 4-Cheese blend. Line
a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place the stacked Tortilla
chips on the tray. Broil in apreheated oven (250 deg F) for about 3
minutes till the cheese melts. Serve this quick and easy appetizer at
your next entertaining event!

Story - Past Event:-/-This is Who I Am:
I can only come as I am to you, Allah
You're not the only thing inmy heart
But can't I still give it, full of everything as it is, back to you?
You're not the only thing on my mind
But can't I still ask you to help me with my random, sinful thoughts?
I'm not perfect, and You even said You wouldn't want this
You want those who can be forgiven
And I need forgiveness Yousee, because
I sometimes am fine with having more than just You in my life
I sometimes am fine with thinking things I shouldn't
I sometimes am fine with skipping a prayer or two
I sometimes am fine with eating a haraam burger
I sometimes am fine with saying a bad word
This is who I am Allah, a girl who is sometimes fine with sin in my life
But I don't forget You, everywhere I look I see You
And I'm just tired of being told to be someone else, just to come to You
I am who I am Allah, and while I am making my bad choices
I am also hating that people are being hurt
Whether it's by me or someone else
I am hating that people aremistreating one another
Whether in the name of Islam or any other cause
Allah I am who I am, and I am someone who loves goodness
I love fairness and compassion
My favorite thing is to see people come into a blessing of any kind
And find their heart's desire, to see them really find You
So this is who I am Allah, I am a contradiction
I am a lover of Your attributes even while I am rejecting them in my own life
By means of my own actions
I am messed up and hurt and scared, all while hopeful and trusting and
strongI cry that things don't go my way, and I cry at the story of
Muhammad (saws)
I argue for the fun of it, yetsometimes Your words take the fight
right out of me
You are ultimate and real and deep and pricelessly complex
And I am whimsical, moody, emotional, nafsy and greedy
And all I want is to be able to come to You and be who I really am
While You make me who I was always meant to be./

The checkout girl was in total shock! The Niqabi girl who was blond

This is my country and THIS IS MY ISLAM!! You born Muslims sold your

News:->Do Islam, Christianity, and Judaism have different Origins?
No. Muslims believe that the original, unchanged message given to
Muhammad, Jesus, Moses and all other prophets came from the One same
God. This common origin explains their similarities inmany beliefs and
values.
"Say: We Believe in God and what has been revealed to us, and what was
revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes,
and what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their
Lord; we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him
(God) do we wholly give ourselves." (Qur'an 3:84)
Jews, Christians and Muslims all consider Abraham their Patriarch.
Abraham is mentioned in the Qur'an as one of the great prophets. He
was blessed by God to be the father of many nations. From his second
son, Isaac, descended the tribes of Israel, and through them, Moses
and Jesus; and from his first son, Ishmael, came Muhammad (peace and
blessings of God be upon all of His messengers).
Abraham was commanded by God to rebuild the placeof worship that Adam
first built - the Ka'bah, in Makkah (Mecca). The Ka'bahis a simple
stone structure, erected as a sanctuary for the worship of the One
God. Muslims do not worship the Ka'bah; the cubical building is simply
the unified direction toward which all Muslims face in Prayer to God,
Almighty./

HADEES:-> The Hidden Blessings of Illness and Hardship:
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of
Allah(pbuh) said, "For any adversity a Muslim suffers, Allah erases
someof his sins, even though it may be no more than athorn pricking
him." (Related by Al-Bukhari).
Another version of this Hadith is also related by Al-Bukhari on the
authorityof two of the Prophet's (pbuh) companions, namely, Abu Saeed
Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairahwho quote him as saying: "Whatever befalls a
Muslim of exhaustion, illness, worry, grief, nuisance or trouble,
eventhough it may be no more than a prick of a thorn, earns him
forgiveness by Allah of some of his sins."
My father recently suffered a fall and broke his leg badly, and is now
in a rehab center. In my personal life, two moves and one divorce in
the last five years have made it hard to retain friendships, and I
find myself feeling isolated. I've been through some painful personal
experiences. And these are hard times economically aswell. So there's
a lot of stress in the household.
I do my best to love my daughter more than ever, to play with her, hug
and kiss her, and always remind her of Allah's barakah. I try to make
her world full of happiness, learning, and talks about Allah. I try to
never let her see me sweat, as they say. But once she's sound asleep
in bed, I feel the weight of responsibility on my shoulders like a
sack of stones.
So if by patiently enduring this illness and these hard times in
general, I will earnAllah's forgiveness for my sins, and maybe will be
blessed in ways that I do not see, then I am grateful.
One more hadith: Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that Allah's Messenger
salallahu alayhi wasallam said, "On the Day of Resurrection, when
people who have suffered affliction are given their reward, thosewho
are healthy will wish their skins had beencut to pieces with scissors
when they were in the world." (Al-Tirmidhi,1570)
In other words, when people see how much reward is given to those who
suffered in life, they will wish that they had suffered terribly, in
the worst possible ways, so that it might become a cause of
forgiveness for them in the Hereafter.
SubhanAllah, whatever pain we suffer in this life is not in vain. It
is not wasted. We may cry and wince and groan over small pains, but
Allah sees our suffering and will compensate us more than we can
imagine, as long as we are patient and keep faith in Him. Allah the
Most High has a plan for us, and He is the best of planners. We must
have faith in Him and His plan for us./

Qur'an Ayath - Explanation :-/-Allah and His Messenger are the lights in the darkness of this world
For us, the light is Allah, and the Quran through which He
communicates with us. Our guiding light isthe natural bond we have
with Allah, and our instinctive yearning to know our Creator. Let's
cherish that bond and strengthen it, and it will fillus with light.
Allah's light is our salvationfrom fear of the unknown; fear of
failure; fear of loss and pain; fear of poverty, illness and injury;
fear of enemies who want to hurt us; fear of strange things; fear of
death.
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His
light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lampis within glass,
the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a
blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil
would almost glow even if untouched by fire.Light upon light. Allah
guides to His light whomHe wills. And Allah presents examples for the
people, and Allah is Knowing of all things." - Quran, Surat An-Nur,

HADEES:->We went to visit the...
The scenes, images and flashbacks still
replay in mymind, and I find the wisdom and lessons that I learnt to
be so numerous…

Recitation of the Quran During Menses and Post Natal Bleeding:
:->
Narrated 'Aisha (RA):
"We set out with the sole intention of performing Hajj and when we
reached Sarif, (11 kms. from Makka,I got my menses. Allah's Messenger
(SAW) came to me while I was weeping. He said "What is the matter

all thepilgrims do with the exception of Tawaf (Circumambulation)
round the Ka'bah." 'Aisha (RA), added, "Allah's Messenger (SAW)
sacrificed cows on behalf of his wives."
Pilgrims make dhikr and read Quran. There was no objection from the
Prophet(SAW) and he (SAW) actually "told" Aisha (RA) todo so.
Another reason being hardship. A woman might forget what she memorized.
So therefore if there is no text forbidding such an act,one cannot
conclude that the act is not allowable. The burden of proof is on
those who claim that such women cannot recite the Quran, and they
offer no clear or direct proof.
There is no harm whatsoever in a menstruating woman or post-partum
bleeding woman reciting the Quran from their memory without actually
touching the Quran./

Qur'an & Hadees Ayath - Explanation :-/
Allah, the Exalted, says:
"And they fall down on their faces weeping and it increases their
humility." (17:109)
Abu Umamah Sudaiy bin `Ajlan Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:
"Nothing is dearer to Allah than two drops andtwo marks: A drop of
tears shed out of consciousness of Allah, and a drop of blood shed in
Allah's way. Regarding the two marks, they are: Marks left in the
Cause of Allah and a mark left in observing one of the obligatory acts
of worship of Allah, the Exalted." [At-Tirmidhi].
And if tears do not come, that's okay too. As long as you are honest
with yourself and with Allah, and turn to Him with sincerity and
humility, that's what matters.
Find a place that is your special place, a refuge where you can be
alone to pray, recite Quran, do dhikr, meditate and think. Amid the
chaos and noise of modern life, take time to be alone with your Lord./

Story - Past Event:-/- Let Me Be True:
When it all comes down,
let me be true.
When seas thicken to brown,
and the world grows dim,
and love scatters
like ash on the wind,
and every man lies
to protect his skin:
let me be true to You Allah,
let me be true.
To the Messenger,
let me be near:
when in a dream I sat by him
against the beam of a wrecked ship,
he in a green turban, and a battle clashing…
we drank water, and breathed,
then he turned to me, and said,
"It's not what you speak that matters
but what you do."
To my heaven-blessed hero
let me be true.
To my love, let me be sincere.
I stand beneath a lamp
in a sphere of light
on a desert road. I don't peer
into the night. I listen,
beard dewed with rain,
for the footsteps of her soul.
Let me lead her to Jannah
and fulfill the shepherd's goal.
Let me soothe her sight,
carry her through storm,
and stand like a lion
as armies swarm on.
To my little daughter,
O Allah I implore you,
let me be forever true.
When she laughs and exclaims,
"You're so strong, Baba!"…
When I speak God's name
and she listens solemnly,
when she leaps and believes
that I'll save her…
To her nature and her dreams,
let me be true.
To myself – the greatest dare -
let me be real as earth.
Through the cinder heaps
and broken cities of the world
let me sweep, through black smoke,
eyes streaming, striding
like a bear. Let me hold on
to Book and pen, knife and drum,
true love as gun and guide.
Let me bow down on the roadside,
true to the Lord of the Dawn.
Let me rise, head up,
bloody and torn
but voicing truth
to the livid eyes of death,
and spreading peace
where only hate was found.
Dress me in taqwa.
Feed me dust and bone
and find me where sea meets stone
at the Western edge
when, finally, every secret is dredged,
and the world is used and done.

-:Hadees:-:->"They pray like us and fast as we do. However, they give in charity, whereas wecannot do that, and they free servants, whereas we cannot afford it." The Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, said,/
Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah said that theMessenger of Allah,
sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, said,
" Paradise is nearer to any of you than the strap of hisshoe, and so
is the (Hell) Fire." [Ahmad 1:387]
Al-Bukhari collected this Hadith through the narration of Ath-Thawri
[Fath al-Bari 11:328]. This Hadith indicates the close proximity of
both good and evil in relation to mankind. If this is the case, then
this is the reason Allah the Exalted encouraged mankind to rush to
perform acts of righteousness and obedience and to avoid
theprohibitions. By doing so, their sins and errors will beforgiven
and they will acquire rewards and an exalted status. Allah the Exalted
said,
"Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your
Lord, and Paradise the width whereof is as the width of the heaven and
the earth."
Allah the Exalted said in another Ayah,
"And march forth in the way (to) forgiveness fromyour Lord, and for
Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who
have Taqwa." (3:133)
Allah said here,
"prepared for those whobelieve in Allah and His Messengers. That is
the grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He is pleased with. And
Allah isthe Owner of the great bounty."
Meaning, "This, that Allah has qualified them for, is alla part of His
favor, bounty and compassion." We mentioned a Hadith collected in the
Sahih in which the poor emigrants said to the Messenger, sallallahu
`alayhi wa sallam, "O Allah's Messenger! The wealthy people will get
higher grades and permanent enjoyment." He asked,"Why is that?" They
said,"They pray like us and fast as we do. However, they give in
charity, whereas wecannot do that, and they free servants, whereas we
cannot afford it." The Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, said,
"Shall I tell you of a good deed that, if you acted upon, you would
catch up with those who have surpassed you? None would overtake you
and bebetter than you, except those who might do the same. Say,
"Glorious is Allah," Allah is Most Great", and "Praise be to Allah",
thirty three times each after every prayer."/

Health:-/- Dark chocolate, it’s good for you!
Chocolate comes from cocoa beans, that grow ona cocoa tree. Research
shows that a high percentage of cocoa, as found in dark chocolate,
packs in a variety of plant nutrients that can be goodfor your
cardiovascular health, your skin and more.
Loaded with flavonoids, essential minerals and antioxidants, some
experts equate dark chocolate and cocoa with the goodness of green tea
and blueberries. But, remember to not go on a binging spree, but to
eat in moderation.
Health benefits of dark chocolate:
A healthy dose of antioxidants: Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants
found aplenty in nuts, berries, green tea and the likes, which helps
fight free radicals that can damage your health. Research has shown
that the antioxidants found in this delicacy can help protect you
against cancer, premature ageing, cardiovascular disease andeven
cancer.
Sweet news for your blood sugar: Dark chocolate, a healthy dessert
option, can fulfill your cravings for sweets and also keep your blood
sugar in check. Dark chocolate has a low glycaemic index, which means
it won't raise your blood sugar levels, of course, when eaten in
moderation.
Minerals your body needs: Dark chocolate packs in many essential
minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron that do your body
good in many ways.
The feel good factor: There is no denying that chocolate is a mood
enhancer. Chocolate contains chemical compounds like theobromine,
caffeine and phenylethylamine, which release endorphins that create a
pleasurable feeling. So if you're feelingblue, bite into a piece of
dark chocolate to feel better. Sans any guilt!
Toast to a healthy heart: Polyphenols found in dark chocolate inhibit
oxidationof LDL known as bad cholesterol (Read more about cholesterol
reducingfoods here ), thereby preventing heart disease. When this waxy
substance(LDL) sticks to your artery walls (through the processof
oxidation), it can put you at risk of heart disease.
Keeps blood pressure in check: Another means by which dark chocolate
benefits cardiovascular health is by keeping your blood pressure
under check (Watch cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty speak about symptoms
of heart attack ). Studies show that eating dark chocolate in
moderation can help lower blood pressure, so eat a small piece
everydayand reap its benefits./

Story - Past Event:-/-Love Works Miracles in the Heart:
It may be a cliche' to speak about love changing the world. It's not
something we can envision in concreteterms. So let me bring it down to
the level of one human being.
Growing up, I had a friend named Ismail. He was a few years younger
than me– when I was 17 he was 14, I think – and had grown up in a
dysfunctional family that had moved around constantly and had not
bothered to educate the children, so that at the age of 14, Ismail was
functionally illiterate.
I began tutoring Ismail andhis younger brother, teaching them to read
and write. I started from scratch, teaching them the alphabet and the
sounds ofthe letters, and working upto small phonetic words. I tutored
them for one hour every day, seven days a week, in the living room of
their apartment. Their parents were not supportive. I was never paid.
Sometimes their parents were fighting with each other at the same time
I was trying to teach. At times I noticed that the two boys could not
concentrate because they were hungry, so I began feeding them before
our study sessions, and giving them multivitamins. Slowlythey began to
learn, until they could write short essays and letters on their own.
Back then I worked for the United States Geological Survey, measuring
water levels at farms in the Central Valley, and taking water samples
to be testedfor various fertilizers and pesticides. It was hot,
difficult work. I'd ride my motorcycle more than hourto the huge
corporate farms on the west side of the valley. Armed with survey
maps, I would trudge across vast farms in 100 degree heat, seeking the
sumps that brought up ground water for irrigation. If the farms had
been recently irrigated the ground might be soft and my feet would
sink into the mud with every step. Some of the sumps were a dozen feet
deep or more, so in order to get a sample I had to toss a chain link
ladder down into the sump, climb down, fill a test tube, and climb
back out. I was very aware that if the ladder broke I could get stuck
in the sump, and I might not even be missedfor two or three days (no
cell phones in those days). It worried me.
So I began asking Ismail to come to the farms with me. He wasn't doing
anything anyway – he was not enrolled in school because he could not
function anywhere near hisgrade level. He'd ride on the back of the
motorcycle as we passed through dusty, poverty-stricken migrant towns
like Mendota and Firebaugh, sometimes swerving to avoid patches where
tomatoes or oranges had fallen from farm trucks andbeen splattered by
traffic. By the time we arrived, ourhelmet face shields would be
crusted with dead gnatsand butterflies. At the farms, Ismail would
help me locate the wells, keep an eye on me while I climbed down, and
then ride back with me. Sometimes on the way home I'd feel him tilting
a bit and I'd realize he had fallen asleep on the motorcycle, so I'd
give him a nudge with my elbow to wake him up.
Ismail was like a brother tome. I tutored him not because I wanted
anythingfrom him, but because he was like family. I loved him, though
I never would have told him so. I was notraised to speak such words.
When I was twenty years old, Ismail got a scholarship to study at the
Islamic University of Madinah, in Saudi Arabia. When it was time for
him to leave I drove him to Los Angeles and took him to the airport.
The next year was hard for him. The living environment in the
university dorms at Madinah was austere, and Ismail was lonely. I used
tosend him letters with jokes,or stories about the peopleback home.
One day Ismail called collect, and as we spoke I told him to keep his
head up, that we were all proud of him. Ismail's voice became choked
with emotion and he said, "I love you, Wael." Strange asit may seem, I
had never heard those words before from anyone./

Qur'an Ayath - Explanation :-/- Ask Allah, He WILL Help You!
If you ask Allah for guidance sincerely, believing in Him and trusting
in Him, he WILL guide you. If you approach Him with humility and faith
and ask Him for help, He WILL help you. "And your Lord says: "Call on
Me; I will answer you." (Quran 40:60). I personally have experienced
this in my life again and again. Allah is real and miracles do happen.
I remember one time whenI was deeply confused about something that
mattered very much to me.I prayed to Allah late at night, and began
crying. After my prayer, I laid down right there on the musalla
(prayer rug), and fell asleep, and BAM, here comes one of the most
powerful dreams I have ever had, with a very clear answer to my
problem. Then the next night I'm outside and feeling some doubts
again, and all of a sudden I see a tremendous meteor go flaming across
the sky right in front of me.I was amazed and I laughed out loud
because Allah could not have made it any clearer.
I'm not promising you a dream and a meteor (smile). But Allah's
promise is true. He WILL answer you, maybe in ways that you see
clearly, or in ways that you don't. The answer might be to protect you
from harm, or to give you something better than what you requested. Or
theanswer might only be a feeling of faith and tranquility in your
heart that allows you to move forward confidently. He WILL help you./

Story - Past Event:-/See the Beauty AroundYou:
We tend to think of beautiful places as being far away. We imagine
exotic lands like the Caribbean islands, the Mediterranean coast, the
Alps or the Himalayas, or anywhere in New Zealand, ha ha.
There is glory everywhere. Right now, in this moment, there is
something beautiful within the boundaries of your vision, or very
near.
From where I am sitting, through the kitchen window I can see a rose
bush. The pink roses are blooming and reaching for the sky, and it's
quite lovely ma-sha-Allah. I hear birds singing outside, and through
the front window I see a birds of paradise bush, with it's angular
orange flowers.
Closer at hand, on my desk is a lovely ornate metal vase from Egypt.
It is covered in intricate Islamic patterns with verses of the Quran
twining around the sides. There are other beautiful works of art in
the house if I take the timeto glance around – including a simple
artwork that my daughter Salma made by sticking different kinds of
leaves to a sheet of paper.
Beauty can be found in ordinary things as well. On the kitchen counter
I see two lemons cut in half, andbeside them a boiled egg. It reminds
me of an artist's tableau and makes me wish I were a painter. My
daughter is playing on the floor with her train set, andshe is the
jewel of my eye, ma-sha-Allah.
One of the reasons we fall into depression is that we focus on what we
don't have, or what we have lost; and we fail to see the blessings and
beauty that surround us.
Right now, look around you. Quiet your mind, and focus on beauty.
Remember that life is a gift, and a miracle, and a sign.
And the grazing livestock He has created for you; inthem is warmth and
[numerous] benefits, andfrom them you eat.
And for you in them is beauty when you bring them in [for the
evening],and when you send themout.
And they carry your loadsto a land you could not have reached except
withdifficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.
And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride, and
[as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know.
And upon Allah is the direction of the way, and among the various
paths are those deviating. And if He willed, He could have guided you
all.
It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from
it is foliage in which you pasture.
He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees,
grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a
people who give thought.
And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon,
and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in thatare signs
for a people who reason.
And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of
varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a peoplewho remember.
And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat,
and to extract fromit ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships
plowing through it,that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you
will be grateful.
And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift
with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that youmay be guided, And
landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided.
Then is He who creates like one who does not create? So will you not bereminded?
And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate
them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Qur'an Ayath - Explanation :-/:-|Not everyone can be your friend…
Allah Ta'ala said,
"… And do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our
remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in]
neglect." [al-Kahf: 28]
As for good character, then 'Alqamah ibn Qays (rahimahullah) summed it
up in his final advice to his son as he was on his deathbed:
"O my son, if you ever feel the need to befriend and accompany men,
then accompany the one who protects you when you help him, adorns you
if you walk with him, and supplies you when your provisions run out.
Accompany the one who when you stretch forth your hands in goodness ,
he stretches his hand too, ifhe sees merit from you, he remembers it,
and if he sees bad from you, he remedies it. Accompany the one who
gives you when you ask , who steps up when you are silent, and who
consoles you when calamity overtakes you. Accompany the one who
believes you when you speak , entrusts you when you engage in work ,
and if you fall out, he prefers you to the fallout."
In such cases, it is said:
'Your real brother is he who stays with you
Who harms himself in order to help you
When hard times break you and scatter you
He becomes dispersed just so he can fix you'
But before all that, he mustbe knowledgeable after having attained
wara' (piety), so that you can benefit from his knowledge too. Luqman
said to his son, "O my son, sit with the scholars, crowd them with
your knees! For indeed, hearts come to life with words of wisdom just
like the dead earth comes back to life with the downpour of rain.""

''Advise'':-/:-/- What is written in the Quran about motherhood?
"And We have enjoined upon man to be kind to hisparents; in pain did
his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying
of a child to his weaning is thirty months. At length, when he reaches
the age of full strength and is forty years (old), he says, 'O my
Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Your favors, that You
bestowed me andupon both my parents; that I may do righteous deeds
that are acceptable to You; and be gracious to me with regards to (my
own) offspring. Surely, I turn to You repentant, and I wholly give
myself (to You)." (Qur'an 46:15)
Mothers are accorded a special place of honor and respect in Islam.
A man once came to Prophet Muhammad and asked, "O Messenger of God!
Who among the people is more worthy of my companionship?" The Prophet
replied, "Your mother." Then man then asked who next, the Prophet
replied "Your mother" again. The man repeated the question a third
time and got the same answer. The man asked once again, "Who next?"
Only then did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reply,
"Your father."
These, and other referencesin the Qur'an and incidents from the life
of the Prophet, clearly indicate the elevated status Islam has given
to mothers. A Muslim sees a mother as anicon of strength and courage,
tempered with compassion, kindness and love.

::-*You are not defined by the stuff you own. Your "stuff" is not a
part of you. Your "stuff" will break, disappear, or be left behindone
day.
In fact what truly defines our character is how we react to loss. If
we were stripped of all the possessions we love, who would we be in
that moment? Would we still be grateful to Allah, patient, trusting?
Hopefully it never comes tothat. But seriously, those times of
greatest sadness and joy are when our thoughts must turn to Allah, The
Eternal, The Merciful, The Wise.
Allah says, "Never will you attain the good until you spend from that
which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allahis Knowing of
it." [Quran 3: 92]
Think about that. Allah is telling us to give away the things that we
love the most! SubhanAllah! Why does Allah ask this of us? Is it to
liberate us from slavery to material possessions? To f0cus our minds
on Allah and the aakhirah (hereafter)? To prevent the evil that
results from the love of money? To benefit the poor?
Yes, for all of those reasons. Excessive attachment to any
materialthing is misguidance. The love of possessions is a spiritual
trap./

Health:-/ :-> Natural wonders – Beetroots:

-
::-*The right beets for you
Members of the Chenopodiaceous family, beetroots are found along the
coasts from India to Britain. A versatile vegetable, if there ever
was one, beetroots are hailed for their richness in minerals, vitamins
and nutrients. A great source of carotenoids and lutein/zeaxanthin,
beetroots are also known as sources of dietary fibre, folic acid,
Vitamin C, iron, potassium , manganese, zinc, copper , and magnesium.
If that isn't enough, here's some more: beets are low in calories and
yet are the sweetest vegetables in themarket. So much so, they're even
occasionally used to make refined sugar.
Beetroot and its health benefits
Stronger heart: Beet fibres reduce cholesterol and triglycerides by
promoting higher levels ofHDL, which aids in fightingheart diseases.
Beetroots also contain betaine that helps reduce levels of
homocysteine, which may increase the risk of strokesand heart
diseases.
Watch Dr Devi Shetty talk about tips to prevent heart diseases.
Breathe freely: This Vitamin C-rich vegetable helps prevent symptoms of asthma.
Healthy babies: Beetroot is a great supplement during the pregnancy
period. Folic acid, the mostabundant nutrient in beetroots, is crucial
in the proper foetal development during pregnancy, and the development
of the infant's spinal column.
Prevent anaemia: Iron in the beetroot increases the production of
blood and haemoglobin levels in the body, thus preventing andcuring
severe anaemia .
Happier you: The betaine contained in the beetroot enhances the
production of the body's natural mood lifter, seratonin, andcan help
you cheer up. Really!
Stronger immune system: Beetroots pack a punch with the vitamins and
nutrients stored within. They boost the body's immune system and help
fight off infection. They also aid in stimulating the reoxygenation of
cells andthe production of new blood cells.
Beta-carotene goodness: The beta-carotene abundance in beets helps
avoid macular degeneration and prevents age-related blindness, known
as cataract.
Cure for hangover hell: The pigment that gives beetroot its rich red
colour, beta-cyanin, is an oxidant that accelerates detoxification in
the liver and converts alcohol into a substance that can be eliminated
more easily. So the next time you're readyto vow never to drink again
after a binge session, hold off till you're a beetroot down.
Word of caution
*. Though not a frequentoccurrence, beetroots may cause red colour in
urine or stool, known as beeturia.
*. Since an increased consumption of beets also means an increased
intake of fibre, it may cause bloating, gas or diarrhoea.
*. Beets can contain up to nearly 14g of sugar in one cup, so
patientswith blood sugar problems may seek medical supervision.
Quite like everything else in life, even beetroots require moderation.
Small concerns apart, you can't deny all the reasons to welcome this
lush vegetable into your kitchen. Use it for salads, soups, juices,
dips, or even in cakes! The choices are endless, and your reasons to
hold out, too few/

News:->What is Islam and who are Muslims?
Islam simply means to achieve peace - peace with God, peace with
oneself, and peace with the creations of God - through wholly giving
oneself God and accepting His guidance.
Islam is not a new faith. Muslims believe that it is the same truth
that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a
fifth of the world's population, Islam is not just a personal
religion, buta complete way of life.
Muslims come from all races, nationalities and cultures across the
globe. They have varied languages, foods, dress, and customs; even the
waythey practice Islam may differ. Yet they all consider themselves to
be Muslim.
Islam is a qualitative term -the quality of accepting God's supreme
authority above one's own. As such, being a Muslim does not mean
having to give up one's culture or traditions; rather it means
adopting the simple and logical principles of Islam to better one's
life and attain peace.
Less than 15% of Muslims live the Arab world; a fifth are found in
Sub-Saharan Africa; and the world's largest Muslim community is in
Indonesia. Substantial parts of Asia, and almost allthe Central Asian
republics, are Muslim. Significant Muslim minorities are found in
China, India, Russia, Europe, North America and South America/

oneself God and accepting His guidance.

::-*You are much more than just the sum of the mistakes you've made.
Your past mistakes are not brands of shame, but teachers, stimuli to
change and do better.
You also cannot be judged by the superficial circumstances of your
life: your nationality, race, age, the language you speak, your
favorite foods or colors, your birth date, your height or weight,
whether your lips are narrow or full, whether your hair is lustrous or
thin, whether you have six-pack abs or love handles. These things do
not define you.
For you pop culture fans out there, there's a scene inThe Matrix where
Neo is riding in a car, gazing out at the city, at all the places he
used to know. He says, "I used to eat there. Really good noodles. I
have these memories from my life. None of them happened. What does
that mean?" And Trinity replies, "That the matrix cannot tell you who
you are."/
