*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Islamic Articles, - * A glimpse of Islam's great concern for women

mwb
---

1- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetit was the custom of the people of the pre-Islamic era to hate and detest women. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):{And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.}[Quran 16: 58]
They disdained the infant girl and would bury her alive. Islam prohibited this and insisted that she be exalted and maintained with dignity. Allah The Almighty Says (what means):{And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked, for what sin she was killed.}[Quran 81: 8-9]
In some Hadeeths, the Prophetsaid:
•"Whoever maintains two daughters until they become independent will come on the Day of Resurrection along with me (close to each other) like these two (and he joined his two fingers)."[Muslim]
•"Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them kindly, these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
2- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetit had been the habit of the people of the pre-Islamic era to prevent the woman from her share of the inheritance. Islam gave her this right, whether little or large; Allah The Exalted Says (what means):{For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much - an obligatory share.}[Quran 4: 7]
3- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetit had been the habit of the people of the pre-Islamic era to inherit women against their will. When a woman's husband died, one of the heirs would come, throw a garment over her and say, "I have inherited her just as I have inherited his wealth." This would entitle him to have more control over her than herself. Islam prohibited this. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):{O you who have believed, it is not lawful for you to inherit women by compulsion.}[Quran 4: 9]
4- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetit had been the habit of the people of the pre-Islamic era to make difficulties for their women in order to prevent them from receiving their rights. A man would prevent his divorcee from remarrying until she had returned everything he had spent on her. A father would prevent his daughter from marriage and likewise the brother would prevent his sister if he so willed. A man would mistreat his wife and refuse to divorce her unless she ransomed herself. Islam prevented all this and eradicated such behavior. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):
•{And do not make difficulties for them in order to take [back] part of what you gave them unless they commit a clear immorality.}[Quran 4: 19]
•{Do not prevent them from remarrying their [former] husbands if they agree among themselves on an acceptable basis.}[Quran 2: 232]
5- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetthe woman was suffering from her husband's oppression, bad morals and ill treatment. Islam prohibited this and commanded the husband to treat her just as he would like her to treat him. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):
•{And live with them in kindness.}[Quran 4: 19]
•{And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable.}[Quran 2: 228]
6- When the religion of Islam was revealed to the Prophetthe widow's ‘Iddah (post-marriage waiting period) was a complete year. Islam lessened it to just a third. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):{And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - they, [the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days].}[Quran 2: 234]
7- Islam instructed that women should be treated with kindness. In a Hadeeth, the Prophetsaid:"Be kind to women."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
It also forbade one to hate his believing wife. The Prophetsaid:
•"A believing man should not hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he would like another one."[Muslim]
•"The best of you are those who are the kindest to their wives."[At-Tirmithi]
•"This life is enjoyment, and the best of its enjoyment is a righteous wife."[Muslim]
Indicating the characteristics of the righteous wife, the Prophetsaid:"She is the wife who pleases her husband when he looks at her, obeys him when he commands her and safeguards his honor and wealth when he is not present."[Ahmad and An-Nasaa’i]

Islamic Articles, - * Priceless Gems: Advice for Women from the Prophet

- PUBLISHERNajimudeeN M. MD, IRI (Managing Director, Islamic Research Institution)
• The Messenger of Allahsaid:"If a woman performs the five (obligatory) prayers, fasts the month (of Ramadan), maintains her chastity and obeys her husband, it will be said to her (on the Day of Judgment), 'Enter Paradise from whichever gate you like'."[Ibn Hibban] [Al-Albani: Saheeh]
• The Messenger of Allahsaid:"O company of women! Give charity even from your ornaments, for you constitute the majority of the people of Hell on the Day of Judgment."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
• The Messenger of Allahfurther said:"I advise you (O women) to adhere to Tasbeeh (to say 'Exalted be Allah'), Tahleel (to say 'there is none worthy of worship except Allah'), and Taqdees (to say 'Exalted be (Allaah) The Sovereign, The Pure, Exalted and Pure be the Lord of angels and Holy spirit'), and count with the help of your fingers, for they will be questioned and made to speak (to give witness to you), and be not heedless (of Thikr -- remembrance) lest you would forget (to seek) mercy."[Abu Dawood and At-Tirmithi]
• It was narrated that the Messenger of Allahasked a woman of the Ansar (The Companions of Prophetfrom Madeena) called Umm Sinan:“What prevented you from performing Hajj with us?”She replied, “There were only two camels used for carrying water owned by so-and-so (meaning her husband). He and his son offered Hajj on one, and the other was left to be used for irrigation.” The Prophetsaid:“Then, ‘Umrah (to be offered) in Ramadan is equal (in reward) to Hajj or Hajj with me.”[Muslim]
• The Messenger of Allahsaid:"May Allah have mercy upon a man who stands at night and offers (supererogatory) prayers and then awakens his wife to offer prayer, and if she refuses (to wake up), he sprinkles water on her face; and may Allah have mercy upon a woman who stands at night and offers(supererogatory) prayers and awakens her husband to offer prayer, and if he refuses, she sprinkles water on his face."[Ahmad] [Al-Albani: Saheeh]
• It was narrated on the authority of Umm Humayd, the wife of Abu Humayd As-Sa‘idithat she came to the Prophetand said, "‘O Messenger of Allah! I like to offer prayers with you." The Prophetsaid:“I know that you like to offer prayers with me; however, (you should know that) your prayer in your sleeping place (inside your chamber) is better for you than your prayer in your chamber; and your prayer in your chamber is better for you than your prayer in your house; and your prayer in your house is better for you than your prayer in the mosque of your people; and your prayer in the mosque of your people is better for you than your prayer in my mosque."[Ahmad] [Al-Albani: Saheeh]
• It was narrated on the authority of ‘Aa’ishahthat she said, “I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! We see that Jihad (struggle for the sake of Allah) is the best of deeds; should we not engage in Jihad?’ The Prophet said,“For you (women), the best act of Jihad is to perform Hajj that is accepted (by Allah)."[Al-Bukhari]
• It was said to the Prophet"‘O Messenger of Allah! Such-and-such a woman prays at night, fasts by day, does such-and-such good deeds and gives charity. However, she harms her neighbors with her tongue.’ On that the Messenger of Allahsaid:“There is no good in her. She is from the people of Hell.”They further said, “And such-and-such a woman performs only the (obligatory five) written prayers, and gives only yogurt as charity. However, she harms no one.” On that the Messenger of Allahsaid:“She is from the inhabitants of Paradise."[Al-Bukhari: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad] [Al-Albani: Saheeh]
• The Messenger of Allahsaid:"By the One in whose hand the soul of Muhammad is! A woman will not fulfill the right of her Lord (perfectly) unless she fulfills the right of her husband fully; and if her husband asks her to have sexual intercourse while sitting on the back of a camel, she should not prevent him (from doing so).”[Ibn Majah] [Al-Albani: Hasan]
• The Prophetsaid:"If a woman spends (gives charity) from the foodstuff of her house but not wastefully, she will have a reward for what she spent, her husband will have a reward for what he earned, and the storekeeper the like of that, without reducing anything from the reward of each other."[Al-Bukhari]
• It was narrated on the authority of Al-Husayn ibn Mihsan that one of his paternal aunts came to the Messenger of Allahfor a particular need, and when she finished her need the Prophetsaid to her:“Do you have a husband?” She answered in the affirmative. He asked: “How are you with him?”She said, “I am never negligent in fulfilling his right except when I am incapable.” On that, he said:“Then, regard your position with him for he either leads you to Paradise or to Hell."[Ahmad and Al-Hakim] [Al-Hakim and Ath-Thahabi: Saheeh]
• The Messenger of Allahsaid:"No trouble, fatigue, anxiety, sadness, harm or distress befalls a Muslim, even a prick that he receives from a thorn, but that for which Allah forgives some of his sins."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
O Muslim sister, remember the above mentioned Hadeeth (saying of Prophet), (narration), and hope for the reward from Allah The Almighty for whatever difficulties and troubles you meet in your life, like pregnancy, post-partum bleeding, suckling, raising children, menstruation, and so on, perchance your scale of good deeds will be heavy, your sins will be forgiven, and your rank will be elevated high in Paradise.

Engagment, - Dought & clear, - * Will getting married to someone who is possessed affect the children in the future?

gb

A.a am thinking of getting married but I have not settled on anyone yet.I have a cousin who am considering but she has a jin in her,so my question. Is can it affect a marriage and is it possible to get out of her and can it affect the children insha-Allah and what does the prophet saw say about such a marriage.
-
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
The fact that a jinni can possess a human and enter his body and cause seizures is proven according to the Qur’an and Sunnah and scholarly consensus.
But no such thing can happen except by Allah’s leave.
Secondly:
Being possessed by a jinni and having seizures as a result is not an impediment to marriage, but the one who is affected by that must inform a prospective spouse of it, because having these seizures is a defect which should be disclosed as it has an impact on some of the basic aims of marriage.
See also the answers to questions no. 135785and 158489
Thirdly:
Such situations may have an impact on the marriage as the husband may not have the patience to put up with this problem that affects his wife, and that may lead him to dislike interacting with her, so he will not treat her kindly or interact with her in a reasonable manner as enjoined by Allah.
But with regard to the impact of the jinni that is possessing her on the marriage and on married life, that impact will be affected by the degree of their faith and patience. If a person’s faith is strong, the Shaytaan will have no way to affect them, as Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah).
His power is only over those who obey and follow him (Satan), and those who join partners with Him (Allah) (i.e. those who are Mushrikoon – polytheists)”
[an-Nahl 16:99-100].
And Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“ ‘And Istafziz (literally means: befool them gradually) those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allahs disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.
‘Verily! My slaves (i.e the true believers of Islamic Monotheism), you have no authority over them. And All-Sufficient is your Lord as a Guardian’”
[al-Isra’ 17:64, 65].
But if a person’s faith is weak, the Shaytaan will toy with him as children play with a ball.
Fourthly:
The possession and what may result from it of seizures is a test for which Allah will reward the one who is tested with it, so patience will bring the greatest reward.
Al-Bukhaari (5652) and Muslim (2576) narrated that ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabaah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Ibn ‘Abbaas said to me: Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise? I said: Yes. He said: This black woman came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: I have epilepsy and I become uncovered. Pray to Allah for me. He said: “If you wish, you may be patient, and Paradise will be yours, or if you wish, I will pray to Allah to heal you.” She said: I will be patient. She said: But I become uncovered; pray to Allah that I will not become uncovered. So he prayed for her.
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This indicates that the one who suffers from seizures will be granted the highest reward for it. End quote fromSharh Muslim(132/16)
Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Al-Bazzaar narrated a similar story from Ibn ‘Abbaas with a different isnaad, according to which she said: “I am afraid that the evil one may cause me to become uncovered.” It may be understood from some of the different versions of the hadeeth that what she was suffering from was the kind of seizures caused by the jinn and not that which results from dysfunction in the brain.”
End quote fromFath al-Baari(115/10)
Fifthly:
It is possible to treat this woman and expel the jinni from her, by Allah’s leave and by His strength and power, may He be glorified, for the Shaytaan is weak and he has no power over any believer, man or woman; rather it is harm that Allah may decree for whomever He will among His slaves, and for the believing men and women it is mercy and expiation, and will raise them in status.
The best means of treating this problem is to recite Qur’an over the one who is afflicted and to perform ruqyah by reciting the du‘aa’s that have been narrated (from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)), and regularly reciting the prescribed wird and dhikr from the Qur’an, and that will disappear, by Allah’s leave.
Al-Haafiz said:
The hadeeth indicates that treating all diseases with du‘aa’ and turning to Allah is more beneficial and more efficacious than treating them with medications, because the effect of that is greater than the effect of physical medicine. But it is only efficacious in two cases: (i) if the sick person is sincere and (ii) if the one who treats him is strong in terms of piety and putting his trust in Allah.
End quote fromFath al-Baari(115/10).
See the answer to question no. 1819and 105336
Sixthly:
What we advise you to do is not to be hasty with regard to this marriage. Look at your own situation and that of the girl; if you think it most likely that you can put up with this situation, and that you will be patient with her, especially after having found out about her situation from those who know her or who have treated her, and the girl is good in terms of religious commitment and character, then put your trust in Allah and propose to her, especially since you have ties of kinship with her and it is more appropriate that you should care for her and be patient with her, in sha Allah,.
But if you know that you will not be able to bear it with patience, and it might be difficult for you to have a lasting relationship with her, then it is better not to get involved in this marriage, and there is no need for you to open the door to something that you might not be able to bear, or to shut that door again.
And Allah knows best.
