*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Dought & Clear - Worshipping Allaah when young, and do thedevils try to gain power over a person who worships Allaah a lot?.

Iam young and like woshipping Allah After 12 in the midnite especially
when fasting but some ppl told me that when sombody prays alot or
worships Alllah alot then the jinn nd the shaitan tries to stop him is
this true? another question is that when young ppl worship Allah in
the youth it is like gold for them i would be very happy if u can tell
me more about it .
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
We are very happy to learn of this good example of Muslim youth.
Whilst other youngsters think only of play and entertainment, and
spending their time in things that are of no benefit, along comes
thisgood example of Muslim youth who loves to worship Allaah, seek
knowledge, call others to Allaah and strive to learn the Qur'aan and
Sunnah. We congratulate you and pray that Allaah will make you
steadfast in adhering to His religion and will protect you and make
you a joy to your parents.
You should note that when the Shaytaan sees a person turning towards
his Lord, he tries to stop him. The Shaytaan has sworn to undertake
this evil mission, but Allaah tells us that he has no power over His
sincere slaves.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"[Iblees (Satan)] said: 'O my Lord! Because You misled me, I shall
indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I
shall mislead them all.
40. 'Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them.'
41. (Allaah) said: 'This is the Way which will lead straight to Me.'
42. 'Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except
those who follow you of the Ghaawoon (Mushrikoon and those who go
astray, criminals, polytheists, and evildoers)'"
[al-Hijr 15:39-42]
It should be noted that the Shaytaan can do no more than call people
to misguidance and make it look attractive to them. He has no power
over them to force them to do what he wants. So blame is attached only
tothose who respond to him.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And Shaytaan (Satan) will say when the matterhas been decided:
'Verily, Allaah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised
you, but I betrayed you. I hadno authority over you except that I
called you, and you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame
yourselves. I cannot help you, nor canyou help me. I deny yourformer
act in associatingme (Satan) as a partner with Allaah (by obeying me
in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the
Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers)'"
[Ibraaheem 14:22]
Worshipping and obeying Allaah impedes the tricks and whispers of the
Shaytaan, and remembrance of Allaah (dhikr) is a strong fortress by
means of which Allaah protects the one who remembersHim from the plots
and wiles of the Shaytaan.
It was narrated from Anas ibn Maalik that the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When aman leaves his house and
says, 'Bismillaah, tawakkaltu 'ala Allaah wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata
illa Billaah (In the name of Allaah, I put my trust in Allaah, and
there is no power and not strength except withAllaah), it is said:
'You have been guided, takencare of and protected,' and the devils
turn awayfrom him. And another devil says to him: 'What you can do
with a man who has been guided, taken care of and protected?'"
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3423; Abu Dawood, 5095; classed as saheeh by
al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.
The Shaytaan has no power over a heart that knows Allaah, or over
physical faculties that have submitted to Allaahby doing acts of
worshipand obedience and by avoiding sin. The light ofobedience burns
the devils as the shooting stars burn their brethren.
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Worship and obedience illuminate the heart and make it strong and
steadfast, until it becomes like a clear mirror, shining with light.
When the Shaytaan draws close, heis struck by its light like those who
try to eavesdrop (in the heavens) are struck by the shooting stars,
and the Shaytaan flees from this heart with more terror than a wolf
fleeing from a lion. End quote.
Al-Jawaab al-Kaafi, p. 64
Secondly:
Worshipping Allaah in one's youth is a sign thata person is good. The
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) spoke of the great
virtue of a young man who grows up worshipping and obeying Allaah, and
said that he will be shaded by Allaah on the Day of Resurrection, the
Day when the sun will be directly over the heads of the people.
It was narrated from AbuHurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There
are seven whom Allaah will shade with His shade on the Day when there
will be no shade but His…" among whom he mentioned, "a young man who
grew up worshipping Allaah." Narrated by al-Bukhaari,1423; Muslim,
1031.
Whoever keeps his physical faculties away from sin when he is young,
Allaah will protect him when he gets older. The Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) saidto Ibn 'Abbaas when he was a
young boy: "Be mindful of Allaah and He will take care of you."
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2516; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in
Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Whoever is mindful of Allaah when he is young and strong, Allaah will
take care of him when he is old and has become weak, and will bless
him with good hearing, eyesight, strength and reasoning. One of the
scholars who lived beyond the age of one hundred years and enjoyed
good strength and reasoning, jumped up in a lively manner one day and
was asked about that. He said: "I kept these physical faculties from
sin when Iwas young and Allaah has preserved them for me now that I am
old." The opposite also applies; one of the salaf saw an old man
beggingfrom people and said: "This is a weak man whoignored Allaah
when he was young, so Allaah is ignoring him now he has grown old."
End quote.
Jaami' al-'Uloom wa'l-Hukam, 1/186
So seek the help of Allaah in obeying Him and ask Him for more of His
bounty, and do not let anyone discourage you from following this path.
Beware of the devils among mankind and the jinn. We ask Allaah to help
you to remember Him and give thanks to Him and worship Him properly.
And Allaah knows best.

10 Facts about the Day of Jumu'ah

One of the blessings with which the Muslim nation has been endowed is
the day of Jumu'ah , or Friday . The Messenger of Allaah, , said: "The
best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it Allaah created Aadam. On
it, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and
the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday." [Ahmad and
At-At-Tirmithi].
Imaam Ibn Katheer , said, "It was named Jumu'ah because it is derived
from the word Al-Jam' in Arabic which means to gather, as Muslims
gather on this day every week, and Allaah has commanded the believers
to gather for His worship, as He says that which means : } "O you who
believe! When the call is proclaimed for Jumu`ah (Friday prayer), come
fastto the remembrance of Allaah" { [Quran, 62: 9] meaning be keen to
go and attend it."
Here are some other virtues and facts about the Day of Jumu'ah :
· It includes the congregational Jumu'ah prayer, which is one of the
obligatory acts in Islam and one of the great gatherings of the
Muslims. Allah The Almighty will seal the heart of whoever abandons
and slights this, according to the Prophet , in a Hadeeth (narration)
in the book of Imaam Muslim .
· The day of Jumu'ah includes an hour during which all supplications
are accepted. Abu Hurayrah , narrated that the Messenger of Allaah ,
said: "On (the day of) Jumu'ah is an hour during which Allaahgives to
a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for."
[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim].
· Giving in charity during this day is more virtuous than any other
day. Ka'b , narrated that the Messenger, , said: "Charity given during
theday of Jumu'ah is greater(in reward) than any other day."
· The believers will see their Lord from Paradise on that day. Anas
ibn Maalik, said regardingthe saying of Allaah The Almighty (which
means): } "And We have more (i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty)" {
[Quran, 50: 35] "Allaah will appear to them on the day of Jumu'ah."
· It is an 'Eed , i.e., a recurrent holiday and celebration. Ibn
'Abbaas , narrated that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Jumu'ah is a
day of celebration, so whoever attends it should performGhusl
(bathing) beforehand." [Ibn Maajah].
· It is a day on which sins are forgiven, as narrated by Salmaan who
narrated that the Prophet, said: "Any man who performs Ghusl on
Friday, perfumes himself if he has perfume, wears the best of his
clothes, then goes to the mosque and offers as many prayers as he
wishes while not harming anybody, then listens quietly while the Imaam
speaks until he offers the prayer, will have all his sins between that
Friday and the next forgiven." [Al-Bukhaari].
· When walking to attend the Friday sermon, a Muslim gets the reward
of both praying Qiyaam (i.e., the night prayer) and fasting a full
year. Aws ibn Aws narrated that the Prophet, , said: "Whoever performs
Ghusl on Friday after having sexual intercoursewith his wife, then
goes early to the mosque and attends from the beginning of the Khutbah
and draws near to the Imaam and listens to him attentively, Allaah
will give him the full reward of fasting all the days of a year and
observing night-vigil on each of its nights for every step that he
took towards the mosque." [Ibn Khuzaymah, Ahmad].
· Hell is fired-up during every day of the week except Friday, as a
mark of honour and respect for the day of Friday.
· Dying on Friday, during the day or night, is a signof a good end,
for the one who dies on that daywill be protected from the trial of
the grave (i.e.,Allaah The Almighty will enable such a person to be
steadfast during it). The Prophet, said: "AnyMuslim who dies during
the day or night of Fridaywill be protected by Allaah from the trial
of the grave." [At-Tirmithi and Ahmad].

Islamic Stories - Enemy Becomes a Friend

In the sixth year after the hijrah, the Prophet, peace be upon him,
decided to expand the scope of his mission. He sent eight letters to
rulers in the Arabian peninsula and surrounding areas inviting them to
Islam. One of these rulers was Thumamah ibn Uthal.
Thumamah was one of the most powerful Arab rulers in pre-Qur'anic
times. This is not surprising since he was achieftain of the Banu
Hanifah and one of the rulers of al- Yamamah whose word no one dared
to challenge or disobey.
When Thumamah received the Prophet's letter, he was consumed by anger
and rejected it.He refused to listen to the invitation of Truth and
goodness. More than that, he felt a strong desire to go and kill the
Prophet and buryhis mission with him.
Thumamah waited and waited for a convenient time to carry out his
design against the Prophet until eventually forgetfulness caused himto
lose interest. One of his uncles, however, reminded him of his plan,
praising what he intended to do.
In the pursuit of his evil design against the Prophet, Thumamah metand
killed a group of theProphet's companions. The Prophet thereupon
declared him a wanted man who could lawfully be killed on sight.
Not long afterwards, Thumamah decided to perform umrah. He wanted to
perform tawaf around the Ka'bahand sacrifice to the idols there (The
people of Makkah, before becoming Muslims, placed hundreds of idolsin
the Holy Ka'bah. Theseidols were later destroyed by the Prophet). So
he left al-Yamamah for Makkah. As he was passing near Madinah, an
incident took place which he hadnot anticipated.
Groups of Muslims were patrolling the districts ofMadinah and outlying
areas on the lookout for any strangers or anyone intent on causing
trouble. One of these groups came upon Thumamah and apprehended him
but they did not know who he was. They took him toMadinah and tied him
toone of the columns in the mosque. They waited for the Prophet
himself to question the man and decide what should be done with him.
When the Prophet was about to enter the mosque, he saw Thumamah and
asked his companions, "Do youknow whom you have taken?"
"No, messenger of God," they replied.
"This is Thumamah ibn Uthal al-Hanafi," he said."You have done well in
capturing him."
The Prophet then returned home to his family and said, "Get what food
you can and send it to Thumamah ibnUthal." He then ordered his camel
to be milked for him. All this was done before he met Thumamah or had
spoken to him.
The Prophet then approached Thumamah hoping to encourage him to become
a Muslim."What do you have to say for yourself" he asked.
"If you want to kill in reprisal," Thumamah replied, "you can have
someone of noble blood to kill. If, out of your bounty, you want to
forgive, I shall be grateful. If you want money in compensation,I
shall give you whateveramount you ask."
The Prophet then left him for two days, but still personally sent him
food and drink and milk from his camel. The Prophet went back to him
and asked, "What do you have to say for yourself" Thumamah repeated
what he had said the day before. The Prophet then left and came back
to him the following day. "What do you have to say for yourself?" he
asked again and Thumamah repeated what he had said once more. Then the
Prophet turned to his companions and said, "Set him free."
Thumamah left the mosque of the Prophet and rode until he came to a
palm grove on the outskirts of Madinah near al-Baqi' (a place of
luxuriant vegetation which later became a cemetery for many of the
Prophet's companions). He watered his camel and washed himself well.
Then he turned back andmade his way to the Prophet's mosque. There, he
stood before a congregation of Muslimsand said:
"I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that
Muhammad is His servant and His messenger." He then went to the
Prophet, upon whom be peace, and said:
"O Muhammad, by God, there was never on this earth a face more
detestable than yours. Now, yours is the dearest face of all to me."
"I have killed some of your men," he continued, "I am at your mercy.
What will you have done to me?"
"There is now no blame on you, Thumamah," replied the
Prophet."Becoming a Muslim obliterates past actions and marks a new
beginning."

Islamic Stories - The Story of Jazan

Once Abdullah ibn Masud (ra) was passing by an area in the city of
Qufa. There, a group of wrong doing people have gathered to have a
party. They were engrossed in drinking wine. A singer called Jazan was
entertaining them with songs. Jazan had a very beautiful voice. When
Abdullah ibn Masud heard his voice while passing by, he said in
amazement,"So beautiful is his voice. How wonderful it would be if he
had used that voice to recite the Quran!" After saying this,Abdullah
covered his head with a cloth and left that place. When Jazan noticed
Abdullah ibn Masud leaving, he asked, "Who is that man and what was he
saying?" The people in the gathering told him,"He is Abdullah ibn
Masud, a companion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He said
that your voice is very beautiful. How wonderful it would be if you
had used your voice to recite the Quran!"
Jazan was struck by his comments. He threw away his musical instrument
and ran to Abdullah ibn Masud. The two of them embraced each other and
shed tears profusely. Abdullahibn Masud said to him,"Why should I not
love the one who loves Allah?" Thereafter, Jazan repented to Allah and
stayed in the company of Abdullah ibn Masud tolearn the Quran and
other teachings of Islam. He learned to such an extent that he became
one of the great scholarsof his time.
