they do not want Islam to exalt over every other religion. But Allah

unbelievers detest it. What does to perfect mean? It means to cause
Islam to rule theworld in the perfect sense. The verse refersto and
responds to all those fanatics and hypocrites who do notwant Islam to
rule the world and strive to prevent it doing so. Insha'Allah. But
Islam will rule the world, and they can strive against it all they
like. Allah says that they desire to extinguish Allah's light with
theirmouths, in other words to put the light out by talking. " But
Allah refuses to do other than perfect His Light, even though
theunbelievers detest it ." It is He Who sends His Messenger to make
Islam superior to all other faiths, even if the idolaters do not want
it. When will that happen? It will happen with the coming of the
Messiah. When? Within 15-20 years, insha'Allah, and in the time of
Hazrat Mahdi (as). Allah says this will happen with Hazrat Mahdi (as)
as imam (spiritual leader) and the Messiah as vizier , insha'Allah.
Yes, it will happen no matter who is unwilling for Islam to rule the

The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is not Allah, but a manifestation of Allah

The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is a holy messenger of Allah. The Qur'an
reveals that he is "One of high esteem in this world and the
Hereafter, and one of those brought near [to Allah]." (Surah Al
'Imran, 45) Allah sent the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) to call the community
he lived in to the true path, and revealed the Gospel to him to
distinguish between truth and falsity. This is revealed asfollows in
Surat al-Ma'ida, verse 46:
And We sent Jesus son ofMary following in their footsteps, confirming
the Torah that came before him. We gave him the Gospel containing
guidance and light, confirming theTorah that came before it, and as
guidance and admonition for those who fear [and respect Allah].
By claiming that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is the son of Allah;
Christians cause millions of people to become irreligious

The religion revealed to the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)is "the true
religion, thatwhich believes in Allah, the One and Only." However,
this holy individual's message was distorted following his being taken
into the presence of Allah, with true Christianity being replaced by
"a false belief based on superstitious philosophies," such as that
"The Prophet Jesus being the son of Allah, the Trinity and atonement
for sins." (Surely Allah is beyond all these.) The people who believed
this failed to understand that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is
amanifestation of Allah. The scale of the error into which some
Christians have fallen is revealed as follows in the Qur'an:
People of the Book! Do not go to excess in your religion. Say nothing
butthe truth about Allah. The Messiah, Jesus son ofMary, was only the
Messenger of Allah and His Word, which He cast into Mary, and a Spirit
from Him. So believe in Allah and His Messengers. Do not say, 'Three.'
It is better that you stop. Allah is only One God. He is too Glorious
to have a son! Everything in the heavens and in the Earthbelongs to
Him. Allah suffices as a Guardian. The Messiah would never disdain to
be a servant to Allah nor would the angels near toHim. If any do
disdain to worship Him, and grow arrogant, He will in any case gather
them all to Him. (Surat an-Nisa', 171-172)
Those who say, 'Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,' are unbelievers.
Say: 'Who possesses any power at all over Allah if He desires to
destroy theMessiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone else on
Earth?' The kingdom of the heavens and the Earth and everything
betweenthem belongs to Allah. He creates whatever He wills. Allah has
power over all things. (Surat al-Ma'ida, 17)
As revealed in several verses of the Qur'an, the real Prophet Jesus
(pbuh) is very different to what such people imagine. He is a servant
created by Allah. He is a holy prophet who submitted to our Lord,
someone with lofty moral values and made superior to all the worlds.
He always referred to the sublime might and power of our Lord when
preaching the word, and said that he was a servant of Allah. Just like
the prophets Abraham, Moses (peace be upon them), Muhammad (may Allah
bless him and granthim peace) and all the others, the Prophet
Jesus(pbuh) is a servant and prophet of Allah. He is a created being
possessed of human characteristics.He himself used to pray to Allah.
The concept of trinity in Christianity means polytheism

The Qur'an describes how the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) preached the word
and how he described himself:
He said, "I am the servant of Allah, He has given me the Book and made
me a prophet. He has made me blessed wherever I am and directed me to
do prayerand give alms as long as I live. (Surah Maryam, 30-31)
I come confirming the Torah I find already there, and to make lawful
for you some of what was previously forbidden to you. I have brought
you a Sign fromyour Lord. So have taqwa of Allah and obey me. Allah is
my Lord and your Lord so worship Him. That is a straight path." (Surah
Al 'Imran, 50-51)
To ascribe divine status to the Prophet Jesus (surely Allah is beyond
that) means to fail to properly appreciate the might, greatness and
divine power of our Lord. It is certain that Almighty Allah is
unfettered by any weakness or deficiency. Everything in this world
belongs to Allah, and He is the sole Creator, Power and Force. Allah
reveals this in the Qur'an:
Say: "He is Allah, Absolute Oneness, Allah, the Everlasting
Sustainerof all. He has not given birth and was not born. And no one
is comparable to Him." (Surat al-Ikhlas, 1-4)
Every being other than Allah is a manifestation of Him. Jesus is a
holy prophet who called on our Lord by the finest names.
All Entities Are Manifestations of Allah, and He Enfolds All Beings
Allah created the universe from nothing and has absolute dominion over
it. Everything in the Earth and sky belongs to Him alone. Allah is
everywhere. All mothers and fathers are manifestations of Allah. All
children are manifestations of Allah. All butterflies, birds, trees,
roses and fruits are manifestations of Allah. The planets, suns and
giant universe are manifestations of Allah. The presence of Allah is
manifested in many places and forms. This is the creative artistry of
Allah. Allah has the power to show His infinite might and power in the
manner He chooses in the entity He chooses.
Allah is not separate from His creations. All beings and everything
inthe universe are images of Him. People can neversee Almighty Allah
in person, but they are in constant contact with manifestations of
Him. A person is himself a manifestation of Allah. Almighty Allah
pervades all things in the universe. Allah reveals this in the
following verse:
Allah, there is no god but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. He is
notsubject to drowsiness or sleep. Everything in the heavens and the
Earth belongs to Him. Who canintercede with Him except by His
permission? He knows what is before them andwhat is behind them
butthey cannot grasp any ofHis knowledge save what He wills. His
Footstool encompasses the heavens and the Earth and their preservation
does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Surat
al-Baqara, 255)
Allah reveals His closeness to the manifestations of Him:
We created man and Weknow what his own self whispers to him. We are
nearer to him than his jugular vein. (Surah Qaf, 16)
Our Lord reveals how Hispresence pervades all places:
Both East and West belong to Allah, so wherever you turn, the Face of
Allah is there. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat
al-Baqara, 115)
The Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) superior moral values, his exemplary
behavior, the miracles bestowed on him by our Lord and all the
extraordinary attributes He was blessed with by Allah are all special
manifestations of our Lord. He is a beloved servant of Allah, a holy
prophet who is an intense manifestation of His title of ar-Rahman. The
fact that he was someone who, by Allah's leave, displayed the same
moral values as theangels and behaved in a holy and superior manner
may have led some people to falsely imagine that he is Allah in person
or else the son of Allah (surely Allah is beyond all these). Allah
manifested His extraordinary beauty and sublimity in the Prophet Jesus
(pbuh). The failure of some Christians to properly understand and
grasp this and express it properly, led to the gradual emergence of
opinions far removed from the true essence of the religion.
The fact is, however, that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is only human, a
servant who eats, sleeps,prays to Allah, fears Allahand seeks shelter
in Him,someone created by Allah. He is a holy personbeloved of Allah
and honored and chosen by Him. It must not be forgotten that making
unrealistic and illogical claims about the ProphetJesus (pbuh), ones
far removed from the true essence of the religion, has led a great
many Christians to turn their backs on the faith. Our Christian
brothers must bear this in mind and turn away from all descriptions of
and beliefs concerning the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) that are incompatible
with the true religion.
By Allah's leave, in the End Times in which we are living now the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will return to Earth with all his radiance and
purity, and will be instrumental, together with Hazrat Mahdi (as)
inIslam coming to rule the world. After that, he will come to the end
of his life in this world, die andgo to Paradise, where hewill live as
a manifestation of the infinite and glorious beauty of Allah. It is
Allah, the Baqi, the Almighty, whose infinite being and might enfold
all places.
The Truth about the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) Revealed in the Qur'an
Because of their love for the Prophet Jesus, some Christians make the
error of producing different interpretationsof the excellent features
bestowed on him by Allah's blessing and Allah's manifestation of
Himself as ar-Rahman in this holy prophet. Almighty Allah is One,
thesole Creator, and there isno other god but Him. Allah is the Hayy,
the Creator of the whole universe, living or inanimate. He is always
living, the lord of all things at all times, and He needs nobody and
nothing. But all living things need our Lord in order to survive.
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is an honest person who knows that he needs
Allah, who is eager to discharge his duty as His servant, and who has
sincerely submitted to our Lord. Allah also reveals this
characteristic of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) in the Qur'an:
The Messiah would never disdain to be a servant to Allah nor would the
angels near toHim. If any do disdain to worship Him, and grow
arrogant, He will in any case gather them all to Him. (Surat an-Nisa',
172)
Another verse revealing that the Prophet Jesus is a servant of Allah reads:
He said, "I am the slave of Allah, He has given methe Book and made me
aprophet." (Surah Maryam, 30)
This is how we are told that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is mortal and,
like everyone else, will be resurrected after death in the Hereafter:
Peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die and the day I
am raised up again alive.(Surah Maryam, 33)
Allah created him and made him a messenger charged with telling people
about monotheistic belief. After that, our Lord thwarted all the
cunningsnares of those who plotted against him and raised him into His
presence. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will return to Earth in the End
Timesin which we are living now and complete his work as commanded by
Allah. It is Allah Who has ordained his entire destiny, everything
that will happen to him in hislife and who will cause them to happen
when the moment comes. It is Allah Who creates all the miracles he
works. All the excellent attributes of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) are
manifestations of Allah within him. All the miracles he performed took
place through Allah's mercy upon Him. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
preached his powerful faith in Allah throughout his life and called
people to Allah's true path. His call on people to believe in Allah is
revealed in verse 36 of Surah Maryam:
"Allah is my Lord and your Lord so worship Him. This is a straight path."
True Christians must obey this call of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) as
revealed in the Qur'an and submit to and serve Allah as their one
Lord. There is no doubt that inthese days when the coming of the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is imminent, the best welcome for this holy
prophet will be to exhibit total faith in the belief in Allah he
preached.
As our Lord reveals in the Qur'an; "... He has no partner in the
Kingdom. He created everything and determined it most exactly" (Surat
al-Furqan, 2) Allah is the absolute Lord of the universe and has no
need of any helper. This is revealed in another verse:
And say: "Praise be to Allah Who has had no son and Who has no partner
in His Kingdom and Who needs no one to protect Him from abasement."
And proclaim His Greatness repeatedly! (Surat al-Isra', 111)
With the Coming of the Prophet Jesus, All Christians Will Believe in
This Truth Revealed in the Qur'an
The End Times we are living in is when we will see the coming of the
Prophet Jesus and HazratMahdi (peace be upon them). According to the
Qur'an, hadith handed down from our Prophet (saas) and statements by
great Islamic scholars, the coming of the Prophet Jesus and
HazratMahdi (peace be upon them) is imminent. This holy age will be a
time when Allah is praised across the world as the One and Only, when
people live by the essence of the true religion, an age of plenty,
abundance, well-being, peace and security. It will be known as the
Golden Age.
As revealed in the Qur'an, in this time when the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
returns to Earth, there will not be a singleperson from the People of
the Book (Christians and Jews) who does not believe in him (Surat
an-Nisa', 159). At this time, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will explain
that he is a holy, worthy and superior individual chosen by Allah,
that he is not the son of Allah, and will call on the whole Christian
world toadopt a monotheistic faith by stating that he believes in
Almighty Allah, the One and Only. As our Lord tells us, all
Christians, without exception, will worship Him alone in this time.
By Allah's leave, this timeis now close at hand. All Christians will
clearly hear the truth from the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and will believe
in the truth. The world will be a place when everyone comes together
around a single word, where they live as brothers in peace and

PRESENTER: You say in your books, based on the Qur'an, that the
Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) did not die and that he will, by
Allah's leave, return to Earth. I think that Dan Brown, world
renownedauthor, must have read your books, as he writes,"In my view,
Jesus was not crucified." He says,"There is considerable evidence that
the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified and that he did not believe
he was the son of Allah." What do you think of that?
ADNAN OKTAR: He looks atit very rationally. Of course he was not the
son of Allah. That really is a very childish thing tosay. In other
words, our Christian brothers have caused millions of people to become
irreligious; for that reason alone, millions of young people have
split away from Christianity. How can a human being be Allah? How can
someone who eats, drinks and sleeps, who has physical needs and who
prays to Allah, actually be Him. He may say he is a manifestationof
Allah, that is to say everyone is a manifestation of Allah. Even
though it is perfectly obvious that heis a prophet of Allah, that is
not enough for them, it is not enough for them to say he is a prophet.
Look, love can sometimes have such negative consequences, by which I
mean one should take shelter in Allah from such satanic love, such
love cannot beaccepted. And so they deify him. Whereas love should be
for Allah, and people should be loved as manifestations of Him.This
matter would never have arisen had people loved him as a manifestation
of Allah. Insha'Allah, in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and the
Messiah (pbuh), this corruption, this dissension will all come to an
end. The prophet Jesus (pbuh) will himself explain that there is One
Allah, that Jesus (pbuh) isnot the son of Allah, and that he is
therefore not divine. That is the only way of settling them down. If
we were to tell Christians the truth now,they would not be convinced,
but since the Messiah (pbuh) will be coming and will explain the truth
of the matter personally, their minds will then be put at ease,
insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: How close they [Jews] are very close to Muslims, they say
"Say: 'He is Allah, Absolute Oneness, Allah, the Everlasting
Sustainerof all." And that is really very nice. Surat Al-Ikhlas ,that
is also how their own belief is. The exact same belief stated in the
Surat Al-Ikhlas is applicable for them as well. For example, La ilaha
illa Allahu applies to them, too. Only Christianity has a problem with
that and that is the problem of belief in the trinity. If they do away
with that, insha'Allah, then they will be freed from the scourge of
polytheism. Any other way would be associating others with Allah. If
they have the trinity, that is associating others with Allah. Because
there is only One Allah and that is perfectly clear. Believing in the
One Allah is the basis of faith.The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) prays to
Allah in the Gospel, doesn't he? He himself says he is a servant of
Allah. Consequently if they put it right, then they will befreed from
the scourge of polytheism. But of course Islam is the one true
religion in the sight of Allah according to the Qur'an, and that is
what we believe in, but for a Christian it is Christianity,of course,
and for a Jew it is Judaism, it is Islam for a Muslim. Everyone
regards his own religionas the true one. That is perfectly normal.
Otherwise they would not be living by that faith. That is why we
cannot impose beliefs onone another, we only have to feel respect.

The evolution of the horse series is a fraud

In 1879, two well-knownevolutionists of the time went even further in
their activities intended to constitute evidence for the fictitious
evolution of the horse scenario and set up the equine series that
Darwinists would maintain on the agenda for many years to come. The
American fossil researcher Othniel Charles Marsh and Thomas Huxley
(known as Darwin's bulldog) established a series by setting out
various hoofed fossils on the number of nails on the front and rear
feet and the structure of their teeth. One small mammalfossil
previously named Hyracotherium by Sir Richard Owen in 1841 was renamed
in such a way as to echo evolution, being given the name Eohippus,
meaning "Dawn Horse." The pair published their claims and diagrams in
the American Journal of Science, thus laying the foundations of the
horseseries laid out from Eohippus to the present day in museums and
textbooks as supposed evidence of evolution. The main stages in this
fictitious series were Eohippus, Orohippus, Miohippus, Hipparion and
the present-day Equus.
This fictitious series was portrayed as the greatest supposed evidence
for the evolution of the horse for the following century. The decrease
in the number of toes and the regular increase in size, from smaller
to larger, was enough to convince evolutionists.
Shortly afterward, inconsistencies within the horse series began
manifesting themselves. New fossils dug up and attempted to be
insertedinto the false horse series became a problem. Because
characteristics such as the fossils' location, age and toe number
formed inconsistencies and impaired the series, which turned into an
inconsistent and meaningless mass of fossils in the face of these new
specimens.
Many Darwinists were gradually forced to admit that the Darwinist
horse series scenario was not based on any genuine evidence. In
November 1980 a 4-day conference was held in the Chicago Museum of
Natural History, which was attended by 150 evolutionists and
considered the problemsfacing the theory of evolution. Boyce
Rensberger, who spoke at the conference, described how the horseseries
had no basis in the fossil record and thatno such gradual process as
the evolution of the horse ever happened:
The popularly told example of horse evolution, suggesting a gradual
sequence of changes from four-toed fox-sized creatures livingnearly 50
million years ago to today's much larger one-toed horse, has long been
known to be wrong. Instead of gradual change, fossils of each
intermediate species appear fully distinct, persist unchanged, and
then become extinct. Transitional forms are unknown. [i]
Hyracotherium, placed at the beginning of the so-called horse series,
was originally identified by Richard Owen, an anti-Darwinist. But
later paleontologists sought to conform this creature to evolution.
Another problem in the fictitious evolution of the horse series is
that ofdating. Doctor Nicholas Comninellis comments:
An additional challenge to the proposal of horse evolution is that the
timing is inconsistent. The theory of evolution is based on the
concept that one species is proneto evolve into another because it is
better adapted for survival. This leads to extinction of the first
species. In thecase of horses, the three-toed must not have beenas
hearty as the one-toed. Evolution demands millions of years for
transition to occur between species—plenty of time for the first
species to die out.
However, today we know that the three-toed and one-toed horses lived
together in North America. The fact that varieties of horses
co-existed is completely inconsistent with evolution's explanation.
Add to this the fact that missing links between Hyracotherium,
Miohippus, and Equus have never been identified. Rather than lending
support for evolution, the history of the horse is more consistent
with special creation—fully formed beings that were created
simultaneously. ii
Although the invalidity of the evolution of the horse series has been
brought out into the open day and Darwinistshave admitted this state
of affairs, this mythical series is still used, like other Darwinist
frauds, in Darwinist publicationsand text books. The series is
depicted as concrete fact and placed on display in museums of natural
history curated by world-famous paleontologists and scientists. Dr.
Niles Eldredge, an evolutionistand paleontologist who served as
director of the world-renowned American Museum of Natural History,
admittedsome 20 years ago that evolutionist claims regarding the horse
series on display in his own museum were based solely upon their
powers of imagination. Eldredge also criticized the way that this
speculative series was portrayed as scientific fact in such a way as
to find its way into school books:
I admit that an awful lot of that [imaginary stories] has gotten into
the textbooks as though it were true. For instance, the most famous
example on horse evolution prepared perhaps fifty years ago. That has
beenpresented as literal truthin textbook after textbook. Now I think
that is lamentable, particularly because the people who propose these
kinds of stories themselves may be aware of the speculativenature of
some of the stuff. But by the time it filters down to the textbooks,
we've got science as truth and we've got a problem. iii
Huxley, known as "Darwin's bulldog," was the first theoretician of the
imaginary horse series. The Darwinist Eldredge's analysis is a most
accurate one. Since deliberate distortions represent the essence of
the system of the dajjal, this system engages in all kinds of lies,
deceptions, hoaxes and distortions. All the examples of Darwinist
deception listed above have been exposed, and their false nature has
even had to be admittedby Darwinist scientists. These examples are
sufficient to show the true face of the system of the dajjal. But it
will still be useful to issue thefollowing reminder: the theory of
evolution, Darwinist ideology in other words, is built on alie
intended to deny the existence of Allah. Therefore, all the claims,
suggestions and evidence produced by Darwinism are false. All the
statements to the effect that "proof of evidence has been discovered,"
"living things evolved," "or "human beings are descended from apes"
are lies. Darwinists espouse a lie. Their illogical obedience and
devotion to the system of the dajjal is blind devotion to the religion
of Darwinism solely in order to be able to oppose belief in Allah.
The fact is that they espouse a superstition, aterrible error.
Almighty Allah, the Lord and Creator of All, says in His verses:
If anyone desires anything other than Islam as a religion, it willnot
be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the
losers. (SurahAl 'Imran, 85)
Everyone in the heavens and everyone on the earth belong to Allah.
Those who call on something other than Allah are not really following
their partner-gods. They are only following conjecture. They are only
guessing. (Surah Yunus, 66)

Strength in Faith – a Virtue of the Believers - II

Examples of Strength in Faith in the Lives of the Prophets, may Allaah
exalt their mention
Anyone who reads the books of Sunnah and Seerah (biography), and
reviews the stories of the Prophets and Messengers, will find that
strength in practicing the religion, facing the disbelievers, as well
as in calling others to Allaah The Almighty was evident in their
lives.
Prophet Nooh (Noah) was engaged in Da'wah (propagation to Islam) day
and night, in secret and in open; it was said that he even went to
their homes to preach to them. However, his people would make him
bleed until he would faint; and even then, whenever he would regain
consciousness, he would say to them, "Worship Allaah, for you have no
deity other than Him." For nine hundred and fifty years, he persevered
in his Da'wah and in the end, only a few people had believed in him.
Did he lose heart or discontinue his Da'wah? Never!
In fact, he was ordered to build a ship, which he did on land, knowing
well that Allaah The Almighty would set it to sail and anchor it. So,
whenever someof his people passed by and mocked him, he would simply
respond with what is stated in the verse (which means): {If you
ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.} [Quran
11:38]
Likewise, Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) demolished the idols of his
people, invited his father to Islam, confronted his people and debated
An-Namrood (Nimrod), who dominated the world in his time. He also left
Haajar (Hagar) and Ismaa'eel (Ishmael), may Allaah exalt their
mention, in a desolate place, even set about slaughtering his son in
order to obey the order of Allaah The Almighty, traveled the world,
strove in His cause not fearing any earthly power and openly declared
that he set out to his Lord and His guidance. Allaah The Almighty
describes him, Saying (what means): {Indeed, Abraham was a
[comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to Allaah, inclining toward
truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allaah. [He
was] grateful for His favors. Allaah chose him and guided him to a
straight path.} [Quran 16:120-121]
Similarly, Prophet Moosaa (Moses) challenged Pharaoh who claimed
Lordship and Divinity; he even defied the magicians who were said to
number seventy thousand. Thus, the young woman in Madyan, where he had
set out to, said about him (what means): {O my father, hire him;
surely the most charitable [man] you [can hire is the [one who is]
powerful [and] trustworthy.} [Quran 28:26] The strength of Prophet
Moosaa was evident in his preaching to the Children ofIsrael, patience
with them and invitation of them to adhere firmly to the religion of
Allaah The Almighty, Who quotes him, Saying (what means): {Seek help
through Allaah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allaah. He
causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best]
outcome is for the righteous.} [Quran 7:128] It also manifested in the
manner in which he honored the symbols ofAllaah The Almighty, as well
as when he dropped the Tablets andseized his brother by his hair,
pulling him toward him.
Anyone who reads the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad will, too,find
faith-related strength perfectly highlighted in his Da'wah and
endurance of the harms that his people inflicted onhim and his noble
Companions . Nonetheless, his response was: "If they put the sun in my
right hand and the moon in my left, in order to [make me] abandon this
[mission], I would not do so until Allaah makes it reign supreme or I
perish in its defense."
The disbelievers first made generous offers to him so that hewould
renounce the Da'wah, but he remained persistent. They then
collaborated to kill him, but Allaah The Almighty saved him. He had to
emigrate from the most lovable city to his Lord and to himself, and
yet, he never forsook striving for Him in Makkah or Madeenah.
Not only was he endowed with strength in faith, but also physical
prowess. He was always resolute, even in the heat of battle, so much
so that the courageous among the Companions would even seekrefuge with
him. On the day of the campaign of Hunayn, when Muslims were in the
throes of what seemed like defeat, he continued to declare, "I am the
Prophet, [that is] no lie; I am the son of 'Abdul-Muttalib" until his
Companions gathered aroundhim. He triumphed over Rukaanah, one of the
Arabs famous for his strength, in wrestling, thrice.
The Mother of the Believers, Khadeejah would provide Muhammad with
food, when he would seclude himself to worship Allaah The Almighty in
the cave of Hiraa' for many consecutive nights. This happened before
his Bi'thah (commissioning as a Prophet); indeed, who can do this now?
The righteous predecessors
If we examine the circumstances of the righteous predecessors, we will
also observe their truthful obedience, with power and determination,
and without any change or alteration.
The righteous man mentioned in the Chapter Yaaseen, for
instance,witnessed the death of the messengers, yet, he came from the
farthest end of the city in an attempt to revive the faith and
addressed the people, saying (what means): {O my people, follow the
messengers. Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they
are [rightly] guided.} [Quran 36:20-21]Was he not afraid of being
harmed or killed? Why did he not take [the safety of] his home and
family into consideration? The truth is that he entrusted his affairs
to Allaah The Almighty, convinced that He would not fail His allies
who strictly follow his Sharee'ah in good and bad times.When they took
him and killed him, he advised them then as he would in his lifetime;
Allaah The Almighty quotes him, Saying (what means): {I wish my people
could know. Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the
honored.} [Quran 36:26-27] However, they were worthless in the sight
of Allaah The Almighty as He continues to Say (what means): {And We
did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the
heaven, nor would We have done so. It was not but one shout,
andimmediately they were extinguished. How regretful for the servants.
There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to
ridicule him.} [Quran 36:28-30]
Unwavering faith and profound conviction were the main factors behind
the attitude [and actions] of those known as the Companions of the
Cave, the lone believer in the family of Pharaoh and those thrown in a
ditch because of their faith, as well as the infant 'Abdullaah, among
them.
How else would we interpret the case of Sumayyah, her husband Yaasir
and their son 'Ammaar ? They were tortured in the cause of Allaah The
Almighty and yet, they firmly adhered to His obedience. In the same
way, the disbelievers would put Bilaal under the burning sun with his
back loaded with rocks. Despite that, he would intone: "[Allaah
is]One, [Allaah is] One." A lady known as Umm Tameem would also heat
pieces of iron until they turned red and place them on hishead until
he writhed in pain.
Tortured people on earth are many; some of them have been imprisoned,
killed or banished, while others' heads were even sawed off and yet
others cut withcombs of iron separating their flesh and bones.
However, all thisdoes not cause the strong ones to renounce their
religion.
The Prophet too, suffered many hardships, as none on earth was harmed
like him at thetime. But, he neither faltered nor submitted and would
rather say, "Sufficient for us is Allaah, and Heis the best Disposer
of affairs."
Indeed, this is a call to Muslims torespond to [this attitude of] the
Messenger of Allaah and follow him. We must not believe in a part of
the Quran and disbelieve in its other sections, for anyone who does so
will be subjected to the severest of punishments; and, as Allaah The
Almighty Says (what means): {Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.}
[Quran 28:93]
Let us beware of the traits of hypocrites, who worship Allaah The
Almighty only in times of welfare, as He Says (what means): {And of
the people is he who worships Allaah on an edge. If he is touched by
good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on
his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the
Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.} [Quran 22:11] He also
cautions, Saying (what means): {Those whotake disbelievers as allies
instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through
power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allaah entirely.} [Quran4:139]
Tomorrow, when the Day of Judgment will arrive and anything that was
concealed will be exposed, the hypocrites will be shown their deeds,
which Allaah describes, Saying (what means): {Their deeds are like a
mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he
comes to it, he finds it isnothing but finds Allaah before Him, and He
will pay him in full his due; and Allaah is Swift in account.} [Quran
24:39]
Thus, we will not be excused for our [feebleness that is apparent in
our] amending and replacing the Sharee'ah of Allaah, when even
Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, would say (what means): {It
is not for me to change it on my own accord. I only follow what is
revealed to me.} [Quran 10:15]
We must not take concessions or coercion as pretexts. Life is of
little worth and Paradise is a precious commodity; that is why the
noble free people prefer theirdemise to humiliation. Indeed, death in
the cause of obeying Allaah is far better than a life of defiance.
Regarding the destruction of our enemies, it lies in their boasting of
their power, as Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {As for 'Aad,
they were arrogant upon the earth without right andsaid, 'Who is
greater than us in strength?' Did they not consider that Allaah Who
created them is greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting
Our signs.} [Quran 41:15]
Hence, though our bodies may become frail, our faith and conviction
must not. O servants of Allaah The Almighty! Abide by His religion
with strength and steadfastness, for anyone who retreats, does so only
to the detriment of him/herself. Allaah The Almighty Says (what
means): {And if you turn away, He will replace you with another
people; then they will not be the likes of you.} [Quran 47:38] - -
