What dua' can one say for a person who is sick? For example, a parent
for a sick child? Or for any family member or friend who is ill? Or
even a dua' for a sick person to say for himself?
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has taught us
things in such cases in which there is healing and a lessening of
sickness, as well as reward. That is part of Allah s mercy towards
this blessed ummah and the Prophet's care for it. He is the one whom
Allah described as (interpretation of the meaning):
Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad saws) from
amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any
injuryor difficulty. He is anxious over you; for thebelievers (he is)
full of pity, kind, and merciful. [al-Tawbah 9:128]
Among the things that he taught us are the following:
1 - Reciting al-Faatihah
It was narrated from Abu Sa eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with
him)that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah beupon him)
described Soorat al-Faatihah as a ruqyah, and he approved of the
Sahaabi who recitedit as a ruqyah for the one who had been stung by a
scorpion.
- Al-Bukhaari (2156) and Muslim (2201).
Ibn al-Qayyim said about reciting Soorat al-Faatihah:
"There was a time when I fell sick in Makkah, and I could not find a
doctor or any medicine, so I treated myself by reciting it. I would
take some Zamzamwater and recite it over it several times, then drink
it. I recovered fully by these means, then I beganto do that whenever
I felt alot of pain, and I benefited greatly from it."

2. "Lord of the Magnificent Throne"
The following dua' is givenin "Fortress of the Muslim",to be recited
for one who is ill:
Dua for sickness and ill health
Transliteration: 'As'alullaahal-'Adheema Rabbal-'Arshil-'Adheemi 'an
yashfiyaka.
Meaning: I ask Almighty Allah , Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to
make you well. (Recite seven times in Arabic)
Reference: At-Tirmithi, AbuDawud. See also Al-Albani, Sahih
At-Tirmithi 2/210 and Sahihul-Jami' As-Saghir 5/180.
3 - "You are the Healer"
It was narrated from Aa'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that
when any of us fell sick, the Messenger of Allah (peaceand blessings
of Allah be upon him) would wipe him with his right hand then say: "
Adhhib il-ba's, Rabbi l-naas washfi anta al-Shaafi laa shifaa ailla
shifaa uka shifaa an laa yughaadir saqaman. (Remove the harm, O Lord
of humankind and heal him, for You are the Healer and there is no
healing except Your healing, with a healing which does not leave any
disease behind)."
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5675) and Muslim (2191).
4 - Al Mu'awidhatayn (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Naas)
It was narrated that Aa'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
"If one of his family fell sick, the Messenger of Allah (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) would blow over him and recite
al-Mu'awwidhaat. When he fell sick with his final illness, I started
to blow over him and wipe him with his own hand, because it was more
blessed than my hand."
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5735) and Muslim (2192).
5 - Bismillah and dua'
It was narrated from Uthmaan ibn Abi l- Aas al-Thaqafi that he
complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) about some pain that he had felt in his body since he became
Muslim. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) said to him: "Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts
and say: 'Bismillaah' (in the nameof Allah) three times, then say
seven times: 'I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of
what I find and I fear.'"
- Narrated by Muslim (2202).
6 - "In the Name of Allah I perform ruqyah"
It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with
him)that Jibreel came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said:"O Muhammad, are
you sick?" He said: "Yes." He said: "In the name of AllahI perform
ruqyah foryou, from everything that is harming you, from the evilof
every soul or envious eye may Allah heal you, in the name of Allah I
perform ruqyah for you."
- Narrated by Muslim (2186).
7. - "Allah Who is in heaven"
It was narrated that Abul-Darda (may Allaah bepleasedwith him) said: I
heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings ofAllaah be upon
him) say: "Whoever among you suffers some sickness, orhis brother
suffers some sickness, let him say: 'Our Lord Allah Who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name, Your will is done in heaven and on earth; as
Your mercy is inheaven, bestow it upon the earth. Forgive us our sins.
You are the Lord of the good. Send down Your mercy and healing upon
this pain' ; and he will be healed."

Dua’ for one who is sick
Dua for Anxiety and Stress
Alhamdulillah, here are some dua'a to make whenunder stress and
experiencing anxiety. Theyare a means of dispelling fear, of seeking
forgiveness of Allah, seeking His aid, protection and guidance. They
are the words of the Messenger of Allah (sall'allahu alayhi wasallam)
and hence anyone that sincerely makes these dua during times of great
need Allah will always answer the dua of the sinere seeker. May they
be of benefit to us all for there is not a time in the life of a
believer when he or she does not need the protection, guidance and
mercy of Allah.
And those that turn to Allah sincerely imploring His aid should know
that in reality it is Allah turningto His servant, for, "When Allah
wants to be good to someone, He tries him with some hardship." (Abu
Hurairah)
General advice from Prophet Muhammad (sall'allahu alayhi wasallam)
when youare in distress or suffering from anxiety:
In hadith #599 narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas in Sunan Abu Dawood, The
Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone continually asks pardon,
Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress, and a relief
from every anxiety, and will provide for him fromwhere he did not
reckon.
When in distress or difficulty or sorrow:

1. Ibn 'Abbas reported, "The Prophet, peace be upon him, at times of
sorrow and grief used to supplicate, La ilaha illa Allah Al-'Azim,
Al-'Alim, la ilaha illa Allah, Rabbul 'arshil 'Azim, la ilaha illa
Allahu, Rabbus-Samawati wa rabbul ardi wa rabbul 'arshi karim ( There
is no god but Allah, the Mighty, theForbearing, there is no god but
Allah, the Lord of the mighty throne, there is no god but Allah, the
Lord of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord of the throne of honor
)'."

2. Anas said that when theProphet, peace be upon him, was faced with a
serious difficulty, he wouldalways supplicate, "Ya Hayyu, ya Qayyumu,
bi-rahmatika astaghithu ( O the Living, O the Eternal, I seek help in
Your grace )."

3. Abu Hurairah reported that whenever the Prophet, peace be upon him,
was faced with a serious difficulty, he wouldraise his head to the sky
and supplicate, "Subhan-Allah al-'Azim ( glory be to Allah, the Mighty
)." And when he implored seriously and strongly, he would say, "Ya
Hayyu, Ya Qayyum ( O the Living, the Eternal One )."

4. Abu Bakrah reported that the Prophet, peace beupon him, said, "The
supplications of distress are, 'Allahumma rahmataka arju, fala takilni
ila nafsi tarfata 'ain, wa aslah li sha'ni kullahu, la ilaha illa anta
( O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so give me not over to my self even
for as little as wink of an eye, and set right all my affairs, there
is no god but You )."

5. Asma, daughter of 'Amais, reported that the Prophet, peace be upon
him, asked her, "Shall I tellyou words that you may say in times of
pain or distress. These are, 'Allah, Allah, Rabbi la ushriku bihi
shai'an ( Allah, Allah, my Lord, I associate none with Him )." Another
narration says that these words should be said seven times.

6. Sa'd ibn Waqas reportedthat the Prophet, peace beupon him, said,
"The supplication made by the Companion of the Fish (Prophet Yunus) in
the belly of the fish was, 'La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu
minadh-dha limin ( thereis no god but You, You are far exalted and
above all weaknesses, and I was indeed the wrongdoer )'. If any Muslim
supplicates in these words, his supplication will be accepted."
In another report we read, "I know words that will cause Allah to
remove one's distress. These are the words (of supplication) of my
brother Yunus, peace be upon him."

7. Ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet, peace beupon him, said, "If
any servant of Allah afflicted with distress or grief makes this
supplication, his supplication will be accepted: ' O Allah, I am Your
servant, son of Yourservant, son of your maidservant. My forehead is
in Your hand.Your command conceming me prevails, and Your decision
concerning me is just. I call upon You by every one of the beautiful
names by which You have described Yourself, or which You have revealed
in Your book, orhave taught anyone of Your creatures, or which You
have chosen to keepin the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make
the Qur'an the delight of my heart, the light of my breast, and
remover of my griefs, sorrows, and afflictions '." A supplication in
these words will be answered. Allah will remove one's affliction and
replace it with joy and happiness.

Can Dua Change Qadar?
What is the relationship between Dua (Supplication) and Qadar (Divine
Predestination)? Can Dua change Qadar?
Here's an answer from the scholars at IslamOnline.net:

Dear scholars, As-Salamu`alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. I know
that belief in the Qadar (Divine predestination) is a prerequisite for
sound faith. However, I'dlike to know if there is any conflict between
theQadar and Du`a'? How can the Du`a' influence one's Qadar, which is
already predetermined by Allah, Most High. Jazakum Allah Khairan.
Answer:
Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

In Islam Du`a' is the essence of worship as stated in an authentic
Hadith. Qadar (Divine predestination) is a pillar of faith in Allah,
as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned when asked
byAngel Jibril (Gabriel), peacebe upon him, about Iman (faith),
saying: "It is to believe in Allah, His angels,His Books, His
Messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in Divine predestination,
both the good and the evil thereof."(Reported by Muslim)
The eminent Muslim scholar, Dr. `Atiyyah `A. Lashin, Professor of
Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University, states:
"Qadar, or Divine predestination is of two kinds:
1. Unconditional predestination
2. Conditional predestination.
Du`a' has nothing to do with the first kind, while itmay change the
second one. This ruling is based on the Hadith that reads:"Nothing
could change theQadar except Du`a'."
(Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 5, Hadith no. 277; Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Vol. 3,
Hadith no. 139; and classified as Hasan (good) Hadith by Al-Abaani in
Sahih Al-Jami`, Hadith no. 7687)"
Shedding more light on this issue, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi , former
president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and member of
the Fiqh Council of North America, answers:
"Du`a' has great power; it can change many things. We should always
pray to Almighty Allah and should never give up hope in the acceptance
of Du`a'. Du`a' is the most important act of worship. It does not mean
that we or any other human or jinn have power, but it means that
Allah, the Almighty, has power and He can do whatever He wills. Du`a'
is the recognition and acknowledgement of our dependence upon Allah,
Most High, and our deep faith that He can change anything. There are
many verses in the Qur'an and many Hadiths that emphasize the
importanceand necessity of Du`a'. TheProphet, peace and blessings be
upon him, said, "Du`a' benefits in the things that have happened as
well as the things that have not happened yet. The calamity comes
down, but the Du`a' confronts itand they may continuously wrestle
until the Day of Resurrection." (Reported by Al-Hakim.)
In another Hadith, it is reported that the Prophet,peace and blessings
be upon him, said, "Nothing can change the Qadar except the Du`a'…"
This Hadith is reported by several authorities on Hadith, such as Imam
Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, Al-Hakim, and Ibn Majah… etc. Most of the scholars
ofHadith consider it an acceptable Hadith.
There is no contradiction between our faith in the power of Du`a' to
Allah and in our belief in the Qada' and Qadar of Allah. Scholars have
explained that there are two types of Qada' (Allah's Decrees):
a. those that are known asQada' Mubram (absolute decrees);
b. and those that are known as Qada' Mu`allaq (conditional decrees).
The absolute decrees do not change, but the conditional one may change
if and when the conditions are fulfilled. Such decrees are based on
the fulfillment of causes, as well as Du`a'. However, it is important
to keep in mind that every thing is inthe pre-existent knowledge of
Almighty Allah. The knowledge of Allah, Most High, does not change,
but the conditional decrees may change. Allah Almighty says in the
Qur'an: "Allah effaceth what He will, and establisheth (what He will),
and with Him is the source of ordinance." (Ar-Ra`d: 39)
Some people raise this question: if Allah Almightyknows the future and
His knowledge is always true, then things must happen according to His
knowledge. Then how can there be change and how can we say that we
have freedom? Actually, Muslim scholars have pointed out that
knowledge (`Ilm) is an illuminative, but not necessarily always an
effective, attribute. Allah the Almighty does know everything, but in
whatever areas He has given us freedom to act, we do act freely.

Best Times for Dua’
There are certain times dua (supplication) is more likely to be
accepted by Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) as mentioned by Prophet
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam). These times areas follows:
1. The Last Third Of The Night
Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that Allah'sMessenger
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: 'In the last third of every night our
Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) (Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala)) descends
to the lowermost heaven and says; "Who is calling Me, so that I may
answer him?Who is asking Me so that may I grant him? Who is seeking
forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?."' [Sahih al-Bukhari,
Hadith Qudsi]
Amr ibn Absah narrated that the Prophet said: 'Theclosest any
worshipper can be to His Lord is during the last part of the night, so
if you can be amongst those who remember Allah at that time, then do
so.' [at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, al-Hakim - Sahih]
2. Late at night
When people are sleeping and busy with worldly pleasures Allah
(Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) gives the believers an opportunity, or an answer
hour if they can fight sleepand invoke Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) for
whatever they need.
The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: 'There is at night an
hour, no Muslim happens to be asking Allah any matter of this world or
the Hereafter, except that he will be given it, and this (occurs)
every night.' [Muslim #757]
3. Between Adhan and Iqamah
Anas (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that Allah's Messenger (salAllahu
alayhi wasalam) said: 'A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqama
is not rejected.' [Ahmad, abu Dawud #521,at-Tirmidhi #212, Sahih
al-Jami #3408, an-Nasai and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (sound)]
4. An Hour on Friday
Narrated Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu): Allah's Messenger (salAllahu
alayhi wasalam) talked about Friday and said: 'There is an hour on
Friday and if a Muslim getsit while offering Salat (prayer) and asks
something from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala), then Allah (Subhanahu wa
Ta'ala) will definitely meethis demand.' And he (the Prophet
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam) pointed out the shortness of that
particular time with his hands. [Sahih al-Bukhari]
Some have said that this hour is from the time the Imam (prayer's
leader) enters the mosque on Friday's prayer until the prayer is over
(ie between the two khutbahs), whereas others have said that it is the
last hour of the day (ie after the Asr prayer until the Maghrib
prayer).
(Note: when we say an hour here we do not meanthe hour everyone knows
(60 minutes) but an unspecified period of time because the time
counters which we use today came after the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi
wasalam)had died.
5. While Drinking Zamzam Water
Jaber (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that Allah's Messenger (salAllahu
alayhi wasalam) said: 'Zamzam water is for whatit is drunk for.'
[Ahmad 3: 357 and Ibn Majah #3062]
This means that when youdrink Zamzam water you may ask Allah
(Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) for anything you like to gain or benefit from
this water such as healing from illness…. etc.
6. While Prostrating
Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that Allah'sMessenger
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam), said: 'Thenearest a slave can be to his
Lord is when he is prostrating, so invoke (supplicate) Allah

When a Muslim is in his Salat (prayer) he is facing Allah (Subhanahu
wa Ta'ala) and when he prostrates he is the nearest he can be to Allah
(Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) so it is best to invoke Allah (Subhanahu wa
Ta'ala) at this time. It is said that while in prostration, one
should not ask for worldy needs (ie a nice car, a new job, etc), but
for the Hereafter.
7. When Waking Up at Night
Narrated Ubada Bin As-Samit that Allah's Messenger (salAllahu alayhi
wasalam) said: 'Whomever wakes up at night and says La ilaha illallahu
wahdahu la shrikalahu lahulmulku, wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli
shai'in qadir. Alhamdu lillahi, wa subhanallahi wala ilaha illallahu,
wallah akbir, wa la hawla wala quwata illa billah (none has the right
to be worshipped but Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) He is the only one
who has no partners. His is the kingdom and all the praises are for
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) All the glories are for Allah (Subhanahu
wa Ta'ala) And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah
(Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) and Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) is the most
Great and there is neither might nor power except with Allah
(Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) and then says, Allahumma ighfir li (O Allah!
Forgive me) or invokes Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala), he will be
responded to and if he makes ablution and performs Salat (prayer),
hisSalat (prayer) will be accepted (Buhari)/
accepted by Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) as mentioned by Prophet
(salAllahu alayhi wasalam). These times areas follows:

Amazing Power of Dua ~ The dua can change our life, our outlook, and our fate. It is themost potent weaponof a believer.
Once Prophet Muhammad (sal-Allahu-alayhi-wa-sallam) passed by a people
who were suffering from some affliction. "Why don't theymake dua
(prayer) to Allah for protection?" he said. With all the suffering and
disasters Muslims are facing in various parts of the world, the
question can be directed to all of us today.
It is not that we have forgotten dua completely; we refer to it
regularly. But our ideas and practice regarding dua have become
distorted. Often it is reduced to the level of aritual. Generally it
is considered when all our efforts have failed --- an act of last
resort. It is belittled through actions and sometimes even with words.
Is it any wonder that today mostly a mention of dua is meant to
indicate the hopelessness of a situation?
What a tragedy, for dua is the most potent weapon of a believer. It
can changefate, while no action of ours ever can. It is the essence of
ibadah or worship. With it we can never fail; without it we can never
succeed. In the proper scheme of things, dua should be the first
andthe last resort of the believer, with all his plans and actions
coming in between.
The most empowering conversation
Dua is conversation with Allah, out Creator, our Lordand Master, the
All Knowing, the All Powerful.This act in itself is of extraordinary
significance. It is the most uplifting, liberating, empowering, and
transforming conversation a person can ever have. We turn to Him
because we know that He alone can lift our sufferings and solve our
problems. We feel relievedafter describing our difficulties to our
Creator. We feel empowered after having communicated with the All
Mighty. We sense His mercy all aroundus after talking to the Most
Merciful. We get a new commitment to follow His path for that is the
only path for success. We feel blessed with each such commitment.
Our first and last action
In every difficulty our first action is dua, as is our last.We ask
Allah to show us the way to handle that difficulty; we seek His helpin
following the path He shows to us; we seek His aid in making our
efforts successful. When we fall sick, we know that we cannot find the
right doctor without His Will; that the best doctor may not be able to
diagnose our condition without His Command; that the best treatment
plan will not succeed without His Permission. We make dua for all of
these. We make dua before we seek medical help, while we arereceiving
it and after it hasbeen delivered.
The essence of worship
Dua is the essence of ibadah. A person engaged in dua affirms his
belief in Tawheed (monotheism) and shuns belief in all falsegods. With
each dua his belief in Allah grows. He beseeches Him, affirming his
own powerlessness. A person seriously and sincerely engaged in dua
understands exactly the relationship between himself and the Creator
and affirms it through his actions. That is the essenceof worship!
Additionally, such a person can never become arrogant or proud, a
logical result of true worship.
Our most potent weapon
Dua is our most potent weapon in all struggles of life as well as in
jihad in the battlefield. During the battle of Badr, the
ProphetMuhammad stood up all night in prayer seeking Allah's help in
the battle between unequal armies that would follow the next day. In
the decisive battles against the crusaders, Sultan Salatuddin Ayyubi
was busy day and night. His days were devoted to Jihad. His nights
were spent making dua, crying, seeking Allah's help. This has been the
practice of alltrue mujahideen.
Big and small
We should make it a pointto make dua for all things big and small. It
is the beginning of wisdom to realize that big and small are arbitrary
labels that are totally irrelevant in this context. Nothing is too big
for Whom we are asking from; nothing is too small for the one who is
asking. That is why we have been taught to ask Allah when we need
something as small as shoelaces. We should ask as a beggar, as a
destitute person, for that is what we in reality are in relationship
to Allah. At the same time we should ask with great hope and
conviction that we shall begranted our prayers. We should remember the
Hadith: "There is nothing more dear to Allah than a servant making dua
to Him." On the other hand, aprayer lacking concentration and
conviction is no prayer at all.

in unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua
in days of ease and comfort."

"And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed
close: I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant
when they call on Me" - Quran 2:186
1. Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come and
keep us safe from the torment of the Fire (2:201)
2. Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance and make our foothold sure and give us
help against those who reject faith. (2:250)
3. Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or fall into error. (2:286)
4. Our Lord! Lay not upon us such a burden as You did lay upon those before us.

5. Our Lord! Impose not onus that which we have notthe strength to bear,

and take our souls in the company of the righteous. (3:193)

us forgiveness

SIGNS OF QIYAMAH
According to a hadeeth appearing in Sahih Muslim, Sayyidena Abi Zaid
(R.A.) says, "Rasulullah (SallallahuAlayhi Wasallam) once led the Fajr
Salaat after which he ascended the pulpit andaddressed us till Zuhr
Salaat. He alighted from the pulpit, performed Zuhr Salaat and
ascended the pulpit. He then addressed us till Asr and descended from
the pulpit. He performed Salaat and ascended the Mimbar. He then
addressed us till sunset. (In these sermons) He informed us about
those incidents which had occurred as well as those which are yet to
occur. Those with stronger memories amongst us remembered most of
them."

Salaat. He alighted from the pulpit, performed Zuhr Salaat and
ascended the pulpit. He then addressed us till Asr and descended from
the pulpit. He performed Salaat and ascended the Mimbar. He then
addressed us till sunset. (In these sermons) He informed us about
those incidents which had occurred as well as those which are yet to
occur. Those with stronger memories amongst us remembered most of
them."

Does anyone need proof that the processes of personal growth and
socialchange both start with books? Consider the first revealed verses
of the Quran itself, in Surah 96, Al-'Alaq:
1. Read in the name of your Lord Who created.
2. He created humankind from a clot.
3. Read and your Lord is Most Honorable,
4. Who taught (to write) with the pen
5. Taught the human being what he knew not.
The moment of the first revelation of the Quran to the Prophet

possibly the most significant moment inhuman history. It follows that
the message is one of great significance as well.

Allah exalted and honored human beings by giving us knowledge, the
capacity to acquire more knowledge, and the tools to record andshare
our knowledge, whether verbally or in print. He commanded us tomake
use of these tools, and to do it in Allah's nameso that our motives
and methods remain pure, and so that the results will be beneficial to
humanity and not destructive or oppressive.
We are supposed to use our knowledge to create vaccines for diseases,
not to create deadly viruses forbiological warfare. We should use
nuclear power to generate clean energy, not to design bombs that can
destroy nations. We must use robotic technologies to create artificial
limbs for victims of war or accidents, or to explore the depths of the
sea, or to clear old minefields without loss of life, or to rescue
miners trapped deep underground… not to build hunter-killer drones
that destroy innocent human lives while the operator moves a joystick
a thousand miles away.
Knowledge must be employed "in the name ofyour Lord Who created," not
in the name of greed or vengeance.
This is especially importanttoday, when fantastically powerful
technologies are being developed every day.Supercomputers,
nanotechnology, genetic engineering, cloning, quantum physics… If
these technologies are not tempered with faith and wisdom, humanity
could unleash horrors on the world that will make previous wars and

significantlyreduce mortality by lowering treatment failure in
children suffering from serious infections such as pneumonia and
meningitis,according to a study.

supplement were 40 per cent less likely to experience treatment
failure and their risk of death was reduced by 43 per cent.

the others a placebo. It was funded by the Department of Biotechnology
under the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

an appearance on the balcony with those who represent the future of an
institution she has nourished - Charles,Camilla, William, Catherine
and Harry. It doesn't harm that at a time of austerity it'll be an
image of just six royals which will be beamed around the world.
The woman who wasn't born to be queen has now reigned for 60 years.
It's a landmark achievement andnow possibly also a bitter-sweet
occasion as well.

... It is narrated byAbu Musa that the Prophet (SAW) said, "The
example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like
abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil
that absorbed rain-water and brought forth vegetation and grass in
abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain-
water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for
drinking, (making their animals drink from it) and to irrigate the
land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could
neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then the land was
of no benefit). The firstis the example of the person who comprehends
Allah's Religion and gets benefit from the knowledge which Allah
hasrevealed through me and learns and then teaches it to others. The
(last example is that of a) person who does not care for it and does
not take Allah's Guidance revealed through me (He is like the barren
land.)" (Bukhari). Through the above narration, the Prophet (SAW) is
telling us of the superiority of religious knowledge. This is the
knowledge that we should give priority to. All other knowledge will
not be of benefit if we do not have this one. First and foremost,
comes the knowledge of Allah. Knowing His names and Hisattributes.
Knowing what isexpected of us in regard to our servitude to Him, and
what mutual rights exist between us. Secondly, we should strive to
know Allah's Book, the Qur'an. We should learn to read it in Arabic,
if we don't already know how to do so. We should also be trying to
memorize as much of it as possible, and stressing the importance
ofboth of these things to our children. Reading the Qur'an should be
something commonplace in every Muslim home, and is an activity that
the whole family can, and should participate in. Thirdly, we should
know about the Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam, and his
companions. It's by readingtheir stories that we learn of their
bravery, love for the Deen and their complete devotion to Allah.It's

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ A profound respect for Allah is a sign of genuine faith
A profound respect for Allah, the religion, the Qur'an, our Prophet
(saas), the angels and all our spiritual values is an important sign
of genuine faith. Allah described in the Qur'an how the prophets and
true believers stood in respectful awe of Him and remembered him with
awe, how their hearts were softened by fear of Him, and how they came
with a sound and pure faith through their profound fear. Therefore,
all Muslims must be scrupulous and punctiliouswhen it comes to
remembering Allah, in speaking of our Prophet (saas) and all the other
prophets, and in discussing religious matters.
Language that is disrespectful of Allah will impose a heavy
responsibility in the Hereafter and also have a negative impact on
peopleof weak or no faith who hear it. Every Muslim must carefully
avoid talking in any such way.
BELIEVERS' PROFOUND RESPECT FOR ALLAH
(Believers are) those WHO ARE FILLED WITH THE FEAR of their Lord.
(Surat al-Muminun, 57)
(People of intelligence are)those who join what Allah has commanded to
be joined and are AFRAID OF THEIR LORD and fear an evil Reckoning.
(Surat ar-Rad, 21)
Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and WHO HOLD
THE HOUR (OF JUDGMENT)IN AWE. (Surat al-Anbiya', 49)
We responded to him and gave him John, restoring for him his wife's
fertility. They outdid one another in good actions, calling outto Us
in yearning and in awe, and HUMBLING THEMSELVES TO US. (Surat

paltry price. Such people will have their reward with their Lord. And

Islam, who foolishly adopt a mocking tone or who behave in such a way
as to weaken people's love and respect for Allah in this world will be
able to do none of these things when they are brought into His
Presence and will seriouslyregret their actions.

On that day they will follow the Summoner whohas no crookedness in
himat all. VOICES WILL BE HUMBLED BEFORE THE ALL-MERCIFUL AND NOTHING
BUT A WHISPER WILL BE HEARD. On that Day intercession will not be of
any use except for him whom the All-Mercifulhas authorized and with
whose speech He is well pleased. (Surah Ta Ha, 108-109)
You will see them as they are exposed to it, ABJECT IN THEIR
ABASEMENT, glancing around them furtively. Those who believe will say,
'Truly the losers are those who lose themselves and their families on
the Day of Resurrection.' The wrongdoers are in an everlasting
punishment. (Surat ash-Shura, 45)
'Be moderate in your tread and LOWER YOUR VOICE. THE MOST HATEFUL OF
VOICES IS THEDONKEY'S BRAY.' (Surah Luqman, 19)
Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that THE CALLER
WILL CALL (THEM) TO A TERRIBLE AFFAIR. They will emerge from their
graves with DOWNCAST EYES , like swarming locusts, necks outstretched,
EYES TRANSFIXED, RUSHING HEADLONG TO THE ONE WHO SUMMONS. The
unbelievers will say, 'This is a pitiless day!' (Surat al-Qamar, 6-8)
THEIR EYES WILL BE DOWNCAST, darkened by debasement; for they were
called on to prostrate when they were in full possession of their
faculties. (Surat al-Qalam, 43)
Do not consider Allah to be unaware of what the wrongdoers perpetrate.

"Who are you? What makes you special? What isthe legacy that you've
builtand shared with others (self, family, community and the world)?
If we died today, what would our obituaries say? What have we done for
GOD and GOD'speople lately? What is our mission and vision, and arewe
living it? If we died today, what would our obituaries say?" – Hanan

This is what it's all about. I heard someone say recently that only
two things can happen with thewealth you accumulate in this life:
either it leaves you, or you leave it. Wealthis not a legacy. Having
fun is not a legacy. Helping a company to sell useless products is not
a legacy.
Making a difference in the lives of human beings, relieving the
suffering of even one person, raising righteous and happy children,
leaving behind knowledge that benefits people, making the world
abetter place, those are legacies.
I have not met the sister who is quoted at the top, but I have read
some of her writings. Whenever I hear her name I think of being
responsible, taking care of my family, loving my children and bringing
them up right, making a difference in the community, following my
dreams… that is a legacy. She has already created a vital legacy.
I have another friend whose name is Ismail. He isso humble
ma-sha-Allah, and as a friend he is the most discreet and
closed-mouthed person I know, by which I mean he never speaks badly
about anyoneelse, and never reveals anyone's secrets or violatestheir
trust. When I think of him, I am inspired to emulate him. That is his
legacy, and it's an important and valuable one.
More than twenty years ago I knew a brother named Qawiy. His life was
hard, but every time I met him he'd give me a big smile and an
enthusiastic handshake. He wore a kufi and carried a folded musalla
(prayer rug) on his shoulder, so he could pray whenever salat time
arrived, no matter where he was. Kind of quirky, but also inspiring.
All these years later, just the thought of Qawiy brings a smile to my
face, and reminds me of the importance of doing salat on time. That's
a legacy! SubhanAllah.
I could name many more people who have affected me in positive and
critical ways. I will always remember them, even afterthey are gone,
Insha'Allah. They have created lasting legacies.
Of course we don't even have to speak of the Prophets (peace be upon
them), and the Messenger of Allah (sws), and the Sahabah (may Allah be
pleased with them). Their legacies shine like the moon and stars and
will illuminate human history for all time.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ How a Muslim Should Live in a Non-Muslim Land in Light of Surah Yūsuf [1]
Indeed, the principle is that the Muslim should prefer an Islamic land
so as to establish the rights of his religion, but circumstances may
force him or her to live in a non-Muslim land. And Islam, being a
religion thatprovides guidance for all aspects of human life, has
addressed this issue. Numerous texts within Islamic literature have
expounded on the topic ofMuslims living in non-Muslim lands, and
thestory of Prophet Yūsuf ( 'alayhi al-salātu wa al-salām ) serves as
an ideal source of reference for such a discussion. The Prophet Yūsuf
was forced to leave the land of the Prophets, the land where his
father Ya'qūb resided and where the Heavenly Law was being applied.
Due to the betrayal of his brothers, Yūsuf was taken as a slave by a
caravan and eventually purchased by a minister of Egypt known by the
title al-'aziz .
The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay
(among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall
adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish [i.e. give authority to]
Yūsuf in the land..." [Yūsuf (12):21]
The hint within this ayah is that a person may not be able to gain
authority in his own land but may acquire it in another. This brings
us to the question of how Yūsuf conducted himself in this
non-Muslimland.
The most obvious challenge that faces the Muslim in such a
land is how to cope with the non-Islamic values within society that
inevitably led to a prevalence of fawāhish [3] and thus conflict or
clash with one'sfaith. Certainly, falling into this fawāhish is easy,
but itwas just as easy in the time of Yūsuf ( 'alayhi al-salātu wa
al-salām ) as the ayah on Yūsuf's encounter with the wife of al-aziz
illustrates:
And she, in whose house he [Yūsuf] was, sought to seduce him. She
closed thedoors and said, "Come, you." He said, "I seek refuge in
Allah. Indeed, he (your husband) is my master, who has made good my
residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will never prosper." [Yūsuf (12):23]
It is not fitting for the Muslim who believes in Allah and the Last
Day to come near obscenity. The Prophet Muhammad ( sul Allahu 'alayhi
wa salim) mentioned seven people who will be shaded by Allah on the
Day of Judgement; [4] among them is a man who turns away from the
temptationand seduction of a womanwith beauty and status, saying "I
fear Allah." It is upon the Muslim to fear Allah in every gaze and in
every instance he or she is alone. And living in an environment where
the opportunities to sin are manifold, if a Muslim is notcareful, he
or she may not only fall into a sin or two but perhaps may reach a
stage of being immersed in sinning, such that one abandons repentance.
Soon, a love for these sins develops and by this the Muslim leads him
or herself astray.
And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided them until
He makes clear to them what they should avoid. [At-Tawba (9):115]
The Muslim who abandons having taqwa and does not repel the fawāhish ,
his or her heart may start to see the evil asgood, perhaps even
leading him or herself out of the pail of Islam.
So it is incumbent on the Muslim to strive against the fawāhish and
constantly seek the help ofAllah. The Quran relates how Yūsuf (
'alayhi al-salātu wa al-salām ) sought the help of his lordin his
situation:
And if You do not avert from me their [evil] plan, I might incline
toward themand [thus] be of the ignorant. So his Lord responded to him
and averted from him their plan. [Yūsuf (12):33-34]
The desires and lusts are great and numerous, but they remain trifling
in the eyes of the believer, the one who is sincere to Allahand
trusting in His assistance.
Thus it was, that We might ward off from him evil and lewdness.
Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants. [Yūsuf (12):24]
So if the Muslim turns to Allah in supplication and with sincerity,
seeking refuge in Him, Allah will surely protect Him. Thus, the first
thing a Muslim must do in this society is to confront the fawāhish
that he or she faces and strive to overcome them.
After the Muslim is rendered victorious against his or her desires, it
is upon him or her to exemplify high Muslim morals, manners, and
character while living in this society, as the ProphetMuhammad ( sul
Allahu 'alayhi wa salim) instructed, "Treat the people with good
manners." It has been established that Yūsuf ( 'alayhi al-salātu wa
al-salām ) was innocent of what he was accused of, yet he was
oppressed, accused unjustly and put in jail where he stayed with two
youth.
And there entered the prison with him two young men.

In 2007, South African Grant Horsfield found Sanjiuwu, a farming
hamlet on the bamboo clad Moganshan Mountain to the west of Shanghai,
where he rented some underused farmhouses and converted them into
guesthouses. Thus, the Naked Retreats were born,marking the rising of
low-carbon tourist sites onthe Moganshan Mountain, a national scenic
spot in Zhejiang Province.
In 2009, Grant invested 200 million yuan (31.5 million U.S. dollars)
to build another resort not far from Sanjiuwu, while in 2011, French
businessman Christophe Peres also built a resort, LePassage Mohkan
Shan.
According to local tourism authorities, there are now 35 similar
resorts in the Moganshan area, built by investors of over 10 foreign
countries. These resorts were built with local natural materials, such
as bamboo, wood and stone, and they advocated healthy, eco-friendly
lifestyle, providing a rural refuge from the stresses and strains of
city living and office work, thus attracting a large number of foreign
businessmen and white-collar workers.
In October 2010, Deqing County was awarded the"low-carbon tourism
model county" at a tourism summit in Beijing,capital of China.

In 2007, South African Grant Horsfield found Sanjiuwu, a farming
hamlet on the bamboo clad Moganshan Mountain to the west of Shanghai,
where he rented some underused farmhouses and converted them into
guesthouses. Thus, the Naked Retreats were born,marking the rising of
low-carbon tourist sites onthe Moganshan Mountain, a national scenic
spot in Zhejiang Province.
In 2009, Grant invested 200 million yuan (31.5 million U.S. dollars)
to build another resort not far from Sanjiuwu, while in 2011, French
businessman Christophe Peres also built a resort, LePassage Mohkan
Shan.
According to local tourism authorities, there are now 35 similar
resorts in the Moganshan area, built by investors of over 10 foreign
countries. These resorts were built with local natural materials, such
as bamboo, wood and stone, and they advocated healthy, eco-friendly
lifestyle, providing a rural refuge from the stresses and strains of
city living and office work, thus attracting a large number of foreign
businessmen and white-collar workers.
In October 2010, Deqing County was awarded the"low-carbon tourism
model county" at a tourism summit in Beijing,capital of China.

often happens in marriage. When people's love and respect is based on
these values, they can lose these feelings quickly when circumstances
change. This is almost inevitable when love, respect, and loyalty
depend on one's beauty, wealth, health, job, or status, for when these
temporary and superficial characteristics disappear, so will the other
person's love. Someone who follows such criteria will find no reason
to continueto love and honor his or her spouse when the basisfor those
values is lost.
Belief, fear and respect of Allah, and decency of character are what
make love, respect, and loyalty endure. Someone who loves his or her
spouse for their belief and character will, in married life, be
respectful, loyal, and decent. Losing one's youth, health, or beauty
will not affect the love andconsideration among spouses for each
other, and neither will losing one's wealth or social status. They
will not cause trouble or discontent to the other person because of
their firm belief and fear and respect of Allah, whatever the
circumstances. Believers will always be gentle and compassionate, as
well as fair and tolerant, for they will consider this to be a
responsibility entrusted tothem by Allah. Islamic morality has a very
high opinion of women and seeks to prevent them from suffering any
difficulties or hardships. Thus, believing men safeguard the rights of
women and are most considerate toward them.
So close is the marital relationship that the Qur'an says of the
spouses: "They are clothing for you, and you for them" (Surat
al-Baqara: 187). In this verse, Allah reminds people that each spouse
has equal responsibilities. The word "clothing" stands for the
responsibility of guarding and protecting one another and also
suggests that men and women have complementary qualities.
Another verse states the importance of love and compassion in
marriage: "Among His Signs is that He created spouses for you of your
own kind, sothat you might find tranquillity in them. And He has
placed affection and compassion between you. There are certainly Signs
in that forpeople who reflect" (Surat ar-Rum: 21). Believers consider
their spouses to be gifts that Allah has given into their care, and
therefore value one another greatly. They show affection and
compassion when their spouse makes a mistake or falls short in some
way, and know that behaving according to the Qur'an will help them
overcome all difficulties and solve their problems. As a
result,marriage helps both spouses find contentment and peace.
With the phrase "you have been intimate withone another" (Surat
an-Nisa': 21), Allah proclaims the closeness and intimacy of married
life. The secret of this closeness, intimacy, and valuing of each
other is their intention to create an everlasting togetherness that
will extend into the Hereafter. True loyalty and love requires this
attitude. Since their love is neither selfish nor temporary, but
intended to be everlasting,they are completely loyal, close, honest,
and intimatewith one another.
Qur'an's morality forms the basis for a marital relationship based on
togetherness, one in which both parties fear and respect Allah and
follow His morality. In such a relationship, each person's loyalty,
faithfulness, love, sincerity,tolerance, and modesty complement and
support the other person. Such a marriage is stable and long-lasting.
The marriages of people without these qualities, onthe other hand, are
short-lived.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ Solution to inequality between men and women: the values of the Qur'an
In societies devoid of real justice, the inequality of women and men
is a serious social issue posing major problems. In many countries
around the world, women are often treated as second-class citizens and
even outcasts.Perceived as weak and protection-seeking beings,they are
often abused. For the same reason, they do not hold a role in society
that commands respect or authority.
In societies where such prejudices prevail, a woman with a
remarkablecareer in business life hardly finds acceptance. Generally,
women are regarded as people who lack self-confidence and
determination, and who have poor intellectual faculties. This
rationalization of a"woman-stereotype" in society wrongly serves as an
explanation for every mistake a woman makes. In reality, such mistakes
are not peculiar to womenbut are universal among human beings.
Among candidates applying for job vacancies,men are usually favored
over women, even if they possess exactly the same backgrounds,
intelligence and skills. This tendency explains why there are limited
opportunities available to women in business life.
On the other hand, the majority of women identify with this image
attributed to them. This identification makes them readily assume the
inferiorroles assigned to them in many societies.
Prejudices in social life towards gender differences have striking
consequences in underdeveloped countries.Let alone their entitlementto
education and work, they are even deprived of making their own
decisions about marriage. All sorts of women's personal decisions rest
either with their fathers orhusbands.
There is an on-going effortto provide solutions to these flawed
implementations only a few of which have been included here.
Associationsfounded to protect women's rights, concepts such as
freedom and equality or the feminist movement or seminars, panels and
discussions have not contributed much towards a workable solution. All
these efforts prove that these solutions inherently breed more
complications. This is a natural consequence since the real solution,
as in all other domains, is unique: adherence to the Qur'an.
In a society adhering to the Qur'an and the Sunnah, no prejudicial
distinction is made between the individuals ofa society whether
women,men, wealthy, poor, youngor old. Social standing, profession,
wealth, or gender do not make people enjoy particular privileges. The
good deedsone engages in and one's fear of Allah distinguish one, as
is alluded to in the verse "Take provision, but the best provision is
fear of Allah." (Surat al-Baqara: 197) In the Qur'an, people are not
classified prejudicially as men or women. Allah addresses both men and
women having faith in Him and engaging in gooddeeds. Allah stresses
the importance of living by the values He commands. In that respect,
being maleor female has no significance. Some of the verses stressing
this are asfollows:
The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. They
command what is right and forbid what is wrong and perform prayer and
give the alms, and obey Allah andHis Messenger. They are the people on
whom Allah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. Allah has
promised the men and women of the believers Gardens with rivers
flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, for ever, and fine
dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah's good pleasure is even
greater. That is the great victory. (Surat at-Tawba: 71-72)
Men and women who are Muslims, men and women who are believers, men
and women who are obedient, men and women who are truthful,men and
women who are steadfast, men and women who are humble, men and women
who give in charity, men and womenwho fast, men and women who guard
their private parts, men and women who remember Allah much: Allah has
prepared forgiveness for them and an immense reward. (Surat al-Ahzab:
35)
Anyone, male or female, who does right actions and is a believer, will
enter the Garden. They will not be wronged by so much as the tiniest
speck. (Surat an-Nisa': 124)

HADEES - ~
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "If my Ummah bears
fifteen traits, tribulation will befallit." Someone asked, "What are
they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "When any gain is shared out
only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor; when atrust becomes
a means of making a profit; when paying Zakat becomes a burden; when a
man obeyshis wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend
kindly whilst shunning his father; when voices are raised in the
mosques; when the leader of a people is the worst of them; when people
treat a man with respect because they fear some evil he maydo; when
much wine is drunk; when men wear silk; when female singers and
musical instruments become popular; when the last ones of this Ummah
curse the first ones - then let them expect a red wind,or the earth to
swallow them, or to be transformedinto animals." [Tirmidhi]
This hadith lists some of the evils that will befall theUmmah in its
last days. Because of our committing these sins we will deserve to be
punished. It is scary to see how many of these sins are now rampant
amongst Muslims.
The first sin mentioned is that the wealthy will keep wealth among
themselves exclusively, not letting it circulate and benefit the poor.
Look at current tax laws and you will see this to be true. Another
manifestation of this sin is the invitation of rich relatives to
celebrations but not poor ones. This is also a way of keeping
goodthings among the rich only,as it excludes the poor from even
benefiting from a meal.
When people hold certain positions but only do their job when they are
bribed, this amounts to using a trust to make a profit. Holding a
position of responsibility is a trust/amanat, but we see politicians,
government servants and many others, instead bent on profiteering.
Another example of using a trust to make a profit is the practice of
banks loaning out to others on interest the money that people keep as
safekeeping with them.
The third trait mentioned in this hadith is that zakat will become a
burden. This is also evident today. How many people happily give
zakat, despite it being a purification of wealth and source of great
reward with Allah (subhana wa ta'ala)?
A man obeying his wife in preference to his mother is also a sin. This
is provided that neither of them is asking him to do something haraam
or that which compromises any other's rights. There is no obedience if
that obedience entails disobedience of Allah's prescribed rules and
laws.
Unfortunately, we also see among Muslims today that friends take
precedence over family, although rights through kinship are highly
stressed in Islam. We also see people raising their voices in mosques
in argumentation and quarrels. The worst of a people being the leader
of that nation also appears to be the case in many Muslimmajority
countries around the world. Consequently, people are afraid of the
evilof their leaders and despitetheir wickedness thus treatthem with
respect.
As for the last four traits: Many members of the Muslim Ummah are
gripped in the vice of drinking alcohol; many don't think much of the
sin of men wearing silk; female singers and music are entrenched in
the popular culture of Muslims;and some deviant sects also engage in
the repulsive sin of bad mouthing the first generation of Muslims.
We need to seriously repent and ask Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) to
saveus from the punishments that befall the sinful.

only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor; when atrust becomes
a means of making a profit; when paying Zakat becomes a burden; when a
man obeyshis wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend
kindly whilst shunning his father; when voices are raised in the
mosques; when the leader of a people is the worst of them; when people
treat a man with respect because they fear some evil he maydo; when
much wine is drunk; when men wear silk; when female singers and
musical instruments become popular; when the last ones of this Ummah
curse the first ones - then let them expect a red wind,or the earth to
swallow them, or to be transformedinto animals." [Tirmidhi]
This hadith lists some of the evils that will befall theUmmah in its
last days. Because of our committing these sins we will deserve to be
punished. It is scary to see how many of these sins are now rampant
amongst Muslims.
The first sin mentioned is that the wealthy will keep wealth among
themselves exclusively, not letting it circulate and benefit the poor.
Look at current tax laws and you will see this to be true. Another
manifestation of this sin is the invitation of rich relatives to
celebrations but not poor ones. This is also a way of keeping
goodthings among the rich only,as it excludes the poor from even
benefiting from a meal.
When people hold certain positions but only do their job when they are
bribed, this amounts to using a trust to make a profit. Holding a
position of responsibility is a trust/amanat, but we see politicians,
government servants and many others, instead bent on profiteering.
Another example of using a trust to make a profit is the practice of
banks loaning out to others on interest the money that people keep as
safekeeping with them.
The third trait mentioned in this hadith is that zakat will become a
burden. This is also evident today. How many people happily give
zakat, despite it being a purification of wealth and source of great
reward with Allah (subhana wa ta'ala)?
A man obeying his wife in preference to his mother is also a sin. This
is provided that neither of them is asking him to do something haraam
or that which compromises any other's rights. There is no obedience if
that obedience entails disobedience of Allah's prescribed rules and
laws.
Unfortunately, we also see among Muslims today that friends take
precedence over family, although rights through kinship are highly
stressed in Islam. We also see people raising their voices in mosques
in argumentation and quarrels. The worst of a people being the leader
of that nation also appears to be the case in many Muslimmajority
countries around the world. Consequently, people are afraid of the
evilof their leaders and despitetheir wickedness thus treatthem with
respect.
As for the last four traits: Many members of the Muslim Ummah are
gripped in the vice of drinking alcohol; many don't think much of the
sin of men wearing silk; female singers and music are entrenched in
the popular culture of Muslims;and some deviant sects also engage in
the repulsive sin of bad mouthing the first generation of Muslims.
We need to seriously repent and ask Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) to
saveus from the punishments that befall the sinful.
