DON'T CONFUSE WITH AL-AQSA MOSQUE

Whenever Mosque Al-Aqsa is mentioned in the media, it shows the
picture of Mosque (Dome of the Rock).
QUESTION COMES "WHY" ?
The main reason for that is the Zionist Conspiracy to erase from the
memory of Muslims worldwide, the true picture of Mosque Al-Aqsa.
Many Muslims and Non-Muslims publish the incorrect picture of
MosqueAl-Aqsa out of ignorance.
What is worse than this is that many Muslims today, display the
picture of the Dome of the Rock in their homes and offices, as it were
Mosque Al-Aqsa.
The real tragedy is that generations of Muslim children (as well as
many adults) around the world, are unable to differentiate between
Mosque Al-Aqsa and The Dome of the Rock.
What do you think is goingto happen if Mosque Al-Aqsa is destroyed and
removed from the present landscape.
Obviously, you might not expect much, since everyone will see the Dome
of the Rock still standing, unharmed.
People will incorrectly believe that nothing has changed and that
something else was destroyed.

Glorified be He (Allâh). Whotook His slave (Muhammad SAW) for a
journey by nightfrom Al-Masjid-al-Ha râm tothe farthest mosque, the
neighborhood where of wehave blessed, in order that we might show of
our signs. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. Surah
Al-Isra'(17) verse:1
Now forward this to all, so as to inform them of the TRUTH.
وَقُلْ جَاء الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا
And say: 'Ttuth has come and Falsehood has vanished. Surely!
Falsehoodis ever bound to vanish.' Surah Al-Isra'(17) verse:81

Did You Know About Al-Aqsa Mosque
• Masjid Al Aqsa was the second Masjid on earth
• It was built 40 years afterthe Ka'ba in Makkah
• Most scholars are of the opinion that Masjid Al Aqsa was first built
by Prophet Adam.
• Ibrahim (as) rebuilt the Masjid Al Aqsa in Jerusalem as he and
Ismail rebuilt theKa'ba in Makkah.
• Prophet Daud (as) began the rebuilding of Masjid Al Aqsa.
• It was Prophet Sulayman (as) who finally completed the building of
Masjid Al Aqsa.
• Masjid Al Aqsa built by Sulayman (as) was destroyed in 587 BC by
Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon.
• The Jews call this same Masjid Al Aqsa built by Sulayman as their Temple.
• The Jews re-built their Temple on them same site in 167 BC but was
destroyed in 70 AD and Jews banished from Jerusalem.
• The site of Masjid Al Aqsa remained barren and was used as a rubbish
tip for nearly 600 years until the Great Khalifah Umar bin Khattab
liberated Jerusalem in 637/8 AD.
• The Khalifah Umar bin Khattab began the foundation of Masjid Al Aqsa
and a timber mosque was built.
• The Umayyad Khalifah, Abd' al Malik ibn Marwan in691/2 [72/73 AH]
began the construction of, Dome of the Rock - today this is the Golden
Domed Mosque.
• The al Buraq wall or Western Wall where Prophet Muhammad tied his
animal the Buraq on the night journey of al Isra is what the Jews call
the wailing wall.
• To Muslims it is the land or the Haram Sharif area which is most
holy and important.
• The Haram area of Al Aqsa has within it the Masjid Al Aqsa [Black
Domed Mosque] and Dome of the Rock [the Golden Domed Mosque].
• Israel occupied Masjid Al Aqsa in 1967.
• That, the fundamentalist Jews have made 100's of attempts to destroy
Al Aqsa since 1967 when theyoccupied it. A fire in 1967 started by
their help destroyed the 900 year oldMimbar installed by Slaudeen

Question: "What are some reasons for the animosity between Christians
and Muslims? Can Christians reconcile with Muslims?"
Answer: On September 11, 2001, the world entered the age of terror.
The terrorists wage cruel atrocities in the name of Islam. Christians
wonder how to respond to the threat. To their reproach, some fearfully
spurn all Muslims as terrorists. Others compromise truth to show
acceptance. Both approaches dishonor God.
Christians must understandtheir differences with Muslims so they can
respond with truth and love. First, let's prayerfully examine how to
overcome some of the initial barriers between Muslims and Christians.
1. Muslims are offended by Western secularism
As global technology shrinks the world, Muslims feel threatened by
Westernculture: immoral movies, pornography, immodest dress, vile
music, and rebellious teens. Western culture threatens the Islamic
faith, worldview, and lifestyle. They equate this Western culture with
Christianity.
Christian response : Befriend Muslims and explain how Western culture
is no longer Christian but secular. Further, not all who claim to be
Christians are true followers of Christ. Show by word and action an
example of a true Christian:"Keep your conduct amongthe Gentiles
honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may
see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation" (1 Peter
2:12).
2. Muslims are resentful of Western dominance
Some countries of the Westhave a history of colonialism and
interference, which Muslims resent. While some approve of the war on
terror, other Muslims bitterly object. Many also feel betrayed by the
West's"favoritism" of Israel, which displaced thousands of
Palestinians.
Christian response : Demonstrate genuine love and humility by prayer
andservice. Focus on Christ—not political controversies. God will one
day restore justice. In the meantime, He provides government leaders
to protect the good and punish the wrongdoer (Romans 13:1-7).
"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate
with the lowly. Never be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but
give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible,
so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never
avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is
written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.' To the
contrary, 'if your enemy is hungry, feedhim; if he is thirsty, give
him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on
his head.' Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"
(Romans 12:16-21).
"Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know
that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be
quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring
evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant
them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may
escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do
his will" (2 Timothy 2:23-26).
3. Militant Muslims act onwar verses in the Qur'an
While many Muslims are peace-loving, others interpret the Qur'an as
giving them divine permission to convert or kill non-Muslims.
Christian response : Sadly,some Christians fearfully despise Muslims.
But the Lord gives the perfect neutralizer to fear and hatred: His
love.
"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18a).
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell"(Matthew
10:28).
"But I say to you who hear,Love your enemies, do good to those who
hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you"
(Luke 6:27).
Jesus didn't promise His followers a life free of suffering. Instead,
He assured, "If the world hatesyou, know that it has hatedme before it
hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its
own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the
world,therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to
you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted
me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also
keep yours. But all these things they will do toyou on account of my
name, because they do not know him who sent me" (John 15:18-21).
While some misunderstandings can be cleared with Muslims, the main
offense is . . . Jesus Christ! (See 1 Peter 2:4-8.) The truth about
the Lord and Savior must not be compromised. Muslims reject God the
Father who sent His Son to die for sinners. Most deny both
thenecessity and historicity of Christ's death.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ Types of Diseases That Attack the Heartand Their Cure

... both are mentioned in the Qur'an. Allah says about the disease of
doubt: "In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and
Allah has increased their disease." (2:10) And He said: "...and that
those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers
may say: 'What Allah intends by this (curious) example?'" (74:31)
Allah says concerning those who refuse to make the Qur'an and Sunnah
the basis of their judgments: "And when they are called to Allah
(i.e., His Words, the Qur'an) and His Messenger, to judge between
them, lo!a party of them refuses (to come) and turns away. But if the
truth is on their side, they come to him willingly with submission. Is
there a disease in their hearts? Or do they doubt or fear lest Allah
and His Messenger should wrong them in judgement? Nay, it is they
themselves who are the Dhalimoon (polytheists, hypocrites and
wrongdoers)." (24:48-50) This is the disease of doubtand error. Also,
Allah says about desire and lust, adultery in this case: "O wives of
the Prophet! You are not likely any other women. If you keep your duty
(to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose hearts is a
disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved
with desire..." (33:32) ... Providing proper remedies for ailments of
the heart (referring to spiritual and emotional ailments) only occurs
at thehands of the Prophets, alaihim as salam, and Messengers of
Allah. The heart becomes well when it acquires knowledge of itsLord
and Creator and in His Names, Attributes, Actions and Commandments.
The heart also becomes well when it prefers acquiring Allah's Pleasure
and preferswhat He likes, all the while avoiding His prohibitions and
what might lead to Hisdispleasure. There is no life,health, or
wellbeing for theheart except by this method, which only the Me...

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ The Qur'an addresses men and women in the same manner

Every society knows all of the traditional arguments about women's
ideal role and place. Their social status and importance in the
family, whether or notthey should work, and other social issues have
been discussed seemingly forever. For Muslims, theseissues were
settled by the Qur'an: Men and women are equal. The facts that men and
women have different physical builds and that women are generally
weaker than men are irrelevant and cannot be used to reduce women's
value.
What truly matters in Islamic morality is not whether someone is male
or female, but whether or not he or she is a believer who fears and
respects Allah. Each believer is expected to strive to live by the
Qur'an's morality, for the results of this struggle are what Allah
values and will measure inthe Hereafter. Allah revealsthe qualities
that all Muslims, male or female, should have:
The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. They
command what is right and forbid what is wrong, keep up prayer and
give the alms [ zakat ], and obey Allah and HisMessenger. They are the
people on whom Allah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
(Surat at-Tawba: 71)
As Allah reveals, all Muslims, regardless of their gender, have the
same responsibilities: to worship Allah, live according to the
Qur'an's morality, command good and prevent evil, and abide by the
Qur'an's rules.Allah promises everyone who fears and respects
thelimits that He has established for humanity that He will give them
the ability to distinguish right from wrong:
O you who believe! If you have fear of [and respect] Allah, He will
give you discrimination, erase your bad actions, and forgive you.
Allah's favor is indeed immense. (Surat al-Anfal:29)
Any man or woman who acts on the impulses of theintellect derived from
belief can achieve success in many areas. This depends on their will,
motivation, and persistence. Believers never rest on their laurels,
for it is part of Islamic morality to always strive to be more
intelligent, talented, responsible, and virtuous, as well as to seekto
always improve upon their character. Allah reveals that believers
prayto Him for a character thatwill make them role models for those
around them:
Those who say: "Our Lord, give us joy in our wives and children, and
make us a good examplefor those who guard against evil. " (Surat
al-Furqan: 74)
Islam states that men and women are totally equal. For both of them,
it all depends on their ability toexceed what is expected of them by
realizing the full potential of their character and personality, and
by fulfilling their responsibilities. For this reason, believing women
do not struggle for equality with men, but exert themselves in the
race to do good, defined inthe Qur'an as the effort to win Allah's
good pleasure. For this end, they race to become the person most loved
by Allah so that theymay win His good pleasure and be the nearest to
Him. Allah reveals that these efforts determine the Muslim's
superiority over others in this life as well as in the Hereafter:
Such people are truly racing toward good things, and they are the
first to reach them. (Surat al-Mu'minun: 61)
Then We made Our chosen servants inherit the Book. But some of them
wrong themselves,some are ambivalent, and some outdo each other in
good by Allah's permission. That is the great favor. (Surah Fatir: 32)
The equality between menand women is also seen inthe fact that Allah
gives them equal rights in this world:
We made everything on Earth adornment for it sothat We could test them
to see whose actions arethe best. (Surat al-Kahf: 7)
Every soul will taste death. We test you with both good and evil as a
trial. And you will be returned to Us. (Surat al-Anbiya': 35)
In the above verses, Allah reveals that He tests men and women so that
they can show who is better. Inanother verse, He says that He will
test men and women with various trials until the day they die, and
that those who show patience will be rewarded with His mercy:
We will test you with a certain amount of fear and hunger, as well as
loss of wealth, life, and fruits. But give good news to the steadfast.
(Surat al-Baqara: 155)
Allah gave each man and woman a fixed number of years, holds them both
responsible for their choices, gave them a senseof right and wrong,
and made their base instincts and Satan their enemies. And whoever
shows strength of character and works for good in the face of these
realities here on Earth will receive the best rewards from Allah in
bothworlds:

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ Our Christian brothers and sisters should also see the importance of the inward meaning

The words of Allah are open, clear, concise and wise. But our Almighty
Lord hides in His words sometimes clear judgments and
sometimesmeanings open to interpretation. In order to fully understand
the latter,one must look with an eyeof faith at the deep meanings and
secrets inside these wise words.
Our Almighty Lord gives these deep meanings sometimes in similes and
metaphors. For example inone verse in the Qur'an, Hereveals, "Hold
fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate..." (Surah
Al 'Imran, 103), in another verse, "As for those who deny Our Signs
and are arrogant regarding them, the Gates of Heaven will not be
opened for them, and they will not enter the Garden until a camel goes
through a needle's eye. …" (Surat al-A'raf, 40).These verses might be
taken by some and interpreted literally. But infact, both of these
metaphors are very wise expression methods and they have hidden
meanings which humans can dig deeper into when they think more. Our
Lord, with the "rope of Allah," clearly wants people to hang tight
with Allah and His path, and be persistence with it. Again our Lord,
with the expression "until a camel goes through a needle's eye,"
states that those who are mentioned in the verse will not be allowed
into Heaven – unless Allah wills otherwise. This is such a deep and
beautiful way of expression. But in order to properly understand this,
one needs to contemplate the inward meaning.
This situation, as well as the Qur'an, is also applicable with the
Torah and the Gospel. For example in a passage fromthe Gospel, our
Lord's expression of deep wisdom that needs to be interpreted inwardly
is as follows:
This is why I speak to them in parables: " Though seeing, they do not
see; though hearing,they do not hear or understand." In them is
fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never
understanding; you will be ever seeing but neverperceiving. For this
people's heart has become calloused; 
they hardly hear with their
ears, and they have closed their eyes. 
Otherwise they might seewith
their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts 
and
turn, and I would heal them.' (Matthew 13:13-15)
It is possible to give similar examples from the Torah:
"Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see! … You haveseen many things,
but youpay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen."
(Isaiah 42:18, 20)
The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, you are living among a
rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to
hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people."(Ezekiel,
12:1-2)
These expressions mentioned in the Gospel and the Torah, of course,
are not physical blindness or deafness. What is emphasized here is the
spiritual blindness and spiritual deafness. Even though the evidence
for the existence of Allah is shown before their eyes, even though
these evidences are always in front of them, people mentioned in these
words simply do not appreciate Him. Allah condemns thesespiritually
blind and deaf people.
If this blindness and deafness are understood literally, this will
certainly bring false interpretations with them. In order to escape
such mistaken interpretations, it is important to be able to
comtemplate the inward meaning. That is because Allah, with these deep
meanings, gives people great and important messages, and conceals in
them secrets that will leadpeople to the right path.
The inward meaning of the word "son" in the Gospel must be considered
First it should be noted that the lack of understanding the inward
meaning is encountered ina variety of ways in Islam, in Judaism and
also in Christianity. So this should not be considered as a matter
about some Christians alone. However, here only this subject's aspect
related to Christiansis described.
The ability to understand the inward meaning is important in terms of
the errors some of our Christian brothers and sisters have fallen in.
That is because the belief that has been held for years that the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is the son of Allah (Surely Allah is beyond that)
is a dangerously erroneous interpretation that occurs due to a lack
ofthis understanding. The expression "son of Allah" in the Gospel is
taken as its literal meaning withouthaving properly thought of the
deeper meaning it states.
In fact the word "son" here is an expression of spiritual closeness to
Allah,love, election, and friendship. It is a quite deep expression
Allah used for a servant of His whom He loved and chose.

ISLAMIC ARTICLE :- ~ The Christian belief that their sins can beredeemed through the blood of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)is a huge error

The belief that the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) died in order
toexpiate the sins of all Christians and that death lies at the
remission of sins is a very mistaken belief. In order to see the error
in this belief, our Christian brothers need to reconsider Allah's
justice and the purpose behind creation by using their minds and
consciences, and to bear in mind the following points:
* The idea that people are born in a state of sin is a violation of
Allah's infinite justice:
Everyone comes to this world to be tested. A person has a
responsibilityto spend every rational second serving Allah and living
for His approval in the very limited amount of time bestowed on him.
Allah says in one verse of the Qur'an:
He Who created death and life to test which of you is best in action.
He is the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving. (Surat al-Mulk, 2)
Therefore, a person whomAllah created from nothingis tested from the
momenthe enters this world and will be held to account for all he does
in it. People's sin or merit is based on the sincere actions they
perform in this world. It is impossible, under the law of Allah, for a
baby, unaware even of its own existence and who has notbegun to be
tested and who has only just opened his eyes on the world, to be in a
state of sin.
* It is a violation of the infinite justice of Allah for a person to
assume the sins of another and to suffer for them:
It is impossible in the system of testing created by Allah for anyone
to redeem the sins of anyoneelse, even if that person is the Prophet
Jesus (pbuh). Everyone who exists or has ever existed in the world IS
RESPONSIBLE ONLY FOR HIMSELF. Neitherhis parents nor his relatives nor
the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) CAN ASSUME responsibility for his sins.
NOBODY WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for the deedsof anyone else. NOBODY
CAN REDEEM ANYONE ELSE. When the moment of death comes everyone,
Christians included, WILL GIVE ACCOUNT, ALL ALONE and in the Presence
of Allah, for what they did in this world. Allah has revealed this in
the Qur'an:
There is no one in the heavens and earth who will not come to the
All-Merciful as a slave. Hehas counted them and numbered them
precisely. Each of them will come to Him on the Day of Rising all
alone. (Surah Maryam, 93-95)
Almighty Allah has also revealed in the Qur'an thatnobody will be able
to assume the sins of another:
Say: 'Am I to desire otherthan Allah as Lord when He is the Lord of
all things?' What each self earns is for itself alone. No
burden-bearer can bear another's burden. Then you will return to your
Lord, and He will inform you regarding the things about which you
differed.(Surat al-An'am, 164)
...That no burden-bearer can bear another's burden;that man will have
nothing but what he strives for; that his strivingwill most certainly
be seen; that he will then receive repayment of the fullest kind...
(Surat al-Najm, 38-41)
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is Allah's beloved servant and prophet. It is
a terribleviolation of good conscience to maintain that Allah took the
soul of a holy servant beloved of Him because of the irresponsible
behavior, sins and excesses of those who came after him; it is
afailure to properly appreciate Allah. It is a matter of great urgency
for our sincere Christian brothers to realize the major error here.
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) did not die and was not killed, Allah
thwarted the plots of thedeniers and took the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
alive into His Presence.

* The Prophet Jesus (pbuh)did not die:
Another important point that completely rebuffs the idea in question
is the fact that the Prophet Jesus(pbuh) did not die. The Prophet
Jesus (pbuh) was raised into the Presence ofAllah. He is alive in body
and spirit and was protected and taken into the sky in a state of
sleep. By itself this fact totally rebuffs the claim that 'The Prophet
Jesus (pbuh) died as a redeemer of sins." For some mindsets, that see
no other solution than thedeath of the Prophet Jesus(pbuh) for the
redemption of their own sins, and that maintain that his death
prevented all of mankind from perishing, the fact that the Prophet
Jesus (pbuh) is still alive no doubt comes as a great shock. But this
is a definitefact. Those who fail to properly avoid sin by imagining
that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will redeem their sins, who areflexible
when it comes to what Allah has made unlawful or who do not regard
abiding by the obligations imposed by the religion of which they are a
member as a matter of all that much importance are making a grave
error.

THERE IS GREAT WEALTH AND SPLENDOR
Seeing them, you see delight and a great kingdom.. (Surat al-Insan, 20)
They will be reclining on couches lined with rich brocade, the fruits
of the Gardens hanging close to hand. (Surat ar-Rahman, 54)
THERE ARE RIVERS
An image of the Garden which is promised to those who guard against
evil: in it there are rivers of water which will never spoil and
rivers of milk whose taste will never change and rivers of wine,
delightful to all who drink it, and rivers of honey of undiluted
purity; in it theywill have fruit of every kind and forgiveness from
their Lord. Is that like those who will be in the Fire timelessly, for
ever, with boiling water to drink which lacerates theirbowels? (Surat
al-Muhammad, 15)
THERE ARE SPRINGS
In them are two clear flowing springs. (Surat ar- Rahman, 50)
The heedful will be amid shade and fountains. (Surat al-Mursalat, 41)
In it there is a flowing spring called Salsabil.. (Surat al-Insan, 18)
THERE IS GREENERY
Shaded by spreading branches. (Surat ar-Rahman, 48)
Of deep viridian green.. (Surat ar-Rahman, 64)
IT IS NEITHER HOT NOR COLD, AND THERE IS JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SHADE
But as for those who believe and do right actions, We will admit them
into Gardens with rivers flowing under them,remaining in them
timelessly, for ever and ever. In them they will have spouses of
perfect purity and We will admit them into cool, refreshing shade.
(Surat an-Nisa, 57)
Reclining in it (the Garden)on couches, they will experience there
neither burning sun nor bitter cold.. (Surat al-Insan,13)
THEY LIVE IN LOFTY HALLSAND FINE MANSIONS
As for those who believe and do right actions, We will lodge them in
lofty chambers in the Garden, with rivers flowing under them,
remaining in them timelessly, for ever. How excellent is the reward of
those who act.. (Surat al-Ankabut, 58)
But those who have fear of their Lord will have high-ceilinged Halls,
and more such Halls built one above the other, and rivers flowing
under them.That is Allah's promise. Allah does not break His promise..

Reclining in it (the Garden)on couches, they will experience there
neither burning sun nor bitter cold.. (Surat al-Insan,13)

THERE ARE PILLOWS AND EXQUISITE COUCHES
They will be reclining on couches lined with rich brocade, the fruits

(In the Garden are) lined-up cushions, spread-out rugs.... (Surat

THERE ARE THE FINEST CLOTHES AND ADORNMENTS
And (Allah) will reward them for their steadfastness with a Garden and
with silk. (Surat al-Insan,12)
They will wear green garments of fine silk and rich brocade. They will
be adorned with silver bracelets. And their Lord will give them a pure
draught to drink. (Surat al-Insan,21)
But Allah will admit those who believe and do right actions into
Gardens with rivers flowing under them where they will be adorned with
gold bracelets and pearls, and where their clothing will be of silk.
(Surat al-Hajj, 23)
FOOD AND DRINK IN PARADISE
They are given the choicest sealed wine to drink. The seal thereof
willbe Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:
(Surat al-Mutaffifin, 25-26)
And a cup full (to the brim). (Surat an-Naba', 34)
The truly good will drink from a cup mixed with thecoolness of
camphor, a spring from which Allah's servants will drink, making it
gush forth at will abundantly. (Surat al-Insan,5-6)
Sweet fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity,
(Surat as-Saffat, 42)
(In Gardens of Delight, believers will have) a cup from a flowing
spring passing round among them. Crystal-white, of a taste delicious
to those who drink (thereof), Free from headiness; nor will they
suffer intoxication therefrom. (Surat as- Saffat, 45-47)
With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of
clear-flowing fountains: No after-ache will they receive therefrom,
nor will they suffer intoxication: And with fruits, any that they may
select: And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. (Surat
al-Wakia, 18-21)
(They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, Among Talh trees with
flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- (Suratal-Wakia, 28-29)

Islamic Heaven

S ome so called modern Islamic apologists often try to fool the
western infidels that Islam is a verysimple religion and Islam never
lures Muslims with erotic heavenly pleasures. Nothing could be
furthest from the truth then this ridiculous claim of Islamists. Let's
examine very closely the facts about Islamic heaven.
If we research on the heavens of world's five famous religions this is
what we can learn: Both Judaism and Christianity talk about heaven but
do not describe what is in there! Hinduism talks about heaven and give
some earthly material pleasures but does not go any further. Buddhism
does not believe in after-life, and do not have any hell or heaven.
They believe hell and heaven exists on this earth.
But Islam emphatically describes many forms of heavens (at least 8 of
them with various status/classes) with plentyof earthly greed's and
lusting/erotic pleasures which not many human beings (made of soil)
can refuse to get it. Muslims devoutly pray at least five times (some
pray even 10 times) a day, visit Mekka and fawns Pirs and Darbishes
(Saints) just to get the ultimate ticket for those lustful happiness
of heavens.
In my childhood I asked our Huzur (Imam of the Mosque) what exactly
will be the likes of heavenly rewards from Allah for which all Muslims
are fawning Allah by five times prayers per day, andfasting for one
month. TheImam shaheb replied: " after your death you will be
resurrected again as an healthy young man of25 year old. There in the
heaven you will be givenbeautiful Houris/Gillman,wine, and plenty of
foods to eat. You will stay young for ever and death, disease will
nevercome near you again ." Folks, all those Islamic Mullahs,
Maoulanas, all those Jihadis of Kashmir, Palestine , Osama-Bin-Laden's
terrorist gang, and all other gullible Muslims ardently believe just
that.
Islamic Allah and Prophet Muhammad frequently promised believers of
Islam with lustful heavens and erotic pleasures of various kinds which
we shall encounter later in this essay. Holy Quran got hundreds of
such verses, and myriad's of Sahih Hadiths dealing Houris andwine and
sex for those pious Muslims. Truth of the matter is myth
(superstitions), sex and violence are the main pillars of Islam. Below
are some samples of divine promises from the MercifulAllah and
Compassionate Prophet of Islam.
Quranic verses ( Translated by Maolana A.Yousuf Ali ) that promises
Heaven with Houris, Sex, and Wine forthe pious Muslims :
Quran-(52:17-20): "They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged
in ranks. And We shall marry them to Huris (fair females) with wide
lovely eyes." "There they shall pass from hand to hand a (wine) cup,
free from any Laghw…."
Quran: (37:40-48): …they will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as
chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.
Quran: (44:51-55): Yes andwe shall wed them to dark-eyed houris
(beautiful virgins).
Quran: (55:56-57): In themwill be bashful virgins neither man nor Jinn
will have touched before. Thenwhich of the favours of your Lord will
you deny?
Quran-(55:72): "Hur (beautiful, fair females) guarded in pavilions;"
Quran: (78:31): "As for the righteous, they surely triumph. Their
gardens and vineyards and high-bosomed (pointed breast) virgins for
companions, truly overflowing cup"
Quran-(78: 33-34):"And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of
equalage, and a full cup of wine."
Quran-(55:57-58): "Then which of the blessings of your lord will you
both (jinn and men) deny? (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral".
Quran-(56:7-40): " …we created the houris and made them virgins,
loving companions for those on the right hand…."
Quran-(55:70-77): " In each there shall be virgins chaste and
fair….dark eyedvirgins sheltered in their tents whom neither man or
Jinn have touched before…"
Quran-56:22: "And (there will be) Huris with wide, lovely eyes (as
wives for the pious)"
Quran-(56: 35-36): "Verily ,We have created them (maidens) of special
creation. And made them Virgins."
Quran- (55:56): "Wherein both will be Qasirat-ut-Tarf (chaste females
restraining their glances,desiring none except their husband) with
whom no man or jinni has had tamth before them."
Quran: (2:25): "And give glad tidings to those who believe and do
righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers
flow (Paradise)……….and they will be given these things in resemblance
(i.e., in the same form but different intaste) and they shall have
therein Azwajun Muhtahharatun (purified mates and wives) and thatthey
will have abide therein forever".

What is Islam, and what do Muslims believe?

Question: "What is Islam, and what do Muslims believe?"
Answer: Islam is a religioussystem begun in the seventh century by
Muhammad. Muslims follow the teachings of the Qur'an and strive to
keep the Five Pillars.
The History of Islam
In the seventh century, Muhammad claimed the angel Gabriel visited
him. During these angelic visitations, which continued for about 23
years until Muhammad's death, the angel purportedly revealed to
Muhammad the words of Allah (the Arabic word for "God" used by
Muslims). These dictated revelations compose the Qur'an, Islam's holy
book. Islam means "submission," deriving from a root word that means
"peace." The word Muslim means "one who submits to Allah."
The Doctrine of Islam
Muslims summarize their doctrine in six articles of faith:
1. Belief in one Allah: Muslims believe Allah is one, eternal,
creator, and sovereign.
2. Belief in the angels
3. Belief in the prophets: The prophets include the biblical prophets
but end with Muhammad as Allah's final prophet.
4. Belief in the revelations of Allah: Muslims accept certain portions
of the Bible, such as the Torah and the Gospels. They believe the
Qur'an is the preexistent, perfect word of Allah.
5. Belief in the last day of judgment and the hereafter: Everyone will
be resurrected for judgment into either paradise or hell.
6. Belief in predestination: Muslims believe Allah has decreed
everything that will happen. Muslims testify to Allah's sovereignty
with their frequent phrase, inshallah , meaning, "if God wills."
The Five Pillars of Islam
These five tenets compose the framework of obedience for Muslims:
1. The testimony of faith ( shahada ): " la ilaha illa allah. Muhammad
rasul Allah. " This means, "There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is
the messenger of Allah." A person can convert to Islam by stating this
creed. The shahada shows that a Muslim believes in Allah alone as
deity and believes that Muhammad reveals Allah.
2. Prayer ( salat ): Five ritualprayers must be performedevery day.
3. Giving ( zakat ): This almsgiving is a certain percentage given once a year.
4. Fasting ( sawm ): Muslimsfast during Ramadan in theninth month of
the Islamic calendar. They must not eat or drink from dawn until
sunset.
5. Pilgrimage ( hajj ): If physically and financially possible, a
Muslim must make the pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia at least
once. The hajj is performed in the twelfth month of the Islamic
calendar.
A Muslim's entrance into paradise hinges on obedience to these Five
Pillars. Still, Allah may reject them. Even Muhammad was not sure
whether Allah would admithim to paradise (Surah 46:9; Hadith 5.266).
An Evaluation of Islam
Compared to Christianity, Islam has some similarities but significant
differences. Like Christianity, Islam is monotheistic. However,
Muslims reject the Trinity—that God has revealed Himself as one in
three Persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Muslims claim that Jesus was a mere prophet—not God's Son. Islam
asserts that Jesus, though born of a virgin, was created like Adam.
Many Muslims do not believe Jesus died on the cross. They do not
understand why Allah would allow His prophet Isa (the Islamic word
for"Jesus") to die a torturous death. Yet the Bible shows how the
death of the perfect Son of God was essential to pay for the sinsof
believers (Isaiah 53:5-6; John 3:16; 14:6; 1 Peter 2:24).
Islam teaches that the Qur'an is the final authorityand the last
revelation of Allah. The Bible, however, was completed in the first
century with the Book of Revelation. The Bible warnsagainst anyone
adding to or subtracting from God's Word (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs
30:6; Galatians 1:6-12; Revelation 22:18). The Qur'an, as a claimed
addition to God's Word, directly disobeys God's command.
Muslims believe that paradise can be earned through keeping the Five
Pillars. The Bible, in contrast, reveals that sinful man can never
measure upto the holy God (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Only by God's grace may
sinners be savedthrough repentant faith in Jesus (Acts 20:21;
Ephesians 2:8-9).
Because of these essential differences and contradictions, Islam and
Christianity cannot both be true. The Bible and Qur'an cannot both be
God's Word. The truth has eternalconsequences.
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see
whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out
into the world. Bythis you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that
confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and
every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the
spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming,
and now it is already in the world" (1 John 4:1-4; see also John
3:35-36)

STORY - ~ INDIA - Srirangapatna Mysore : Dariya Daulat Palace

One of the places that you can visit while you are staying in Mysore
is Srirangapatna. For a short while the city of Srirangapatna was the
capital of the Mysore state, while Tippu Sultan was ruling Mysore.
After the death of Tippu Sultan in 1799 the British shifted thecapital
back to Mysore and placed the child King Krishnaraja Wodeyar III on
the throne of Mysore. Hence there are a number of places of historical
importance associated withthe reign of Tippu Sultan.
Srirangapatna is an island in the river Kaveri, about 14kms from
Mysore. In Srirangapatna is the Dariya Daulat Palace (Summer Palace)
that is set amidst beautiful gardens called Daria Daulat Bagh. Tippu
Sultan popularly known as the "Tiger of Mysore", built this palace in
1784 and ruled Mysore from here for a short time after his fatherHyder
Ali wrested power from the Wodeyars in the middle of the 18th century.
The palace is built in the Indo-Sarcenic style in mostly made of
teakwood. The palace has a rectangular plan and is built on a raised
platform. There are open corridors along the four sides of the
platform with wooden pillars at the edges of the Plinth. The western
and eastern wings have walls the other two wings have recessed bays
with pillars supporting the roof. The four staircases are
inconspicuous, built in the four partition walls that divide the
audience hall into four rooms at four corners with a central hall
connecting the eastern andwestern corridors. The most stunning feature
of the palace is that all the space available on the walls, pillars,
canopies and arches have colorful frescoes. The outer walls ofthe
palace have frescoes of the battle scenes and portraits. The inner
walls are decorated with scrolls of thin foliage and floral patterns.
The wooden ceilings of the palace are pasted with canvas paintedwith
floral patterns.
On the western wall are painting that depict the celebrated victory
achievedby Haider Ali and Tippu Sultan over the English lead by Col.
Bailee in the battle of Pollilur near Kanchipuram in 1780. The panels
on the left wing depict the armies led by Haider Ali and Tippu Sultan
going to battle and on the right wing Col. Bailee is shown seated in a
palanquin troubled, with the English army surrounding him, besieged by
the army of Tippu Sultan.
There is a painting at the extreme top right, of French soldiers led
by Lally,who are looking through a telescope. The top panels shows the
Nizam of Hyderabad and his army of horsemen and elephants arriving a
little too late to help his allies, the English. The eastern wall has
paintings in five rows representing the scenes of Darbars of different
contemporaries of Tippu Sultan including the Hindu Rani of Chitor, the
Raja of Tanjore, the Raja Benares, Balaji Rao II Peshwa, Magadi
Kepegowda and Madakari Nayaka of Chitradurga and Krishnaraja Wodeyar
II.
On the top floor of the Daria Daulat Palace is the Tippu Sultan
Museum. It has a collection of Tippu memorabilia, European paintings
and Persian manuscripts. The museum has the famous painting"Storming
of Srirangapattanam" an oil painting by Sir Robert Ker Porter made in
1800. This historical painting depicts the final fall of
Srirangapatana on 4th May 1799. Tippu's men are seengiving stiff
resistance to the British army and many British officers are clearly
visible in the painting. In background behind the fortwalls are seen
parts of the Palace and the minarets of the mosque. Close by is
Tippu's fort that lies in ruins now. It is in this fort that Tippu
died fighting the British. In the fort are the Jama Masjid and the
Ranganathaswamy Temple. Tippu's Palace the Lal Mahal lies in ruins
nearby. Outside the fort is the Gumbaz that contains Tippu's tomb, his
father Haider Ali's tomb and his mother's tomb

STORY - ~ INDIA - Mysore Excursions : Srirangapatna Mysore : Masjid-e-Ala

The Masjid-e-Ala or Jama Masjid in Srirangapatna is another tourist
attraction in the city. The mosque is located near the Bangalore Gate
of the fort. Tippu Sultan built this masjid in 1784 after he ascended
thethrone of Mysore. It is said that he performed the first imamath
himself. The mosque has lofty minarets that touch the sky these
minarets stand on a high platform and has an open court in the front
and a covered verandah. The minarets are double storied and octagonal
in shape with pigeonholes surmounted by domes thatadds to the grandeur
of theentire structure.
There is a huge prayer hall, the Mihrab on the western side. There is
an inscription that mentions all the ninety-nine names of Allah.There
is a flight of about 200 steps leading to the top of the minarets from
where one can have a splendid view of the surrounding area. Persian
scriptures done in fine calligraphy and intricate ornamentation
decorate the walls and ceilings of this Juma Masjid.

STORY - ~ INDIA - Mysore : Tourist Attractions in Mysore : Brindavan Gardens Mysore

One of the most visited places in Mysore by locals and by tourists is
the famous Brindavan Gardens.Located about 19kms from the heart of
Mysore these beautiful gardens are laid out below the Krishnaraja
Sagar dam built across the river Cauvery. These gardens are famous for
theilluminated dancing fountains that come to life after sunset. The
Krishnaraja Sagar Dam (KRS) (known as Kannambadi to the locals) itself
is a superb example of excellent engineering and itself is a tourist
attraction in Mysore. Sir M. Vishveswariah, one of India's finest
engineers, built it in 1924.
He used 'surkhi' a mixture of limestone and brick powder instead of
cement. The dam was among the first in the world to have automatic
sluice gates. The dam is named after the then Maharaja of Mysore
SriKrishnaraja Wodeyar who financed the dam. The damis 3 kms long and
is locatedat the confluence of the rivers -Cauvery, Hemavati and
Lakshmanathritha. Thelake that is formed by the dam is one of the
largest inIndia. The dam is a multipurpose project conceived by Sir M.
Vishveswariah for supplying water to the agricultural lands of Mandya
and Mysore districts and for ensuring power supply to the
Shivanasamudra project.
Sir M. Vishveswariah is often called the architect ofmodern Mysore and
"the father of planning in India".The gardens were designedby Sir
Mirza Ismail another important and progressive Diwan of Mysore. Spread
over an area of 150 acres, the Brindavan Gardens is considered one of
the best gardens in India. The garden not only been meticulously laid
out and has beautiful lawns and shrubs, but has thousands of fountains
in different shapes and sizes that are litwith colorful lamps and
areset to pleasant music.
The best time to visit the gardens is after sunset when all the bright
colourful fountains come alive and seem to dance with joy to the
accompanying music. This is a sight worth beholding as the entire
garden is transformed into a fairyland. The Brindavan gardens remain
illuminated from 7.00pm to 7.55pm from Monday to Wednesday and from
7.00pm to 8.55pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Praise going up, blessings coming down

Of course there are many types of dhikr . Dhikr means praising Allah,
remembering Allah. SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi is a good one, but even
something as simple as saying, "Thank you, Allah" when you finish a
meal is atype of dhikr.
When we have dhikr always on our tongues, we have this constant
connection with God, even as we go about our daily routines. When
things are going well, or when things are hard, we have this lifeline
to Allah, this constant stream of praise going up, and blessings
coming down. Our spirits are lighter, our hearts happier. We are
grateful for everything we have, because we remember thatevery single
little blessing – good health, the comfortable beds we sleep in, the
orange juice we hadfor breakfast, even our beating hearts and the
breath in our lungs – comes from Allah.
Dhikr is a guide to excellent character, and a light that keeps us on
the path to Paradise.
We covet what we think about
Here's another important point. I am the editor of IslamicAnswers.com
, whichis a common-sense advice website for marriage and family
issues. One type of common question I get is from a young person who
is madly in love with someone who is unavailable. Maybe the
unavailable person is already married, or is not interested, or the
parents do not approve, but it's clear that the match is impossible.
One thing I tell such a young person is, stop thinking about the
object of your desire. When the thoughts come, push them away.
Absolutely do not spend your time gazing at photographs of him/her,
reading old emails, dwelling on what-ifs, and fantasizing, because
that will only reinforce your obsession, and keep the unavailable
person in your mind.
What we think about, we come to desire.
With dhikr, we are using this principle for good. By constantly
praising Allah, we keep Him in our minds and hearts. The more we do
so, the more we come to desire His love, His forgiveness, and His
presence. The more we think about Allah, the morewe want to please
Him. It becomes a beautiful cycle of remembrance and blessings,
reinforcing each other.
That's why Allah described the believers as,
"Who remember Allaah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their
sides." [3:191]
"…and the men who remember Allaah often and the women who do so – for
them Allaah has prepared forgiveness anda great reward." [33:35]
"O you who have believed, remember Allaah with much remembrance. And
exalt Him morning and afternoon." [33:41-42]
The living and the dead
There is a very powerful hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in which he said,
"The example of the one who remembers his Lord (God) in comparison
withthe one who does not remember his Lord is thatof the living and
the dead." [Sahih al-Bukhari; 11:208, Muslim; 1:539]
I could write an entire essay about that one hadith, but I'll just say
that the essence of life is our need for Allah. Without Him, our
hearts would not beat, the rain would not fall, there would be no food
on our tables, and no joy in our hearts. When we remember Allah we
prove that we are spiritually alive. We acknowledge our need for the
One God, and we acknowledge His favorsupon us.
Conversely, if we do not remember Him, it's as if weare spiritually
dead. That's why the famous classical scholar Shaykhul Islam ibn
Taymiyyah said, "The example of dhikr to the heart is that of fish to
water."

As Nemesis makes its closest approach to the Sun its orbit takes it
right through the trillions of comets surrounding the solar system. A
billion comets are sent careening toward the inner solar system, a
handful inevitably hits the Earth.
Even if one of these comets hits our planet, waves, hundreds of meters
high will form and will destroy everything in its path.
Even a 200 meter sized meteor has the power to destroy 70 % of our
world's coastline.
However if that meteor hitting the Earth is 10 kms in size then such
a giant dust cloud will be formed that it will block the Sun
completely. All the plants and marine animals will be destroyed and
completely dead.
Every living thing on earthwill be completely destroyed.
Allah has revealed information about the Dayof Judgment in the
Qur'anand the star that will start the Day of Judgment might be
Nemesis. (Allah knows the truth.)
and the earth and the mountains are lifted andcrushed with a single
blow. On that Day, shall the (Great) Event come to pass. (Surat
al-Haqqa:14-15)

Surat an-Nisa, 77 (Hypocrites are opposed to intellectual struggle)

Do you not see those who were told: 'Hold back from fighting but
establish salat and pay alms? Then when fighting is prescribed
forthem, a group of them fear people as Allah should be feared, or
even more than that. They say, 'OUR LORD , WHY HAVE YOU PRESCRIBED
FIGHTING FORUS? IF ONLY YOU WOULD GIVE US JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME!'
Say, 'The enjoyment of the world is very brief. The Hereafter is
better for those who have fear of Allah. You will not be wronged by so
much as the smallest speck.' (Surat an-Nisa', 77)
Do you not see the main point that distinguishes the hypocrites? They
are opposed to Islamic Union and jihad (the intellectual struggle).
They do not want the deen of Allah to spread and rule the world.They
pray and fast and everything. They even ask for more. For instance, if
an animal is to be sacrificed they request further detail. But talk of
Islamic Union offends them, and that is the problem they have.

The Deen with Allah Is Islam

Throughout the course of history, Allah has revealed the truth faith
through Hisprophets. All the prophets there have ever been havecalled
on people to believein the one Allah, to obey the and all the other
prophets, to believe in the angels, destiny and the Day of Reckoning,
to do good for Allah's approval and to possess good moralvalues. Allah
has from time to time ordained changes in the provisions of the
religions He has sent down, but essentially all the prophets have
called people to Islam and to be Muslims. Because thetrue faith in the
Sight of Allah is Islam:
The Deen with Allah is Islam.(Surah Al 'Imran, 19)
The Prophets Noah (pbuh),Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Jesus and all the
other prophets have called on the peoples to which they were sent to
adopt Allah's true religion to and revealed to them that they were
Muslims. In verses 67 and 68 of Surah Al 'Imran it is revealed that
the Prophet Abraham (puh) was a Muslim:
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian. but aman of pure natural
belief – a Muslim. He wasnot one of the idolaters.
The people with the strongest claim to Abraham are those who followed
him and this Prophet and those who have iman. Allah is the Protector
of the believers. (Surat al-'Imran, 67-68)
This verse reveals how theProphet Jacob (pbuh) advised his sons to "be Muslims:"
Ibrahim directed his sons to this, as did Jacob: 'My sons! Allah has
chosen this deen for you, so do not die except as Muslims.' (Surat
al-Baqara, 132)
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and his disciples also said they were Muslims:
When 'Isa sensed disbelief on their part, he said, 'Who will be my
helpers to Allah?' The disciples said, 'We are Allah's helpers. We
believe in Allah. Bear witness that we are Muslims. (Surah Al 'Imran,
52)
The Prophet Moses (pbuh) also called on his people to be Muslims:
Moses said, 'My people! if you believe in Allah, then put your trust
in Him, if you are Muslims.' (Surah Yunus, 84)
As we have seen, all prophets have called on their peoples to be
Muslims, in other words, to the true faith in the Sight of Allah. The
true books and law that Allah sent down to these prophets gradually
became distorted and departed from their original forms. But Allah has
promised to preserve the Qur'an uncorrupted and has revealed that
everyone should abide by the Qur'an, the last true book. Therefore, if
a Jew who genuinely loves the Prophet Musa (pbuh) wishes to live by
the religion brought by the prophet, that can only be possible by
living by the Qur'an. In the same way, ifa Christian who sincerely
follows the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) wishes to live by pure Christianity
as it was in the time of the disciples,then he must abide by
theQur'an. Because the truest,finest and purest form of what the
Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) taught appears in
the Qur'an. When Christians and Jews say they believe in the oneAllah,
"Lailaha illaAllah," and that the Prophet Muhammad (saas) is the last
true prophet,"Muhammadan Rasulullah," and abide by the Qur'an, then
they will be complete followers of the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the
Prophet Jesus (pbuh) they love so much. And by Allah's leave, this
will happen with the coming of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) in this
century and Islam, the onetrue faith, will rule the world under the
leadership of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh).

A New Course for the World

The Quran was also a message that the time had come to change
humanity'smeandering course. Humanbeings all over the world had been
creating societies,customs and laws based onsuperstition. Some
societieswere based on artificial castes. Others were based on worship
of human beings, or worship of the dead, or cult-like religions, or
collections of taboos andmyths.
The revelation of the Quransignified the beginning of anew course for
the world, alighted path based on scholarship, science and
thesystematization of knowledge. The engines of this new period would
be literacy, scholarship, Tawheed (Oneness of God), and righteousness.
Human history, with its long and bleak stretches of ignorance and
suffering, like a vast desert with only a few small oases, was given a
permanent garden in the form of a book: the Quran.
A book is a garden in your pocket. It's natural, inspiring, and
life-changing. It's your ownpersonal haven. But only if you read it
and let it into your heart.

You Are Perfectly Created

In many verses of the Quran the human being has been described by
Allah as being created in the best form, or created perfectly:
"We have indeed created humankind in the best ofmolds."
Quran 95:4 (Surat At-Tin, The Fig)
and:
"Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that
clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and
clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another
creature. So blessed be Allah, the bestto create!"
(Quran 23:14) (Surat Al-Mu'minun, The Believers)
and:
"The work of Allah who has perfected everything (He created).
Qur'an 27:88 (An-Naml, TheAnt)
and:
"He is the One Who has made perfectly everything He has created: He
began the creation of human beings with clay, And made his progeny
from a quintessence of the nature of a fluid despised: But He
fashioned him in due proportion, and breathedinto him something of His
spirit…"
Quran 32:7-9 (As-Sajdah, the Prostration)
These ayaat do not speak only of the human being's physical form. The
perfection of man and woman includes the human spirit; the human will;
the human emotional capacity, intellectual drive, innate curiosity,
desire to excel, ability to love without bounds; and our yearning for
Allah, even when we do not recognize it.
Allah is speaking of you.
Not some random historical human being. Not only Adam and Hawaa.Not
only the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
You.

HEALTH - ~ Powerin a puff

When the round piece of dough emerges from hot oil, looking all brown
and puffed up, you can't help succumbing to the temptation.
Last Sunday my little sister-in-law invited us to lunch. It was
getting on to 45°, it was dry as only Delhi can be in May, she lives
on the top floor of herapartment building, and the loo was blowing. In
other words, it was blazinghot. And she stood in the kitchen and made
us, with her own fair hands, hot pooris with the traditional rase ke
alu , dahi and achar the only other accompaniments.
That was a memorable meal, for many reasons: The company was easy
andcomforting, she had chilledthe house with the air conditioner set
to glacial, and the menu was just perfect. To have added or subtracted
from it would have been criminal.
The boiled potatoes, roughly broken by hand into a thinnish
orange-yellow gravy of tomatoes and dahi were flavoured with just
zeera , cumin and haldi . Just a hint of hing (asafœtida), garam
masala and freshly chopped coriander. The dough, the poori atta , had
been kneaded with dried methi , fenugreek leaves.
Family choices
I asked for mine puffed butsoft, her brother for his crisp, and our
niece for her solitary one without the methi . We all ate till we
collapsed and a crane had to be brought in to lift us.
The main reason was that in my house pooris are inedible ("but why,
bhabhi , there's nothing to pooris — why can't you?") and so I've
given up. The second was the purity of the alu , and the crowning
taste was the aam ka achar . For years I've annually suffered"hints"
about the best raw mango pickle being the one with no stone, no
saunf-methi-kalonji (fennel-fenugreek-nigella), only red chillies and
hing and I've turned a deaf ear because I don't like it. It's cut into
long, limp, thin slivers and tastes only of its ingredients, which
don'twork for me, they're too unconnected, too raw.
But the pickle at Chhoti's house had small triangular pieces of mango,
positivelyreeking of hing , but sweet and hot. The texture was firm
and crisp and naturally the taste was sour, but a large amount ofsugar
added an unexpected kick. With that savoury meal, sweetness did the
trick. I'm still waiting for a consignment and the recipe.
A few days later I went to a mall for a movie, the planwas to eat a
large breakfast and skip lunch. So I filled up on the mandatory
popcorn and then politely agreed to share a sandwich or pizza after.
One look at the menu and sure enough, all three of uswanted to eat
many things. I'm a sandwich fiend, am supposed to avoid red meat, so
ordereda tuna sandwich. Tuna is supposed to be a good source of
vitamins D, B3 and B6, and, in any case, it has a flavour that I like.
Unlike most shop-bought sandwich fillings, which taste and smell of
pink reconstituted plastic, tuna has character.
Tuna sandwich
This came in toasted brown whole wheat bread,cut into four large
trianglesand filled almost to bursting. The filling was held together
by mayonnaise — probably eggless — and its flavour and crunch
explained the name they'd given it: Colaba tuna sandwich. They could
as well have named it Nungambakkam or Defence Colony Tuna Sandwich, or
anything else desi . But to non-Mumbaikars, Colaba has a certain ring.
In it they'd mixed fresh chopped dhania (coriander)stalks and leaves
but there was also the pungent, unmistakeable bite of finely sliced
raw purple onions.
I like onions as much as the next person, but only with hot food, and
only with meat. We were tortured as children and not allowed onions at
lunch, which was usually vegetarian, but they were served steeped in
malt vinegar at dinner — which was always mutton in some form — and
the habit has stuck.
The onion in the sandwich was crisp in the middle of the squishy tuna
salad and its flavour balanced the smell of the tuna without
overpowering it. Occasionally a succulent stem of coriander would
burst freshly into the mouth. Both onions and coriander are "ornery"
and a part of all our larders, butthe unexpectedness of the
juxtaposition was what wrought the magic.
All unusual combinations don't necessarily succeed, sometimes they
manage tobe only just edible. But some act like a magic wand,
transforming pumpkins to carriages and scullery drudges to belles of
balls.
I find that with saunf , fennel. The humble every day dhuli moong
(yellow, hulled mung ), often cooked in combination with masoor ki dal
(red split lentil) is usually tempered, like most other dals in the
North, with cumin.
In the South it's most likelymustard seeds. This one is boiled with
saunf . Sautéing saunf changes its smell completely — it becomes
smoky, crisp, fried.

Communication and Signalling in the Language of Birds

Scientific research has revealed that throughout the living world,
communication is just as important as it is to human beings. Countless
living things lack the capacity for human speech, yet they employ
entirely different methods in order to communicate with each other—and
even with other species. Some of the most dramatic examples of this is
displayed by birds.
All forms of life on Earth have been created with miraculous
properties and astonishing abilities. The examination of just one
single species is enough toreveal hundreds of proofs of Allah's
magnificent creation.
In one verse of the Qur'an, Allah reveals that:
There is no creature crawling on the earth or flying creature, flying
on its wings, who are not communities just like yourselves—We have not
omitted anything from the Book—then they will be gathered to their
Lord. (Qur'an, 6: 38)
The birds to which this verse draws our attention notice are one of
the livingcommunities that we needto examine and reflect upon.
There are roughly some 10,000 species of bird in the world, each of
which possesses its own miraculous features. Wherever you may live,
you can see a great number of these featheredcreatures and can observe
different and extraordinary properties in each and every one. With
their attractive appearances, flawless flight mechanisms, expertise on
the routes and timing of migrations, ability to build nests and
altruistic behavior toward their young and to one another, birds
possess countless proofs of the fact of creation. Their ability to
communicate is another of these.
Birds' Sense of Hearing
For birds to display their talents in communicating by sound, song—and
in the case of some birds, words— they require excellent hearing. At
critical times in their lives, their sense of hearing becomes
particularly important. Experiments have shown that in order for birds
to learn the distinctive song of their own species, they need an
auditory feedback system. Thanks to this system, young birds learn to
compare the sounds they produce themselves with the patterns of a song
they have memorized. If they were deaf, it wouldn't normally be
possible for them to sing recognizable songs.
Birds' ears are well equipped for hearing, but they hear in a
different way from us. For them to recognize a tune, they have to hear
it in always the same octave (a series of seven notes), whereas we
humans can recognize a tune even if we hear it ina different octave.
Birds cannot, but can instead recognize timbre—a fundamental note
combined with harmonies.The ability to recognize timbre and harmonic
variations lets birds hear and reply to many diverse sounds, and
sometimes even reproduce them.
Birds can also hear shorternotes than we can. Humans process sounds in
bytes in about 1/20th of a second, whereas birds can distinguish these
sounds in 1/200th of a second. This means that birds are superior at
differentiating sounds that arrive in very rapid succession. In other
words, a bird's capacity to perceive sound is approximately ten times
greater than ours; and in every note heard by a human, it can hear
ten. Moreover, some birds are also able to hear lower-frequency sounds
than weare. Their hearing sensitivity is so finely tuned that they can
even tell the difference between pieces by such famous composers as
Bachand Stravinsky.
Birds' extremely sensitive hearing functions perfectly. Clearly, each
of this sense's components is created by special system, for if any
one failed to work properly, the bird would not be able to hear any
sounds at all.
Bird Sounds Are Not Haphazard
Usually, birdsong is not composed of randomly produced sounds. Songs
are exceptionally diverse melodies of specific meaning, sung for a
purpose, and are much more complex than the calls used for signaling.
They are generally used bymales to advertise and defend a territory,
or in courtship. It is also believed that songs serve a social
function. When a pair is building their nest, they also establish
communication by song. Experiments on caged birds have also
demonstrated that birds find it easier to learn songs if another bird
is present, but out of sight, in another cage.
Male and female songbirdshave different brain structures, particularly
in the regions related to sound production. With many songbird
species, the males can sing, but thefemales cannot. The malesuse
"song" to call their mates or designate a tree, pole, or electrical
cable as a place to perch.

Human Rights in Islam

... do not judge bywhat God has sent down are the disbelievers."
(5:44)Human Rights In An IslamicState The Security Of Life And
Property: In the address which the Prophet delivered on the occasion
of the Farewell Hajj, he said: "Your lives and properties are
forbidden toone another till you meet your Lord on the Day of
Resurrection." The Prophet has also said about the dhimmis (the
non-Muslim citizens of the Muslim state): "One who kills a man under
covenant (i.e., dhimmi) will not even smell the fragrance of
Paradise." The Protection Of Honor: The Holy Quran lays down: "You who
believe, do not let one (set of) people make fun of another set." "Do
not defame one another." "Do not insult by using nicknames." "Do not
backbite or speak ill of one another." (49:11-12) Sanctity And
Security Of Private Life: The Quran has laid down the injunction:"Do
not spy on one another." (49:12) "Do not enter any houses unless you
are sure of their occupant's consent." (24:27) The Security Of
Personal Freedom: Islam has laid down the principlethat no citizen can
be imprisoned unless his guilt has been proven in an open court. To
arrest a manonly on the basis of suspicion and to throw himinto a
prison without proper court proceedings and without providing hima
reasonable opportunity to produce his defense is not permissible in
Islam. The Right To Protest Against Tyranny: Among the rights that
Islam has conferred on human beingsis the right to protest against
government's tyranny. Referring to it the Quran says: "God does not
love evil talk in public unless it is by someone who has been injured
thereby." (4:148) In Islam, as has been argued earlier, all power and
authority belong to God, and with man there is only delegated power
which becomes a trust; everyone who becomes a recipient ofsuch a power
has to stand in awful reverence before his people toward whom and for
whose sake he will be called upon to use thesepowers. This was
acknowledged by Hazrat Abu Bakr who said in his very first
address:"Cooperate with me when Iam right but correct me when I commit
error; obey me so long as I follow the commandments of Allah and His
Prophet; but turn away from me when I deviate." Freedom Of Expression:
Islam gives the right of freedom of thought and expression to all
citizens of the Islamic state on the condition that it should be used
for the propagation of virtue and truth and not for spreadingevil and
wickedness. The Islamic concept of freedom of expression is much
superior to the concept prevalent in the West. Under no circumstances
would Islam allow evil and wickedness to be propagated. It also does
not give anybody the right to use abusive or offensive language in the
name of criticism. It was the practice of the Muslims to enquire from
the Holy Prophet whether on a certain matter a divine injunction had
been revealed to him. If he said that he had received no divine
injunction, the Muslims freely expressed their opinion on the matter.
Freedom Of Association: Islam has also given people the right to
freedom of association andformation of parties or organizations. This
right is also subject to certain general rules. Freedom Of Conscience
And Conviction: Islam has laid down the injunction: "There should be
no coercion in the matter of faith." (2:256) Onthe contrary,

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The first
of creation to be clothed on the Day ofResurrection will be Ibraheem
al-Khaleel." [Bukhari]
On the Day of Resurrection Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) will gather his
slaves barefoot, naked and uncircumcised. Then He willclothe His
slaves. The righteous will be clothed innoble garments, and the
evildoers will be clothed in trousers of tar and a shield of scabs,
and other awful garments.
The first one among the slaves of Allah to be clothed will be the
Prophetof Allah, Ibraheem (alaihis salam), the Close Friend of the
Most Merciful (Khaleel ar-Rahmaan).
