Sweetener: Sugar can be substituted with honey in many food and
drinks. Honey contains about 69% glucose and fructose enabling it to
be used as a sweetener.
--►Energy Source: According to USDA, honey contains about 64 calories
per tablespoon. Hence honey is also used by many as a source of
energy. On the other hand, one tablespoon of sugar will g
ive you about 15 calories. Further the carbohydrates in the honey can
be easily converted into glucose by even the most sensitive stomachs.
Hence it is very easy to digest honey.
--►Weight Loss: Though honey has more calories than sugar, honey when
consumed with warm water helps in digesting the fat stored in your
body. Similarly honey and lemon juice and honey and cinnamon help in
reducing weight. Read more about benefits of honey in weight loss.
--►Improving Athletic Performance: Recent research has shown that
honey is an excellent ergogenic aid and helpsin boosting the
performance of athletes. Honey facilitates in maintaining blood sugar
levels, muscle recuperation and glycogen restoration after a workout.
--►Source of Vitamins and Minerals: Honey contains a variety of
vitamins and minerals. The type of vitamins and minerals and their
quantity depends on the type of flowers used for apiculture. Commonly,
honey contains Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron. Check for the vitamin and
mineral content in sugar from any source, you will find it to be
either nil or miniscule.
--►Antibacteria l and Antifungal Properties: Honey has anti-bacterial
and anti-fungal properties and hence it can be used as a natural
antiseptic.
--►Antioxidants : Honey containsnutraceuticals, which are effective in
removing free radicals from our body. As a result, our body immunity
is improved.
--►Skin Care with Milk and Honey: Milk and honey are often served
together as both these ingredients help in getting a smooth soothing
skin. Hence consuming milk and honey daily in the morning is a common
practice in many countries.

Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

The health benefits of honey
Amazing Power of Avocados
Calling all guac addicts: Avocados keep you thin, protect your vision,
and may even prevent cancer.
1 Eye opener
Protect your vision with a few slices of avocado at lunch or dinner.
Avocados are rich in lutein and zeaxanthin , antioxidants found in the
retina that keep eyes healthy; they also may help prevent age-related
problems, like cataracts and macular degeneration.
2 Cancer fighter
Extracts from avocados kill or stop the growth of precancerouscells
that lead to oral cancer and may have a similar effect on other
cancers, according to a recent study. Researchers credit the fruit's
unique combo ofnutrients—whi ch include folate and vitamins C and E.
3 Nutrient booster
Add avocado to salsa for a bigger health payoff. A study from The Ohio
State University found that people absorbed four-and-a-half times more
of the cancer-fighter lycopene fromthe tomatoes when avocado wasadded;
the healthy fats help you absorb more nutrients.
4 Healthier fat
Skip the mayo, and go for creamy avocado on your sandwich. It packs 4
grams of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat (which lowers cholesterol),
2grams of fiber , and 1 gram of protein per ounce, making it a
lower-fat, more-filling substitute for the white stuff.

Reconciling between the reports that Jibreel, Adam and Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon them) saw Paradise, and the hadeeth “… that which no eye has seen…”
It is well known that in Paradise there is that which no eye has seen
and no ear has heard, but wasn't Adam in Paradise? Didn't the Prophet
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) enter Paradise too?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that
the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Allaah
says: 'I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has
seen, no ear has heard and it has never crossed the mind of man. All
of that is reserved, besides which all that you have known is as
nothing.' Then he recited: 'No person knows what is kept hidden for
them of joy as a reward for what they used to do' [al-Sajdah 32:17 –
interpretation of the meaning]."
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3072) and Muslim (2824) -- the report
narrated by Muslim adds: "apart from that of which Allaah has informed
you."
Secondly:
With regard to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
seeing Paradise and entering it, that is proven in many hadeeths. Imam
al-Bukhaari, in his book al-Sharee'ah, quoted some of these hadeeths
under the chapter heading Baab Dukhool al-Nabi (sall Allahu 'alayhi wa
sallam) al-Jannah (The Prophet's entering Paradise) in which he
narrated several hadeeths, including the following:
It was narrated from Anas ibn Maalik that the Prophet (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him) said: Whilst I was walking in Paradise, I
saw a river whose banks were domes of hollow pearls." I said, "What is
this, O Jibreel?" He said: "This is al-Kawthar which your Lord has
given to you." The angel struck it with his hand and its mud or its
perfume was of the most fragrant (or pure) musk.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6201).
According to another report: When the Prophet (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him)was taken up to heaven (the Mi'raaj), [he said:] I
came to a river whose banks …
According to a version narrated in Musnad Ahmad (19/66): "I entered
Paradise and saw a river whose banks were pavilions of pearls."
Thirdly:
With regard to the issue mentioned by the questioner, it may be said:
This that has been prepared in Paradise for the righteous slaves of
Allah has notbeen seen by anyone, as it states in the texts. As for
what Adam and our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon them) saw, it was only part of in Paradise because Paradise, "in
which there is that which no eye has seen" is not necessarily that
which no one has ever seen. Rather it may be that thereare in it
things that some eyes have seen, even though there is in it that which
is stored up and hidden, no eye has seen it and no ear has heard, and
no one can imagine it or describe it.
Perhaps the above meaning is supported by the hadeeth of al-Mugheerah
ibn Shu'bah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him) said: "Moosa asked his Lord: 'Who will be the
lowest of the people of Paradise in status?' He said: 'He will be a
man who will come after I have admitted the people of Paradise to
Paradise and it will be said to him: "Enter Paradise." He will say: "O
Lord, how, when the people have taken their places and been given
their portions?" It will be said to him: "Would it please you if you
had the like ofwhat one of the kings of the world had?" He will say:
"I would be pleased, O Lord." He will say, "You will have that, andas
much again, and as much again, and as much again, and as much again."
The fifth time, he will say, "I am pleased, O Lord." He will say: "You
will havethat and ten times as much, and you will have what your heart
desires and what will delight your eyes." He will say: "I am pleased,
O Lord."' (Moosa) said: 'My Lord, who will be the highest of them in
status?' He said, 'They will be the ones whom I have chosen, and I
haveplanted their honour with My own hand. I have set a seal overit
and no eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has it entered theheart of
man.'" He said: And the confirmation thereof is in the Book of Allaah,
may He be glorified and exalted: "No person knows what is kept hidden
for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do" [al-Sajdah
32:17].
Narrated by Muslim, 189.
It is as if those who are highest in status are those who have the
greatest share of this hiddentreasure and blessing that no eye has
seen and no mind has imagined.
And Allah knows best.

Does the squeezing in the grave apply to the Prophets (peace be upon them)?
I read a hadeeth according to which the Prophet (blessings andpeace of
Allah be upon him) said:"In the grave there is squeezing; and if
anyone were to be saved from it, Sa'd ibn Mu'aadh would have been
saved from it." Does this squeezing affect everybody, including the
Prophets, the righteous, the martyrs and the siddeeqs? Is there any
way to beprotected from it?.
Praise be to Allaah.
In the answer to question no. 131627 we spoke of the squeezing of the
grave and quoted the hadeeths that have been narrated concerning that,
and discussed some of the issuessurrounding it. Please refer to this
question.
One of the things we did not discuss there is the question that is
asked here: does the squeezing in the grave affect theProphets?
The answer to that is that there was nothing proven concerning that in
the texts of Revelation, but we have come across comments of many
scholars saying that the Prophets will be exempted from squeezing.
This opinion is based on the view those who say that the severity of
the squeezing in the grave willvary according to the individual'slevel
of sin. The Prophets are protected against major sins and are
protected against persisting in minor sins, so they will not be
affected by the squeezing or questioning in the grave.
As-Suyooti (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted a hadeeth about the
grave squeezing Yahya (peace be upon him), but this hadeeth is weak
and there is a problem with its isnaad. The well-known view is that
the Prophets will not experience this squeezing.
End quote from Sharh as-Sudoor bi Sharh Haal al-Mawta wa'l-Quboor, p. 114
Al-Mannaawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The reports indicate
that no one will be spared the squeezing in the grave, whether one is
righteous or otherwise, but the Prophets are exempted, as was stated
by the author – i.e., as-Suyooti – in al-Khasaa'is.
End quote from Fayd al-Qadeer, 5/434
He also said: But al-Hakeem – i.e., al-Hakeem al-Tirmidhi – made an
exception in the case of the Prophets and awliya' (close friends of
Allah) and was of the opinion that they will not be squeezed or
questioned.
My opinion is that the exemptionin the case of the Prophets is
obvious. With regard to the awliya' it cannot be true. Have you not
seen the high status of Sad ibn Mu'aadh, and he was squeezed
nevertheless?
End quote from Fayd al-Qadeer, 5/398
Shaykh Ahmad an-Nafraawi al-Maaliki (may Allah have mercy on him)
said: With regard to the Prophets, some of them said: it isnot known
that the Prophets will be squeezed or questioned in their graves
because they are protected from sin.
End quote from al-Fawaakih al-Dawaani, 2/688
Sulaymaan al-Bujayrimi ash-Shaafa'i (may Allah have mercy on him)
said: With regard to the squeezing of the grave, it applies to
everyone who dies even if he is not accountable andno one is saved
from it except the Prophets and Faatimah bint Asad.
End quote from Tuhfat al-Habeeb'ala Sharh al-Khateeb, 2/586
There is no proof for the exemption of Faatimah bint Qaysin the
Sunnah; rather the suggestion that she is exempted is based on a
fabricated or very weak hadeeth that was quoted by Ibn Shabbah in his
book Tareekh al-Madinah, 1/124. The isnaad of the hadeeth includes
some unknown narrators, amongwhom is 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far ibn
al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, of whom Ibn Hibbaan (may Allah have mercy on
him) said: He made a lot of mistakes in narration and he even narrated
from trustworthy narrators things that do not resemble proven
hadeeths. Therefore he deserves to be rejected.
End quote from al-Majrooheen, 2/27
Shaykh 'Abd al-'Azeez al-Raajihi (may Allah preserve him) said: With
regard to the Prophets, we do not know whether they are squeezed in
their graves.
End quote from Sharh al-'Aqeedah at-Tahhaawiyyah, p. 307
So it seems that the squeezing of the grave includes the martyrs,
righteous and awliya', but it doesnot include the Prophets.
And Allah knows best.

Will the meezaan on the Day ofResurrection have a pointer?
Is there any evidence to say that the meezan (the scale)on the day of
resurrection will havea lisaan (tongue)?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The meezaan (balance) which will weigh people's deeds on theDay of
Resurrection is proven inthe Qur'aan and mutawaatir Sunnah. With
regard to its description, it is proven that it will have two pans, in
which good deeds and bad deeds will be placed, as it says in the
well-known hadeeth about the one with the piece of paper. Some
scholars said that the meezaan will have a pointer, and there is a
report concerningthat from Ibn 'Abbaas and al-Hasan al-Basri, but
there is no saheeh, marfoo' hadeeth concerning that.
Shaykh Saalih ibn 'Abd al-Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh (may Allah preserve
him) said: It is narratedin the Sunnah that the meezaan will have two
pans, one in which bad deeds will be placed and one in which good
deeds will be placed; the one whose pan of good deeds weighs
moreheavily will have attained success and will enter Paradise, and
the one whose pan of bad deeds weighs more heavily will be subject to
that which Allah warned him of.
Some of the scholars said that part of the belief of Ahl as-Sunnah is
that the meezaan will have two pans and a pointer.
The idea of the meezaan having a pointer was mentioned by IbnQudaamah
in al-Lam'ah and by others, but there is no clear evidence for this,
or I have not come across any clear evidence for it. Rather they based
this idea on the fact that the pointer will indicate which pan is
heavier, so they looked at the apparent meaning of the words and took
that as proof that it has a pointer, but the matter requires more
research.
End quote from Sharh al-'Aqeedah at-Tahhaawiyyah
The wording of Ibn Qudaamah (may Allah have mercy on him) referred to
appears in Lam'at al-I'tiqaad, where he says: The meezaan has two pans
and a pointer, and deeds are weighed in it. "Then, those whose scales
(of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. And those
whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their
ownselves, in Hell will they abide." [al-Mu'minoon 23:102, 103].
Endquote.
Shaykh 'Abd ar-Razzaaq ibn 'Abdal-Muhsin al-'Abbaas (may Allah
preserve him) said: Al-meezaan: part of believing in the Last Day is
believing in the meezaan that will be set up on the Day of
Resurrection: "And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of
Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And
if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And
Sufficient are We as Reckoners." [al-Anbiya' 21:47]. So deeds, records
and people will be weighed. It is a real meezaan which has two pans.
In one pan good deeds will be placed and in the other bad deeds will
be placed. That is referred to the hadeeth of the piece of paper,
which mentions the two pans, as it says: "The piece of paper will be
placed in one pan and the scrolls in the other." In some reports it
says: "It has a pointer and two pans." This was narrated from Ibn
'Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) and was quoted by
Abu'sh-Shaykh via al-Kalbi. It was also narrated from
al-Hasan.However, there is no mention ofthe pointer in any marfoo'
hadeeth, but the hadeeths that speak of the meezaan are mutawaatir.
And the Qur'aan is filled with references to the meezaan, which is a
meezaan that can weigh the smallest amounts:
"So whosoever does good equalto the weight of an atom (or a small
ant), shall see it.
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small
ant), shall see it."
[az-Zilzaal :7-8].

End quote from al-Tuhfah as-Saniyyah Sharh Qaseedat Ibn Abi Dawood al-Haa'i
And Allah knows best.
7a] I want to be a devoted slave of Allaah … ten pointers
My brother, if you want tohave a high position in all kinds of good
deeds, to bea devoted slave of Allaah and to honour your parents, and
you are seeking Paradise, then you have to do the following:
1 – You have to revive thefaith in your heart. Faith iswhat will bring
the Muslim everything he seeks in this world and in the Hereafter.
Faith is the key to all goodness and locks the door to all evil. The
means of reviving and strengthening faith inone's heart are many and
varied, including doing a lot of acts of worship and righteous deeds.
2 – You must turn to your Lord sincerely, as it says in the report:
"If My slave turns to me inwardly and outwardly, Iwill turn the hearts
of My slaves to him with love and mercy."
Allaah has made worship the ultimate aim and loftiest purpose of man:
"And I (Allaah) created notthe jinn and mankind except that they
should worship Me (Alone)"
[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56 – interpretation of the meaning)]
3 – You should always setyour sights on the highestdegrees, and make
your goal in life to earn the pleasure of Allaah, and strive to attain
the victoryof Paradise, or to attain the highest Firdaws. You should
strive as hard as you can to achieve these lofty aims.
4 – You should follow the example of historical Muslim figures such as
theSahaabah, Taabi'een and righteous forebears (the salaf).
5 – You should make the most of every minute, every moment and every
heartbeat to use it in sucha way as to increase your faith.
6 – You should try to keepcompany with righteous people, because the
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,
"A man will follow the religion of his close friend,so let each one of
you look at whom he befriends." Narrated by Abu Dawood and al-Tirmidhi
with a hasan isnaad. Good friends are one of the best means of helping
you to obey Allaah and to avoid sin and error.
7 – Doing a lot of righteous deeds which will bring you happiness in
this world and in the Hereafter.
8 – Praying qiyaam al-layl, making du'aa' in the time just before
dawn. The feet of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) used to swell because of his desire to be a
thankful slave, even though Allaah had forgiven his previous and
future sins.
9 – Persisting in reading aportion of Qur'aan daily, and other dhikr
that helpsyou to think and ponder the meanings of the Qur'aan.
10 – Striving to spread the word and make da'wah for the sake of
Allaah, and working for Islam as much as possible.
If you want to reach the status of devoted slave for which you long,
then be as Allaah commanded His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him):
"Say (O Muhammad): Verily, my Salaah (prayer), my sacrifice, my
living, and my dying are for Allaah, the Lord of the 'Aalameen
(mankind, jinn and all that exists)"
[al-An'aam 6:162]
Being a devoted slave of Allaah means declaring one's devotion and
belonging to the Lord, which can only be achieved by applying this
aayah, so that we are for Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds, in all our
affairs.
Being a devoted slave of Allaah can only be fully achieved in this
manner; it can only be achieved byworshipping Allaah in the fullest
sense of the word, which means making our living and dying, and all
our movements, for Him alone. So we only speak that which is pleasing
to Allaah; we only do that which is pleasing to Allaah; we focus our
intention in these words and deeds only on Allaah. Worship should not
be reduced to merely raising and lowering our heads atcertain times,
or giving a few pennies every once ina while, or fasting a few days
each year, or movingour lips to say a few words and dhikrs.
Hence the deeds that leadto this status – of being a devoted slave –
are innumerable and may take many shapes in all aspects of our lives
and the places where we live. This is by the bounty of Allaah towards
us and towards all people.
Just look, in every place where you find yourself and every moment
that comes to you, for that which will please Him, and what you think
He wants to see you doing, and do it. Then you will be a devoted
slave.
Finally, we ask Allaah to accept righteous deeds from us and from you,
and to gather us and you in His mercy with the Prophets, siddeeqs,
martyrs and righteous, and those are the best of companions.

7] I want to be a devoted slave of Allaah … ten pointers
7]
My question is short. I want to enter Paradise, I want to strive to
control my self (my nafs), I want to kiss my mother's hand every day,
I want to keep away from whims and desires and from the Shaytaan, I
want Allaah tocall me a devoted slave on the Day of Resurrection, in
sha Allaah, I want to love my brothers, and I want my faith to keep
increasing. What should I do?.
Praise be to Allaah.
We ask Allaah to make you steadfast in adhering to the truth, and to
make your hopes come true, and to make you one of those who turn to
Him and who know the truth, defend it and adhere to Islam.
The things you mention inyour question indicate that you have a sound
and pure nature, and a great desire to achieve great things and to
give everyone his rights. Theseare great hopes that can be achieved
through faith,as it was narrated that Sufyaan al-Thawri said: Faith is
not wishes or pretence, rather it is what settles in the heart and is
proven by actions." So we will discuss the matter of faith and how
important it is in becoming a devoted slave, pleasing and honouring
one's parents and achieving thevictory of Paradise.
Whoever seeks to achievegreat things has to stay up at night (worship).
Hence al-Fudayl said: "Youhearts can never taste thesweetness of faith
until they shun worldly pleasures." And he also said, "If you cannot
pray qiyaam at night and fast during the day, then know that you are
deprived."
The sincere believer has a heart like a burning coal, hence it was
narrated by al-Haakim in his Mustadrak and al-Tabaraani in his
Mu'jamwith a saheeh isnaad that the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) said, "Faith wears out in your heart asclothes
wear out, so ask Allaah to renew the faith in your hearts."
The believer's heart may sometimes feel overwhelmed by clouds of sin.
This was portrayed to us by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) whenhe said: "There is no heartthat does not have clouds
like the clouds that cover the moon. When the cloud covers it, it is
dark, and when the cloud moves away it shines." Narrated by
al-Tabaraani in al-Awsat, and classed assaheeh by al-Albaani. So the
believer's heart is sometimes covered with acloud and its light is
hidden, and it remains dark and lonely, but if he strives to increase
his store of faith and seeks the help of Allaah, that cloud goes away
and the light in his heart starts to shine again. Hence one of the
salaf said: "It is part ofa person's smartness to c heck on his faith
and be aware of what affects it." It is also part of a
person'ssmartness "that he recognizes how the Shaytaan whispers to
him."
So he has to come back tofaith. If you come back to faith and do as it
requires, then you will achieve what you want. We will tell you of a
basic principle which will let you know when faith is present and when
it is not. Imam Ibn al-Jawzi said: "O you who are turned away, O you
who are deprived of meeting your loved ones, if you want to know how
you stand before the king, then look at how you are spending your time
and what work you are assigned to do. How many people stand at the
door of the king, but no one enters except the onewhom he cares for.
Not every heart is fit to draw close, not every heart can be filled
with love, not every wind is like the morning breeze."
If a person want to know how he stands before Allaah and how he stands
in relation to His commands and prohibitions, let him look at himself
and see what he is preoccupied with. If he is busy with da'wah and
with saving people from the Fire, striving to attain Paradise, helping
the weak and needy, honouring his parents, then let him rejoice in the
fact that he is close to the King of kings, for Allaah does not help
anyone to do good except those whom He loves.
But if he is has no interest in da'wah, dislikesthe daa'iyahs and
does not do good things, if he is preoccupied with this world and its
gains, and with gossip and asking too many questions, whilst not doing
much or following his whims and desires, let him know thathe is far
from Allaah and has been deprived of that which will bring him closer
to Paradise, because Allaah says in His holy Book (interpretation of
the meaning):
"Whoever desires the quick-passing (transitory enjoyment of this
world), We readily grant him what We will for whom We like. Then,
afterwards, We have appointed for him Hell; he will burn therein
disgraced and rejected ( far away from Allaah's Mercy).
And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it, with the
necessary effort due for it (i.e. does righteous deeds of Allaah's
obedience) while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic
Monotheism) — then suchare the ones whose striving shall be
appreciated, (thanked andrewarded by Allaah)"

already provide hints about the nature of these technological
developments and the kind of abundance that they will bring.
In the End Times, the prevailing Qur'anic morality will ensure that
everyone will receive their just share of goods. In fact, these goods
will be so abundant that everyone will receive all that they ask for,
and much more besides. At all times, Allah grants to His servants
whodisplay this moral excellence an abundant life and promises them
great blessings both in thisworld and beyond.
Anyone who acts rightly, male or female, being a believer, We will
give them a good life and recompense them according to the best of
what they did. (Surat an-Nahl, 97)
In the Golden Age, technology will serve humanity, and its
blessingswill be allocated evenly among all people regardless of
ethnicity, community, and country. Nations that are far from one
another, as well as societies of dissimilar cultures, will benefit
from these sources evenly, and everyone will enjoy a just
administration. Adherence to the Qur'an's morality in its true sense
will ensure the maintenance of this Paradise-like order on Earth. The
just administration of sincere Muslims, who turn to Allahfor every
deed they perform, will secure peace and security, as well as
continued blessings.
The Ä°nvalidity Of The ClaimThat ''Transitional Forms Do Not Mean
Deformed Living Things''
After the fact that 99% of mutations are harmful, one of the most
difficult and problematic subjects for Darwinists is the total absence
of the fictitious fossils known as transitional forms.
Darwinists have sought to explain the absence of transitional forms in
other ways, in order to neutralize this fact that is so embarrassing
for them, and say instead that "transitional fossils are different to
what you imagine."
· First and foremost, this needs to be made
crystal clear: the concept of the "transitional form" is one produced
by Darwinists themselves. It was Darwinists who came up with the idea
that countless transitional forms must have resulted from unsuccessful
mutations between two life forms, and that the majority of these
fictitious life forms would have been eliminated while only a very few
survived. According to this tale, there must have been a time when a
fish would supposedly grow feet or when reptiles' arms wouldbe wings.
But this mythicalperiod DOES NOT EXIST in the fossil record.
· There is therefore no question of "aconcept that
we think of as transitional forms." All descriptions of the entities
referred to as transitional forms come from Darwinists. For years,
paleontologists have sought but failed to find the transitional form
described by Darwin himself. According to that description,
transitional forms are DEFORMED AND MONSTROUS living things. It is
impossible, according to that description, for them to be anything
else.
· Were the theory of evolution true, there is no
doubt that traces of these fictitious intermediate periods should be
found in the fossil record. Fish spendingmillions of years as its fins
supposedly turned into legs, as evolutionists maintain, should exist
in this alleged "intermediate state" in the fossil record.
· And that is not all. Bearing that 99% of
mutations are harmful, there should also be many more examples of all
the failed stages pertinent to alife form. There should be millions or
even billions of odd-looking life forms thatemerged as a result of
failed mutations everywhere on Earth.
· Bearing in mind that mutations are blind and
random processes and are inevitably harmful, then, no matter how
unwilling Darwinists may be to admit the fact, all these supposedly
successful or supposedly unsuccessful transitional forms would all
have been deformed and twisted, with legs coming out of ears,
half-fins and half-legs, with three ears instead of two...
· Yet not one such deformed living things, nor any
transitionalform of the kind imagined by evolutionists, has ever been
found among the more than 300 million fossils that have so far been
unearthed. Indeed, what troubles Darwinists most is that all fossils
are completely regularly, symmetrical and fully formed; in other
words, that FOSSILS REFUTE EVOLUTION.
· As readers will recall, Darwin's greatest worry
was that transitional forms would not be "IN A STATE OF CONFUSION" and
that everything in nature HAS APERFECT REGULARITY AND SYMMETRY:
HY, if species have descended from other species by insensibly fine
gradations, DO WE NOT EVERYWHERE SEE INNUMERABLE TRANSITIONAL FORMS?
WHY IS NOT ALL NATURE IN CONFUSION INSTEAD OFTHE SPECIES BEING, AS

· MUTATIONS DO NOT PRODUCE SYMMETRY.. THEY KNOW
NOTHING OF HARMONY, :->
already provide hints about the nature of these technological
developments and the kind of abundance that they will bring.

Unprecedented AbundanceIn The Golden Age
Many hadiths indicate the existence of a period whenthe Qur'an's
values will pervade Earth. This period, known as the Golden Age, will
last for more than halfa century and, in many ways, will resemble the
Blessed Period of our Prophet (saas). We call thisperiod the Golden
Age dueto our Prophet's (saas) Paradise-like depictions of it. It will
be marked by the abundance of every type of goods and crops, the
establishment of security, justice, peace, and happiness; and the use
of advanced technology for humanity's comfort, ease, joy, and peace.
No one willbe in need, for all goods and services will be available to
satisfy all people's material needs. Many hadiths say that"weapons
will be silenced," and thus herald a world filled with peace. In the
Golden Age, enemy nations will become brothers and sisters and
re-establish peace, friendship, and love among their leaders and
peoples.
The Golden Age will be a period of great abundance, for each
individual's material wants will be satisfied according to need.
Technology will produce such an abundance of goods that hunger will be
eradicated forever and all people will be provided with the
necessities of life. Earth's wealth will serve humanity, and new
agricultural technologies will lead to an unparalleled increase in
crop production. People of faith will receive great rewards for every
good deed they do, both in this world and the Hereafter. Bounty and
abundance, which will permeate everymoment of life, will be a grace
that Allah will grant to those who live by the Qur'an's moral code.
Every good act they do will turn into a great fortune. In oneverse,
Allah describes the great reward all believers will receive when they
spend for His good pleasure:
The metaphor of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah is
that of a grain that produces seven ears: in every ear there are a
hundred grains.Allah gives such multipliedincrease to whoever He
wills. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat al-Baqara, 261)
Many hadiths reveal that there will be an unprecedented abundanceof
crops and goods, all of which will be distributed without measure:
In the last of times there will be a khalifa (successor)who will
distribute wealth without even counting it. (Muslim)
Someone sowing a measure of wheat will find700 in return ... A person
will scatter a few handfuls of seeds, but will reap 700 handfuls …
Despite an abundance of rain, not a drop will go to waste. ( IbnHajar
al-Haythami, Al-Qawlal-Mukhtasar, p. 24)
This hadith refers to an increase in agricultural production that will
occur in the End Times by transitioning to modern agriculture,
developing new production techniques, improving seed stocks, and using
rainwater more efficiently by constructing new dams and ponds.
In the End Times, every agricultural development will serve all of
humanity. In our own time, only some groups or societies benefit from
technology, but in the Golden Age everyone, regardless of their
ethnicity, age, gender, or language, will enjoy its benefits. No one
will enjoy special privileges, for both rich and poor will have equal
access to these services. Noone will suffer from poverty or starve,
for opulence and welfare will mark this era. Technology will ensure
the transition to an agricultural system that secures healthy,
tasty, durable, cheap, and abundant yields. Current scientific

Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
For more than a billion Muslims around the world—including some 8
million in North America—Ramadan is a "month ofblessing" marked by
prayer, fasting, and charity. Ramadan focuses on self-sacrifice and
devotion to Allah (God).
Why this Month?
Muslims believe that during the month of Ramadan, Allah revealed the
first verses of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam. Around 610 A.D., a
caravan trader named Muhammad took to wandering the desert nearMecca
(in today's Saudi Arabia) while thinking about his faith. One night a
voice called to him from the night sky. It was the angel Gabriel, who
told Muhammad he had been chosen to receive the word of Allah. In the
days that followed, Muhammadfound himself speaking the verses that
would be transcribed as the Qur'an .
At many mosques during Ramadan, about one thirtieth of the Qur'an is
recited each night in prayers known as tarawih . In this way, by the
end ofthe month the complete scripture will have been recited.
Fasting
Muslims practice sawm , orfasting, for the entire month of Ramadan.
This means that they may eat or drink nothing, includingwater, while
the sun shines. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars (duties) of Islam.
As with other Islamic duties, all able Muslims take part in sawmfrom
about age twelve.
During Ramadan in the Muslim world, most restaurants are closed during
the daylight hours. Families get up early for suhoor , a meal eaten
before the sun rises. After the sun sets, the fast is broken with a
meal known as iftar . Iftar usually begins with dates and sweet drinks
that provide a quick energy boost.
Fasting serves many purposes. While they are hungry and thirsty,
Muslims are reminded of the suffering of the poor. Fasting is also an
opportunity to practice self-control and to cleanse the body and mind.
And inthis most sacred month, fasting helps Muslims feel the peace
that comes fromspiritual devotion as well as kinship with fellow
believers.
Eid al-Fitr
Ramadan ends with the festival of Eid al-Fitr, whichin 2012 occurs on
Aug. 19. Literally the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," Eid al-Fitr is
one of the two most important Islamic celebrations (the other occurs
after the Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca). At Eid al-Fitr people dress
in their finest clothes, adorn their homes with lights and
decorations, give treats to children, and enjoy visits with friends
and family.
A sense of generosity and gratitude colors these festivities. Although
charity and good deeds are always important in Islam, they have
special significance at the end of Ramadan. As the month draws to a
close, Muslims are obligated to share their blessings by feeding the
poor and making contributions to mosques.

Although Eid al-Fitr is always on the same day of the Islamic
calendar, the date on the Gregorian calendar varies from year to year,
since the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar and the Islamic
calendar is a lunar calendar. This difference means Eid al-Fitr moves
inthe Gregorian calendar approximately 11 days every year. The date of
Eidal-Fitr may also vary from country to country depending on whether
the moon has been sighted or not.
The dates provided here are based on the dates adopted by the Fiqh
Council of North America for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. Note that
these dates are based on astronomical calculations to affirm each
date, and not on the actual sighting of the moon with the naked eyes.
This approachis accepted by many, but is still being hotly debated.

Eid al-Fitr (1 Shawwal)
The first Eid was celebrated in 624 CE by the Prophet Muhammad with
his friends and relatives after the victory of the battle of
Jang-e-Badar.
Muslims are not only celebrating the end of fasting , but thanking
Allah for the help and strength that he gave them throughout the
previous month to help them practise self-control .
The festival begins when the first sight of the new moon is seen in the sky.
Muslims in most countriesrely on news of an official sighting, rather

The celebratory atmosphere is increased by everyone wearing bestor new

How is Eid al-Fitr Celebrated?
During the month of Ramadan , Muslims observe a strict fast and
participate in pious activities such as charitable giving and
peace-making. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal for those who
observe it. At the end of Ramadan, Muslims throughout the world
observe a joyous three-day celebration called Eid al-Fitr (the
Festival of Fast-Breaking).
Answer: Eid al-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal , the month
which follows Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. It is a time to give in
charity to those in need, and celebrate with family and friends the
completion of a month of blessings and joy.
Before the day of Eid, during the last few days ofRamadan, each Muslim
family gives a determined amount as a donation to the poor. This
donation is of actual food -- rice, barley, dates, rice, etc. --
toensure that the needy can have a holiday meal and participate in the
celebration. This donation is known as sadaqah al-fitr (charity of
fast-breaking).
On the day of Eid, Muslims gather early in the morning in outdoor
locations or mosques to perform the Eid prayer. This consists of a
sermon followed by a short congregational prayer.
After the Eid prayer, Muslims usually scatter to visit various family
and friends, give gifts (especially to children), and make phone calls
to distant relatives to give well-wishes for the holiday. These
activities traditionally continue for three days. In most
Muslimcountries, the entire 3-day period is an official
government/school holiday.

The same theme of unity is described in the Holy Qura'an:
"And obey Allah and His Messenger, and dispute not with one another,
otherwise you will showtimidity, and your tied strength will depart

Unity never means to disregard and disrespect Shariah and in the name
of unity, observe Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, and Eid Al-Adha whenever we
please. Observing Eid without any evidence or starting Ramadan
withoutevidence of Shariah so that the unity would be maintained is
completely against the rulings of the Qura'an and Hadith.
We humbly request our Muslim brothers to not waste their 'Ibaadat
(Rituals). Please do not ignore the obviously clearcommands and
injunctions of Allah and his Apostle and become guilty in the eyes of
Allah and his Apostle. When you see the Moon, start the month; and if
you can not see the Moon (for any reason), wait for an acceptable
witness according Shariah. If the witness is up to the standards of
the rules of Shariah, then the new month starts. Otherwise, as the
Noble Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) instructed, complete the thirty (30)
days. Saudi Arabia's prominent scholar Abdul Azeez bin Baaz himself,
in his Fatawa (Verdict), ordered:
"The most trusted and authentic source of Moon sighting for a town is
a local one." [Further, he says,] "Some people think that the whole
world should follow the Moon sighting of Mecca, Saudi Arabia and make
it the base of their Ramadan and Eid judgment. However, in the pure
formof Shariah, there is neitherany proof of it, nor is there any
origin to this." (Al-Baath Al-Islami, Zel-Hijjah 1399 Hijri)
We surrender ourselves inthe supplication to Allah: May He give the
Muslims the ability to obey and follow the pure form of Shariah to the
fullest. Aameen; Bejahe Habeebihee Sayyedil Mursaleen (Peace Be

a local one." [Further, he says,] "Some people think that the whole
world should follow the Moon sighting of Mecca, Saudi Arabia and make
it the base of their Ramadan and Eid judgment. However, in the pure
formof Shariah, there is neitherany proof of it, nor is there any
origin to this." (Al-Baath Al-Islami, Zel-Hijjah 1399 Hijri)
We surrender ourselves inthe supplication to Allah: May He give the
Muslims the ability to obey and follow the pure form of Shariah to the
fullest. Aameen; Bejahe Habeebihee Sayyedil Mursaleen (Peace Be
UponHim)./
1b] When Should Eid Al-Adha Be Celebrated?
1b]
Suppose that the Moon is not sighted in Saudi Arabia; but in the
countries west of Saudi Arabia, it is observed. So when in Saudi
Arabia it will be the 9th of Zel-Hijjah, in the countrieswest of Saudi
Arabia, it will be the 10th of Zel-Hijjah. If you follow the
conflicting doctrine, inSaudi Arabia Eid Al-Adha will be on Hajj day,
but forpeople in western countries Eid-Al-Adha will be on the 11th of
Zel-Hijjah. And that is against the rules of Shariah. Now suppose in
Saudi Arabia the moon is sighted, but for any reason it is not sighted
in any countries west of Saudi Arabia. If it is 9th of Zel-Hijjah in
Saudi Arabia, then in western countries it will be 8th of Zel-Hijjah.
Under this condition, if EidAl-Adha and sacrifice are dependant upon
Hajj, then the countries west ofSaudi Arabia will have to observe Eid
Al-Adha on the 9th of Zel-Hijjah whichis, again, a deviation from laws
of Shariah. In SaheehBukhari, this Hadith is mentioned:
"Hadhrat Baraa (May AllahBe Pleased With Him) reported: The Messenger
of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) gave us a sermon onthe day of Nahr (10th
of Zel-Hijjah): 'The first thing we will do on this day of ours is
offer the Eid prayerand upon return we will sacrifice the animals.
Whoever did so, he acted according to our Sunnah, and whoever
sacrificed before the prayer, what he offered was just meat he
presented to his family, and that will not be considered as
sacrifice.'Abu Burdah bin Niyaar (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) got
up, and said, 'O Messanger of Allah, I sacrificed before Eid Al-Adha
prayers. Now Ionly have a baby ram thatlooks like it is a little well
over one year old.' The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, 'Sacrifice
it but it will not be sufficient for any-one else after you.'"
(Bukhari, Book 1, Page 132)
From the study of this Hadith, it is very clear thatsacrifice before
Eid Al-Adha prayer is rejected by the Holy Prophet and he ordered Abu
Burdah (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) to sacrifice another animal.
Now, consider those who make Oqoof-e-Arafaat a condition for Eid
Al-Adha and sacrifice. They may perform their sacrifice oneday prior
to the actual day. How do you think their sacrifice will be accepted
in accordance with the rules? There is no danger of delaying
thesacrifice and the Eid prayers (with a legitimateexcuse) until the
12th of Zel-Hijjah. Even without an excuse, delaying Eid prayers is
permissible as an undesirable (Makrooh) act. Fiqh-e-Hanafi's renowned
book: "Fatawa Qazi Khan" mentions the following:
"If the Eid Al-Adha prayer, with a legitimate excuse, or not, is not
performed on the first day (10th of Zel-Hijjah), then it should be
performed on the second day (11th of Zel-Hijjah). And if it is not
performed on those two days, then it should be performed on the third
day (12th of Zel-Hijjah). After that, it can not be validly
performed."
(Fatawa Qazi Khan, Volume 1, Page 89)
In the light of these explanations, all aspects are quite clear that
if Eid Al-Adha prayers and sacrifices are performed before the 10th of
Zel-Hijjah, they will not beaccepted in the eyes of Shariah. But if
they are performed after the 10th of Zel-Hijjah, Eid Al-Adha and
sacrifices, with a legitimate excuse, will be treated as performed
without any defect. Without any excuse, they will be acceptable, but
undesirable (Makrooh).
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF "UNITY OF THE UMMAH" ?
Some people, for the sake of unity of the Ummah, suggest that Eid
Al-Adha should be observed at thesame time throughout the world.
However, this act is impossible because of the different time zones of
the world. The entire globe cannot follow the same time zone. For
example, when it is 12:00 noon in Saudi Arabia, it is 8:00 PM in
Sydney, Australia and 3:00AM in Chicago, Illinois. So making Saudi
Arabia a base, we can not have theprayer of Zuhr at the same time in
Sydney and Chicago.
Likewise, the Moon sighting in various parts of the world is
different. Conclusively, the start andend of the months are also
different because they are based on the actual Moon sighting, as
Islamic months start at the appearance of the New Moon (and end as the
New Moon of the nextmonth is sighted). The Islamic concept of the
unity of the Ummah is notwhether the start of Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, or
Eid Al-Adha is observed at the same time. This is even against the
principles of nature.
The unity of the Ummah means that mutual relationships and cooperation
must be firm. The conflict among the Ummah must be resolved. Our
strength should be protected from creating divergences. There shouldbe
adherence to Allah's Halal (Permissible) and Allah's Haram
(Prohibited)as commanded by him. Any act that is Mustahab (doing such
a deed will berewarded but not doing itwill not result in punishment)
should be accepted as permissible and worthy of being rewarded. :->

1a] When Should Eid Al-Adha Be Celebrated?
1a]
This is why Islamic Shariah does not recognize the birth of the Moon
in blindness; rather it considers its appearance on the horizon. The
ruling of Shariah applies to the observance of the Moon. Only upon
visibility does the month start, not before the appearance on the
horizon.
IS EID AL-ADHA DEPENDANT UPON HAJJ ?
In North America, unfortunately, upon the announcement of startingof
the month Zel-Hijjah, discussions start floating on the assumption
that Eid Al-Adha should be observed on the second day of
Oqoof-e-Arafaat (Hajj). Emphasis is exertedon the belief that there is
no need to observe the Moon on a local level. Those who oppose this
idea are thought to be wrong. Apparently, there is no logic towards
that assumption. Now we will analyze the logic and ask our readers to
read carefully.
If Eid Al-Adha is dependant upon Hajj, then the following objections arise:
I. Making Hajj a condition or dependency factor for Eid Al-Adha is
against the Qura'an and Hadith. Thereis neither proof of it in
theQura'an nor Hadith because there is a long time span between the
permissibility of both events. The Eidain ('Al-Fitr'and 'Al-Adha')
were made obligatory in the first yearof the Hijrah calendar and Hajj
was made obligatory in the ninth year of the Hijrah calendar. The Eids
were declared festivities eight years before Hajj was made obligatory.
"Hadhrat Anas (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) reported that when the
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) came to Medina, the people had
two days on which they engaged in games. He asked, 'What are these two
days (what is the significance)?' They said, 'We used to engage
ourselves on them in the pre-Islamic period. The Messanger of Allah
(Peace Be Upon Him) said, 'Allah has substituted for them something
better than them, the day of sacrifice (Eid Al-Adha) and the day of
the breaking of the fast(Eid Al-Fitr).'" (Abu Dawood, Book 1, Page
161) / (Nasaee, Book 1, Page 231) / (Sunane Bayhaqee, Book 3, Page
277)
All of the Islamic Laws since the time of our Noble Holy Prophet
(Peace Be Upon Him) are continuously being observed and followed. "Eid
al Adha" and Sacrifice are also being performed continuously without
termination.
The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) performed Eid Al-Adha prayers on
10th of Zel-Hijjah and then sacrificed animals. Now for argument's
sake, let us consider that Eid Al-Adha is dependant upon Hajj. Then
the question arises: How did Muslims perform Eid Al-Adha and sacrifice
animals without the Hajj for those eight years that didn't have Hajj?
Apart from this, other doors of objection open up.
II. As today's technology in communication and its progressions make
the transfer of information seem easy, knowing the day of
Oqoof-e-Arafaat is simple. But when these technologies were not
available, then dependingupon Oqoof-e-Arafaat to observe Eid Al-Adha
would be impossible. In those days the information of Ooqoof-e-Arafaat
would reach distant locations relative to Mecca in months, only after
people come back from the journey of Hajj.
Keeping in mind the above fact, how is it possible for Islamic Shariah
to command its followers to go through the hardship which is beyond
their reach? Allah says in the Qura'an:
"Allah places not burdenon any soul but to the extent of his strength..."
2:286 (Sura Al-Baqarah, Verse 286)
Still, who knows that in this technological age, how many parts of the
world have no communication; and yet, Islam is practiced there and
those who reside there observe their Eid day based solely on local
Moon sighting.
III. To link Eid Al-Adha with Hajj does not have any basis, as Hajj is
an act of worship which is limited to a specific location. On the
contrary, Eid Al-Adha and sacrificinganimals are observed all over the
world. How can aglobal event depend on a local event?
IV. Not having any Islamic historical evidence to link Hajj with Eid
Al-Adha, and inventing something which has no consistency and yet
calling it an Islamic act, how can one suspend the Islamic Shariah's
rules and formulate something newthat never happened in Islamic
history. To follow something unlawful can result in weakening the
religion. (May Allah protect us from such things. Aameen!)
V. Under the situation of the conflicting doctrine, it will follow
that Eid Al-Adha should be observed on a date other than the 10th of
Zel-Hijjahwith the exception of Saudi Arabia, even thoughits
dependency is upon the 10th of Zel-Hijjah. As according to Hadith, Eid
Al-Adha is to be observed on the 10th of Zel-Hijjah only.
"Hadhrat Baraa bin Aazib (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) reported that

1] When Should Eid Al-Adha Be Celebrated?
1]
Dear Brothers in Islam,
This booklet is prepared for the sole purpose of clarifying the
confusion in the Muslim Ummah aboutthe actual day of Eid Al-Adha.
Please read this with a careful understanding.
The Islamic calendar is based on sighting of the Moon. The beginning
and ending of the months relies on witnessing the Moon sighting. Allah
Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala clearly mentions this in the Holy Qura'an :
'They ask you about the new moon. Say you, 'They are the signs of time
for the people and pilgrimage (Hajj).' 2:189 (Sura Al-Baqarah, Verse
189)
"And We made night and day as two signs, then put the signs of
thenight blotted and the sign of day shining, thatyou may seek grace
of Allah and that you may know the numbering of years, and the
reckoning. And We haveexplained well every thing separately.' 17:12
(Sura Bani-Israil, Verse 12)
In both of these verses the timings and days are appointed based on
the Moon. The counting of years is also dependent on the passing of
nights and days. The Noble Prophet of Allah (Peace BeUpon Him) also
clarified this very plainly for the simplicity of his Ummah in a
complete form of law.
"Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala created moon for mankind to determinetime.
So by sighting the Moon, start fast and end fast (Eid). If that Moon
does not appear then complete the count of thirty (30) days.' (Tafseer
Ibn-e-Katheer, Book 1, Page 214)
For the Muslim Ummah, Qura'an and Hadith are the norm. By virtue of
the Qura'an and Hadith we know that Islamic monthsbegin and end upon
sighting of the Moon. The day after the Moon is sighted is the first
day of the following month. If the Moon does not appear, for any
reason, onthe 29th day of any given month, then 30 days of that month
should be completed and the following month be started after the
completion.
Some people, upon sighting the New Moon, start assuming that the New
Moon seems to be ofthe second day. They rely upon the supposition of
the second day Moon and say this is not the first dayMoon (New Moon).
The following Hadith will be sufficient to nullify these comments:
"Hadhrat Abul Bakhtari (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) said, 'We
started our journey for Umrah. When we reached Batn-e-Nakhla, we saw
the Moon. Someone commented that this seems like a third day Moon.
Another person suggested that this is a second day Moon. Then we
approached Hadhrat Ibn-e-Abbas (May Allah BePleased With Him) and
respectfully informed him that we saw the Moon on the way. Some of us
madecomments of it being a second day Moon and others, third day Moon.
Then Hadhrat Ibn-e-Abbas(May Allah Be Pleased With Him) asked which
night you saw the Moon. We told him such and such day. He replied that
the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that the night you witnessed
the New Moon is the night you rely on.'"
(Tafseer Qurtabi, Book 1, Vol. 2, Page 344)
This dilemma is now quiteclear that Moon sighting isthe basis of a
month's beginning and ending. If the Moon is not sighted on the 29th
day of a given month, then thirty (30) days must be completed. At the
same time when the Moon, if appearing to be thicker and staying longer
on the horizon, is sighted upon a completion of 30 days, donot start
speculating or assuming that it may be such and such day's Moon. This
is against the commands of our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
In the context we hear people saying that this is the age of science,
technology, and advancements in astronomy. They concludethat we can
measure the velocity and location of the Moon. Based on this, many
people assume one must follow scientific means and that there is no
need to observe the Moon.
With due respect, we say that Islamic Shariah bases its verdict in the
light of principles of astronomy. According to
astronomicalexplanations, at the end of the month when the Moon is
waning, the time between the disappearance and appearance of the Moon
by the horizon is called "Muhaaq" or the Unseen Time. During this
phase, the Sun and the Moon are at approximately the same level on the
horizon.Due to this, the Moon's visibility is drowned by the Sun's
light. In result, the Moon is invisible. The period of "Muhaaq" ranges
from 36 to 50 hours. However, after this phase, the Moon enters the
New Moon period andemerges from the horizon(and the vicinity of the
Sun). Afterwards, in the waxing phase, when the Moon is 12° (degrees)
from the Sun, it becomes visible to the unaided eye.
Now take the words of Hadith which says, "Start fast with the
appearance of Moon and end fast withthe appearance of the Moon." This
clearly points to the principles of "Muhaaq" (when the Moon is
invisible). Since the New Moon comes after completing its phaseof
"Muhaaq", there is a possibility of it being seenon the horizon. :->

To recite Durood before and after Adhan
1. Some people say that itis Bid'ah (innovation) to read the Durood
Shareef before and after the Azaan.
2. The Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama'at believes that it is permissible to
recite the Durood Shareef before and after the Azaan. This is a
current practice in many of the Arab countries.
3. The following Quranic verse commands us to send Durood and Salaam
upon the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and no specified
time has been set aside for this. Allah Ta'ala says: "O ye who
Believe! Send Durood and Salaams upon him in abundance." (Part 22,
Ruku 4)
4. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said that
when we hear the voice of the Mu'azzin, we should repeat whatever he
has said and then sendDurood Shareef upon him.He said that the person
who sends one Durood upon him, Allah Ta'ala willsend ten mercies upon
that person. (Sahih Muslim, Al-Qaulul Badi) In this Hadith Shareef,
proof is found here that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam) asked us to recite the Durood Shareef after the Azaan.
5. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "If,
when performing any good deed you do not commence with the praise of
Allah and send Durood upon me, then that deed is empty of blessings."
(Al Jaame Sagheer) Which Muslim is there who does not consider the
Azaan to be agood deed?
6. In fact it was Salahud'deen Ayubi (radi Allahu anhu) who gave the
command of Durood Shareef to be recited before and after the Azaan.
Hazrat Salahud'deen Ayubi (radi Allahu anhu) was a very great and
pious King who liberated the Baitul Muqaddas. Great Muhaqiqeen and
Muhaditheen made Du'as for him.
7. Hazrat Qaazi Iyaz (radi Allahu anhu) said that it ispermissible to
read Durood Shareef at the time of Azaan. He says,"And from among the
occassions on which Durood should be sent, one of them is at the
timeof remembering him (Prophet Muhammad sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam), when taking or writing his blessed name or at the time of
Azaan." (Shifa Shareef)
8. Hazrat Mulla Ali Qaari (radi Allahu anhu) in his book "Fathul
Mueen" says that Durood should not only be recited before Azaan, but
also before theIqaamah.
9. Sheikh Kabeer Bakari (radi Allahu anhu) has stated that it is
desirable to recite Salaatus Salaam before the Azaan and the Iqaamah.

blessings be upon the Holy Prophet, his family, his companions and his
entire Ummah. Aameen./
5g] Conveying Rewards to the Deceased (Isaale Sawaab)
5g]
Observe the Hadeeth mentioned under number2 and 28 - it specifically
mentions the deceased leaving behind a copy of the Holy Qur'an. It is
very clear that when the heir will read from it, the reward will be
passed on to the deceased.!!!
We have also cited the practice of the Sahaba who used to gather at
thehouse of Syedna Anas, and that should suffice as proof.
As regards having 30 or so persons reading the Holy Qur'an separately,
it would not have been possible at the time of theHoly Prophet or the
Sahaba immediately after him since the Holy Qur'an was not compiled,
nor was it printed. The first compilation was hand written, and then
only a few manuscripts were copied for preservation. The number of
companions who had memorized the entire Qur'an were just a few. Also
most of the early companions knew the Qur'an only in small parts, and
that too not in the order we have it printed today. It would have thus
been very difficult for them to coordinate reciting the entire Holy
Qur'an in one sitting. The practice followed now is amatter of
convenience and in no way can be termed against Sunnah.
It is also a very convenient way for the poor Muslims (who cannot
afford charity, Hajj or sacrifice etc) to convey reward to their near
ones,by reciting alone, or by arranging such recitation in mosques,
homes etc.
We do not find any proof within Islamic Sources that forbid the
holding of the Qur'an Khwanee on the 3rd, 10th or 40th day. Nor is it
compulsory to doit on these very days. After all, this is a Mustahab
Act, not a compulsory act (which usually has a time limit). From the
prayers for the dead mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadeeth, thereis no
time limit. The Holy Prophets, and the Sahaba prayed for all Muslims,
no matter when they had died. The Holy Qur'an also commands us
likewise forour parents. However, these are scheduled for the
following reasons:
1. It is easier to remember. If not planned or programmed, it will
never be held. Look, the Holy Qur'an commands usto offer prayer, but
does not command us to put up notices within our mosques declaring the
congregation timings, or to announce the Azaan onloud speakers - but
we dothat although Muslims areaware of the 5 daily prayers.
2. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to
regularly visit the graves of the martyrs of Uhud regularly once every
week. He also exhorted others to visit Uhud, and greet the martyrs.
(See Hadeeth above). It is also mentioned that he offered charity on
their behalf. The actions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be
upon him) (i.e. visiting every week) are a very good example for us.
3. The 3rd day probably signifies the end of the permitted mourning
period (except for widows). It is also the lastday for people to pay
condolences. So the last thing to do before the mourning ends would
be, of course, to pray for the departed soul.
4. The 10th day means that a week has passed byafter the mourning
period. It is therefore chosen as a grim reminder.
5. The number 40 occurs in the Qur'an and Hadeethin many places. It is
an important number to indicate change from one state to another.
According to some Hadeeth, the fetus in the womb of a mother changes
from one state toanother every forty days. Holy Prophet Musa (peace be
upon him) was asked by Allah to spend forty nights at mount Sinai
(al-Baqarah 2:51). Bani Israil were kept wandering in the wilderness
of Sinai for forty years (al-Ma'idah 5:26). Holy Prophet Muhammad
(peace and blessings be upon him) was bestowed with revelation from
the Holy Qur'an at the age of forty. If 40 Muslims attend a funeral
and pray for the deceased's salvation, theirintercession will be
accepted by Allah. And there are many other important events in
history associated with the number 40. The 40th day also means that a
month has passed by since the last grim reminder.
6. The annual day speaks for itself. Another year haspassed -even for
the person who is alive.
Please note a person may be saddened by the loss ofsomeone near for
his entire life - there is nothing forbidden in it - but he may not
"mourn" the loss after 3 days (except in case of widows).
We must also remember that:
1. These are occasions of solemnity, and not ostentation or show.
2. The purpose should be seeking Allah';s pleasure, of conveying
reward to the departed soul, and praying for their salvation.
3. These occasions should serve as reminders of our own deaths and the
after life.
4. Giving charity to the needy & deserving, along with such
recitations, on behalf of the deceased is commendable.
5. The conveyance of reward not only benefits the deceased but also
has immense reward for the doers of the good, and they remind them of
the hereafter.:->

5f] Conveying Rewards to the Deceased (Isaale Sawaab)
5f]
Reciting the Holy Qur'an carries great reward, is one of the best
Sunnahs, and the number of Ahadeeth describing its merits are
numerous. The intention here is to list only the merits of gathering
to recite the Qur'an and supplicate - not to list the merits of
reading the Holy Qur'an itself.
Hadeeth 34
Abu Huraira (Allah be wellpleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger
(peace and blessings be upon him) as saying: He who alleviates the
suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would
alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of
Resurrection, and he who finds relief for onewho is hard pressed,
Allahwould make things easy for him in the Hereafter, and he who
conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah would conceal his faults
inthe world and in the Hereafter. Allah is at the back of a servant so
long as the servant is at the back of his brother, and he who treads
the path insearch of know- ledge, Allah would make that path easy,
leading to Paradise for him and those persons who assemble in the
house among the houses of Allah (mosques) and recitethe Book of Allah
and theylearn and teach the Qur'anthere would descend upon them the
tranquilityand mercy would cover them and the angels would surround
them andAllah makes a mention of them in the presence of those near
Him , and he who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (high) lineage
does not make him go ahead. (Muslim)
It is mentioned in Tafseer Rooh-ul-Bayan that when the recitation of
the Qur'an is completed, 4000angels say Aameen on thesupplication
after it, and they pray for the forgiveness of the reader(s).
Imam Nawawi mentions in "Al Azkaar" that the famous Sahabi Syedna Anas
(Allah be well pleased with him) used tocall people to his house
toattend the supplication after the completion of Holy Qur'an's
recitation.
Hadeeth 35
Abu Huraira (Allah be wellpleased with him) reported Allah's Apostle
(peace and blessings be upon him) as saying that Allah has mobile
squads of angels, who have no other work (to attend to) but to follow
the assemblies of Zikr and when they find such assemblies in which
there is Zikr (of Allah) they sit in them and some of them surround
the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of
the world is fully covered, and when they disperse (after the assembly
of Zikr is adjourned) they go upward to the heaven and Allah, the
Exalted andGlorious, asks them although He is best informed about
them: Where have you come from They say: We come from Your servants
upon the earth who had been glorifying You (reciting Subhan Allah),
uttering Your Greatness (saying Allah o-Akbar) and uttering Your
Oneness (La ilaha ill Allah) and praisingYou (uttering al-Hamdu
Lillah) and begging of You. He would say: What do they beg of Me They
would say: They beg of You the Your Paradise. He (Allah) would say:
Have they seen My Paradise They said: No, our Lord. He would say:
(What it would be then) if they were to see My Paradise They (the
angels) said: They seek Your protection. He (Allah) would say: Against
what do they seek My protection They (the angels) would say: Our Lord,
from the Hell-Fire. He (Allah) would say: Have they seen My Fire They
would say: No. He (Allah) would say: What it would be if they were to
see My Fire They would say: They beg of You forgiveness. He would say:
I grant pardon to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and
grant them protection against which they seek protection. They(the
angels) would again say: Our Lord, there is oneamongst them such and
such simple servant who happened to pass by (thatassembly) and sat
there along with them (who had been participating in that assembly).
He (Allah) would say: I also grant him pardon, for they are apeople
the seat-fellows ofwhom are in no way unfortunate - (Muslim, Bukhari,
Tirmizi, and Nasa'i)
Hadeeth 36
Reported Abu Huraira (Allah be well pleased with him), that the Holy
Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you pray for a
dead man, make your prayer sincere for him" (Abu Daud, Ibn Majah)
So what is the Islamic view of "Qur'an Khuwanee" ?Did the Holy Prophet
or the Sahaba do it in the manner of havingsay 30 people each reciting
one part of the Qur';an And what if is heldon particular days such as
(3rd, 10th, 40th, Annually etc)?
From the above we have proved that gathering to read the Holy Qur'an
(a very meritorious act) is of course permitted, and to convey the
reward (several types of meritorious acts) is commendable. When the
Hadeeth says it is commendable, we need not pursue as to whether there
is any "historical" evidence as to when and where it was actually
done. :->
