Da'eef (weak) hadeeths, Dought & clear, - * Ruling on sleeping after ‘Asr











What is the status of the hadeeth, “Whoever sleeps after ‘Asr and loses his mind has no one to blame except himself”?
-
Praise be to Allaah.
This hadeeth is da’eef jiddan (very weak).
Seeal-Maqdoo’aatby Ibn al-Jawzi, 3/69;al-La’aali’ al-Masnoo’ah by al-Suyooti, 2/279;Tarteeb al-Mawdoo’aatby al-Dhahabi, 839

What is the status of the hadeeth: “My Lord taught me good manners and He taught me well”?

Praise be to Allaah.
Ibn Taymiyah said: No proven isnaad is known for this.
SeeAhaadeeth al-Qisaas, 78. It was narrated by al-Shawkaani inal-Fawaa’id al-Majmoo’ah, 1020 and by al-Fitni inTadhkirah al-Mawdoo’aat, 87.
But its meaning is correct.
