*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

For children, - Allah is in every breath: Religious Poem for Children, Religious Stories for Kids

When things are down
And you are out of your mind
Remember just remember
Allah is The All-Kind.
When your life is in darkness
And nothing is right
Remember just remember
Through the darkness, Allah is The Light.
When nothing makes sense
And you're heading for demise
Remember just remember
Allah is The All-Wise.
When times are troubled
And no one seems to care
Remember just remember
Allah won't hurt you, He is The Most Just.
When your heart is breaking
And your pain makes you fall
Remember just remember
Allah sees it all.
When you are weak
And the road seems long
Remember just remember
Seek strength from The All-Strong.
When life is a burden
And everything is unstable
Remember just remember
Allah is The All-Able.
When the way is cloudy
And there is no one by your side
Remember just remember
Allah is The Only Guide.
When no one wants to listen
Or is willing to lend an ear
Remember just remember
Allah is always ready to hear.
When you are poor and penniless
And you are stuck in a niche
Remember just remember
Allah is The All-Rich.
When you are down in your misery
And there is nowhere to run
Remember just remember
You can always run to The One.
When you're all alone
And your pain has no end
Remember just remember
Allah is the Most Compassionate.
And when your scars are hurting
And your heart is in fear
Remember just remember
Allah's help is near.

Personal, - Zakaah and Hajj

Zakaah:
The Muslim women payZakaat)obligatory charity( on her wealth, if she is wealthy enough to be liable forZakaat.Every year at a specified time, she calculates how much she owns and pays what she has to, becauseZakaatis a pillar of Islam, and there can be no compromise or excuse when it comes to paying it every year, even if the amount comes to thousands or millions. It would never occur to the true Muslim woman to try to avoid paying some of theZakaatthat she is obliged to pay.
Zakaatis a clearly-defined financial obligation and act of worship which Allaah has enjoined upon every Muslim, man or women, who owns the minimum amount )Nisaab( or more. WithholdingZakaat, or denying that it is obligatory, is tantamount to apostasy and disbelief. The words of Abu Bakr, may Allaah be pleased with him, concerning the apostates who withheld theirZakaatecho down the centuries to us:"By Allaah I will fight whoever separates Salaat from Zakaat."
These immortal words demonstrate the greatness of this religion, which made the connection between "religious" and "secular" affairs, and reveal Abu Bakr's, may Allaah be pleased with him, deep understanding of the nature of this integrated, holistic way of life, which combines abstract beliefs with the practical application of their principles. Many verses of the Quran confirm the interdependence ofSalaah)prayer( andZakaatin the structure of faith:
}. . . Those who establish regular prayer and regular charity . . .{]Quran 5:55[
}And be steadfast in prayer: practice regular charity.{]Quran 2:43[
}. . . ]those who[ . . . establish prayers and regular charity.{]Quran 2:277[
It is clear to the true Muslim woman that Islam - although it has given her, the right to financial independence, and has not obliged her to support herself or others, which is, rather, the duty of men - has indeed enjoinedZakaaton her, and has madeZakaata right to which the poor are entitled. So the Muslim woman would not hesitate to pay it in the ways prescribed by Islam. She cannot claim to be excused because she is a woman and no woman is obliged to spend on others. Any woman who makes such a claim has a poor understanding of Islam, her faith is weak and there is some fault in her personality. Or else she is a woman, who appears to be religious, but she is ignorant and negligent, or is stingy and loves money, and it would never occur to her to payZakaateven though she fasts, prays and performsHajj, and occasionally gives a small charitable donation from her great wealth. These types of women - ignorant or stingy - are nothing like the true Muslim woman as envisaged by Islam. In which part of the month he would fast.'"
Hajj:
The true Muslim woman intends to go onHajj)pilgrimage( to the House of Allaah when conditions are fulfilled )she is financially and physically able to do so and has aMahramto travel with(. Before she sets out on her journey, she takes the time to study the rules ofHajjin depth, so that when she begins to perform the rituals ofHajj, her actions will be based on true understanding and herHajjwill be complete according to the conditions laid down by the Islam.Hajjfor women is the equivalent ofJihaadfor men, as the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, described it in the following narration reported by `Aa'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her:"I ]`Aa'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her[ said: `O Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, can we )women( not go out on military expeditions and fight in Jihaad with you )men(?' He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said,`You )women( have the best of Jihaad, and the best of it is Hajj, an accepted Hajj.'"`Aa'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, said,"I should never stop going for Hajj after I heard this from the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam."
`Umrah:
Just asHajjis obligatory for the Muslim woman, so also is `Umrah, if she is able to go. `UmrahduringRamadan, is especially important because its reward is equivalent to that for performingHajjwith the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. Ibn `Abbaas, may Allaah be pleased with him, who said:"When the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, came back from Hajj, he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said to Umm Sinaan Al-Ansariyyah, may Allaah be pleased with her,`What stopped you from going to Hajj?'She said, `Abu )so-and-so - meaning her husband( has two camels; he took one to go to Hajj, and we needed the other to irrigate our land.' He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said,`When Ramadan comes, go for `Umrah, because `Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj.'"According to another report also narrated by Ibn `Abbaas, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:"For `Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to )performing( Hajj with me."]Al-Bukhaari[

Personal, - Using Pills to Delay the Monthly Period

ShareShare
Question:
I would like to go and perform‘Umrahat the end ofRamadan. However, this will coincide with my monthly period, which usually lasts for 10 days. Can I take some pills to delay my monthly period? Do these pills have any side-effects? What pills can you recommend for this purpose? Would consuming these pills hinder me from having children when I get married in the future?
Answer:
Assalaamu ‘Alaykum, dear sister Nada.
You can use Primolet-N. Start taking these at least one week before your monthly period begins and continue through the last days ofRamadan. These pills will have no side-effects if used for such a short period, nor will they have any long-term effects for when you get married.

Personal, - Your Time During Ramadan

ShareShare

Time is the essence of life, and man’s life is but the seconds and minutes he/she lives. Every hour we live through in this life takes us that much closer to our destiny in the Hereafter.
Even though time is the most precious item in our lives )or at least it should be( and we should be guarding it with all the power we possess, it seems to be the easiest thing that we can squander!
One would never allow anyone to steal his wealth, but when it comes to our time, it is disgraceful that we seem to have no problem in allowing others to rob us of what they wish of it - and we might at times even help them do so! This is indeed a grave calamity because wealth can be recovered while one can never retrieve even a second of his lost time, regardless of the efforts he would spend in doing so.
This is why the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, described the one who wastes his time as a loser.Ibn ‘Abbaas, may Allaah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:“There are two blessings in which many people incur loss. )They are( health and free time.”]Al-Bukhaari[ The one who uses his merchandise )in this case being his time and health( carelessly, gaining worldly profit while he wastes it, will be a loser on the Day of Resurrection. The vast majority of people do not take proper care of both these matters, with the result that they waste their time in useless activities and spend their physical strength and energy in the disobedience of Allaah. They will have to face the stern consequences of this on the Day of Resurrection when they will be brought to account for everything.
The great importance of time is magnified during virtuous seasons and blessed times, such as the great season of the blessed month ofRamadan. It is a great opportunity to gain multiplied rewards and accumulate tremendous profit. Therefore, it becomes compulsory upon one to utilize his/her time carefully during this month.
A regrettable phenomenon which has become noticeably widespread among people is that they spend their time during this month wastefully in social gatherings, shopping, or watching satellite television channels. Many years may pass while the months ofRamadanduring which they would have lived through would have had no impact on many Muslim sisters. No mistakes would have been corrected. No new virtuous deeds would have been adopted and practiced, and no misconducts would have been changed.
Every sister should reevaluate her situation and the strength of her faith if she truly wishes to please Allaah and hope for His reward in the Hereafter. She must be firm with herself and determined to improve and reform herself by utilizing every minute of this coming month in things that would yield fruitful results for her and bring her closer to her Lord.
Many people do realize the importance and value of time. However this knowledge often does not go beyond the knowledge stage and is never translated into action. The implications of such knowledge that affects the behavior, worship and conduct of the person, is very often not realized. Thus, we are requested to move to the next step and transform our knowledge into real life actions which would be manifested in our daily practice. The following are some tips on how sisters can utilize their time during the month ofRamadan:
Planning:Plan what you want to do during the entire month as well as what you wish to accomplish. Set clear objectives to achieve these and establish a plan of action with a timetable for each task you wish to perform, as well as every objective you hope to achieve. Plan every day and night: when you will go to bed and when you will wake up, and everything in between. Make a schedule for reciting the Quran and prayingTaraweeh. Set aside an amount to be spent in charity.
Remember! If you do not set clear goals, you will end up wasting a great deal of your precious time during this month and a lot of hours will pass uselessly.
Set your priorities:You must decide when you want to do things, and which objective should be accomplished first. Make up your mind on what is more important and what takes the highest priority. It is important to spend time doing things that are beneficial, but what is more important is to prioritize and spend time doing the more important of these beneficial things. This is because one of the plots of Satan is to busy the person with something beneficial with a very low priority in order to waste his chance of accomplishing what is more important.
Preserve your time:You must stay away from anything that wastes time or leads to it, such as talking on the phone purposelessly, frequent visits, going out of the house too much, or watching TV for long periods. Also, we must get others who know us to respect our time and privacy. People should know that they must have an appointment before coming to visit, and that visiting is not an open issue to be done any time and any day.
You must be realistic when trying to utilize your time. Many sisters get carried away and overload their time with tasks to be accomplished, only to be surprised later on that the time allocated was not enough to accomplish these tasks. This usually has a negative impact on the sister’s zeal and could lead to disillusionment.
Choose the right time to do things:Things that do not require close and deep concentration can be done in any part of the day. For example, while you are cooking you can busy yourself with mentioning Allaah, glorifying and praising Him or listening to lectures or Quran cassettes )or CDs(. On the other hand, there are things that necessitate concentration on the part of the sister, such as praying and reciting the Quran. You must do things at their proper times according to what they require from you.
Do not delay things:Be keen to not delay things to later times, because you may be struck with death at any moment and would therefore never get around to doing what you have delayed. Delaying is one of the worst mistakes man can make and is one of the most lethal weapons the devil uses against us.‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-‘Azeez, may Allaah have mercy upon him, was told once to delay the work of a day to the next due to his exhaustion, to which he replied:“One day’s tasks overburden me, so how would I be able to handle the load of two days together?”
Finally, intend to do things sincerely for Allaah and seek His help and support in accomplishing your goals during this blessed month. Be in the company of those who have the zeal to work and fruitfully utilize their time. Always remember that if time is not spent righteously, it will be spent otherwise. Know that every minute has its own task, so make proper use of your time and spend it in things that would benefit you in this life and the Hereafter. Fill your record of good deeds with as much reward as you can before the month slips away.

Fathwa, - {Conflictsamong family members}, - Trying to make peace between brothers

ShareShare
↓Question
There are some family problems between my husband and his brother. This family is a very lovely and religious family, but things happened to be hard and made these two brothers get in a big fight. My concern is that always solved small problems between them but this last one two months ago was the biggest. My brother in-law cursed, threatened, and tried to attack our house with a hammer. Since then the family was splitting. My turn came and I was trying to make things better but in a way to keep my husband calm because he went through allot. My question is: do I get blamed in the religion if I do things behind by husband just to make them go back to each other with no problems? For example, if I spoke with him without telling my husband or if I lied to my husband telling him good things his brother did or any thing to make things better, please I really need an answer for this thing.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Making conciliation between two quarreling parties is among the great good deeds. Allah Says )interpretation of meaning( in this concern: }"There is no good in most of their secret talks save )in( him who orders Sadaqah )charity in Allah's Cause(, or Ma'raf )Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained(, or conciliation between mankind; and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allah, We shall give him a great reward."{]4:114[. Your efforts and aspiration to settle the dispute between the two brothers is highly encouraged and you will be rewarded for that. Lying to make peace between two parties is permissible. Therefore, there is no harm to lie to your husband for that purpose provided this does not cause any harm or lead to greater harms. You may seek help of good people or other respected family members who can settle the matters. Allah knows best.

Fathwa, - {Conflictsamong family members}, - Do not interfere in domestic affairs

ShareShare

Question
This person married my sister. He is a reserved type. He does not like to mix around with his in-laws side that is his wife relatives but then he wants his wife to mix with his side. He gets irritated and angry when his wife speaks to her own maternal uncles etc. He also likes to insult and pass sarcastic remarks on people whom in some majlis he likes to create trouble especially at his wife's side. This is causing a lot of unhappiness and misery at our family functions. Advise him, no improvement. He gets jealous easily when my sister mixed around with her side. But he is friendly, nice with his family and friends only. How to change his bad characters. What advise should be given to him according to Quran and Hadith. He does not allow my sister to talk or visit her own brother and he is very authoritative against her. My relatives are trying to avoid him. My poor sister on the other hand is a very nice and polite person with good qualities. Please help her and my family and Dua for us. Recently he went thru some problems but no change in him. My family and my sister are being very patient.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Islam legislated marriage for the achievement of great religious purposes, the most important of which is the stability of life.
Allahsays:"And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect." )Ar-Rum 30:21(
So, both of the spouses have to make their effort to achieve this. If any problem that hinders their life happens, they have to resort to the Shariah to solve that. The husband has to help his wife establish good relations with her kinship in kindness, and should recognize his in-laws rights on him, and he has to do his best to be kind with them.
However, it is obligatory on the wife to obey her husband. If the latter prohibits his wife from visiting her family, she has to obey him. This obedience becomes more obligatory if the visit contains a Haram thing or causes any harm.
But ordering his wife to visit his relatives and mix with them in a way that causes temptation, is not permissible, she does not have to obey him, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobeying the Creator.
Anyway, we advise you not to interfere with what is going on between your sister and her husband in matters like those mentioned in the question. Because it is more appropriate for the husband to look into the interests of his wife, especially that she is patient about what could happen to her from his side and bears his shortcomings.
However, you have to advise him about his mockery about some people, and about his causing some trouble. This is his right on you as a Muslim.
The prophet said: "Religion is advice," reported byMuslim.
Allah knows best.

Fathwa, - {Conflictsamong family members}, - Suffering because his parents are bickering about getting a divorce

ShareShare

Question
I am 15 and my parents have nothing worked out together and they are planning a divorce. I see a lot of problems in front like shouting and bad words. I feel really bad. I feel that I'm getting sick from inside from all this that I see with my eyes and it will change a lot in my life. I don't know what to do. Please help me.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammadis His slave and Messenger.
We supplicate Allaah to dispel your grief, remove your sorrow and reconcile your parents. We guide you to some important matters:
First, supplicate Allaah as much as possible to reconcile your parents. Make supplications at the recommended times when supplications are more likely to be responded to, such as the last third of the night, during prostration, between Athaan and Iqaamah, and the like.
Second, arrange separate meetings with each of your parents and let them know your feelings regarding the unhappy incidents that are taking place. Try to address them in an appealing way and express your feelings, probably they may become soft and prepare to settle their disputes.
Third, try to convince them to appoint some wise and reliable persons from their families or scholars to look into their matters and settle them.
Fourth, they should be reminded of Allaah and His commands about being good with one's spouse. Allaah says )interpretation of meaning(: }…And due to them ]i.e. the wives[ is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable….{]2:228[. Your mother especially should be reminded of that her husband is her caretaker and should be obeyed. Allaah says )interpretation of meaning(: }Men are in charge of women by ]right of[ what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend ]for maintenance[ from their wealth…..{]4:34[.
On the other hand, your father should be reminded of the commands of Allaah that encourage a husband to be kind-hearted and cordial with his wife as proved from the Prophetthat he commanded: "Be kind to women )i.e. wives(." ]Muslim[

Discover Islam, - The role of reptiles in the origin of mammals

ShareShare

Evolutionists claim that mammals evolved from reptiles but the anatomical and physical differences between the two are unbridgeable. Mammals are warm-blooded )they regulate and maintain their own body temperature(, give birth, suckle their young and their bodies have fur or hair. Reptiles on the other hand are cold-blooded )cannot regulate body temperature on their own and their body temperature alters according to the environment(, reproduce by hatching eggs, do not suckle their offspring and their bodies have scales.
The hypothetical claim of such widely differing species developing from one into the other needs some serious explaining. For instance, how can the cold-blooded metabolism of a reptile change over time into a warm-blooded one, which produces and regulates its own body heat? How is it that creatures laying eggs can develop a complex life-supporting placenta and begin to give birth to their young? Or how can it be that the hard, scaly skin of a reptile can become a furred one? Most importantly, how can the transitory forms sustain their species and survive this imaginary gradual transition?
The chances of survival of a creature that is half-warm half cold-blooded, laying eggs as well as producing a placenta, having scales as well as fur is negligible. Nevertheless, evolutionists believe that such creatures existed in the past and continue to stubbornly defend the claim that mammals evolved, even though they cannot find any scientific evidence for it. The only thing they can do is to tell tales, paint impressive pictures from the imagination and neatly line up the excavated fossils, thereby trying to prove this imaginary transition.
The theory of evolution proposes that some imaginary creatures came out of the sea and transformed into reptiles, then birds were formed by the evolution of reptiles. According to the same scenario, reptiles are the ancestors not only of birds but also of mammals.
However, there are major structural differences between reptiles and mammals -- reptiles are cold-blooded, have scales on their bodies and reproduce by laying eggs; on the other hand, mammals are warm-blooded, have fur or hair on their bodies, and reproduce by giving birth to their offspring alive.
An example of the structural discrepancies between reptiles and mammals is their jaw structure. The mandibles of mammals consist of only one mandibular bone and the teeth are placed on this bone. In reptiles, there are three little bones on both sides of the mandible. Another basic difference is that all mammals have three bones in their middle ear )hammer, anvil and stirrup(. In all reptiles, there is a single bone in the middle ear.
Evolutionists claim that the reptilian jaw and middle ear evolved gradually into the mammalian jaw and ear. Yet, the question of how this change occurred remains unanswered. In particular, the question of how an ear with a single bone evolved into an ear with three bones and how the process of hearing kept on functioning in the meantime can never be explained. Not surprisingly, not a single fossil to link reptiles and mammals is to be found. This is why evolutionist paleontologist Roger Levin was forced to say that: “the transition to the first mammals, which probably happened in just one or, at most two lineages, is still an enigma.”
George Gaylord Simpson, one of the biggest authorities on evolution and among the founders of the neo-Darwinist theory makes the following comment on this fact that is quite perplexing for evolutionists:
"The most puzzling event in the history of life on earth is the change from the Mesozoic, the Age of Reptile, to the Age of Mammals. It is as if the curtain were rung down suddenly on the stage where all the leading roles were taken by reptiles, especially dinosaurs, in great numbers and bewildering variety, and rose again immediately to reveal the same setting but an entirely new cast, a cast in which the dinosaurs do not appear at all, other reptiles are supernumeraries, and all the leading parts are played by mammals of sorts barely hinted at in the preceding acts."
Furthermore, when mammals suddenly made their appearance, they were already very different from each other. Such dissimilar animals as bats, horses, mice and whales are all mammals and they all emerged during the same geological period. Establishing an evolutionary relationship among them is impossible even within the broadest boundaries of the imagination.
Evolutionist zoologist R. Eric Lombard makes this point in an article that appeared inEvolutionmagazine:
"Those searching for specific information useful in constructing phylogenies of mammalian taxa will be disappointed."
All these facts demonstrate that living beings appeared on earth suddenly and fully formed, without any evolutionary process. This is concrete evidence of the fact that they were created. However, evolutionists try to interpret the fact that living species came into existence in a particular order as an indication of evolution. Yet, the sequence by which living things emerged is the “order of creation”, since it is not possible to speak of an ''evolutionary process". With a superior and flawless creation, oceans and then lands were filled with living things and finally man was created.
Contrary to the “ape man” story imposed on the masses thanks to the intense media propaganda, man also emerged on earth suddenly and fully formed.

Discover Islam, - The desperate efforts of neo-Darwinism

ShareShare

To counter the setback to Darwin's theory, neo-Darwinists propose fantastic new scenarios
The crisis surroundingDarwin’s theory deepened because of the laws of genetics discovered in the first quarter of the 20thcentury CE. An Austrian monk,Gregor Mendel, published his work in the proceedings of the local society of naturalists in Brünn, Austria )now Brno, Czech Republic(, in 1866 CE, but none of his contemporaries appreciated its significance. It was not until 1900 CE, 16 years after Mendel's death, that his work was rediscovered independently byHugo de Vriesin Holland,Carl Erich Corrensin Germany, andErich Tschermak von Seyseneggin Austria.
Like several investigators before him, Mendel experimented on hybrids of different varieties of a plant. Mendel investigated the common pea plant )Pisum sativum(. His methods differed in two essential respects from those of his predecessors. First, instead of trying to describe the appearance of whole plants with all their characteristics, Mendel followed the inheritance of single, easily visible and distinguishable traits, such as round versus wrinkled seed, yellow versus green seed, purple versus white flowers, etc. Second, he made exact counts of the numbers of plants bearing this or that trait; it was from such quantitative data that he deduced the rules governing inheritance.
Nevertheless, a group of scientists who were determined to remain loyal to Darwin endeavoured to come up with solutions. They came together at a meeting organized by the Geological Society of America in 1941 CE. Geneticists such as G. Ledyard Stebbins and Theodosius Dobzhansky, zoologists such as Ernst Mayr and Julian Huxley, paleontologists such as George Gaylord Simpson and Glenn L. Jepsen and mathematical geneticists such as Ronald Fisher and Sewall Right, after long discussions finally agreed on ways to “patch up” Darwinism.
This cadre focused on the question of the origin of the advantageous variations that supposedly caused living organisms to evolve – an issue that Darwin himself was unable to explain but simply tried to side-step -- by depending on Lamarck. The idea they now focused on, was “random mutations”. They named this new theory “The Modern Synthetic Evolution Theory”, which was formulated by adding the concept of mutation to Darwin’s natural selection thesis. In a short time, this theory came to be known as “neo-Darwinism” and those who put forward the theory were called “neo-Darwinists”.
The following decades were to become an era of desperate attempts to prove neo-Darwinism. It was already known that mutations – or “accidents” – that took place in the genes of living organisms were always harmful. Neo-Darwinists tried to establish a case for “advantageous mutation” by carrying out thousands of mutation experiments. All their attempts ended in complete failure.
They also tried to prove that the first living organisms could have originated by chance under primitive terrestrial conditions that the theory posited but the same failure attended these experiments too. Every experiment that sought to prove that life could be generated by chance failed. Probability calculations prove that not even a single protein, the building-blocks of life, could have originated by chance. And the cell -- which supposedly emerged by chance under primitive and uncontrolled terrestrial conditions according to evolutionists – could not be synthesized by even the most sophisticated laboratories of the 20thcentury CE.
Neo-Darwinist theory is also defeated by fossil records. No “transitional forms”, which were supposed to show the gradual evolution of living organisms from primitive to advanced species as the neo-Darwinist theory claimed, have ever been found anywhere in the world. At the same time, comparative anatomy revealed that species that were supposed to have evolved from one another had in fact very different anatomical features and that they could never have been ancestors or descendants of each other.
Neo-Darwinism was never a scientific theory anyway, but was an ideological dogma that was elevated to the status of a pseudo “religion” by evolution scientists. This is why the champions of the theory of evolution still go on defending it in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. However, they cannot agree on one point to prove the "truth" behind Darwinism and have proposed many different models to facilitate the realization of evolution as the “right” one. One of the most important of these models is the fantastic scenario known as “punctuated equilibrium”.
Even a layman taking an objective look at the neo-Darwinist theories that are being propagated with such fierce fanaticism, realizes how implausible they appear. When so-called 'rational' scientists adhere to them ignoring common-sense and scientific proof alike, one is forced to wonder whether there is something other than Science at stake.

Discover Islam, - The design in color

ShareShare

Coloris a concept that helps us to identify the properties of objects and define them more precisely. Reflecting on the colors of objects around us, we cannot help but notice what a variety of detailed colors we are surrounded by. Everything -- animate or inanimate -- has a particular color. Living creatures of the same species have the same pattern of colors everywhere in the world. No matter where you go, the color of the flesh of a water-melon is always red, kiwi-fruits are always green, seas are always the same interchanging shades of blue and green, snow is always pristine white, lemons are yellow, the gray color of elephants is the same in any part of the world as are the colors of trees. They never change. This goes for artificially produced colors as well. Wherever you go on the earth, if you mix red with yellow, you will get orange or if you mix black and white you will get gray. The result is always the same.
How are the colors of objects formed?
We can explain this by an example. Imagine that you walk into a store and see fabrics of different designs and models, the colors of which blend harmoniously with each other. Surely, those fabrics did not come there by chance: conscious people drafted their designs, determined their colors, subjected them to a number of dyeing processes and after putting them through many other intermediate stages, displayed them in that store. In short, the existence of these fabrics depends on the people who designed and manufactured them. This design is manifested in every stage -- from the formation of light to its becoming a colorful image in our brain. This is one of the greatest evidences of the existence of an Owner, that is, a Designer of the design in colors.
Light brings colors to life
Sunlight is the only source of heat and light on earth, supplying all life-forms with heat by radiating energy and helping plants with photosynthesis. The existence of daylight and a colorful world depend on the rays emitted from the sun.
Light striking matter
Light coming from the sun reaches the earth at a speed of 300,000 km per second. Owing to the speed of light, we always see a world full of color. This leads to the question: how is this uninterrupted image formed, that enables vision?
Light from the sun passes through the atmosphere at enormous speed, reaches the earth and strikes objects. When light strikes an object at this speed, it interacts with the atoms of the object and reflects at different wavelengths corresponding to different colors. In this way, the view you see when you look outside: trees, buildings, cars, the sky, birds, cats, in short everything your eyes see, reflect their colors.
The molecules enabling these colors to be reflected are pigment molecules and the color reflected by an object depends on the pigment molecules present in it. Every pigment molecule has a different atomic structure, varying atomic number and a different sequence of arrangement of atoms. Light hitting such diverse pigments is reflected in different shades of color. However, this is not enough for the formation of color. In order to be seen, reflected light possessing a certain color quality has to reach a visual apparatus capable of perceiving it.
Light reaching the eye
In order to be perceived as color, rays reflected by objects should reach the eye. The existence of the eye is not sufficient in itself. After reaching the eye, the rays ought to be converted into nerve signals that reach a brain working in harmony with the eyes.
Let us think about our own eyes and brains as the closest example. The human eye is a very complex structure that consists of many different parts. As a result of the simultaneous and harmonious functioning of all these parts, we see and perceive colors. In addition to the extraordinary nerve web that establishes its connection to the brain and an extremely complex vision area, the eye has a very special structure, the existence of which cannot be attributed to mere coincidence.
The perception of color begins with the cone cells in the retina. There are three main cone cell groups that strongly react to certain colors of light. These are classified as blue, green and red cone cells. The colors red, blue and green to which cone cells react, are the three primary colors existing in nature. With the stimulation of cone cells )which are sensitive to these three colors( at different degrees, millions of different colors appear.
The cone cells convert this information into nerve impulses through the pigments they contain. Next, nerve cells connected to these cone cells transmit the nerve impulses to a specific area in the brain. The place where the multi-colored world that we view throughout our lives is formed is this area in the brain, measuring just a few square centimeters.
A colorful world within our dark brain
The final stage in the formation of color takes place in the brain. Nerve cells in the eye convey the images that have been converted into nerve impulses to the brain. Everything we see in the outer world is perceived in the vision center of the brain. At this point, we are confronted with an amazing fact: the brain is a piece of flesh, an organ that is completely dark inside! External objects create images on the retina of the eye, which are converted into nerve impulses and are deciphered in the brain, which is completely dark inside. Images of objects )with their colors and all other properties( are formed as perceptions at this visual center. How does this process of perception take place in what is essentially, a piece of soft meat?
A lot of questions remain regarding how colors are perceived. Chromatists are still unable to answer certain questions, such as how nerve impulses are transmitted to the brain via optic nerves and what kind of physiological effect this creates in the brain. All they know is that the perception of colors as realities takes place within us, that is, at the center of vision in our brain.
The brain has been fulfilling all its functions perfectly since the moment man came into existence, just as it does today. Unlike other life-forms, human beings experience a three dimensional world in its entirety, with its myriad colors, designs, sounds, smells and tastes due to a 'piece of flesh' weighing one kilogram – an accomplishment that is made possible only by the perfect creation of Allaah. Everyone finds this matchless miracle of creation ready at birth. Man has no control whatsoever, either in the development of its functions or in their continuity, or at any other stage.

Dought & clear, - (Knowledge ), - The knowledge required by one who calls people to Allaah, may He be exalted

ShareShare

What is the knowledge needed by the one who calls people to Allaah, and who enjoins what is good and forbids what is evil?.
Praise be to Allaah.
It is essential for the person who calls people to Allaah, and enjoins what is good and forbids what is evil to have knowledge because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): This is my way; I invite unto Allaah (i.e. to the Oneness of Allaah — Islamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allaah, i.e. to the Oneness of Allaah — Islamic Monotheism with sure knowledge)”
[Yoosuf 12:108].
Knowledge is what Allaah says in His Holy Book, or what His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) says in his saheeh Sunnah. So one should learn the holy Qur'aan and the Sunnah, to find out what Allaah has enjoined and what Allaah has forbidden, and to know the way in which the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) called people to Allaah and denounced evil, and the way in which his Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them) called people. He can gain insight into that by studying the books of hadeeth, and paying attention to the holy Qur'aan, and studying the words of the scholars on this topic, because they discussed it in great depth and explained what is obligatory.
The one who wants to set himself up as a caller must pay attention to this matter, so that he will have proper insight into the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him), so that he will put things in their right places: he will call people to good when it is appropriate, and enjoin what is good when it is appropriate, with insight and knowledge, so that he will not denounce evil in a way that is more evil than it, and so that he will not enjoin what is good in a manner that will result in an evil worse than not doing the good thing to which he is calling people.
The point is that it is essential for him to have knowledge so that he will do things properly.

Dought & clear, - (Knowledge ), - He wants to study genetics; is there anything wrong with that in shar‘i terms?

ShareShare

I am a student in the faculty of sciences and I want to choose a specialty that will not conflict with Islam. What do you think of specialising in genetics? Is it permissible for me to choose this specialty?.
Praise be to Allaah.
Every branch of knowledge that people need in their religious or worldly affairs is not forbidden in and of itself with regard to studying, learning and understanding. But what is of concern is how this knowledge is used and applied. There is nothing wrong with studying accountancy – for example – but the problem is with the practical application of it in the real life financial world, such as working in riba-based banks and other institutions. The same may also be said concerning medicine. It is a branch of knowledge that is very important and people cannot do without it, but sometimes in real life it is used for things that are forbidden in Islam, such as cosmetic surgery for the purpose of beautification, abortions, and so on.
The same may be said concerning the science of genetics, which is defined inal-Mu‘jam al-Waseet(2/1024) as the science which examines the transmission of characteristics in living beings from one generation to another and explaining the way this occurs. It is an important branch of knowledge, one of the greatest benefits of which is knowledge of hereditary diseases and how to protect against them and treat them. It may also be used for beneficial purposes in plants and animals. But at the same time there is room for those who are toying with what is called cloning. We have discussed a little about what is permitted and what is forbidden with regard to cloning and genetic engineering in the answers to questions no. 103335and 21582.
What matters then is not the theoretical study of genetics; rather it is the practical application thereof. Whatever is permissible and beneficial is encouraged by Islam, and whatever is haraam and harmful, is forbidden by Islam.
In a conference of the Islamic Association of Medical Sciences in Kuwait, which was held under the heading, “Genetics, Genetic Engineering, the Human Genome and Gene Therapy: an Islamic View,” with the participation of the Islamic Fiqh Council in Jeddah, the Local Chapter of the World Health Organization in Alexandria, and the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture, which was held during the period 23-25 Jumaada al-Aakhirah 1419 AH/13-15 October 1998 CE, the following statement was issued:
Islam is the religion of science and knowledge, as it says in the verse in which Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say: ‘Are those who know equal to those who know not?’”
[al-Zumar 39:2].
Islam does not hold the human mind back from beneficial scientific research, but it is not permissible for the results of this research to be put into practice until they have been measured against Islamic guidelines. Whatever is in accordance with sharee‘ah is permitted, and whatever goes against it is not permitted. The science of genetics with its various aspects – as with all additions to knowledge – is something that Islam encourages and Muslim scientists should be in the forefront of it.
End quote.
And Allah knows best.
