What should a person doif he sneezes during the Jumu'ah khutbah
(sermon)? Should he say "al-hamdu Lillah"?.
Praise be to Allaah.
If a person who is listening to the khutbah (sermon) on Friday
sneezes, he should say "al-hamdu Lillah (praise be to Allah)" quietly
to himself. If anyone hears him, it is not permissible for him to say
to him "Yarhamuk Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)".
It says in al-Mudawwanah (1/230): Maalik said concerning someone who
sneezes when the imam is delivering the khutbah that he should say
"al-hamdu Lillah" quietly to himself. No one should say "Yarhamuk
Allah" to the one who sneezed when the imam is delivering the khutbah.
End quote.
Al-Mirdaawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:It is permissible for
him to say Ameen to the du'aa' and to say "al-hamdulillah" silently if
he sneezes. End quote from al-Insaaf, 2/418
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If he sneezes, he
has to praise Allah (say "al-hamdu Lillah") to himself and not raise
his voice.
End quote from Majmoo'al-Fataawa, 12/411
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a member
of the congregation sneezes onFriday, he should say "al-hamdulillah"
silently. If he says it out loud and the people around him hear him,
it is not permissible for them to say "Yarhamuk Allah" to him.
End quote from ash-Sharh al-Mumti', 5/109
And Allah knows best.

*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -*
-
Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Jumma Prayers - , Sneezing During Friday Sermon.
Jumma Prayers - , He works as a receptionist in a block offurnished apartments; does he have an excuse for not praying Jumu‘ah or offering the prayers in congregation in the mosque?.
I live in one of the Gulf countries, and I work as a receptionist in a
block of furnished apartments. There is a mosque fifty meters away from
me, and I can hear the adhaan and iqaamah very well, but I cannot go
because my boss doesnot agree, and he says that someone may come to
rent an apartment during the prayer time, and he says: Pray here; itis
permissible. (So I pray in the reception area with a cleaner who works
with me in the apartment block. Please note that this cleaner was
Hindu and he became Muslim – praise be to Allah – and he and I pray in
the reception room in the apartment block). And we share Jumu'ah: one
time I go to Jumu'ah prayer, and the next time this worker goes,
because we cannot leave the place with no one in the reception area.
Please note that I could go without my boss knowing, but I am
afraidthat if I go to offer the obligatory prayers in themosque and I
leave the reception area and I leave that worker there, a renter who
is single may come with a woman and take her into the apartment, and
the Indian worker does not understand what is going on. That happened
to me once but – praise be to Allah – I prevented any evil happening,
and Allah is witness to what I say.
I could leave this job, because I am not sponsored by the boss with
whom I work, but I think that perhaps I am here and I could
preventproblems of zina that could happen, Allah forbid.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
The basic principle is that prayers should be offered in congregation
in the mosque, where the call is given. It is permissible to pray in
congregation in the workplace if the workers going to the mosque will
lead to the work being affected. This has been discussed in the answer
to question no. 74978
With regard to praying Jumu'ah, it is more important and the
obligation is more emphatic; it is not permissible to miss it except
within very strict guidelines, such as the risk of damage or harm, or
if there is an interest to be served for the Muslims, such as dealing
with emergencies in hospitals, and the like. This has been discussed
in the answer to question no. 36530
Based on that, you have to go to Jumu'ah, and advise the owner of the
apartments and explain that it is not permissible to stay away from
Jumu'ah, and he will not be harmed by the loss of a few customers;
many customers, if they find the building locked, will come back after
the prayer. You should go out to Jumu'ah just before the adhaan, and
go to a nearby mosque where the khutbah is not too long.
And Allah knows best.

Islamic Stories -, The Miraculous Goat
Once there lived a very pious elderly lady namedFiddah. She was kind
and generous and always remembered Allah (SWT). One day Shaikh
Abu-ar-Rabie (RA)went to her village. He had been told that she had a
goat that gave both milk and honey. He bought a new bowl and went to
see the goat. When he got there, he was shown the goat andhe milked
it. Sure enough, sweet white milk came gushing out. Shaikh
Abu-ar-Rabie (RA)drank to his fill and thenhe asked they got the goat.
She narrated to him an amazing story.
She said, "There was a time when we were verypoor and had nothing but
a she-goat. When Eid-ul-Adha came around, my husband suggested that we
sacrifice the goat and have a feast. The she-goat was our only means
of sustenance so Ireminded my husband that Allah has not made it
necessary for us to sacrifice an animal under such circumstances.
Therefore, we spared the goat till the next Eid-ul-Adha. As chance
would have it, we had a guest on that very same day. Since Allah has
commanded us to entertain our guests, I asked my husband if he would
now slaughter the animal and I would cook its meat for our guests. My
husband tookthe goat outside behind a wall, lest the children should
cry on seeing it killed. A little while later another goat appeared
bearing an exact resemblance to our own.By Allah! This was a blessing.
A miraculous she-goat that yields bothmilk and honey was sentdown to
us as recompense for feeding our guests."
Lady Fiddah often reminded her children that the goat feeds on what
grows in their hearts. "So long as your hearts continue to be noble
and un-tarnished by evil, its milk will remain good and sweet, but as
soon as your hearts become false, its milk will also turn bad. Guard
your hearts against evil and Allah SWT will make everything beneficial
foryou."

Islamic Stories -, Horse of Paradise
Hadrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (RA) reports that a desertArab came to the
Holy Prophet (SAW) and submitted: "O Prophet ofAllah, I am very fond
of horses. Will there be horses in heaven?" The Holy Prophet
observed:"If you were sent to Paradise, you would be given a horse
made of emerald. The horse will have two wings. You would mount the
horse and it would fly you to where ever it might be your pleasure to
go." Source: Tirmidhi.
This horse will be an aircraft in Heaven. The worldly aircraft is
designed like a fish, whereas the heavenly aircraft will be in the
form of a horse. The worldly aircraft is made of aluminum; the
heavenly aeroplane will be made of emerald! (Comments from"Spectacle
of Death").
