*- WHAT ISLAM SAYS -* - Islam is a religion of Mercy, Peace and Blessing. Its teachings emphasize kind hear tedness, help, sympathy, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and care.Qur’an, the Shari’ah and the life of our beloved Prophet (SAW) mirrors this attribute, and it should be reflected in the conduct of a Momin.Islam appreciates those who are kind to their fellow being, and dislikes them who are hard hearted, curt, and hypocrite.Recall that historical moment, when Prophet (SAW) entered Makkah as a conqueror. There was before him a multitude of surrendered enemies, former oppressors and persecutors, who had evicted the Muslims from their homes, deprived them of their belongings, humiliated and intimidated Prophet (SAW) hatched schemes for his murder and tortured and killed his companions. But Prophet (SAW) displayed his usual magnanimity, generosity, and kind heartedness by forgiving all of them and declaring general amnesty...Subhanallah. May Allah help us tailor our life according to the teachings of Islam. (Aameen)./-

Dought & clear, - He committed zina during one of the nights of Ramadan and he wants to repent

- -

- -
One of my friends had sex with a girl during one of the nights of Ramadaan. He is single and is asking about the ruling and what he has to do.
Praise be to Allaah.
If what is meant is that he committed zina –Allaah forbid – then zina is a major sin and a serious offence. Allaah has warned us against it and stated that it leads to bad consequences. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin), and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah forgives him)”
[al-Isra’ 17:32]
Allaah has decreed that the punishment for the zaani is stoning, if he was married, and flogging if he was unmarried. That is because of the abhorrence of what he has engaged in of haraam intimacy. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allaah, if you believe in Allaah and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment”
[al-Noor 24:2]
But by the mercy of Allaah, the door of repentance is always open, and Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful; He loves the repentance of His slaves and accepts it if he turns to Him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Know they not that Allaah accepts repentance from His slaves and takes the Sadaqât (alms, charity), and that Allaah Alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful?”
[al-Tawbah 9:104]
“Allaah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they whom Allaah will forgive and Allaah is Ever All‑Knower, All‑Wise”
[al-Nisa’ 4:17]
“And those who invoke not any other ilaah (god) along with Allaah, nor kill such person as Allaah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse __and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.
69. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;
70. Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allaah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allaah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”
[al-Furqaan 25:68-70]
How forbearing is Allaah, and how Generous. His goodness descends upon them even as their evil deeds ascend to Him. He holds out His Hand by night to accept the repentance of the one who sinned during the day, and He holds out His hand during the day to accept the repentance of the one who sinned at night. All the sinner has to do is acknowledge his sin and give it up, and ask his Lord for pardon and forgiveness, and resolve never to go back to that sin, and to set his deeds straight, and strive to do that which will please his Lord, may He be blessed and exalted.
The one who does that will find relief, for the Most Gracious, Most Merciful rejoices over the repentance of His slave and accepts it from him, and He will reward him for it and erase his bad deeds thereby, and raise him in status, because He is the Forbearing, Most Generous, Most Kind, Most Merciful, may He be blessed and exalted.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship withMe) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death)”
[Ta-Ha 20:82]
Moreover, we say to this brother: beware of removing the cover with which Allaah has concealed you and telling anyone of what you have done, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Avoid these filthy things that Allaah has forbidden. Whoever has done any of them, let him conceal himself with the concealment of Allaah, and let him repent to Allaah.” Narrated by al-Bayhaqi; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inSaheeh al-Jaami’(149).
Muslim (2590) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah does not conceal a person in this world but Allaah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection.”
So hasten to repent and regret, and weep for your sin and wrongdoing. Conceal yourself with the concealment of Allaah and do not speak openly of your sin; do a lot of good deeds such as praying, giving charity, dhikr, and tasbeeh, for these are means of attaining forgiveness.
Beware of procrastinating with regard to repentance, or of taking the forbearance and concealment of Allaah for granted, for Allaah may grant you time or He may not, and He may become angry and seek vengeance. Perhaps He will look at His slave who dares to disobey Him and will say: ‘Go, for I will never accept any good deed from you,’ so he will be utterly lost and his punishment will be Hell. We ask Allaah to keep us safe and sound and to grant us salvation.
We ask Allaah to set the affairs of the Muslims straight, and to bring that back to the right path.
And Allaah knows best.

The behaviour of a courageous person is based on wisdom and serenity of soul. He gets angry on proper occasion and is patient and restrained. His anger is to the proper extent and if he takes revenge, it is with reason and discretion. He knows well as to whom he should forgive and what to overlook and ignore.
The anger of a true believer is for the sake of Allah (SWT). In the state of anger, he keeps in mind his duties, rights of creatures and never oppresses anyone. He neither makes the use of indecent language nor acts indiscreetly. All his acts are based on rational considerations and are in accordance with the norms of justice and Divine laws. He always acts in a way that he will not regret his actions later on.
Hence a true believer practices self-control and suppresses the motives of ill-temper through taking enough time before saying or doing anything.
Anger (Ghadab), Bad Temper and Human Vice according to Prophetic Sayings (Hadith)
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "The best Jihad is self-control."
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "He is not strong and powerful, who throws people down, but he is strong who withholds himself from anger." Therefore, Anger is the sign of weakness not a sign of strength.
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "Whoever suppresses his anger, when he has in his power to show it, Allah (SWT) will give him a great reward."
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "Anger corrupts faith in the same way that vinegar destroys honey."
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) narrated on the authority of his father Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as) that, a Bedouin came to Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) and said: "I live in the desert; hence, I want you to instruct me the comprehensive of speech." Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "I instruct you not to be angry." As the Bedouin repeated the same request three times, Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) repeated the answer three times. Then Bedouin commented: "I will not ask you for anything any more. Certainly, Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) has instructed me the best."
Imam Ali (as) said: "The most powerful person is the one who is victorious over his anger with his forbearance."
Imam Ali (as) said: "When a person gets angry, if he is standing, he should immediately lie down (sit down) on earth for a while as this removes the filth of Shaitan (Satan) from him at that time."
Imam Ali (as) said: "Keep off anger because it is one large army from the Shaitan's (Satan) armies."
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as) said: "Any one who suppresses his anger, Allah (SWT) will add to his honour and authority in this world and the world to come."
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as) said: "A man often becomes so angry that he is never pleased until this causes him to be in Hell."
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said: "One who refrains his anger (towards someone), Allah (SWT) will cover his secrets."
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as)said: "Anger is the key (that opens the door) to all kinds of vices."
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said: "A Mu'min (believer) is the person who when angered, his anger doesn't lead him away from that which is true."
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said: "He who has no control over his anger has no control over his reason."

Fathwa, - She wants to end forced marriage

- -

Question
One of my female cousins' was married with a man who is living inPakistan, and this marriage was based on her parents' wish. She did not like him and this man married her to get British nationality. The farewell ceremony )sexual intercourse( will take place in the end of this year, but she wants to divorce this man, so I want to know the view point of Shariah in this matter. Meanwhile she is also afraid of this husband as he might not divorce her, and the court justice inPakistanis horrible. So what can she do? Can she return him the Maher )paid( and ask him to divorce or any other way?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
If a woman does not like a man for his moral conduct or his physical appearance, it is desirable for her to be patient with this, as Allah may reconcile between the two and bring them together.
However, she can ask for a divorce, and if he refuses, then she can suggest to give him some money-in return-for the divorce. It is a Sunnah for the husband to accept the request of the wife, but he is not obliged to do so.
The evidence about this is the Hadith reported byBukhari, thatIbn Abbas)Radiya Allahu Anhu( said:'The wife ofThabit Ibn Qayscame to the Prophet )Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam( and said: "O, Prophet of Allah )Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam(, I do not blame him for his conduct or religion, but I fear to apostate from Islam )because of my uneasiness with him(." So the Prophet )Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam( told her: "Can you give him back the garden he offered you as a dowry in exchange for the divorce." She replied: 'Yes'. Then the Prophet )Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam( toldThabit, "Accept the garden and divorce her."
Therefore, if a woman asks her husband to divorce her due to not liking him , she is not sinful by doing so, especially if she fears not to fulfill his right. The order of the Prophet )Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam( forThabitis an order of guidance and not an obligation.
The marriage contract is in the hands of the husband and the wife cannot break it except with the consent of the husband. So it is not sufficient for the wife to let her husband know that she has left him, or give him back what he offered her )as a dowry(; except with his consent, or an Islamic authority has to give a rule about this.
Allah knows best.
