Pregnancy, - Halal Diet and Pregnancy

We are what we eat. Today we complain our children are disobedient
towards us, but why the surprise? If we feed our children haram (even
while in the womb) then the thoughts that will be bred in their minds
(laterin life) will be haram. Understand well, halal foods breed halal
thoughts and halal actions whilst haram foodbreeds haram thoughts and
haram actions.
Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanwi narrates, 'If before birth of the child,
parents were to reform themselves and adopt piety, then there is no
reason why the child born too should not be pious. The actions of
parents during pregnancy have a profound effect on the unborn child.
Accordingly, the son of a saint was quite mischievous. Somebody
queried the saint; 'It is indeed strange; you are so pious yet your
son so naughty?' The saint replied, ' One evening I was invited to
meals by arich person (whose income was doubtful). After eating, my
nafs became excited and I made love to my wife who became pregnant.
This child is the effect of the doubtful food.'
Therefore, during pregnancy (especially) it is of the utmost
importance to eat a varied halal diet brought from halal income. If in
doubt regarding ingredients, leave it out. - - ▓███▓

Pregnancy, - The Virtues of Pregnancy

After some time has elapsed, the couple desire that Allah Taa'la bless
them with a child and thus through maritalconsummation Allah Taa'la
grants their wish. The first stage that follows is that of pregnancy.
A person should not be ashamed of being pregnant or treat it as a big
burden, as there are many beautiful virtues and rewards for being
pregnant .
Virtues for being Pregnant
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The woman that dies in
her virginity or during her pregnancy or at the time of birth or
thereafter (in nifaas) will attain the rank of a martyr."
It is mentioned in another Hadith that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi
wasallam) said: "Does it not please you (OWomen!) that when you
conceive from your husbands while he is pleased with you then that
woman will receive such reward equal to that of a fasting person in
the path of Allah and spending the night in ibaadat. When her labour
pains commence the inhabitants of the earth and the sky are unaware of
the stores of comfort that are prepared for her. When she delivers and
breast feeds her child then she will be granted a reward for every
gulp of milk, and if she had to remain awake during the night for the
sake of her child, she will receive the reward of emancipating seventy
slaves in the pathof Allah. O Salaamat! Do you know who these women
are? They are pious, upright, delicately natured but yet are obedient
to their husbands and not ungrateful to them."
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "A woman from her
pregnancy till the time ofweaning her child is like one protecting the
boundaries of the Islamicstate. If she passes away during this period
she attains the reward of martyrdom."
In another Hadith it is mentioned that, "The woman who dies of labour
pains is regarded as a martyr (shaheedah)."
A woman should therefore gladly bear these difficulties patiently and
calmly as she will be highly rewarded.
Hazrat Mail bin Yasaar (radiyallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah
(Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Marry such women who are loving
and produce children (in abundance) because (on the day of Qiyaamah) I
will vie with other Ummats and be proud of your numbers."
In another Hadith Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Even
the miscarried foetus will drag its mother towards Jannat ifshe
exercised patience with the hope of acquiring reward."
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "When the woman
breastfeeds then on every gulp of milk the child receives, the reward
is as though she has granted life to a being and when she weans her
child, then theangels pat her on her back saying: CONGRATULATIONS! all
your past sins have been forgiven, now start all over again."
[By sins is intended the minor sins, this is also a great reward.] -

Pregnancy, - The Blessing of being Pregnant

Once a woman has confirmed her pregnancy, she should express her
gratitude before Allah Ta'ala as thisis indeed a great bounty of Allah
Ta'ala. This is such a boon that many people beseech Allah Ta'ala
throughout their lives for pious children but Allah Ta'ala has
destined otherwise. In fact one of the greatest Nabîes of Allah
Ta'ala, Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhis salaam) used to supplicate to Allah
Ta'ala most profoundly and frequently. Even Hadrat Zakariyya (Alayhis
salaam) used to supplicate for children most passionately and
fervently during the latter part of his life.
Hence, a Muslim woman isrequired to express her gratitude unto Allah
Ta'ala for this great bounty. Gratitude may beexpressed in the
following ways:
1. Recite the following Du'aa very frequently:
Allahummâ Lakal Hamdû Wa Lakash-Shukru
Translation: O Allah! All praises are due to You alone and I express
my gratitude unto You alone(for granting me the honour of motherhood).
2. Allocate a fixed time for two Rak'aat of Nafl Salaat. Whilst in
Sajdah, make Du'aa abundantly. Recite the following Du'aa as well:
Rabbi Hab Liy Min-Ladunka Zurriyatan-Tayyibah Innaka Sam'iud-Du'aa
Translation: O my Lord! Bless me from your side with pure children.
VerilyYou are all-hearing of theDu'aa.
3. Recite the following Du'aa as well:
Rabbi-j'alniy Muqeema-Salaati wa min Zurriyatiy Rabbanaa wa Taqabbal Du'aa
Translation: O my Lord! Render me as well as my progeny as
establishers of Salâh and accept our Du'aas.
4. Similarly, express your gratitude from the heart in such a manner
that you stay happy and try tostay happy at all times. Try to forget
all your pastsorrows. Build your dreams and keep your hopes and
spirits high. Ponder over the bountiesof Jannat.
Instead of embroiling yourself in the daily disputes with the
mother-in-law and sisters-in law and insteadof involving yourself with
the unbecoming behaviour of your husband, maintain strict silence. On
the impending happiness of the birth of your child, maintain a
friendly and trouble-free relationship with all. If you do tend tohurt
anyone, apologise immediately and try to forget about the dispute. If
you continue vexing others, the evil effects of this nature will fall
on the unborn child as well. The conditions of the mother during
pregnancy, in fact even her spirit and perceptions during this state
has a profound effect on the unborn child.
Hence, a Muslim woman should express gratitude at all times especially
during the period of her pregnancy. This gratitude should in turn
develop in her the love of Allah Ta'ala. She should ponder that since
Allah Ta'ala has blessed us with so many bounties, we should also
devote ourselves to Him. To disobey such a majestic benefactor – by
strutting about veil-less, watching television, videos, backbiting
etc. – at any time and especially during pregnancy is not acceptable.
Allah Ta'ala showers His bounties upon us and we in turn disobey Him!?
The first month of pregnancy
Remember that you are not a single entity now. Now a child is being
nourished within your own body. With a bit of precaution on your part,
this child may become healthy, intelligent, understanding, pious and
religious. However, with your negligence and indifference, the child
may turn out to be weak, sickly and incompetent.
Hence, your life should not be the same as it wasbefore you fell
pregnant. Every moment should be passed with caution and concern over
the well-being of yourself as well your child. Therefore, pay careful
attention to the following points:
1. Be careful with your diet. Chew your food thoroughly before
swallowing. Avoid over-eating and abstain from food that can cause
constipation.
2. Eat green, fresh vegetables, like salads, cucumbers etc. in
abundance. Make sure that they are clean and washed before use.
3. Drink lots of sour-milk and milk. Drink as much milk as your
digestive system can handle. Milk isa very blessed form of nutrition.
After consuming other types offood, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) would utter:
Allahummâ At'imnâ Khayran-Minhu
Translation: O Allah! Grant us food better thanthis (in Jannat).
However, milk is of such a blessed nature that there is no food better
than milk since after drinking milk Rasûlullâh recited the following
Du'aa:
Allahummâ Bârik Lanâ Fîhî wa Zidnâ Minhu
Translation: O Allah! Bless us in this and increase it for us.
In other words, whilst drinking milk, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) did not ask forsomething better (as he did in the case of
other foods), because there is no better food than milk. This is why he
beseechedAllah Ta'ala for Barkat (blessing) and increase init.
In short, a pregnant woman should drink lots of milk because Allah
Ta'ala has placed the vitamins and proteins required by the human body
in milk.
If pure or raw milk is detrimental to you, consume it in other forms
like Lassî (curds), sour-milk, custard, Khîr etc. This is beneficial
to the mother as well as the child.
4. Abstain from tea, coffee, Pân (betel leaf), oil, Ghee, chillies and
oilyfoods. Besides affecting the digestive system, these foods are
detrimental to the muscles and nervous system of the mother andmay
also affect the child.
5. Ensure that you refrainfrom all types of medication during
pregnancy especially pain-relievers. If you are really desperate,
consult a reliable female (or male) doctor explaining your pregnancy
and conditions to her. It should not be such that you are prescribed
medication that is injurious to pregnant women. Some medication
clearly states on the label that it is not advisable for pregnant
women. Hence, if you arereally desperate to use some medication, make
sure you scrutinize the label and make thoroughinvestigation before
use.
6. In the first three months and the last month, in fact from the
seventh month onwards, avoid sexual contact withyour husband. This at
times, adversely affects the mother and the child.
7. Avoid sleeping late. Tryto get at least eight hours of peaceful
sleep. This will ensure that yourbody and mind is well rested. This in
turn is beneficial for the child aswell and it may simplify delivery
of the child.
8. Avoid excessively hard work and picking up very heavy objects as
thismay lead to a miscarriage. If your cruel mother-in-law or
hard-hearted sister-in-law compels you to pick up heavy objects or
forces you to carry out some difficult task, then excuse yourself very
politely and explain to them that this task is beyond you and that
youwill pay a labourer to carry out this task.
However, if your cruel mother-in-law or hard-hearted sister-in-law
fails to take pity on your condition, explain your helplessnessto your
husband and with his permission, go to your mother's house to rest. If
you are a sister-in-law to another woman (your brother's wife), don't
be cruel to her as well. The moment she falls pregnant, try to make
her comfortable and relaxed at all times. Your benevolence won't be
directed to your sister-in-law alone but you will be showing mercy to
a sinless child, a priceless gem, a blossoming flower, the coolness of
your brother's eyes, a luminance of this worldlylife and a source of
perpetual reward for the hereafter. The degree of happiness and
comfort ofyour sister-in-law or daughter-in-law will, Inshâ Allah
Ta'ala, determine the well-being, health, robustness and happiness of
the new arrival.

The claim that ''natural selection causesevolution'' is a fraudulent one

Darwin proposed the concept of natural selection as an "evolutionary
mechanism" in the 1800s.
Natural selection is in other words "natural choosing". The idea of
natural selection is based on the idea that powerful life forms well
adapted to their natural surroundings will survive. For example, in a
herd of zebra menacedby lions, it is those zebra that run fastest that
will survive.
Natural selection is certainly a mechanism observed among living
things in nature. But it does not possess the ability as imagined by
evolutionists of bestowing new features on life forms and thus
creating new species. 1
We can clarify this with an example: Let us imagine that in a
geographical region somewhere there are two similar kinds of dog,one
with longer fur and the other with relatively shorter. If the
temperature in this region falls significantly for some ecological
reason, then the longer haired dogs will be moreresistant than the
shorter haired ones. As aresult, the longer haired dogs will gradually
cometo have an advantage, meaning that they will live longer, and
reproduce and find foodeasier. After a while, the number of shorter
haired dogs will decrease considerably, and they will either migrate
to warmer climates or else become extinct. In other words, the longer
haired dogs will be favored by natural selection.
But note that no new breed of dog emerges during this process. One of
the two breeds that were already in existence acquired an advantage
through natural selection. It is not the case that as a result of
natural selection long haired dogs appeared where there had been none
before. It is in any case absolutely impossible forthese dogs to turn
into another species.
In short, new species and new characteristics do not appear by way
ofnatural selection, only the chances of survival of already existing
increasing species rise. Since no new species or characteristic form,
it is impossible to speak of "evolution" taking place. To put it
another way, no "evolution" comes about through natural selection.
Indeed, Darwin himself admittedas much:
Natural selection is incompetent to account for the incipient stages
of useful structures.
The well-known British evolutionist and paleontologist Colin Patterson
makes this confession on the subject:
No one has ever produced a species by mechanisms of natural selection.
No one has ever got near it and most of the current argument in
neo-Darwinism is about this question. 2
Natural selection is not amechanism that produces anything new and
thus causes species to change, one that works miracles, such as
causing a reptile to gradually turn into a bird. In the words of the
well-known biologist D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson, "... We see in natural
selection is not to create but to destroy—to weed, to prune, to cut
down and to cast into the fire." 3
Darwinists are therefore lying when they describe natural selection as
an evolutionary mechanism. Even thoughthey know full well that natural
selection does not bring evolution about, they still try to impose
this deception. Adopting the legacy inherited from Darwin and not
being able to invent a new mechanismfor their imaginary scenario make
them so devoted to this outdatedclaim, this terrible falsehood. There
are still Darwinist scientists today who adhere to this terrible lie.
Those who have seen that this lie cannot be maintainedhave come up
with another one. That is the idea that "mutations cause evolution."

Despairing Darwinists place their hopes in heat

In the well-known words of Adolf Hitler, thefascist murder and
principal architect of thebloodiest war and slaughter in history;
"If you tell a lie long enough, loud enough and often enough, people
will believe it."
This quotation from Hitler, a conformed Darwinist, perfectly
summarizes the hereticalideology of Darwinism. For 150 years
Darwinists have based themselves on this philosophy of Hitler's and
succeeded inconvincing people of thegreatest deception of history by
loudly repeating it over and over again. Even today, when their lies
have now been exposed for what they are, Darwinists must imaginethat
the same tactic can again be successful, since they are still
reiterating the lie of evolution with all kinds of fraud. One of the
latest instances of this is the deception that "evolution happens
faster in warm temperatures," which has lately been headlined in
Darwinist publications.
As we have made clear many times before, Darwinists' best-known tactic
is to behave as if Darwinism were a completely proven theory with
merely a few minor details remaining unaccounted for. The lie that
evolution accelerates in warm weather is the result of this tactic.
These reports say nothing about how IT IS SCIENTIFICALLY IMPOSSIBLE
FOR EVOLUTION TO TAKE PLACE,HOW IT IS DEVOID OF ANY SUPPORTING
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, HOW IT IS UNABLE TO ACCOUNT FOR HOW LIFE BEGAN
AND THAT THERE EXISTS NOT A SINGLE TRANSITIONAL FOSSIL TO CORROBORATE
EVOLUTION. These difficulties that completely repudiate evolution have
been set to one side, with the impression being given that so-called
evolution'sonly problem is hot weather, the intention being to deceive
those readers with little information on the subject to the greatest
extent possible.
This fraud so shamelesslypropagated by Darwinists will, of course, be
of not benefitto the lie of evolution, which was launched with great
fanfare and hoaxes. However, in order to demonstrate the illogicality
and the deception in question and how it is rooted in asuperstitious
ideology, itwill be useful to set out the truth regarding this false
account from Darwinists:
Of course living things' metabolisms change according to air
temperatures. In hot weather, the cellular reactions taking place
inthe body are speeded up, meaning that metabolism is also
accelerated. Darwinist scientists know about this scientific fact,
too. What makes them different is that they use this knowledge as a
propaganda tool for Darwinist deception.
Darwinists maintain thatas a result of this reaction increase, the
number of mutations that will probably take place inside the cell will
also increase and that this will give rise to evolution. This
groundless assumption is the very worst deception.
DNAkucuk It is true that there is a chance of the DNA in every cell in
livingthings being subjected to mutation as it multiplies and divides.
But as the Darwinist publications in question admit, 99% of these
mutations are harmful tothe DNA. Because mutations are random changes
in living things and lead to breakages, deformity and death. No case
of mutations bestowing useful characteristics on a living thing has
ever been observed or identified. And it is next to impossible for
such a thing to happen. Therefore, a rise in the number of mutations
in the organism in question as a result of heat will cause further
random alterations and the more detailed information about how
mutations have no evolutionary effect here .)
A second important point that needs to be made clear here is this:
even if mutations do produce a harmless alteration in a living thing,
this will still be a change taking place within that organism's
existing genetic structure. In other words, a mammal may acquire a
third arm or a second tail as a result of these mutations, but it will
never acquire a "wing" that did not already exist in its own genome
data. There can therefore be no question of the "evolution" claimed by
Darwinists, and the claimis a fraudulent one.
Darwinists have always used the small changes, variations, that always
take place in the genome as tools for speculation. Darwinists call
this "microevolution." But variations have nothing to do with
evolution. What Darwinists are using as a propaganda tool is the fact
that livingthings may undergo minute changes in accordance with their
habitats. But the fact that Darwinists keep concealed is that LIVING
THINGS CAN ONLY CHANGE WITHIN THE INFORMATIONEXISTING INSIDE THEIR
GENOMES. In other words, a living thing canonly change to the extent
permitted by Allah within its genetic data. And every member of the
species may exhibit these characteristics since theyexist in its
genetic data. Fur may change color, beaks may grow longer and bodies
may expand. But apart from that, there never will and never has been
any change between species of the kind expected by Darwinists. The
living thing in question WILL NEVER TURN INTO A DIFFERENT LIFE FORM
AND COME TO POSSESS THAT FORM'S FEATURES. Because it is impossible
for a life form to freely develop new structures that do not already
exist within its genetic data. (You can access detailed information
about how variation has nothing to do with false evolution here .)
Therefore, sperm and egg cells dividing more quickly in warm
temperatures and the acceleration of metabolism as a result offaster
reactions due to heat will not accelerate the variations in question
going on in thelife form. Heat will only make a living thing better
adapted to the circumstances in its habitat, within its own genome.
But it will never turn a lizard into abird. A reptile can never
suddenly be covered in fathers, and a mammal can never turn into a
batand fly away. These things are all fantasies. Darwinist fraud is
attempted to be propped up by such hollow methods and such irrational
and unscientific accounts. But these endeavors by Darwinists just go
to show the wretched position in which they find themselves.
Another point that needsto be emphasized here isthat as they engage in
this speculation, Darwinist are never – EVER – ABLE TO PROVIDE A
SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE FOR IT. They are unable to point to a single
structure or organ that has changed or evolved in the way they claim.
Darwinists presumably imagine that they can maintain the nonsense of
evolution using hollow demagoguery alone. The fact is, however, that
Darwinism itself and its own hollow techniques have been buried with
the revelation of scientific evidence proving the impossibilityof
evolution and with the revelation of 250 million fossils. Allah has
revealed His creation in all its glory. Our advice, therefore, to the
Darwinist media that imagine such reports can have any impact andthat
they can deceive people in this way is thatthey avoid the
embarrassment that accompanies such claimsand to keep a closer watch
on the increasingly powerful resistance to evolution taking place
across the world.

Darwinists 'common ancestor' deception

Embarrassed by the theory they espouse, Darwinists are now trying to
cover up the idea that "we are descended from apes." They are now
trying to place Darwin under protection, saying "Darwin never actually
said we are descended from apes, but referred to a common ancestor."
Darwinist publications have also adopted this deception and started
carrying such ludicrous captions as "apes are our cousins, rather than
our ancestors." Darwinists started inventing brand new things because
of their illogical claims, yet what they invented has just made their
degradation even worse.
We are issuing the following call to Darwinists espousing this claim:
You are just embarrassing yourselvesby saying, "the (imaginary)
ancestor of human beings is not an ape, but a common forebear." Is
what you describe not a strange entity closely resemblingan ape? And,
according to what you claim, does this life form resemble an ape or
not? It would appear that it does resemble one. That being the case,
what does it matter if it is called an ape or something else? Are you
not referring to a wild animal resembling a human being? If it makes
you feel better we can called it a "hape"instead. But does calling it
a "hape" make your claim any less ridiculous?
Give up your demagoguery! This is a totally primitive idea. Declaring
an ape-like creature to be a "common ancestor" and saying "we are
actually descended from a common ancestor, not from apes" is utterly
humiliating. People refer to this imaginary and odd entity you refer
to as an "ape." This life form resembles a gorilla,a chimpanzee or a
primate. But the general term used to describe it is "ape." There can
be noquestion of ignoring that this is just any wordused to describe
an entity and saying, "we never said any such thing." There have been
a great many apes resembling human beings. The ape species described
as Homo habilis , for instance, exhibits many structural similarities
to humans. But this is a complete ape, one covered in fur, that
attacks everything around it with its sharp teeth and that eats
meat, even members of its own species. In other words, it is an animal.
The fact it resembles human beings in some respects does not alter
that fact.
Man is a totally different entity.
Man is an entity possessed of reason and awareness, that sees
andperceives images, and that thinks about and makes judgments
regarding these; in other words, man IS AN ENTITY WITH A SOUL. In
order for something to be "human" it has to be an entity WITH A SOUL
capable of saying "I" andaware of its own existence. Even if a soul
were bestowed on a cat, that entity would be a human being in the shape
of a cat. What makes human beings different from other living things
is that they possess a soul. Do not ignore that fact!
There have been a great many apes resembling human beings. The fact
they resemble human beings in some respects does not alter this fact:
What makes human beings different from other living things is that
they possess a soul.
Darwinists Use the Same Tactic to Misinterpret Explanations Based on Chance
Darwinists;
Your tactic of misinterpreting the subject of the imaginary "ape
ancestor" is the same as that with which you misinterpret the subject
of "chance"! Darwinism is a heretical belief that totally denies
Creation, the Creator (surely Allah is beyond that) and thus all the
consciousness, reason and design in living things. It therefore
ascribes everything random coincidences and aimless, uncontrolled
phenomena. Although Darwinism has no other account to offer, and
although all Darwinists' accounts are based on chance and although
accounts based on chance appear in all their publications, they still
say, "we did not really refer to chance at all." This is just a bid to
refer to chance by another name.
Do not try to change the name of chance in the same way you are
tryingto alter that of the imaginary "ape ancestor." Just as you know
how you are degrading yourselves when you say "we are descended from
apes," so you are also humiliated when you say, "it happened by
chance." That is why youare trying to give this nonsense a different
name and say, "we never spoke of chance." Asked whether "a conscious
entity did this"you say, "No." Asked whether "all these phenomena are
under the control of a mind, anintelligence," you will again say,
"No."
This is a deception. A thing either exists, or it does not. There is
either a glass on the table, or there is not. There is no third
possibility. You must therefore put an end to your demagoguery. All
humanity is amazed at how you are able to belittle yourselves so
childishly.
There is an important fact that we have reiterated many times before:
people can no longer be taken in by Darwinist deceptions. People no
longer find it satisfying and convincing when you say, "all right, not
an ape, but a common ancestor." These accounts just confirm a fact we
have already shown and described fora long time now: the factthat
Darwinists in fact possess nothing other than demagoguery.
The more there are of such instances, the better people can see the
methods by which Darwinists have deceived them for so many years.
People are now much more of the opinion that Darwinism is a fraud.
What no remains to be done is therefore to accept this state of
affairs and act inthe light of the scientific facts. To admit that
Darwinism has been defeated and tell people the truth. Like all the
other entities on Earth, human beings have been created by our Lord's
will and at His command. What makes human beings human is the soul
that Almighty Allah bestows on them. Nothing on Earth or in the
universe can act outside the knowledge and decree of Allah. It is
therefore impossible for there to be any randomness anywhere in the
universe, not evenin a single atom. Every entity manifests in itself
the power, might and artistry of Allah, the Lordof the Worlds. This is
a sublime, matchless and flawless Creation.
It is Allah Who created the seven heavens and of the Earth the same
number, the command descending down through all of them, so that you
might know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah
encompasses all things in His knowledge.(Surat at-Talaq, 12)

Fathwa, - Offering the prayer whileputting lard on one's body

Question
Is it permissible to seek alleviation by dressing the body with lard?
Does it affect the purity or validity of the prayer?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
Seeking remedy in impure things like lard is prohibited except in the
case of necessity based on his saying : " Do nottreat yourselves with
what is unlawful. " [Abu Daawood]. Whether it is a sort of food, drink
or dressing.
Dressing one's body with an impure thing does notnullify his ablution.
However, his prayer is not valid until he washes the place dressed
with this impurity.

Fathwa, - Close your restaurant during the time of the Jumu‘ah sermon and prayer

Question
Can I take a loan from myfather to start a business? Please note that
one yearago he made a partnership with a chef in a restaurant which
opens during the Jumu'ah prayer time. In fact, I discussed the matter
with the chef but he refused to close the restaurant during the prayer
time under the pretext of not embarrassing customers while they are
eating. The same words were repeatedly mentioned bymy father who
added: "Leave him be, he is the one who is working during this time
(and not us)." He also says that he will speak to him concerning it at
a later time but the days keep passing by.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
There is nothing wrong with taking a loan from your father to start a
business unless the money itself is generatedfrom unlawful sources.
Asfor the chef working during the Jumu'ah prayer and sermon time, it
is a major sin and he must be admonished. Theclaim that he cannot
embarrass the customers is rejected under the Sharee'ah. Rather, he
must order those who are obliged to pray Jumu'ah to go out (to pray).
Moreover, he has to make sign with such a meaning as well as avoid
receiving customers whenever the time of theJumu'ah prayer and sermon
draws near. Besides, he must adopt all possible means to fulfill this
purpose. Let him know that any deal he makes after the second Athaan
of the Jumu'ah prayer is void based on the verse (whatmeans): { O you
who havebelieved, when [the Athaan] is called for the prayer on the
day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allaah and
leave trade. That is better for you, if you onlyknew. } [Quran 62: 9].
Youshould not give up advising him.

Fathwa, - The calendar does not count if it contradicts thecorrect Athaan time

Question
I am from Morocco and inour country there is a united Athaan for the
Fajr prayer according to the astronomical system without considering
the differences in sighting. Is it permissible for me to pray alone so
as to offer my prayer in the due time? Or am I obliged to pray with
the congregation despite thefact that they offer their prayer before
the due time? May Allaah The Exalted Reward you.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad
, is His Slave and Messenger.
If you are well acquainted with the due times of prayers, do not pray
before the due time.Hence, the calendar should not be relied upon if
it contradicts the due time because offering the prayer after the
beginning of its due time is a condition for its validity. Hence, no
prayeris due unless such a condition is fulfilled. Those in charge of
the calendar should correct this mistake through recognizing the
regional differences of time. Marking the times of prayer is a trust
for which they are responsible in front of Allaah The Exalted. To
clear their consciences, atthe very minimum, they should write proper
statements so as to notifythe people to recognize the differences in
terms of prayer times. Otherwise, the Muslims have to recognize such
differences out of their own responsibility.
Dear brother, adhere to gentleness in terms of advising people in your
mosque so that they delay the prayer to its due time. Allaah The
Exalted Says (what means): { Invite to the way of your Lord with
wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is
best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His
way,and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided. } [Quran 16:
125].
However, if they do not respond to you, do not offer the prayer before
the due time even if you would offer it alone in your house.
But if you are not well acquainted with the due times of prayers, so
that your saying of the Athaanof Fajr being before the due time is
based on assumption, something heard from others or just claims with
no clear proofs, then you have to join the congregational prayer and
avoid causingdisorder for a matter youare not aware of. Allaah The
Exalted Says (what means): { And do not pursue that of which you have
no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all
those [one] will be questioned } [Quran 17: 36 ]
Allaah Knows best.

Explanation of soorah Quraysh

The verses:
In the name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Almighty Allaah Says (what means): "For the accustomed security of the
Quraysh – Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and
summer – Let them worship the Lord of thisHouse, Who has fed them,
[savingthem] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear."
[Quran: 106: 1-4]
Explanation:
Muhammad Ibn Is-haaq and `Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Zayd Ibn Aslam said that
this Quranicchapter is connected to the previous one, Al-Feel (The
Elephant), because they both assert that Allaah the Exalted protected
Makkah from the elephant and destroyed the People of the Elephant for
the accustomed security of Quraysh (the main Makkan tribe) and
theircommunity in their city, in safety.
It was also said that they were accustomed to travelling in caravans
to Yemen in winter and to Syria in summer for trade and other
purposes, and that they would return to their city in safety without
hindrance becauseof their privileged status as the custodians of the
Sacred House ofAllaah, and that whoever recognised them would respect
them and travel with them in order to protect them. This was their
situation, both in winter and in summer.
According to Imaam Ibn Jareer the correct explanation of this verse is
that Allaah is saying, in other words: "Be amazed at the taming of
Quraysh and My Blessings upon them," because the consensus of Muslim
opinion is that they are two separate Soorahs (Quranic chapters),
independent of each other. Then Allaah indicates to them the
obligation of expressing thanks and gratitude to Him by worshipping
Him Alone, Saying (what means): "Let them worshipthe Lord of this
House." [Quran 106: 1-3]
That is, worship the One True Deity, Who has made their lives and
their city safe and inviolate, as in the Words of Him, the Most High,
which mean: " …I [Muhammad] have only been commanded to worship the
Lord of this city, who made it sacred and to whom [belongs] all
things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims [i.e., those whosubmit
to Allaah]." [Quran27:91]
"Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger…" [Meaning of the first
part of verse 4 of the chapter] That is, He is the Lord of the House
and it is He who has fed them against hunger.
"…And made them safe, [saving them] from fear." [Meaning of thesecond
part of verse 4] Meaning that He has preferred them over other
communities by granting them safety from fear, so let them then
worship Him alone, without associating any partners with Him, without
worshipping graven images or setting up equals to Him; and whoever
responds positively to this command, Allaah will grant him the best
in this life and in the Hereafter, while whoever disobeys Him will
receive neither, as Allaah the Exalted Says (what means): " And Allaah
presents an example: a city [i.e., Makkah] which was safe and secure,
its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it
denied the favours of Allaah. So Allaah made it taste the envelopment
of hunger and fear for what they had been doing. And there had
certainly come to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they
denied him; so punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers."
[Quran 16: 112-113]
Asmaa' Bint Yazeed said: "I heard the Messenger of Allaah say: "Woe to
you O Quraysh! For the accustomed security of Quraysh". [Ibn Abu
Haatim] - - ▓███▓ Translator:-> http://translate.google.com/m/

Remedies for the heart are within the Quran

Allaah Almighty Says in the Quran (what means): " We send down ofthe
Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers." [Quran
17:82] And also (what means): "O mankind! There has come to you
instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and
guidance and mercy for the believers." [Quran 10:57]
It is narrated on the authority of An-Nu'maan Ibn Basheer whosaid : "I
heard the Messenger of Allaah say : "That which is lawful is plain and
that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are
doubtful matters about which not many people know. Thus, he who avoids
doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his
honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is
unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but
grazing therein.Truly, every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allaah's
sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of
flesh which, ifit be whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be
diseased, all of it is diseased. Truly it is the heart." [Al-Bukhaari
and Muslim]
Diseases of the heart are a mixture of suspicions and lusts which can
lead our souls into turmoil and despair. However, Allaah Almighty has
provided us with a special prescription that will cleanse and heal our
diseased hearts: The Quran.
The Quran provides the healing for many types ofailments:
1. It contains proofs and clear evidences which separate right from wrong.
2. It adequately and clearly negates our doubts.
No book on this earth other than the Quran provides such comprehensive
proofs and testimonies in relation to exaltedmatters of monotheism,
confirmation of Allaah's attributes, the Day of Judgment, Prophethood
and refutation of incongruous doctrines and degenerate opinions.
Although the Quran offers a genuine cure for the evils of suspicions
and doubts, its benefitdepends to a large extent on comprehending its
essence and purpose. Those who are blessed with such faculties would
have the ability to distinguish betweenright and wrong, as clearly and
easily as they can distinguish between day and night.
They would know for certain thatall other knowledge and concepts
prevailing among people are either traditions or false presumptions;
however fanciful and appealing they may appear, these would be unable
tooffer a substitute for the Truth orgenuine matters as encapsulated
in the Quran and would provide no benefit.
The Hadeeth (narration) of Prophet Muhammad compares the futility of
such efforts to: "Inferior camel's meat on top of a rough mountain,
neither the hill is easy to climb nor the camel is healthy enough to
get down the hill." [Al-Bukhaari]
In fact, the knowledge obtained by theologians could be found in the
Quran with a much better elaboration and explanation, for the
theologians are inclined to affectation, wordiness and perpetuating
perplexity. They assume that their attitudes help in refuting
suspicions and doubts, but contrary to their presumption, these
suspicions and doubts are better served by their efforts. If healing
and guidance, knowledge and certainty could not be obtained from the
Quran and the teachingsof Prophet Muhammad it would be impossible to
obtain them from the utterances of those perplexed skeptics.
The Quran draws its ability of healing the diseases of lusts by its
wisdom and fair exhortation, through the renouncement of earthly
pursuits and the pursuance of the Hereafter. It draws upon parables
and narrations containing lessons to be pondered. If the heart
assimilated these qualities, it would certainly be inclined towards
good deeds and renounce the evil ones.
The Quran also eliminates spiritual diseases which corrupt our
intentions and prompt us towards ill deeds; hence the heart heals and
returns to its normal nature, where its facultative and self-acquired
deeds excel. The body also returns to its normal functioning by
rejecting whatever contradictsthe right guidance, just like an infant
who accepts nothing but milk. In this course of affairs, the heart
feeds on faith and the Quran which provides it with reprimands,
consolidation, support, gladness, joy and invigoration to establish
its authority, as a body is nourished by what develops and strengthens
it.
The heart and the body would not flourish without adhering to the
Quran. Even if they attained some of the desired results from another
source, the attainment would be very minor and would not serve the
purpose and desired end result. - - ▓███▓ Translator:->

Relate Ka‘b's Story to Your Child

My friend: What is the story of Ka'b and how can I relate it?
I: Don't you know the story of Ka'b, my friend? It is one of the most
effective stories which will help your child stop lying.
My friend: How?
I: Stories have a profoundimpact on changing bad behavior into upright
behavior, and even adults themselves love to listen to stories and
doing so can often change their lives. Thus, Allaah The Almighty
relates a number of stories in His noble Book for us to derive lessons
from and to be motivatedto change our wrong behavior. My friend, tell
me: Don't you like to listen to stories?
My friend: Yes, you are right. I love to listen to the stories that
the Khateeb (preacher) relates in the Friday Khutbah (sermon), and
they often cause many things in my life to change. By the way, whatis
the story of Ka'b? Do you think that it will helpmy children to stop
telling lies?
I: Of course, but you must narrate it in an interesting, exciting, and
simple way which at the same time accomplishes the needed goals in
every stage of the story. Perhaps we hear many stories, but they do
not attract our attention or change our behavior because the narrator
relates them in an incorrect manner. The narrator may be engagedin
exciting and motivating the audiences, yet he forgets to focus on the
aims of the story. On the other hand, another narrator may focus too
much on the aims of the story and highlighting its lessons without
excitement or motivation. Moderation is optimum in all cases.
My friend (smiling): Stop exciting me, my friend, and relate the story
of Ka'b to me!
I (smiling): No, I will teachyou how to relate it.
My friend sat down listening attentively to the story and pondering on it.
Father: Do you know the story of Ka'b?
Son: Who is Ka'b, Dad?
Father: Do you not know who Ka'b ibn Maalik is, my son?
Son (attentively): No, I don't. Father, please tell me his story.
Father: Ok, I will tell you. My son, Ka'b ibn Maalik was one of the
Companions of the Prophet, .
Son: What was his story?
Father: He was the Companion whose truthfulness saved him from the
punishment of Allaah The Almighty.
Son: How?
Father: In the Battle of Tabook, Allaah The Almighty wanted to test
the believers by asking them to go out for Jihaad (armed struggle).
However, joining the Prophet, , in this battlewas so difficult. Do you
know why, son?
Son: Why was it difficult, Dad?
Father: It was a long journey, the weather wasvery hot, and the fruits
were ready to harvest. Everyone would love to sit in the shade and
enjoyeating the fruits. Going out for Jihaad at that moment was a
command from Allaah The Almighty to ward off the enemies and fight the
polytheists who did not like Islam.
Son: What did the people do, Dad?
Father: The true believers set forth with the Prophet, , because they
sought martyrdom to enter Paradise, while the hypocrites lagged
behind.
Son: Who were the hypocrites, Dad?
Father (after a long sigh): Son, the hypocrites are the evilest of
people – may Allaah save us from hypocrisy. The hypocritesare the
liars who say and do what they do not believe.
Son (alertly): How is that, Dad?
Father: The hypocrites told lies to the Prophet, . Each one made up
anexcuse and told a lie to the Prophet, , in order to evade going out
for Jihaad .
Son (amazed): What did the Prophet, , do with them?
Father: The Prophet, , did not judge them for their intentions but for
their apparent actions and he accepted their excuses.
Son (carefully): Why did the Prophet, , not expose their reality?
Father: Because Allaah The Almighty postponed their punishment till
the Day of Judgment, my son,and how severe the punishment of a liar on
the Day of Judgment will be! You must have heard of the Quranic verse
(thatmeans): } So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allaah. {
[Quran 39:32] Also, you must know that the Prophet, , said, "The sign
of the hypocrite is that he tells lies when he speaks."
Son (attentively): What is the connection between Ka'ab ibn Maalik and
all of that?
Father: My son, Ka'ab ibn Maalik did not tell a lie.
Son: How?
Father: When Ka'b ibn Maalik went to the Prophet, , the Prophet,
sallallaahu 'alayhi was sallam , asked him: "Why did you not join us,
Ka'b?" Ka'b was certain that Allaah The Almighty sees him and knows
what is in his heart. He realized that he might get out of this
situation, but he would not be saved from the punishment of Allaah
TheAlmighty on the Day of Judgment. At this moment, Ka'b ibn Maalik
said to himself, "By Allaah, I will tell the truth."
Son: What did he say to the Prophet, ?
Father: He said, "O Messenger of Allaah, I didnot have any excuse and
I was able to go out with you." He told him the truth, son.
The son (excited): What was the reply of the Prophet ?
Father: The Prophet, , said: "This man has told the truth. Go away
till Allaah decides on your matter."
Son: What happened, Dad?
Father (sadly): My son, imagine! The Prophet, , ordered the Companions
to shun Ka'b ibn Maalik and none of them talked with him. Imagine,
nobody spoke to him for fifty days to the extent that Ka'b was walking
in the streets and greeting people, but nobody returned his greeting.
Even his closest relative, his cousin, did not return his Salaam when
Ka'b offered it.
Son (amazed): Why was all of that? Did he not tell the truth, Dad?
Father: Allaah The Almighty was testing him, son, in order to see
whether or not he wouldkeep firm on his truthfulness despite these
pressures.
Son: Did Ka'b ibn Maalik remain firm, Dad?
Father: Yes, my son. Ka'b remained firm on his truthfulness till
Allaah The Almighty accepted his repentance and revealed Quranic
verses to be recited concerning him.
Son: What did Allaah The Almighty reveal concerning him, dad?
Father: Fetch the Mus-haf (copy of the Quran), son. Let me read the
verse for you. (The child brings the Mus-haf and the father opens it
at Surat At-Tawbah and starts reading the verses.)
Father: Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): } And [He also Forgave]
the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the
point that the earth closed in on them in spiteof its vastness and
their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no
refuge from Allaah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could
repent. Indeed, Allaah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. {
[Quran 9:118]) Do you know what Allaah The AlmightySays after this
verse, son?
Son: What does Allaah The Almighty say, Dad?
Father: Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): } O you who
havebelieved, fear Allaah and be with those who are true. { [Quran
9:119]
Son: Did people talk to Ka'b after that, Dad?
Father: Yes, they did. Ka'b returned to Allaah TheAlmighty with
stronger faith and promised AllaahThe Almighty not to say anything but
the truth. The truth was the thing that saved him, whereas Allaah The
Almighty disclosed the reality of the hypocrites in His Book and they
will taste a painful torment on the Day of Judgment. Now, son, let us
make an unbreakable promise with Allaah The Almighty not to tell lies
ever.
Son: I promise Allaah The Almighty not to tell lies ever.
Father: Whatever the circumstances might be?
Son: Whatever the circumstances might be!
Father: Well done, son. Besure that truthfulness brings about
salvation even if it apparently involves destruction.
At this moment, my friend said: Excuse me! Let me go home to tell my
child the story of Ka'b before he goes to sleep. Assalaamu alaykum.

Dought & Clear, - Ruling on kissing and embracing one wife in front of her co-wives!.

If a husband and wife are living in different states because of their
work and study situation, and the wife visits her husband for a few
days from time to time, does she have to put the prayers togetherand
shorten them, as in the case of the traveller, or is her husband's
house regarded as her house?
Praise be to Allah
If her usual place of residence is in her state, and she is only
visiting her husband for a few days, then her husband'shouse is not
regarded asher home; rather it is like any other place to which she
may travel, if the distance between the two states is the distance at
which shortening prayers becomes permissible, which is approximately
80 km. So she should shorten her prayers during this trip, but if she
has decided to stay with her husband for more than four days,
sheshould offer the prayers in full from the time she enters his
state, because in that case she comes under the same ruling asone who
is a resident. But if she intends to stay for four days or less, then
she should shorten her prayers.
When it is permissible to shorten the prayers it is also permissible
to put prayers together. It is also permissible to put prayers
together for other reasons, such as illness or difficulty (in offering
each prayer at its time).
But there is a difference between shortening prayers and putting
prayers together. Shortening prayers is a confirmed Sunnah (Sunnah
mu'akkadah) for travellers that shouldnot be neglected. As for putting
prayers together, it is permissible, so the traveller may put
prayerstogether or he may offereach prayer at its particular time.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: I live
in al-Qaseem, but sometimes I go to Riyadhto visit my family; I have a
room there and I stay with them for two or three days. Can I shorten
my prayers if I pray on my own? Do I come under the ruling on
travellers?
He replied: Yes, you come under the ruling on travellers, because your
place of residence is al-Qaseem, and when you visit your family it is
the visit of a traveller. Hence the Prophet (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him) shortened his prayer in Makkah, although he had
previously been a resident of that city and he had houses there.
Butwhen he migrated, Madinah became his place of residence. So if you
go to visit your family, you are a traveller.
End quote from Liqa' al-Baab al-Maftooh, 58/23
He was also asked: If a person travels and leaves his family, and he
has the intention of not returning to his homeland, and he stays in a
city that is far away from their city, with the intention of settling
there, then he goes backto his family for a visit, should he regard
himselfas a traveller or not?
He replied: If a person leaves his original home with the intention of
settling in a different city, then when he goes back to his original
home he is a traveller, solong as he still has his original intention
(of settling in the second city). The evidence for that is that the
original home of the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon
him) was Makkah, but when he conquered Makkah he shortened his
prayers, and during the Farewell Pilgrimage he shortenedhis prayers.
Questioner: Does this apply even if his wife and children are in the first city?
Shaykh: Yes, even if his wife and children are there.
End quote from Liqa' al-Baab al-Maftooh, 82/23And Allah knows best.

Dought & Clear, - Imam and congregation offering du‘aa’ together following Jumu‘ah prayer.

We pray the two fard rak'ahs of Jumu'ah, then after that the imam
turns around and we all offer du'aa' together. Is what we do correct?
Praise be to Allah.
What the believers should do is follow the example of the Prophet
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with regard to what he did
and did not do. He should do what the Messenger (blessings and peace
of Allah be upon him) did and refrain from that from which the
Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) refrained. Allah,
may He be exalted, said (interpretation of the meaning):
"Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good
example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and
the Last Day ..."
[al-Ahzaab 33:21].
Du'aa' by the imam after an obligatory prayer – Jumu'ah or otherwise –
with the congregation saying Ameen is something that was not done by
the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or byany of
his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). If it was good, they
would have done it before us.
Based on that, this action comes under the heading of reprehensible
innovation. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
said: "Whoever among you lives after I am gone will see great
disputes; you must adhere to my Sunnah and the way of the Rightly
Guided Caliphs. Hold on to it andcling fast to it. And beware of
newly-invented matters, for every newly-invented matter is an
innovation and every innovation is a going astray."
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4607; classed assaheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh
Abi Dawood.
And the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
"Whoever introduces something into this matter of ours that is notpart
of it will have it rejected."
Narrated by al-Bukhaari,2697; Muslim, 1718.
Ash-Shaatibi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned congregational
du'aa' after the obligatory prayer in his book al-I'tisaam
(1/349-355), and explained that this is an innovation, because that
was not done by the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon
him) or byany of his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) or
any of the imams (leading scholars)after them.
What you must do is refrain from this innovation and strive to recite
the adhkaar and du'aa's that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah
be upon him) used to say after the prayer. And whoever wants to offer
du'aa' may do so quietly. And Allah knows best.

Islamic Stories, - The best dirt cleaner

Abu Umamah (RA) narrates: Rasulullah (SAW) said: Whoever stands up to
perform his Wudhu, intending to offer Salah, then cleans his hands;
the sins of his two hands fallout with the first drop of water. Then,

the sins of his tongue and two lips fallout with the first drop of

of all his offences and sins, just as was his state, the day his mother

Islamic Stories, - A Feast for Clothes

Once upon a time in the Iranian city of Shiraz, there lived the famous
poet Sheikh Saadi. Like most other poets and philosophers, Sheikh
Saadi was not a rich man. He led a very simple life. A rich merchant
of Shiraz invited Sheikh Saadi along with a lot of other big
businessmen of the town on the occasion of his daughter's marriage
which was to be a grandaffair. Sheikh Saadi accepted the invitation
and decided to attend.
On the day of the wedding, the host and his family were receiving the
guests at the gate. They were ushering all the guests towards the
dining hall. All the rich people of the town attended the wedding.
They had come out in best of theirattires. Sheikh Saadi wore simple
clothes which were neither grand nor expensive. He waited in a corner
for someone to approach him but no one gave him as much as even a
second glance. Even the host did not acknowledge him and looked away.
Seeing all this, Sheikh Saadi quietlyleft the party and went to a shop
from where hecould hire clothes. There he chose a richly brocaded
dress which was embroidered in gold on the margins. He selected a
fancy turban and a waist-band to go with it. As he put on the hired
dress and looked into the mirror, he found himself a changedperson.
With this, he entered thedining hall and this time was welcomed with
open arms. The host embraced him as he would do to an old friend and
complimented him on the clothes he was wearing. On seeing him, he
said, "And here comesour favourite poet. Whattook you so long,
friend? We have been waiting for you for ages! How good of you to have
come. The gathering surely would have been incomplete without
yourgracious presence!" Saadi did not utter a word and allowed the
host to lead him to the dining room where other guests had assembled.
Tasty dishes had been laid out on grand carpets. Saadi wasoffered a
seat with soft cushions. The food was served in fine crockery and
cutlery made out of silver.
The host led Sheikh Saadi by hand and himself served out the chicken
soup and the fragrant rice to him. After this, something strange
happened. Sheikh Saadi dipped the corner of his waist-coat in the soup
and sprinkled some rice on it. Addressing the clothes, he said: "This
is a feast for you, you should enjoy it."
All the guests were now staring at him in surprise. The host
said,"Sir, what are doing? How can your colthes eat? And why should
they? To this query, Sheikh Saadi very calmly replied: "My dear
friend, I am indeed surprised with the question coming from you."
"Aren't you the same person who did not even throw a look at me when I
came dressed in simple clothes. I can guess that it is my clothes and
appearance that matter with you, not my individual worth. Now that I
have put on grand clothes, I see a world of difference in reception
here. All that I can now say is that this feast is meant for my
clothes, not for me."
