comes from the damage to kidney, which causes the decrease of
glomerular filtration. Therefore, metabolic byproducts and toxins
build up in human body. Thus creatinine level is elevated.
What causes high creatinine level relapsing?
■ If you are suffering from renal insufficiency, you can easily get a
high level creatinine with the inducing agents, such as cold,
pneumonia, enteral infections, urinary tract infection etc.
■ Dehydration. It can reduce renal blood volume and causes elevated
creatinine level to occur. Fever, hidrosis, decrease water intake,
diuresis, each of them can lead to pachyhemia, inducing reduction in
renal blood volume.
■ Renal toxic drugs can call high creatinine level back and even it is
not reversed.
■ When renal disease patients experience relapsing, they may appear to
have Oliguria or Anuria or even trigger Acute Renal
Insufficiency.Usually, they are troubledwith elevated creatinine level
at the same time.
■ Fatigue. Insufficient rest, fierce activity or work overtime can
also trigger the high level of creatinine temporarily.
In fact, the relapse of high creatinine level results from
unsuccessful recovery of kidney disease. Currently, most drugs and
therapies focus only on remitting symptoms and delay the progression
of kidney disease, but they can't stop it deteriorating. The primary
reason is that these treatments fail to remit it from the
root.********************************* *- visit for usefull, Islamic

Person Live on Dialysis
Live on Dialysis
Dialysis is performed as one's kidneys fail to work. It is kind of
outsources the kidney function. However, instead of curing Renal
Failure, dialysis just can sustain one's life.
How long will people liveon dialysis?
Some studies showed that the average life spanof people on dialysis is
five years. According to the statistics from The National Institute of
Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease, the rate of survivor is 80%
in one year, 64% in two years, 33% in five years and 10% through 10
years.
Nevertheless, there's no specific number for one individual, because
various influencing factors would appear and impact directly one's
longevity.
Factors influence the mortality includes age, physical condition,
underlying causes of the disease, diet, lifestyle, to name a few.
Age is believed to be one of the major influencing factors. It is said
that, 88% of people who are under 20 years old will survive through
five years of dialysis; the number falls to 71% when people around
20-44; the survival rate drops to only 44% in people between 45 to
64;10% for those over the age of 74.
All those numbers present us a fact that the younger the patients
are,the greater the survival rate will be. There's no certain evidence
to provethe mortality in people with dialysis is much greater in the
elderly, much less in the young. But physical condition and stronger
immunity inyoung people do help them to survive.
Another big reason accounting for the survival rate is underlying
causes. In other words, the causes of your Renal Failure are essential
to the life span. Different diseases obtain different mortalities.
Take high blood pressure, diabetes and polycystic kidney disease as
examples. Among all those culprits, polycystic kidney disease has the
highest survival rate, second one is high blood pressure, and the last
one is diabetes. They are 74%, 33% and 29% through five years
respectively.
Other factors include dietand lifestyle. My suggestions are following
a healthy diet and if necessary, make some life-related changes. If
you are a smoker, quit it anyway. In the meantime, stay away from
alcohol. Excessive consumption ofalcohol and cigarettes make one prone
to sufferfrom kidney disease or aggravates one's condition.
It is worthy to mention that, those with diabetes or high blood
pressure on dialysis make one prone to have a short lifespan. So they
should do whatever they can to

Obedience to the Prophet
Obedience to the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam)
Say: Obey Allah and theMessenger, but if you turn away, Allah loves
not the disbelievers. (Surat Ali Imraan 3:32)
The Quran commands obedience to the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam). Whenever the obedience of Allah is ordered, the obedienceof
the Final Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) is also mentioned
alongside. Here are some examples:
And obey Allah and theMessenger so that you may be blessed. (Surat Ali
Imraan 3:132)
And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. (Suratul Maaidah 5:92)
So fear Allah and set things right between you, and obey Allah and His
Messenger if you are (in truth) believers. (Suratul Anfaal 8:1)
O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not make
your deeds vain. (Surat Muhammad 47:33)
There are many more verses that command the obedience of both, Allah
and His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). On the contrary,
there are verses that command the obedience of the Prophet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam), but does not mention the obedience of Allah
alongside it:
And if you obey him (the Prophet, sallallahualaiyhi wa sallam),
youshall find the right path. (Suratun-Nur 54)
And establish regular prayer and pay the poor-due and obey the Prophet
so that you may be blessed. (Suratun-Nur 24:56)
On that day, those whodisbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will
wish that the earth might beleveled with them. (Suratun-Nisaa 4:42)
The reason that the obedience of the Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam) is not always mentioned with Allahs obedience is given in the
Quran, itself:
And whoever obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah. (Suratun-Nisaa 4:80)
Obedience to the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) does not mean
that thepeople who were present at the time of the prophethood of
Allahs Final Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) were to obey him
only, but the obedience of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam)
is a commandment for all of mankind and for all times. The Quran and
Islam are for all peopleof all times and if obedience to the Messenger
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) was meant for only his time, then it
would mean that the Quran and Islam were also only meant for one time.
But the Quran refutes this idea:
Say: O mankind! Indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you allso
believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read
nor write and who believes in Allah and in His Words and follow him so
that you may be led aright. (Suratul Araaf 7:158)
Obeying the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) is obeying Allah as
stated in verse4:80 of the Quran. The Quran states:
Nor does he (the Prophet, sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) speak of (his
own) desire. It is naught but an inspiration that is inspired, which
one of mighty powers has taught him. (Suratun-Najm 53:3-5)
The Prophet (sallallahualaiyhi wa sallam) received two types of
revelation from Allah. The first type is called al wahy al matluw,
which means the recited revelation and this refers to the Holy Quran,
which is the Speech of Allah.
The second type of revelation is not a part of the Quran, but the
Quran refers to it often. It is called al wahy ghayr al matluw, meaning
the unrecitedrevelation, which did not form any part of the Quran.
This is the revelation given to the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam) and is seen in his sayings (hadith) and his actions. Verses
3-5 of Surah 53, above, tell usthat the everything that the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said was inspired to him by Allah and
he never spoke out of his own desire. This type of inspiration is al
wahy ghayr al matluw and is proven in the Quran and examples of this
type of unrecited revelation will be produced below, insha Allah:
The Quran repeatedly orders the believers to establish the salah andto
perform them regularly. In verses 239and 240 of Suratul Baqarah, Allah
tells theMuslims that they can pray their salah in more convenient
ways, such as by riding whenthey are in a state of war, but they must
go back to their normal way of praying once they are in safety from
the enemies. Many points can be derived from the following ayah in
defense of al wahy ghayr al matluw:
Take due care of all theprayers and the middlemost prayer and stand
before Allah in total devotion. But if you arein fear then (pray) on
foot or riding, but when you are in safety, then recite the name
ofAllah in the way He taught you.
Firstly, the verse mentions taking care of all the prayers, which
means that there is more than one obligatory prayer for the believers
to perform. Yet, nowhere in the Quran will we find the exact number of
obligatory prayers. Only in the ahaadith of the Prophet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam), does it mention that five obligatory prayers have
been prescribed for the believers. So, it is proof that the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) received another type of revelation
telling him how many prayerswere prescribed, but this revelation was
notincluded in the Quran itself.
Secondly, the verse emphasizes the importance of taking care of the
middle prayer, but no definition of the middle prayer has been given.
The definition had been left up to the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam).
Thirdly, the verse says, recite the name of Allah in the way He taught
you, which means, perform your prayer in the way He taught you, since
this whole verse is talking about prayer. So, Allah is saying that
when one is in safety and is away from the harm ofthe enemy, then they
must go back to praying their salah the regular way, the way Allah had
taught them. Now, the following question arises: Whereare the
instructions on how to pray? It is found nowhere in the al wahy al
matluw, the recited revelation i.e., the Quran. The instructions on
how to pray was given to us by the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam), but Allah doesnt say, pray the way the Prophet taught you.
Allah says, the way He taught you. This means that the instructions of
the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) on how to perform the salah
were actually theinstructions of Allah, which He inspired to the
Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) through al wahy ghayr al
matluw. Subhannallah.
In verses 16-19 of Surah Qiyamah, we will find some more evidence al
wahy ghayr al matluw and that it is a revelation from Allah:
Move not your tongue with it in order to hasten it. It is on Us to
gather (in your heart) and to recite it. So, when We read it, follow
its reading. Then it is on Us to explain it.
In the underlined verse, Allah says that He will explain the
revelation to the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and it is
evident that its explanation will be a separate revelation from the
Quran, itself. Otherwise there wouldbe no need to say that He will
explain it if it was to be included in the Quran anyway. The
explanation of the Quran is found in the ahaadith of the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), which he received from an unrecited
revelation.
There are many more examples in the Quran of al wahy ghayr al matluw,
but we will not mention all of them in this paper.
Another issue that needs attention is the role that the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) was sent to play. Was he sent to merely
deliver the Quran to the people without explaining or teaching them
anything about it? Washis only job to hand over the Book and let the
people do whatever they wanted with it? Was his role like that of a
mailman? The answer is clearly a no and this answer is supported with
Allahs Words. In fact, Ibrahim (alaiyhis-salaam) prayed:
Our Lord! Raise in theirmidst a messenger from among themselves who
recites to them Your verses and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom
and purifies them. (Suratul Baqarah2:129)
Allah answered his prayer and He says in His Book about the Final
Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam):
Allah has surely blessed the believers with His favor when Heraised in
their midst a Messenger from among themselves, who recites to them the
Book and the wisdom, while they were, before, in plain error. (Surat
Ali Imraan3:164)
He is the One Who raised up, among the unlettered, a Messenger from
among themselves who recites the verses of Allah and makes them pure
and teachesthem the Book and the Wisdom. (Suratul Jumuah 62:2)
In these verses, Allah describes the role of the Prophet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam) and why he was sent and what he is to accomplish.
The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) was given the following
responsibilities:
1. To recite the verses of Allah.
2. To teach the Book of Allah.
3. To teach the Wisdom.
4. To make the people pure.
So the Quran clearly tells us that the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam) is not to merely recite and hand over the Quran to the people
without helping them gain its benefits and without helping them
understand it. He is required to recite the Book, teach it, explain
its wisdom, and through it, make the people pure by teaching them how
to apply it. The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) is the
authorityon how the Quran is recited. He is the only one who can
interpret it. He is the only one who can provide the wisdom of the
Quran to the people through divine guidance and heis entrusted with
the training of the people to bring his teachings into practice.
Say: Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; then if you turn away, upon
him rests what islaid on him and upon you rests what is laid on you.
If you obey him, you will be guided. (Suratun-Nur 24:54)
And we sent no messenger, but that heshould be obeyed by the leave of
Allah. (Suratun-Nisaa 4:64)
Verse 64 of Suratun-Nisaa, above, proves furthermore that the Final
Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) must be obeyed because every
prophet was sent to guide their people and it was required upon the
people to follow and obey him by the will of Allah. Messengers are the
spokesmen of Allah. People cannot obey Allah until they obey the
prophets. And when they obey the prophet, they must also follow him
and put into action the obedience:
Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, and Allah will love you and
forgive you your sins. (Surat Ali Imraan 3:31)
Believe then, in Allah and His Messenger, theunlettered Prophet, who
believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may be on
the right path. (Suratul Araaf 7:157)
There is indeed a good example for you in the Messenger of Allah for
the one who hopes (to meet) Allah and the Hereafter, and remembers
Allah much. (Suratul Ahzaab 33:21)
If it was not required for the people to follow the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) then it would have been an impossible
task for him to reform and purify them. If someone studies a certain
subject such as medicine, but they dont do any hands-on work to gain
experience, he cannot start working as a doctor immediately with no
supervision, risking the lives of his patients. He must be working
under the supervision of experienced doctors. In the same way, the
people cannot be giventhe Book of Allah only. Along with it, they must
be given a teacher to teach them the Books instructions and duties.
They must have a teacher to teachthem and set an example for them on
how to apply the Quran.
The Arabs were much more familiar with the language of the Quran as
well as its eloquent style than us. They received the verses of the
Quran directly fromthe Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and
witnessed its revelation. Yet, even they needed the explanation of the
Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) in regard to understanding the
meanings of the Quran. For example, Allah states in Suratul Ahzaab,
verse 59:
Oh Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the
believers that they should cast their outer jalabib (plural of jilbab)
over them; so that they may be known (for piety) and not harmed; and
Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
The companions (radiyyallahu anhum) did not know what the jalabib was
referring to. The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) explained
that it was one sheet that was used to cover the entire body, from
headto toe, leaving only the left eye to see and this was narrated by
Ibn Abbas (radiyyallahu anhu).
It does not make sensefor the Muslims of today to say, The Quranis
enough. We do not need the Sunnah. Arentwe more in need of theSunnah
than the companions and those who were actually present with the
Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam)? The Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) stated: Very soon a tradition of mine
will be related to a person lying on his couch who will say, The Book
of Allah (i.e., Quran) is enough between you and us. Whatever we find
in it as halal (lawful and permissible), we accept it as halal and
whatever we find in it as haram (unlawful and prohibited), we take
that as haram. Behold, whatever Allahs Messenger has declared as haram
is just like that which Allah has declared as haram.
It is ridiculous to claim that all the ahaadith are unreliable and
were not preserved. Allah has stated, in His Book:
Indeed, (it is) We who have revealed the Remembrance and indeed We
will guard it (from corruption). (Suratul Hijr 15:9)
The Remembrance, referred to in this verse, is the Quran and its
explanation and wisdom. There is no way we can obey the Quran without
obeyingthe Sunnah. If Allah didnot protect the Sunnahand the ahaadith,
then how can we act upon the Quran? The Quran tells us to pray. But if
the Sunnah is corrupt, then how do we pray? The Quran does not tellus.
The Quran commands believers topay zakah, but how much do we pay and
how often? The Quran does not say it, but the Sunnah does. The
companions of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) went through
so much pains and sacrifice to preserve the Sunnah ofthe Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). They knew every detailof when he would
say what he said, why hed say it, where hed say it,etc.
We see a good example of this in Abu Hurairah (radiyyallahu anhu), who
narrated: I have divided my night into three parts. In onethird of the
night, I perform salah. In one third, I sleep. And in one third, I
memorize the ahaadith of the Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam). Abu Hurairah (radiyyallahu anhu) reported more ahaadith than
any other companion.
One time Marwan ibn al-Hakam wanted to test Abu Hurairah's
(radiyyallahu anhu) power of memory. He sat with him in one room and
behind a curtain he placed a scribe, unknown to Abu Hurairah, and
ordered him to write down whatever Abu Hurairah said. A year later,
Marwan called Abu Hurairah again and asked him to recallthe same
ahaadith, which the scribe had recorded. It was found that he had not
forgotten or left out even a single word.
The companions (radiyyallahu anhum) of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi
wa sallam) used to do their best to memorizethe ahaadith of the
Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). Their encouragement and zeal
of preserving it came from the words of the Messenger (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam) when he said: May Allah bestow vigor to aperson who
hears my saying and learns it by heart and then conveysit to others
exactly as he hearts it. The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam)
also stated: Those present should convey (my sunnah) to those absent.
So, they also used to sit in groups together and discuss and share,
with each other, whatever ahaadith they knew. Another method of
preserving the Sunnah was by practicing it and in this way, they would
also be gaining personal benefit. Anas (radiyyallahu anhu) reported
that the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said: Preserve
knowledge by writing.
The famous collector ofahaadith, Imam Bukhari, who was among the
tabieen, traveled through so many cities and countries to collect the
authentic ahaadith of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). He
would not include any ahaadith who had unreliable narrators orchains
or any ahaadith that was not sahih. His book is referred most commonly
as As-Sahih Al-Bukhari.
The Quran proves to usthat obedience of the Prophet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam) is incumbent and required upon the believers and no
believer has any excuse not to obey andfollow the Messenger. Allah
describes those who are the true believers and only these will be
successfulin both worlds:
All that the believers say, when they are called to Allah and His
Messenger that they may judge between them, is that they say: We hear
and we obey. It is these who are successful. Whoever obeys Allah and
His Messenger and fears Allah and has awe of Himit is these who are
the winners. (Suratun-Nur 24:52)
But those who reject the authority of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi
wa sallam) and disobey him, are warned of a Allahs wrath, disapproval,
and punishment:
And whoever makes a breach with the Messenger after the right path has
become clear to him, and follows a way other than that of the
believers, We shall leave him in the path he chose and shall admit him
into the Hellfire; what an evil refuge! (Suratun-Nisaa 4:115)
(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allah, and His messages;
and whoso disobeys Allah and His Messenger, lo! his is the fire of
hell, wherein such dwell forever. (Suratul Jinn 72:23)
On that day, those whodisbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will
wish that they were level with the ground, and they can hide no fact
from Allah. (Suratun-Nisaa 4:42)
The disobedience of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) a very
big mistake and his obedience is a very significant matter. As stated
before, the obedience of the Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam)
is, in fact, the obedience of Allah. Everything theProphet (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam) did and said was revealed and inspired to him by
Allah. He never did anything out of his own desire. No one feared
Allah more thanthe Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and no one
was more lovedto Allah than His Beloved Final Messenger (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him the best. Prophet Muhammad
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) is the best guidance for mankind
especially in the present day where we see Jahiliyyah appearing from
all corners of the world. Only with his guidance and authority will
mankind prosper in this world and the next, which is why it is
compulsory for every believer to obey the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi
wa sallam).
La ilaaha illallahu Muhammadur-rasoolullah!
(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allah, and His messages;
and whoso disobeys Allah and His Messenger, lo! his is the fire of
hell, wherein such dwell forever.
Al Wala' Wal Bara' (Love and Hate for Allah's Sake)
Al Wala' Wal Bara' (Love and Hate for Allah's Sake)
Al Wala Wal Bara
In the current modern age, we find the Muslims in a pit of darkness.
The Muslims of today have adopted the ways of the enemy. They forbid
the good and enjoin the forbidden. They imitate the disbelievers and
choose them as their friends and trustees. They mock believers who
oppose the ways of the disbelievers and hypocrites. They help to
deviate people from the Path of Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu
alaiyhi wa sallam). They have left jihad for the pleasures and
pursuits of the material world. They have abandoned Shariah and
adopted Jahiliyyah. These people have strayed from the Straight Path
and they have turned away from al wala wal bara, and as a result, have
fallen into the trap of Shaytaan.
One of the aspects of iman is al wala wal baraloving and hating for
the sake of Allah Alone. It is one of the most important beliefsof
Islam after Tawheed. Allah says in His Book:
Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in
preference to believers. Whoever does this has no connection with
Allah unless you are guarding yourselves against them as a precaution.
Allah bids you to beware of Himself. And to Allah isthe journeying.
(Surat Ali Imran 3:28)
The reason why al wala wal bara is so important in Islam is because,
if it is taken into practice, it can remove all the characteristics of
Jahiliyyah from the Muslim Ummah, it guarantees the preservation of
the Ummah, and it distinguishes the believer from the disbeliever.
When one loves and hates for Allahs sake only, they are raised degrees
higher than those who love, hate, and act based on their own desires
or fake gods or for other meaningless things. Allah states in His
Speech:
Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah and those who
disbelieve do battle forthe cause of idols. So fight the friends of
Shaytaan. Surely, Shaytaans strategy is always weak. (Suratun-Nisaa
4:76)
This verse is speaking of al wala wal bara. Those who have iman and
belief and act upon al wala wal bara fight for Allahs cause and do
battle with His enemies to preserve His Deen, while those who
disbelieve fight for gods that dont evenexist. Allah commands:
And fight them until persecution is no moreand religion is for Allah.
(Suratul Baqarah2:193)
Only the people who love and hate for the sake of Allah will act upon
this command. These are the people that understand the meaning of al
wala walbara, which will be discussed below, InshaAllah.
The Prophet (sallallahualaiyhi wa sallam) said: The strongest bond of
faith is loyalty for the sake of Allah and opposition for His sake;
love for the sake of Allah and enmity for His sake.
But what does this loveand enmity exactly mean? Loving for the sake of
Allah means to love Allah and to show loyalty to Him by following His
Shariah. It means to love all that is good and permissible in the
Quran and Sunnah. This type of love requires one to defend Allahs deen
and to preserve it. It is to love those who are obedient to Allah and
to defend and assist them. These are the party of Allah. Enmity for
the sake of Allah signifies showing anger towards those who oppose
Allah, His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), His deen, and the
believers. It is to struggle and fight against them in order to uphold
and spread the way of Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam). There is a brilliant example of this in Ibrahim
(alaiyhis-salaam), as narrated by Allah in the Quran:
There is a good example for you in Ibrahim and those with him when
they told their people: Surely, we disassociateourselves from you and
all that you worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there
has arisen between us and you enmity and hate forever until you
believe in Allah Alone. (Suratul Mumtahanah 60:4)
Al wala wal bara requires one to ally oneself with Allah, His
Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), andthe believers
whereverthey are found against the disbelievers even ifit is against
their own relatives. We see this in the example of the Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), who fought against hisown relatives
and his own clan, all for the sake of Allah.
Al wala wal bara aims to purify the society and rid the people of all
vices. For example, we are required to oppose the way of the
disbelievers. One of their habits is wasting their time in pursuing
their own material desires. A Muslim who does not act upon al wala wal
bara will imitate this habit and therefore become neglectful of his
duties to Allah. This will lead to a corrupt person, who will end up
raising a corrupt family, which will corrupt the communityin whole.
If we look at the situation today in Afghanistan, how many Muslims
today are willing to leave their worldly pursuits and come to the aid
of Islam and their Muslimbrothers and sisters and fight for Allahs
cause against His and our enemies? How many of them will act upon al
wala wal bara, which is called for today? The religious situation of
the Muslims of today is very pitiful and sad and the answer is that
only a handful will run out to assist Allah and the faithful
believers.
We call ourselves Muslims, but what exactly is a Muslim? We cant just
expect that belief in Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa
sallam) is enough to bequalified for Jannah. Allah says:
Or think you that you will enter Paradise while yet there has notcome
unto you the like of (that which came to)those who passed away before
you? Affliction and adversitybefell them, they were shaken as with
earthquake, till the messenger (of Allah) and those who believed along
with him said: When comes Allah's help? Now surely Allah's help is
nigh. (Suratul Baqarah 2:214)
If we believe that belief in Allah is enough, then there is no
difference between us and the pagan Arabs of the pre-Islamic period,
who claimed to believein Allah and at the same time, worshipped
hundreds of other gods. Al wala wal bara is what distinguishes a
believer from a disbeliever. A believer allies himself with Allah only
and with his final Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and with
the believers. Allah says:
And the believers, menand women, are protecting friends one of
another; they enjointhe right and forbid the wrong and they establish
worship and they pay the poor-due and they obey Allah and His
Messenger. As for these, Allah will have mercy on them. Indeed, Allah
is Mighty,Wise. (Suratut-Towbah9:71)
O you who believe! Whoever of you becomes a rebel against his deen,
(know that in his place) Allah will bring a people whom He loves and
who love Him, humble towards the believers, harsh towards the
disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah and not fearing the blame
of any blamer. (Suratul Maaidah 5:54)
In order to be considered a believer, one must believe in Allah and
His Messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) as well as show and prove
that belief by assisting them and allying oneself with them against
the enemies of Islam. The plans of the disbelievers are clearlyexposed
in the Quran:
They long for you to disbelieve even as theydisbelieve, so that you
may be the same (as them). So do not choose friends from among then
until they go out in the way of Allah. (Suratun-Nisaa 4:89)
O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for
friends. They are friends of one another. And whoever of you takes
them for friends is (one) of them. SurelyAllah does not guide
wrongdoing people. (Suratul Maaidah 5:51)
We are warned to beware of the kaafireen, for, they say with their
mouths what is not in their hearts (3:167). They secretly plot against
the believers to get rid of them and their divine religionIslam. They
attack the Muslims and the people without the belief in al wala wal
bara will support themagainst the believers and this is what we see in
todays situation.
If the believers join together as one brotherhood, sharing amutual
love and hate for the sake of Allah, Islam will come out on top
regardless of how powerful their enemies may be. Whenthe Prophet
(sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and his companions (radiyyallahu anhum)
fought their battles, their enemies were always more in number and had
betterarmor, but the Muslimswere victorious as in the Battle of Badr.
Theyshared one cause: fighting for the sake of Allah. Today, we need
Muslims to do the same for their brothers, but where are they?
Al wala wal bara is something which is lacking in the hearts and
actions of Muslims worldwide. It is one of the more important aspects
of Islam. It wasbecause of this aspect that the companions and their
Chief Leader Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), together,
peacefully conquered lands and hearts all over the globe by the will
and grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Taala.
Subhannallahi wa bi hamdih! Subhannallahil-adheem!

One of the aspects of iman is al wala wal baraloving and hating for

(Surat Ali Imran 3:28)
The reason why al wala wal bara is so important in Islam is because,
if it is taken into practice, it can remove all the characteristics of
Jahiliyyah from the Muslim Ummah, it guarantees the preservation of
the Ummah, and it distinguishes the believer from the disbeliever.
When one loves and hates for Allahs sake only, they are raised degrees

(Suratul Baqarah2:193)
Only the people who love and hate for the sake of Allah will act upon

The Prophet (sallallahualaiyhi wa sallam) said: The strongest bond of

First Chapter – appearance/Fraizer's race for life
-What is life but a dream, sooner or later we will allhave to be
awoken, why not today?-
"Another boring day in life…"
Fraizer sighed as he crawled out of bed. At twenty eight years old,
Jack W Fraizer was five foot nine and had a lean, handsome face with
darkeyes. Fraizer was quite young for a language professor; in
addition, hewas also the only Asian professor teaching at Stanford
University.
Fraizer was smart, resulting in a very high pay. In fact, his salary
was higher than most of his American colleagues. This aroused jealousy
from other professors, and racial taunts were unavoidable.
I'll show those stupid Americans someday…Fraizer thought acidly and
started dressing. He glanced at the clock beside his bed top. 8
o'clock! Damn it, I've sleptin again!
Fraizer moaned and finished dressing. He wore a black tie and suit,
very awkward for a professor, perhaps too formal. Fraizer didn't care,
he loathed his job. Fraizer had dreamed to become a professional
dancer or a FBI agent when he grew up.
But I guess some things just don't work out. The only thing that's
keeping me in this warped school is the money…Fraizer's thought
trailed him as hescurried down the stairs. Just as he was about to
open the front door, the doorbell rang.
'Ding-Dong!' Fraizer was taken by surprise. Who would ring my doorbell
at 8:15 in the morning?
Fraizer cautiously openedthe door, and found himself staring awkwardly
at five unknown men. One was dressed entirely in black, he even wore
sunglasses. He looks pretty familiar, Fraizer muttered. He looked at
the other men, they looked like soldiers of some sort, and they all
wore identical things – heavy body amours, armyhelmets and machine
guns strapped behind their back. Their gazes showed no emotion but
gayness.
The man who resembled Bruce Lee broke the silence. "Hello Professor,
my name is Michael Phongsivorabouth," he smiled, but it was not a warm
smile, it was an ominous one.
"Michael…what? What kind of gay last name is that?"
"I'm afraid you're right. I am actually a homosexualperson. And I have
some bad news for you, professor," Michael intoned solemnly.
What? How can he just admit that he's a homo infront of everybody?
Well I guess nowadays homos aren't "that" weird…Fraizer considered for
a moment, and then casually replied: "What kind of news? Does it
involve dead bodies?"
"Apparently, yes, professor. I'm sorry it has to end this way."
"What? It hasn't even started!" Fraizer shouted, confused. "And what
are we talking about anyway?"
Michael nodded in immense gayness, but did not elaborate.
"Oh…SHIT!" Fraizer's eyes opened wide with horroras the four soldiers
unstrapped their machine guns and pointed them directly at him!
With pure survival instinct and quick reflexes, Fraizer turned and
dived back into his house, kicking the door shut behind him. For a
split second, he thought nothing would happen; then, it came.
Deafening sounds of fire power exploded all around him.
Fraizer quickly rolled away protecting his face from shattered glass
and small chunks of wood chips. 'Black Jesus!' he yelled as he felt an
enormous jolt of pain coming from his right arm. The pain nearly
overwhelmed his senses and with great difficulty he managed not to
dancearound yelling.
Fraizer stood up, he staggered a bit but regained his balance soon
after. Fraizer found the stair case and hurriedup, leaping across two
steps at a time, ignoring the pain as he did so. He reached the second
floor and ran straight for his bedroom, slamming the door shut after
him.
He checked his injuries – three bullet wounds and a couple of cuts
from shattered glass. They all hurt like hell. Okay…Fraizer's mind
raced, five crazy men with one of them really gay are trying to kill
me, and how do I kill them without dying?
The gunfire below him ceased abruptly. Fraizer could hear distant
footsteps closing in, now he definitely had to thinkfast.
"Well, it seems like I've ran out of options!" Fraizer spoke aloud,
examining the window beside his bed top. The footsteps were getting
closer. Lucky for Fraizer, gay Michael and his team moved slowly up
the stairs as though afraid of some kind of ambush, thus buying
Fraizer some more time. Unlucky for Fraizer, he came up with no ideas
that were sufficient enough in apprehending Michael and his team.
Fraizer opened the window and peered through it with fear. Christ, it
is two stories tall! He calculated the distance, probably 160 feet or
so, he then calculated the survival chance of staying or jumping.
"Definitely jumping," he mumbled bitterly.
As his right leg was aboutto cross through the window, a gay, taunting
voice came from not far behind: "Professor! We'regoing to get you!
Considering the inconvenience you have caused us during this hunt,
you're going to die a much, much horrible way than what I originally
had in mind. I won't mind getting a bit physical~ you know, the gay
kind of physical…"
The voice gave Fraizer a sick feeling in the stomach. However, he
couldn't resist throwing back a nasty quip at the gay man: "That's why
I couldn't find your great grandpa in your last wedding! I could've
sworn that you disappeared with him, we found his body the following
day in shreds!"
Just like that, Fraizer leaped through the window gracefully a second
before an angry gay man came charging through his bedroom door with
four others behind him! Fraizer soared through the air and for a
moment there he actually thought he

Beings our Lord created with strong senses
Why do some animals display extraordinary behaviors before an earthquake?
What are some beings' attitudes in the face of dangers?
What are some of the animal senses stronger than those of human beings?
Beings With Danger Signal
One of the biggest advantages of living as acommunity is that it
provides more protection against dangers because when any of the
animals that lives in the community senses danger, it warns the other
animals instead of simply silently escaping . Every living species has
a specific form of warning.
Rabbits and some deer lift their tails to warn theanimals around them
when they sense danger.
Many small birds signal alarm by a particular birdcall when they
sense their enemies. Species like the golden oriole make a
high-pitched sound witha narrow frequency interval when they give an
alarm. The human earsenses this as only a slight whistle. The most
important quality of this sound is that its source cannot be detected.
This is a very important advantage for the bird warning its pack,
because the bird actuallytakes the risk of drawingall attention to
itself by sounding off, but since the direction of the sound is not
certain, the danger is somewhat reduced.
In insects that live as colonies, the insect that first senses the
danger warns the rest of the colony. However, the alarm scent secreted
by the insect that communicates the danger also grabs the enemy's
attention . Therefore, the insect that warns its colony against danger
also takes the risk of death.
Prairie dogs live in massive colonies. Their nests, which bear
resemblance to a city, are divided into approximately 30 sections
where the animals live. All of the animals in this region know one
another. There are certain prairie dogs which keep guard at all times
standing on their back feet in a way as to see in all directions at
the entrance and exit of the tunnels. If one of the animals sees an
enemy, it makes a barking sound like a whistle. This warning is
repeated by the guards, and it causes the colony to go into an alarm
state.
Scientists who witness this cooperation in nature are amazed at the
extraordinary behaviors of these unconscious behaviors. No doubt,
Allah is the One Who directs these beings with His inspiration at all
times, controls every one of them and commands them how to behave.
This clear truth is revealed in the Qur'an assuch:
" Everything in the heavens and every creature on the earth prostrates
to Allah, as do the angels. They are not puffed up with pride. They
fear their Lord above them and do everything they are ordered to do. "
(Surat an-Nahl, 49-50)
Animals With Different Senses Than Human Beings
Allah created animals' sensory organs as stronger than those of human
beings. Some animals even have other sensory organs which humans do
not have, for example:
Since elephants are animals that live in vast open areas, it is very
important that there is a strong "communication"between them. This
communication is not only a result of elephants' strong sense of smell
. Besides this, Allah created an organ, which makes an ultrasound
noise that humans cannot hear, in the elephant's forehead. Thanks to
this organ, elephants can communicate with a secret and encrypted
language that other beings cannot understand. These ultrasound noises
made by elephants can reach to enormous distances. Therefore, this
special sound made by elephants is ideal for long distance
communication.
Some beings' eyes have far more advanced qualities than human beings.
For example, insects and bees can see ultraviolet light that the human
eye cannot . A layer in the eyes of mammals that hunt at nights and
night birds called the "tapetum" allows these beings to see in the
dark. Vultures in Africa can detect whether an animal lying on the
ground is dead orjust sleeping from a distance over 4,000 meters where
human beings cannot see that far even with binoculars.
Some animals' sense of smell is 100,000, even 1,000,000 times
strongerthan that of human beings. For example, dogs can sense even
the slightest smells called microphakia. Thanks to these
characteristics, dogs are used in the early diagnosis of some
metabolic distortions seen in men and characterized by different body
scents, as well as in police businesslike narcotics detection and
searching for fugitive criminals and in the search for trapped victims
of natural disasters such as landslides and earthquakes.
Some reptiles like the rattlesnake and horned viper have a special
sensory organ that detects temperature changes. This organ, found
inside a small concavity between the nostrils, is used to distinguish
whether objects are warm or cold. Thanks to this organ, snakes can
even detect low temperaturesbelow 1 0 C that come from a warm-blooded
animal (for example a mouse). At the same time, it is also very
sensitive against airflow and vibrations.
All beings emit electricityas well as heat. It is difficult for a
being that lives on land to detect these flows, because air acts as an
insulator. However, the situation isdifferent under water. Electricity
flows through water, which is a naturalinsulator. Therefore, a being
that can sense thiselectricity has a very effective advantage. Thus,
sharks are also beings with this advantage; they can sense all the
vibrations in water, temperature changes, salt level of water and
especially small changes in electricity fields caused by beings on the
move.
There are many cavities in sharks' bodies, filled with a jell-like
substance. Even though these cavities are mainly placed inside the
shark's head, they are spread throughout the fish's body. These
special organs, called " Lorenzini Bulbs" are perfect electricity
sensors. Sharks and speckled rays find their prey by using these
sensors. These organs are tied to the pores on the head and face of
the animal, and they are very sensitive as electroreceptors. So much
so that sharks can sense electrical displacement as minimalas one
twenty billionth of a volt. This is an amazing force, because this
means that when two 1.5 volt batteries areplaced 1,600 kilometers away
from one another, sharks would be able to detect the current emitted
from these batteries.
Allah, the All-Knowing and All-Powerful, is the One Who creates these
advanced senses of living beings or special organs. In one verse,
ourLord's art of creation is revealed as such:
" Allah created you from dust and then from a drop of sperm and then
made you into pairs. No female becomes pregnant or gives birth except
with His knowledge. And no living thing lives long or has its life cut
short without that being in a Book. That is easy for Allah. " (Surah
Fatir, 11)
Beings That Sense Earthquakes
Scientific research done has shown that tectonic layers are under a
very powerful pressure before an earthquake and that rocks released
electrically charged particles under this pressure. These particles go
into reaction when they meet with air or water and cause new molecules
to be formed. For example, hydrogen peroxide is formed as these
particles mix with water. This incident, which changes the water's
chemistry in puddles, is sensed by living beings, and causesthem to
display extraordinary behaviors and sense the earthquakes beforehand.
In 2009, an entire group of frogs that lived in a lake close to the
earthquake that affectedthe city of L'Aquila of Italy, left the area
three days before the earthquake.
In 1975, almost one month before the earthquake that took place in
the city of Haicheng, China, snakes collectively abandoned their
nests. The unusual point is that these snakes left despite the
freezing cold, which would lead to their deaths, by breaking short
their hibernation for the winter.
In some regions, it was observed that deep-water fish surfacedbefore
earthquakes.
As seen in these examples, every one of these beings is under Allah's
protection. Allah inspires each one of them how to behave and they
follow this inspiration completely. Each and every one has submitted
to Allah Who created them. In the Qur'an, this fact is revealed as
such:
" Everyone in the heavens and earth belongs to Him. All are submissive
to Him. " (Surat ar-Rum, 26)
Our Lord's Infinite Mercy Encompasses All Being and the Universe
The fact that living beings maintain their lives thanks to the special
sensory organs, instincts and alarm techniques our Lord granted to
them, and that they protect especially their offspringagainst dangers
with great care and cooperate with one another, are only some of the
evidences of creation that one needs to think about.
There is no doubt that living beings do not make these characteristics
of their own freewill. Everything in nature is the work of our Lord,
Who has infinite knowledge and might, and each one moves with His
inspiration. He has superior might, compassion, mercy, intelligence,
knowledge and wisdom. This truth isrevealed in one verse of the
Qur'an:
" I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no
creature He does not hold by the forelock. My Lord is on a Straight
Path. " (Surah Hud, 56)
Everything in nature is the work of Allah, Who has infinite knowledge
and might. Allah is the One Who creates all beings, men, animals,
insects, plants, all animate and inanimate beings, and Who has
superior might, compassion, mercy, intelligence, knowledge and wisdom.
In the verses, it is revealed as such:
" All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of
the earth,Lord of all the worlds. All greatness belongs to Him in the
heavens and earth He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. " (Surat
al-Jathiyya, 36-37)
There is an impeccable order in the entire universe. There is no doubt
that this is the creation of Allah, Who controls animate and inanimate
thing from the smallest microorganism to the giant planets of the
Solar System. Every one of the beings, which are full of perfections,
also submits to Allah Who created it and carries out the commands our
Lord planned for it. In one verse it is revealed as follows:
" Say: 'To whom does everything in the heavens and earth belong?' Say:
'To Allah.' He has made mercy incumbent on Himself. He will gather you
to theDay of Rising about which there is no doubt. As for those who
have lost their own selves, they have no iman. " (Surat Al-An'am , 12)

What are some of the animal senses stronger than those of human beings?

''The thunder glorifiesHis praise''
3 billion thunders a year…
A source of energy that moves at a speed of 96.000 km per hour and
releases 30.000 degrees of heat.
Have you ever thought how thunder, one of themost magnificent
atmospheric incidents that Allah creates, is formed and how it is
capable of releasing such a high amount of energy?
During rainfall, thunder and lightning that are made up of bright
lights forming in the course of atmospheric discharge of electricity
are in fact energy resources producing more electricity than
thousands of power plants; besides being a climatic phenomenon. The
answer to the questions of how these natural energy sources are formed
and how powerful they give out light and heat is a wonder of creation
revealing the Ever-Lasting Might and Glory of Our Lord.
A magnificence forming in a split second: Miracle of Lightning
• The energy released by a single lightning boltis greater than the
energy produced in all power plants across the entire America.
• One lightning can light a 100 watt bulb for more than 3 months.
• At the contact point of a lightning to the ground, weather is
warmed up to 25.000oC. The speed of a lightning bolt is 150.000 km per
second and its average thickness is 2.5-5 cm.
• Lightning produces nitrogen molecules that are essential for the
vegetation covering our Earth to sustain its life.
• An average lightning possesses 20.000 ampereof electric power. A
welder uses only 250-400 ampere to weld steel.
• Lightning moves at a speed of 150.000 km per second, that is
almost at half of the speed of lightand it is 100.000 times faster
than sound.
Light released by one lightning is greater than that of 10 million
100-watt light bulbs. That is to say; if every house in Istanbul had a
light a bulb on, illumination from a single lightning bolt would be
greater. Allah announces this glamorous flash of lightning as: "…The
brightness of His lightning almost blinds the sight.." (Surat An-Nur,
43)
How is lightning formed?
Air, warmed by the sunlight rises carrying along the water evaporating
inside it. When this risen air reaches 2-3 km, it comes into contact
with the layers of cold air.
Ice crystals that are formed inside the cloudsat the time of air
rising, release static electric energy formed due to friction. This
electrical energy is loaded positive(+) on top layers of the clouds
and negative (-) on low layers. When the cloud is loaded enough to
ionize the air; lightning is formed.
Why does it thunder?
Lightning heats the air nearby up to 30.000 degrees Celsius in one
millionth of a second. The air warmed up dilates. And it propagates
sound wavesmuch faster than the speed of sound; with a pressure 100
times greater than the normal atmospheric pressure. Similar to the
airplanes crossing the speed of sound, this causes an explosion sound
in the air. And this is named as thunder.
Why does not the light and sound of thunder reach the earth simultaneously?
This is because the sound of thunder reaches us at the speed of sound
(340 m/secondsin air); whereas the visual aspect of the lightning
reaches us at the speed of light (299.793 km/seconds). This causes a
time difference between the two incidents and thus results in the
bolt reaching the earth before the thunder.
What is the difference between lightning and thunderbolt?
When the difference in electric charge becomes greater between the
earth and the cloud, it becomes easier for air tobe pierced and from
earth to the cloud; electrical discharge starts through the conductor
duct formed by the pierced air. The electrical discharge fromthe
clouds is called lightning and the electrical discharge fromthe earth
back to the cloud is called thunderbolt or return stroke.
The fact of lightning declared in the Holy Quran
Surah Ar-Ra'd is one of the chapters in the Quran and it means "TheThunder".
Allah announces that thethunder formed by the lightening repeats His praises:
"The thunder glorifies His praise, as do the angels, out of fear of
Him. …" (Surah Ar-Ra'd, 13)
Strike of lightning reminds us of death
Experiences of those who survived a strike of lightning that causes
thedeath of hundreds of people every year, remind us of death as well
as revealing the helplessness of man in the Presence of Allah.
The possibility of gettingstruck by lightning is one in 700,000; yet
one should not underestimate this possibility as well as the effects
of the lightning. According to the statements made by those who have
been struck by lightning, the electrical current can explode the
buttons and zippers on the clothes and people can faint andfall down.
Due to brain damage, people who have been treated for 1-2 months at
the intensive care divisions of hospitals are having to re-learning
how to walk, how to swallow, or in other words how to live again.
These people have described how they felt, and say it is as if they
"lived death and then were resurrected."
In the Holy Quran, a very similar incident occurredin a strike of
lightning Allah showed to the people of Prophet Moses(as). With a
disgraceful and false courage, the Israelites demanded thatthe Prophet
Moses (as) enable them to see Allah with their own eyes and while
demanding this, they were shown the similar effect of a lightning. The
following statements in the verse "So the thunder-bolt struck you
dead" and "Then We brought you back to life after your death," may be
a sign forthe fact that they felt resurrected after their heart stop
related to the shock as well as the loss of consciousness and loss of
memory they experienced. (Allah knows the best). Here are the related
verses in the Quran:
And when you said, 'Moses, we will not believe in you until we see
Allah with our own eyes.' So the thunder-bolt struck you dead while
you were looking. Then We brought you back to life after your death,
so that perhaps you would show thanks. (Surat al-Baqara, 55-56)

Is urinary incontinence caused by the jinn, and what should he do whenpraying?.
about someone having trouble while making wudoo .I have similar
problem, or even worst. When ever I want to pray I feel gas coming out
of me, if I go to toiletfor urine I spend more than 30 min but urine
and other liquid keep oncoming from my private part during salaat I
have excessive desire to go to toilet, I have to repeat my ablution
again and again this situation is really embarrassing me, it makes
salaat very difficult for me and this really had affect my faith. I am
sure is not a kind of illness because I have seen many doctors but no
improvement, and also this problem comes only when I want to pray.
Some people said it could be a jinn which has entered my body.
Please tell me how can I do my salaat easily, can I pray more than one
salaat with the same wudoo even when thesethings are coming out ofme.
If this is cause by Jinn how can I get ride of it?
Praise be to Allaah.
Urinary incontinence and similar conditions where liquid etc, is
passed involuntarily and one cannot control it, should not be given
any attention, rather the person should pray according to his
situation, even if that liquid etc. is emitted during prayer, because
it is too difficult to avoidit. Allaah says (interpretation of the
meaning):
"and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship"
[al-Hajj 22:78]
But if he fears that his body or clothes may become contaminated, he
should wrap it (i.e. the private part) with a cloth or similar, and
prayafter doing wudoo', and he should not pay attention to anything
that comes out that he cannot control. This is anordinary kind of
sickness, which is very common, and it is not caused by the jinn.
Tahaarah (purity) is essential so you have to renew it (i.e., renew
wudoo') for each obligatory prayer.

Belief in thewitchcraft, jinn, evil - , Dought & clear - , How was the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) bewitched?.
of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) bewitched, when
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Allaah will protect you from mankind" [al-Maa'idah 5:67]?
How could he have beenbewitched when he was receiving Revelation from
His Lord and conveying that to the Muslims? How could he convey it if
he was bewitched, and the kaafirs and mushrikeen said:
"You follow none but a man bewitched"[al-Furqaan 25:8 – interpretation
of the meaning]
We hope that you could explain this and clear up these doubts.
Praise be to Allaah.
It was proven in a saheeh hadeeth that thiswitchcraft took place in
Madeenah, when the Revelation and the Message had become
well-established and clear, and after the evidence of Prophethood and
the truthfulness of the Message had been confirmed, and after Allaah
had supported HisProphet against the mushrikeen and humiliated them.
Then a Jewish person called Labeed ibn al-A'sam came to him and did
some kind of witchcraft against him, using a comb and the hairs
stuckto it and the skin of pollen of a male date palm. He – the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – started to
imagine that he had done something with his wife when he had not done
it, but his reason, feelings and ability to distinguish matters
remained with him with regard to the things he was telling thepeople,
praise be to Allaah. So he continued to speak to the people ofthe
truth which Allaah had revealed to Him. Buthe felt that something was
affecting him with regard to his wives, as 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be
pleased with her) said: "He used to imagine thathe had done something
in the house with his wife when he had not done it. So Revelation came
to him from his Lord via Jibreel (peace be upon him), telling him what
had happened. So he sent someone to take that thing [the material used
for witchcraft purposes] out of the well of one of the Ansaar, and he
destroyed it." Then the effects of that left him, praise be to Allaah,
and Allaah revealed to him the two soorahs of seeking refuge with
Allaah (al-Mi'wadhatayn,the last two soorahs of the Qur'aan). He
recited them and all harm left him. The Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allaah be upon him) said: "Those who seek refuge can never seek
refuge with anything like them." Nothing resulted from this witchcraft
that could have harmed the people or undermined the Message or
Revelation. Allaah protected him from the people with regard to the
matter of receiving and conveying the Message.
But with regard to the kinds of harm that befellthe Messengers, he
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wasnot protected from
them, rather some such things befell him too. He was wounded on the
day of Uhud, and his helmet was smashed on his head and his cheek was
cut, some of the rings from his chain mailpierced his cheeks, he fell
in one of the holes that were there, and they subjected him to intense
persecution in Makkah. He suffered some of the things that the
Messengers before him had suffered, and that were decreed for him, by
means of which Allaah raised him in status and multiplied his hasanaat
(reward for good deeds). But Allaah protected him from them, so that
they were not able to kill him or to prevent him from conveying the
Message; they were not able to prevent him from fulfilling his
obligation to convey the Message, so he conveyed it and fulfilled the
mission withwhich he had been entrusted. May the peaceand blessings of
Allaah be upon him, and praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Rulings of Zakaat al-Fitr
The scope of worship in Islam is universal, in the literal sense. For
the Quran tells us that each and every constituent of creation near or
far, seenor unseen, animate or inanimate - worships The True and
Only God. " Indeed, every being in the heavens and the earth but
comesto the All-Merciful as a worshipper." [Quran; 19: 93] It is only
human beings, then, that are called upon to voluntarily join in the
wonderful symphony of worshipful creation.
Islam's five pillars are the cornerstones upon whichwe build such an
outstanding and worshipful life. But no such establishment of a
dignified life of faith on earth, either personally or socially, can
take placewithout one essential pillar that represents the
intersection of our professed convictions and our practical lives.
Zakaah is that pillar, for itis the primary instrumentthat Allaah has
placed at our disposal to spirituallyand socially uplift every Muslim
and the entirety of our community and thereby to assert a benevolent
hand for the commonweal of humanity. Among Zakaah's most blessed
manifestations - and certainly its most widespread - is the obligatory
annual giving of the Zakaatul-Fitr charity, before the solemnizing of
Ramadhaan by 'Eed prayer.
The Overarching Meaning of Zakaah
The Arabic word 'Zakaah'means 'purity,' 'cleansing,' 'wholesomeness,'
and 'integrity' (in both their physical and moral senses). It means,
also, 'growth' or 'increase.' Understanding these linguistic meanings
helpsour proper appreciation of what Zakaah is as a financial, or
fiduciary ritemandated by Allaah. For, indeed, each of these senses
finds its native expression in Zakaah's correct function in our lives
and in our local communities and societies. It is known alsoby the
term Sadaqatul-Fitr, or the Sincere, or Righteous Charity of Fast
Breaking, because it testifies to one's sincerityto Allaah and his or
her righteousness in seeking to comply with Allaah's legislation, or
SanctionedLaws and legislations.
Zakaah's primary goal is not that of simple"charity." Allaah has
instituted other mechanisms for this purpose. Rather, Zakaah is much
farther seeing and reaching. Its objective is to secure the
psycho-spiritual well-being of every single Muslim as an individual
servant of Allaah, and to safeguard the socio-moral welfare of the
entire Muslim nation.
The reason that the objectives of Zakaah are so profound and sweeping
is that its principle is so universally sound and materially decisive.
Zakaah is the incumbent giving of wealth, in all its material
manifestations, from all those who have it (and this is its
comprehensive aspect) to all those whose need gives them aright to a
minimally dignifying sum from it—and this is its deeper significance.
For it meansthat Allaah has chosen to invest the wealth of someof us,
for lawful increase, with others among us as a trust that must be
conveyed to its rightful beneficiaries, if our own holdings are to
remain pure and our societies are to have integrity.
What is, indeed, so profound about this is that it underscores to
humanity that all of its wealth, in fact, is disbursed to it on loan
from Allaah, who, as the Creator, is the sole Ownerof life and all
that the living possess. Allaah has revealed this pillar of faith to
every believing community in history. ButHe has expanded it into an
inclusive, highly systematized institution enjoined upon all who would
follow Islam.
The Sum of Zakaat al-Fitr
Originally, the stated amount of Zakaatul-Fitr was a Saa' of dates, or
barley, or wheat. A Saa' was a "goblet," or drinking utensil, at the
time of the Prophet . There have been periodicinquiries by Muslim
scholars (like the well-known investigationby Abu Yoosuf, the great
Hanafi scholar) to determine updated weight-and-measure equivalents to
that of theof Saa' at the time of the Prophet . There is some minimal
discrepancy, or difference, in determining this weight based upon the
conversion of quantities of varying items (dates and wheat, for
example) into a unified measure. Thus a Saa' is now estimated to be
equal to anywhere from 2.176 to 2.25 kilograms, or just under 5 lbs.
There is, however, an opinion in the Hanafi school of jurisprudence
with regard to determining the correct amount of Zakaatul-Fitr that
specifies a half a Saa'of harvested wheat grainor its flour, but one
full Saa' for items such as barley, dates, and raisins. However, this
was based on the availability, or scarcity, of these items at the time
this opinion emerged. Hence, the price of the staple items by which
Zakaatul-Fitr is determined must be reconsidered in contemporary
circumstances to the advantage of the Zakaat-Fitr recipients.
The classical Maaliki, Shaafi'ee and Hanbali positions on the type of
Zakaatul-Fitr offering discusses payment only interms of weights and
measures of provisions, or foodstuffs. It is the Hanafi opinion,
however, that holds sway in this matter, which states that Muslims may
give the price of Zakaatul-Fitr, originally determined forgrains and
dates, in contemporary currency equivalents. They argue this position
on the basis of a higher good or morepracticable benefit, saying that
money enables the needy personto buy what he or she deems to be most
desirable or necessary onthe day of 'Eed. They point out that a person
may, for example, not be in need of a provision of corn, or the like,
but rather in want of clothing, or meat, etc.
Who is liable for the Zakaat al-FitrPayment
As we have noted previously, every Muslim is liable for the payment of
Zakatu-Fitr, provided food exists for one, and one's dependents, for
'Eed eve and the following day. Knowing now what a Saa' is, in terms
of its contemporary weight equivalents, we can be more exact in
defining who is liable to make the Zakaatul-Fitr payment. Every
Muslim, whether rich or poor, who possesses (or has stored on his
behalf) grains, or similar foodstuffs - or themonetary means of
achieving the like of this - sufficient for one's sustenance, and that
of one's dependents for a full night and day, must give Zakaatul-Fitr.
This sum is due not per household, but per person. The Prophet said:
"Give Zakaatul-Fitr on behalf of [all your] dependents" [Al-Bayhaqi],
for he indicated that Zakatul-Fitr would purify the wealth of the rich
and bethe cause of Allaah givingmore to the poor than what they have
given. Thus whoever meets the feeding requirements forhis or her
family must pay the Zakaatul-Fitr payment for each and every household
member.
The Shaafi'ee and the Hanbali schools of jurisprudence state that
aMuslim should give the Zakaatul-Fitr payment on behalf of him - or
herself and on behalf of every single person under his or her
care—including one's wife; children (even if they are older but still
dependent, or ineligible to make the payment according to
Zakaatul-Fitr requirements); parents (ifthey are poor or dependent);
and any others who are established dependents of the household (such

dignified life of faith on earth, either personally or socially, can
take placewithout one essential pillar that represents the
intersection of our professed convictions and our practical lives.
"Give Zakaatul-Fitr on behalf of [all your] dependents" [Al-Bayhaqi],
for he indicated that Zakatul-Fitr would purify the wealth of the rich
and bethe cause of Allaah givingmore to the poor than what they have
given. Thus whoever meets the feeding requirements forhis or her
family must pay the Zakaatul-Fitr payment for each and every household
member.
The Shaafi'ee and the Hanbali schools of jurisprudence state that
aMuslim should give the Zakaatul-Fitr payment on behalf of him - or
herself and on behalf of every single person under his or her
care—including one's wife; children (even if they are older but still
dependent, or ineligible to make the payment according to
Zakaatul-Fitr requirements); parents (ifthey are poor or dependent);
and any others who are established dependents of the household (such

Kindness to children
Abu Hurayrah narrated: "Oncethe Prophet and I went out during the day.
While on the journey, he did not talk to meand I did not talk to him.
When we reached the market of Bani Qaynuqaa', he sat in the front-yard
of Faatimah's house and asked: ' Is Luka' home? (i.e., 'the small boy'
- his grandson Al-Hasan)' But Faatimah kept the boy inside for a
while. I thought she was either changing his clothes or giving him a
bath. After a while, the boy came out running and the Prophet embraced
him and kissed him on the mouth; then he said: 'O Allaah! Love him,
and love whoever loves him.'" [Al-Bukhaari& Muslim] In other
narrations of this incident, Al-Hasan came out walking quickly and
jumped into the lap of the Prophet who had his arms extended towards
him, and who then hugged and kissed him.
Abu Hurayrah said: "After I heard the Prophet saying this, there was
nobody that I loved more than Al-Hasan." He also said: "It is never
that I saw Al-Hasan after having heard this, except that I cried."
The saying of Abu Hurayrah : "…He did not talk to me…" was probably
due to the Prophet being busy thinking about something, or being
inspired, or receiving revelation at the time.
As for his saying: "…and I did not talk to him…" is due to him
glorifying and honouring the Prophet ; this was the practice of the
Companions whenever they would see the Prophet silent.
This narration is a reflection of how great the Prophet was, due to
his coming to visit this child, which illustrated the love and mercy
that he had for him. This was despite the great responsibilities he
had as a leader of the entire Nation and the fact that he was busy
being a guardian over their affairs, the custodian of their treasury,
or Bayt Al-Maal, the dispatcher of the Muslim armies and the teacher
and preacher to all the Muslims. Moreover, he was also receiving
revelation from his Lord and contemplating over what happened to the
previous nations who disobeyed Him.
Despite all this, he did not forget in the midst of all these tasks
and responsibilities to check on his grandchild and try to bring joy
to him, as well as checking on his daughter and son-in-law. He sat in
front of the house waiting for his grandchild to come out, and
extended his arms towards him when he did so; he hugged and kissed
him, and this love wasreflected and reciprocated by the reaction of
the child who walked quickly and jumped into the lap of the Prophet .
Another narration that reflects the kindness that the Prophet had for
children is that which is narrated by Anas Ibn Maalik who said: "I
never saw anyone kinder and more merciful with children than the
Prophet . His son, Ibraaheem, would breastfeed from a woman in the
'Awaali area of Madeenah; he used to go and visit him and we would
accompany him. He used to enter the house in which Ibraaheem was and
find him with some splashes of the milk that he had drunk, on his
face; he would pick him up and kiss him." 'Amr who was one of the
Companions accompanying the Prophet in his visits, said: "After the
death of Ibraaheem, the Prophet said: 'Ibraaheem is my son and he died
whilst in the age of breastfeeding; he will have two women
breastfeeding him in Paradise until he concludes the age of
breastfeeding.' " [Muslim]
This narration reflects the noble manners of the Prophet and his
kindness to children. It also highlights the virtue of being merciful
with children and kissing them.
Ibraaheem died when he wassixteen or seventeen months old, which is why
the Prophet saidthat he died whilst at the age of breastfeeding,
because the complete breastfeeding term is usually two full years, as
mentioned in the Quran.
Many of those who are busy with worldly affairs or matters related to
the religion are thereby deprived of other matters; they are busy
teaching or leading others, or attaining wealth, and are thereby
deprived from kissingtheir children, playing with them, and cultivating
them properly. Nomatter how busy a person claimsto be, it is
impossible that he is busier than the Prophet was, who had time for
this despite his numerous and great responsibilities. The propagators
of Islaam, and others in general, have a duty towards their families
and kinsfolk which they must fulfil, despite their responsibilities.
A child has a very special position in the Islamic community, and
heshould get the required attentionand care which will make him grow
up balanced and well mannered.
Unlike what some may believe, possessing manhood, dignity andhonour
does not contradict caring for and playing with children. This is
reflected in the narration of Abu Hurayrah who said: "The Prophet
kissed Al-Hasan once while Al-Aqra' Ibn Haabis was sitting with him,
so Al-Aqra' said, `I haveten children; never did I kiss any of them.`
The Prophet therefore looked at him and said: 'Allaah will not be
merciful with the one who is not merciful to others. ' " [Al-Bukhaari]
A person who works as a preacher in a prison in a western country said
that an imprisoned drug addict once informed him that he would always
stub out his cigarette on his child's body, until he killed the child.
This is truly an ugly face of the west thatis reflected by this story;
what kind of civilisation do they have? What benefit did they gain
from their technology when their communities are overwhelmed with
immorality, lack of faith, and children who are murdered and tortured
like animals? This has become such a widespread phenomenon that there
are now designated telephone numbers for children to call and seek
help and protection if their parents harm or torture them.
But who are these children seeking protection from? It is from their
own parents, who torture them in such a barbaric manner that it
shatters the feelings of those who only get to hear about it.
A true believer should take lessons from the Names of Allaah; one of
His Names is the All-Merciful, so a believer should strive to be
merciful. Another of His Names is the Compassionate, so a believer
should work hard tobe compassionate and kind to others, especially his
children.
The father's love for his children should not be buried under his load

love and kindness to them and strive to cultivate them

How children receive Ramadhaan
looked up at Tessniem."OK, so what are we going to do this Ramadhaan?"
Her cheerful face lit up."Paint the windows." Looking at my pretty
white sheers I forced my head to nod. "OK, what else do we do during
Ramadhaan?" Omar jumped off the couch…"Not eat, ah, I mean
fast.""That's right, we fast for a whole month," said Tessniem, gently
wrapping her arms around her chest and hugging her self. "I love
Ramadhaan, it's fun." Omar said, "Yea, it's great, we get to choose
whatever we want to break our fast with."
I could tell by his eyes that he was remembering steaming corn dogs
out of the oven dipped in ketchup with a glass of chocolate milk. "And
what makes that food taste so especially good?" I asked sitting upon
the couch. Omar raised his hand high into the air like he was in
class. "I know, I know," he screamed." Omar you can put your hand
down, we aren't in class now." Omar lowered his arm and smiled
"because we are doing it for Allaah and when we eat we remember
Allaah."
Tessniem jumped in,"and the poor people who don't have any food like
the ones in Somailia and Ba…" Omar turned toher, "you mean Bosnia ."
Tessniem looked up at Omar "yea Bas, that placeOmar said." Omar's head
lowered and his mouth's edges dipped down. Taking his hand. "What's
wrong Omar?" "I just remembered the stories about the Bosnians eating
grass because there was nothing to eat during the war." Breathing
deep, "yea, there is a lot to be thankful for." Tessniem walked up to
me with her shoulder raised close to her ears. "Remember that picture
of the Somalibaby on the ground and the vulture waiting for him to
die?" I did not even have to think back, the picture is forever seared
in my memory.
Placing my arms around Tessniem, I brought her close to me on the
couch.Omar scooted over to me and hugged my other arm. Looking at the
floor,he leaned his cheek against my arm. "Mama?"he whispered. I made
a soft hmm to let him knowI was listening. "Can we send them some
money so they can buy food?" Sitting up I smiled, "Yes, every year we
give them Zakaat."
Rubbing his eyes I could see his wheels spinning in his brain, got up
and ran to his bedroom. I thought for a minute he was going off to
cry. I could hear the closet door open and the soundof jingling down
the hallway. He quickly turned the corner and stopped abruptly in
frontof me holding out a plastic spice container filled with paper
riyals and change. With his facesolemn he moved it closer to me so I
could take it from him. "Omar, what do you want me to do with it?"
With puzzledexpression he looked at me like I was seriously confused.
"Mom… It's for the poor people, who don't have any food."
Taking the plastic container, I started slowly unscrewing the red lid.
"And how much do you want to give to them?" Omar scrunched up his face
and held out his right hand upward as if to say 'you still don't get
it?' He sighed heavily and took the container and dumped it onto my
lap. "All of it Mom!" I thought I should get into the concept of
percentages for Zakaat, but it just didn't seem appropriate.
Looking down on my lap,I knew he had been saving his money for a
Spiderman at Wonder World. I was getting ready to tell him about the
reward from Allaah when Tessniem appearedin the living room with her
spice container bank.Smiling she untwisted the red lid and dumped the

Dought & clear - , Can zihaar occur beforeconsummation of the marriage? What is the ruling on one who divorced his wife by zihaar if he has intercourse with his wifebefore offering expiation?.
I am a man who has been married for about two months. One week before
my wedding, oneof my female relatives tried to hurt me by saying
something about me to my wife to cause trouble for me. I heard about
this from one of my sisters and I said: "Mywife is as haraam to me as
my mother; I shall not consummate the marriage with her until after I
harm her as she tried to harm me." My sister tried to calm me down and
my brother came to me and spoke tome. Then I calmed down and forgot
about the matter until a while ago, when my wife and I were speaking
about zihaar. Please note that Iswore the oath when I was married, but
I had not yet consummated the marriage. Now I am uncertain about my
situation. I asked a shaykh from Yemen and he gave me an answer based
on the Ithna 'Ashari madhhab! He toldme that it is regarded as an oath
and expiation must be offered for it, but I am not sure about the
fatwa of the Ithna 'Ashari madhhab.
Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
If a man states that his wife is as haraam to him as his mother is or
another mahram womanwho is permanently forbidden to him, then he has
uttered a great evil and spoken falsehood, and he comesunder the
rulings that result from zihaar. His wife remains haraam to him until
he has fasted for two consecutive months; if he is not able to do that
because of a legitimate shar'i reason, then he must feed sixty poor
persons.
For zihaar to take place, it is not stipulated that he should have
consummated the marriage with his wife; it is sufficient for him
merely to have done the marriage contract with her for these rulings
to come into effect.
Secondly:
What appears to us to bethe case is that what yousaid comes under the
heading of conditional zihaar. Because you decided not to cause harm
to that woman, then you come under the rulings on zihaar. So you have
to repent from saying that and your wife remains haraam to you until
you have offered the expiation forzihaar.
The scholars of the Standing Committee were asked:
There was an argument between my father and my oldest brother, and my
oldest brother said something, which was: "My wife is as haraam to me
as my mother." That was in a moment of anger. My brother has done the
marriage contract with this wife of his but he has not consummated the
marriage with her and there has not been any wedding party until now.
I hope that you canadvise me.
They replied:
If what is mentioned about your brother declaring his wife to be
haraam to himself is correct, and that happened after he did the
marriage contract with his wife, then he has committed a major sin and
he has to offer expiation for zihaar before he can touch his wife,
whether he said that before consummating the marriage with her or
after. Expiation for zihaar is freeing a believing slave. If that is
not possible, then he must fast for two consecutive months. If he is
not able to do that, then he should feed sixtypoor persons, giving
thirty saa's of wheat, half a saa' for each poor person.

'Afeefi; Shaykh 'Abdullah ibn Ghadyaan; Shaykh 'Abdullah ibn Munayyi'
End quote from Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Da'imah, 20/277
If you had consummatedthe marriage with your wife – as appears to be
the case – then you haveto stop being intimate with her immediately;
it is not permissible for you to continue being intimate with her
beforeyou have offered expiation for zihaar.
The scholars of the Standing Committee said:
With regard to what youhave done of intercourse before offering
expiation as a result of ignorance before starting to fast, you do not
owe any penalty for that because you had the excuse of ignorance. But
now you must avoid having intercourse until you have completed the
fasting.

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, Shaykh BakrAbu Zayd

Thirdly:
It is not permissible for aMuslim to follow the Shi'i (Ithna 'Ashari)
madhhab with regard tobasic issues or minor matters, or to be happy if
they are in agreement with Ahl as-Sunnah (concerning some issue),just
as it does not matterif they differ from us. It is not permissible
for you to consult one who will advise you in accordance with their
madhhab or give you a fatwa based on their opinions.

about the matter until a while ago, when my wife and I were speaking
about zihaar.

If you had consummatedthe marriage with your wife – as appears to be
the case – then you haveto stop being intimate with her immediately;
it is not permissible for you to continue being intimate with her
beforeyou have offered expiation for zihaar.
The scholars of the Standing Committee said:
With regard to what youhave done of intercourse before offering
expiation as a result of ignorance before starting to fast, you do not
owe any penalty for that because you had the excuse of ignorance. But
now you must avoid having intercourse until you have completed the
fasting.

Dought & clear - , Putting one’s trust in Allah and taking measures.
about the issue of putting one's trust in Allah (tawakkul) and taking
measures; the trust of some of the righteous is like that of Maryam,
to whom summer fruits used to come in the winter and vice versa
without her taking any measures; rather she focused completely on
worship. Please advise us about that, may Allah bless you.
Praise be to Allaah.
Putting one's trust in Allah involves two things:
(i) Depending on Allah and believing that He is the One
Who causes measures to be effective; His decree comes to pass; He has
decreed all things, counted them out and ordained them, may He be
glorified and exalted.
(ii) Taking appropriate measures; putting one's trust in
Allah does not mean refraining from taking measures; rather part of
putting one's trust in Allah is taking appropriate measures and
striving to do so. The one who refrains from doing so has gone against
the laws and decree of Allah. Allah hascommanded us to take
appropriate measures and He encourages us to do so; He commanded His
Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to do that.
So it is not permissible for the believer to refrain from taking
appropriate measures; in fact he is not truly putting his trust in
Allah unless he takes appropriate measures. Hence it is prescribed to
get married in order to have a child, and it is enjoined to have
intercourse. If someone were to say: I shall not get married and I
shall wait to have a child without getting married,he would be
regarded asinsane; this is not the way of those who are wise and
rational. Similarly, he should not sit in his house or in the mosque
seeking charity and waiting for provision to come to him; rather he
should strive hard and work to seek to earn halaal provision.
Maryam (may Allah have mercy on her) did not forgo taking measures.
Allah said to her (interpretation of the meaning): "And shake the
trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon
you" [Maryam 19:25]. So she shook the palm tree and took appropriate
measures until the dates fell. Her action is not contrary to taking
measures and thefact that she found provision with her and that Allah
honoured her and gave her some provision does not indicate that she
refrained from taking appropriate measures; rather she devoted herself
to worship and also took appropriate measures.
If Allah bestows upon some of His close friends some miracles
(karaamaat), this is by His grace and bounty, but that does not
indicate that we should forgo taking appropriate measures. Itis proven
that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
"Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help ofAllaah,
and do not feel helpless." Narrated by Muslim, 2664. And Allah, may He
be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): "You
(Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and
everything)" [al-Faatihah 1:5].

Jinn-Spirits - , Their Powers
Allaah has given the jinnpowers that he has not given to humans.
Allaah has told us about some of their powers, such as the ability to
move and travel quickly. An 'ifreet from among the jinn guaranteed to
the Prophet Sulaymaan (peace be upon him) that he would bring the
throne of the Queen of Yemen to Jerusalem in a moment faster than that
needed for a man to get up from where he was sitting. Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
"An 'ifreet (strong one) from the jinns said: 'I will bring it [her
throne] to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily,
I amindeed strong, and trustworthy for such work.' One with whom was
knowledge of the Scripture said: 'I will bring it to you within the
twinkling of an eye!' - then when Sulaymaan saw it placed before him,
he said, 'This is by the Grace of my Lord...'" [al-Naml 27:39-40].
