Are there any sunnah for breastfeeding a baby, or farz etc
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Dear Sister,
I pray this message finds you well.
I do not know of any specific sunnah or fard actions related to breastfeeding. However, breastfeeding, in and of itself, is recommended. The mother receives great reward for breastfeeding her baby. Additionally, it is recommended for the mother to breastfeed her baby for the first two years if she is able.
Finally, mothers should intend an act of worship while breastfeeding. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said that actions are according to intentions. Therefore, the lactating mother should intend to seek the pleasure of Allah by fulfilling her duties toward her child and providing him with wholesome sustenance.
